(About half an hour later)

[Flip's Food and Fuel - Royal Woods]

About half an hour passed since Lincoln escaped from the Loud House to avoid the wrath of his sisters, who are upset that they are still grounded for a month while Lincoln is grounded only for a few days because of the events at the grocery store.

Lincoln used the emergency slide Lisa had set up for him to escape the house as he figured going out the front door would only encourage his sisters to act on their Petty revenge plan. Now Lincoln was currently at Flip's Food and Fuel with his grandfather, Leonard Loud.

."Ahhh... you can't go wrong with black cherry."said Lincoln, who had just finished a Flippy to help himself calm down.

"I'm glad you liked it. Now, can you please tell me what the heck is going on?"inquired Leonard, wanting to know what was going on with his grandson and his granddaughters.

"Well yesterday the girls and I got in trouble at the grocery store for causing a big commotion."answered Lincoln.

"What kind of trouble?"inquired Leonard.

"Well I wanted to go to the store in order to save up some money for some new cereal called zombie brand. My sisters wanted to go too and they said they would help me, but as soon as we got to the store they ran off and did their own thing."said Lincoln, who in hindsight should have expected it.

"That doesn't sound so bad, but I have a feeling it gets worse."said Leonard, who had a feeling that this was only the beginning of what surely must have been a chaotic event.

"Your right. As I was going through the store, Lynn was writing a shopping cart like a race car. We almost got caught by the store manager, who I will tell you now is quite prejudice against people who are not adults as he immediately called us hooligans and told us not to start trouble. Anyway, after Lynn, Luan was juggling eggs in the egg session and ended up dropping some. From there I found Lisa in the frozen peas trying to study up on how to freeze yourself or something. Then Leni try to liberate some Lobsters by tying them up with balloons and having them float to the ocean..."said Lincoln, who stopped his explanation as soon as he noticed the look on his grandfather's face.

"I know Leni it's not the sharpest tool on the ship, but that was a dumb idea, even for her."said Leonard, who was wondering what Leni was thinking, as that idea would never have worked in a million years.

"Yeah... that we can agree on. Anyway, Luna hijacked the announcement system and started rocking out. I had to literally drag her away before the store manager kicked us out. From there I managed to get the village pack of toilet paper. When I calculated how much money was left I saw it was enough for my cereal. So I went to the cereal while and grabbed my zombie brand, when this spoiled brat took it out of my hands and ended up running away. Now I will be the first to admit that I didn't exactly behave then and there as I chased after him all throughout the store, resulting in him knocking over the watermelon display, flooding a floor with coffee beans, and covering the cake aisle with butter."said Lincoln, who will admit that he probably shouldn't have chased that kid around, but he just really wanted that cereal.

"Well it's not like you forced that kid to do those things. Then, what happened next?"inquired Leonard, who wanted Lincoln to continue.

"Well it look like he was going to get away with the zombie brand. That's when I noticed the lobsters that Lenny had 'liberated' and got an idea. I used a smoking pipe and some frozen peas to pop the balloons and the lobsters ended up falling on the jerk, resulting in the store manager finding him and kicking the jerk and his mom out. I then we acquired my cereal, but I decided it was time for us to leave during the time I was chasing that kid, Lola and Lana we're having a squirt fight, Lucy took a bunch of cakes to mold a terrifying creation, and Leni tried to liberate the roasted chickens..."said Lincoln, causing both grandson and grandfather to wonder what was up with their granddaughter/older sister.

"Anyway, I pushed them all to the checkout. That's when Lori's boyfriend called out to her. She was complimenting him but I wanted all of us out of the store as fast as possible before anything else could go wrong. That's when they discovered my deal with Mom and they demanded things like Lola demanding little princess pies, Lucy wanting blood pudding, Lisa wanting something with sodium bicarbonate, and Lana wanting dog biscuits."said Lincoln, causing the grandfather to wonder why one of his granddaughters eats dog biscuits.

"She says it's good for her coats and nails."said Lincoln, causing both members of the loud family to brush it off as they couldn't judge as they were better with their respective weird habits.

