Ben hurriedly followed Toriel through the doorway, his curiosity piqued by the unfolding mystery of the underground world. As he entered the next room, his eyes took in the sight before him. A large door stood at the far end, adorned with an air of significance. Yet, it was not the door alone that caught his attention.

Scattered across the floor were several pressure plates, each positioned meticulously. His gaze drifted to the side, where a yellow lever jutted out from the wall, an intriguing contrast to the ancient stone surroundings. It was clear that there was more to this place than met the eye.

Observing Toriel's movements, he watched as she elegantly maneuvered over the pressure plates, specifically the second and fourth rows. With a sense of purpose, she reached for the yellow lever and pulled it down. A soft rumble resonated through the room as the door began to open, revealing a path that beckoned them forward.

"The Ruins are full of puzzles," Toriel explained, her voice carrying a tone of both wisdom and nostalgia. "Ancient fusions between diversions and door keys. One must solve them to move from room to room." Her words held a weight that hinted at the significance of this place, its history intertwined with enigmatic challenges.

"I wonder if the other puzzles in this place are as straightforward," Ben pondered, his experiences as a hero exposing him to far more dangerous challenges. He couldn't help but feel a flicker of confidence in his ability to navigate through whatever lay ahead.

As Toriel gracefully moved into the next room, Ben followed closely in her footsteps. The surroundings seemed to shift subtly, hinting at the ever-changing nature of the Ruins.

"To make progress here," Toriel's voice resonated, carrying the weight of her guidance, "you will need to trigger several switches. Do not worry, I have labeled the ones that need to be flipped."

She paused at the entrance of a small bridge. Ben's gaze followed her lead, and to his left, a conspicuous yellow button came into view. Arrows seemed to point directly at it, guiding his attention.

Ben approached the button and pulled it down with a decisive motion. As he turned his gaze back to Toriel, he noticed her graceful progression toward the next area. She stood before a door with a distinctive pointed tip at its base. To the left of the door, two arms protruded, one adorned with arrows pointing toward it once more, while the other remained unadorned.

Guided by the arrows, Ben went to the designated button and pulled it down without hesitation. Satisfied with his action, he retraced his steps to rejoin Toriel's side.

"Splendid!" Toriel's warm voice resonated, an expression of pride evident in her eyes. "I am proud of you, young man. Let us move to the next room." With that, Toriel led the way into the next area, and Ben walked beside her.

"As a human who lives underground, monsters can attack you. You have to be prepared for this situation," Toriel's voice resonated, carrying a tone of caution and wisdom.

''Monsters...? Is that why they're called?'' Ben's thoughts raced, connecting the dots. ''I need to find a suitable rest area and assess my condition. And not only that, the Omnitrix is still not working,'' he contemplated, his gaze briefly falling to the unresponsive device on his arm.

Toriel's words echoed in his mind, ''monsters can attack you.'' A realization dawned upon him, prompting a cascade of questions. ''Because I am human?'' he pondered, the mystery of this underground world deepening with every step he took.

While thoughts swirled through Benjamin's mind, a soft cough from his side drew his attention. He turned to find Toriel's gaze upon him, her concern evident in her eyes. "Are you okay, young man?" she inquired gently.

''O-oh, sorry,'' Benjamin stammered, momentarily caught off guard. ''I was lost in thought about a few things. What were you saying?'' He sought to regain his composure

''Do not worry, young one,'' Toriel reassured him, her gentle tone carrying a sense of wisdom. ''I was saying that monsters can attack you, so you have to be prepared for such situations.''

Benjamin's usual response might have been one of self-assured independence, but he recognized the unfamiliarity of this underground world and the potential dangers it held. With a nod, he acknowledged Toriel's advice, his openness to learning and adapting evident in his posture.

"However, don't worry! The process is simple," Toriel continued, her reassuring demeanor unwavering. "When you encounter a monster, you will enter a fight. To end the fight, engage in a friendly conversation."

As Toriel's words settled in, Ben's brow furrowed in confusion. Engaging in conversation to resolve conflicts with monsters seemed like an unusual concept to him. He couldn't help but reflect on his life as a hero – battles fought, adversaries defeated. While he had occasionally resolved situations through talking, more often than not, his path had led to confrontation.

