Chapter 82 She's Gone
Saki's POV
During intermission, I went to the restroom with my friends.
"Tsukasa's performance was amazing", Ichika stated.
"I know, right", I agreed. "He was so cool! And…he was shining so bright, almost like a star!"
After I said this, I thought about Tsukasa's performance, and a huge smile came to my face.
However…this smile quickly faded…when I suddenly felt pain in my stomach like I did earlier in the day.
As soon as the pain hit, I clutched my stomach before kneeling down in pain.
"Saki-Chan", Honami exclaimed in concern before rushing up to me. "Are you okay?!"
"D…don't worry", I reassured. "It's just cramps. That's all."
"Are you sure, Saki", Ichika asked as she came up to me as well.
"Yeah", I replied. "I'm s…"
Before I could finish…the pain got worse…and my knees fell to the ground.
"Saki", Shiho exclaimed before rushing up to me.
"Has the pain gotten worse, Saki-Chan", Honami asked.
I tried to get an answer out, but could only let out a scream of pain instead.
"Saki", Ichika exclaimed in concern.
"Oh no", Honami said, before looking up at everyone. "Ichika-Chan, please get Aoyagi-San. Shiho-Chan, please call an ambulance."
Tsukasa's POV
The show had ended, and the lights turned back on.
As I stood with my fellow cast members, I looked into the audience. But when I did…I noticed that my sister and her friends were not in their seats.
As soon as I saw this, I got a bad feeling; a specific type of bad feeling I had gotten before.
Whenever I got this bad feeling in the past, it would be quickly followed by the sounds of Saki crying in pain, or my mother rushing into my room to tell me that Saki needed to be rushed to the hospital.
(If I'm getting this bad feeling now, does that mean…that Saki…)
"Oh no."
As soon as I had this realization…I quickly rushed backstage.
"Tsukasa", I heard my friends call to me.
I didn't stop to respond to them. I continued to run, until I was stopped by the director.
"Where are you going, Tsukasa", he asked. "The manga author wants to congratulate you on your amazing performance."
"Forgive me, director", I apologized. "But I need to…"
Before I could finish, Mizuki rushed up to me.
"Tenma-Senpai, Saki was rushed to the hospital!"
When Mizuki said this…It felt as I huge pit had dropped to my stomach.
"What", Sakurako exclaimed as she caught up to me with my friends.
"Is she okay", Emu asked.
"What happened", Nene asked.
"During intermission, Saki and her friends went to the restroom", Mizuki revealed. "But a few moments later, they rushed out and said that Saki was suddenly feeling great pain!"
After Mizuki said this, I began to panic greatly.
"We need to get to the hospital right now!"
…
As Emu's brothers were driving us to the hospital, I looked out the window nervously.
When I suddenly felt someone grab my hand, I turned around and saw Emu.
"Don't worry, Tsukasa-Kun", she reassured. "Saki-Chan will be okay!"
I didn't say anything, and gave a weak smile and nod instead.
Sometime after this, the car pulled up at the hospital. Before it fully came to a stop, I grabbed the door handle and pushed it open before rushing outside. Then I rushed into the hospital and up to the front desk.
"Tenma Saki", I quickly blurted out to the receptionist. "I'm her brother! She was rushed her because…"
"I understand", the receptionist interrupted. "Please follow me."
With that, I followed the receptionist through the hospital, until she led me to a hall outside of a room.
When I got there, I spotted Toya…who was curled up in a ball on the ground.
"Toya", I exclaimed.
Then, I rushed up to him before putting my hands on his shoulders.
"Toya", I started. "Where's Sak…"
Before I could finish…Toya looked up at me…and his tear stained face had a look of great pain on it.
When I saw this face…I could feel my heart stop beating in my chest.
"No. Please no."
After I whispered this…I heard screams of pain behind me.
I turned around, and saw Ichika, Shiho and Honami. They were all holding each other and crying in pain.
I began rushing to Ichika…But before I reached her…I spotted something that froze my body dead in its tracks.
On the hospital bed everyone was crying in front of…laid a body…under a white cloth. And sticking out of the cloth…was blonde hair with pink tips.
Miku's POV
I was playing a song with everyone, when suddenly…I was overcome with great sadness.
I started sobbing uncontrollably, before falling to my knees.
"Miku", Luka exclaimed before rushing up to me. "What's wrong?!"
"Luka", I sobbed as I looked up to her. "It's…it's Saki."
When I said this…Luka knew what I meant…and her eyes widened.
"Wait", Rin started, also having realized what I meant. "Do you mean, Sakki…is…"
After Rin said this, she rushed to Saki's keyboard and began trying to play it…but no sound would come out.
"No", she cried out. "No, no, no! Sakki's keyboard won't work anymore! Does that mean…"
Rin didn't finish her sentence…and fell to the ground as she began to cry.
Kaito and Len rushed to comfort her, but it wasn't long before they were crying to.
I also continued to cry, while Meiko and Luka comforted me through their own tears.
"Oh, Saki."
Kaito's POV
I was rehearsing a show with the plushies, when suddenly…I was overcome with great sadness.
I started sobbing uncontrollably before dropping to my knees.
"Kaito", Miku exclaimed before rushing up to me. "What's wro…"
Before Miku finished…tears started falling from her eyes as well.
"Tsukasa-Kun's sister", she said. "She's…"
Before Miku could finish…the ground began to shake!
"What's going on", Meiko asked.
Then, I looked up at the tent…and saw that it was wobbling!
"Everyone out now!"
With this command, the plushies and everyone else rushed out of the tent. And just as we managed to get out of it…it collapsed…and came crashing down.
When Miku saw this…her eyes widened, before her knees dropped to the ground.
"The stage", she said. "It's…it's…"
"Kaito", one of the plushies said as they rushed up to me. "Something's happened! Please come with me!"
With this, I followed the plushie.
When we got to where it was leading me to…my heart stopped at what I saw.
The bunny plushie was laying on the ground. She wasn't moving…and the balloons that carried her no longer had air in them.
Slowly, I walked up to her…before dropping to my knees…and taking her in my arms.
She didn't move at all…and tears started falling from my eyes as I realized what this meant.
Tsukasa's sister…was gone.
