DISCLAIMER
NOTE: I am aware that the entire series is not finished yet. With the potential number of changes in the canon, this story will be an AU (Alternate Universe) that combines both elements and characters from Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, while adopting some actual new elements from the canon. This story is also not too "Lore-Friendly" (aka not being too accurate to the world of the Canon.) So, be warned if some inaccurate information in this AU may make you cringe.
In regard to The Magne Family being renamed into The Morningstar Family, I will be sticking to "The Magne Family" as it's what I'm used to during the development and writing of this story. If it gets in the way too far for most of my readers, I can make an exception and fix it to "Morningstar". Just let me know.
Both shows along with their characters DOESN'T belong to me. The series respectively belongs to SpindleHorse and its creator, Vivienne Medrano (aka "VivziePop".) The plot in this Fan Fiction and some characters you'll know who are OCs (Original Characters) are original from me. Chapter 6: Royalty Pains.
Royal pain in the ass, amiright?
-(Stolas' Mansion; Pentagram City, Pride Ring)-
(Morgan's POV)
Three days have already passed ever since martial law was declared.
Due to the importance of my position, I was traveling across Pentagram City a lot more actively than I did when I was a Major. It was mainly just inspecting the Royal Guardsmen working with the Magne Family, The Seven Deadly Sins, Ars Goetia Royals, and the Exalted Overlords close to the Magne Family. Although it was a bit tiring driving here and there, the only upside was that I was getting overpaid in this job. Three times more than my previous position, which was a TL (Team Lead) for a squad in the Counterterrorism Pack. Still, it would be nice having some action in the field than working in the office and the safe spaces of Hell. That was mainly my Marine and WarDog side craving for it, but I think I'll get used to this lifestyle over time.
Other than that, I was given special orders to remain in Hazbin Hotel to act as temporary protection for Charlie alongside First Sergeant Melodie Elise, a member of Vermilion Squad from the Marine Pack. Sadly, this means I won't be able to spend some quality time with Marcela until things get better or everything else is sorted out. When I told her about my orders, she was a bit torn but completely understood how these situations go. No use complaining when we're the dogs for the royal military. Even if that means I must stay inside Charlie's establishment for an entire day.
Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to get out of the hotel.
I was summoned to Prince Stolas' residence under the orders of Major General Damiens himself. However, arriving back to the mansion I visited yesterday to both introduce myself to Stolas and inspect his guardsmen was a bit odd. Everything was in check from both his security measures and the surroundings of the compound was clear of any suspicious activity. But my question to why I was sent back was answered during my ongoing phone call with Major General Damiens.
"Why would he need additional protection? Isn't that what his royal guards are for?"
"Prince Stolas would much rather have a WarDog present there. You know, for his ex-wife."
I raised an eyebrow while I saw the front gate open with a white limousine passing through. "How bad is Princess Stella?" I asked, having no experience with meeting her.
Damiens sighed and basically answered with two words, "Foxtrot Bravo."
Translation: Fucking Bitch.
"Noted…" I gritted my teeth to a dry smile, knowing I'll be dealing with one of those royal pain in the asses. No pun intended. "I shouldn't be surprised, since General Calinao openly stated that I'll be dealing with these kinds of folks in the detail…"
"He sums it up perfectly for those who are climbing up the ranks. Field Officers and Generals deal with politics and people more than the battlefield most times in their service."
"I'm assuming you've been through this sort of thing countless times before?" I asked curiously.
"Ever since before the day you were born. I've dealt with a lot of nasty individuals. Both from Hell's Ars Goetia Royals and Overlords, as well as people during both Trump's Administration and Biden's Administration years back in the US. But Stella, she's a special kind of walking disaster." He warned with a dry chuckle. "Best of luck to you, Colonel."
"Understood." I hung up and looked at Stolas nervously as I never got to encounter her.
Feeling the same way as I felt, Stolas rubbed his temples and let out a long sigh. "I hate this part." He said while the limousine approached closer to the front.