Intrigued yet uncertain, Ben contemplated this new approach. It was a reminder that the world beneath the surface held its own rules and surprises, ones he was only beginning to uncover.

"All right then," Ben huffed as he approached the training dummy, his curiosity piqued by the unconventional nature of the task. He cleared his throat before addressing the inanimate figure. "My name is Ben Tennyson. What's your name, dude?"

Silence ensued, and Ben's eye began to twitch in mild frustration. "Oh man, luckily Kevin can't see this here. If he saw this, he would haunt me for the rest of my life," Ben muttered under his breath, a faint snarl tugging at his lips.

"Uhhh, I think that's enough Toriel. Let's go," Ben said, careful not to hurt her feelings.

"Hmm... Maybe I should change this," Toriel muttered thoughtfully.

"Let's go, young one," she said with a warm smile before proceeding to the next room. Ben followed closely behind her, stepping into the next area.

"There is another puzzle in this room. I wonder if you can solve it?" Toriel said, her voice carrying a hint of curiosity and challenge.

Ben began to follow Toriel into the next area, anticipation building within him. However, his attention was abruptly diverted as a small frog suddenly appeared, positioned as if ready to fight.

"Is that... a frog?" Ben's eyebrows arched in a combination of surprise and bemusement. The sight of a frog poised for battle was certainly unexpected, adding yet another layer of peculiarity to this mysterious underground world. As he observed the frog, a memory flashed through his mind—of a certain encounter during his adventures that involved frog-like enemies on the planet Incursia. Could this frog be just as mischievous as those Incursian creatures? Only time would tell.

Ben stared defiantly at the frog, his gaze unyielding and his stance unwavering. In the face of his resolute demeanor, the frog's bravado seemed to wither away like a wilted leaf.

As Ben continued on his way, a thought crossed his mind. "Actually, I didn't give the frog that harsh of a look," he mused, a faint grin tugging at the corners of his lips. He couldn't help but be amused by the quick retreat of the would-be opponent.

As they walked, Ben caught a glimpse of Toriel's expression out of the corner of his eye. She wore a gentle smile, but there was an underlying sense of caution, as if she anticipated an inquiry that she might not want to answer.

"You did great, young one. You resolved the situation peacefully, preventing any harm from coming to either side," Toriel commended, her words carrying a warm approval that resonated within him.

The room before them stretched out with a peculiar challenge. The floor was a perilous landscape of spikes, and water surrounded the treacherous terrain. Toriel's voice wavered as she spoke, "This is the puzzle, but...''

Before she could continue, Ben interjected with an air of confidence, ''Don't worry, Toriel. I can easily solve this puzzle.'' His words resonated with assurance, a testament to the myriad challenges he had faced in his life as a hero.

With a determined glint in his eyes, Ben surveyed the room, analyzing the intricate puzzle before him. He quickly deduced the solution, his experience as a hero allowing him to navigate challenges of all kinds. "Watch this," he remarked to Toriel, his confidence unwavering.

With deliberate steps, Ben maneuvered through the hazardous spikes and water, deftly avoiding any danger. He reached the other side unscathed, a small grin playing on his lips as he turned to face Toriel. "Piece of cake," he added, a touch of pride in his voice.

Toriel's eyes widened in astonishment and delight as she watched Ben flawlessly navigate the puzzle. A sense of hope stirred within her, a glimmer that maybe, just maybe, this human before her had the potential to survive the challenges ahead. "Perhaps... perhaps this one can survive," Toriel whispered to herself, her words tinged with a newfound optimism. As she gazed at Ben, a small smile curved her lips, and her heart brimmed with a tentative hope for his future in this enigmatic underground world.

"Come on, Toriel," Ben called out, his voice carrying a hint of eagerness.

"I'm coming, young one," Toriel replied, her gentle demeanor unwavering as she gracefully navigated the puzzle, her movements a testament to her familiarity with the Ruins.

"Let's continue, young one," Toriel said, her warm smile inviting Ben to follow as they moved forward together, their journey through the enigmatic underground world forging a bond of companionship and shared experiences.