"Anyway, when I pointed out to my sisters that there was no money left for treats, Luna took my cereal out of my hands and said that she was going to go put it back. When I tried to get my cereal back, which I think I deserved after all the hard work I put in, the rest of my sisters begin arguing on who would get the remaining four dollars, a fight cloud commenced. The check out later he immediately alerted the manager and we all got kicked out. When I tried to explain to Mom what happened she didn't want to hear any of it, which I understand as she was having a manicure and I would be upset too if someone interrupted something that I didn't get to enjoy for years."said Lincoln, before taking a deep breath as that was a long explanation.

"She still should have given you the benefit of the doubt and listen to you."said Leonard, shaking his head with disappointment.

"While you did misbehave at the grocery store Lincoln it's nowhere near compared to what your sisters did. What honor for the thinking doing all those things in a public area? Lynn could have hit someone with a reckless shopping cart driving, Luan hadn't even paid for those eggs she had juggled, Lisa shouldn't have tried to freeze herself, Leni's plan was stupid, even for her, Luna shouldn't have hijacked the announcement system, Lola and Lana shouldn't have been playing with water in a store, Lucy shouldn't have been messing with cakes that haven't been paid for, and Lori should have been supervising them as the oldest. I understand free range parenting like the next guy, but all of this nonsense is just...just... unbelievable."said Leonard, who felt like his granddaughters went too far in their shenanigans.

"I admit that I didn't exactly behave either what was chasing that jerk around the store and using peas to get my cereal back. But I wasn't thinking in that moment. All I wanted to do was shop and get my zombie brand, and not let my sister tag along with the next thing I do as they will do their own thing and it will result in us getting banned from the grocery store for a while."said Lincoln, before a scowl appeared on his face.

"Now they're blaming me for getting grounded and not getting their treats. The reason I asked to meet up with you is that I need to be somewhere safe until Mom and Dad get home as I overheard my sisters planning some kind of revenge against me."said Lincoln, shocking his grandfather.

"Well if this isn't a case of the pot calling the kettle black, then I don't know what is."said Leonard with a glare.

"Why can you call your parents as soon as you heard their little scheme?"questions Leonard, wondering why his grandson came to him first and not his parents.

"Because I know my sisters and I know my parents. As soon as I called them they would have come home and my sisters would have lied through their teeth. I have no proof of what they did as I just happened to hear their scheme so I didn't have time to record it or anything like that. Without proof, my sisters would have claimed but I was just trying to frame them or something and that would have resulted in me getting in more trouble. I just barely got my grounding reduced, and I want to be on my best behavior for a while so I have a chance to get my zombie brand. Man, it's like anytime I want to do something, my sisters always there to ruin it."said Lincoln, who fully believed he would have gone in his zombie brand if his sister had just stayed home.

"What do you mean?"inquired Leonard, wondering what Lincoln meant by that.

"Gramps, I love my sisters and all, but sometimes they annoy the heck out of me. Not too long ago they tried to convince me to try to kiss a girl who had been bullying me, saying that she actually had a crush on me, but that resulted in me getting a black eye. Then if that wasn't bad enough, it's like they're always in my business. Take the thing at the grocery store for example, all I wanted to do was do the shopping, save wherever I could, and get a box of zombie themed cereal. But because my sisters convinced me to let them come along with them saying they would help me out, the Loud family is now banned from the grocery store, and I didn't even get my stupid cereal. Ahhh, it's times like this I wish I could go somewhere far away and do my own thing for once without my sisters interference."said Lincoln, who felt like he could succeed for once if his sisters weren't there the meddle.

"Hmm..."said Leonard, as an idea appeared in his head."So you want to go somewhere far away and do your own thing, huh?"

"...Yeah...I mean, I really feel like I could succeed in one of my plans if my sisters weren't there to meddle in my affairs."said Lincoln, wondering what his grandfather was getting at.

"Lincoln, allow me to introduce you to an old friend of mine."said Leonard, before he pulled out the old red and white bowl he had been looking at earlier.

"What's that?"questions Lincoln, but his grandfather didn't say nothing as he tossed the ball into the air.

This resulted in the ball opening up and releasing a white light that crashed onto the ground, and within seconds said like began to take shape. Out of the white light came up is a piscine, draconic creature with a long serpentine body covered in slightly overlapping scales. It is mostly blue with a yellow underbelly, and it has a row of yellow spots down each side. Its mouth is very large and gaping, bearing four pointed teeth and yellow lips. It has one pair of barbel and a small white fin on each side of its face. The barbels are white on a female and blue on a male. It has small, red eyes, a three-pointed, dark blue crest on its head, and four white, spiky dorsal fins. The creature's tail fin is similar in structure to the crest on its head, except with a thin, white fin spread between the points.

