I recently rewrote chapter 1.

Faerun, Temple of Tiamat

It was pitch black out the moon and stars seemed nowhere to be found. The light of fires was all to illuminate the area. The smell of smoke and bitter poison filled the air standing amidst the shattered remains of her once glorious temple. The dragon queen Tiamat looked worse for ware arrows covering her scally hide like a porcupine cracks covering her scales blood pouring from her wounds. Her five heads raise high sneering down at the mortals opposing her she roared, shaking the very earth "PITIFUL WORMS YOU DARE STRIKE BACK AT ME".

Surrounding the evil dragon goddess lay the corpses of tens of thousands. Amisted the carnage were four mortals stand to face her.

The first was a human woman clothed in leather armor dyed black as the moonless night sky and carrying an assortment of tools and weapons. She had long raven black hair its normal lustrous sheen lust in the dirt soot and blood that now coated her. Her warm hazel eyes narrowed in anger "I'll flank her now kill her already I want to go home so can get paid," she grinned as she dashed with inhuman speed rapidly firing arrows from her pitch-black bow at the dragon queen. The magic arrows flew from her bow sailing toward her target magic arrows piercing deep into the reptilian creature's hide with a sickening thud prompting a roar of anger from the dragon.

The second was a dwarf a short stocky man thick as an oak tree clad head to toe in heavy armor in his hands lay a heavy one-handed axe with a spike at the end seeming made from gold and covered in precious gems which seemed to glow in the darkness. Spinning in place for a moment the dwarf flung the axe with both hands the axe sailed throw threw the air at incredible speed like a musket ball in one strike the golden axe sliced into the black dragon's heads neck. With a sickening thud, one of the dragon's heads fell to the ground with a thud. Suddenly the golden axe stop mid-air and flew back into the smirking dwarves hands "How's that for ya you scally blowhard I've plenty more where that came from one for each innocent life you stole," the dwarf snarled.

The four remaining heads glared at the offending dwarf with unfathomable hatred the red dragon head rose high above the others inhaling deeply as a deep red light began to shine from its mount and the temperature in the area grew broiling out as hell itself began to pure fourth from the red dragon head. The other three shouted out as it did "DIE WORM," the dragon roared as fire like a flood washed over the dwarf. The flames were so bright it blinded those watching. After the flames died down what was left looked like a scene straight from the hells fiery abyss solid rock far as the eye could see turned magma which flowed like water.

The dark-cloaked woman from earlier cried out tears in her usually warm hazel eyes "VONDAL," she cried out kneeling in shock.

"Oh don't worry deary I'll send you all to meet him in the hells soon enough," the evil dragon goddess said a cruel smile growing on the lips of her remaining heads as she raised her paw high into the air to crush the distraught women.

With tremendous force, the paw came crashing down to crush the woman but seemed to stop cold. The shaking woman slowly opened her tear-stained eyes. The enormous clawed paw of the dragon queen hovered just over her head razor-sharp claws extended like swords ready to cut her down. It cast a shadow over her as she wiped the tears from her eyes she saw him the dwarf she thought ashes. He stood protectively over her covered in horrible burns melted steel fused to his flesh Vondal held the paw of the dragon queen up back to the woman he spoke "Don't go writing me off it's take a lot more than that to kill me practically a sunburn compared to the forges back home," the dwarf said letting out a hearty laugh. His face filled with grim determination his muscle bulged he pushed with all his strength the ground cracked under his feet from the sheer force he was exerting as he threw the dragon's paw like a child would a ball.

Suddenly the dwarf was engulfed by a green light as his injuries rapidly heal incinerated flesh regrowing in seconds as the sound of a deep voice called out "Heal,".

Both looked on as a Dragonborn in Polished plate armor embroiled with the holy symbol of Bahamut armor clanking as they came running toward them. "Are you alright my friend',' he asked concern clear on his draconic features.

