Chapter 1

Abbey Stonem is a partier, if she hears about a party she will be there. She drinks, smokes, does drugs, anything under the stereotype of a 'party girl' is what Abbey is. She didn't care about consequences and has actually ended up in a cell overnight on many occasions for disturbing the public. To be honest, no party really starts until Abbey turns up. She was a loud and funny drunk, doing stupid things like letting her friends tattoo her. Her friend's tattoos always seem to turn out nicely though, which Abbey was glad about.

Now that brings us to today, around one in the morning kitty and three of her friends got kicked out a house party for accidentally breaking a lamp (Abbey was fighting someone while the others cheered her on) so they decided to go to the beach since they snuck out a few bottles of vodka and the beaches in Florida where empty at night. They were playing truth or dare while smoking and drinking. One thing led to another and Abbey stripped down and ran along the sand.

She only realized how much of a bad idea it was when she got back to where her friends were sitting. They had disappeared and left her with all the alcohol and drugs. She slipped on her very short dress quickly since she heard cop cars getting close. She hid everything in her backpack and started walking down the beach pretending as if nothing had happened; however the cops caught her and took her in for a search. They found the booze and drugs and she had to spend another night in a cell.

In the morning her father came to pick her up, to say he was angry was an understatement. He was fuming. The second they were in the car it was a heavy tension and thick silence except the cars tires on the roads below them. Once they got to Abbey's house he practically pushed her through the door.

"What the fuck is wrong with you. That's the third time this summer we had to get you from the same place, Abbey." He shouted.

"I'm sorry, they weren't even mine. The girls ditched me with them all." Abbey pouted trying to get her dad to believe her.

"I called Aunt Anthea, you're going to be staying with her for a while. I know you've been talking to Elizabeth so you'll be fine. I've packed some of your stuff, go pack the rest. You're leaving tonight and will be there in the morning." Her dad spat. Abbey gulped and walked upstairs, she knew it was a bad idea yet still did it. She packed everything she thought she would need and more before taking a quick nap. Her dad called her down after around four hours saying they were going to the airport.

She got up and changed into black sweats and a comfy black cropped top, she tied her hair into a high ponytail and slid on her trainers. Abbey grabbed her suitcase and carried on before going downstairs. They drove in silence, neither daring to talk. It was hard for them both since for the longest time it had been just the two of them and now they were both separating too.

After a long twelve hour flight on her own Abbey got off the plane and headed to baggage claim. She had been to Bristol a few times to see her family but the last time was a year ago. After a long twelve hour flight on her own Abbey got off the plane and headed to baggage claim. She had been to Bristol a few times to see her family but the last time was a year ago. After she grabbed her bags she headed out front to where (hopefully her aunt, uncle and cousin) would be waiting.

They were.

And as soon as the two Stonem girls saw one another they tackled each other to the ground in a hug. Both laughing their heads off. Her Uncle Jim put her bags in the car and said hello to the girl once Effy left her alone. The four all headed back to the Stonem household after a long reconnection, she was staying in the spare room since Tony's room was somewhat like Effy's safe place. After Abbey unpacked (with Effy's help) the two collapsed backwards onto the soft double bed.

"So what did you do to send him over the edge?" Effy asked, turning to face her cousins.

"Don't laugh." Abbey chuckled herself as she turned on her side "I ran down the beach naked. It was one in the morning. I didn't think the cops would be out."

"Fucking hell Abbey, your mental." Effy laughed.

"Oh, and my dickhead friends ditched me with all the alcohol and drugs." Abbey shrugged.

"I never did like them." Effy started with a smile. "Anyway, college tomorrow, wanna get pissed?"

"When did I ever say no to a drink Ef?" The younger of the two (Abbey) asked.

"True." Effy laughed and grabbed two small bottles of vodka from her room. For the rest of the night the girls stayed up giggling and making jokes quietly so as to not wake up the adults but obviously one of the two would let out a loud laugh and wince at the sudden loud noise.

To Be Continued…

- So this is a bit of Abbey's background story. She's care free and would much rather party than let her thoughts take over her mind. Something I didn't mention before is that Abbey also experiences anxiety and depression as well as having anger issues.