As they stepped into the next room, an expanse of length stretched out before them, its dimensions seemingly elongated in a way that heightened the sense of anticipation. With each step they took, the room seemed to unfold like a corridor of mysteries, inviting them to explore its depths.

Side by side, Toriel and Ben continued their journey through the room, their footsteps echoing softly against the unseen walls. The path they tread upon was a thread of curiosity and determination, leading them further into the heart of this labyrinthine underworld.

As the room's expanse gradually dwindled, their destination came into view—a white pillar adorned with intricate vines, as though nature itself sought to reclaim its architecture. This pillar, standing with an air of quiet elegance, marked the threshold to the next chapter of their exploration.

"Now, I need you to place your trust in me, young one," Toriel's voice held a gentle yet earnest tone, her words carrying the weight of her responsibilities and the unspoken bond that was forming between them. With a steadying breath, she continued, "I have some matters that require my attention. You have a choice—to wait here for my return, or to embark on a journey of exploration within the ruins."

Ben's brows furrowed slightly as he considered his options. The sense of curiosity that had driven him this far tugged at him, urging him to uncover more of the mysteries this place held. "I think I'll explore the ruins," he finally decided, his voice reflecting the excitement that simmered beneath the surface.

Toriel's gaze held a mixture of understanding and concern, her concern evident in the way she spoke. "Very well, but please exercise caution, young one. While I attend to my duties, I implore you not to venture into situations that may put you in undue danger."

A confident smile graced Ben's features, his assurance carrying the weight of his experience as a hero. "You can trust me, Toriel. I've faced countless challenges before, and I'll make sure to keep myself safe."

With a nod, Toriel's smile mirrored his confidence. "I believe in you, Ben. Just remember to be mindful of your surroundings and heed the lessons the ruins may offer."

As Toriel departed, her figure fading into the distance, Ben's gaze remained fixed on the entrance to the next room. A new chapter of his adventure beckoned, filled with the promise of discovery, companionship, and the unknown.

As Ben stepped into the room, his attention was immediately drawn to a frog perched to his the frog, Ben found himself taken aback as the creature began to speak, its voice a series of croaks that somehow conveyed a message.

"(Ribbit, Ribbit) Excuse me, humans," the frog's words seemed to resonate within the air itself, an unexpected yet oddly comforting form of communication. "I have some advice for you two about battling monsters." With a soft croak, it paused before continuing its revelation, its eyes glistening with an otherworldly knowingness. "(Ribbit) If you choose to approach monsters with peace in your heart during battle, they will respond in kind. Should a monster show no inclination for combat, I beseech you to embrace MERCY, dear humans. (Ribbit)"

Ben's brows arched in a mixture of fascination and understanding as he absorbed the frog's words. The notion of peaceful negotiation instead of conflict was a concept he had encountered in various forms during his adventures. His experiences as a hero had taught him the value of empathy and communication, even in the heat of battle. "Don't worry, dude," he responded with a warm smile directed at the frog. "I won't engage in a fight with someone who doesn't seek it."

As Ben's gaze remained fixed on the amphibian, he couldn't help but marvel at the unexpected allies he was encountering in this underground realm. The conversations he was having, the lessons he was learning—each encounter was contributing to the intricate tapestry of his journey, one that seemed to be woven with threads of connection and understanding.

As Ben stepped through the doorway to the right of the Froggit, his gaze was immediately drawn to the center of the room. There, placed delicately within a bowl, was an assortment of candies. The vibrant colors and tempting allure of the treats created a whimsical contrast to the mysterious and sometimes eerie atmosphere of the underground world. Drawn by curiosity and perhaps a hint of nostalgia, Ben approached the bowl and found himself facing a sign that carried a simple message: "Take One."

The decision before him was seemingly straightforward, yet it carried an air of significance that he couldn't quite place. His thoughts danced on the edge of uncertainty as he pondered the implications of this seemingly innocent choice. "Should I take one?" he mused quietly to himself, his fingers hesitating above the colorful confections. His instincts told him that this was no ordinary candy, that there might be more to it than met the eye.

