Pokemon 02

All of the sounds vanished as our presence was suddenly declared. I glared at her as I took another step, *snap* looking down, then frowned at the damn twig on the ground. This was not good, this was very not good.
*bzzt* bzzt*
There was no second-guessing as my staff swung around and struck out as if I was going for a home run. There was a crunching sound along with an odd splat. Something caught my foot, and I went down hard; the only thing keeping me from smacking my face was the twist and landing on my backpack.
It was on as the swarm came directly for me, I was already rolling to the side so I could get my back against the tree. During all of this, there was a flash of purple light even as I continued to strike out with my staff. My staff made contact with something hard even as I felt a slash along my side, but I didn't care. Blind swing or not, I was going to get out of here and beat that little Pokemon's ass. Ralts was not getting out of this one, starter Pokemon or not she was getting that ass whooped.
My aura pulsed outwards, and I smiled at what happened next. The tip of my staff turned into a spear and whipped out with an arcing flash. I had no clue what I just did, but I sure felt the drain.
The Beedrills stopped, and I glared at them even though a quarter of the swarm was cut down from that little aura slash of mine. My heart rate was spiked, adrenaline was flooding my system, and the spear in my hand shook a little from how hard I gripped it.

The spear in my hand shined for a bit before expanding outwards with a swirl of wind around the shaft. Out of the little transformation phase, the blade tip of the spear in my hand stabs through a Beedrill and into the one behind it as knowledge fills my mind on its proper use.
One hand on the middle of the shaft with another close to the end, I twirl in a C as I keep my back to the tree. Both Pokemon were flung from the point of my spear along with me slashing out through the air, a flash of purple and yellow drew my attention to the side. A quick glance and found that Ralts was standing a little bit to the right of where I was fighting.
Purple was around her little paws as she flashed out with attacks of psybeam. Okay, I will need to review her attacks because I didn't think she even knew that move. Then again, I didn't see myself inside of life-and-death Pokemon battles this early in my career.
That was fine though because if I remembered correctly, Psybeam was a mid-level move for any Ralts which means she was a little powerhouse in the making. Another charge of purple then a flash cleared out a few of the Beedrills and I took that as my cue as I also slashed out with my spear. I wasn't able to send out any arc's of aura, but the Beedril's didn't know that.
The ones that Ralts didn't hit dodged out of my spear's way, and I was only able to clip one of them. It wasn't the worst, since Ralts cleaned it up by sending out another psybeam at the swarm. Dashing forward, I came down hard on the Beedril's head with a stomp of my hiking boots. The carapace that made up its outer shell lasted about two stomps before it caved in.
There was a tingle up my spine which caused me to spin and go down with a twist, my spear flying out over my head. I didn't have the time to see what had happened, but I could feel the hit reverb down the spear and into my hand.
Spider-senses, well that checks out, and I was absolutely alright with it.
While kneeling, I reached out, plucked Ralts up by the back of her nape, and stuck her onto my shoulder. Then I was back on my feet and working my way towards the tree which had the Pikachu family. Ralts covered my back as I twisted around the tree and dashed across the small space. Since life was too short to live, I did a full fucking send as I jumped onto the back of what was clearly an alpha variant beedril, its head still stuck in the tree.
The Alpha Beedril was not fucking happy at all, and its reaction was that of a bucking Rapidash at the rodeo because it went wild. The wings beat hard, hitting me in the sides, but I didn't falter or fall off the bucking ride. What I did care about was the five massive stingers attached to its body. Now that I was a lot closer, I could also tell that it was a mega-evolution form.
I wasn't expecting there to be a damn Mega-Evolution out here in the wild. The main body was as large as my own, which means it was well past the usual four feet since it was nearly as large as myself. The only thing allowing me to have any control of this situation was my one hand that was down in front of its abdomen. When the mega-beedrill started to buck, my hand came up and was partially wrapped around its neck.

Ralts had fallen off my shoulder by this point, and I had also dropped my spear. Things were not looking that great from my end. The flip side was that Mega-Beedrill was a bug type with a very low carrying capacity so it wasn't going far with my 6'5 frame, 250-pound mass weighing it down. We slammed into one tree, then the ground, then into another tree as the angry monster of a Pokemon made its displeasure known.
We went down hard one more time, but this time a Pokémon was waiting right there for us. A flash of orange with yellow tips was all I needed to know that a Raichu was ready and waiting. It jumped into the mega beedrill's face and I could hear the crunch of bug bites, but that wasn't what scared me. It was the focused look of the Raichu as its checks sparked with electricity.
