It's been almost a month since Liv's been back home, she was now nine-ten weeks pregnant and her ultrasound was today, January twenty-seventh, she packed her bag for the next two days last night, setting her alarm for seven AM so she can arrive to DC early.
Liv boarded her flight around eight AM, arriving to DC at nine forty AM, she walked out the airport with her bag, rubbing her pregnant belly, looking bloated, not fully showing yet, her third month was coming up soon and she was excited, a month closer to pushing out her baby.
Eli waited by his car, excited to see his daughter after a month, Liv soon spotted him and smiled widely, walking quickly to her father, he spotted her and smiled big, holding out his arms for her, she placed her bag down and hugged him tightly.
"Welcome back home, my beautiful daughter.", she smiled and chuckled softly, "Thank you dad, it's good to be back.", they broke the hug, grabbing her bag again, "How was the flight?", he asked, grabbing her bag from her.
She smiled, "It was short but good, I was reading and listening to music.", "Really? What were you reading?", she looked down and smiled widely, "Just a baby book for first time parents.", he smiled and grabbed her hand, making her look back up at him, "I'm proud of you.", he said, genuinely, she looked at him, slightly shocked, "For being pregnant?", he chuckled and shook his head, "No, absolutely not especially at a young age, but I'm proud because you're doing what's best for you and this baby, you're even willing to learn when you're still early in your pregnancy.".
She nodded and smiled, understanding why her dad wasn't too happy about her being pregnant while still in college and growing as a person, still appreciating his words, "Thank you dad, that means a lot to me.", he wrapped his arms around her gently, "I'll always be proud of you, Liv.".
After talking for a few more minutes, they finally got in the car and drove home, discussing what to eat for lunch, Eli offered to make sandwiches for them which Liv agreed, just wanting to eat.
They soon got home, Liv decided to unpack while Eli made their sandwiches, she sat on her bed, texting Fitz, her ultrasound was in a few hours and Fitz decided to come since it was his child after all, he said 'he would be there in an hour or two', meaning Liv had time to eat and get ready but also talk to her father about something important.
Liv headed downstairs after unpacking and talking with Fitz, entering the kitchen, "Hey dad.", she said, smiling as she took her seat at the island, "Hi sweetie, you came right on time.", he smiled and placed her plate in front of her, "Wow, this looks delicious.", he smiled and kissed her head, "Eat up.", he sat across from her before they began eating.
Soon finishing their sandwiches, Liv thought it was time to ask her farther a very important question, she licked her lips a little and looked at her father, nervous, "Dad?", "Hmm?", he looked up at her from his newspaper, "I want to ask you something.. important", he removed his glasses and set down the paper, "Proceed.", she took a deep breath.
"So, I had the idea of living here when I gradated in March, by that time I'll be three to four months pregnant, but.. Fitz had the idea of me living with him instead so the baby can live with both parents and plus the baby will have an official place to call home until we decide to move but I don't think we will until we decide if we want more kids.".
He nodded slowly, "So you're asking me for permission to live with your boyfriend?", she gulped a little and slightly nodded, he leaned back in his chair and chuckled a little, not knowing how to feel about his daughter living with her boyfriend, who is way older then her, even if she is pregnant with his baby.
"So?..", she bit her lip nervously, he looked directly in her eyes making her more nervous, "I don't know.", she sighed , "Well.. at least think about it, please, for me. I think Fitz is right and I want this baby to be around both parents and we can prepare to raise this baby.. together.".
He nodded, "I'll think about it.", he grabbed his newspaper, putting his glasses back on, she sighed and stood up, "I'm going to get ready for the appointment.", she said before walking out the kitchen, heading upstairs, a little upset with her father.