Yet, in the midst of his contemplation, a quiet reassurance tugged at his senses. The notion that Toriel might have been involved in placing these candies here, perhaps as a gesture of care or a way to guide him, added a layer of comfort to his decision-making process. "Well, I'm gonna take one," he decided with a grin, his fingers curling around a single candy.

Holding the sugar in his palm before slipping it into his pocket, he cast one final glance at the bowl before exiting the room.

Upon exiting the room, he couldn't help but notice the reappearance of the familiar yellow star-like object. "That thing again," Ben muttered to himself, a mixture of curiosity and intrigue dancing in his eyes.

As he approached the yellow star-like object and touched it once more, the familiar rectangular screen materialized before him again. "Uhhh, it's the same screen again," Ben mumbled to himself, his brows furrowing in contemplation. "I need to find out what this thing is, but I think it's okay if I press Save... I think." With a sense of cautious determination, he directed his finger to the SAVE button and clicked it.

After that, Ben resumed his path toward the next room. Just as he was on the cusp of exiting, a figure materialized before him. It was a whimsical creature, a Whimsun, with a timid and delicate appearance. Its large eyes blinked at Ben as it hovered in the air, seemingly uncertain of how to react to his presence. Its fragile wings fluttered gently, giving it an almost ethereal quality. The encounter held an air of curiosity, as if the Whimsun were as intrigued by Ben as he was by it.

"The monsters kinda look like pesky dust," Ben mused, his memory flashing back to the fairy-like alien form he often took. With a quirked eyebrow, he continued, "You okay, little man?" The Whimsun's delicate features seemed to tremble at his words, its expression a mix of apprehension and curiosity.

"I-ı'm okay," stammered the Whimsun, its fragile voice carrying a hint of nervousness. "U-uhh, a-are you h-human?" it inquired, its large eyes fixated on Ben. "I'm human, but what will you do with that information? Are you going to fight me?" Ben quirked an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued by the creature's response.

"O-oh, so you're a h-human," the Whimsun responded, its stuttered words tinged with both curiosity and relief. "N-no, I don't f-fight with y-you. I just w-wanna see, now that you're h-human," it explained, its large eyes blinking inquisitively.

"Your name, little guy?" Ben asked, his interest genuine.

"W-what?" the Whimsun queried, clearly caught off guard by the question.

"Your name, I asked your name," Ben reiterated, a patient smile on his face.

"O-oh, m-my name is... Whimmy," the Whimsun finally managed to say.

''Whimmy, huh? You've got a cool name, dude,'' Ben grinned, his tone friendly.

''T-thanks,'' Whimmy replied, a bashful smile touching its features.

''Alright, it was nice to meet you, Whimmy, but I should get going,'' Ben stated, his words carrying a sense of farewell.

''W-wait, I d-didn't get your n-name,'' Whimmy stuttered.

''Oh, right, my bad hehe. My name is Ben Tennyson,'' Ben said, giving a playful wink.

''T-that's a n-nice name, you,'' Whimmy replied, a blush tinting its cheeks as it seemed a bit flustered by the wink.

''Thanks, Whimmy, but I should get going. So, bye-bye!'' Ben waved as he left the room and moved into the next one.

''O-okay, u-uhh, see you,'' Whimmy replied with a small wave of its own.

As Ben entered the next room, it appeared quite ordinary at first glance. However, his keen eyes soon caught the unusual setup. A series of spears obstructed the path to the next room. Positioned just behind the spears was a hefty stone, and adjacent to it lay a conspicuous pressure plate. The scene presented a puzzle to be solved before he could proceed further.

"Got it," Benjamin mused to himself as he assessed the situation. Analyzing the pressure plate, stone, and his experiences with the earlier puzzles, he swiftly devised a plan. "Seems like the logical solution here is to push the stone onto the pressure plate, just like the patterns in the previous puzzles." With a confident nod, he went ahead and executed his plan, pushing the stone onto the plate with a soft thud.

Benjamin's eyes widened in disbelief, his surprise evident. "What in the world? Did a fucking stone just... talk?" he blurted out in incredulity.

""Oh, well, ain't that something'?" The stone retorted with a touch of sass.