"I'll live thanks for the healing scaly the bitch got me good," the dwarf said with a grunt glaring up at the dragon queen who return the gesture with an earth-shaking roar and a tail swipe.

Before the tail could reach them a hooded figure landed in front of them. A gust of wind blew the hood down revealing the face below short silvery white hair framing a handsome man with bright violet eyes filled with panic "Shield," they shouted out hand extended out in front of the standing guard over their companions. In response, a translucent magical shield manifested in front of them just in time for the tail of the dragon to reach them. Like a whip, it sailed through the air obliterating everything in its path the enormous tail large as redwood smacked into the shield with tremendous force the shield cracking under the force but just barely manage to hold strong its creator grunting in exertion as they strained against the attack a deafening bang filling the clearing.

"We need to get out of range before her breath weapon recharges I don't think we'll survive another attack like that," the Dragonborn said worry clear in their voice as the light of dancing flames reflected off their golden scales. "And what do you suggest," the human woman asked, eyebrows raised.

"We need to get off the ground I have a plan to defeat her but it will require a distraction Theren can you give them a lift she won't be able to use her breath weapon if were on top of her. Drop them off and after I give you the signal Teleport them clear," said the Dragonborn.

The elf smiled and gave a thumbs up in response "Got it Atala, Vondal grab my hand," as they did two large white eagle-like wings shot out from their back. After a moment of hesitation the two exchange glances before taking the elf's hand. The sound of rushing air echoed out as two large feathery wings suddenly shot out from their back and with a mighty flap of their wings took to the air. The ground grew further and further away as they flew toward the dragon queen air rushed past them at high speed as they were flown to safety. A cloud of dust was kicked up as the elf carrying them landed.

As soon as they did the two sprang into action the human Atala drew her twin swords and dashed across the dragon queen's back slashing wildly as she did. Her glowing black rapiers sliced straight through the dragon's hide blood and bits of scale flying as she did. Her dwarven companion not to be outdone followed suit smirk growing on his lips heafting his great axe onto his shoulder he chased after the women.

Meanwhile, the Dragonborn was on the ground kneeling in prayer "Oh Bahamut great god of all righteous dragons defend us the weak in our hour of need thine sister has escaped the depths of hell and threatens to lay waste to everything we hold dear," as he did this the dragon goddess heard him all four heads turning in his direction a snarl growing on each of the four remaining heads.

"You dare invoke that name my presence," Tiamat said in a surprisingly calm tone that did not match the deep indescribable hatred growing in her eyes.

Ignoring her the Dragonborn continued "Many lay dead at her wretched claws and all of Faerun may yet follow grant ous your protection and the strength to overcome her,".

Slowly all four remaining heads raised high into the air magical light pouring from them "NOW YOU SHALL DIE AND BE SILENT," Tiamat shouted as a hellish tidal wave of fire, ice, lightning, and poison came barring down on him.

"Gladly," a deep rumbling voice called out as an enormous wall of light that pierced the heavens manifested.

"Theren now it's time," the dragon born called out.

In response to his call, the elf in question along with the other two others appeared in a flash of light next to him. Immediately after that, the great wall of light burst into light particles condensing into a great ball of light in the sky out of the ball chains made of a platinum-colored light shot out toward the enraged dragon queen binding her to the ground. The dragon queen roared in rage struggling with all her strength. The ball of light then came crashing down on the brave adventurers. The light was warm like a blanket that shone as brightly as the sun yet did not blind them. As the adventurers were bathed in the platinum-colored light they felt all their pain and fatigue be washed away.

As the light faded the adventurers marveled at the miracle that had just occurred all their pain fatigue and injuries were gone the dirt and grim that had coated them were washed away like they were fresh from the bathes and even the small scrapes and dings in their equipment were gone. "Wow you came through for us this time scaly I think I feel my magic returning as well," said Theren hands gripped tightly in excitement as he felt his strength return.

