Just a quick request from you guys - I've finally got the ff beta reader system to work and accept my docs, so if you're interested in being a beta reader, DM me - looking for somebody with a good understanding of the anime and knows proper English - my biggest issue is that I make small typos that I occasionally miss.

Also, it's from here on out that the story gets slightly weird and just a wee bit crazy, with characters from other completely unrelated fandoms getting dragged in, so have fun!

Chapter 007 – A one, two, three, four…

Charmeleon was a being of many emotions and thoughts, with some more prominent than others, namely his temper, his battle spirit, and most importantly after any battle, his sex drive. But he wasn't an idiot who thought challenging an elder Charizard on his home turf a good idea anymore. And at his age, he had learned more than well enough about sizing up his opponents and knowing who he could and couldn't go against in battle. Facing Articuno sounded like a recipe for an epic battle while facing Kyogre on the other hand would be suicide mission – that was a battle best left for Pikachu to deal with.

Now against Mega-Steelix, Charmeleon was questioning the odds of this battle. Against a regular Steelix at his current level would be a close battle determined by him pushing himself to the limits in terms of move sets and tactics. Against a mega evolved one…well, the chances that he would win were very slim. And unless he could pull off a second evolution in the next minute, he was screwed.

Ash was on a similar train of thought as that of Charmeleon, though he was now going over what would and wouldn't work against Mega-Steelix. If Charmeleon were at his full power as a Charizard, he would feel rather confident on his odds of winning. But right now, as much as he hated to think so, forfeiting might very well be a possibility.

But while Ash was many things, a quitter wasn't one of them; neither was Charmeleon. And with that thought, the battle continued.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

"Steelix! Use stone edge as a ranged attack!" commanded Brock.

And as Ash recognized the rocks forming around Steelix for what they were, he called out to Charmeleon to dodge and block what he could with dragon claw and flamethrower.

But while a good number of the jagged stones either missed, blocked, or stopped by the intense heat from flamethrower, it wasn't enough to prevent Charmeleon from sustaining severe damage. And at this point, the fire type was starting to show signs that he was nearing the end of his stamina – evolution, contrary to popular belief, was in most cases, an exhausting process, one that sapped a Pokémon's internal energy to facilitate instantaneous growth in a matter of seconds.

And while there was a temporary boost to a Pokémon's strength upon evolving, that would fade with minutes. And in the heat of a prolonged battle, a newly evolved Pokémon would be better off being forfeited, seeing as most Pokémon needed time to adapt to larger and sometimes much more complex bodies.

Brock, knowing that Charmeleon was on his last legs, decided to end the battle: "Steelix. End this with iron tail."

"Charmeleon! Stop it with mega punch!" cried out Ash.

But as both attacks collided, Charmeleon was thrown back, smashing into several boulders, the impact leaving the fire type barely able to stand.

Seeing one of his oldest Pokémon comrades barely able to stand made Ash want to for a moment forfeit. But the feeling was immediately squashed when his belief that he could and would never give up made itself known, his inner fire burning as strong as ever. And as they say, like trainer, like Pokémon, and Charmeleon would not give up. And as trainer and Pokémon emotions aligned, Ash subconsciously focused on becoming one with Charmeleon, unleashing the power of Aura that was what the bond phenomenon truly was.

As the power of Aura touched the fire type, Charmeleon felt a surge in energy envelope him from within, healing his injuries and powering up his inner fire, along with temporarily boosting the power of his dragon type abilities due to his innate draconic blood. And at that moment, Charmeleon felt like he could take on a dozen mega-evolved Pokémon and felt something that had been missing ever since he had woken up in the past.

The mental fortitude he had spent years working on was now temporarily awakened, allowing his mind and now his body to comprehend the power of Primal Blast Burn. And as Aura from his bond with Ash fueled his inner fire, he now had the fire type offensive power that was near to what he had achieved as his full power as a Charizard before the timeline change, now more than capable of using blast burn.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Ash on the other hand, felt a familiar connection, one eerily resembling the bond phenomenon he wielded with Greninja to unleash the power of Ash–Greninja. But unlike the bond phenomenon, this felt like a dam had burst, and he could feel himself sync with Charmeleon, a connection much stronger than that of the battle bond.

