Shuang Yun found the pair of females in the room to be confusing to say the least. Neither were demanding, and the purple eyed one was somewhat shy, a rare trait in his opinion. The other female, the one with brown eyes acted politely towards her mate and Bai Di who had chosen to court her. He hadn't cared to learn their names, and because both had brown hair it left him telling them apart by eye color.

"Elder, would you say there will be no more problems from this snake-male?"

Langzhu nodded. "It seems to have only been a misunderstanding in the first place. Do you wish to inquire more?"

Shuang Yun paused in thought. It was rare for young females to be found alone. Had the purple eyed one been separated from her family group? Then there was the slightly similar appearance of the two, something in their eyes and face shape. Maybe they were distantly related or from the same beast-kin type? Knowing he had waited long enough to respond, he shook his head. "No. I have no interest in these females."

By the look on Langzhu's face Chiaki gathered that the reply had a double meaning. The older male looked sad and a bit exasperated. There was a story there, she was sure. Now was not the time to pry though and to be honest if she showed much curiosity towards the young leader of this tribe it would likely be taken wrong.

Shuang Yun left the building. Langzhu sighed loudly once he was gone. "That-" He was about to cuss the silver haired male but stopped himself, it wasn't proper language to use in-front of pretty females. "Never mind it. Here let me mix you both up a little warming broth." He quickly changed the subject.

o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o.o

Chiaki woke the next morning to the sounds of Huanhuan and Langzhu talking. After a moment the words became clear and she found that the were talking about all the healing herbs that the older white haired male used in his healing.

"You have an amazing memory!" Langzhu complemented.

"Oh, no really, it's nothing too hard." Huanhuan was replying.

"If only I could find a young male in the pack with as much smarts as you, my dear. An apprentice healer. I'm not as young as I once was." Langzhu's ears twitched. "Ah, my other patient is awake." He turned to Chiaki. "Good morning young female."

"Good morning, healer Langzhu." Chiaki greeted, suddenly feeling like a small child speaking to their teacher.

"How are you feeling?" The older male asked as he stood and walked over to his charge.

"No pain. No anything really. It's like evrything my body went through yesterday didn't happen."

"That would be the miracle of the gem your mate gave you." He placed a hand gently on her head. "Your temperature is also normal. I believe taking a walk around the village would be doable, but please return here if you feel any differently than now."

Chiaki nodded and began to rise from the bed, only to realize she still wore no clothing. Running out to Curtis in the nude yesterday was one thing, wandering around a village full of people naked was an entirely different matter. She glanced around, eyes landing on Huanhuan who when she'd last seen her had also been without clothing. Now the other wore a long poncho like leather shirt, long enough to cover her thighs.

"Oh! Yes of course, clothing." Langzhu said. He grabbed a piece of leather from where it had been folded at the edge of Chiaki's bed. "Your mate said to give you this if he wasn't here when you woke."

Chiaki took the offered item. Immediately she recognized Curtis' bright red hair had been used for the stitching. The leather though was not the one from the wild boar the night before, that would take days to properly treat before it could be used. The style was very different than the outfit worn by Huanhuan. It was perhaps as long, something that would fall mid-thigh on Chiaki, but tailored to fit her shape. The top part was sleeveless with wide straps that would sit on her shoulders and had a 'V' shaped head opening. "Thank you."

Langzhu waved his hand towards her. "Thank your mate, he made it for you early this morning as soon as he could find someone willing to trade for the leather." With a nod the male left the room, allowing Chiaki to dress.

Chiaki found that Curtis had once again been able to correctly guess her body size and shape, back on Earth he would have been a Master Tailor she was sure of it. Now dressed she smiled over at Huanhuan. "Any luck with the connection?"

The other frowned and shook her head. "I wish I could do it, but-" She slowed to a stop as her gaze shifted to unseeing and far away.

"Huanhuan?" Chiaki asked, making her way over to the other. She caught a soft mumble of words she couldn't make out, then a rush of a blue glow cascaded down the younger woman's body. Chiaki stopped in realization. "It's okay Huanhuan, I know it's confusing..."

It seemed like forever, but lasted only a mere few seconds, the Huanhuan took a sudden deep shuddering breath and blinked back to reality. It really was something to see, no wonder Qianhuang, Curtis, and Kimba had been so upset when it had happened to her.

"I- that-" Huanhuan stuttered.

"Deep breaths, let your mind wrap around the info dump."

Huanhuan nodded. "They want us to save the Beast God?" She asked while scrunching up her eyebrows.

Chiaki nodded. "Yeah, somehow. You didn't get any clue as to how did you?"

Huanhuan blushed. "This little blond Elf looking child said I needed to get laid..." She coughed. "And that if I do some quest like things, I'll be given help to make life better here. For me and the beast people."

Chiaki snorted. "Yours actually outright told you to get laid?"

Huanhuan turned redder. "He said something about one of the other girls who was brought here hasn't made even one little bit of praise for the Beast God and that her connection to the world was weakening. That the... uh, Voice?... the brought her here is having a fit that he can't get in contact with her. The little pervert said I should take up the 'slack' and grab a husband or 'better yet' five!" Huanhuan huffed. "What if I only want one husband?!"

Chiaki shook her head, unable to hold in the giggles that kept escaping. "I'd bet you anything I know who he's talking about. Well, can you use the interface now?"

"Oh yeah!" Huanhuan held out her hand. "See the World!" The little blue glow that appeared at her palm finally took shape into the same kind of softly glowing screen Chiaki used. "Oh wow, all the plants that Langzhu taught me about this morning are fully identified already!"

"Cool! I was starting to identify everything near the city I live in, most Tribes haven't delved very deeply into edible plants. Mostly fruits, and much of the herbs are only used as medication."