"Oh my celestialsapien, a talking stone," Ben thought, his astonishment evident in his exclamation.

"No worries, my friend. I'm just a bit caught off guard. I didn't mean to ruffle your... rocky disposition," Ben replied, a mix of amusement and apology in his tone

"Hmph, your apology is accepted," the Stone retorted.

"Alright, then. Would you mind staying on the pressure plate until I make my way through the spears?" Ben asked, hoping for a cooperative response from this unusual conversationalist.

''Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm," the Stone's contemplative sound seemed to resonate with the tension building in Ben's twitching eyes.

"Sure, PARTNER," the Stone finally agreed, moving deliberately toward the pressure plate. As it settled onto the plate,"Altright, you can go now," the Stone's stony voice echoed in the chamber.

As he stepped into the next again, spears barred his path, and this time, three stones and three pressure plates awaited his attention.
"Wow, what originality," Benjamin quipped with a wry grin, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Seems like the trap designer down here wasn't in the mood for variety."

"Ugh, you have no idea how badly I wish this omnitrix would start working," Ben muttered under his breath. The thought of transforming into Big Chill or Ghostfreak and just phasing through these obstacles was incredibly tempting.

His gaze shifted to the omnitrix, which stubbornly did not work on his wrist. He shook his head with a resigned sigh. "I guess it's no use hoping. The Omnitrix is still dead in the water."

With a determined huff, Benjamin approached the three stones and began shoving them toward their respective pressure plates.

Once all three stones were in position, he let out a satisfied breath, wiping his hands on his pants.

"'All right,' Ben's voice was tinged with determination as he confidently strode past the spears, stepping into the new room.

The space felt familiar yet distinct, similar to the previous rooms in its design but slightly narrower. Ben's eyes flickered across the room, scanning over the details— a mouse hole on the table, a low-standing piece of furniture, and a solitary piece of cheese placed upon it. Despite these peculiarities, it was the persistent presence of the yellow starry object that drew his focus once again.

''That object again,'' Ben muttered under his breath, his intrigue piqued by the repeated appearance of the enigmatic item amidst this underground realm's peculiarities.

Once more, Ben's curiosity got the better of him, and he reached out to touch the object. As his fingertips made contact, the familiar rectangular screen materialized before him, its buttons once again awaiting his a mix of fascination and perplexity, Ben's finger landed on the "SAVE" button. The screen responded with a soft chime, leaving him standing there with more questions than answers.

"I still don't understand this object," Ben mumbled to himself, his brow furrowing in contemplation. "Why does touching it conjure up this screen with SAVE and RESET buttons, like something out of a video game?"

Exhaling a sigh of mixed resignation and curiosity, he muttered, "Anyway, I'm sure I'll eventually figure out what this object is." With that thought in mind, he moved on to the next room, leaving behind the enigmatic screen and its mysterious purpose.

As he entered the next room, a sense of normalcy washed over him. Unlike the previous rooms with their traps and puzzles, this one seemed devoid of immediate challenges. However, his attention was quickly drawn to a peculiar sight—a ghostly figure peacefully slumbering atop a mound of leaves.

"Uhhh, is that a ghost..?" Ben's words carried a mix of surprise and curiosity as he observed the snoozing apparition before him.

Upon the sight of the sleeping ghostly figure, a cascade of thoughts rushed through Ben's mind. "Damn, a ghost monster... wait, a ghost monster?! I hope ghosts here aren't like Ectonurites," he muttered, a shiver running down his spine as he recalled the eerie alien ghost race from his own universe.

As Ben stood at the threshold of the room, a flurry of thoughts raced through his mind like a whirlwind. He contemplated the best approach to navigate his way into the next room without disturbing the slumbering ghost. While politeness dictated that he could wake the ghost and inquire about passage, a nagging concern lingered in his thoughts. What if this ghost was akin to the dangerous Ectonurites from his universe? Such an encounter would pose significant challenges, particularly with his Omnitrix currently out of commission. The potential for an unforeseen encounter weighed heavily on his mind, guiding his decision-making process.