Had anyone looked closely at Ash and Charmeleon's irises, they would have noticed that it was now the mystical blue that was the power of Aura.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

But on the other side of the battlefield, Brock felt something change, a subtle feeling that the scales of the battle had changed, leaving Brock curious yet thrilled at facing what his gut told him was a now more powerful opponent. If this was what Ash was meant to be, then he would face it head on.

Ash's Pokémon present felt the surge of Aura empower them, though nowhere near the massive degree that Charmeleon was being powered up to, though Pichu was the one who truly recognized it for what it was. And if this much power was enveloping Charmeleon, he wondered as to how it would be for him where he in the fire type's place?

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Brock knew that he'd need to wrap up the battle fast – whatever power surge Charmeleon was getting could potentially stack the deck against him.

"Steelix. Use stone edge!" commanded Brock.

"Plow through it with mega punch and dragon claw!" countered Ash.

And as stone edge sped towards the fire type from the Earth, the attack was sliced up like a knife to butter by the twin close range attacks, leaving Ash and Charmeleon with a smile on his face, though the same couldn't be said for Brock and Mega Steelix.

But before Brock could consider how to counterattack, Ash decided to end the battle, the image of the power of a move that Charmeleon had mentioned a few weeks ago appearing in his mind. And with a finishing shout, Ash called out the most powerful move that a Charizard could ever wield: "Charmeleon! Use BLAST BURN!"

From the fire type's maw, a small sphere of pure plasma formed and rapidly expanded in size, almost as big as Kiawe and Turtonator's Inferno Overdrive, though several magnitudes more concentrated in power. And as the attack blasted across the battlefield at insane high speed and struck Mega-Steelix, a bright flash of light from the attack striking home left everyone momentarily blinded. But as the light dimmed away and the dust settled, a crater had formed on the other side of the battlefield where lo and behold, Mega-Steelix stood, exhausted but not out for the count, leaving nearly everyone jaw dropped at the sight of the steel type still standing from such a powerful attack.

"Not bad Ash. Charmeleon definitely packs a punch – Steelix felt that alright, maybe even more than Kiawe's Inferno Overdrive. But it just wasn't enough – Steelix, finish this with stone edge!"

"Charmeleon! Dodge it!" shouted Ash.

But Blast Burn was a very taxing move to use, even more so for a not fully evolved fire type using it for the first time. And in Charmeleon's current state of exhaustion, the fire type was too drained to react to the incoming rock type attack.

As the rock type move struck home, the resounding explosion threw dust all over the field, which soon cleared to reveal a barely standing fire type.

But as Charmeleon gave Ash a sudden thumbs up, the fire type promptly collapsed, unconscious from exhaustion. Simultaneously, so did Ash, wobbling on his feet before faceplanted on the ground, out cold. And with that, everyone started to panic, with Pichu swearing while muttering "Not again…"

A sharp tune from Ash's back pocket distracted everyone from said individual's state of health as seemingly out of nowhere, a famous children's song played from the Pokédex.

A week earlier in Unova…

Boldore was not a happy camper at the moment – who would be when they couldn't access their finances. Because for better or worse, the world ran on money, and right now, he had zilch.

He was currently making his way back to the electric locomotive that Leavanny was waiting back at, hopefully with more luck with her objective than he had. Fortunately, he found her with a briefcase in hand, one loaded with $5,000,000.00 in cash.

"Were you able to withdraw cash? Because I couldn't – the ATMs didn't recognize the account ID's." remarked Boldore.

"I used burner account CO-6.1."

"Forgot about those. So…Dr. D's place?"

"Dr. D's place."

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Five hours later, Boldore and Leavanny were just a few blocks away from their objective of the unforgettable purple building that was home to everyone's favorite kinda-but-not-really evil scientist/engineer/pharmacist.

As said building came into the duo's line of sight, the unforgettable yet magical jingle that played whenever someone intending to enter the building rang in his head.

A one, two, three, four…

Doofenshmirtez Evil Incorporated!

Making their way to the penthouse, Leavanny knocked on the front door, from where she could hear the voice of her favorite blackjack partner.

"I'll be there in just a moment Perry…wait just a second. You're not Perry the Psyduck!" exclaimed the one and only Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtez in his classic lab coat and slacks.

"Hello good sir. We're here to pick up order #254BK."

"Order #254BK? I've never gotten any orders before. Maybe you're looking for the FedEx office two blocks away."

