"Winter clothes?" Geus looked at his laid out costume. "I am a literal space heater. Cold only helps me."
"Well, look at like this!" Hatsume proudly yelled. "Being told I'm making a near professional use baby, the clunkiness of your old suit couldn't do! It needed to be slick, simple, sexy!"
"Please don't call your baby sexy." Geus shivered. "That's weird." He turned back at the old American biker known as his grandfather. "and he's here." he looked past him at the two officers by the door.
"I've also developed a other style of your mask. My babies are basically you!" She dropped on the table a slimmer style of gas mask. Scrapped down to the basics of a triangle base, with angled covers for the top of his nose and under jaw guard.
The new uniform itself was a fraction of the size of the villain style suit. A thin black jumpsuit slight outline bulges placed throughout the suit. A faint dark purple lines accents the suit in the same shape of his U.A. uniform. Only the "U" shape on top had two flexible silver metalic tubes sprung out. And on the back, a bright and shiny exo-spine mimicking the vertebrae of a human spine. Then a dozen or so thin nearly flat tubes ran from different points of the spine to the arms and legs.
"Even your own designer wasn't allowed to know what the details of your assignment was. So I made it to the best of my abilities." She explained as she inched ever so closer to the boy. "A thinner suit is going to absorb much less damage than your old ones. But the special weave material is more resistant to your heat by almost 40%. And thanks to Mr. Sansei over there the new alloy tubing with compression fittings allows your spinal column to hold your quirk and expell with velocity." At this point she was forehead to forehead with Geus.
"Don't even think about it son." He warned into Geus's ear. "Anyone talking about babies so much, wants them."
"Dear God make it stop." Geus slugged past and grabbed the suit from the table. It felt more stable than anticipated. Thin flexible plates in the generic locations and distinct extrusion for each line. "And this will keep me warm in the winter? I've had alot more focused training that the last time we met."
"As long as you keep your reserve tank full then the suit keeps you at regular body temps. And constant discharge produces a cold air back stream into it." She shoved Geus toward the door and continued to ramble along the way. "Now get moving! I got dozens of babies to finish up before your class scrim takes place."
The door slammed closed behind them, and not a second later the power tools started right back up. The walk back became more and more awkward as the days went by. Everyday this man acted more like a father than Geus's father ever had. And this includes those types of jokes and way too close inside remarks. And this walk was no different than any of the others.
"Remember, to hold back with your heat." He warned to Geus. "This test isn't about your strength of going all out. For them it may be, but for us it's about control." He nudged the boy and winked. "And I'll be watching the entire time, so of you go against your gal I'll know."
"My God I don't have a girl, I don't even know if I can manage such a thing. Or even if I should be focusing on that deal, I'm supposed to be a hero. Not a love struck child."
He couldn't help but laugh and slap Geus's back a little harder than planned. "This is where the two countries differ in youth. Back in America I was thinking about girls before entering high school." He flexed up his arms and curled in his biceps. "Grew these bad boys out before quirks made it easy."
"If grandma was here she'd slap you in the back of the head." Geus mumbled.
"You're damn right she would've. But since your father never put you through it, it's my job now."
Geus pushed open the doors to his class's locker room. A few of his classmates were there was well, some talked to another while a couple finished the touches of their new gear. Geus tossed his suit onto the bench and walked to his locker. He cocked his fished back and slammed it into the metal door. A large indent broke clean through to the back.
"Your anger is displaced but your strength is continuing to grow." Fumikage kept a close eye on Geus's arm. He took extensive insight on the purple veins before they turned back to normal.
"If it helps at all, I understand how you're feeling. My mother can be the same way around my friends, boundaries aren't a thing when it comes to them." Midoriya tried to play it off and cool the situation. "You should see this as part of your own growth as a person, shedding off that old stigma of yourself."
Geus closed his eyes and exhaled through his nose. "I know, but I don't even know his first name yet the bastard keeps acting like my friend. I-I should be enjoying this time but" Geus pulled off his shirt and shoved it through the hole. "This change isn't something I've expected to hit. Never thought I'd be talking about girls like." His eyes narrowed down to the two foot creature known as Mineta. "You guys think about dating with everything going on? A traitor, the League reaching unrecognizable power, you like any girls Midoriya."
Midoriya's entire face filled in with red and stammered back. "No, no, never! I'm pretty sure no girl even likes me like that, I mean why would they, with school, the League, and everything else you said!"