Ben's thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a strange sound that echoed through the room. "ZZZZZZZZZZZZ (has he left yet?) ZZZZZZZZZZ" The ghost's strange murmurs brought his attention to the foreground, causing his eye to twitch

"Uhhh, dude, I don't want to be rude, but can you stop pretending to sleep?" Ben's words carried a mixture of curiosity and mild exasperation, his gaze fixed on the peculiar ghost before him.

After Benjamin's words hung in the air, the ghost slowly rose from its resting place among the leaves, its ethereal form taking shape before him. With an almost sheepish expression, the ghost addressed him, its voice a mixture of surprise and slight embarrassment. "O-oh, you knew I was awake," the ghost admitted, its attempt at feigned slumber clearly thwarted by Ben's keen perception.

"Yeah, I knew. So, can I head to the next room if that's alright?" Ben's query was straightforward, his desire to move forward apparent.

"N-not so fast," Napstablook's voice wavered slightly, hesitating as if mustering the courage to ask. "B-before you go, can I show you something?" The ghost's request hung in the air, carrying an undertone of vulnerability.

"Sure, dude. Oh, and by the way, what's your name?" Ben's curiosity prompted him to inquire.

"My name is Napstablook," the ghost revealed, the name adding a touch of identity to the once enigmatic apparition.

"Cool name. My name is Ben Tennyson, nice to meet you," Ben responded with a friendly grin, acknowledging the introduction.

"U-uh, nice to meet you," Napstablook responded softly, his voice carrying a touch of shyness. "The thing I wanted to show you is my abilities. Can I show them to you?" His request held a mix of uncertainty and hope, as if he was eager to share something unique with his unexpected visitor.

"Hmm, why not?" Ben replied casually, his curiosity piqued by Napstablook's reaction.

"R-Really?!" Napstablook's voice carried a hint of disbelief and a touch of happiness, as if he hadn't expected such a positive response.

"Well, yeah, I want to see your abilities," Ben said with a touch of confusion. As he observed Napstablook's emotional response, he couldn't help but wonder about the reasons behind the ghost's surprised and happy demeanor.

"Alright, I will show you," Napstablook agreed, his voice a mixture of excitement and nervousness. As he began to demonstrate his abilities, something peculiar happened – tears started flowing from his eyes at an almost unnatural speed. What was even more surprising was that these tears defied gravity, moving upwards toward his head instead of flowing downward.

As the tears gathered at his head, they seemed to coalesce into a shape resembling a magician's hat. The sight was truly extraordinary, leaving Ben intrigued by the unique and unexpected display of Napstablook's abilities.

And with a final touch, the tears converged to form a tall hat that bore a striking resemblance to a magician's iconic headgear.

"So, how was it? Was it good?" Napstablook inquired, his voice a mix of hope and apprehension. His face displayed a paradox of excitement, extreme happiness, and tension, all intertwining into a complex expression.
"Hmmmm," Ben pondered, his response laden with contemplation.

The hopeful smile on Napstablook's face wavered, replaced by a crestfallen look that hinted at impending tears.''İt was bad right 𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗹 i'm really can't really do goo-

Napstablook's self-deprecating words were cut short as Ben intervened, his tone decisive and firm, "Hold on, dude, I didn't say it was bad or worse or anything like that! I was actually wondering what else you can do with those abilities. Don't be so hard on yourself, alright? No need to put yourself down." Ben's encouraging words resonated with a sense of understanding and support.

''H-huh it was good..?''Napstablook said with a confusion.
"Napstablook, it was actually good," Ben assured him with a reassuring smile. "And seriously, no more putting yourself down, alright? I'm sure other monsters will appreciate it too."

"O-okay, Ben. Oh, I was blocking your way, wasn't I? You can go now," Napstablook offered as he began to float towards the ceiling.

"I won't forget this encounter. So, goodbye," Napstablook said before fading away into the surroundings.

"Huh, he's a pretty cool guy. And thanks to Celestialsapien, he wasn't like an Ectonurite. Anyway, I should keep moving," Ben contemplated, feeling a sense of camaraderie and a hint of relief.

Continuing on, Ben entered the next room. The chamber was more spacious compared to the previous one, but its emptiness left little to capture his attention. With his hands nonchalantly tucked into his pants pockets, he strode forward.

