Underneath his mask, Geus couldn't hold his embarrassed smile still. His lips jiggled, and his cheek twitched. The girl in front of him held a smile leagues above his own. Even though her eyes begged for an answer.
In his own heart, Geus knew there had to be an answer, whether it was for him or for them. His body started to relax.
"I know that was probably my confession... To you." He watched the gingers eyes glisten, and her skin brightened. Geus couldn't help but laugh out a few compressions. "Ah," He sighed. "And to Jiro."
Kendo grabbed Geus's trembling hand. Her grasp was tight and tender. The action is able to tell him how much she cares right now. "I'm going to be there for you. If I'm just there being the sidekick to my favorite hero, Or attached to the hip as your sole protector. I'll be here, no matter what."
"You protecting me?" Geus laughed. "Come on, one-on-one. I'll be the one to kick your ass. And pick you up after."
The door slid open and effectively froze their conversion. The two turned their heads and witnessed the scene at the door. All of Geus's classes were there along with Aizawa and the principal.
"I apologize for having to talk to you so soon after your wake, Geus. But Kendo, I do have to ask you to take your leave." The principal lifted up his finger and slightly bowed to them. "But only for a short period."
Geus couldn't focus on them; Jiro caught his attention. Right at the front of the door, her hand clenched around her other arm. He felt awful for her and his class.
"I really fucked up, didn't I?" Geus rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry, everyone."
Aizawa closed the door right after Kendo left. Twisted the latch and leaned up against the chunk of metal. "There's something you're hiding from us. I'd advise you to start telling us everything."
"I'ma' prove that guy wrong." Geus grabbed his mask and detached the magnets. "The League of Villains situation just got worse. Turns out Iroh had a few kids under his wing; unlike me, they fell for it. They're going to merge."
"I doubt that this mash up will last; just like Chisaki, they'll be betrayed after their usefulness ends."
"How'd you come up with information, beyond police and us on UA's staff? No one knows of this." The principal added.
"That's where it gets confusing. Each of these kids' quirks are extremely powerful, so much that they had to be under 24-hour supervision and quirk collars. But, they have as much knowledge on how to use them as I did mine."
"We can talk with Bailey and get the files on each of the escaped convicts. Determine if the League will even allow any of them near them, temporarily or longer."
"They share the Hero Killer's idealism. They want to see the hero world changed, even if that means ending the hero's currently active. Then betray and kill the League."
"A parasite on an invasive species. One's going to take out the other, but each will cause destruction and disease wherever they go. This situation just gets worse and worse." He got closer to Geus. His black pit eyes locked with Geus. "How'd you receive this information?"
"They infiltrated the school during this whole festival. One of the girl's quirks can attack you in your dreams; I fell right into it. And the one who appears to lead them told me himself."
"Kind I've reckless to just announce your plan to those with the abilities to destroy them." Aizawa commented. "But I'm guessing they thought of that."
"They believe that no matter if we stop them or confront them, It only fuels their ideals. By stopping the current generation of heros then killing the villains, they hope to change the next."
"As illogical as it is. Previous events so far have proven them more right than wrong. This partnership can prove more deadly than the last." The principal pondered. "Killing them, training them, or sacrificing them, will only aid the League than hurt them. If a forward team is able to intercept them or even tail them to the League, then"
"There is no need." A new man's voice caught everyone around them.
The group centered on an old man in the middle of the students. With two more heroes beside him, he acted as if nothing was wrong or weird with him there. A bald man with an orange handlebar mustache like he was from a biker gang smiled with his eyes heavily squinted in. A tight white shirt under a black leather vest and chaps, he stood the part in the least.
"Those youngsters won't find the League of Villains; they probably won't even be allowed into the city untouched." He answered calmly. his smile exposed a set of silver teeth for both his lower and upper jaw.
"Ectoplasm, Ishiyama, who is this man? And why would you let an unregistered civilian into the school after a security breech?" The principal moved closer to the man, an obvious sniff around the man shocked the man."
"Well, you picked it up mighty fine quick." He laughed. "Mr. Sansei is what strangers call me. "Or what the girl picked up a while ago, my boys call me Gaz, or Mr. Gaz works well, too."
Geus huffed and stood up from his bed. He stood a good amount of inches from his supposed relative. "American, loud, yeah, no wonder why my mother hated you. Guessing grandmother was?"
"Yep, and bless her soul. I can go on and on so you can learn about your history. But for now," He looked down to the principal. "Those boys will never find that League of Villains, as I barely even got out alive... and with my bike."
"And how do you know of their movements?" Aizawa asked. "Information hasn't been leaked out to the public; their moves are hidden to us with even our intelligence."
"If those children need anything without One For All carrying them around. It's money and a safe house. My old homestead has just that. Billions in their pockets and an entire time following their ideology."
"And what is this place?"
"Ahh," He winced in a playful jest. "I can't tell you that boy. I may have gotten out, but my mouth is just as sealed as the day I moved in there. I can't give intelligence, but I can give one thing." He placed his hand on Geus's head. "And that's to train my grandson."
"I'm sorry but for the safety and security of the school and the students inside. Letting someone unidentified inside to train even just one of the students is a hazard waiting to happen."
"Oh, my apologies, ask All Might. He can back me up."
Hours past, and a decision was decided. The teachers, Geus's grandfather and Geus, met up inside of UA's training facility. Ten meters apart, the two relatives stood across from each other. Each gave off a completely different tone in their stances. Mr. Gaz leaned on his back foot with his arms crossed. While Geus stood with his shoulder forward.
