Hey readers - Well, here we are at long last for the final part of 'Clefairy and the Moon Stone'.

I have to say it feels a little strange to be done with this episode, considering that when I first started writing it, I only had Meadow and Welkin established on the team, right back at the beginning of my Fire Red Pokemon Nuzlocke. And now I'm not only finished with that one, but I'm halfway through the next one. I get feels odd to finally be moving past it, but odd in a good way since we have a lot of other iconic episodes of the anime coming up : )

But enough about that. Instead, let's move on to the winner of the last voting topic. I'm sure that it will come as no surprise to you all when I announce that the winner of the returning Pokemon from Nolan's Kanto team was... Scyther! Yeah, I figured that you guys would pick this one out of the four options available, and I have to say, I'm really glad you did. Not only has it added an extremely cool Pokemon to Nolan's Orange Islands team, but it's also added two new elements that this team doesn't have so far, those being Bug and Flying. So yeah, I'm pretty happy with how this voting topic turned out ; )

Setting that aside for now, I just want to say a GIGANTIC thank you to everyone that has reviewed, favourited, and followed this story. The support that has been shown to the story is amazing, and it means so much to me, so thank you : )

Please remember that Pokemon is not mine, only my OC's are : )

I hope you enjoy this chapter : )

Clefairy and the Moon Stone - Part 6

Nolan's heart pounded furiously against his rib cage as he carefully shimmied his way along the small narrow opening, which they had previously used to gain access to the hidden area of Mount Moon inhabited by the Clefairy. The golden haired boy could easily admit that he was rather uncomfortable in that moment, and it wasn't because of the narrow space. It was because said narrow space, the entire cave and tunnel system in fact, was underground. Nolan honestly didn't think he'd ever get use to the unpleasant sensation of being underneath a mountain, and he prayed to every legendary Pokemon he'd ever heard of that he never would. Just the idea of staying down there for a moment longer than he had to was enough to send an icy cold shiver running through the boy's entire body. Needless to say, it came as an immense relief for Nolan when he finally reached the end of the narrow tunnel, and crawled out through the opening and back out onto the surface of Mount Moon. He gasped in a great big lungful of air in relief, as he tried to regain control over his nerves.

If he ever had to go underground again though, it would always be much too soon.

Despite his best efforts to calm himself however, Nolan still felt as though his heart was trying to jump straight out of his chest. The golden haired boy was honestly quite surprised that the vital organ hadn't already burst, it had been beating so wildly. Thankfully however, it seemed to be calming down now, most likely due to Nolan's relief at being back outside again. It was good timing too, for no sooner had Nolan regained control of his breathing, did he feel a gentle but insistent hand press against his back, silently urging him to move out of the way and stop blocking the entrance to the tunnel.

Nolan hastily moved to the side and stepped out of the bushes that kept the secondary entrance to Mount Moon a secret. He turned just in time to see his best friend emerge from the tunnel, and between the two of them, the boys helped Misty out as well. Finally, Brock squeezed his way through the tight opening as well, with their Pokemon bringing up the rear. The golden haired boy heaved another great sigh of relief.

He was glad that all of them had returned to the surface unscathed.

Now though, it was time to turn their attention back to more pressing matters, so pushing his lingering feelings of unease to one side, Nolan focused on what was truly important at this point, and got straight down to business.

"Right" the golden haired boy clapped his hands together to get everybody's attention, before he started without any preamble, "We need to figure out where Team Rocket have taken the Moon Stone, and we need to do it before they have a chance to leave the area, so we have to act quickly".

His friends all nodded seriously at him, happy to allow him to take charge of the situation.

"Welkin" Nolan turned to look at his Flying Type Pokemon, who was beating his wings to hover in the air close to the boy's head, "I want you to go up into the air over the mountain, and see if you can spot them. If you do see them, let us know and then guide us to them".

"Good idea" Ash nodded at his best friend in agreement, before turning to face his own feathered friend, "You go too Pidgeotto. Having both of you up there should help speed things up".

