It was just as rainy on the other side of the continent, where a shadowy figure rushed through the stormy weather all the way to a secret forest in the northeast of the region, finding a glowing artifact on the ground.

"Could my eyes deceive me?! It is! A time gear!... But this is only the first of many," the shadowy figure smirked as thunder flashed in the distance. He then swiped the azure-colored gear and, shortly after, ran off into the distance. And after doing so, time proceeded to come to a completely and utter standstill all throughout the area of the forest, all the Pokemon that didn't notice it being trapped in time completely. "Sorry, guys, but you'll be back to normal soon," the shadowy figure said with a sigh. He needed to go to the next easiest one, and it was all the way across the map. "Limestone Caverns is up next... I'll make it quick.

After I had a good night's sleep without any dreams, we woke up the next morning and proceeded to do the three rule cheer before then going to the different listings on both of the bulletin boards.

"So, where are we going today?" Kiba asked with a smile.

"We're going to take the jobs for Mount Bristle, consisting of three different rescues and two outlaws. We need to find and rescue an Elekid, a Mantyke, and escort a female Nidoran to a male one, and then, after those ones, we go after an Electrike and a Happiny, both of which being B rank outlaws," I explained.

"Sounds tough, but we can do it, especially with your transforming powers against the criminals," Kiba smirked with a chuckle, us then going down the road and seeing that there was some kind of hole in the ground in the crossroads, us then inspecting it and seeing that it was called 'Flutter's Cafe, where Rescue Teams can rest, relax, and explore. Under construction.'

"I've never heard of a Pokemon called Flutter, so who could it be?" Kiba asked in confusion.

"No idea, but I hope they're nice," I smirked happily as we then went to town and saw that everyone looked at us happily, which we learned was because of how Marill and Azurill told them how our team and Team Poochy defeated four tough bad guys to rescue the little blue Pokemon. And Azurill made sure to keep the part of my turning giant a secret, which I was grateful for. And after this, we then went out to Mount Bristle and, after a very successful trip, we managed to not only get a lot of rewards, including three more Reviver Seeds (the best of all the seeds), about 1000 more in terms of money (as well as an almost equal amount found in the mountain itself0 and we'd been ranked up from Novice to Bronze, which earned us a bit of surprising bonuses in the form of a Sitrus Berry and more storage space being allowed at Kangaskhan Storage. And that we'd be able to take on more different mission types in the future.

"Which of us should get the Sitrus Berry? Because it ups your maximum HP when you eat it with full health," Kiba asked, me then smirking as I had a feeling that, with your stats being higher than mine, maybe I should get it. I have less HP and Defense than you do," I smirked.

"Smart thinking, that's what we'll do then," Kiba smirked as I then ate the berry... and I gawked at how, after doing so, I felt super full!

"Wow... that thing is filling! I might not be able to eat much at dinnertime," I admitted. We then ate dinner shortly after and, when we did, I still did eat some, just not as much as usual. And then, after that, we went to bed and I entered dreamland again.

In this dream, I saw that I was in a scenario in the future that made me concerned. I was being chased after alongside Grovyle and Celebi... wait, yeah, they were my partners! Anyways, we were being chased by a ghostly Pokemon and a slew of sharp-clawed Sableye that were his lackeys.

"Get them, before they escape! Master Dialga demands their deaths!" I heard the voice say, me seeing it was quite deep and angry, me frowning as I then whispered to my comrades.

"Keep going until we find an alcove, then we'll dig underground to avoid them," I said, them nodding as we then finally found an alcove we could hide in, which was in the form of a large field of quicksand pits, us hiding inside of the pits themselves, as they weren't able to have us sink with the frozen time... and when we did so, I felt a Dimensional Scream flash happen in my mind, where I saw that there was a Pokemon that arrived at this area in the far past and it was a Scizor of sorts. And he'd jumped into the quicksand, and, after that, he fell into an underground tunnel system. After this, he then arrived at a large underground lake with a Time Gear under the waters.

"Scizor? So you've returned again," said the voice of a pink haired Pokemon that looked very fragile in appearance.

"Yes, I have. Sorry for the intrusion, I just wanted to see how you've been doing," Scizor said with a smirk.

"Be honest, I can sense your emotions and I can feel sorrow and concern in you. Tell me, what's going on?" the pink Pokemon asked.

"I wanted to let you know that I'm going on a trip to the Blizzard Islands... I don't know if I'll be able to return, as I've heard the place is dangerous. If I happen to return, I just wanted to say... I want to spend the rest of my life with you," he said, me gawking at that and for the love interest to be surprised before smiling happily.

"I sense it within you. The same caring, tender love that I feel for you... if we meet again, I accept. I will await your arrival in the future... I, Mesprit, will never forget," she smirked happily.

"And make sure the Time Gear stays safe. Who knows if someone would steal it one day... I cannot even fathom what may happen from that..."

"Agreed completely... fare thee well, Scizor..." Mesprit said before the very long Dimensional Scream vision ended, and I saw that I was back under the sand and that Grovyle spoke after.

"Okay, coast is clear, they're gone," he said as we then poked our heads above the sand and I explained the vision I had to them, which I saw was the last one we'd needed to get before we had to get going to the Passage of Time... and then?

