Chapter 009 – Fusion Bolt == ?

After running across the entire length of the AFK-290 twice for nearly an hour, Pichu made his way back to the conference room where everyone else was lounging about – Misty had calmed down a bit (not really though – more like her anger was simmering) and was moodily following him back to where the rest of the gang was.

However, Pichu was left questioning his eyesight when he stumbled upon his trainer faceplanted on the table unconscious, Brock shedding a waterfall of tears, and Chimchar attempting to wake Ash up with wake-up slap.

"Ok…what going on?" asked the electric type, already feeling a migraine coming upon him.

"Long story short, Ash's brain hit the human version of Error 404 when he heard about how some of his female companions are interested in having sex with him. And right now, we're attempting to jumpstart his brain – we've tried everything – crazy dance moves, wake up slap, thunderbolt…wait, we haven't tried the last one – Pichu, give him a good ole zap!" replied Taillow.

"One thunder shock. Coming right up."

And with an electric discharge, Pichu's thunder shock struck Ash right in the face, though all it did was make his pinky twitch.

Though before Pichu could contemplate upon how his attacks were still useless, Totodile announced through the intercom that they were about to land, which left Pichu and Misty getting filled in on the phone call 45 minutes prior by Pidove, leaving Chimchar standing guard over Ash's shocked form. Brock, meanwhile, had cried himself to sleep. Oh Brock…

As they landed in a large clearing just a few minutes from a nearby lake, Pichu watched as Starly led a U-Haul truck and the Tauros herd inside the plane's hanger that was somehow not even half full with all the new Pokémon and cargo.

Amongst the new entries were Bayleef (now a Chikorita), Quilava (as a Cyndaquil), Dr. Night (formerly a Noctowl, now a Hoothoot), Director Bulbasaur (still a Bulbasaur but smaller than he used to be), the entire Tauros herd that was also towing an F-15 with Squirtle on top with an aviator's helmet, Meltan and his gang, and an egg in an incubator securely held in Chikorita's vines.

And as the group split up amongst themselves into those they usually hung around, everyone filled each other in on what was going on, only to be disturbed by Chikorita's screech of "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME IN THE FIRST PLACE?" and "Where is my patient?" that left her promptly racing behind Starly as he led her to the conference room where Ash was. The rest of the group followed, save for the Tauros and Meltan, the former unable to fit through the entrance to the other decks of the aircraft and the latter not interested in the chaos brewing.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Entering the conference room Misty found Chikorita looking over Ash with a variety of Doctor's tools, including a flashlight, a stethoscope, and somehow, an EEG and an ophthalmoscope. Where said grass type had gotten such tools was a mystery never to be solved.

"So. How is he Doc?" asked Pichu.

"Not good. Based on what you've told me so far, the best I can conclude is that Ash's mind shut down, unable to comprehend what you guys said about Misty, Dawn, and Serena, which wouldn't make sense because he doesn't know about…unless…"

"Unless what?" asked Chimchar.

"Unless he knew exactly what you guys were talking about. Which begs the question - where the hell did Ash learn about sex toys!" swore Chikorita.

For some inexplicable reason, Pichu was pale, sweating bullets in response to Chikorita's question, a red flag that immediately drew the ire of the worried grass type.

"Pichu. Is there something you'd like to say?"

"It might be my fault. Ok not completely – Gary definitely gets the majority of the blame, but I did play a small part in this mess." sighed Pichu.

"What happened?" asked Misty.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

"Well, it happened a bit over two years ago in this timeline, specifically just a week before Ash's thirteenth birthday.

Gary had turned thirteen just a week prior, and one of Daisy's friends decided to give him an adult magazine for his birthday-"

"Who the hell gives a thirteen-year-old a porn magazine?" shouted Misty.

"It wasn't a porn magazine, but it might've very well been.

It was actually a guide for young men on seducing women, and the closing statement of the guide was 'If you have uncovered the treasure within a woman's panties, then you have mastered this guide'.