Ohh, that was my cue to get the fuck out of dodge. Unfortunately, I wasn't nearly as fast enough. I was still touching mega beedrill when the Raichu unleashed an unholy amount of power, point blank in mega beedrill's face. My sides lit up with pain as the wing that was touching me also sparked off.
The wing turned to ash which surprised me, but I should have seen that coming as Raichu pumped more and more power into its thunder.
There was another call of 'Chuuuuuuu!' as thunder erupted and I had to move back another few feet as the ground was blasted into a crater.
All the buzzing around me stopped for half a beat, and I turned to watch as the beedrills stare at their downed leader. The Raichu gave its dead body another blast, then all of the beedrills took that as a signal to retreat.
My adrenaline was still spiked and when the little murder lightning mouse turned to look at me, I went for a basic combat stance. The thought about wishing I had my spear had the thing zooming over to my side. Reacting quickly, I snatched the spear out of the air on reflex.

The Raichu cheeks sparked at me, then the little bastard did a snort before turning away from me. Saying nothing, I watched as it went back towards the tree. My heart was pounding in my chest too much for me to say anything about the little thunder rat dismissing me like that. Yet, I was still snapped out of my little moment due to a spike of anger.
There was a tap on the side of my leg with a call, "Ralts!"
Looking down, I didn't even notice the rock she had in her hands, I just knew that she was on the right path for a smack bottom. Ralts must have also realized this because she dropped the rock she held and turned to turn and run.
She wasn't allow to go that far as I snatched her up, put her over my knee then *pop*pop*pop* right across her behind. Once I was finished, I placed her back on the ground and firmed my face even though she gave me a pout, tears flowing down her face a little.
"Don't give me that look," I stated with a firm look on my face. "You know exactly why you earned that smack bottom."
"Ralts, ralts ralts." She replied with a wave of her hands.
I shook my head with a snort, "Doesn't matter, what you did was still a dick move.".
Her hands went up in a wave, "Ralts!"
"Yeah, yeah, you keep telling yourself that," I replied with a sigh, before noticing the rock she dropped by my feet. I could feel the pulse of energy from the thing, but I didn't know what it was. It sure as hell looked familiar though and that was saying something.
It didn't take me that long to put two and two together though. I figured this was the mega stone that beedrill was using and from the energy it was emitting, that was how it powered up to evolve in the wilds. This sure as shit wasn't Kansas anymore, and I don't know how I feel about that.
What I found on the internet was one thing, but what I found out here in the wild sure was another and damn it. I was not ready for any of this shit. Grabbing the stone, I placed it in my pocket before getting back up with a grunt.
The grunt was due to the pain in my side flaring up since the adrenaline decided that it was alright to leave my systems. Stupid body and stupid normal reactions, I was either gonna need a healing Pokémon or learn how to do it myself.
I still remembered that aura slash I used at the start of all this. That means there was a lot more to Aura than just destruction. Especially since my mind wasn't limited like those born of this world. I knew of the lore that said humans were also made by the Pokémon God Arceus.
Things got a little muddled but they had the aura within them, and I was in a reality where that aura was utilized on the regular. They viewed aura as a one-dimensional thing, or well the general public did. I haven't seen the Pokémon research to know what they think, but Oak was still on his talk about bonds. So there was a lot more there than the general one-dimensional public thinking.
Pocketing the stone, I picked up Ralts and placed her on my shoulder when I noticed that the Raichu was waiting on me to follow them. Accepting it for what it was, I followed the thunder mouse back to its tree. The little Mon dashed through the burrow at the bottom when we got there. I on the other hand was on the defensive even though I was pretty sure I was also in the clear.
This was due to the fact the tree was filled with Pokémon. Everything from its pre-evolution form to the mid-form of Pikachu, but I only noticed three other Raichu's. They were also not as large as the thunder mouse that helped to take down the mega Beedrill, so I figured that might also be another Alpha variant.
I thought that to be strange because I had no clue alphas were that common then again, this was no longer a game or anime. This was my reality now, so for better or for worse, I had to learn quick or die faster.
The sting from my side decided that it wanted to flare up and I winced as an arm reached for the spot. My hand came back with streaks of red on my fingertips, and that was the sign I needed to take care of myself. Taking a second to look around, I found a nice spot to drop my bag, then released Teddiursa from his Pokeball.
"Teddi?" the little Mon looked around at the carnage, then tilted his head in a question at me.
I shook my head at him, "It's already dealt with, but stay close and maybe go make some friends." I replied while making a hand motion towards the tree full of Pikachu.
"Teddi!" he replied, then just took a seat at his location with a paw in his mouth. Alright, if that was what he wanted to do then I had no problem with it.