"I haven't even met her yet and I already feel you…"
As soon as the limousine pulled up at the driveway and the backseat door opened, first came the luggage being thrown out. Then the bottles of alcohol; most of which were empty, the glass cups used for them, and the poor imp butler that accompanied the walking disaster herself. Poor guy… Then, Stella stepped out and already let out her screeches that were as loud as a drill instructor and some "Karen" going through a psychotic episode combined. All aimed towards Stolas, who was dodging, blocking, and soon taking in her verbal insults as if he was used to it. The last one out was their daughter, Octavia. She was rather unfazed by her mother's psychotic screeches and Stolas' snarky replies towards her. Mainly because her headphones were one of those expensive brands with the best noise-cancelling features. That and possibly blasting her choice of music was probably more than effective.
Not wanting to get closer to their family matters, I walked up to the front of the vehicle and told them to roll down their window. As soon as the passenger did so, he gave a salute as a greeting. "How was she?" I asked about Stella to the driver and passenger, who were a part of the Royal Guards.
The driver let out a long huff while his buddy in the passenger seat chuckled while shaking his head. "Stella is a helluva handful." He answered.
I chuckled back and reached for my pocket to give them some money as a tip, since I knew Stella wouldn't have the courtesy to do that. "Here. Buy yourselves some drinks after you drop her off."
"Thank you, Glory Hound." The passenger smiled and took the money while the driver bowed his head to display his thanks too.
With that out of the way, I looked over at Stolas and Stella's daughter and pointed at her two pieces of luggage. "Do you need any assistance, Ms. Octavia?"
"It's fine. I got it. Thanks." She frowned while not giving me any sort of eye contact, but rather focused on her phone and headset blasting her music.
Makes me wish I had some headphones myself as Stella's obnoxiously loud yelling was now twice as loud due to her anger boiling up even higher with Stolas' insults. At this point, it almost seemed like he was just about to completely ignore her, which was obviously not letting her back down. I attempted to step in to stop the argument to prevent any further harm, but it was completely ineffective as Stella just accidentally swiped her arm to her side, resulting in me getting whacked on my chest. Luckily, my hidden pistol didn't have a bullet in the chamber and was in safe mode. But she felt it and shook her hand around as if it hurt her.
"Fucking hell! And who in the hell is this man? Another one of your playthings?" Stella asked Stolas while glaring down at me with absolute disgust. "The fact that I have just touched you underlings makes me want to sanitize my hand. THOROUGHLY."
Oh boy… And here I thought Marcela on her period was bad enough… Having to show as much respect as possible, I saluted to Stella because of her position in Ars Goetia Royalty. "Colonel Adler. WarDog Advisor for the Royal Guard. A pleasure to meet you."
"That makes one of us. And it most certainly isn't me." She rolled her eyes and swiftly turned her back on me. "Overall, you don't look like much."
"Your opinion to me is irrelevant, ma'am." I replied while still holding up my poker face. "All that matters is how I do my job. Even if that means you have to follow my directions for your safety."
"Tch." She clicked her tongue.
Stolas took offense to this more than I did and huffed at his ex-wife. "The least you can do is show some respect towards our men and women in uniform! Especially for the man in charge of our security too!"
She rolled her eyes and shook her head at me. "I'll start to show some "RESPECT" when he earns it."
"Suuure. Because a WarDog that has been through enough hellish training and combat while still protecting your sorry ass is still not deserving enough to meet up with your laughably high standards!" He countered.
"At least my ass is fantastic." She chortled.
Stolas laughed and shook his head. "Based on personal experience, I beg to differ."
"How fucking dare you…"
With that, Stella raised her hand up in an attempt to strike Stolas while he was already aware and prepared to dodge her attack. Instead, my instincts kicked in as I went directly in front of Stolas and grabbed Stella's wrist in time to prevent the strike from happening. I easily restrained it as her strength was not on par with mine. Her expression went from anger to shock with a mix of anger for my interference. My expression remained in that same stoic glare as I didn't want to show too much aggression towards a higherup like her.
"You…" She snarled, "you had the audacity to touch me?!"
"Make sure to wash your hands, Colonel…" Stolas made a snarky comment, quietly.
"Sir, please. Let's…not piss her off even more…" I whispered back and looked directly into Stella's enraged expression. My hand still tightly gripped her wrist in order to hold her in place and try to respectfully show more authority. "With all due respect, ma'am. It may be my duty to ensure the higher classes get proper protection from those who have ill intentions. But that doesn't mean it's strictly limited to the social classes below you. Royal Guardsmen, and as their WarDog Advisor, are permitted to intercept any further violence even among your own. Now, please, refrain from any further violence. Or else I'm going to have to detain you."