"No need it is Bahamut that you should thank though if your strength has truly returned I think it best you end this those bounds won't hold for long," the dragon born said clawed finger pointing at the pinned Tiamat. The dragon queen struggled with all her might against the chains visible cracks slowly forming in the glowing magical chains a sound like breaking glass echoing out as one by one the chains began to shatter.

The elf smiled under his white hood wings extended out his back beginning to flap as he rose high into the air hand raised to the heavens "Got it this fight has gone on long enough Empowered Transmuted Meteor Swarm,".

As soon as those words left their lips the four glowing balls of magical force appeared high in the sky they look like great balls of pure force and power straining against the skin of their containers. As the attack came crashing down the dragon queen became frantic chains snapping in rapid succession and just as the last magic chain broke the spell hit and a sound like the wrath of a vengeful god was heard as a huge blast like that create by bombs but without the fire and smoke rippled outward like an unstoppable wall of destruction engulfing the dragon queen.

Unknown Location

In a dimly light room in a normal apartment building, five friends sat around a simple oak coffee table covered with sheets of paper and dice. "And you got her," the DM an older man with sandy blonde hair and brown eyes replied with a cheery smile on his lips.

"Damn can't believe the campaign is finally over," one of the four players said standing up from the table stretching his arms high into the air and arching his back like he'd been sitting for hours.

"Yeah I'm with ya man but I gotta turn in for the night it's getting late," another said also standing up from the table they were tall with brown hair and eyes.

"Leaving already stay awhile longer," the DM replied.

"Na got stuff to do tomorrow so gotta hit the sack early see you guys later," The player said turning to leave. They walked over toward the door to the apartment grasping the door handle to leave. Their friends continued chatting in the background the door closing behind them with a click.

Later

The player exhausted from a long night of playing collapsed into their soft warm bed feeling the warm blankets and pillows lulling them to sleep. As sleep slowly overcame their mind their last thoughts before leaving that world behind forever echoed in their head (it was a blast just wish'd never end,).

Unknown Location, Theren's POV

I felt myself slowly stir awake as if from a deep slumber I felt myself leaning up against what felt like a tree I could feel warm sunshine on my face and birds chirping softly overhead. Slowly I stood up from my spot beneath the tree arms stretched into the air as I let out a yawn eyes slowly opening to take in my new surroundings. Where I expected to see the dull white wallpaper of my bedroom I saw a verdant green forest with trees as far as the eye could see sunlight filtering threw the three tops illuminating the forest floor. Grassy moss covering the ground I stared out taking in the beauty of my surroundings before my brain realized what the problem was.

"The hell where am I this isn't my bedroom," I said anxiety growing me.

Then I noticed the strange clothes I was wearing it was an exquisitely crafted hooded white robe with elaborate gold trim. I stared in confusion before my brain realized what I was seeing (the Robe Archmagi,) I thought eyes wide.

I began to study the article of clothing intently it felt as if it were made of some fine silk and the tailoring was very well done (Whoever made this cosplay deserves a freaking medal) I thought in astonishment. It was then that I noticed the other items on my person a leather bag hanging off my left shoulder with blue and red designs it looked like a perfect recreation of a bag of holding. I also had a shot bow and quiver of arrows on my back and a short sword hanging off my hip.

(Did the guys make this cosplay for me must have cost them a fortune still dropping me off in the middle of the woods just to surprise me is going too far,) I thought both overjoyed at their thoughtfulness and angered at their little joke.

"Alright guys jokes over you can come on out now," I shouted out walking down the forest's non-existant trail the sound of dried leaves crunching beneath my feet. As I walked I saw a small break in the dense woodline and the sunlight reflexing off what looked like water the sound of a slowly moving stream growing louder as I walked toward it. Passing threw the trees I came to a small clearing a lazy stream cutting threw the forest small rocks lining the sides sunlight shimmering on the surface. Leaning down I cupped my hands placing them into the cool river and lifting them bringing them water to my lips when noticed something shocking in the water or rather its reflection.