It didn't take me long to strip off my shirt and get the wound clean. The only issue I had was spraying myself with the antidote and potion. The upside about all the super-advanced Pokémon gear was that they also worked on humans. The downside was it still hurt like a bitch applying anti-inflammation and rubbing alcohol to clean the wound at my side.
"RAICCCCHHHHUUUUUUU!" came the call.
My first instinct was to curse some more, but when I looked up. I found Ralts standing outside the burrow, a concerned body language shown as she shifted from foot to foot. "Ralts, Ralts Ralts…. Ralts."
There was a moment of silence before the tree burst to life. Pikachu of all shapes and sizes came pouring out of the thing as they ran to where I was. As he ran the small distance, the massive Raichu had another on its back. This one had a heart tail and was still a little above average size for this Pokémon.
This was clearly not only its mate but also the mother to the pika-troop, I want to say a troop of Pokémon. Not sure, they didn't really go over stuff like this in school. Giving the clear gauge on the side of the potion bottle a look, I found that I still had more than 70% of the potion left so I didn't feel too bad sharing. Then there were also the potions I had inside of my bag so I figured I was in a solid position.
A few of the Pikachu's sniffed at my hands, my side, and even my pants leg, but since they weren't hostile. I didn't bother to shoo them away as the boss-mon came over with his lady on his back.
"Rai, raichu?" The boss mon questioned as he looked at me.
Looking at the very large thunder mouse, I made up my mind and then made a hand motion toward the ground in front of my location. "Okay, put her down here."
Two Pokemon helped the larger Raichu down in front of me while I fiddled with the spray nozzle to the potion bottle. I turned the nozzle from a light mist to a medium steady streaming type spray. With that out of the way, I gave the female Pikachu before me a good spray along her back and front.
A spray of antiseptic to clean the wounds, two sprays of antidote and a spray of potion was all it took. Just like the wound at my side, the lacerations along with the clearly damaged tissue rapidly healed as I watched.
"Pika…" The mon said with clear exhaustion to it's voice.
The large Raichu that was waiting darted forward and nuzzled the female Pikachu even as its breathing slowed down. For half a second, I was a little worried that it might have died, but the rise and fall of its chest said otherwise.
The big Mon turned and looked at me, our eyes met for a moment, then it gave me a nod of the head. "Chu."
Turning the nod of my own, I said nothing as it took its mate back to the tree. While it did that, another one of the Pikachu's started to give orders to the rest. They jumped into motions and I had to force down my emotions as I noticed the Pikachu in charge. The damn thing was so cute with his ruff and grizzled look. It even had a double cheek scar on one side of its face.
I wanted to call him the Veteran Pikachu because that's exactly what he was. The older and far larger Raichu was cool, but I didn't like the nicked ear, which made him look raggedy. Staying out of the way, I watched as they cleared away all the bodies of the beedrills. Some were eaten on the spot, and others were buried.
The arm stingers though were all buried down deep and off to the side. I even noticed that it was buried by a marked tree of sorts. Well, I wasnt expecting that, but I also knew they didn't use tools. That's just me being a moron overthinking things too far. Getting up, I got myself ready to go, but was stopped as the Raichu came forward and made a hand motion.
One of the Pikachu's from the side stepped forward, its steps were a little hesitant. I could also tell that this was a boy because of its tail, I could see the heart shape on a few, so that was the mark of females.
I stared at the big Mon for a bit. "Are you sure?" I wanted to ask but also stopped myself from doing so.
Ash's Pikachu was a freaking beast, and this one also had the potential. Especially with its father being an Alpha variant. Not only that, but also because it was pure electric typing which means it had a better understanding of its own type energy. I might be able to skip buying Technical Machines if I can get it to teach the others it's typing.
With my decision made, I made the call, "Teddiursa, forward."
That was all it took for the other Pokémon to give us space. The Raichu gave me a firm nod and then spoke to its offspring before also clearing the space.
"TEDDIURSA!" My little Mon called out nice and loud with pride in his chest.
The opponent stepped forward and also did his own warcry. "PIKA!"
"Good, let's start things up with a tackle!" I called as I punched an arm forward. With a cry of his name, my Pokémon dashed forward.
Instead of attacking, Pikachu decided to attack with a bolt of lightning.
Seeing that I went into giving orders. "Dodge it, Teddi and get in close."The Pikachu dodged at the last second, and I had seen that coming. Pikachu was also known for their speed aside from its electrical powers. "Scratch now!"
There was a glint of normal energy from Teddiursa's claw as he raked it across the Pikachu.