Unfortunately, Gary took this literally, thinking that there were solid gold ingots or something in a woman's panties, and roped Ash into raiding his older sister's panty drawer in search of treasures.

They didn't find anything other than Daisy's rather racy lingerie, which the two didn't pay any heed to. But while they were busy raiding Daisy's closet, Gary's Eevee and I were playing tag and we kinda knocked over a dresser that was filled with a crap ton of sex toys.

Unfortunately, it was at that moment that Daisy walked into the room, and well, seeing what looked like two teens surrounded by sex toys and her lingerie led to her promptly freaking out."

"Ok now I'm interested - what happened next?" asked a now intrigued Chimchar.

"Well, she wasn't gonna leave what had just happened alone, but her response was, well…I wish she had just reported the two to their mothers and been done with the matter.

Instead, she somehow got permission from Mama Ketchum and Helen, Gary and Daisy's mother, to give Ash and Gary a very explicit version of the talk, involving tying down the duo to chairs and forcing them to watch three hours of Daisy Oak having her wicked ways with Susan, the girl who had given Gary the guide and Daisy's lesbian girlfriend, extreme BDSM style with a lot of crazy shit in Daisy's sex dungeon.

The incident traumatized them – neither of them could look at a woman for more than a split second for a week, and then their mothers dropped the safe version of the Talk on them, ya know, about consent and protection, and well, it was a good thing they were homeschooled – I don't wanna even imagine how they would have reacted had they gone to a regular school for their education, a place where half the populace are the very gender that would very well give them heart attacks.

Fortunately, the only females they had been exposed to their entire lives were either their mothers, a few old ladies, or Daisy and a few of her friends, and they only freaked out around the latter, and well, the past two years in this timeline have implied that they're ok – Gary is now a ladies' man and Ash hasn't freaked out around Misty or any of the other women we've met so far like Nurse Joy until now, so…"

"WHAT THE FUCK!" swore Misty.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

"Well, that would explain where his knowledge of where sex came from, especially in regards to Serena's choices." sighed Turtwig, "So what is Ash's prognosis?"

"Based on this new info, the best I can guess is that the experiences you've just mentioned that happened in this timeline are what can be best described as the polar opposite to sex in the previous timeline and that his mind can't comprehend it.

On top of that is the fact that he knows that what you guys said was the truth - had it been any Joe or Jane off the street that said this shit, then he wouldn't have believed it, but since it was you guys, his Pokémon, he believed it without hesitation. And he has no reason to not believe us – we've never lied to him about anything for the most part, so yes…now we have a trainer who is trapped within his mind, with a very high possibility of entering a long-term coma or even worse…brain death." answered Chikorita with a gulp.

"Then how do we cure him?" asked a paling Bulbasaur.

"We'd need to give a shock to a system, one of even greater effect than what got him in this state. Unfortunately, he is mostly non-responsive to conventional external stimuli, so that leaves us with very few options. Dr. Night? Your thoughts?" asked the grass type to Hoothoot.

"Hmm…getting his neurons fired up via an external stimulus is the way to proceed forward, but to do so, we would need to calculate for his inherent durability against nearly any physical attack - in total…we would need a discharge of 2,049,303,100,719 watts of energy," explained Hoothoot.

"Convert that into something that those of us of average intelligence can understand…" remarked Squirtle.

"The closest analogy would be Zekrom's Fusion Bolt with a 98.348% chance of success – Ash's Aura-infused body would survive the hit with only superficial damage with a 14.661% possibility of permanent hair loss at worst and his brain would hopefully jumpstart, after which several months' worth of therapy should put him back together. The only other possibility would be the Z-Move Ash and Pikachu refer to as Ten-Million-Volt-Thunderbolt, though for that I cannot guarantee a high success rate. And even then, we would need Ash to be able to perform the Z-Move…"

"So…we're fucked." sighed Pichu.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

For the most part, Misty had been barely listening in on what the Pokémon were talking about. But then, she thought about Ash knowing about her 'naughty dreams' about him, and how she felt about that.