Staring back I saw a face I didn't recognize short silvery white hair, vibrant violet-colored eyes with gold flecks in them, pale skin and finely crafted features, and poking out from the side of his head were long slender elven ears. (Th-this has to be makeup,) I thought.

I splashed the water cupped in my hands on my face the feeling of cooling water washing over me as I furiously rubbed my face (why isn't this makeup coming off,) I thought a pit of worry growing in me. As I sat there staring into my reflection light breeze passed chilling my water-drenched self my long elfen ears quivering from the cooling breeze droplets of water dripping off their tips.

"Did they just move," I said as my quivering hand reached for my ears as soon as I touched them the sensitive sensory organs recoiled before I grasped both with my hands.

As I felt my long ears I noticed I could feel the warmth from my hands in them. Rubbing them between my fingers I briefly shudder from the pleasant sensation. I then began to tug on them before the pain forced me to stop "n-no way these things are... real," I said falling back onto my behind in shock eyes wide mouth agape.

A sound like rustling leaves alerting me to the presence of another my long sensitive ears picking up the faint sound. My head swiveling in the direction of the sound I saw a rabbit come to the edge of the woods from across the river far enough that I could barely see the creature (no way but that's so far,) I thought surprised at my hearing.

(Guess these ears aren't just for show huh still no point panicking I need to take stock of my situation,) I thought climbing to my feet.

(I'll start by seeing what I have on me,) I thought as I checked my belongings.

After several minutes of this, I realized I had all the gear from my campaign. (Time for a test,) I thought holding my finger up I began to concentrate and at my mental command, a small flame appeared dancing upon my finger.

(So I can do magic then good to know,) I thought not as shocked as I thought I'd be perhaps growing accustomed to the constant subversion of my expectations.

(I need to get a lay of the land,) I thought mentally calling out to my familiar and holding out my right arm with a pop beautiful white hawk with piercing blue eyes appeared perched on my outstretched arm the feeling of its talons gently gripping onto my arm "Aurora I need you to fly around and give me a better view of the area then come back," I commanded.

The celestial in the form of a bird of prey flapped its wings taking to the open sky at my order. As it sailed threw the air I closed my eyes and mental reached out to the creature and used our magical bond to share our senses. My world shifted as suddenly I saw the world threw the familiar's eyes I felt an odd sense of vertigo looking down at my own body. As Aurora flew I focused on my task I could hear the sounds of rushing wind as they climbed higher and higher.

Looking threw Aurora's eyes I saw the forest I was in was vast and seemed to go on for miles. And to the far north, I could see a large mountain range to the south I could see rowlling flat grassland as far as the eye could see in the distance the faint outline of a village. It was then I spotted an area to the west a large clearing in the forest on the edge of a small lake. (Alright Aurora that's enough come back now,) I thought sending a telepathic message via our bond.

I broke off the connection and my sense returned to normal after a minute of waiting I heard the shrill cry of a hawk and the flapping of wings as the familiar landed on my outstretched arm.

The hawk let out a soft chirp head tilted to the side "You did very well girl I'm proud of you now you can take a rest," I said rubbing Aurora's soft feathered head with my outstretched index finger. With a mental command, the bird suddenly vanished returning to its pocket dimension.

(It might be dangerous I should cast some defensive spells,) I thought as I focused my mind inward reaching for the magic within me. I felt the surge of power from within me as I channeled the power into a spell my mind somehow already knew "Death Ward," I said as I was surrounded by a faint glow of white light that quickly vanished.

Immediately after I gasped the shining red gemstone that hung from my neck focused my magic through it "Mind Blank," I said casting a second spell surrounded by a faint white glow that quickly vanished.