"Woah!"said Lincoln as soon as he saw the gigantic serpentine like creature in front of him.

"Lincoln, say hello to my partner Pokemon, Gyarados. He is my oldest friend in the world"said Leonard with a smile.

"Woah! What is that thing? And how did it fit in that tiny little ball?"questions Lincoln, wanting to know how such a gigantic creature could fit in such a little ball.

"Well was planning on showing you and the girls this over summer break. However, with the current circumstances, I think that you'll appreciate this opportunity a lot more if you have it to yourself. I can always introduce the others to this at a later time." said Leonard with a grin."To answer is how he fit into the little ball, well let's just say it's technology the shrinks Gyarados into ball form."

"What exactly is he, anyway?"asked Lincoln as he gave the massive beast a curious glance.

"He's a Pocket Monster or 'Pokémon' for short." answered Leonard while petting the massive beast.

"Pokémon, huh? Can't say that I've heard of something like that before."admitted Lincoln, and that's the first time he has ever heard that word.

"I'd honestly be surprised if you did since knowledge about Pokémon isn't exactly commonplace." answered the elderly Loud, nodding. "In any case, try to save your questions about Pokémon for now."

"But there's just so much I want to ask, Gramps! I've never seen anything like this before!"said Lincoln, as he wanted to know everything about Pokemon that his grandfather knew.

"I know, but the reason I'm telling you to hold off is that we're going to speak to someone who can probably provide better answers to any questions you may have - an old friend of mine by the name of Samuel Oak. He's a professor living in the Kanto region near Japan who specializes in studying Pokémon." said Leonard before grinning. "Some even consider him to be the authority on Pokémon research. I met him during my troubles as a fisherman."

"Okay, I guess that makes sense. But...uh, we're not going to just talk to him about Pokémon, are we?" asked Lincoln, eyebrow raised. "There's gotta be more to this than just calling him to talk, right?"

"Knew you'd catch on quickly, kiddo." replied Leonard with his grin widening. "You're right - we're going to do more than just talk. You and I? We're going to see if he can help us with making you an official Pokémon Trainer, just like your Gramps."

"Pokémon Trainer...huh. Don't know why, but I kinda like how that sounds."said Lincoln to himself, before realizing something. "Wait...you said that he lived in Japan, right? How are we even supposed to talk to him if he's that far away?"

As if to answer his question, Leonard heads to his fishing truck where he rummages through it until he takes out a terminal-like machine that looked like some kind of weird hybrid of a computer and a telephone. The machine looked to be around the size of an early-era computer monitor and going by the grunts coming from his grandfather as he brought it out of the closet, it seemed to weigh about as much as one, too.

On top of that, the faint coating of dust that was caked on its surface was a clear indicator that it hadn't been used in several months.

"We'll be using this to talk to him." grunted Leonard, before he hefted the machine over to a nearby table and placed it down. "I'm pretty sure it still works since I've used it over the past couple of years to talk to him. He and I like to keep tabs on each other, you see."

"What exactly is this, Gramps?" asked Lincoln, giving the machine a strange look.

"It looks like the end result of a phone and a computer getting fused together."said Lincoln, causing his grandfather to smile before responding.

"This is a VideoPhone, Lincoln. It's one of the earlier, portable models from the Kanto region. I'd say that this one, in particular, is roughly around...fourty to fifty years old?"

"It's that old? And this Kanto place already had something this advanced back then?"said Lincoln with an astonished look.

"Yep. It was a gift from Sammy that he sent me back in the day. It's a dinosaur compared to what most Trainers are probably using nowadays, but it should still be usable. Just need to plug this in and..." Just need to attach a few wires here, plug this here and..." muttered Leonard, before flipping the switch on the side of the VideoPhone, causing the screen to fizzle for a moment before turning on. "Okay, good. It still works."

"I'm surprised that it does, considering how old you said it was." said Lincoln, looking over the machine with interest."So what now?"