"Gey! Pidgey!" Welkin chirped his understanding, flying in circles around Nolan's head and twittering excitedly.

"Geotto!" Pidgeotto nodded towards Ash to show that she had understood the instruction as well.

Without further ado, the two Flying Type Pokemon took off, launching themselves high into the air until they both became nothing but tiny spots in the night sky above their respective trainers' heads. Once they were gone, the four humans then turned back to each other and shared a slightly strained smile.

"This is perfect" Brock reasoned after giving the situation a moment of consideration, "With Pidgeotto and Welkin tracking them from the air, and Onix and Xanthite following them underground, it shouldn't be too long before we find those criminals!"

Nolan, Ash and Misty all smiled hopefully at him in agreement.

"Fingers crossed. And then it'll be time to teach those no-good crooks another well-deserved lesson" Misty remarked, before turning to her own beloved partner Pokemon, "Plus, if it comes down to a battle, we'll have the advantage with Starmie on our side. Since you're part Psychic Type, you'll be strong against Poison Type Pokemon like Ekans and Koffing, right Starmie?"

"Star!" the jewel at the centre of Starmie's body flashed once with a bright red light, which could only be interpreted as a 'yes'.

"Bulbasaur! Meadow suddenly exclaimed before any of the four humans present had a chance to continue their conversation any further. Nolan glanced over towards the little Grass Type Pokemon, a look of curiosity etched into his features.

"What's up, Meadow?" he asked the small green creature.

"Saur, Bulba!" producing one of her thick green vines from beneath the base of her bulb, Meadow used it to gesture at something over the group's heads. As one, the four youngsters looked up, and saw to their surprise that Welkin was already descending back towards them.

"Gey! Pid! Pidgey!" the Tiny Bird Pokemon chirped excitedly in the direction of his trainer.

"That was quick" Nolan remarked, struggling to keep his eyes on his small feathery friend as he flew in circles around Nolan's head, "Did you and Pidgeotto find Team Rocket already Welkin?"

"Pidgey!" Welkin happily nodded his head in confirmation.

All four of the humans couldn't help but beam up at him, hope in each of their faces.

"Brilliant! Nice job Welkin! I knew I could count on you!" Nolan praised, and Welkin puffed out his chest proudly, "Can you and Pidgeotto lead us to them? We need to stop them as soon as possible if we want to get the Moon Stone back from them and return it to the Clefairy".

Those words were all the motivation that Welkin needed.

"Pidgey!" the Tiny Bird Pokemon cawed fiercely, and in one sharp manoeuvre, he took off higher into the air again. A moment later, the four Pokemon trainers saw Pidgeotto descent slightly, swooping off in the same direction that Welkin had.

"They're heading east" Brock observed, glancing over in that direction, "If you go down that route from Mount Moon, you'd eventually reach Cerulean City. Team Rocket must be planning to head there".

Misty paled slightly.

"Then we have to stop them quickly!" the orange haired girl exclaimed urgently, positively shivering at the thought of the chaos that those scumbags could cause in her hometown, "We can't just let them get away with the Moon Stone!"

"I agree, so let's get moving!" Ash nodded, his russet coloured eyes flashing with determination.

Nolan said nothing, but he didn't really have to. The expression on his face said it all anyway. So sharing a look of pure resolution with each of his friends, the golden haired boy set off running, the others swiftly following behind him. One singular thought was spurring the four youngsters on.

They had to track down the Moon Stone and return it to its rightful place with the Clefairy, where they would be free to worship and protect the sacred meteorite in peace.

They just had to.

Meanwhile, back in the secret cavern where the Moon Stone had once stood and would hopefully stand again very soon, Seymour had accidentally been left behind in the confusion, forgotten by everyone as they rushed to deal with the horrible situation that had arisen so unexpectedly. The poor man was still crawling around in the dirt, blinding feeling around for his missing glasses, which had fallen from his face during the scuffle with Team Rocket.

