The next day Sirius was back but he had Professor Lupin with him.
"Professor!" Ginny said shocked jumping to her feet to say hello to him.
Sirius started laughing, "I'm sorry I just can't see you as a professor mooney." He laughed, then paused, "or maybe I can." He considered clearly now lost in thoughts.
Remus ignored Sirius, "Just call me Remus." He said kindly to Ginny, "I've been away on order business but I'm staying with Sirius so I thought it right if I met the new members of the house."
Before Ginny could speak Sirius laughed again and clipped Remus on the back, "Me, Remus and James, Harry's dad, were best mates in school. I told him Joey looks exactly like Harry when he was newborn and he's been dying to see."
"Of course." Ginny said still feeling a bit nervous around her old Professor. She walked over and got Joey first. After introductions were done Sirius and Remus sat down on the sofa in her room and Ginny sat on the edge of her bed. She wasn't looking at Sirius and Remus but at Layla and Joey in their arms.
"Remus is going to help me get Harry." Sirius told Ginny, "we are going to try to talk to Dumbledore, he'll be more likely to listen to moony than to me. But if we aren't successful by the end of the week we will go get him ourselves."
The idea that Harry was going to be there soon made Ginny feel equally nervous and hopeful.
They spent almost an hour trying to brainstorm the safest way to break Harry out of his Aunts and Uncles.
Joey started crying where he sat in Sirius' arms. Ginny went to him hoping he needed his nappy changed and not fed. She wasn't going to feed him infront of Sirius and Remus but she didn't want to kick them out yet.
She was relieved by the smell coming from him and walked him over to the changing station Dotty had set up.
"Let me mistress." Dotty said suddenly appearing, "you have guests." She looked over at Sirius and Remus.
"That's ok." She smiled at Dotty, she'd already gotten started, "We were just trying to figure out how to get Harry here."
"If you show me where Master is, Dotty can bring him." Dotty said, she still sounded upset that she didn't know where Harry was.
"That's actually a good idea Dotty." Sirius grinned, "if I travel to Private Drive with Dotty then she can bring him back and I can come back by myself." He stood to his feet like he was ready to go right now.
"We have to at least try to talk to Dumbledore first." Remus reminded Sirius kindly. It sounded like he was used to Sirius jumping straight into action.
"Right." Sirius nodded, "lets do that now." He prompted.
Remus chuckled a little but stood to his feet. Dotty rushed over to take Layla from him.
"Will you be ok Ginny?" Remus asked, "Do you want us to send anyone in?"
"Ill be fine." Ginny smiled at him, "besides I've got Dotty." She smiled now at the elf.
At this Dotty beamed, "Dotty is very happy to serve mistress." Dotty said quickly.
"I'm happy to have you." Ginny said to Dotty and the two men left the room.
Ginny didn't hear from Sirius or Remus for the rest of the day, she didn't ask anyone about them either. She knew they'd come to her once they knew what they were doing.
That evening there was a knock on her door.
"Come in!" She called thinking it must be Fred and George or her father, her mother had been in and out all day and had not knocked once.
Ron sheepishly stepped into the room. "Sorry I didn't come before." Was the first thing he said.
Ginny's heart swelled at the sight of him standing sheepishly by the door. Even though Ron was over a year older than her she viewed him as a little brother. She knew it took him time to come around to new situations and she was happy he was here now.
"Come meet your niece and nephew." She prompted him to sit on the bed next to her. Both the babies were laid out in front of her, she had just finished feeding them and they were now sleeping happily.
Ginny and Ron chatted for hours. There was a weight lifted off Ginny that she didn't know was there now that she had Ron. Eventually Ginny started to yawn so bad that Ron left her. As he was leaving he told her that Hermione was coming tomorrow, earlier than planned.
Ginny had a rough night. Dotty helped her when both the babies were awake at the same time. Dotty kept telling her to go back to bed when they only had one baby awake at a time but Ginny refused. She was desperate to prove to herself that she was the best mother she could be.
At 6 o'clock Ginny realised she wasn't going to get much more sleep and went to shower and get changed.
When she was back from her shower Dotty got her breakfast while she fed Layla.
It was half 10 when Hermione came running into her room, followed closely by Ron.
"I can't believe it!" Hermione said stopping in her tracks when she say Ginny with Joey in her arms, "Ron told me everything."
Ginny sat with Hermione and Ron for the next few hours. Hermione seemed much more interested in figuring out the mystery of why the babies were here and where they came from than seeing the babies. Despite her best efforts she wasn't able to figure it out.
In early afternoon, after Mrs Weasley had brought the three of them lunch in Ginny rooms Sirius turned up looking excited.
"Ginny!' He said, he faltered slightly when he saw Ron and Hermione but then seemed to realise he could trust them, "We're going to get Harry tonight. Dumbledore wants to keep him at the Dursley's all summer."
Ginny nodded, now that she knew Harry was coming she felt more nervous than anything. She couldn't figure out who she was more nervous for, herself or her children.
Sirius was still talking, "Remus is going to go instead of me." He said, unable to keep all the bitterness out of his tone, "and we'll need Dotty if that's ok?"
"Of course." Ginny said snapping herself out of her thoughts. She called for Dotty and told her to go with Sirius and discuss the plan with Remus.
The sight of Dotty seemed to clue Hermione in that Ginny and Harry had a house elf.
"I hope you're treating her right." Hermione said to Ginny once Dotty left, she had learnt not to talk about elf rights in front of elves as they only got upset.
"For goodness sake Hermione!" Ron said standing up, "I can not listen to you talk about elves for one more second. I'm going to get more food." He left.
"You should be paying her and giving her holidays and days off." Hermione started lecturing Ginny.
"Hermione!" Ginny cut her off, "I am trying to give her as little work as possible but she really is happier when she has something to do. Trust me."
Hermione pursed her lips but decided to change the subject, "are you nervous about seeing Harry? How do you think he's going to react?"
Ginny thought for a second, "I have no idea how he is going to act and yeah I'm a bit nervous." She answered honestly, "How do you think he's going to react?" She fired back at Hermione.
They spent the next couple hours discussing how Harry would react and how Ginny was going to handle each possible scenario.