Geus huffed and smiled. "Guess the old bastard really does speak some truth." He gave a confused look at Fumikage. "No way you have though right?"
"Taming Dark Shadow has been my goal since the start. I'm not willing to put another person at risk like that until my goal is finished."
"Alright." Geus shoved his final sleeve into the new suit and quick connected the tubes to his mask. "Let's get this over with."
Iida came behind Gues and placed his hand on Geus's shoulder. "While you should have school and your training as your priorities... The personal life things will always come up. Even visiting my brother has proven to bring up those conversations."
Geus grinned; he quickly tossed his daily mask inside the locker and connected the other. "Let's just get out there."
Iida slapped Geus's back one more time. "And nice job ditching the whole villain looked. It'll help clarify you to the public eye."
"Yeah you totally look like a combat spy now! Way more manly than looking like one of the League!" Kaminari yelled out as he stormed out of the locker room.
Geus connected the second hose and made his way for the door. "I thought it looked cool." He whispered to himself.
The gang didn't look much different in those few months since Geus's return. As the winter months approached, all that changed were short sleeves to long. While most stuck with the single look with a few upgrades, other than Todoroki's complete change from say one. Geus was already on a third iteration of his suit.
"You should be a real threat during these months." Jiro caused Geus to slightly jump and stammer back. She couldn't help but laugh out at the boy. "Guess no matter how much you improve you're still Jump-us."
"Sorry." Geus tried to clear the situation with his own chuckle and awkward neck rub. "It's just been awhile since I really saw everybody suited up."
"Yeah other than Midoriya here your suit had the most dramatic change here, Geus." Ojiro pointed out. He pointed at Midoriya. "You even added something new again recently."
"Yep, it's really been able to increase what I've been able to do recently!" Midoriya ecstatically gripped the monster size gloves he wore. "It's actually already the second version. Hatsume even went as far as matching my current power level."
Kaminari snuck up behind Geus and smothered him from behind. "But nothing compared to this guy!"
"Go away!" Uraka randomly shouted out
Geus's body snapped up and froze; his eyes struck wide and static. Jiro laughed even harder. Her raspberry exploded out and clenched into her gut. "I bet this guy has Hatsume right in his pocket with how much she has been over his body and quirk! Huh, Geus? Am I right or am I right? "
"pfft. It's not far a guy like you has three women constantly crawling over him." Mineta scoffed at Geus. "t's quite obvious that Jiro is in l-" In an instant Jiro's laugh stopped and focused on the midget. Her jacks interrupted his tangent and sent thousands of jolts into his neck.
"Oy oy, quits the relaxed vibe coming from you guys."
The commotion paused to see the unfamiliar voice. To their surprise all of class 1-B made their way to them. "Now class A!" Monoma continued to scream out. "Today is the day we settle things between us, don't you think!" His back arched beyond a normal level. He snapped back up and violently stretched out a crumbled piece of paper. "Take a look at this questionnaire it's from right after the cultural festival!"
Gues pondered and removed Kaminari from his shoulders. "Oh yeah, I was so caught up in training that I forgot about the festival." He nudged Jiro's shoulder. "How did it go? Last I heard you guys made some progress for a last minute mash up."
"It went well if I say so myself, everyone was on key."
"Sorry I missed your singing, promise me you'll sing your heart out again for me."
Jiro's face turned bright red but Geus never noticed. His attention was straight ahead at the other class. A little too focused on the red head who kept her own attention lower than his. 'It really hasn't been that long since her confession.' Geus thought. 'And I never said my answer back.'
"I promise." Jiro whispered.
Geus looked down to Jiro; he held his breath and lower his mask to show his smile. "I'm holding you to it."
Geus looked back up in time to see Monoma choked out by Aizawa's special rope. "We're going to have a special guest this time." Class 1-B's teacher sounded as if he was in dispare.
"So don't do anything to embarrass yourselves." Aizawa said as he continued to keep tension on his scarf. "He's trying to transfer into the hero department."
"Shinso!" The entire classed appeared to shout out in shock.
"The boy from before," Geus whispered to himself. "'bout time the school recognized him."
"Shinso will be participating and spectating along side with all of you. As a scrimmage between class A and Class B to assess where everyone is at." The teacher for Class B explained. "And in Shinso's case, to help determine his possibility to transfer to one of our classes." His eyes seemed to lock onto Geus's though nobody seemed to notice it but the two. "And for the possibility for someone from class A to move down."
