I really enjoyed writing this chapter! I hope you all like it too! Thanks for reading!

I woke up to Kit diving onto the duvet, his paws pressing against me repeatedly until he shoves me off the bed. My body hitting the floor in a loud 'thud' which then caused Kakashi to bust into the room, Kunai in hand.

"What happened?!"

He asks loudly as I groan underneath the material on top of me.

"Aimi?"

I hear footsteps approach before the duvet is whipped off of me, my body laying on the floor as Kit perches on the edge of the bed, looking at me all smug.

"God you can be such an asshole…"

I growl, gazing at my fox so the ninja knows I'm talking to Kit and not him.

"Here."

Kakashi extends his hand down to me and I reach up, placing mine in his, his fingers tightening around it as he pulls me swiftly to my feet. My other hand shoving my fox as he stumbles off the bed.

"Jerk."

I mutter before I smile at the Jonin, my eyes gazing up at him as I yawn.

"Did you sleep at all?"

I ask as I step around him to walk out into the living area.

"No, I'm supposed to be guarding you, remember?"

I gaze at him from over my shoulder, my eyebrows raising as I sigh.

"Yes… I remember. And do you remember when I said I didn't need a baby sitter?"

I snap back, trying to match his tone. Clearly he is grumpy because he's been awake all night but he doesn't need to be all pissy with me. I didn't ask for his help.

"I do."

"So, if you want to leave then leave. I'll be fine, I have Kit."

I mutter again, opening the fridge as I grab another bottle of water. My nose sniffing the air as I look over at a pot of hot, dark brown water.

"What's this?"

I ask, my nose sniffing it closer as a shiver goes down my back.

"That's coffee. Have you not had it before?"

I sense Kakashi stop beside me as he leans over me, grabbing too mugs from the shelf above me as I get that warm feeling in my cheeks again. Why does it keep happening when he's around?

"Here, try it."

The ninja pours me a cup and hands it to me, my eyes dropping to it as I accept it, the cup warming my palms as I lift it to my lips as I sniff it again before taking a sip.

"Whoa…"

My eyes glow orange for a second as I drink more of it, Kakashi chuckling as he leans against the kitchen countertop a hand on his hip.

"Easy, you'll be bouncing off the walls of you drink too much."

I ignore him as I finish my cup, pouring myself another.

"I'll be fine."

I chuckle as I take another sip, my body shivering again in satisfaction as I look at the masked ninja who is suddenly quiet.

"Kakashi? Is everything okay?"

"Hmm?"

He looks up at me, giving me a smile as he rubs the back of his neck.

"Of course… I…"

Knock, Knock

My gaze moves from the tall ninja to the door, moving to it as Kakashi takes my wrist, suspicion in his eye.

"It's Guy, chill out."

"How do you know that?"

He lets my wrist go as I open the door, Guy and a smaller version of him standing beside him. My eyes widening a little as my gaze drifts between the two.

"Uh… His chakra…"

I mutter as I struggle to take my eyes of the two people in my doorway.

"You must be Aimi Hidaka! I am Rock Lee, it is a pleasure to meet you!"

Kit sits beside me, his ears all the way back as I just look at the boy.

"It's uncanny…"

"I told you."

Kakashi says quietly from beside me.

"I can't look away…"

"You'll get used to it."

I manage to peel my gaze away to look at the masked ninja before I turn away completely.

"You two… Uh… Wait here, I just need to change."

"You bet! Take your time!"

Guy says and I rub my ear, his enthusiasm loud in the morning.

"Thanks…"

I say in response as I walk away, grabbing some clothes that Jiraiya got me yesterday and moving into the bathroom, closing the door behind me with my foot.

"Wow…"

I mutter as I rub my head, placing the clothes on the counter as I undress, throwing my torn up, bloody clothes in the laundry basket as I change into a pair of black shorts, being careful not to press anything on my bandaged thigh. My head turning to hear the men and boy, outside the door talking.

"I don't want to know."

I whisper to myself as I pull on a short sleeved black undershirt and a dark green oversized sweater. I look at myself in the mirror, ignoring the bruising on my legs as I tie my long red hair into a high ponytail.

"You ready?"

Guy yells as I open the door, giving them a smile as the two Jonin stare at me intensely. Why are they staring at me so intensely… God men are so strange.

"Yeah… I just need to put on my shoes."

Kit walks over with my sandals in his mouth, dropping them in front of me as I slide my feet into them, zipping up the back before I scratch my fox's head.

"Thanks boy."

"Well I'll take this opportunity to check in with the Hokage, I'll find you three soon."

Kakashi waves before leaving, my eyes following him before Guy swings his arm around my shoulder, pulling me out of the apartment and down the stairs as his student follows behind us, my fox hot on our heels.

"Is he really going to do that many push ups?"

I ask as I look at Guy, his student Lee training harder than I've seen any kid train before.

"Absolutely! Lee gives one hundred and ten percent no matter what, he doesn't have ninjutsu to rely on. So he focused all his attention in refining his skills in taijutsu."

I look at the ninja beside me before looking back at the boy.

"It's impressive, even his chakra control is incredible for a boy of his age."

"You…can see his chakra?"

Guy asks and I nod.

"I can, I can see everyones. That's how I knew it was you at the door, everyones chakra is individual to that person. Kinda like a finger print."

"That's amazing… Does Kakashi know?"

I sigh, leaning back as I press my hands into the grass.

"No, I tried asking him something last night about one of the emotions I was feeling and he started acting all… Weird. Since then he's been a little off with me."