Was she angry at Pichu and Psyduck for peeking in on her private moments? Yes, and both of them would eventually get a mallet to the skull.

Was she embarrassed over Ash finding out about her naughty dreams? Definitely.

Did she like Ash?

What was there to not like about him, save for his moments of idiocy, though to be honest, most males suffered from it from time to time.

Did she love Ash?

Possibly. She had known him for years, and even with the friction that they had over the years with their tempers, she knew without a doubt that her life was infinitly better with Ash in it.

But the moment she heard that Ash might die, might be lost for her forever, a part of her nearly broke. She had already seen Ash nearly die and even actually die, and she would NOT lose her best friend, the boy, no, the man who had a special place in her heart.

Though if she really wanted to know the answer to that question, there was only one way to find out.

Steeling herself together, she approached Ash and grabbed his head, her cerulean green eyes staring into his glassy brown.

Close to his face, she whispered to him, "Ash. Come back to us. Come back to me."

And before she could Torchic out, she kissed him, pouring every emotion she felt for him into it, both good and bad.

At first, he was still and unresponsive, but soon started kissing her back, evolving into a full fledge passionate make-out session. Meanwhile, the Pokémon present watched in shock as the two teens passionately snogged each other, jaws dropped at the sight before them.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

A fair bit earlier in Ash's mind…

As Fletchling rambled about Serena's debaucherous choices, Ash quite literally shut down in shock. And within the deep recesses of his mind, in what appeared to be a conference room were five different versions of Ash, each tinted a different color, all knocked to the ground from an explosion from a now smoking control console.

The first to react, the red-colored Ash, Anger, looked at the smoking console and started swearing.

"It's not too bad – we can fix the master console – easy peasy!" said the gold-colored Ash, Joy.

But before anyone could take in Joy's statement, sirens started blaring, drawing the attention of the different aspects of Ash to the view of the Void of Infinite Islands, where several of the islands could be seen spewing pummels of smoke with many of the rainbow bridges interconnecting the islands cracking.

If that wasn't bad enough, another siren drew their attention to a now shrinking blue sphere of energy that represented Ash's Aura.

"Mewtwo! What's going on?" cried out a blue-color Ash, Sadness.

Mewtwo, or specifically, a fraction of his power implanted in Ash's mind to hold it together, popped in, a fat roll of duct tape in hand.

"This is one of the worst-case scenarios I feared but hoped would never happen when I repaired Ash's mind – in short, the memories of this timeline's Ash and the memories of Ash after the events of the Alola League had the wish never been undone are now spreading like a virus, causing havoc on the personality and dream islands and are trying to revert Ash's mind to their respective states."

"I thought that they were locked away with those memory dams – what happened?" asked Joy.

"The dams were merely meant to slow the flow of how many of Ash's memories from this timeline he could access – keeping it at a trickle prevented his mind from exploding while filling in the essential blanks of this timeline until enough time had passed by when he could assimilate all of those memories.

The same story goes for the memories post-Alola League, except those were completely locked away until Ash was at least twenty-five, lest Ash reverts to his cognitive state pre-wish undone."

Unfortunately, upon hearing about the less-than-innocent thoughts and behaviors that Ash's female compatriots have toward him, his mind attempted to access locked-away memories of this timeline that show any semblance to what he just heard, which in this case were the extremely traumatizing memories of the "Daisy Oak Panty Raid leads to Uncensored Talk" incident two years ago that led to him being terrified at the concept of being in a relationship with someone that wasn't familial and/or platonic. This led to a cascading failure of both memory dams, unleashing the memories of this timeline and the post-Alola memories of the previous timeline all at once, overloading his mind.

Right now, Ash's mind is in a constant state of conflict, with all the new memories being processed. This in turn is causing his brain to overload, destroying the functional parts of his mind."