"UP AND AT 'EM! WAKE UP!" Loudred shouted, me then groaning awake and then getting Kiba up as we then went to morning announcements and then, shortly after, we got yelled at by Loudred again. "HEY! Rookies! Over HERE!" he shouted, me going over to him with Kiba to see that Diglett was there and was looking at us with a... smile? He didn't have a mouth.

"Hey, I'm going to be a bit busy with helping dad change out the Bulletin Boards, so I wanted to ask if you could cover for me?" he asked, me looking at Kiba and then at Diglett.

"You mean the sentry duty thing? With the grate and whose footprint and all?" I asked.

"Yep, that! So, could ya do it?" he asked.

"Only if you can answer how you're able to talk without a mouth," I said, him then looking at Loudred, then at Kiba before then speaking.

"I don't know, like, at all... bye," he said in confusion before then burrowing off, which Loudred looked at us with a big smile.

"And that's THAT!" Loudred shouted heartily.

"So, we go into this thing, we find our way to the grate, and then we just identify visitors, right?" Kiba asked.

"Yep, you catch on FAST! We gotta do THIS all DAY until CLOSING TIME of 9 at NIGHT! THAT'S when CLOSING TIME IS! You READY?" he asked.

"Let's get going," I smirked as he then opened the grate below us and me and Kiba had to crawl the whole way through a whole bunch of tunnel, it being completely dark, so we had to resort to my turning my nose into a light bulb of red to lead us through, us then finally getting to the light at the end of the tunnel, it being the light coming through the grate.

"Hey, look, it's some kind of microphone thing," I said as I then spoke into it. "Hey, Loudred? Can you hear me?" I asked, the voice then coming in from below us.

"YEAH, I CAN! Okay, Pokemon will be coming up to the grate all DAY today! Your job is to IDENTIFY by FOOTPRINT and then let me KNOW who it IS! GOT IT?!"

"YEP, WE DO!" I shouted back into it.

"HEY! NO SHOUTING BACK!" he shouted even louder and angrier into the hole, my ears ringing after.

"Sorry!" Kiba spoke for us, me then looking at Kiba with a smile.

"We gonna do good at this?" I smirked.

"Yes, I think we will. I studied footprint runes and footprints in general when I was growing up. Mainly for exploration means, but also because of uh... other things," he admitted.

"You're kidding, right?" I groaned as I had a feeling what it was.

"I like feet, yes, but only in certain ways. Not like this, okay?" he said, me sighing at that.

"Okay, okay, not going into it, let's just get started," I said as we looked up and, just in time, as there was a Pokemon that appeared.

"Pokemon Detected!" I shouted twice into the microphone.

"Whose Footprint?!"

"The Footprint is... Dragon Exeggutor!"

"Come on in!" Loudred said, him speaking after. "Hey, Right on the NOSE! Good JOB!" And then, after a bit, we then got another one, it being Bayleef. Then, an hour later, was a Togepi. Then the next one was a Scyther. And then the final two, both near the end of the shift, were Officer Magnezone and Dolliv, which we then were closed after that, and we went back to the Guild and saw that Chatot was there with Loudred.

"Let's review your score... huh, impressive! You got a perfect run! Every visitor identified correctly! You deserve a reward for this... I know, I'll give you enough Points to get a Silver Rank, which gives you some more space as well as this," Chatot smirked as he winged us (because he didn't have hands) a bottle of Zinc.

"What does this do?" I asked, for some reason not remembering what it did.

"If you drink a Zinc, even though the taste is horrid, you'll gain Special Defense permanently. I'd recommend giving it to the weaker of the duo," Chatot smiled, me then looking at Kiba and him then giving it to me, but I smirked at him.

"How about you get it this time, Kiba?" I asked.

"No, no, I hate yucky taste, you have it," he said, me smirking at that.

"Okay, if you insist..." I sighed as I then chugged the drink down, me gagging a bit after from the extreme bitterness it had. "YUCK! That tasted horrid!" I groaned.

"And now you know why I didn't want it," Kiba smirked.

"Don't worry, we can wash it down with good food very soon," Chatot smirked as we then enjoyed a great bit of food after, me smirking at the milk, as it tasted super good! And afterwards, we then bunked down, but before we did, I told Kiba about the dream that I'd had the previous night, leaving out the part about the time gear under the quicksand, but telling him about the meeting of Scizor and a Pokemon called Mesprit.

"Why would your dream go on for that long, though?" he asked in confusion.

"My only guess is that the Dimensional Scream lasted for much longer in a world that had no sense of time... it also allowed me to see that the area that Scizor was at was important to the mission, but I don't know the exact location of the quicksand area," I admitted.

"The mission regarding Temporal Tower, right?" Kiba asked, me nodding. "I'm still confused on that... Time Gears being needed to stop it? If they were that important, then how come nobody's gone after them yet?"

"My best guess, the warning from Mew was long since forgotten by the time it starts to collapse... as for the tower's collapse, I remember that the exact date was November 23rd of 2013... it's coming up within a year," I said, which made Kiba surprised.

"That's very worrying... maybe the Mystery Dungeons popping up everywhere are a result of that?"

"That'd be a good thing to bet on. As for Scizor, I have to wonder if he's doing okay? The vision happened about 4 years prior to today..." I sighed.

"We'll find out one day, but let's go to bed," Kiba smirked, us then laying down and having a good night's rest after spending the day underground.
