Geus stepped out of the mesh of poles and took his own stance. He needed a few minutes to fully recharge his suit. Against Kendo, when she's this angry it may require more than half a tank. Just in case if anything goes south.

"Okay but I do understand what happened and forgive you for that." Her eyes narrowed and fists clenched harder. "But not telling me any of this, I can't forgive you for."

"I tried to protect you!" Geus slid his foot back and secretly filled up pressure. "I'm sorry for my rash thinking. I was doing what I thought was right and God damn were you beautiful."

Geus's foot exploded and launched Geus forward. His foot flung up and kicked up Kendo's fist from her face. The gas filled up his fists and down to his elbows. He swung down to Kendo only for her opposite hand to catch it. She grabbed his foot and hurled him into the wall. She followed up with another and drove a series of fists into his gut.

"I'm not a weak little girl that needs protecting." She argued. She grabbed his weakened body and slammed him into the ground. "You never even came to see me after." Her face dropped to his. "And that's unforgivable."

"Well." The magnets in his mask released and dropped to his side. "hopefully you can forgive me for this." Geus opened his mouth and unleashed a solid pile of gas into Kendo's face.

It hardened around the girl's face and restricted her oxygen supply. Her fists softened and scrabbled around the trap. Geus pressed his fists into her gut and flipped their bodies around. His gas flowed out of his hands and pinned the girl's.

The struggles deffened to nothing. Geus released his hold and rolled off the girl. "I'm sorry, for everything." He mumbled. He rolled over and stood up. "Sorry our tango didn't last long enough that you didn't tell me. I could've used your help. All those years alone, I can't forgive that."

Geus reentered the battle to see the entire landscape to be covered in mushrooms. "did you really think I'd be done?" Kendo's voice rose up again.

Geus groaned. "Yeah I thought I knocked you out."

Geus felt a indifferent force encumber his body. He realized in that moment the mess up he encountered. Against his own advice, he fell right into Shinso's trap. Geus felt like he suddenly became trapped in the passenger seat of his own body. Forced to watch his body move without his consent.

"Take out Yaoyorozu." Shinso's voice spoke through Geus's head.

His body began to move on its own toward his own side. Though it didn't look human at all, it was sluggish and zombie like. A large blast impacted Geus's side and smashed him into the wall.

"He already did it to us once!" Aoyama yelled. "We know what to look for!"

Geus felt fine once again, a little sore from the blind side attack but nothing he couldn't handle. He looked around at the mushrooms that infested the landscape. The gas started to come out and create a blanket around the shrooms. Slowly the red and white color faded and crumbled to a brown mush. Geus released more of his flow and killed even more. "Fumikage! Take Aoyama and fly out of here! I can't promise my attack won't hurt you."

"How many of you are even left?"

"Just mushroom girl and the one that can hide in the shadows. Can you handle that?" Fumikage asked.

"Geus looked up and nodded. "I got you."

Once again he felt his body transport out of the driver's seat. His screams in frustration was unheard as Shinso once again took control of his body. His first action eliminated whatever smoke that Geus let out. And the next faced his teammate, Aoyama.

"Geus, you in there buddy?" Aoyama quietly panicked as he watched the lifeless body edge closer to him. Geus's body faced away from the boy and started to head for the opponent's capture gate. "Please forgive me!" a large spray planted on Geus's back and flung him toward another teammate.

Yaoyorozu grabbed Geus's body and shoved him inside her cannon. It fired instantly and launched Geus into the air. Just as the team calculated, Shinso was forced to release his quirk and juke to the side.

Geus regained conciousness and aimed his quirk toward Shinso's body. Shinso was fast but a bit reckless with his movements. Geus continued to build up the gas in his arm and chased after the newbie. His other teammates could handle the rest as all he needed to do was corner the boy.

But Shinso didn't look frightened or confident as his adjustments just went more careless. He was angry, mad at his loss of the situation. Geus launched his built up gas to one side and circled wide. He had no choice but to stop in the middle of tue entrantment and counter. The scarf around his neck launched for Geus's arm and cut off the circulation of gas.

Geus twisted his wrist and yanked the smaller foe towards him. Both the breathers in his mask opened up and released the stored gas. It captured around his face and trapped him in the air. Geus hesitated but threw him into the ground and struck Shinso right in the gut.

"That's the round!" The Class B teacher announced. "A full 5-0 sweep by Class A against Class B in round 2!"