"So how do we fix it? And what's happening to Ash's Aura?" asked the green-colored Ash, Disgust.

"We can't."

"WHAT!" shouted all of Ash's aspects.

"Right now, Ash is dying-"

"HOW?" yelled Anger.

"Ash was born with Aura, and from day one of his life, every cell in his body has been infused with it, only growing stronger as time passed. However, Aura is fueled by emotions, and right now, he's not processing any emotions, consciously or subconsciously.

Without emotions, his Aura is weakening, and without Aura, his body will start failing, inevitably leading to a slow and painful death. And unfortunately, I do not have a solution for this.

"We can't die now - we've got so much to accomplish!" shrieked the purple-colored Ash, Fear.

"If we need emotions, then I'll give ya emotions!" swore Anger, smacking the charred control console in a futile attempt to jumpstart the brain.

Mere moments later, the lights started flickering, the Aura core now but a small collection of sparks. Outside, the void of infinite islands was starting to become finite, many islands now sinking towards a newly formed black hole of forgetfulness, something that was not possible for someone blessed with Aura, which gave a user inborn perfect memory.

"It's alright – it's been nice knowing you guys…" sighed Sadness.

But all of a sudden, a pink glow enveloped the master chamber, surging into the control console that was now reforming before their eyes. And as the displays powered back on, they brought up a view of all sensory input, where the group could see Misty-

"HOLY SH*T! MISTY IS KISSING ASH!" shrieked Fear.

"Ok. If this were Iris, then I'd say we'd be better off dying, but it's Misty, sooo…WOOHOO!" cheered Disgust.

The Aura core above them glowed with power, now rapidly expanding in size, surging towards the void of islands, undoing the damage by raising the falling islands, repairing them, closing the black hole of forgetfulness, and absorbing the memories that Mewtwo had locked away.

And with that, new islands started forming, now adding more to Ash's core personality, though Joy did notice that one of the new islands had a giant statue of Misty in a very skimpy bikini.

But suddenly, Mewtwo started flickering in and out of existence, slowly turning translucent.

"Mewtwo? What's happening?" asked Fear.

"It seems that Ash's mind is now truly whole, and that I am no longer needed. Then this is goodbye then…"

And before any of them could even get in a goodbye, Mewtwo faded away, with only Sadness giving a soft whisper of "bye-bye".

"So…back to business guys?" asked Disgust.

"Yeah! I can't wait to check out the newly formed Debauchery Island." cheered Joy.

Back in the real world…

As Ash felt his mind clear, he felt a pair of lips on his own, pushing forth emotions of trust, friendship, and love, emotions from whom he instinctively knew was Misty. In response, he poured back his emotions on what he felt for her, their friendship, and subconsciously, his love for her, unknowingly allowing his Aura to touch her.

But as the need for air made itself known, the two teens pulled apart from their passionate make-out session, cerulean green eyes stared into brown with a new emotion held within them.

"Ash…"

"Misty…"

"Don't you EVER scare me like that! I thought I lost you!"

"I'm here Mist, I promise."

"Oh, Ash…" whimpered Misty as she returned to attacking the raven-haired teen's lips, holding on to his face as if he would suddenly cease to be. Ash in turn reciprocated with vigor, holding her close as he kissed her back, letting his heart guide him over his mind.

It was several minutes later that the teens eventually separated before promptly falling asleep, Misty held close within Ash's caring embrace.

Coincidently, Brock promptly woke up, back straight as he took in his surrounding, blinking several times at the sight of two of his best friends fast asleep, cuddled into each other. "What did I miss?"

Also, coincidently at the Ketchum Delight's restaurant kitchen back in Pallet town, Delia Ketchum had the oddest feeling; a sudden urge to question her son about grandbabies. Grandbabies? Grandbabies!

