After talking to Charlie, Danny decides to walk around the hotel. He saw Niffty clearing again and waved to her. Niffty saw him and waved back. HDanny then spots Husk and gave him a nod. Hustk rolled his eyes but gave a nod back.
Danny kept walking, thinking on how he was going to get the sinner to see the real reason for this hotel, without doing what Charlie did. He was so lost in thought he didn't see someone walk around the corner and crash into them. They both fell to the floor and Danny rubbed his head. He looks up and saw that he ran into Vaggie!
"Vaggie! Sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" he said, quickly getting up and offering a hand to her.
She rubbed her head before seeing Danny's hand and his guilty look. Something she rarely sees down here.
"It's fine." She said, taking it.
Danny helps her to her feet before he sighs.
"What's up?" Vaggie asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Just, well," Danny tried to say before groaning.
"Since I have no idea how long I'm going to be here, I'm thinking of a way to help your guy get your business to be more active. And since the News will call me in..." Danny said, trailing off.
Vaggie sighs, remembering the last time that happened.
"I told her not to sing a song and she still did! I love her and all, but sometimes she doesn't think." Vaggie said.
"Kind of how my mom is with my dad," Danny smirks.
Vaggie shooked her head before looking at Danny. She looked over his human form, knowing very well he wear a baggy shirt to hide his scars and muscles since he doesn't want anyone to know about his powers. There have been a few times they saw him shirtless when Charlie wanted to see how his mornings were. They stopped after seeing him shirtless for the first time and agreed not to tell anyone about it.
"You know, you don't have to wear those down here." She said, confusing him.
"In the Ring of Pride, we're allowed to dress how we want," Vaggie said.
"I see," Danny said, looking at his clothes.
He knew it would be a matter of time before he has to get new clothes. He then looks at Vaggie and remembered some Charlie told him.
"I thought you don't trust men?" He asked, surprising her.
"How?!" She asked.
"Charlie told me. She felt it was a good idea to know a bit about the staff a bit more. I won't ask what made you hate men, but please know that I'm not one of them." Danny said, looking away.
Vaggie sighs. She understood what Charlie was doing and didn't have a lot of reasons to hate Danny.
"Though, since this place is to redeem sinners, I wasn't always good with my powers," Danny said, surprising her.
And I fully expect to be yelled at, but when I first got used to my powers, I went on a joyride with them. Doing things that I don't do anymore." Danny said.
"What kind of things?" Vaggie asked.
"Well, I'll get the big one out of the way first," Danny said, looking very guilty and scared of her reaction.
"I use to sneak into the girl's locker room back at school." He said, flinching.
"YOU WHAT?!" Vaggie shouted, angry.
"I always left before they change! I do know to respect some privacy!" Danny quickly said though he knew it did little to calm her down.
Vaggie looked ready to hurt him but stopped herself. She did see the guilt on his face and knew he regrets it. She took a breath, trying to keep a lid on her temper.
"Just don't do that here." She said, seeing him nod.
Vaggie started counting, remembering something that she was once told. It seems to work, for a bit.
"By the way, what's your name? Your real name?" Danny asked her, trying not to push his luck.
Vaggie looked at him, surprised to know he wanted her real name. Though she was still upset, she knew Danny wasn't the type of guy she hated.
"It's Vagatha. And your is Daniel, right?" She said.
"Yeah. Vagatha? That's a nice name." Danny said, smiling a bit.
"So is yours," Vaggie said, smiling a bit.
"So Charlie said you're the manager of the hotel, right?" He asked.
"Yeah. Though, it's hard when we barely get any sinners that want to redeem themselves." Vaggie said.
"Hmm, I wonder if these sinners actually have families," Danny said, thinking.
"What do you mean?" Vaggie asked.
"Just something I'm thinking about. I don't know if it will work or not, but I want to give them something to think about. And after witnessing what happened two days ago, I can tell that this Hotel was made to stop it. But that can't happen if the sinners don't stop thinking about themselves." Danny said.
"Well, this is hell." Vaggie pointed out.
"As true as that sounds, it's something they need to hear. Whether they want to or not." He said, thinking.
"What do you plan on doing? And please tell me you won't sing." She asked.
"Sing, no. But I need to know more about hell. If I have a better idea of what to expect, then I can plan for something." Danny said, surprising Vaggie.
"And you're a C student?" She asked.
"Blame the ghosts and the A-Listers. My sister is straight A student." Danny sighs.
"Or in my dad's case, solid B munis." He quickly added.
The next day,
Danny spends most of his time reading up on hell. A few things were true about what was said on Earth and some that he never knew. Danny seems to absorb everything he read, finding it a bit odd for him to do so. He walked down the hall before bumping into someone. He backed away before looking up to see Alastor looking down at him with his smile.
"Hello, Daniel. Nice to see that you're walking around in your human form." He said.