Geus released his gas and offered a hand to Shinso. He was a bit reluctant but accepted the grasp and got pulled up. "You did good in there, I'm a bit of an idiot but I won't fret that against your talent."

Shinso refused eye contact with Geus. "I made plenty of errors that got me spotted and failed."

"That's true but you're going against Class A, we aren't exactly cake walks for a newbie. Might need a few support items to neutralize your opponents and some martial art fighting but you did well."

"I'll take the consideration into thought." He shoved off Geus and moved faster outside arena.

"Hey, Geus!" Fumikage called Geus right after the exchange and caught up next to his friend. "You did well on your own one on one exchange. But I think you missed the main concept of the challenge."

Geus nervously chuckled and started to crack his fingers with one hand. "Yeah thats on me. I just had to release some tension that was building. Not in a malicious way or anything!"

"I saw the trap you ensnared out there. It was mighty impressive to see how far you've come. But the type of trap you let out without knowing anyone's abilities was dangerous. If I wasn't the one to face Kuroiro and you did, it would've been a game ender for you."

"I know it was a reckless move but my plan still worked, I took out their leader as we discovered no flankers. Y'all were able to learn the center the fight and Hagakure was able to identify Shinso." Geus spun around to Fumikage as the continued to walk off. "I got a little greedy out there but a win is still a win. Besides my talent isn't built for a main cannon. I'm like on of those side swivel things on pirate ships to just target weak point and men."

Fumikage sighed. "I'm not arguing about results. As your friend I'm looking out for your future in hero agencies."

Geus turned back around to hide his anger. "Yeah, I get it already."

"I guess since the arena is once again completely destroyed we'll take a 15 minute break to set off the next round." Aizawa announced out.

"My boy!" Geus's grandfather's arms latched around his grandson and bear hugged him into the air. "All you needed was the right teacher for you to learn how to use your quirk." He sat the boy back down and planted his hand ontop of Geus's head.

"My reaction to my own quirk's destruction is below what I want it to be but, I'll learn."

"Don't focus on the negatives boy. You won your face offs... And besides," his eyes turned serious. "Now you understand the importance and controlling your emotions and breathing." His hand shifted out his pointer finger and pressed into Geus's heart. "You did right, you inflicted damage without the torment of your true power."

Geus genuinely smile and understood that realization. He didn't even do it consciously, it was entirely natural for his body. Not a single burn scar, no melted flesh. He grabbed Geus's head and pulled him in for another hug.

"Go on." He pushed Geus up the path towards the school. "Take a shower and come back for your friend's bouts. They saw yours so it's only fair you stay back and watch theirs."

"Of course, sir."

His mind felt clear in the steam filled shower. All the torture brought on by Chisaki, the trials of error of the school. Not only his body became more naturally resistant against his quirk bit so was his mentality. Even now in the shower he didn't need any resistant shower to not be affected by his quirk.

Maybe now things are gunna be different for him. It wasn't an eternity that he could go without his mask. But any social gathering he could finally show his face to those he held dear. Even the erraticated scar his hand once bore no longer tormented him. Just one step closer to a normal lifestyle.

He twisted off the water and stepped out of the shower. A knock came from the locker room door. Geus quickly threw on a towel and rushed to the door, thinking it must've just been a teacher not allowed in here. To his surprise it was Kendo and all that anxiety rushed back in.

"Just because you got the jump on me this time doesn't mean you are the better of us." Kendo joked.

Geus noticed her face was slightly red and defused to lower her head past his chin. Kendo intercepted his look differently than how Geus saw the situation. He was essentially almost naked in front of his friend, and a girl in that matter. But she saw

"Do you really hate me? Or was that display out there just some psychological warfare?" she asked. Her face looked as if she was over the position he was in.

"I don't hate you. You're my best friend I could have. Especially one I know that has my back as much as I have yours." Geus went for his mask but realized he never grabbed it, his lips, his teeth, everything was exposed. It didn't cause more anxiety in the situation but relaxed him. He smiled and widened it up to her. "Hell, I'm not even wearing my mask and I feel as though you don't fear it and neither do I."

"Then why were you saying all those things back there." Her arm gasped her other, she didn't look at his face but instead the ground.

"Because I needed to tell you how I feel. I wasn't just going to blind side you one day with how I felt in the middle of a school day." Geus pressed his finger and pushed her head up to his eye line. "I'm not going to hold it against you, you had your reasons and your societal struggles. But not once in thst time did you write to me or visited me." His hand dropped to his side. "That's the best answer I can give you. I'll love you with all my heart but I'm not ready to move on from that."