I then focused my attention inward on the power within me and large white eagle-like wings appeared on my back and with a mighty flap kicking up dust I took to the air rising higher and higher until I was high enough to see the whole forest. As I looked down from on high I felt a sort of excited scared feeling like one would feel on a rolling coaster before a big drop. I could feel my blood pumping as I looked down at the huge drop beneath me. (Calm down you can do this,) I mentally told myself.

I looked on over the vast forest until I spotted the open area I saw threw my familiar Aurora's eyes and began flying in that direction clumsily at first though as I continued to do this I noticed I was rapidly improving as if this body already knew how to use its wings something like muscle memory. As I grew more confident I flapped my wings harder and harder flying down toward the lake near the clearing flying just feet above the water at high speeds I reached my right hand into the cool water before arching up high into the air "THIS IS INCREDIBLE," I screamed out looking down from amoung the clouds at the clearing.

At high speed I came swooping down before slowly leveling out in the middle of the clearing and retracted my wings. I collapsed onto the ground breathing heavily a bead of sweat rolling down the left side of my face from my forehead before dripping off my chin "Definitely doing that again," I said with a smirk.

After a few minutes of this, I got up and prepared to call on my magic when my new ears began to pick up the sounds of loud stomping and crashing like a stamped. Swirling around to face the new threat I saw three lumbering ogres come stomping out of the edge of the forest huge ugly creatures carrying what looked like full-grown trees as crude clubs following them ten goblins small as children skin the color of puke they wore simple leather armor and carried varies weapons from spears to bows.

One of the ogres charge me two others trailing not far behind at his side "ENEMY," it shouted club raised high.

I felt filled with terror at the sight before a strong calm overtook me a feeling like I had done this before and almost on instinct I raised a single finger and spoke "Twinned Disintegrate," and two beams of green magical energy shot forth striking the two side ogres in the chest and instantly their bodies collapsed into piles of fine dust just in time for the lead ogre to reach me. He brought his heavy club down and with reflexes, I shouldn't possess deftly lept out of the way as the uprooted tree serving as a club slammed into the place I'd been standing less than a second earlier causing the earth to shake from the impact and a small cloud of dust to be kicked up into the air.

I swiftly charged the ogre's right leg simultaneously drawing my sword and severing the creature's Achilles tendon. The lumbering beast let out a dull cry of pain as it collapsed to one kneel. Taking the intuitive I slashed its throat with the easy and gracious of someone with a lifetime of training.

The large creature clutched at its bleeding neck before collapsing to the ground I stair at my blood-coated sword in surprise. The magic sword let off a small glow of light even as the blood of the creature drips off it (how did I do that,) I thought puzzled at my skill with a blade I'd never even touch a sword before yet I someone how knew how to use one. My internal musing was interrupted when my long sensitive ears began to twitch picking up what sounded like arrows whistling threw the air.

"Shield," I shouted out on pure instinct causing a transparent magical barrier to spring into existence just in time to block a volley of arrows. My head quickly turned toward the direction the offending projectiles had come from. I saw five of the goblins charging me their crude instruments of war raised high.

I raise my right hand in their direction my finger fully extended sparks of electricity arcing off it "Chain Lightning," I spoke with an early coldness as a lone bolt of lighting left from my outstretched finger to one of the goblins before four more arched from that one to other four. The goblins let out shrill cries at the electricity coursed threw them then fell silent as the five charred goblin's corpses fell to the ground with a thud.

Seeing the swift deaths of their comrades the five remaining goblins archers began to panic and turned to feel.

"You're not getting away Transmuted Fireball," I said as a sickly green ball of gas flew from my hand toward the fleeing goblins it exploded on contact into a large twenty-foot radius cloud of super corrosive acid. The goblin's cries were short-lived as the acid rendered them down to bare skeletons in mere seconds.

As the cloud of acid dissipated and I saw the threat had ended the stress hit me like a ton of bricks my right hand held to my chest I could feel my heart trying to beat out of my chest and my breathing was labored from the stress. I sat there for several minutes forcing myself to calm down (All right first things first I need to secure shelter I think I know just the spell,) I thought with a smile.