"Actually no, the order was supposed to be from you for a Tunnel-Boring-inator Mark III. We've even brought the payment of $1,200,000.00 in cash." responded Boldore.

"Sorry, but I've never gotten an order before, though it's nice that at least somebody knows that I make good inator's" sighed Heinz. "Why don't you fellas come in and I'll see what I can do for you?"

"Alright. But could I borrow your phone?" asked Leavanny, silently pondering why Heinz didn't recognize either of them.

"Sure. It's by Norm's Apricorn dispenser."

"Thanks."

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

A few minutes later…

The number you have dialed does not exist. Please try another number.

And after hearing said statement for the thirty-second time, Leavanny was starting to get frustrated.

None. Not even a single one of the phone numbers tied to any of Team Ketchum's bases or safehouses were working and the rather calm and jovial Pokémon was starting to panic. And that was the last number.

Meanwhile, Boldore had been talking to Heinz about any inators they could currently buy, seeing as the duo did have five million in cash on hand.

"Hey Heinz! You got a Translator-inator?"

And just as he was about to get a reply, Dr. D left, appearing just a few moments later with a Psyduck wearing a fedora on its head in tow.

"Boldore, Leavanny. Meet Perry the Psyduck. Perry the Psyduck. Meet Boldore and Leavanny."

"Hello there."

"Hi!"

"Hello." replied Perry the Psyduck.

"And now that introductions are out of the way…hold on just a moment" spoke Heinz before he took a sudden phone call, returning a few minutes later with a frown (Maybe? Boldore wasn't great at understanding and interpreting emotions – that was the job of therapists like Bayleef and Donphan).

"Umm…Perry? I have a bit of a problem."

"Go on."

"You see, my wife Charlene has an urgent business trip, and our babysitter isn't in town, so…could you babysit Vanessa? Pleaseeeee." asked Heinz while somehow using baby-doll eyes.

"Fine." sighed the Psyduck.

"Oh, thank you Perry the Psyduck! Here's a list of things you need to take care of, and oh, Vanessa's still working on potty training, she's two and a half years old by the way, so make sure you carry extra diapers when you take her out to the park at 4, and she needs to go to bedtime by 7. Also, for some reason, she can't fall asleep unless someone plays an explicit music album – this month it the Hollywood's Bleeding Explicit Edition album by Post Malone – I bought a physical copy of the album and it should be on the nightstand. And here's the Wi-Fi password…

Twenty-eight minutes later…

…and there's a box of chocolate pudding in the fridge if you want. And that's all that you need to know to take care of Vanessa for the night. And thanks Perry the Psyduck!"

And with that parting statement, Heinz walked said O.W.C.A agent out, returning a few minutes later.

"Now where was I…oh yes, the Translator-inator! I'll have it ready in just a bit."

Thirty minutes later…

"Tada! Behold! The Translator-inator!" (insert dramatic music)

And on a cart that a tall robot with the head and torso of a man and the body of what appeared to be a robotic Ponyta had brought over were a pair of circular bands made of some sort of ultra-thin transparent wire and a large coil of said material.

"I expected something…more."

"Hush you brute – never judge an inator by its appearance."

"You're right! And this band, when worn on your head allows you to understand any language spoken by anyone. And the coil I have here can be cut up and sewn into any type of headwear so you can get both form and function. And oh, here's a bag of all the accessories you'll need to complement the set. It can even translate binary!"

"Well…I was hoping for something that would allow a Pokémon to speak in various human languages." remarked Boldore.

"Oh! You're looking for my Universal facial hair disguise Translator-inator. Though at the moment, it's far from fully functional – for some reason, no matter what you say, all the prototypes save for one output 'Deeper Daddy!' in Kalosian. Hmm…you know what, for $15,000.00 you'll get ten feet of Translator-Inator coil and you'll get the first two prebuilt ones and the one prototype Universal facial hair disguise Translator-inator that works for free if you send me updates on it as a beta tester for the next thirty days."

"We'll take it." said Leavanny as she passed over a pack of 100 bills.

"Lovely. I now feel all warm and fuzzy over being appreciated for my work with inators."

"You should make a business out of it – do what you love while getting rich." commented the Bug-Grass type.

"You know what, I just might do that…"

"Well good luck mate." said Boldore.

"Thanks. And if there's anything else I can do for you, please let me know."