Kendo gained back some of her composure and smiled back. "Just don't make things awkward at tonight's get together."

Geus turned instantly to deeply focused into Kendo's eyes. "What get together?"

"Yaoyorozu wants to get our two classes tonight before lights off. We kind've realized that even as we're in the same area of the school, we never really hang out as a team."

Geus relaxed and slumped into the back wall. "I promise."

Kendo jumped into Geus, her head against his shoulders and her arms right there with her. "And I promise you one day I'll make it up to you." Her head shifted closer to his ear. "You should also put on some pants before you open doors. Don't want one of the teachers writes you up or expels you."

She jumped back and tried to act cute as she walked backwards to the corridor. "You came to me! This is the men's locker room anyways!" Geus shouted out.

Her head peaked out of the corner and stuck her tongue to him. "I don't know, a strong Class A hero who took out his Class B underling is more likely."

Geus rolled his eyes and headed back inside the locker room. He sucked in all he could and slowly released out. "Shit."

The party wasn't made to last long, school still had to commence the next day. The students didn't allow such a constraint to ruin anything. Food was laid out, drinks poured, and plenty of conversation was had. Except for Monoma that is.

"It's to be expected that the lowest seat in Class A would use such cowardly tactics to keep his spot!" He shouted loud enough to echo through the room.

Every word that he would shout with such absurd movements only made Geus laugh. He reached for his mask and placed the mask on the coffee table. "For today none of your remarks will bother me." Geus leaned back and extended his arms out the couch. "They'll only make me laugh."

"No way that's awesome!" Kirishima shouted out, his body slid out of nowhere and straight to the middle of the table. "Now thats what I'm talking about! You're finally maxing out your quirk!"

A hand patted on Geus's shoulder. "Congratulations my friend." Fumikage nodded.

Geus made eye contact with Jiro and smiled. "I had a few people guiding me right."

"You told your therapist yet?" Midoriya asked as he made his way to the group.

Geus scratched his chin and looked into the sky. "I'm not even going to lie, she really hasn't been on my mind. Since ya'know, it's not mandatory anymore."

"Should still let her know, this is really progress."

"Look at you Mr. Humble." Geus pointed and laughed. "Second quirk over here."

With that Geus was able to move most of the conversation over and sneak away with the mask. He walked over to the kitchen; dropped his mask on the counter, and opened the fridge. He was frozen in the cold drifts, his hand shook and wouldn't stop. His eyes closed and controlled his breathing.

"Hey." Jiro's voice broke through along with a soft hand on his. "One step at a time, Jumpus."

"I chose you." His voice cracked. "I don't know what it means but I chose you."

Geus grabbed the water and sprung up. His face hid a pit of fear and anxiety. Only he hoped that the smile and his teeth didn't reveal it to her. Her instant red face and indirect eye contact said it worked.

"Well. That makes two of us." She reached in the fridge and grabbed another water.

"Hey, Geus how's those magnets working?" They both snapped over to the boy with a bandana. "Sorry didn't mean to interupt anything. I just couldn't like the support class beat me in my own game, that's all."

Geus reached for his mask and tossed it to him. "It's been a while. You'll have to tell me if that's still your design."

The guy flipped the mask over and completely switched to a face of disgust. "Leave it to Hatsume to one up one of us." He tossed the mask back and awkwardly rubbed the back of his head. "She has the opportunity like Shinso if she was really up for it." He twisted around and quietly walked away.

"You won't be mad at me if I leave again will you?"

Jiro's head snapped into his eyes. "I-We just got you back, what do you mean you're leaving again."

Geus leaned on the counter and took a sip of water. "It's just me speculating but, I don't think it's just Shinso's oppo

lrtunity for a seat. Things... are happening and it may require me to switch seats with him, I'll go to general studies and he'll become the hero."

She moved to his side and leaned on the same counter. "As long as you're not leaving the school then I can give you that leeway."

"It's just me worrying." Geus looked out to the two classes that he finally got to know. 'If my grandfather is really satisfied with my performance, then I'm really leaving.' He gulped.

"I'll still miss you as a classmate if you leave. All of us will, There's no such thing as replacing a friend. If you think that then you and we never saw each other as a friend. And everyone here would feel the same." Jiro looked down into her water.

Geus's hand slid down the counter and stopped at Jiro's backside. He didn't grab her but to brush his shoulder on hers was enough. "Even if I lose my spot here. I'll still fight to be by your guys side again. And the scars I once bore will hold that promise forever."