"Ooh" the young scientist whined in despair as his fingers were continuously met with nothing but soil and pebbles, "Why did this have to happen at a time like this?! I can't believe this is happening!"

Suddenly, a small pink blur popped up in front of him, startling poor Seymour out of his wits. He squinted, trying his hardest to see what was happening.

"Clefairy?" the pink blur whispered.

"I beg your pardon..." Seymour said politely as one of his theories was confirmed. The pink blur was actually one of the Clefairy, just as he had suspected.

"Clefairy" the small pink Pokemon repeated more insistently, and he noticed that Clefairy appeared to be holding something out towards him in its tiny paws. Seymour hesitantly took the offered object, and with a jolt of surprise, he realised exactly what he had just been handed.

His missing glasses.

"Oh! Thank you!" the young scientist cried in relief, slipping them on to his face, and immediately having full visibility restored to him, "Ah, that's much better! Say, you're the Clefairy that we met before and befriended, right? The one that brought us here?"

"Fairy" Clefairy bobbed her entire body in an affirmative manner.

"Well thank you for helping me" Seymour said gratefully, reaching out and gently patting Clefairy atop her head, "But I don't understand why you're still here. Why aren't you chasing after the robbers who took your Moon Stone?"

"Clefairy?" Clefairy appeared to be confused by the notion, and so Seymour tried to elaborate.

"The Moon Stone is sacred to all of you, isn't it?" the young scientist decided to try putting it a different way, "It's your responsibility to take it back from those robbers".

"Clefairy" Clefairy whimpered in fright at the idea of initiating a battle with the scary gang of criminals. Seymour seemed to understand, for he gave her another comforting pat on her head.

"I know that it can be scary, and to be honest, I was scared too. But I still tried to fight Team Rocket, because it was the right thing to do. So you have to do that as well" Seymour exclaimed passionately, and Clefairy looked up at him with wide eyes, "If you don't, you're never ever gonna see your Moon Stone again! You don't want that, do you?"

Clefairy must certainly did not.

Deep down, the small pink Pokemon knew that everything that Seymour had just said was true. The Moon Stone was practically the Clefairy Society's God. The idea of it being in the hands of bad humans like Team Rocket made her feel icy inside. No. Despite their peaceful nature, they couldn't just allow it to be stolen from them. Inspired, Clefairy bounced over to the leader of the Clefairy, and she quickly explained the situation the way that she saw it. One singular thought kept going around and around in Clefairy's head as she did so.

Action must be taken, and it must be taken now.

Jessie, James and Meowth all howled and rolled around with laughter as they made their great escape. Having successfully swiped the Moon Stone right from underneath the twerps' noses, Team Rocket had carefully strapped the ancient meteorite of legend to a large wooden sleigh. Once satisfied that their loot was appropriately secure, the gang of criminals had then rode on either side of the sleigh, using gravity to their advantage as they tobogganed all the way down the mountainside, their momentum building with each passing second, and allowing them to make a speedier escape than they ever could have achieved on foot.

Now, they were almost home-free.

"Nice guys always..." Jessie drawled out between her laughter, trailing off in order to allow her male counterpart to pick up the mocking.

"Finish last!" James finished for her. The smirk on his face was unbelievably malicious. Heck, if they didn't have bigger fish to fry, the cyan haired man might have been tempted to stick around just to see the looks on those losers' faces.

"We just went from worst to first, Meowth!" Meowth cackled gleefully.

The Scratch Cat Pokemon was happily perched on top of the Moon Stone, enjoying the ride as they whizzed down the mountainside at break-neck speed. On one side of him, Ekans was coiled up on the fabled boulder, but was clinging on tightly with his tail, whilst on Meowth's other side, Koffing floated alongside them all. All three of the Pokemon looked just as pleased with themselves as the two humans did. They were going to be the victors this time around. Nothing could go wrong.

Until something did.

"OOOOOOONNNNNNNIIIIIIIXXXXXXX!"