The mom was knocked away with a cry. "PIKA!" it did flip mid-air and I clenched a fist as I saw that. Clearly, Ash Pikachu wasn't the only one capable of such bullshit. The Pikachu landed lightly on its feet then took off towards Teddiursa and returned with a tackle of its own. The. Followed that with an up close and personal electric attack.
"Use Lick," I commanded my Pokémon as it was far too close to Pikachu to do anything else. It worked wonders as I watched the Pikachu shiver as its muscles stopped responding. "Now fling it," I called capitalizing on the moment.
When it was thrown, I had to admit, I wasn't expecting my training to already be showing any fruits, but the Pikachu cleared the little battle arena and hit a tree. It didn't hit the tree hard, but it still made a meaty sound as it smacked into the root system. They were both winded and hurt, but that wasn't what I was looking for. It also seemed the Raichu was of the same mentality because it smirked when its son got back up on shaky feet.
The Pikachu had a fire in it's eyes, and so did my Teddiursa, and I was loving every moment. My Pokémon got into a low stance and faced off against the Pikachu who's cheeks sparked with electricity.
The Pikachu used a quick attack, and I almost reeled back from how fast it moved. There was one thing to know about something intellectually, it was another to see it play out.
"Scratch!" I yelled, the blood pumping through my veins. It showed how much of a powerhouse Teddiursa was when its claw hit the ground and made a dent. That didn't stop the Pikachu from being in its own class of speed though, because Teddiursa was slow as all hell compared to Pikachu. Now that I thought about it, both of my Pokémon were heavy hitters but slow movers.
Pikachu capitalized on Teddiursa's back being turned and unleashing a mighty lightning bolt. I considered that at the end of the match as my hand flashed out, the Pokeball flashing red beam recalling my Pokémon before he could be hurt any worse.
The Pikachu stared me down, and I didn't even flinch as I stared back. It was the Raichu that broke things up as it smacked its son across the back and pushed him forward. The Pikachu didn't look too pleased, but something was shared in poke-speech along with the Raichu pointing towards the dent Teddiursa made along the forest floor.
"Ralts." my little Mon said as she clung to my leg. Looking down, I smiled as I gave Ralts a head pat. Besides that, I kept my peace as the two Pokémon hashed out their troubles.
Picking up Ralts, I placed her on my shoulder while palming an empty ball and walking over towards the two Pokémon. From what I could tell, things were settling down, and the others were also saying goodbye.
"PIKA?" the little Mon asked with his head tilted to the side.
With a chuckle, I knelt down and held out the ball. "Yeah, it's time."
The Pokémon stared at me for a bit, the Raichu gave it's back a few pats. Then the Pikachu pressed the button on the front and was sucked into the Pokeball with a flash of light. The ball in my hand shook once, then twice before going silent. For a second I could feel the weight of what I carried in my hand along with a minor drain on my aura reserves.
Then the Pikachu was captured, and the drain vanished, the weight in the ball also shifted and I instinctively knew I had another Pokémon. Damn, the mysteries of the new world were just coming at me one after the next. So much to learn and investigate.
For now though, it was time for proper goodbyes. Placing the ball on my belt, I pressed the trigger release and allowed the Pikachu back out into the world.
"Pika, pi!'' The Pikachu stated with a smile as it waved his little paws around. With a bounce, it took the space on my other shoulder and waved to its family. They all waved back, some even threw berries. Ralts caught them, and I swiped those before she could eat the berries wholesale, the glutton.
The boss, Raichu gave me one last look, snorted with a nod then turned and vanished with a burst of speed. That was all the cue I needed that my welcome was used up. A thought brought my spear back to hand, I noticed the difference instantly as the tip was no longer on it. I'll have to figure that part out later, what I did approve of though was that it was still in staff form and I used that as a walking stick to leave the deep Forest.
Pulling out my Poke-gear, I frown at my location as the GPS showed me way off course. I wasn't just on route 29 anymore, I was on a weird spot of green that was far too close to Mount Silver for my liking. I was also diagonally across from Cherry Grove City, okay I can work with this.
Now that I had my adventure and I got my spoils, it was time to return to civilization. I wanted this Beedrillitte off my person, and I wanted to invest in one of those cross-country dune bikes. This walking shit had gotten old real fast.
With my GPS set, I set a course back to town while checking the pokenet. I would need to find out if mega stones were sold commonly like evolution stones along with market price.
I wasn't a scrub, and my shoes were way too fly for me to kick rocks. I would get myself a ride.
Author Note's:: Alright got my main storyboard hashed out and talked out a few things with a couple of friends. For those whoare still wondering about the whole aura master direction i'm taking things towards. Master battles are between a single trainer and his Pokemon against the gym master.
I have a grand battle coming that's going to be a 2v2