"You sure about this All Might?" Aizawa asked. "I never heard of this man before. And trusting him with a high-profile student is a risk UA can't lose on."
"He's from my time in America. His wife worked as an assistant for my personal support device scientist. He mostly stood in to test my tools as he stood match to match with a 10% OFA blast. And on more than one occurrence defended my team while I was out on patrol. He even came back to Japan with us all and got hired to test out any and all support devices and suits for heroes."
"Come on, son, bring everything you got." His stance changed, wide body spread with his arms out. His jaw unhinged for purple smoke to come out from his teeth. The two metal grills pushed out from his gums, followed his arms, and cuffed his knuckles. "I'll teach you how to control that power."
"He's incredibly strong and even more stubborn. He'll never spill what he knows or what secrets he holds beneath. Not even all his encounters with All For One, he never once exposed us."
Geus unleashed his power over his training gear. He pulled off the magnets of his mask and covered his arms with the smoke. In an instant, the smoke solidified into sleeves of spikes.
"So it's true, the future generations are stronger."
The old man aimed his arms to the ground. An explosion of power blasted behind him and jetted him into Geus. Before Geus could react, he managed to swerve behind the boy. Geus turned around with a swing cocked and ready. But a secondary blast followed before he swung. That metal grill ran up , destroyed Geus's armor, and jabbed him in the jaw. The man grabbed Geus's unprotected face and slammed him into the ground.
He curled his arms and brought both his club extensions around Geus's shoulders. His gas continued to spread and attack Geus's neck and head.
"So you learned how to control your breathing to allow more smoke over oxygen. But not how to surround your oxygen through your gas."
Geus struggled but couldn't break free. He sucked in all the air he could and blasted a sulfur bomb out between them. Yet, the attack didn't loosen the grip. The smoke cleared to reveal the man protected himself, a harden shell of a flat face over his own.
"Relax boy and listen to me. Focus on your lungs; you feel all the tunnels created inside them. You aren't fighting the two elements; you're combining them like an elemental bond! Just slow down till you feel it."
Geus closed his eyes; his other senses shut down till he could see or hear what was outside. But, his heart beat intensified a thousand fold. He felt each time his lungs folded in and out. The flow of oxygen and gas became clear, as one chamber closed another opened.
It felt painful to keep both chambers partially open at all times. While one was completely open, the other was left open enough for flow. The flow was felt, though, as if regular oxygen flowed. On the outside, his visible veins turned purple, a sign it worked.
"Good. Your power is strong but hollow inside. Any villain above a b-lister could break through it."
Geus's eyes opened to complete purple disks. The gas shot out of mouth like bullets and through Mr. Gaz's own extensions. Geus's smoke took over his strands and straight into his mouth. He was lifted off the ground and hung into the air like he was nothing more than a doll. Geus became lifted from the ground thanks to his own gas.
A third strand engulfed his arm and fired into Mr. Gaz's gut. He was able to break free a mere second before the attack landed. Mr. Gaz became ready again, his tools on his knuckles and punched through the gas.
"If it wasn't for my metal coating in my jaw, could've made into a mute." Mr. Gaz coughed and spat pure liquid sulfur into the ground. "That's a good thing." He rose his two fingers at Geus. "Now for two."
Geus's body exploded out gas, the unexpected move filled the arena with gas. In a minute, the stadium became clear again, the free flow gas faded out, but a ball of solid sulfur walls protected everybody.
Geus became exposed to the ground and heaved for air. Mr. Gaz fixed the scuffles of his mustache as he walked up to Geus. He placed a boot onto the boy's chest and pinned him to the ground. A pair of gas streamed flowed from his nostrils into Geus's.
"I can see we still need to work on the two to one flow of oxygen and your quirk's sulfur solution. But very good and powerful for a first attempt." He shrugged. "Or maybe it was addredellin."
Geus's body settled, able to return to a normal flow of breathing. "As much as it's a risk, under constant surveillance and tapped comms. He could be the only resource to really train him." The principal commented. "That doesn't mean he can be trusted just like that. I'll have him background checked and monitored by the captain of the police force."
"Now for two now that you can hear me." The intensity of your power directly correlates with your hormonal output. Like a mood ring, but real."
"But it really comes down to you, All Might." The principal placed all faith into the former titan. "Can this man really be trusted, especially with everything he's hiding from us? We already have one traitor in our school. Can we really try for another?"
Mr. Gaz cocked his head over at the audience of teachers. "Trust me? The boy is all I got left." His body shifted to them fully. "Place me behind bars between shifts or between training sessions. I'll work with your police and give all the efforts I can without breaking my word. Just don't make me lose my boy. The one thing I have left in this world is."
"Geus sat back up with his knees to his chest. The smile on his face couldn't help but break free. After all the years, there was finally a teacher who showed him the way. "I'm not stupid in knowing this man is nothing but a security risk at this point." Geus sighed and stood up. "But this man." He pointed as he walked up. "Is the only one that's going to make my quirk strong enough to stop this uprising."
"Well, All Might?"
"Take him in. Ask him about his teeth; it'll tell you everything about his bond."
Just as promised, Mr. Gaz turned himself into the police without a struggle. And for the first time in a while, Geus felt calm about the future. He returned to UA, and, around all those, he called friends. The struggle with this spin off of Iroh's gang and the League fell to the back of his mind.
Only spiritually, he felt free of the burdens that surrounded him.