"Hmm…Boldore, If I'm not mistaken, I do believe we are in dire need of a means of transportation."

"Transport you say. Well, I have been working on a little project for some time, so now to a flashback!

Doofenshmirtez's flashback…

"It all started a few months before Vanessa was born.

You see, I was worried about my little girl's future, so I went about and invested in all kinds of stuff, a lot of which make enough money to ensure that Vanessa will have a college fund, a monthly investment paycheck, and a retirement plan till the age of one hundred and sixteen. And as a part of that, I invested in real estate, and accidently bought a plot of land in Orre. A few weeks later I went to check it out and found a very special aircraft, one from the time when the USSR was still around. Soon after, I got it shipped over to Unova and with a few million dollars in repairs and upgrades, I got myself a machine of the future."

End of flashback.

"So come on down to my underground hanger."

And thus, the duo followed the scientist down to the basement of the tower, where they found a secret mine tunnel that led to LaGuardia Airport thirty miles away via a mine car. And after a twenty-minute ride, the two Pokémon found themselves in a massive underground hanger the size of four Unovan football fields where smack dab in the center stood an aircraft that would make every aviation geek alive, and Totodile (Team Ketchum's resident pilot) have an orgasm.

"And since I'm such a nice guy, I'll sell it for four million."

"We'll take it." spoke Leavanny as she thrusted the briefcase into the scientist's hands while snagging the keys to the behemoth of an aircraft.

And as the aircraft powered on, Dr. Doofenshmirtez promptly lowered a ramp, providing the aircraft with direct access to LaGuardia's runway.

Meanwhile at the ATC tower…

Jimmy Tomes was used to the repetitive nature of the job as an ATC controller. But for the first time in his twenty-year career, he was shocked at the sight of a massive aircraft appearing out of nowhere taxing onto runway 4/22. But before he could even check to see if any planes were set to takeoff at that moment, ten massive jet engines roared at full blast as the aircraft sped down the runway before taking off and somehow turning invisible.

Squinting his eyes and wiping his glasses, he looked around to see nothing but regular commercial aircraft waiting for his go ahead. Maybe he was seeing things and just needed another cuppa.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Several hours later…

As Leavanny manned (womanned? Pokémon'd?) the navigation system, she pondered over what the duo, now a trio after picking up Torkoal outside of Nimbasa City would proceed forward with as their next course of action.

Without communications with the rest of the team, preferably the higher ups, the trio didn't exactly know what to do. Right now, they couldn't reach anyone and didn't know where anyone else on the team was, eerily similar to the communications blackout they had been dealing with for the past year before she had woken up in Unova instead of Kanto.

Though as of now, their only plan forward was to head to Sinnoh, which was the last known location of Ash who had been sighted alongside Dawn and Champion Cynthia, a relief for the team seeing as they had been frantically looking for their trainer for well over a year, his disappearance confirmed just a few days after his return from winning the Alola League.

Hopefully they'd find their trainer soon – the situation as a whole was very concerning and hopefully Ash had the answers they were looking for.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

One week later…

They had spent nearly a week flying over eastern Sinnoh, seeing as whatever reports Leavanny had read before this whole 'wake up in a different place where a lot of shit is somehow completely different' pointed to Dawn being sighted near either Celestic town, the coasts of eastern Sinnoh, or Sandgem town, which was their next stop. And seeing as she remembered a crap ton more reports regarding Dawn's movements than Ash's over the past year, she'd stick to following the blunette's trail, as hopefully it might lead to Ash.

And as they descended down to 15,000 ft from their previous flight altitude of 70,000 ft, Torkoal immediately noticed something unusual on the ground. Zooming in on the ground, the fire type spotted what appeared to be a tank with dozens of motorcycle wheels instead of tracks. And sitting on top of the turret were a familiar Totodile and a Buizel.

"Leavanny, put us down will ya."

"Why?"

"Found some of our comrades below." answered Torkoal.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Back on the ground, Totodile, Turtwig, Gligar, and Buizel were attempting to play Jenga on the turret of an old WWII M10 Golurk tank destroyer that was nearly intact, save for the shredded tracks that were replaced with a shit-ton of chains and gears, along with the wheels from every JCPD (Jubilife City Police Department) motorcycle. Add in a dozen hydraulic cylinders and springs meant for construction cranes and they had a tank that drove like a Rolls-Royce (at least in terms of ride quality. Everything else, not so much).

