Lily
Donna is proud of Harvey. She has always felt that way. Every little step he has taken in his professional and personal life has filled her with pride. She has always been his number one fan, rooting for him in the front row.
But when they travel to Boston to visit Lily and she sees them interact as mother and son, Donna feels her heart will burst with pride. She knows more than anyone how hard Harvey has struggled to get there. She knows how much he has suffered in silence and how much that pain has prevented him from dealing with emotions adequately.
So when they arrive and she sees them hug as they greet each other, Donna's heart warms.
Every time Harvey says "mom" to Lily with a smile, she can't help but smile too and when Harvey enjoys the food his mother has prepared for him, she enjoys it too.
When Lily asks how things are going and Harvey tells her that he has never been happier now that he shares his life with Donna, and Donna hears him from the other side of the door, a happy tear rolls down her cheek.
"It's one thing for you to listen to my private conversations at the office, but here too, Donna?" Harvey asks, seeing a lock of red hair peeking out, his tone meant to be angry, but she knows he's actually holding back a laugh.
"I'm sorry," she says, a little embarrassed, not for him, but for Lily, as she walks into the kitchen. Harvey wraps his arm around her shoulders to pull her closer to him. "I can't help it," she giggles.
"Luckily you came in when I started saying nice things about you," he taunts her.
"So you've said bad things about me?" she playfully snorts.
Lily laughs tenderly, seeing them interact like that. "Believe me, Donna, this man can't say anything bad about you. Not a one thing. You have him at your feet," she tells her daughter-in-law and winks at her.
"Yeah, ever since the night I met him," Donna retorts with a smile and kisses his cheek.
"I guess this is the place where I get spanked by two women at once. This is too much," he teases and pours himself some more wine. "I'll need something stronger to withstand it."
"Great, then I can drink this wine," Donna tells him and takes the glass from his hand just as he was about to drink.
Lily, who is making lasagna for her son, says under her breath with a giggle, "Whipped."
Donna laughs and takes a sip of wine. "I'm very proud of you, Harvey," Donna tells Harvey, mouthing the words, and he gives her one of those smiles that crinkle the corners of his eyes, winning her over every time.