"Mighty Fortress," I said casting a spell using the spell via the replication feature of Wish.

As soon as those words left my mouth the ground began to shake and a deep rumbling was heard as a stone fortress slowly rose from the ground it took the form of a large central keep surrounded by a great stone wall with four towers one on each of the walls four corners overlooking the surrounding area. The whole structure was made from sturdy-looking gray stone.

I walk over toward the familiar structure me and my companions had often used this spell as our primary residence. I stood before fortress doors over a foot thick and made from solid oak reinforced with bands of steel wrapping around it on the top and bottom held together with large steel rivets. I placed my hands on the heavy wooden doors felt the rough texture of the wood made warm by the sun and pushed. It was more difficult than I imagined taking several seconds of pushing with all my strength to move then and for the heavy wooden doors to slowly swing open with a grown sound.

As soon as I stepped through I heard the heavy wooden doors close behind me with a thunk sound. I sat down on the soft grass of the interior courtyard to catch my breath "That'll teach me to use strength as dump stat huh," I said letting out a small laugh and wiping the sweat from my brow. I then climbed to my feet for I knew I couldn't yet rest. I was preparing to cast a spell when I heard footsteps and looked over to see what looked like footsteps in the grass. I was puzzled by this until I remembered the spell came with a staff of invisible servants.

"Prepare dinner for me," I commanded and then the footsteps in the grass raced off and heard foot's steps heading toward the fortress keep.

"Where was I, oh now I remember," I said reaching into my bag of holding and pulling out a leather-bound book with strange arcane writes written in elvish script.

I traced my fingers across the elaborate beautiful writing adorning the pages. The book itself was a book of wizard ritual spells I got from my ritual caster feat. (I think I can actually read this,) I thought eyebrow raised. I'd never seen the language before yet I could read it as well as English. The spell of ink and the sound of shuffling pages was my companion as I thumbed through the book. Until finally, I found the spell I was looking for (ah here it is the alarm,) I thought and looked down at the page on the soft leather-bound book in my arms.

I sat there casting the lengthy spell until ten minutes had passed "Alarm," I said as I finally finished the casting. Ritual casting was always a lengthy process taking a full ten minutes to cast a spell in this manner though the upside was one didn't need to waste a spell slot. As the final words of the spell left my lips the door to the fortress glow a faint white that disappear after a second.

(There this spell will alert me if anyone but me tries to go through this door without permission. Still, those goblins may come back better lay down some Glphy's of Warding just to be sure,) I thought my mind was now full focus on the task of protecting the fortress.

Several Hours Later

Much time went by like this I sat on one of the four turrets the leftmost one at the front I sat legs handing over the edgy look out onto the lake that rested just outside the fortress the last light of sunset reflexing off the surface of the shimmering water. (Well that took longer than expected,) I thought as exhaustion washed over me.

I then smelled the scent of food cooking from the fortress (Looks like dinner is ready to perfect,) I thought leaping off the top of the turret and summoning my wings as I did large white eagle wings sprouted forth from my back and the sounds of beating wings echo out as I use the wings to slow my decent land gentle in the courtyard before retracting my wings (really starting to get the hang of these things,) thought with a smile.

(but before I settle down for the night I need to make sure someone is standing guard,) I thought raising my right hand and channeling the magic within me "Simulacrum," I said casting a spell via the spell replication feature of Wish. With an audible pop perfect duplicate of me appeared. It was standing right in front of me a dazed look in its eyes.

"I order you to defend this fortress from all intruders make sure to make regular parols if anyone tries to get to close warn them off if they refuse you are permitted to use lethal force alert me if anything happens," I commanded.

The thing that looked like me's glazed-over eyes came into focus it nodded and spoke in a voice eerily similar to my own "Understood I will as you command,". It sprouted wings from its back and with a heavy flap of those wings took to the sky kicking off a bit of dust as it did.

