The bright sun, the warm weather, the perfect day to spend outside all day long. The shine and glimmer in everybody's eyes over today's events shoved any negative thoughts away. Even if it was intentional or not, it made the public silent of recent events.
As beautiful as everyone saw today, Geus was focused on the pain hidden underneath. His tortured eyes with the bags hanged him down. A plain white t-shirt and jeans made the kid look like he carried another person on his back. And compared to the companion by his side, he appeared worse than a zombie.
Even through the pain and misery he still kept a happy face. The booths and food had Kendo ignorant towards Geus's contition. While the entire time Geus scanned the area every few seconds as they talked.
Kendo did a much more convincable job of her poker face. She pointed out the amusements and explored at what the other students create. While the whole time worried about her newly returned friend. She new something was wrong from the start, and with how dense Geus was, couldn't get a true answer. As true and genuine she wanted this day to be, she knew he only came along because of his distracted mind.
Her breaking point came sooner than expect with his attitude. The exhibits may have not been his thing but his mind was easy to follow. Her chest pushed on his arm and head leaned on his shoulder.
"I remember back in the day how I was so much taller than you." She laughed. "I could balance your pencil on my head and not even when you jumped could you get it."
Geus chuckled. "If only the trauma didn't block out those memories."
"Ugh." Kendo twirled around his arm and stepped a few paces in front of him. She tugged at his arm and pointed to the school's entrance. "Stop thinking about the bad. I want you to see how I look in my dress."
His face quickly turned red and choked on his breath. "I can't think of a single guy who led turn that down."
Kendo's eyes narrowed down on his sudden change in expression. And just as fast realized how he construed her words. "Not like that you little perv."
"Come on." Geus pulled back on his arm and tripped up Kendo to him. His arm became free and wrapped around her waist before she fell past him. "I'd at least buy you soba before hand."
Her face turned another shade of red. For a second she forgot about her worries of him and fell in. Even Geus was lot in the moment, he didn't notice how she advance. Both her hands guided to Geus's mask, she wrapped them around his mask and tugged.
Geus snapped back to reality. He became flustered and pulled her hands away. Whether it was from a sub concious actio or not, Geus laughed as he stepped back. He pointed at the school and continued to step back.
"Come on, I want to see how beautiful you'll be."
"You know." She giggled and shook her head toward the ground. "Even as a kid you never let me kiss you back then either."
Geus's face turned shades redder than Kendo's. He turned back to the door and whipped the front door wide open. "Come on. We really got to get ready. I know I still have school work I got to make up." He closed his eyes as he smiled and rubbed the back of his head. "And I'm sort've two hours late."
"You still have after school classes you have to make up and you're hanging out with me?" Kendo yelled.
"You're more important to me than the school!" Geus yelled back.
Both of them stood in silence. Half because of emotional bond-ance and the other nerve striking agitation. Geus stepped through the door with Kendo close behind. "You know what really got me through that Chisaki business? You did." He turned back to face her. "The one person who I thought could save me couldn't even see it was me. The man to save a million people? He left his schoolmate to be locked up again."
"Geus, I had no idea. Nobody knows what happened to you during that time. I-I"
"The point is I got through it because I wanted to get back to you and tell you I remember everything. I remember our childhood, how you stood up for me, how you were the only one there through my grandfather's shit. I wanted to get back and hug you to feel that memory again!" Geus back hit the wall before he crumbled to the ground. His eyes now droopy and head bobbled. "I just don't know who I how I feel." His head sat positioned to the floor, not able to hold open his eyes anymore.
"Come on, you can't fall asleep like this." Kendo squatted down to his level, her knees to her chest and lightly smacked up his cheek. "That last sentence didn't even make any sense."
"You... or Jiro."
Geus's eyes sprang wide open before the darkness took over. Only now he didn't see the entrance to the school, or Kendo. Realization sat in when he finally noticed the blank, heaven like setting. The vast overworld of whiteness.
He fell asleep and she was too. He snapped around to be face to face with another. Geus didn't take a moment to assess the situation, he knew of this place and everything in it. His quirk wouldn't work nor his physical strength.
He swung hard for the man's skull with a right hook. But the man didn't flinch, Geus's fist only went right through his body. Fist after fist he swung for only his hands to swing right through.
The man remained strong and composed as Geus yelled out, gas powerful enough they broke through his mark's filters.
The man mocked Geus but fixing the few lose hairs of his slicked back look. He pulled off his shades and tucked the pair into the 'V' of his white shirt.
"I know how this works! It's my dream! My belief has to be stronger than yours, it's my world, my decisions, my power!"
"Awe come on chap." His voice pitch wasn't his normal voice. It was made to mock Geus, in a away to look down on him. "You were here once before." His smile opened up to expose his
perfect white teeth. "Only this time, no one is here to wake Yuki up." He held up his hand and showed Geus a bottle of Melatonin pills. "Not even she can right now." They disappeared like a cloud of smoke.
"Dream Eater." Geus didn't want to whisper, but his moral strength only mustered that up. "but this isn't my dream."
The man twirled his fingers, a giant stone formed behind Geus and molded around his arms and legs. He looked at his creation and laughed. He lifted his pointer fingers and pointed them. A pair of branches floated above them and drove in Geus's shoulders with the movement.
"Yeah, it's my dream. Unfortunately even though the poor girl is stronger... Enough pain will wake any of the members out."