Quite literally from out of nowhere, the ground just a couple of yards ahead of Team Rocket's sleigh suddenly burst outwards, as what appeared to be a huge pillar comprised entirely out of solid stone erupted from under the earth's crust and towered up high into the sky over their heads. When the stone pillar thrashed about, the group of criminals quickly came to realise that it was in actual fact a living creature, an Onix to be precise. Not that the knowledge was of much use to them. The sleigh was moving much too fast. Stopping it in time would be next to impossible...

WHAM!

"Aaaahhh!" petrified screams of pain and panic tore their way past the lips of each member of Team Rocket. The unavoidable collision with the impassable Rock Snake Pokemon had sent their sleigh on a ricochet. The wooden transportation immediately shattered upon impact and was reduced to splinters. The ropes that had bound the Moon Stone to it had come loose, allowing the majestic fabled meteorite to harmlessly roll away a couple of feet. Miraculously, there wasn't so much as a scuff mark or a scratch on the ancient relic. Team Rocket on the other hand... didn't roll.

They all face-planted the ground instead.

"Oh..." Jessie let out a feeble moan as she and her teammates all gingerly sat up. Nursing her aching side, where no doubt there'd be an impress bruise come tomorrow morning, she slowly clambered back to her feet. Her head was pounding, but that was the least of her troubles.

No. Those were only just beginning.

"Got them!" a triumphant voice called out. A voice which Jessie was quickly coming to despise.

Sure enough, running towards the villains all sprawled out on the ground, were none other than Nolan, Ash, Misty and Brock, as well as all their Pokemon. Each of them had a very determined expression on his or her face, and that told Team Rocket everything they needed to know.

Nolan and his friends... meant business.

"Nice work, Onix!" Brock called out to his partner Pokemon before any of the criminals had a chance to react to their presence, "Grab them, now! Use your Bind attack!"

"OOONNNIIIXXX!" letting out another long bellowing roar, Onix coiled his huge elongated body around, and with surprising speed for such a bulky creature, swung his tail around like a whip in the direction of Team Rocket. They didn't take too kindly to the obvious threat though , and James was quickly on his feet and ordering a counter-strike.

"Block it with your Tackle attack Koffing!" the cyan haired man commanded.

"Koffing!" drifting through the air like a demented happy balloon, Koffing floated up towards where Onix's head was. The Poison Type Pokemon was close to striking Brock's beloved partner, but Nolan had his friends' backs.

"Xanthite quick! Help Onix out!" Nolan called out to his newest Pokemon when he spotted her floating up out of the opening in the earth that Onix's surprise entrance had carved out, "Defend him by using Rock Throw!"

"Geo!" Xanthite nodded, and reacting quickly, the small Rock Type Pokemon quickly picked up a large stray stone that had been dislodged by Onix's tunnelling. With startling accuracy, she then lobbed it straight towards Koffing.

THUD!

"Koffing!" the violet coloured spherical creature immediately cried out in pain as Xanthite's aim held true, and he was struck directly between the eyes.

Unsurprisingly after taking a hit like that, the criminal Poison Type Pokemon was knocked off course by Xanthite's attack, and failed to make contact with Onix. It didn't make much difference in the end however. Having used the distraction caused by the three Pokemon to their advantage; Jessie, James, Meowth and Ekans had all quickly scrambled out of range of Onix's huge tail. They weren't backing down though. They had come here to get their hands on the Moon Stone, and they were not going to leave without it.

The two groups were now at a standoff, glaring fiercely at each other in mutual loathing.

Nolan was about to call for a three-pronged attack, seeing as Meadow, Welkin and Xanthite were all already out of their pokeballs, and clearly eager to get a little payback for all of the horrible things that Team Rocket had done. The words were even on the tip of the golden haired boy's tongue, but sadly for all of them, he wouldn't be getting the chance to utter any of them. For suddenly, and quite without warning, their showdown with the gang of criminals was gate-crashed, by the most unlikely of sources.