Geus didn't see this as a sly to him. It was a challenge, to really own up for his own mistakes and prove to the school. That in fact, he really is on their side and the strongest fit. And this time, Geus was given the opportunity without any setbacks.
"As Shinso would make an even squad for everyone, he'll go forward with a regular scrimmage for Class B. And randomly for a squad in Class A." Aizawa explained. He held out two boxes with corresponding labels. "Everyone will select from their class's box to determine the teams and opponents.
Geus and Shinso were set aside and drew came out with team 5 for Class A, and team 2 for class B. Which meant Geus also ended up in team 2. Luckily for him it was exactly the team he wanted to play against. Itsuka was his opponent. But also acted as a double sided sword.
Geus met up with his team when it came time to face each other. The objective was simple, capture everybody or capture the flag. For the most part neither side knew each other's powers. A under sighted mistake given that the schools didn't do much to integrate all the kids. But at the same time not much different from any other school.
Geus tighted his mask and finished up the last few calibrations to his suit. The suit's exoskeleton did its job and absorbed any of the access heat. It was light and didn't feel as though it would get in the way. Nor was it any weaker than the thicker and bulkier suits.
"That's quite the slim look, Geus!" Aoyama expelled into one of his stances, and held his hand in the air with a single finger pointed. "Absolutely dazzling!"
"I do agree to a point." Fumikage added on. "Now you look more as a hero than any anti-hero."
Geus let out a chuckle and playfully punched his friend in the shoulder. "Coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment... But for real, these guys know alot more about us than we do of them. Even with that battle in the beginning of the year, we're at the disadvantage."
"You got a plan to recommend?" Momo asked.
"Not really, my suit will blend pretty well inside this landscape. I'll do my best to sneak around and take out one of them and plant a trap." He looked around at his team. "Just be careful around Shinso. If you're not sure if the call is by one of us, don't answer it."
"Strategy wise, for you that's pretty well. Me, Yaoyorozu, and Aoyama will take the them head on. It would be best for Hagakure and Geus to take the flanks."
"Hagakure should keep possible a few paces back from me. I'll launch a signal if I get over run, and then she'll charge, if I don't encounter anyone midway through I'll rush through. We need a safeguard just in case if something goes wrong." Geus opened his hands and flooded a small stream of gas. His suit was full and ready to go.
The initial signal went off and both teams rushed forward. Just as they planed, three ran down the centers and the two took flanks. Though Geus didn't come up with the plan give them the best outcome. In reality it was out of his own desires and goals. He took his path slowly, he made sure to look over his surroundings for what they offered. He eventually found his spot, someone open gap for two people and enough clutter. He sat down and opened his valve system.
Gas slowly emerged and flowed around his surroundings. It took a minute and heard the war just feet from him. The walls became covered in his gas, similar to his first team battle but this time rock solid.
He created a hole for himself and jumped out to the battle. He witnessed the battle go down and his target was right where he wanted her. He prepped his hand back and watched the ninja look alive rush out. A small amount of gas bundled in his hand and blasted.
Itsuka couldn't react in time as Geus's body suddenly took up her vision. Her bare naked choked her and sent another blast forward. Both of them propelled back and into the fort. He landed his feet on the ground and hurled the woman to the back wall.
In the same moment the wall became soft and fell from the structure. And in the next hardened back up as soon as she impacted. Effectively pinned and trapped her with zero mobility. The walls around him began to point out and surround the both of them in spikes.
"I remember everything." Geus huffed. "The past, you standing up for me when I had nobody. You were there and you endured this truth in silence, why?" Kendo was about to open her mouth but Geus closed up her mouth with the gas. "I only wanted to capture you to ask that question. But right now, my friends need me. So use this time to think of your answer."
Geus winked at her and turned from the coffin. The exit closed behind him. For now his trap was set effectively but also left him at a disadvantage. More than half of his power was dedicated to hold that trap. The most he could do at this point was to act as a distraction.
"Should take out Shin-" He felt the break in his power immediately. The exoskeleton on his suit opened up and provided a shield to cover his back. The force unleashed from behind broke his shield and into the pipes in front of him.
He absorbed most of the impact and wrapped around inside the poles. He looked at the destruction in front of him. There stood Kendo with a devilish smirk and the bruises that his quirk bestowed upon her. Her fists were large and up in a boxer's defensive pose.
"Don't think you can take the high ground, after you're the one that couldn't open up to me."