Amidst his casual amble, a figure materialized before him—the creature known as Loox. Its appearance consisted of a compact, spherical head crowned with a pair of horns—one on each side—while a massive eye dominated its visage.

"Uhhh, who are you?" Ben's voice carried a distinct note of confusion as he addressed the enigmatic creature before him.

"It doesn't matter who I am. Are you a human?" The monster's inquiry held an air of curiosity, prompting Ben to respond with a scrutinizing gaze.

"I'm a human. What's it to you?" Ben's reply was accompanied by a cautious narrowing of his eyes, his wariness evident in his demeanor.

"So you're a human..." The monster's statement hung in the air, causing a momentary tension to settle between them. Benjamin braced himself for a potential encounter, his instincts on high alert. However, what followed took him completely off guard.

"Then can you sign my arm or my back! I've always wanted to meet a person and have them sign me. I can show my friends and show off," the monster's words were filled with genuine excitement and happiness, turning the situation on its head.

Benjamin blinked, utterly surprised by the unexpected request. He hesitated for a moment, processing the unusual turn of events. "Uhhh, sure, dude. I can sign, but I don't have any penc—" Ben's sentence was cut short as the monster promptly handed him a pencil, leaving him momentarily speechless. "Alright... where do you want me to sign?" Ben's curiosity now mingled with amusement as he looked at the monster, ready to fulfill this peculiar request.

"You can put your signature on my arm," the monster eagerly suggested, extending its arm for Ben to sign.

"Alright," Ben agreed, taking the pencil and swiftly signing the monster's arm. His years of autographing due to his hero life came in handy, making the task seem almost routine.

The monster examined its arm where Ben had just signed with a mix of joy and satisfaction. "Thank you so much, human! With this signature, I can show off to my friends!"

"Hehe, don't exaggerate too much, okay?" Ben chuckled, amused by the monster's enthusiasm. "Besides, what's your name, little guy?"

"Don't worry! My name is HornBlade," HornBlade replied. "What's your name?"

"My name is Ben Tennyson," Ben introduced himself, feeling a sense of camaraderie with the monster despite its unconventional appearance.

"You've got a cool name too, Ben," HornBlade exclaimed.

"Thanks. Your name is pretty cool too," Ben replied with a smile. "Well, I should be heading off, and I'm sure you're eager to show your friends, right?"

"You're absolutely right! I should get going. Goodbye, Ben," HornBlade said, scampering in the direction Benjamin had come from.

"Kids," Ben chuckled to himself, shaking his head with a smile. "Well, time to keep moving," he said to himself as he resumed his journey.

"Finally! I'm practically ready to drop from exhaustion, and I'm starving on top of that," Ben exclaimed with a mix of relief and hunger.

Upon stepping into the next room, an intriguing sight greeted him. Vines were winding their way across the floor, creating a unique pattern. As he proceeded further, he reached a point where the path branched into two directions: one leading to the right and the other ascending upwards.

"Decisions, decisions. Alright, I'll go with the right path first," Ben mused aloud. He set his course toward the room on the right, anticipation guiding his steps. Upon entering, he found himself confronted with an unexpected sight – an empty room, save for a solitary knife resting on the floor. He picked up the knife, examining it with a hint of curiosity.

"A toy knife, huh? Kinda odd to find it here. Well, whatever. Time to keep moving," Ben remarked, his voice tinged with a sense of indifference. He took a few steps before casually discarding the toy knife onto the ground, its significance seemingly fleeting.

After navigating through the room and opting for the path leading upwards, Ben found himself stepping through a doorway. Just as he was about to press forward, a voice that he recognized well pierced the stillness around him.

"Oh dear, that took longer than I had expected. Did I make a mistake? I shouldn't have left him alone like this, no matter what his skills are in puzzles," Toriel's voice reverberated, casting a sense of concern in her words. As if materializing from the shadows, Toriel emerged beside a withered tree.

The sound of Toriel's voice spurred Ben into motion. His steps carried him toward her, bridging the distance that separated them. Toriel's brow was creased with worry, a testament to her concern for his well-being, yet that worry began to ease as her gaze fell upon Ben.