"Hey, look!" Ash exclaimed as he too spotted the same interruption that his best friend just had.

"It's Seymour!" Misty added, surprise colouring both her tone and expression.

The young girl was right. It was Seymour.

Of all people, it was the rather nerdy, somewhat anxious Seymour that suddenly popped out of the tunnel opening that Onix had created, his glasses now firmly back on his face, and his eyes behind them widening in surprise as he took in the scene before him. Even more surprising was the fact that the scientist hadn't come after them all on his own. Dozens upon dozens of Clefairy were now spilling out of the entrance to the underground tunnel as well, although for what purpose Nolan wasn't quite sure. The golden haired boy recalled what the pokedex had said about them after all. By nature, Clefairy were not Pokemon that generally enjoyed battling, and let's face it, Seymour wasn't really much use in a fight either, as proven earlier in the confrontation, courtesy of Meowth. And it was for all of those reasons that what happened next came as a complete surprise, not only to Nolan, but to everybody else present on the mountainside as well.

The Clefairy... were starting to dance.

In almost perfect synchronisation, each and every one of the mysterious little pink creatures had spread out so that the whole area was covered with them. Then, again in perfect unity, the entire Clefairy Society of Mount Moon began waving their tiny fingers back and forth in a very peculiar manner.

"Clefairy... Clefairy... Clefairy..." all of the Clefairy began chanting together, including the one that had befriended Nolan and his friends.

"Meowth!" Meowth exclaimed, feeling a little disorientated by the enchanting and yet bizarre sight before all of them, "What's going on?"

Privately, Nolan thought that was an excellent question, though he'd never admit it out loud of course. True be told, the golden haired boy didn't have even the faintest idea as to what the Clefairy were all doing. His icy blue eyes were locked on to the group of small pink Pokemon in utter fascination, and after a few moments, something very... odd, began happening.

Nolan found himself swaying in time with the waving fingers of each of the Clefairy.

It was almost hypnotic, the rhythmic movement, but Nolan could still think clearly, so he knew that he hadn't fallen into any kind of trance. He just felt... compelled to keep watching and keep swaying in time with them. He couldn't have stopped even if he wanted to, and he wasn't the only one to feel that way. Ash, Misty, Brock, Seymour, Team Rocket, and even the Pokemon all seemed to have be put under the same spell. They were all enchanted as they watched the Clefairy continue doing... whatever it was that they were doing.

"What are they doing?" Jessie was the one to ask the question that was weighing on everybody's mind in that moment.

"They're waving their fingers!" James replied, rather stating the obvious.

"This way and that way, this way and that way" Meowth said as he continued to sway in time with the Clefairy's rhythmic movements.

The strange effect was still holding on Nolan and his friends as well. They all continued swaying, as they all intently watched the mysterious pink creatures before them, as they continued their hypnotic ritual.

"I'm getting dizzy" Misty whispered in a breathless tone.

Nolan could see what she meant. The swaying was beginning to make him feel a little nauseous too. He wondered if this was what seasickness felt like. He'd never suffered from the affliction himself after all. The golden haired boy quickly shook those thoughts away. They were hardly important at a time like this after all.

"What's... what's happening?" Nolan managed to gasp out. He wasn't really expecting an answer, so he was surprised when somebody actually had one to offer up.

"This is an attack that Clefairy use. It's called the Metronome" Seymour explained, his voice trembling with anticipation, as he, like the rest of them, all continued swaying in time with the Clefairy's wiggling fingers, "I've never seen the Clefairy use their Metronome before. Who knows what'll happen?!"

They might not have had any idea about what was to come in that precise moment, but all of that was quickly about to change.

"Clefairy!"

Suddenly, and yet somehow again in almost-perfect synchrony, all of the Clefairy abruptly came to a halt. Their fingers were all pointed up straight towards the night sky, and as Nolan and the others all looked on incredulously, tiny orbs of dazzlingly bright white light appeared at the fingertips of each of the mysterious little pink creatures. It was almost as if they had drawn the silvery ethereal energy from the stars themselves. And then...

