Ron's eyes widened in fear.

Hermione gripped her wand tightly in her right hand and stormed over to the group of men, enraged tears just barely visible along the edges of her eyes.

"You! You bloody bastard! How could you?!"

"Hermione, what's wrong?" Harry asked, but she ignored him.

"If you can't have what you want, then neither can I…is that how you see it?" she asked, her voice trembling with pure rage. "You know, I know that you and I dated for a while, and that I ended it…which upset you. But you were supposed to be one of my best friends. What sort of a friend does what you did?" She asked, glaring at Ron's blue eyes…eyes she had once trusted.

Ron's mouth opened and closed repeatedly as he attempted to come up with a response before his eyes moved from Hermione to his sister, "You told her?!" he hissed accusingly.

Ginny nodded, "She deserved to know the truth, Ron. And what you did…it was wrong."

"I…I…" Ron stuttered. "I had to!" He exclaimed. "I had to, Hermione! You…you broke my heart when you…and then…and then you…" He stopped talking, blinking rapidly in search of anything to help the situation.

Hermione could feel Draco looking between her and Ron. A tear slipped from her eye and rolled down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away.

She shook her head, glaring at him, "Ronald Weasley, you are a special breed of bastard. I will never forgive you for what you've taken from me. If I had any less self-control, you would be on the ground, barely breathing."

Ron swallowed, "Hermione…"

"Don't ever speak to me again. Don't ever say my name again. And don't ever intrude on my life again. Is all of that understood? If it is, then nod." She said through clenched teeth, her wand hand shaking slightly.

Ron blinked repeatedly before he swallowed and nodded.

"I hate you, Ronald Weasley." She hissed before involuntarily glancing at Draco. She felt a sharp pain in her chest when their eyes met and turned to Viktor, inhaling deeply, "I'm leaving, but you can stay it you want to."

Krum shook his head, "No. I'm coming with you." He said as he set his glass down.

Harry stepped closer to Hermione, "What happened?"

She shook her head, "Harry, not now. If you want to know why your friend is a bastard," she said angrily. "then you ask him." she paused before adding, "Or, you could just ask his sister, who should have told me the moment she fucking found out!" she said with a glare in Ginny's direction.

Harry furrowed his brow and looked over at Ron and then at Ginny.

Hermione nodded to Viktor, "Let's go."

She let him Apparate them to her flat since she was far too angry to do it safely.

When they arrived in her flat, Hermione broke into sobs of anguish and anger over the betrayal of her friends and the loss of the man she loved.

Viktor pulled her into his arms, holding her close. He was confused and concerned but he simply held her tightly to his chest, hoping to ease the pain.

Meanwhile, at Blaise's townhouse, Harry was interrogating Ron.

"What the bloody hell did you do, Ron?!"

Ron shook his head, remaining silent.

"What did you do?!" Harry repeated louder.

Ron inhaled shakily and looked at Draco before putting some space between the two of them.

Draco furrowed his brow, feeling confused but desperately wanted to go after Hermione.

"I…I…I…" Ron swallowed. "I br…broke her and Malfoy up four years ago."

Draco's head snapped toward the red-haired wizard, "What?"

"I said…"

"I heard what you said, Weasel. I want to know what you meant by those words." Draco said through clenched teeth as he stepped toward Ron.

Ron inhaled, opening his mouth to speak but no words came out.

"Speak, Weasel!" Draco snapped, forgetting completely about Astoria being in the same room.

Ron sighed, "I…I…" He cleared his throat and tried again, "I created a sweet treat while at the joke shop. It was charmed so that the first person you see after you eat the treat…well, you hate them. I…I…I snuck the treats into the gift of sweets you gave her Valentine's Day that year and…"

Whatever he was about to say next was unspoken as Draco's fist came crashing down against his jaw with such force that the red-haired wizard crumpled to the ground. Draco followed him and continued his assault.

"You son of bitch!" Draco shouted as he continued striking Ron in the face with his fist until Blaise and Theo pulled him off the other wizard.

Draco was breathing heavily as he glared at Ron's bleeding face.

"You are a piece of shite!" He shouted. "Do you have any idea the things she and I said to each other that night? We had never fought like that before!" He huffed, "I should kill you!"

Astoria rushed over to Draco's side, "Let me check on your hand." She said, glancing at Ron before pulling Draco away from the group and down the hall to the spare room in hopes of calming him down.

Draco paced in circles once in the room.

"Sit down, Draco." she said quietly.

He sat down on the edge of the bed, exhaling heavily while she looked at his bloodied hand. Realizing that she didn't have her wand on her, she gently laid his hand on his lap with a sigh.

Draco didn't speak. He didn't know what to say to Astoria. He had cared deeply for her for so long, but…

"You still love her, right?" Astoria said quietly, breaking through his thoughts as she sighed and sat down beside him.

He remained silent for a moment before sighing, letting his anger fade for a moment so that he could focus on the witch beside him. "I don't know what to do here, Tori."

A small, sad smile formed on her lips as she looked over at him, "Draco…we should break up."

He looked at her, confused.

She smiled at him, "We've been together for over a year now and I know that you care about me, but you love her. It's not fair to any of us to keep this up. And after finding out what Ron did…" She shook her head, "You two never should have broken up. That ring…the one I found soon after we started dating…it was never for me, right?"

He swallowed and shook his head, "I was going to propose to her the day after Valentine's Day. It was sort of an inside joke. She thinks too many people get engaged and married on Valentine's Day, so I was going to ask her on the next day."

Astoria smiled and let out a small laugh, "That's cute." She said before adding, "You need to go talk to her."

He nodded, "Yeah." and looked over at the blonde witch, "I'm so sorry, Tori."

She shook her head, "Don't be. You never did anything wrong. Just don't forget that we are friends. That's not going to change." She said with tears in her eyes.

"Never. I'll always be here for you. I just…I can't…

"I know." She nodded. "Go get your girl."

He smiled and kissed her cheek before standing up and walking to the lounge. He found Luna attempting to heal Ron's badly beaten face while he sat on the sofa dejectedly. When Ron spotted Draco, he jumped up and backed away.

Draco clenched his jaw, "I'm going to go to Granger's flat." He said to Blaise, "Can I use some floo powder? I don't think I ought to Apparate right now."

Blaise nodded, looking a little angry.

"What is it, Blaise?" Draco asked quietly.

Blaise shook his head, glancing over at his girlfriend before looking back at Draco, "She never told me that she knew." He said quietly. "Apparently, she's known for about a year."

Draco sighed, shaking his head, unsure of how to help his friend.

"Go." Blaise said with an exhale. "Go talk to Hermione."

Draco nodded and refused to spare another glance at Weasley before flooing to Hermione's flat.