I place a hand on the beautifully carve wooden door to the fortress keep unlike the rough wood of the heavy gate this was smooth like the wood had been sanded down and polished it depicted images of vines and flowers carved into the surface. I pushed the door open and inhaled the heavenly smell of my dinner wafting from the door entrances and I eagerly rushed in taking note of my surrounding. The interior walls of the fortress were smooth warm looking stone walls with polished oak floors with a deep red woven carpet over the top of it. Decorating the walls were various oil paintings depicting the many different victories of my and my friends' campaigns.

As I stepped into the dining room I saw a long wooden table fit to seat up to one hundred people it was made of a varnished cherry wood table it had ornate carvings climbing up the legs and going across the sides depicting the highlights of our adventures. The table had a fine silk table cover. Handing overhead was a crystal chandelier lighting the room and at the end of the table on the walls, a large roaring fireplace crackling and radiating warmth and light. And on the wall to the right of the table was a huge woven tapestry depicting the greats triumphs of my friends and my campaigns the battle against the Great Wyrm Red Dragon the Ancient Lich we stopped from overthrowing a kingdom and are final Climatic battle against Tiamat. Looking a bit misty eyes at the fond memories "I just wished they were here now," I lamented.

Turn to the table I saw a feast fit for a king laid out before me A beautiful roasted golden brown pig with an apple in its mouth, a large bowl of handmade mashed potatoes, a porcelain gravy boat, a large plate of freshly baked bread rolls, a large plate of steamed asparagus, a large bowl of various fruit, and several different pies. I saw highly polished fine silverware laid out before me as the invisible servants served me. On my right-hand side, I saw a crystal champagne glass filled with a fine red wine that emanated a fruity aroma. I picked up the silverware and dug in.

Thirty Minutes Later

After eating without question the best meal of my life I felt bloated like I was about to explode (Defiantly went it overboard but it was really good,) I thought happily smiling rubbing my very full belly. Guided by candlelight I walked the quiet halls of my fortress footsteps echoing off the stone walls that surrounded me. Reaching the end of the hallway I reach a spiral staircase. After climbing them to the top I came to an ornate wooden door the door to my personal quarters. I hand grasped the warm crystal door handle and opened the door.

I saw in the center of the room a large king-sized bed with finely carved wooden bedpost with fine silk sheets and a cotton blanket and two large fluffy pillows. A large wooden chest at the foot of the bed and a carved wooden dresser sat on the left side of the room. A sizeable dire wolf fur rug lay at the center of the room just in front of the fireplace to the right side of the room. On the right side of the bed was a wooden nightstand with a flickering candle lighting the room.

After crawling into the inviting-looking bed, I waved my hand using prestidigitation to magically extinguish the candle. I sat there for over an hour trying to fall asleep and even though I was utterly exhausted I just couldn't fall asleep. "I'm such a dumb ass," I remarked aloud as I realized the problem. The problem is that I was no longer human, elves in the forgotten realms had immunity to all sleep-based effects, but as a consequence, they were biologically incapable of sleeping.

As a consequence of this, they tranced instead. Trancing was similar to meditation, where they relived some of their most cherished memories with perfect clarity, allowing them to be fully rested after a mere four hours of this.

(I guess I'm not human anymore) I thought to myself as I sat up and got into a meditative stance.

Memory Start

After sitting there for several minutes, I could feel my mind shift as it relived a memory I didn't recognize. It was the day of my one-hundredth birthday, and I was finally considered an adult in elvish society. I had just finished magic training with my mother Anastrianna a powerful sorceress and was about to go on a hunt with my father, Erevan. Despite having lived on the island of Evermeet all my life this was the first time my father had brought me hunting.

"Bring back a big one, and I'll cook it for dinner for us, and be careful it's his time hunting," Mother called out.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of the boy," Father smiled back.