But seeing as they were travelling at fifteen miles per hour and had nothing to do, the four Pokémon chopped a bunch of logs into smooth wooden blocks, plenty for a good game of Jenga. But as Buizel worked on loosening a rather delicate piece, a sudden rumble caused the tower of blocks to collapse, leaving said water type pissed off.

And above the small tank appeared a massive aircraft that was previously invisible and somehow hovering in midair. Ten massive jet engines, six on the wings and two each on the nose and tail, all providing vector thrust. A rich black paintjob, a custom formula designed to dissipate radar with 98% effectiveness. And three pairs of missile launchers with red dot scopes locked on the comparatively tiny tank.

And from a small hatch under the aircraft dropped a small package that landed by Totodile's feet. Hesitantly tearing it open, he found a walkie talkie inside, from which a familiar voice spoke.

"This is Agent Unova-Six. Identify yourself or be neutralized."

But before Totodile could reply, Chimchar popped out from within the tank and snatched the walkie talkie from his claws.

"This is General Infernape. You have been acknowledged. Oh, and Leavanny, you call that a threat you Pineco riding whore!"

"Says the guy who needs a hand job every time he needs to pee."

"Har-har."

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Five minutes later, the group of nine Pokémon stood in the lounge of the now officially dubbed AFK-290 (Air Force Ketchum - 290) (the motion to designate the aircraft code to mean Ash Fucking (specifically the guy who might start fucking one of his female companions someday…) Ketchum was defeated by a vote of 1-8, though everyone did agree that the motion could pass if the phrase actually became true). And the topic at hand was one serious debriefing.

"So, boys, and girl, here's what we know so far. Totodile, run down the list on what we've compiled over the past three weeks."

"Right General. So, here's what we got:

After careful deliberation, we strongly support a case for either reality or the timeline, or even both having been rewritten. The evidence pointing towards a change in the timeline or time travel is as follows:

1. Firstly, the year is 2013, over eight years in the past.

- In conjecture to the previous point, most of us are devolved and several magnitudes weaker than what we were just twenty-two days ago.

2. The theory of reality being rewritten is supported by the following points, though they are not comprehensive:

- Upon determining we were in Sinnoh, more precisely near Twinleaf town, we made our way to the settlement, ideally to Ms. Dawn Berlitz's residence. Unfortunately, it didn't exist, and Dawn's home is now an old apartment complex.

- Our concern regarding Ms. Dawn Berlitz increased in severity when we snuck into the records office one night and found no records of Ms. Berlitz or anyone related to her living in the surrounding areas.

- We also discovered that many other things regarding Sinnoh are different, notably that Twinleaf town is now a district within Sandgem City, a place that last we checked was basically a few dozen houses, two stores, a Pokémon center, and Prof. Rowan's lab, not a small but bustling city.

3. Next, as far as we are aware, everything related to Team Ketchum and ARK Enterprises is gone – no comms, no safehouses, nothing. It's as if our current state of operations is like it was before the Silver Conference..

- This fact is backed by the knowledge of organizations and enterprises we once gutted after the fall of the criminal forces behind them now being fully operational. Lysander Labs, The Galactic Corporation, Rocketto Industries, and Plasma Advance Systems & Sciences are all now profitable interregional businesses and bigger than we ever knew them to be. The leaders that we knew were dead are now very much alive – Lysander, Cyrus, Giovanni, Ghestis – three of whom we assassinated and put six feet under are now rich businessmen who are loved by both the people and the stock market.

- The above circumstances, very similar to that of before Leader Ash and Supreme Commander Pikachu foiled the criminal and in some cases world-ending plots of the organizations behind these corporations' hints towards the possibility of organizations like Team Rocket, Team Galactic, Team Plasma, and Team Flare now at large.

4. Finally, we have been unable to monitor Leader Ash and his activities ever since he returned home from his victory at the Manalo Conference. The only recorded intel we've had on his movements points towards both the World Coronation series and an incident where he was recently spotted here in Sandgem town alongside Ms. Dawn Berlitz and Champion Cynthia.

5. There is also the possibly that the communications blackout we've been dealing with for the past year and a half, even before Ash's disappearance just after the Manalo Conference could be a lead-up to our current circumstances.