"Now we call up Sammy at his lab and talk to him. Hopefully, he'll have the same number that he did years ago when I first got this thing." replied his grandfather, bofore he dialed in several numbers using the keys on the machine before pressing a green-colored button with an image of a receiver on it, causing the VideoPhone to let out beeping noises, followed by a dial tone.

"And now we wait and see if he picks up."said Leonard, hoping that his old friend would answer.

The dial tone continues as the VideoPhone's screen crackles with static, but eventually, the call goes through successfully, displaying a man with short gray-colored hair that was wearing a white lab coat on it.

...And from the looks of things, he was facing the wrong direction, since his chair was facing the direction of the screen.

"Hello? Hello? Is this thing on?" asked the man, clearly confused.

"Sammy? You're facing the wrong way. Again." chuckled Leonard, causing the man on the screen to groan before turning his chair around to face the correct screen.

"I swear, this always ends up happening somehow when I receive VideoPhone calls here at the lab..." grumbled the man before finally taking notice of who was calling him. Smiling, he adds "Leonard! It's been a long time since I've heard from you, old friend. How's retirement settling in with you so far?"

"You know I ain't retired yet as being a fisherman is in my blood."said Leonard, glad to see his old friend alive and well.

"Good to hear. So what's this call about? Are you thinking about getting back into Pokémon training again?"inquired the man known as Sammy

"Nah, I'm too old to be getting back into that, Sammy. My traveling days are long behind me," replied Leonard while shaking his head.

"Well that's unfortunate considering how much of a beast you were back in your hay day. You and that Gyarados were practically undefeated."said Sammy will waving at Gyarados, who just shook his head with a smile.

"who is this?"inquired Professor Oak

Leonard drapes his arm around his grandson's shoulder before he replies "This is my grandson Lincoln." before turning to address his grandson. "And Lincoln, this is Professor Oak. As I said before, he's an old friend of mine."

"A pleasure to meet you, young man." said Oak, smiling. "I must say that your grandson looks a lot like you, Leonard. Very close resemblance."

"Yep, he's the spitting image of his Gramps, alright," replied Leonard, looking down at Lincoln with a proud smile. "And speaking of my grandson, he's the reason I'm calling you today."

"Really? Do tell."inquired the professor.

"Well, first off...are you still working on that project of yours? That Pokédex thing you mentioned during our last call?"inquired Leonard, wondering if his friend was still working on that device of his.

"Yes, though the project is still in its beta stage at the moment. Thankfully, progress has been swift over the past month or two thanks to an old book that a colleague of mine in Sinnoh managed to find - one that could even be considered a precursor to the Pokédex itself. So with that said, the Kanto Pokédex should be ready for use by the time the next group of young aspiring trainers come around."replied the professor, causing Lincoln to raise his hand as he had a question.

"Um...excuse me, Professor Oak..." spoke Lincoln, while raising one of his hands. "What's a Pokédex and why are you working on it?"

An excellent question, Lincoln...er, you don't mind if I use your first name, do you? Or would you prefer 'Mr. Loud' instead?"

"Either one's fine, Professor."

"Very well then." said Oak, nodding. "The Kanto Pokédex project is meant to be a database containing detailed information on every Pokémon species that live in the Kanto region. There are believed to be 149 known Pokémon species in Kanto so far, though I'm certain that there have been sightings of Pokémon that are usually native to other regions as of late."

"Okay...so what exactly IS a Pokémon? Gramps showed me his Gyarados, but he never really answered what are Pokémon exactly. And I've only just learned about them today from him." asked Lincoln, causing Professor Oak to look at him for a moment, before turning to face Leonard.

"...You didn't tell him about your time as a Trainer?" asked the gray-haired professor.only for Leonard to shrug with a sheepish grin on his face.

"You know that my main occupation is fishermen in the Bering Sea, so it's been awhile since I've seen my grandkids."said Leonard in his defense

"...I see. Well, I suppose that since you seem to be mainly unaware of the existence of Pokémon, I believe that it falls upon me to properly introduce you to them."said Professor Oak, before he began clearing his throat

After clearing his throat, Oak starts to speak once more, this time as if reciting something that he had probably said hundreds, if not thousands of times before.

"Hello, there! Glad to meet you! Welcome to the world of Pokémon! My name is Professor Oak. People affectionately refer to me as the 'Pokémon Professor'."said the professor as he reintroduced himself.