"What do you want, Alastor?" Danny asked, keeping his guard up.
"Just to say good morning to the hero of Earth." He said.
"Cut the act, Alastor! I've seen Vlad pull that many times." Danny told him.
"Oh yes, Vladimir Masters. Pinning for your mother, though he lost before he could begin." Alastor said, still smiling.
"Your father might be a moron, but even I can tell that man cares about his family." He added, walking a bit.
"And your sister. A bright young lady who is recovering her inner child. She sounds like someone I could love to meet." He said, seeing Danny glared at him.
"And your friends, Tucker and Sam. Oh, their sins are far more than what they make it. Tucker has lots of lust in him and is super jealous that you got a date a few times. And for Sam? Oh, that girl doesn't get how dark she gets. Open-minded?! HA! She can't even see the truth about things just so she can be right about her actions! Not to mention how envious she gets!" He said, laughing.
"Envious?" Danny asked, confused.
"Ah, that's right. You don't know. She is envious and jealous of girls getting close to you. She thinks they are not worthy of you. You both have refused each time but I can tell you're trying to understand your feelings while she afraid of coming forward." Alastor said.
"Sam is just my friend. Nothing is going with us." Danny said, glaring at the Radio Demon.
"So you say," Alastor said, still smiling.
"Well, I'll be on my way." He said, walking past Danny.
"Oh and please, do smile more." He added.
Danny watched until he turn around the corner and releases his breath. What did he mean by that? Danny shook his head. From what he was told, he should not listen to everything he says. Danny pulled out the book and went back to reading. However, he did wonder if his family and friends were okay.
Later,
Cherri made it to the hotel, feeling nervous for some reason. She had no idea why. She was just coming to see Angel Dust and...Danny.
She places her hand over her chest, feeling her heartbeat without the rush. She still had no idea why she gets like this when she thinks about him. Shaking her head, Cherri walked in and saw Husk sleeping at the check out/in counter. She rolled her eye and walked past him.
"Angel, for the last time, NO!"
"Come on, Phantom Daddy."
She smirks as she heard Angel once more trying to flirt with Danny. She decides to save him before Angel pushes him too far.
"Okay, Dust, give him some room." She said, walking up.
Angel and Danny turned to see Cherri, who smiles. Angel was once again dressed like a girl, knowing he was into cross-dressing. Danny was smart enough to see that Angel was hasn't given up on trying to win him over.
"So, what brings you here, Cherri?" Danny asked, phasing out of Angel's arms.
"The Hell News has caught wind of you. And Katie Killjoy wants to interview you." She said.
"Well, she can wait until I'm ready. Since this is hell, I know she'll try to spin the truth. After what she did with Charlie, I'm not going to fall for her tricks until I have enough." Danny said.
"Enough of what?" Cherri asked.
"Sorry, but I need to keep it to myself. But once I'm on the news, I'll tell everyone then." Danny said, surprising her.
"Really? You have been in hell for a few days now. You seem to be fitting right in." Angel said.
Danny sighs. Still unsure if that was true. He looks at Cherri, who smiled, making him remember Alastor.
"Cherri, can you please not smile right now? I'm still not over what Alastor told me about my family and friends." He asked her.
S-sure." She said, surprised.
"Don't get me wrong, I don't mind your smile. But I really need to see a mouth in something other than that." He said, sighing.
Cherri felt her cheeks warm up when she heard that he liked her smile. However, hearing how the Radio Demon was having some effect on him, made her upset.
"Then out about we head into town?" She asked.
"Going to blow something up again?" Angel asked.
"Maybe." She said, trying not to smile.
"Want to come with us?" Cherri asked, Danny.
Danny sighs. He could use some air.
"Sure, just hang on a minute." He said, walking over to Husk.
Danny sighs before slamming his hand onto the counter.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" Husk shouted, jointing up.
"I'm heading out, Husk. Let Charlie know." He told him.
"Whatever," Husk said, laying his head back down.
"Niffty!" Danny called out.
"Yes?" The small demon said from the ceiling.
"Since I know Husk won't can you let Charlie and the others know I'm heading out?" He asked her.
"Will do! Must clean! Must Clean!" She said, going back to work.
"See, you fit in just fine," Angel said.
Danny rolled his eyes as he follow the two sinners out of the hotel, hoping he would get over Alastor's words.
And here you all go. Danny got to know Vaggie a bit more and he did make her a bit upset but I had it where she was trying to keep her temper in check. Danny even had a run-in with Alastor and he pointed out some faults with his friends and his father. Though, Danny still didn't pick up on what Alastor told him about Sam. Though it's been two days-three days since Danny arrived in hell, he's finding himself more used to hell than he thought.
And does anyone know what happen with Fanfiction yesterday? The whole site was not accessible until midnight last night. And I hear there are still some problems going on. And don't forget to review this chapter as well.