BOOM!

Gaping like a Goldeen out of water, Nolan's jaw dropped wide open as the energy that each of the Clefairy had produced at their fingertips suddenly exploded outwards. Surrounding him, the dumbstruck expression on Nolan's face was mirrored on the faces of each of his friends. Team Rocket on the other hand, never got the opportunity to get that far. Instead, the force of the explosion washed over all five of them. The end result was inevitable...

The gang of criminals was sent hurtling away across the night sky.

"Well, it looks like Team Rocket is..." an entirely dishevelled Jessie whimpered in pain.

"Blasting off again!" a particularly singed James finished for her.

"That was the Metronome!" Meowth screamed as he soared up between the two humans, along with an unconscious Ekans and Koffing.

"I give it two thumbs down" Jessie shrieked.

"Me too!" James exclaimed.

"Meowth three!" Meowth wailed fearfully.

And those were the last words from the criminal organisation that could be heard from the ground. From their positions on the mountainside, Nolan and his friends all watched happily as their most loathsome enemies became nothing more than a glint of light on the horizon, one which quickly faded away. Nolan and the others all knew what that meant.

The conflict was over.

Clefairy and the Moon Stone were safe.

In fact, they were actually a little bit better than just merely safe from the clutches of the villainous Team Rocket. Because the surprises of that night weren't done just yet. There was still one more to come, and it soon began to unveil itself.

The Moon Stone... started glowing...

Perhaps it was in response to the power of the Clefairy's Metronome. Perhaps it was because of the exposure to direct moonlight. Perhaps the ancient meteorite simply sensed the threat to its own safety, if such a thing was possible. Regardless of the boy's theories, what happened next caught Nolan completely off-guard.

In a display of immense and unimaginable power, the silver light which emanated from the Moon Stone suddenly burst forth from the fabled boulder, not unlike the show of power that the Clefairy had just put on. The difference this time however, was that there was no explosion. Instead silver rays of light shone out from the legendary meteorite, and struck many of the surrounding Clefairy head on. Not all of the mysterious pink creatures were caught in the moonbeams, but those that were immediately became shrouded in a somewhat familiar dazzling white light.

"Wow!" Ash let out a low breath of astonishment.

"It's beautiful!" an enthralled Misty gushed in awe.

"It's the Moon Stone..." Seymour trailed off, shaking his head in amazement, struggling to find any appropriate words to describe what he was seeing, "It's power..."

"It's causing some of the Clefairy to evolve!" an awestruck Nolan exclaimed happily, watching with mystified eyes as the amazing scene before them continue to unfold. He was right of course. That was what the dazzlingly bright light from before had been, and why the golden haired boy had had no trouble in recognising it.

It was the light of evolution.

Just as predicted, one by one, the affected Clefairy all began to morph and change. Their bodies grew much larger, and the tiny wispy wings on their backs became much more pronounced. As the light began to fizzle and fade, Nolan could see that the new creatures in amongst the Clefairy had retained their pink colouring, though their now bigger and stronger wings had became a darker shade.

"Clefable!"

"Clefable!"

"Clefable!"

The newly evolved creatures were all calling out their names proudly, whilst all around them, the Clefairy that had not been struck by the beams of light from the Moon Stone and had retained their prior evolutionary stage, were all admiring them in amazement.

Gobsmacked by this latest event, the golden haired boy could do little more than numbly retrieve his pokedex from his pocket. Unable to utter a single word to describe the beauty of the mysterious new creatures that stood before him, the young Pokemon trainer just silently pointed the device at one of the nearest new creatures, almost shell-shocked by what had just happened.

"Clefable - the Fairy Pokemon" Dexi eventually announced in her smooth voice, after taking a little longer than usual to identify the mysterious new Pokemon, "Clefable is the fully evolved form of Clefairy. These unique creatures are among the rarest Pokemon in the world. As such, little is known about them, other than the fact that they appear to wield a mysterious unworldly power".

