Vincent wondered where he was, and how long he had been here, as he was now seeing a bright, white light all around him, and nothing else besides it.

"Vincent?" a woman's voice called out to him.

The voice sounded clear as day, and also familiar. Very familiar, in fact…

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" she asked in concern.

"Valentina…" he whispered. Then paused as the realization that his dead sister was standing in front of him suddenly hit. "Valentina!" he exclaimed. "What happened!? Where am I? How did I get here? Am I… dead?"

She held out her hand and he took it, helping him up.

"No, you're not dead," Valentina responded. "One of the ghosts from that cursed chest casted a spell to possess you but for some unknown reason, it made Asamad possess you instead by accident. However, since you're not alive either, you ended up here, still on Earth technically, just right outside the path that leads to the afterlife."

Vincent couldn't fully process all of this yet, and just stared at her for a moment.

"I know, it's a lot to take in," she acknowledged. "Believe me, it was hard for me to take all of this in as well."

"He can't stay here though," another woman's familiar voice said. "It's too dangerous for him, especially with the situation he's in right now. He'll eventually get stuck here and then actually die."

"He won't stay here, Ophelia. We'll find a way to help bring him back."

Vincent paused as his eyes widened and he then turned around, seeing the ghost that he had met once before standing behind him and Valentina.

"Ophelia? You're here as well?" he realized, raising an eyebrow.

"I knew I had to do something once I found out that my husband was involved," she told him.

Vincent nodded, of course she would get involved upon hearing that this was also about Asamad.

He really started to panic now as he finally started to process everything that had just happened.

"I have to go back, and I have to see the kids! Are they alright? Where are they right now? What about Asamad, what is he doing? Does he know where I am? Do the kids know? Or are they just not able to find me? How long will I be in this state? This is just like the nightmare I had… I cannot handle this…"

"Hey hey, look at me," his sister calmly said, putting her hands on his shoulders. "It'll be alright," she assured him. "Asamad and the kids are fine. They're doing everything they can to bring you back. You're not dying, not now. You promised me to continue living, remember?"

Vincent sighed and hung his head down in despair.

"I did before," he acknowledged. "And yet, now I don't think I can-"

"No, I don't want to hear your excuses or your doubts!" she interrupted. "You promised, and whatever else you say right now is not going to change my mind!"

He couldn't help but just smile at that, and even Ophelia had let out a small chuckle as well.

"Even death could not take away your stubbornness," he commented. "Alright then, I will keep my promise. I will not give up yet."

She almost said something in response, but just simply returned a proud smile instead.

"Now, I think you should follow us back home," Ophelia suggested.

"Yes, I should," Vincent nodded in agreement.

She turned around, and he began to follow her and the other soul down the cave ahead of them, into the ever growing darkness.

"NO!" Asamad yelled, as he was being put in chains by Daphne and the others. "Stop!"

"I'm sorry, but we have to do this!" Daphne exclaimed.

She, Shaggy, and Scooby tightened some of the chains before he roared at all three of them, making Shaggy and Scooby jump back in fear.

"Daphne, I'm not sure if this is the best thing we could do," Cheryl frowned.

"Reah," Scooby agreed. "Re's getting rangier by rhe minute."

"It is, trust me," she replied. She then turned to Asamad. "Calm down! We're doing this for Vincent, remember?"

"You don't think I know that!?" He shouted, looking straight at her with his red eyes. "That's all you've been telling me ever since you started doing this!"

Daphne looked up at the others, ignoring his response.

"Make sure none of the chains are loose, okay?"

"We will," Velma told her.

Everyone else nodded, and began to check the chains, while Asamad still kept trying to break from them.

"Hold still, Asamad, we gotta tighten these," Flim Flam said.

"Get these chains off of me, please!" the ghost pleaded. "I will not do any harm, I swear it!"

"Like, not to anger you more or anything, but yelling at us repeatedly isn't going to free you," Shaggy commented.

Asamad stared at him for a moment, and growled.

"You have a point there," he acknowledged, rolling his eyes.

"How long is he going to be chained up like this?" Jayden wondered.

"Until we can drive his soul out of Vincent's body with magic," Daphne said. "Then, we'll take the chains off. He should be chained up for a few hours, maybe a few days maximum."

"Days!?" Asamad repeated.

"Relax, it's not guaranteed," she exhaled, rolling her eyes.

Asamad growled again, and she just acted as though she didn't hear him at all.

"Okay, I think all of the chains are good," Velma announced.

"Yep, they're all tight enough for him now," Cheryl confirmed.

"Perfect! Now we just need time to get the crystals and figure out the spell!" Daphne exclaimed.

"We still need to find Rankor too, and then capture him in the chest," Shaggy reminded everyone. "But hey, this is still progress."

"Right, and that's what matters," Velma added.

Everyone nodded silently in agreement, and stood there watching Asamad still struggling to break free from the chair he was chained to.

"I really hope Vincent's okay, wherever he is," Cheryl sighed. "This whole situation is making me more anxious by the minute. I mean, he's basically the only father figure I've had in my life since my dad left. I don't know what I'd do without him, or what the rest of us would do without him."

"Hey, he'll be okay, I promise," Jayden assured her. "I'm sure what we're all watching right now will be a fun story to tell him when he gets back."

The others chuckled a little bit at that.

"It will be fun to you," Asamad reminded them.

"You're right, it will be," Daphne commented.