"Why is he re-introducing himself?" whispered Lincoln to his grandfather, who simply shrugged in response as Professor Oak took a red and white-colored ball that looked like the one Gramps threw earlier, but much newer-looking, from one of his lab coat's many pockets and pressed a small button on it, causing the ball to instantly increase to the size of a softball.

"This world..." continued Professor Oak, before he tossed the ball into the air, causing it to open up and release a dazzling flash of white light that quickly starts to take a solid form at his side. "...is inhabited far and wide by creatures called Pokémon."

As the light finally solidifies, a small, quadrupedal, mammalian Pokémon. It is pinkish purple with darker patches. It has large, spiny ears with teal insides, oversized front teeth, and red eyes. Its back is covered with three lines of large spines that can release potent poisons if threatened. The center line of spines is taller than the other two.

"So cool..." gasped Lincoln, awestruck. "What is it?"

"It's a Nidoran, Lincoln. A male one, to be exact. Been a while since I've seen one of those." remarked Leonard with a smile.

As he continues on with his speech, Oak kneels down and pets the creature's head, causing it to let out a coo of delight.

"For some people, Pokémon are pets or companions. Others train them for battling or Contests. As for myself...well, I study Pokémon as a profession." spoke the old professor before recalling the Nidoran back into his ball.

"I apologize for the rather scripted introduction, but it's required of me to recite this to everyone who wishes to approach me about becoming an official Trainer."admitted the professor.

"It's fine, Professor. I get that sometimes, stuff like that is part of the job. So...what exactly does being a Trainer entail? Gramps mentioned that I would appreciate the opportunity to become one myself earlier."said Lincoln with interest.

"A fine question. A Pokémon Trainer is exactly that - a person who catches Pokémon found in the wild and trains them. And yes, catching wild Pokémon is legal, as long as you have an official Trainer Card, which I suppose you can see as a license of sorts that legally allows Trainers to not only buy Poké Balls, but also catch and train Pokémon."said the professor before Lincoln spoke up.

"And what about that battling thing you mentioned earlier? People actually make their Pokémon battle each other?"asked Lincoln with skepticism.

"Yes, but to both Trainers and Pokémon, it's more akin to a competition of sorts. It's nothing like any of those barbaric bloodsports I've heard about where people force their animals to fight to the death. Every officially-recognized Pokémon Battle is held in a safe, controlled environment that brings no serious harm to the Pokémon involved."said the professor, making Lincoln feel at ease.

"Well that does make me feel a little bit better as it's probably a culture thing and I shouldn't judge something that I don't fully understand." said Lincoln."So what do I have to do to become a Pokemon trainer?"

"Ah...well, do you want the good news or the bad news first?"inquired the professor.

"Good news first, please."said Lincoln, as hearing the good news first was always the best

"Well, you seem to be the right age to qualify for a Trainer Card. The minimum age for qualification is eleven years old, so if you're that age or older, you've already met one condition."said Professor Oak, making Lincoln feel relieved that he was the right age.

"And what's the bad news?"asked Lincoln, mentally preparing himself for the bad news.

"...You'll have to go through a single year of schooling first before you can earn the chance to become an official Trainer." answered Oak, causing Lincoln and his grandfather to look at him, surprised.

"Aw man, I have to attend school to be able to catch and train Pokémon!?" asked Lincoln, clearly dismayed.

"Is that true, Samuel? I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that when I became a Trainer years ago." said Leonard, causing Professor Oak to nod.

"It is, unfortunately. There were a few...er, 'incidents' a few years ago regarding young Trainers getting hurt or worse because they didn't have the proper experience to take care of themselves or their Pokémon properly, so the Pokemon League passed a law that requires all novice Trainers to at least complete a year of school or pass a really hard test."said the professor, who thought that this was ridiculous as he believed first-hand knowledge was the best way to become a Pokemon trainer.

"Well, if that's what I have to do to become a Pokemon trainer than so be it. So, tell me about this Pokemon School?"inquired Lincoln, before the professor spoke up.

Now hold on a moment, my boy. There are a few more things to take into account first, namely which region you want to go to."said the professor, shocking Lincoln.

"There's more than one?" asked Lincoln, surprised. "How many are there, Professor?"

"Well, there are nine known major regions on the planet: Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, and Paldea. There are other regions as well but I'm not connected with the professors or the Pokemon League that operate those regions, so I can't tell you much about him."said the professor with a sad look on his face.