Still gaping in sheer amazement at what he had just been blessed enough to witness, Nolan slowly returned his pokedex to his pocket. He couldn't help but feel a little relieved that this phenomenon had occurred after Team Rocket had been sent packing. If the criminal gang ever found out about this, that not only were the Moon Stone legends true, but that it was now being guarded by mysterious and incredibly rare Pokemon... well, the Clefairy Society would probably never have another moment's peace again. No. This was something that must remain a secret at all costs, and with a quick glance at the faces of all of his friends, human and Pokemon alike, Nolan was relieved to see that they all appeared to share in that sentiment. A warm feeling settled in his gut, and a smile appeared on his face, as it truly began to sink in that they had won, and that everything was going to be okay now. That smile faded slightly as his gaze shifted over to the Moon Stone though. They were going to have one hell of a job getting that back to where it belonged. Still, they would manage.

After all, they always did.

Manage it they did.

It took an awful lot of coordination on everybody's part, and it was by no means a simple or easy task, but between all of them, they actually managed to return the sacred Moon Stone back to the altar in the secret cavern that the Clefairy had built to worship the legendary meteorite. It still took them all a good few hours worth of hard work however, and by the time that they had finished, dawn was slowly beginning to break over the Kanto region, and the first few rays of sunlight were beginning to sweep across the land.

On the plus side, Nolan and his friends were all treated to another viewing of the Clefairy's worship ritual for their efforts, and it was even more impressive the second time around with the addition of the newly evolved Clefable. The transformation had only increased their majestic charm and grace. Truly, it was a breathtakingly beautiful sight, and a memory that Nolan would cherish for the rest of his life.

Sadly though, they all knew that they couldn't stay with the Clefairy Society and watch them dance away forever, despite how much they might have wished to. The arrival of a new day meant the time to resume their Pokemon journey had also come, so now Nolan and his friends were all outside again, standing by the secret entrance to the hidden tunnel, and saying their goodbyes to those that had come to see them off. Namely Seymour and the Clefairy that they had initially befriended. She had not been one of those affected by the power of the Moon Stone, and thus had retained the same evolutionary form in which they had all initially met her.

"And what about you, Seymour?" Nolan asked politely as things were wrapping up, and it was almost time for them to get their journey underway again, "What are you going to do now?"

The scientist gave the youngster an excited smile before responding to the question.

"I've decided that for the time being, I'm going to live here with the Clefairy and Clefable" the young man stated with a warm smile in the direction of Clefairy.

"Really?" Ash asked, the surprise evident in his tone. Seymour gave him a patient smile.

"It's been my life's dream to find the Moon Stone" the young scientist explained, but then his eager grin twisted into a worried frown, "But I'm concerned that other robbers might try and come here, now that Team Rocket knows the Moon Stone's location. Somebody has to stay here to make sure that it isn't taken again, and to ensure it's well guarded, although I think the Clefairy and Clefable will make sure that the events of last night never repeat themselves, right?"

He aimed that last part towards the tiny pink creature at his side. She smiled warmly up at him.

"Clefairy" she nodded in agreement.

Nolan couldn't help but smile knowingly as he carefully regarded the two of them. Although both the human and the Pokemon seemed totally oblivious to the connection that seemed to be growing between them, the golden haired boy could easily spot the signs of a great partnership in the making. It warmed him to know that Seymour might be on the path to finding such a blessing. A Pokemon partner was a thing to be dearly cherished after all. Still, they had to work that out for themselves, so Nolan kept his thoughts to himself on the subject.

"I plan to do a respectful, non-invasive study on both the Moon Stone and these special Pokemon" Seymour beamed down at the four youngsters, his eyes shining excitedly behind his glasses, "Someday, I will travel to the stars with the Clefairy".

"Wow!" Misty breathed in awe, and really, what else was there to say to such a bold declaration?

"When you do visit outer space, I hope you'll remember to send us a postcard" Brock lightly teased, and Seymour laughed heartily.

