New York
When Harvey gets home, Donna wipes away more tears and tries to put a smile on her face. Of course, she fails. Harvey knows her too well, and the moment their gazes meet, he knows something is wrong.
"Were you crying because you miss me?" he says, trying to make her laugh, and succeeds, although Donna's laugh is weak.
"You're so dumb," she sniffs.
"Hey," he mutters, sitting down next to her. "What's wrong?" he asks worriedly, wiping away a tear with his thumb.
"Nothing serious, don't worry," she replies, trying to brush it off.
"Donna," he tells her fondly, landing his hand on her thigh. "You can tell me."
She exhales deeply. "I miss New York," she murmurs, wiping away her tears with the back of her hand, and at that moment, Harvey's eyes look scared. "Don't get me wrong, I'm happy here with you. I love the life we're building... But I miss the guys, you know? The same thing happened to me when Rachel and Mike came here, but I don't know. I wish I had Lucy closer. I miss the girls, Louis."
Harvey nods and takes her hand. "If you miss Louis, we can adopt a cat," he says, completely serious, giving her a kiss on her knuckles, and Donna bursts out laughing, causing her to fall completely against the couch.
"Oh my god, you can't be that stupid!" she says between laughs.
"I may be stupid, but I make my wife laugh when she needs it," he tells her with such a cocky expression that Donna could punch him right in the face.
"Yeah, you're good at it," she answers him with a warm smile.
"It's not long until the next holiday. We'll spend them in New York. Do you think it's a good plan?"
She smiles at him, nodding. "An excellent plan, thanks, Harvey."
"Hey... Come here," he says, patting his thighs, and she nods, then sits there, her hands around his neck, Harvey's arms around her waist. "I'd go anywhere that makes you happy," he tells her with a puppy-dog face.
A huge smile spreads across Donna's lips. "Awww, who told you that you were a tough man, Spec?" she murmurs against his lips, but Harvey doesn't let her finish; kissing her is a must.