Unnoticed by anyone, a small purple twinkle of light left Ash's head, speeding westward towards only Arceus knew where.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Meanwhile, the Pokémon present silently observed their trainer and his soon-to-be girlfriend (the duo were for all intents and purposes dating – they just needed to formally declare it) cuddle together, fast asleep, exhausted from the mental toll of the day, not that anyone knew about what exactly went down in Ash's mind.

"Well, kisses of passionate true love apparently equal the power output of a Ten-Million-Volt Thunderbolt. Definitely a possible topic for my next thesis paper…" asked Hoothoot.

"Once they're married, then you have permission to get started on that."

"Alright."

"Ok people, somebody get me Anthony – let's get these lovebirds into a proper bed – don't want them waking up with a sore neck." Ordered Chikorita.

And thus, Anthony the Tauros, a master of Psychic (at least a master with regards to seeing the best investments in the stock market), used psychic to gently lift the two teens and bring them to a cozy master bedroom, locking the door to the two-way soundproof room.

The moment that Anthony returned, confirming the teens were fast asleep and wouldn't hear a thing, all the Pokémon present promptly freaked out.

"WOOHOO!" hollered Pichu at the top of his tiny lungs.

"I'm so proud of him – little Ash Ketchum's all grown up," spoke Bulbasaur as he shed tears of joy.

"He's a man! He's a man!"

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

Five minutes of anime tears of joy, trumpets being blown, and wedding plans by Cyndaquil put to a halt due to a current lack of funds later, the Pokémon present got down to business. Though they immediately noticed Pichu clutching his tiny little head in agony.

"Pichu. Since you're the only one who's been to Pallet town so far, what's the state of our operations-you alright mate?"

"Oww…gimme a minute guys…

Wait…wait…holy titties! Where the fuck did that come from!"

"Commander?" asked Totodile.

"I don't know how, but all of a sudden, I have memories of shit that happened after the Manalo conference, like, where the hell did that come from? Like I remember running into Dawn and the Team Galactic escapees doing crazy shit and-"

"Ok…I think you're now remembering the stuff that happened during the blackout, something that I did not expect," interjected Hoothoot.

"What blackout?"

'This is gonna take a while… thought Bulbasaur.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

"So long story short, Ash and I have been missing for almost seventeen months according to you guys, with little to no evidence of our whereabouts, along with the world slowing getting fucked up during that time." sighed Pichu.

"That's a serious oversimplification, but ok." snorted Turtwig.

"This is great and all, but we need to set a timeline for what happened between the Manalo conference and when we woke up in the past if we're gonna make some plans," stated Bulbasaur.

"Ok.

So after Alola, Ash decided to become a research assistant to a new Pokémon Professor, one Prof. Cerise in Vermillion City-"

"You guys were just a few hours away and we didn't even know!" swore Bulbasaur.

"Yeah…I blame Ho-oh - maybe her wish mumbo-jumbo started seriously affecting me or something - we'll never know…

But yeah, we were traveling all over the world researching Pokémon, which led to Ash signing up for the World Coronation Series, where we battled a lot of cool trainers - our latest ranking before the time jump was rank #9 after we defeated Drasna of the Kalos Elite Four."

"Damm, that's impressive mate!" smiled Chimchar.

"I know. But that wasn't all we did - we had a few additions to our family - Dragonite, Gengar, Lucario, Sirfetch'd, Dracovish - I can't wait for us to find them -"

"Actually, we've already met one of them," answered Fletchling, leaving the conference hall only to return moments later with a Riolu in tow.

"Lucario? Well, this day just keeps getting better!"

"Brother Pikachu! Am I glad to see you! Where is father?"

"Ash is asleep - we'll fill him in the morning.

But yeah, Riolu, or as he was in the previous timeline, a Lucario, one whom I might add wielded a Lucarionite, was a powerhouse; actually, the entire Galar team - I'm calling this group of Pokémon the Galar team because we've got two of the five from Galar-"

"Meh, it works I suppose," answered Hoothoot.