"Well... I think it's time for us to hit the road again, so goodbye Seymour" Nolan said to the eccentric but kind-hearted scientist, before turning to the tiny pink Pokemon at his side, "Goodbye Clefairy. You two take care of each other".

"Fairy. Clefairy" Clefairy nodded with a smile.

"Pikachu" Pikachu said goodbye to his fellow Pokemon.

"Bulba" Meadow also said her goodbyes to the latest friend that they had made on their travels.

Nolan and his friends all turned and began to carefully make their way down the sloping terrain of the mountainside. As they went, they heard Seymour call out to them one final time, and so the young Pokemon trainers all turned to wave over their shoulders at him and Clefairy, who was waving a tiny pink paw at them in response.

"Goodbye kids! Goodbye Pikachu and Meadow!" Seymour said to them, expressing the deep gratitude that he felt towards them all for the kindness, courage and fierce determination that he had seen in them in the short time that he'd known them, "And thank you all!"

The children just kept smiling and waving for a couple more moments, before they resumed their trek down the mountain. It wasn't long before Seymour and Clefairy were out of sight entirely, and once they were, the conversation between Nolan and his friends quickly started up again.

"Do you think the Clefairy really came to Earth from outer space?" Ash couldn't help but feel curious about his friends' opinions on the subject.

"I dunno" Nolan shrugged his shoulders at his raven haired best friend, "I doubt that every Pokemon species came from another planet like Seymour suggested, but perhaps just one evolutionary family of Pokemon being extra-terrestrial is feasible. Anything's possible I suppose".

"Either way, it's fun to imagine they did" Misty chimed in, and all of the boys grinned at her in agreement.

Soon enough, the small group of trainers and their beloved Pokemon made it to the foot of the mountain, and they continued on the next leg of their journey. As they went, each of them was wrapped up in his or her thoughts. Nolan's in particular were fixated on the new friend he had made and was taking with him. His fingertips ghosted across the surface of Xanthite's pokeball fondly, and he smiled. Only one thing was for certain in that moment.

Nolan would never forget his visit to the natural mystery that was Mount Moon.

And that, as they say, is that : D

Yep, that marks the end of 'Clefairy and the Moon Stone'. Like I said before, it feels a little strange to be done with this one since the first chapter of this episode has been sitting on my computer finished for well over a year at this point, but I'm also really excited for the upcoming episodes since I have a lot of ideas for them, plus Nolan now has his fourth member of his team in the story in the form of Xanthite, so I'm really happy about that XD I also liked the idea of Seymour and Clefairy becoming partner, which might be something I explorer further if I ever decide to come back to those characters in the future ; )

But I digress, so instead, let's move on to this week's voting topic, and this time it's gonna be an Evolution Vote : D I'm quite excited for this one since it's been quite a while since we've had one of these, but because I managed to beat Cissy, the first gym leader in this game, and earned the Coral Eye Badge, it's time that they came back. Oh, and unlike in the anime where Ash had to win a series of unusual challenges to earn his badges in the Orange Islands, the creators of this Rom Hack just made them all standard battles, which personally I much prefer. Also, considering that Cissy fought with a level 20 Seadra and a level 22 Blastoise, she was no real struggle to defeat. Either way, you guys now get to vote between these options to decide which member of the team gets to evolve. The options this time are Tentacool, Vulpix, Porygon and Scyther.

Now remember, since there are only four chances to gain evolutions in this Nuzlocke, and even they're not completely guaranteed as I could technically wipe out and lose the entire run, you have to really make your vote for this one count. To be perfectly honest, I'd actually be really happy with any of these four Pokemon evolving, since I actually really like all of their next stages. But it's not up to me. It's up to you guys XD

And I think that's just about everything from me for this week. Thank you so much for reading this chapter and my story in general, and I hope you're enjoying it so far. Please also consider leaving a review because I'd love to hear your comments and feedback : )

Until the next time, keep on reading : )