All in all, the conclusions that we can draw are that we're seriously fucked…"

But before Totodile could complete his report, everyone present felt a surge of power, a feeling that many of them were familiar with in battle. At that moment, there was only one thought in everyone's mind – "Ash" – before everyone freaked out.

"We need to contact Ash now!" shrieked Totodile.

"But how? We've tried all thirty-two contact numbers linked to Team Ketchum!" replied Leavanny.

"Then you haven't tried them all. There's one more that only the Generals and the Supreme Commander know. Now where's the telephone on this aircraft!" ordered Chimchar. "And pass me that universal translator mustache thingy!"

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

As Brock and Heracross helped prop an unconscious Ash up, the duo and Misty watched Pichu hit accept on the call coming from the Pokédex – who knew that it was also a phone!

"Hello?" spoke Pichu, wondering who was on the other end of the line.

'Hello. This is General Infernape requesting emergency communication link COMLINK-ZERO to Supreme Command. Do you respond?' came a voice in English with a smooth Galarian accent straight out of a James Bond film, leaving Misty and Brock wondering if this was a prank call.

"General. This is Supreme Command. Access code: ZERO-ZERO-ONE."

'Acknowledged. Seven other agents under my command alongside General Staraptor. Requesting field debriefing.'

'Request denied in favor of status: UNKNOWN. Due to circumstances, Protocol 0-8-4 and Protocol 7-4-9 are active. Until further notice, all operations are on hold. Standing orders are to head to either location code BIRTH or to location code HEART, the latter of preference for full debriefing until we are set up for essential operations."

'Understood sir. Requesting information on communications.'

"All comm's are dark until essential operations are online. Your current location?"

'Sandgem City, EHS.'

"HEART is at Pewter City Gym, KTO. HEART is currently at minimum T-48 hours until departure from Pewter to Cerulean, KTO. Your unit is on their own. Do you have a means of transport?"

'Yes sir. We shall be there in 13 hrs. General out.'

And with that the call ended.

Seeing as all that Brock and Misty understood was the other end of the call, neither being able to currently understand PokéSpeech, both of them simultaneously would have responded with WTF's, only postponed in favor of getting Ash and Charmeleon immediate medical care.

Pichu sighed. He hadn't planned on any humans save for Ash (eventually) learning about what Team Ketchum was beyond being a family with a few humans (and more if Ash would knock up Misty already!), but an exception could and would now have to be made for Brock and Misty.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Two hours later in a guestroom at the Pewter City Gym…

Pichu sat by Ash's bedside, watching his trainer snore away peacefully all while making dozens of plans in his head. He knew that crazy shit was inevitable but seeing the bond phenomenon in effect on a Pokémon other than Greninja was a shocking surprise, even if the only thing that proved that said ability was in effect was the thrum of Ash and Charmeleon's eyes which had been glowing a steady blue during the battle, along with the massive powerup, the former a sight that was frequently seen when Ash-Greninja was on the battlefield.

It was by sheer luck that he had been able to convince Brock to let Ash rest in bed instead of taking him to a hospital (thank Arceus his paws were large enough to use a pencil to write with) – the last thing he needed was explaining to a doctor how his trainer could fall unconscious in a Pokémon battle while quickly recovering from exhaustion and physical injuries that matched exactly where Charmeleon took damage (not that Brock or Misty knew about the physical injuries part - he didn't want them to completely freak out). And fortunately, Brock understood sign language and chicken scratch handwriting and brought Ash to one of the guestrooms in the gym.

Right now, Brock and Pidgeotto were keeping an eye on Charmeleon at the Pokémon center – Pichu was confident that the fire type would be on his feet by tomorrow morning. Ash on the other hand…well, he had only been KO'd twice due to the bond phenomenon, and both times was conscious within eight hours and back on his feet within twenty-four. Though as badly as he wanted Ash fully recovered, the few hours of waiting were a reprieve that would give him time to figure out how to explain shit to Ash, Brock, and Misty. Right now, he'd pay millions to have Bulbasaur here – that willy old grass type was much better at explaining shit to this level of complexity in this case. Oh well…

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

An hour later…

As Misty made her way back to Ash's room – as much as she wanted to be by Ash's bedside until he was awake, in Brock's words 'You won't do him any good from fainting because of an empty stomach', she pondered over how she felt over Ash getting hurt.

