Freedom was all he ever wanted. If he had to die, go to a completely different world and join the government to destroy it from the inside, so be it. He'll do what is necessary. Doesn't mean he won't make a couple of insanely lucky friends in the process.

'So calm…'

"Wa- u-!"

'So calm….'

"ke- up-!"

'and 𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡..'

"Wake up!"

'Why? I don't wanna….'

His eyes blinked open to the sight of his best and only friend, Hannah, she's wearing her straight, waist length, light brown hair in a tight high ponytail. Her bright purple skirt swaying with her movements, the flowers gracefully going with it and the fabric hugging her curves perfectly. She is undoubtedly beautiful.

"Finally! Come on, Pyrobitch." She whined using that godforsaken nickname. "Class is over, it's now lunch and all you did is sleep."

"'m comin'..." The boy slurred back, but didn't budge 'till he yawned and sighed.

He got up, slightly stumbling on his way, barely noting them being the last that left the room and they walked out the door to the overly crowded hallway.

"Wanna go to the spot? We haven't gone for a while and I feel like we could both agree it's too crowded." He suggested.

They have a spot on the roof where they hang out; it's pretty secluded, mostly because nobody thinks they're allowed up there but really, the teachers don't care.

"You go first, I'll catch up later. I've got to go hand in the few permission forms for band. I know you already gave your own." She didn't even wait for a response and walked away.

"... Alright.. I guess…" The now mentally defeated kid responded with a noticeable amount of disappointment.

'What's the point of waking me if you're only going to ditch me like last time…'

They've been friends since childhood. Before Hannah got a glow up and started looking as beautiful as she is. They've known each other so long they're pretty much siblings. They fight. But make it up to each other no matter what.

He walked down the hall, passing students doing stupid stuff as usual, because really, when are they not. Then he started walking up the stairs to the 3rd floor from the bottom, then he continued to the 4th then down the hall, through a door, and outside, then he maneuvered through a couple tight spaces. "Right, left… straight," he mumbled to himself, incoherently 'left, right, straight' he continued in his head.

They usually hang out in the corner of the roof, they brought a tarp for cover and a few things for entertainment in their first year at the school and kept bringing stuff up there since. He and Hannah had agreed to leave some stuff for the next people that came in future years and take everything else they wanted to keep.

Neither Hannah nor him were bothered by the spot, there was no need to be. It was great for quiet and had an amazing view… If you didn't count all the trash EVERYWHERE! You couldn't even 'people watch' properly because of being so high up.

The only real problem was not falling off the edge. It was a really high building and nobody could survive a fall from that height… Unless maybe you're from one of those animes with superpowers; those guys are always stupid strong.

He was brought out of his thoughts by the sight of all his and Hannah's stuff destroyed, and it wasn't the type of destruction that wind could do, but rather… humans.

He started running towards it but he was probably too close to the edge because…

"AH! SHIT!" He yelled out before tripping over his own goddamn feet an uncomfortably short amount of space away from the edge. But as soon as he was about to catch himself at the edge of the roof, his lighter just had to fall out of his breast pocket and started falling.

He stumbled on trying to catch them, however, every time he touched them, they went further and further, and just about anyone could swear he was just about to catch them; they were right at his fingertips. But people would later guess he leaned too far because… well…

He fell.

"Shit."

He could see the gravel coming closer and closer. He could see his lighter just barely in his grasp and people scurrying before his eyes. They started screaming and panicking. He was terrified too. Why the hell shouldn't he be.

"Holy shit! I'm gonna die!"

He didn't even notice he was grinning, adrenaline rushing. But he must be crazy because he just casually started thinking off topic. He was sure the panic and fear was influencing him quite a bit, but he didn't care. He's terrified but still excited to find out what's going to happen. He knows he's going to die. No doubt. But his parents are dead, not that they were all that great to begin with. His only present family is Hannah, all his other relatives are super successful, his siblings are all abroad taking internships with their high end desired company and though he is very grateful to Hannah, she could live without him.

They all could.

The fluffy haired boy was thinking of how boring he was; how pointless his life was. He remembers every single time he had a chance to do something with his life. He only just avoided doing it. He wished he had done more but through his life, he was stuck in an endless cycle of:

Wake up

Go to school

Sleep

Go home

Try getting motivation to live

Fail

Sleep

With the occasional homework or hygiene things. His thoughts were most likely the equivalent of 'your life flashing before your eyes.'

He remembered all those fanfics where people go to anime. That would be awesome. If he had a choice to go to an anime, like all those fan fictions, He'd say any anime that wouldn't have him dead in a matter of seconds, like a sports anime or an anime that automatically makes him OP so he doesn't die. Again. Stupid thoughts and probably not the time. Though-

He was once again brought out of his musings by a sudden exclamation of… something… it was obscured by the screaming, but he did notice it was Hannah. She probably didn't expect to see him falling, but to the boy, it was more surprising she could run wearing those heels, who even wears heels to school!

Nobody did, other than the teachers. Not even him. Obviously.

He was probably falling for only a few seconds. It felt like an eternity to him though.

He spoke to them all, some for the first time ever, but alas for the last time he spoke. In this world at least.

"Bye!"

He wondered if they heard him, not much time to ponder, however. Because suddenly, there was the ground next to his head. A sharp pain all throughout his body. Then…

Nothing.

Crazy what could happen in only around 10 minutes.

O-O

I know this chapter was rather short (in my opinion) but I've never written any books or fan fictions before, making this my first and I guess I'm having a slow start and first chapter.

I have backup fan fictions prepared if this one doesn't quite work out for me.

He has a name prepared too but it won't be mentioned for awhile. No real reason for that other that I felt like it… oh well. The narrator or the perspective this is in might be switched or told… I haven't figured it out yet. Oops.

Anyway.. I do hope to improve on this and make the chapters longer and more fun to read as I progress.

This might seem weird or I might one day just randomly lose motivation to write and give up, however, I plan on using this as a practice for writing and then rewrite it later to make more sense.

Please tell me if you don't like something I wrote, if I'm making it go by too fast, too slow, too many details, not enough detail, anything. When I say anything, I mean don't just tell me you don't like it and not tell me what's wrong so I can improve.

My updates might be seriously non consistent but trust me I will try to update at least once a month.

Sorry if I unintentionally copy part of another fan fiction because that could turn really bad, really fast. So tell me if I do. Some parts might be inspired by other fan fictions but not copied.

Thank you for reading and have a good remainder of your day.