I look at Lee as he kicks this piece of wood over and over, a warm breeze blowing softly against my skin as Kit chases a butterfly around.

"Well what was the emotion you were feeling?"

He asks, moving closer to me as I look over at him.

"Uh, so I don't know what the feeling is but maybe if I describe it to you, you can tell me?"

"I'll try my best!"

He smiles brightly at me as I sit up a little straighter, turning my body to face him as I cross my legs beneath me. My body close to his as we look at each other. His cheeks tinting pink, my eyes looking at them for a second.

"Okay so, I get this funny feeling in my stomach and it's not unpleasant but it's different…"

I pause as Guy listens.

"And then, I feel my face get all hot and my cheeks go all red, kinda like how yours are now and…

"Oh, I uh… I know what that is…"

Guy starts to laugh nervously and I raise an eyebrow at him.

"Does your heart race a little when this happens?"

I tilt my head at him, thinking back.

"Yeah… A little actually. Why, what does it mean?"

The ninja laughs louder this time, so loud in fact it stops his student from training. Lee jogging over as he looks down at us.

"What is it Guy-Sensei? What's so funny?"

I blink in confusion as Kit walks over, sitting beside me as he holds the butterfly in his mouth.

"You have a crush! Who are you around when this happens? Is it me? People do call me the Leaf's Noble Gentleman!"

"That's right Guy-Sensei!"

"It usually happens around Kakashi… What's a crush?"

I ask as Guy's smile drops, his face saddening as he yells dramatically.

"I've been beaten by him again!"

What in the hell is going on? I look at the Jonin as Lee comforts him, my eyebrows raising as I stand up, slightly uncomfortable with this interaction.

"I'm… I think I'm going to hang out by the waterfall… Uh come find me when you've finished whatever this is…"

I gesture to Kit to leave the two of them alone as I walk across the field, my eyes glancing over my shoulder to see them still in view as I kick off my sandals.

"Go on, I know you want to."

My fox barks as he transforms into his giant self, his body backing up before he runs and jumps into the river, creating a large splash that soaks me from head to toe. A loud laugh escaping my lips as I pull off my sweater.

"Oh you are gonna pay for that!"

I dump my sweater on the ground as I run into the water, my feet splashing as I jump up to my fox, my arms wrapping around him as I pull him into the water, a playful growl escaping him and me as we create another splash.

"You're such an idiot sometimes."

I say with amusement in my voice, my body now floating in the deeper part of the water as Kit swims around me, my eyes gazing up at the waterfall as I let out a satisfied breath.

"You shouldn't be on your own, where's Guy?"

My eyes widen as I yelp, my hand raising as I send a tendril of twisting water into, who I now realize is Kakashi. His body being thrown back to the river bank as he lands in a crouch, his clothes and hair dripping as he sighs.

"I told you to stop doing that!"

I yell at him as I slowly rise from the river before I step onto the waters surface, walking slowly back toward him.

"I apologize, I didn't mean to scare you, that's on me."

I stop in front of him as my feet press into the grass riverbank, my eyes looking up at him again as Guy and Lee sprint across the field to join us.

"I can uh… I can dry you off if you like?"

I ask as I look up at Kakashi, his head tilting as his hair clings to his scalp.

"You had to win yet another match, didn't you Kakashi. Why do you have to be so cool?!"

The masked ninja and I just blink at Guy in confusion as Kit continues to jump around and play in the water behind us.

"What are you on about now?"

Kakashi asks as he looks at the other Jonin, Guy's hand pointing at me as I smack it away.

"You had to win the girl!"

I tense up and I'm pretty sure Kakashi did too, what the heck is he rambling on about? He didn't win squat! I clench my jaw, my finger twitching as another water tendril bursts out the river, colliding with Guys chest, knocking him back as his body slides across the grass.

"Guy-Sensei!"

Lee runs over to his teacher as I rub the back of my neck, Kakashi looking down at me as I face him again.

"What does he mean by that?"

"Don't ask me, nobody is explaining anything. I'm just as lost as you are."

I pause before speaking again.

"Now do you want to be dried off or not?"

"I would."

"Then give me your hands."

I hold out my hands to the Jonin as he gazes down at me with a mix of curiosity and something else in his eye. After a few moments he takes my hands and I look up at him, my cheeks burning again as I clear my throat.

"This will only take a moment."

I whisper softly, my blue irises mixing with orange before they're consumed completely in a fiery glow. Kakashi's gaze remaining on mine as I give him a smile, the water droplets rising upward off our clothes and hair now instead of toward the earth as I manipulate the element.

"Whoa…"

His voice is soft as I watch him gaze at the orbs of water floating around us. My energy now radiating heat as I dry off our clothes and hair before I look toward the river again, the orbs of water floating toward it before falling back down like rain.

"See, all dry."

I laugh softly as I look at Kakashi, his gaze different than before as he looks down at me, his hands still holding mine as I feel that sensation in my stomach again. Is this that thing Guy was talking about? A crush?

"How about we get some lunch? I'm pretty sure Naruto wants to say hello too."

I nod at the Jonin as he lets go of my hands, a small whistle escaping my lips to call Kit over as I grab my damp sweater off the ground, my hand drawing the water out before I slide it back on. Maybe Naruto will be able to explain to me what a crush is.

"Come on already, don't you want some chicken?"

I say to my fox as his ears perk up, my eyes widening as his giant form runs towards us, his tongue hanging out of his mouth in excitement as he chases me across the field. Kakashi, Guy and Lee all following behind.