"Thank goodness you're alright, young one," Toriel sighed with a mixture of relief and affection as she regarded him. Her voice held a warmth that resonated deeply with Benjamin.

"Of course, your concern was unnecessary, Toriel," Ben chimed in, his confident smile reflecting his reassured state.

"Maybe you're right," Toriel responded, a hint of a smile tugging at her lips. "Well then, let's head home. I've prepared both cinnamon and pie for you."

"Wait, really? But you didn't have to go through all that trouble," Ben's gratitude shone through his words.

"Well, I wasn't sure which one you'd prefer, so I decided to prepare both," Toriel explained with a gentle chuckle.

"Huff... well, thank you, Toriel," Ben's appreciation was evident in his tone.

"Think nothing of it, young one. Now, let's make our way back home. I'm quite certain you must be tired and hungry," Toriel noted.

"Oh, you're absolutely right. Let's get going," Ben agreed with a sincere smile. The prospect of food and rest was a welcome one after his journey through the enigmatic ruins.

As they approached, Toriel led the way into the house, and Benjamin followed closely behind. However, just before he could step inside, his attention was once again drawn to the familiar yellow star-like object.

"That object again," Ben muttered, a hint of amusement in his tone. He couldn't help but feel a strange sense of familiarity with the mysterious yellow-star. With a slight shrug, he reached out and touched the object once more, causing the rectangular screen to materialize once again.

"You know, I'm not even surprised anymore," he remarked, a wry smile playing on his lips. He tapped the SAVE button on the screen and nodded to himself.

"Alright," Ben mused, a mixture of curiosity and acceptance in his voice, before finally stepping across the threshold and entering Toriel's house.

"Alright, young one, welcome to my home. What do you think of it?" Toriel inquired, a warm smile adorning her face.

Ben's gaze wandered around the interior of the house, taking in the cozy atmosphere. "Your house looks really cool, Toriel," he remarked, an appreciative nod accompanying his words.

"Thank you, Ben," Toriel replied graciously. "Now, if I recall correctly, you must be tired. Let's head to your room so you can rest."

"Sounds good to me," Ben agreed, a sense of gratitude evident in his tone.

As they walked a short distance, Toriel guided him to a door with a gentle gesture. "Here is your room. I hope you find it comfortable," she said with a touch of warmth in her voice.

"Thank you once again, Toriel," Ben expressed his gratitude, a sincere smile gracing his face.

With a nod, Toriel offered a reassuring smile. "Take your time to rest. I'll be in the living room if you need anything."

Ben watched her depart and then turned his attention to the door. "Alright, time to head inside the room," he mused to himself.

Inside the room, Ben surveyed his surroundings. The sight of a typical bedroom greeted him – a closet filled with an assortment of clothes and a single bed. A sense of relief washed over him as he realized he could finally rest.

"Well, time to take a breather. I'm exhausted," Ben thought to himself. He removed his jacket, placing it neatly within the closet, and then proceeded to the inviting bed. With a contented sigh, he settled onto the bed, ready to embrace a much-needed respite.

As Benjamin reclined on the bed, a swirl of thoughts circled through his mind. "Time to reflect on what's been going on. One moment, I'm just lying on the ground pondering my experiences, and the next, there's this weird sensation in the air and the Omnitrix starts going off like crazy. 'Abnormal energy detected. Spatial distortion imminent.' I've got a rough idea of what that might mean, but I need more clarity. But the biggest headache isn't even deciphering that – it's the fact that the Omnitrix is still as uncooperative as ever."

Examining the Omnitrix on his arm, he uttered, "Omnitrix code 4444, status assessment." The Omnitrix's artificial intelligence responded promptly, "The situation is under evaluation. The Omnitrix encountered an error due to abnormal energy and initiated a restart." Ben's brow furrowed slightly as he absorbed the information.

"Okay, what's the progress percentage?" Ben inquired further.

"Approximately 89% completed," came the Omnitrix's reply.

"Great, it should be done by the time I wake up," Ben said with a hint of relief in his tone.

"Time to get some rest," Ben murmured to himself, finally succumbing to the weariness that had accumulated throughout his adventure.