"Ok. Moving on.

We dealt with the remnants of Team Galactic alongside Brock, Dawn, and Champion Cynthia, though I don't know what their fates were seeing as you guys didn't intervene.

We also befriended a twelve-year-old who was obsessed over catching Mew and thought it was a good idea, and Ash just said that was awesome, another consequence of the wish. And for some insane reason that's most likely once again due to the wish, I didn't pull off protocol 3.1.1 – neutralize all threats to a legendary Pokémon.

"Wait, doesn't that sound overkill for a kid?" asked Pidove.

"It's only overkill if the kid's younger than ten – after that age, anything is possible. Especially when it comes to Mew, I'm not taking any chances."

"Fair enough – If Ash can see a legendary on day one of his journey as a ten-year-old, then the chances of somebody else encountering a legendary at that age, while minuscule, does exist."

"What else happened?" asked Cyndaquil.

"For now though, that'll all the major points I've got for you guys - there's definitely a lot more shit to cover, but nothing major that needs to be immediately addressed - I'll file a report with the details for you guys to go over with a fine tooth comb later."

"Ok. But one last question - what was the last day you remember before the time jump with your new memories?" asked Hoothoot.

"Well, I think it was the second week of December - what was the exact date Riolu?"

"December 8th, 2021, brother Pikachu."

"Yeah, so we were at Slateport City that day, where Ash battled Wallace and got a second Rain badge, and oh, we ran into Serena that evening when we were about to leave Slateport. And after that, well…I remember nothing."

"Hmm…that does seem to be in line with the blank void that we all remember from the early hours of December 9th, 2021, for us back in Pallet town, roughly the same time after accounting for the difference in time zones," replied Hoothoot.

"So…we all now have memories up until D-Day," muttered Pichu.

"D-Day?" asked Bulbasaur with uncertainty on his face.

"Seeing as that is the last day that all of us know of, would it be too far off to presume that that was the day that reality went poof, and the cycle of the universe was reset." replied the electric type.

"Well, that's depressing. Moving on!"

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

"Now, shift our focus to the assets we currently have. Pichu? What's the status of our base at Pallet town?"

"Well, I'm sorry to say that the H.U.B.B.E.R and everything within it no longer exists, so…this aircraft is pretty much all we've got in terms of a base of operations. Ran into Krabby on day one and got him started on digging up something, but that's gonna take quite a while with just two plastic toy shovels…"

"So we've traded in an 80 km2 underground military bunker equipped to the gills with everything an army would ever need that also functioned as a storage facility that contained nearly all our resources, the most important of which were a library with at least sixty thousand books, sixteen metric tons of solid gold ingots, nearly a metric ton's worth of 30-carat diamonds, two billion Unovan dollars in cash, five Gulfstreams, four F4-Phantoms, and a Chinook helicopter for a former USSR cargo aircraft enlarged and modified into fully armed airborne strike base, a single Unovan F-15 Eagle, and an Apache helicopter. Fuck." swore Bulbasaur. "What about Mr. Mime?"

"Even though he's now actually Delia's Pokémon, he still knows his primary mission, aside from being Mama Ketchum's assistant at the restaurant, which is now known as Ketchum delights instead of the Pallet House, which she inherited from her mother-in-law, not her mother, so…more odd changes," answered Pichu.

"So more new stuff. Ok then, once communications systems one, two, and three are online, I want intel people, intel on everything in this timeline.

Communications & Intelligence team – Turtwig, Cyndaquil, you're up. I want a game plan on what we need to do for the next six months at the very least. Field team – dammit! We don't have any intel on well, anything, which means we can't get jack shit done! Ok, what next?

Riolu! You're now assigned the status of Trainee under Chimchar - I've got a general idea of how a Lucario battles and Chimchar will be able to get you up to speed regarding your fighting type abilities. Once you've proven your capabilities, you'll be assigned a formal rank, dependent on Chimchar's evaluation of your performance.