After that, we spent what felt like hours to me stalking through the woods in search of prey. I could smell the trees hear the birds flying overhead, and feel the warmth of the sun on my skin. I was so immersed in the memory I had completely forgotten where I was.

"There, son," my father pointed out. Down by the lake, there was a large buck drinking from the lake.

"Aim right there above its front leg in the center of its chest; that is where its heart is," he told me.

And as quietly as I possibly could, I drew an arrow from my quiver and drew back the bow. I took careful aim and let go; the arrow stuck true, hitting the buck straight in the heart. As soon as the arrow hit, the buck took off running, but it died before it could reach the woodline.

I could hear my father cheer. I smiled as I felt a deep sense of pride and joy at my accomplishment. And just like that, the memory ended.

Fireball-Creates a large twenty-foot radius fiery explosion.

Glyph of Warding-A Magic trap that creates a nearly invisible mark on something the caster sets the condition on which the Glyph activates. The Glyph can be a simple magical explosion dealing Fire, cold Lightning, thunder, or acid damage(casters choice), or as an alternative the can store a spell in the Glyph.

Mighty Fortress-Creates a large fortress this fortress comes fully furnished in whatever manner the caster wishes. It also comes with enough food to provide a nine-course meal to one hundred people every single day. It also comes with a staff of one hundred invisible servants. Mind blank is an incredibly powerful mental protection spell such that even the near-limitless power of the wish spell can't bypass it.

Prestidigitation-A very versatile spell that can do a number of different things up to but not limited to light or extinguishing a small flame, creating harmless sensory effects such as sparks or the sound of rushing water or the smell of fresh cut grass, clean or soil things, chill or warm things, improve or alter the flavor of things, change the color of an object, make an object invisible, dry out wet objects, and many many other things too numerous to bother listing. As stated this list is not all-encompassing it can do many other things as well but I don't feel like listing them all as it would take forever.

Simulacrum-Makes a magical copy of the caster the copy is visibly identical and possesses all the same powers and abilities as the original the the copy can't regain spell slots or recover hp with expensive components and a lab can only have one at a time.

Teeth of dahlver-nar(description below)

The Teeth of dahlver-nar, a legendary magic artifact, is a decorative leather bag with images of heroes and monsters decorating the outside it. It hung from my belt. Within the bag were 20 different teeth from a variety of monsters. A tooth could be planted in the ground to summon a variety of different monsters, from dragons to vampires to pit fiends to the tarrasque. The teeth can also be implanted into one's own mouth to gain various abilities.

By placing the teeth into one's mouth, they would change their size to suit the creature's size and then would replace an existing tooth and take root in one's mouth, granting a different power for each one.

MC has 7 of the 20 teeth implanted.

The first is a cat molar made from ivory. It contained eight charges. If I user dies, it would use one of the charges to cast the spell Revivify on them, bringing them back to life on the spot and giving them nine lives like a cat.

The second was a golden goblin bicuspid; it let the user redirect any attack that was going to hit me to an ally that was within five feet of them.

The third was a lapis lazuli oni fang which gave came me two different powers. The first was the power to fly and the second power gives the power to cast detect magic at will, a simple but essential spell.

The fourth was a human bicuspid made of jade. It gives the user one free 9th-level counter spell per day.

The fifth was a blue dragon fang; it gives the user immunity to lightning damage, but in exchange, it makes them weak to thunder damage.

The sixth tooth was a red dragon fang veined with ruby it gives the user immunity to fire damage and the power to exhale fire in a huge 90-foot cone dealing of fire damage though using the fire breath gives two levels of exhaustion.

The seventh tooth was a dusty human molar. It gives the user ability to call on divine intervention. Usually, a power reserved for clerics, divine intervention was essentially a more powerful version of the wish spell without the risks of actually making a wish. The only downside was it had a week-long cool-down period.

The teeth of dahlver-nar are indestructible, never truly destroyed except in particular circumstances.
