I hope you all enjoyed this story!
As the ceremony came to an end, and everyone stood up, cheering on the newlyweds, Hermione looked at her boyfriend pointedly.
Draco chuckled and leaned over, whispering in her ear, "It's a lovely ceremony and they seem happy."
She nodded as Neville and Pansy Longbottom walked up the aisle together, holding hands.
"I know." She whispered back, "But why, dear Merlin, would anyone want to get married on Valentines Day? It's so cliché!"
He chuckled and kissed her cheek, "Merlin, I love you."
She blushed and smiled, "I love you too."
They made their way over to the Reception Hall, running into Luna Lovegood on the way.
"Hey Luna." Hermione smiled.
"Hey you two!" Luna smiled, "Have you seen my lovely date?"
Draco looked around until he nodded, "Yeah, Tori is over there, speaking with her sister by the fountain."
Luna smiled gratefully, "Thank you. I lost her in the crowd."
"How are you two doing?" Hermione asked.
Luna blushed with a wide smile, "Oh, we're doing splendidly. Astoria is wonderful!"
Draco smiled, "We're really happy for you both."
"Thank you, Draco. I'd better go get her. She loves to dance and they're about to start the music." Luna said before rushing away.
Hermione laughed lightly, "I've never seen her so happy."
Draco looked down at the brunette, "Are you happy?"
Hermione met his eyes, "Oh Darling, I'm happier than I've ever been." She replied, "Come on. Let's go dance." She added as the music began.
The next morning Hermione woke up to an empty bed and furrowed her brow. She inhaled deeply, smelled breakfast food, and smiled, but didn't get out of bed. She simply rolled over to Draco's side of the bed and curled into his spot, engulfing herself in the soft scent of sandalwood that he always left behind.
Draco chuckled when he came back into the room, finding her still naked and in bed, but in his spot.
"Comfortable?" he asked, hovering the tray of breakfast food behind him.
She nodded with her eyes closed and a wide smile on her face, "Very much so. Must I move?"
"No, I'll just sit on your side." He smirked and sat down. Hermione rolled over to face him, smiling up at him.
"You're beautiful." He said.
She blushed, "So are you."
He laughed, "Thank you." He said, "Would you like some scones?"
She nodded and sat up, before freezing in place. There, lying on the breakfast tray, was an open ring box, revealing a gorgeous Diamond ring with Sapphires on each side.
"Draco…" She breathed.
"Hmmm?" He hummed, watching her closely.
She swallowed and tore her eyes form the ring to meet his sharp grey eyes, "Are you…"
He nodded, "I am. Will you marry me, Hermione Granger?" He grinned.
"Yes." She said immediately, "Yes, a million times over. Forever. Yes!"
He beamed and leaned over, kissing her lips enthusiastically.
She hummed before pulling back, "Wait! Today is February 15th."
He smirked, nodding, "Well, you would've most likely said no on Valentines Day."
She laughed, "You planned to do it the day after Valentine's Day?"
"Love, I planned that five years ago." He said with a slight hint of pain in his voice.
She swallowed, and blinked away the tears that attempted to appear, "Well, now you have, and I've said yes and we're bloody getting married!"
He laughed and nodded, "Yes, we are. I love you so much."
She smirked, "And they all thought this was a fling."
He clenched his jaw, "I fucking despise that word."
She smiled, "Well that theory has been flung, Love." She smirked.
"That was terrible." He chuckled.
She shrugged, "Hey, now you're stuck with me."
He grabbed the ring box and slipped the ring onto her finger, "And I couldn't be happier about that."