Meltan! Just like Riolu, you're also assigned the status of Trainee under Charmeleon. I've seen footage of your firepower as a Melmetal from the Manalo Conference, and you will train under Charmeleon, after which you'll eventually be assigned a formal rank and transferred over to Snorlax's supervision once we find him and you evolve. Understood!"

The head Meltan, at least the one that Ash caught with a Poké ball in the previous timeline, approached the Grass-type with what appeared to be a puzzled expression on its face (Pichu wasn't exactly sure – it was difficult to discern the emotions of a face that consisted of a single beady eye and a hex nut).

"So…if I evolve, then I get a promotion?" asked the hex nut Pokémon.

"Well…in simplicity, yes, though you would need months of conditioning and training to do so," replied Charmeleon.

"Ok then. Follow me!"

Bulbasaur, Pichu, and Brock, who had just woken up, alongside a few other curious Pokémon, followed the tiny steel type to the hangar where the rest of the Meltan sat.

"Boys! It's time to go big!"

And with that prompt, the one hundred tiny Pokémon shuffled around, forming two concentric circles with the head Meltan at the center.

And as they danced in sync, Pichu suddenly recalled the exact motions from the Manalo Conference.

"Bulby. You're in for a treat." smiled Pichu.

Suddenly, a discharge of electricity was building amongst the hex nut Pokémon, and as it reached its peak, it completely enveloped them, changing from golden plasma to the color of evolution blue, forming a blob that rapidly gained height to an astounding eleven feet tall, revealing a now evolved Melmetal.

"So. Whatd'ya think?" asked the newly evolved steel type, flexing his metallic arms.

"That is one impressive evolution alright." remarked an impressed Brock.

"I think I'll enjoy having you on the strike team." chuckled Charmeleon.

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

"Umm…Bulbasaur? Where exactly are we now?" asked Brock, having been quiet the entire time.

"Let me ask Totodile, Oye Tode's! Where are we now?"

"We're in Kanto airspace, just a few miles away from Vermillion City!"

"Ok. Then how long would it take to get back to Pewter – Mom's gonna freak out if I'm not back home in the next hour.

"We'll be there in fifteen."

"And somebody get me my cybernetic eye-patch!" hollered Bulbasaur missing his favorite toy (the eye-patch that in the previous timeline functioned as a lens that gave him x-ray, thermal, and radiation detecting vision when worn) (and yes, with that, he would finally become Nick Fury – he ran a secret organization, finally had a flying base of operations, and even wore an eyepatch! Now all he needed was a Bulbasaur-sized black trench coat…WHERE WAS HIS TRENCH COAT!).

X - - - X - - - X - - - X - - - X

After having dropped off Brock, the group decided to find a place to land for the night and were fortunate enough to stumble upon a clearing just a few miles away from Pewter City.

Though while they had operations to soon go ahead with, there were a few things that needed to be done, namely setting up shop at or near Prof. Oak's ranch and getting a lot of Poké balls – most of them were rare Pokémon (specifically not native to Kanto) and those like Bulbasaur or Squirtle while native, were still a rare sight. So, first thing in the morning, remind Ash to get some Poké balls ASAP!

Thousands of miles away at a corporate office in a bustling metropolis, a well-known but mysterious public figure was reading through some reports, his mind pondering over other matters. But interrupting his musings was his secretary, appearing with a folio in hand.

"Sir. Mr. Thaddeus from accounting asks that you read this urgently" the blond secretary asked, placing the folio in hand on his desk.

"Thank you, Ayla. You may go."

It was several minutes after she left that the mysterious man looked over the folio, finally noticing what was so urgent.

"Hmm…it appears that either the good Doctor is skimming from the top…or that something else is afoot…" muttered the figure, tossing the folio on his desk, the lone document within coming loose, revealed to be a bank statement with a transaction of five million Unovan dollars from an account that only the Doctor had access to.