He lifted up a pinky and wiggled it around. A small metal pin outside of Geus's vision poked his temple. He stepped up to Geus and grabbed Geus's mask. And ripped the piece of metal to the ground.
"Huh. I guess even I forgot what a fucking ugly mouth you had. But I only have two choices in this world. Kill you or torture you until you wake up."
Geus hung his head back up and glared down. "But that's not the plan is it? You wouldn't infiltrate the school to just kill me." His cheekbone rose as to grin. "You wouldn't dare kill Iroh's pet." Geus arched his head forward and twisted it to the side. "You're pride won't allow you to kill me."
He maneuvered the pin around and thrusted it into Geus's thigh. "I respect you too much to kill you, your right. I won't allow Iroh's legacy to fall from a false villain."
Those two words caught Geus off track. "False villains? Each and every one of you dumbasses that escaped with Iroh are killers. Recordings, witnesses, hero testimonials make you each villains and murderers."
The man rose another finger and jammed another needle into Geus's knee. Geus groaned and winced. His body began to tremble, and this alerted the man to further frustration.
"We aren't like that. Iroh chose us." He clasped his shirt in front of his heart and squeezed. "Our crimes were only to heal us from this broken system of heros. If we didn't do what we did then the system would only allow them to do further damage."
His eyes changed when he looked up again. Psychotic in nature, a crazy dead pan stare that brought nothing but fear. "I came here. I orchestrated this whole event for you." He leaned back and extended his arms out for a hug. "We need you Geus. With Iroh's passing, you're the only one to save this system to save us!"
"Fucking yandere." Geus whispered. "You need to turn yourself back in. Go back to the prison, ammend for what you have done. Repent for your chaotic destruction."
"You're not God. Don't speak like one!" His eyes turned back to normal, almost foretting what his mind turned into. "We aren't doing the crimes here. Heroes, people like to Geus, need to die so our governments realize the problem. Stain was right, Iroh was right. All these false heroes have created an abundance of villains to try to cause harm. When you die from those villains and we go out to kill those villains afterwards."
He turned around and lifted his arms to the blank canvas. Miles down and way from them a peaceful city emerged full of city white noise. "We don't need prisons to delay the execution of destruction. We don't create medicine to delay the effects for those takers to get back in ten years. Our goal is to cure the curse. Just like villains, a plague amongst civilization, must be erraticated. Not delayed."
"You might as well kill me now. Cause I can just go to any teacher and alert them of your plans. Put pressure on all you escapees to get you back behind bars. Real bars this time."
"You could, the others also warned me against this confrontation." He turned back around. "but unlike them I know you, Geus. The good you have done, the classmates you saved, your goals of showing the world you aren't a killer. But a hero deserving to save the world. That's why I wanted to see you. For you to give your life for the creator good. To be the martyr of a new age."
"I'm going to stop you. You won't kill me or the League of Villains. Whether I do this alone, or with all of UA behind me."
"You're grandfather, the good one mind you. Is in that town the phone message talks about." His eyes darted straight into Geus's soul. "I recommend you don't tell the school jut yet. Not until the League makes its move. Even I can follow orders, Geus."
"You know I never met the man right? Only heard of this red Haring, empty threats don't do shit."
He took a step back and bowed down, forming several figures in front of him. One of Kendo, Fumikage, Jiro, Eri, and Beka. "You have quite the harem going on. And guy, I don't judge. But the child, I do judge I judge alot. But, you have family. I can read your emotions lodged in your brain along with your memories in this dream world." a blank canvas of a man appeared behind the troubled kid. "And yet those emotions trigger your animal instincts for comfort. Even if you don't admit it."
"I get it, nobody has to die."
"The more of these students that die with you just means the more my cause will rise above. It only shows that their ways caused each of their children to die for their inferior means. That this new age of dealing with these viruses must take over." He smiled and started to fade. "I'll give you the time to think. Get strong enough to face them Geus, take your quirk to heights above the rest of your classmates. But you'll still die to launch my vision. We won't let you fall to anyone else. But, don't go out so quick too."
Eventually Geus's vision turned to black and opened up to the real world. The now forsaken sight of the familiar hospital room filled his eyes. Both relief and even more stress purged his system. He moved his hand to the support bar and squeezed.
It wasn't cold metal, but the warmth and softness of a hand. He smiled and relaxed his eyes as he turned over. "hey." He charmed, he knew who it was before he turned. "I never did get to see you in that dress."
Kendo's eyes and facial expression instantly changed. Her hand enlarged and slapped Geus across the face. "Seriously you sleep for over a day in constant critical heart and all you can think about is me in a dress!" She shouted before her face noticeably blushed. she reached in her pocket and pulled out her phone to a loaded image. "I knew your young mind would be thinking of that."
"If it's been over a day, I'm sorry I missed it. Would've been a sight to behold."
"And I probably lost because I was worrying so much about you." Kendo sat back down and leaned over the railing, her eyes almost touched his face. "You going to tell me what happened back there?"
"No." Geus leaned back into his pillow. "It's my business, and my problems that when the time comes. I'll take care of it."
Her hand snatched his up. "And I want to be on your side for it. Even if that means I'll have to stand next to Jiro with it."
"What does Jiro have to do with it? She has no stake in this thing either."
"Before you fell unconscious you said you couldn't pick between me or Jiro..." Geus's eyes opend up in a panic, and this time he had no where to run to. "For who you loved."