"It's okay, Professor Oak, these things can happen. Can you at least give me a brief summary of the regions you do know about? I'd like to hear more about them first before I make a decision, please." requested Lincoln, causing Professor Oak to nod.

"Of course. We'll start off with my home region of Kanto, one of the four regions located near the...well, Kantō region in Japan. Kanto is a highly advanced region in comparison to several of the others, bearing much more improved technology thanks to the efforts of the Sliph Company in Saffron City. Eight badges are needed to participate in the Indigo Conference, held at the Indigo Plateau. Be careful when traveling through Kanto, as I know good gang of criminals called team rocket has been causing trouble lately."

"Johto, located near the Kansai region in Japan, is more...antiquated compared to Kanto since they put more value on the region's traditions instead of technological advancement, but they have much more historical sites and even some rare Pokémon that can't be found in Kanto to make up for it, including rumored sightings of several Legendary Pokémon that had been part of the region's folk tales for generations. Like with Kanto, eight badges are needed to participate in the competition known as the Silver Conference. I must also inform you that there has been active sightings of Team Rocket as of late"

"Hoenn, found near the Kyushu region of Japan, mainly consists of vast spans of ocean, so you'll probably need a Water-Type Pokémon to get around. Aside from that, there's plenty to see and do in this one, especially since this region is where Pokémon Contests - a competition where Trainers use appeals and routines with their Pokémon instead of battling - and the Battle Frontier - a special location that fully focuses on Pokémon battling - originated. I've heard several reports of two opposing groups who are looking into the stories regarding the Hoenn region's Legendary Pokémon, though said reports haven't been fully verified yet. This region also requires eight badges to access the Ever Grande Conference."

"Sinnoh, which is located near Hokkaido, is a region that could be considered a mix of what the Kanto and Johto regions have to offer - advanced technology and traditional locations connected to the region's Legendary Pokémon. Like with the previous three regions, you need eight badges to participate in this region's conference - the Lily of the Valley Conference. There is also a group calling themselves Team Galactic in the region, though it's unclear what their goals for Sinnoh are."

"Unova, one of the two regions located near the United States, is found near the state of New York. There are lots to see in this one - the Relic Castle in the desert, Nimbasa City's amusement park, the Skyarrow Bridge, Chargestone Cave and so much more. Unlike the other regions, this one actually has ten gyms to choose from, though only eight of them are required to complete to participate in Unova's Vertress Conference. I've heard strange rumors about a particular group working towards the goal of convincing Trainers to release their Pokémon, so I would keep an eye out for them if I were you."

"Kalos, the first of the three European regions, is found near the northern half of France. This region has a lot to see, including the bustling metropolis of Lumiose City, the expansive beach between Cyllage City and Ambrette Town, the Poke Ball Factory north of Laverre City, and of course, the Tower of Mastery north of Shalour City. Interestingly enough, that same tower, according to Kalosian legend, is where the phenomenon known as 'Mega Evolution' was discovered. However, much like Unova, I've heard rumors of a strange group of people acting on their own personal agenda in Kalos, so if you choose it as your first region, do remember to be careful. As usual, eight badges will gain you access to the Lumiose Conference, held in Lumiose City."

"Alola, the second region located near the States, can be found near Hawaii. This region consists of four tropical islands and a sea base for the Aether Foundation, which is a group of Pokémon philanthropists that take care of abandoned and injured Pokémon. Unlike the other regions, Alola doesn't have gym battles. Instead, they have 'trials', which are specific challenges that Trainers must complete in order to earn Z-Crystals, which are used not only as marks of progress like badges, but they serve as conduits for Z-Moves, which are attacks that are enhanced greatly by these particular stones. The Alola region doesn't exactly have a League yet, though I believe a colleague of one of my family members living in the area is lobbying for the region to earn official recognition. My cousin Samson also happens to live in Alola, where he studies regional variants, Pokemon of the same species who changed over time due to the different climate they were in."