Just seeing him lying on a foldout bed brought back memories of Shamouti, of him nearly drowned that day all those years ago. And with that sudden fear in her heart, she scooted onto his bed and held him close, hoping that he'd get better soon. Ten minutes later, she was fast asleep.

Two hours later…

As Brock opened the door to Ash's room, a freshly cooked meal and Charmeleon's Poké ball in hand, he dropped the latter and barely caught the former at the sight before him. And as Charmeleon popped out of his Poké ball, he too was left jaw dropped at the sight before him.

Misty snuggled into Ash, her face in the crook of his neck with her arms around his chest, pressing her breasts into his firm torso. Both teens fast asleep, unaware of the world around them. And at that moment, many, many, more anime tears were shed…

In response to some of your questions:

If I mention for "Reasons" somewhere, it's coz it's something that will be cleared up in a future chapter.

1. The person Prof. Oak refers to as Daisy is Daisy Oak, Gary's older sister.

2. Here's how I envision the different regions of the Pokémon world and their very loose references to the real world (both in size and in culture to an extent...) (coz if the Pokémon world Earth as a planet is the same size as our Earth, then the known regions as the anime interprets them would be very, very small…) Hope's this clears up some confusion on my choices for currencies (might not, but don't wanna spoil stuff).

All the nations of the Pokémon universe:

Kanto (KTO)

Johto (JHO)

Kanto and Johto share a border, and in many cases are referred to as the United Kanto-Johto (UKJ). Combined land mass size is 1.2 times than of Canada.

Hoenn (HON):

Independent nation that has strong historical ties to UKJ, both in culture and in trade spanning centuries – hence why they use the same currency. Land mass size slightly smaller than that of Brazil.

Sinnoh – Empire of the House of Sinnoha (EHS) - It's kinda like Russia back when the Tsar's were a thing, just applied to the 21st century, and less extreme 'the monarchy is everything'. Roughly 75% the size of Russia and shares a border with Kalos that is similar in length to the one between Russia and Finland. Reason why they use the same currency as Kalos is due to history and trade and stuff and "Reasons"...

And yes, I know Sinnoh was based off of a region in Japan, but to me, it's always seemed to feel much more different than the previous regions. Thus, I've implemented Sinnoh as it's own place, even though many of the core elements of the region from the anime will be still be the same.

Unova – Unovan States of America (USA) - It's the US.

Kalos – The Kingdom of Kalos (KLO) - duct tape France, Spain, and several other European countries into one kingdom.

Alola – The Four Islands of Alola (FIA) - It's Hawaii, but instead of a state that's a direct part of Unova, it's an independent nation with a strong alliance with Kanto and Unova.

Galar - United Kingdom of Galar (UKG) - it's the UK plus whatever countries weren't used up to duct tape together Kalos. Galar was once split into several regions and Kalos conquered a few of them centuries ago. Eventually, they were returned back to Galar, but decided to stick to Kalos's currency for "Reasons"… hence, the Euro became a thing.

Orre and Torren before the event known as "Giratina's Wrath" in 1979 – known as the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).

After the event known as "Giratina's Wrath", the USSR split into the People's Republic of Torren (PRT) and the Cipher State of Orre (CSO).

Finally, we have the North and South poles and the wildlands (I thought of it as the place from the 1st movie where the team rocket agents got Mew's DNA – don't have a solid idea past that yet…)

I'll definitely try to make a proper map that isn't a bunch of blobs on MS Paint - might be easier to visualize than trying to explain it. (no promises)

Other stuff:

I'm taking many liberties with Pokédex entries and changing stuff such that they make more sense to me.

An example of this would be Regigigas, who according to Bulbapedia and PokemonDB is listed at a height of 3.7m and a weight of 420kg.

That just sounds really off to me, because if we look at the scene from Movie 11 – Giratina and the Sky Warrior where Regigigas appears and a herd of Mamoswine runs around him, you can tell that Regigigas is easily four, maybe five Mamoswine's tall. You can also see this if you look at the scene when they're pushing the glacier and get a back view of Regigigas.

But Mamoswine has a listed height of 2.5m (compared to Pikachu who's a little over a foot tall and looking at plenty of scenes where they stand side-by-side, I can believe 2.5, maybe 3m). Do the math.

Personally, Regigias should be a Kaiju size being, but that's just me – I'm ok with him being at least forty-fifty feet tall...