"Galar, the second European region, is next to the United Kingdom. There are three major parts of this region to visit - the Galar region itself, the Isle of Armor located east of the mainland, and the frigid Crown Tundra to the south. This region is famous mainly for three things - the Macro Cosmos corporation, in place of the League Committee, is in charge of running official events in Galar, Dynamaxing, which allows Trainers to use 'power spots' in the stadiums they use for gym battles to cause their Pokémon to grow to gargantuan sizes...and their Champion Leon, who had gone undefeated ever since he became the Champion at age ten. Unlike the other regions, there is no conference - instead, there is a tournament involving some of the best Galar has to offer, with the winner getting a shot at Leon's title."

"Finally, we have Paldea, an Island located off the coast of Spain. A large open region with the prominent Naranja Academy found in the capital city of Mesagoza. Recently, there had been a fascinating discovery in the region as of late called the 'Terastal phenomenon', which is a temporary transformation for Pokémon that gives them a shining gem-like appearance that changes their type. It's quite fascinating to think about, really - just imagine a Pikachu that could be a Flying-Type! Alongside that, I've heard rumors of larger-than-normal Pokémon wandering the land and even stranger tales of sightings of Pokémon that...don't seem to be of this world. Eight badges will give you a chance to participate in the local competition known as the Ace tournament, a competition where Mazagosa has the best trainers in all of Paldea compete for a chance to take on the top champion of Paldea. The winner not only gets the title of champion, but they also win a huge cash prize, a medal, and a trophy i recognition of their victory."

As he finishes his summaries, Professor Oak smiles and adds "And best of all, each of these regions has a school that not only teaches students the fundamentals like math and science, but everything they will need to know about Pokemon in order to be fully recognized by the Pokemon League as Pokemon trainers."

"Which means that Lincoln won't be missing out on his education while he's away." surmised Leonard while nodding his head.

"Still...that's a lot to jump through just to become a Trainer..." said Lincoln, frowning. "Do I have to go through all of that for every region?"

"No. You only need to go to one school and complete one year of study. Once you finish your studies, you will be registered in the Pokemon League's database and be allowed to travel to any region of your choice. So Lincoln, what region do you want to visit first?"inquired the professor.

"Hmm...Well, I'm honestly most interested in Paldea. Naranja Academy sounds like the perfect place to study as it sounds like it's one of the most advanced institutes in the whole world. Plus they're the added benefit of the abundance of Pokemon wildlife you described. It sounds like the perfect place to start off about learning Pokemon."said Lincoln, feeling like studying at a prestigious Pokemon School would be the best place to start learning how to be a Pokemon trainer.

"I'm glad you think so Lincoln, cuz I also happen to be friends with the current director of Naranja Academy. His name is Mario Clavell, and me and him have known each other for years."said Leonard, who was glad that Lincoln chose Paldea.

"Leonard, what are you up to?"question Professor Oak, as he had a feeling that his old friend was up to something.

"Sammy, I would love to stay in chat but I got to make some calls and call in a few favors."said Leonard, before he hung up the VideoPhone.

"Wai-!"was all Professor Oak could say, before he was hung up on.

"Okay Lincoln, your parents should be getting home right about now as we've been talking for quite a while. Let's get them to sign all the necessary paperwork and get you to Naranja Academy as fast as possible. All call Mario in a few people I know who are high up in the Pokemon League. They owe me a few favors over the years and it's time I cash in in order to help my grandson become a Pokemon trainer."said Leonard, causing Lincoln to smile at him.

"Thanks, Gramps."said Lincoln, before Leonard recalled Gyarados and motion for Lincoln to follow him back to his fishing truck.

"The sooner we do this, the better."said Leonard, before he started up the engine of the truck and began driving away from Flips, heading in the direction of the Loud House.

"I wonder who my starter Pokemon will be?"questions Lincoln, wondering what Pokemon he was going to get from the academy to start off his journey.

"I can't wait to find out, kiddo."said Leonard, as he drove to Franklin Street as fast as possible.

After all, the sooner they get Lincoln's parents to agree to send him to Naranja Academy, the sooner Lincoln can begin his journey to becoming an official Pokemon trainer!

[After managing to escape the house in one piece, Lincoln met up with his grandfather and learned about the world of Pokemon by meeting his grandfather's pokémon, Gyarados. Now Lincoln plans to get his parents permission to go to Naranja Academy, one of the most prestigious Pokemon schools in the world, located in the region of Paldea. Will Lincoln's parents agree to send him to an island off the coast of Spain? Only time will tell is the journey continues]