Everything around us seemed like it all stopped. The wind was no longer blowing, the distant noises from the city were silent, and none of us spoke a single word. Honestly, I was expecting her to go physical on me as she does have her other hand available, and she'll suffer no consequence for it. But she didn't do anything.
"You really would protect such a vile cheater that was clearly not fit to be a Prince in the Ars Goetia?" Stella scoffed and shook her head. "Fine. It's not worth using my energy on something as worthless as Stolas."
With that, I let go of her wrist and remained standing in between them just in case they both lash out again.
Stella rolled her eyes and rubbed her wrist. "I'll give you credit. You sure have more balls than my spineless ex-husband. Most of the time, Stolas would just take the hits like a little bitch." She folded her arms and glared directly at me this time. "But NEVER touch me again!"
"Understood." I nodded.
"I expect you to, Colonel." Stella snarled and turned her back on me harshly where her feather-like hair almost whacked me in the face.
"Fucking harpy." I whispered after she went inside to get what she wanted in the mansion.
Stolas let out a sigh and shook his head at his ex-wife's attitude towards me. "I am terribly sorry you had to endure that."
I chuckled and shook my head. "Don't worry so much about me, sir. I've dealt with worse demons like her."
"Hearing you confirm something worse than Stella exists is quite terrifying…" He shuttered and gave a small chuckle afterwards. "You seemed to have handled that pretty well. I was expecting her to just hit you instead of me."
"So, I wasn't the only one thinking that." I mumbled quietly and suddenly felt my phone ring and vibrate in my pocket.
With that, Stolas nodded his head and made his way towards his residence. "I'll leave you to your phone call. Speaking of which, I'm going to have to make a call myself too." He grinned and powerwalked inside.
Since it was coming from my work phone, I answered it without hesitating as usually receiving calls from it is always something important. I remained outside in front of Stolas' mansion as Stella's limousine was still parked in the driveway.
"Colonel Adler speaking." I spoke first when accepting the call.
"Morgan." A deep male voice called me by my first name, "just checking up on you and your new job."
The voice was familiar to me as it was coming from the man that served as my commander back when I was in the Counterterrorism Pack. "Brigadier General Durant. Congratulations on the promotion, sir." I told him first.
"Thank you, Colonel." He replied proudly. "Major General Damiens just relayed to me that you're at Prince Stolas' residence, correct?"
"Yes, sir. He just wanted someone to make sure his ex-wife wouldn't do anything rash while transferring their daughter back to his custody."
Durant sighed and let out a short chuckle. "Princess Stella treating you well?"
"Negative. I think she hates me already." I chuckled back. "But my job isn't to make sure everyone likes me. I'm just hoping she doesn't mistreat other personnel this badly."
"She always treats them like shit. Even towards one of the WarDog's best." He told me with an unpleasant tone. "I'm surprised Tim can handle such vile people like her and some other royals."
I shrugged my shoulders and chortled. "He did tell me he's been through this sort of thing countless times before I existed. He's probably numb to it all by now. But that reminds me…"
"Hmm?"
"Now that you're a Brigadier General, have you already been assigned to a new duty just like the rest of us?"
Durant paused for a moment, but just answered with, "It's still being determined if I am able to lead this brigade they were thinking of putting me in command of."
"There's quite a lot of them in our military. So, there's more room for you to take charge of if the current proposal got denied."
"Indeed. So, what about you? WarDog Advisor and all." He said, "You still staying in the Princess' Hotel for the time being?"
My head automatically just gave a nod, even though it was just during a phone call. "Yes, sir. The orders came from King Lucifer and Major General Damiens themselves. First Sergeant Melodie Elise is also accompanying me there to provide security for the Princess because of Queen Lilith."
"Interesting." He cleared his throat and sounded like he puffed up a cigar on the phone. "That aside, the reason why I called you is because I will be dropping by the Princess' hotel in the afternoon. So, once you're done there with Stolas, you and I might meet up there."
"No problem, General. Important meeting with Charlie?"
"Just verifying for myself that the hotel is all safe and sound." He replied. "Calling the Princess by her first name already, hmm?"
I chuckled and sheepishly looked in one direction when he noticed that. This was why I wanted to get used to calling Charlie by her title and not her first name only. It might cause suspicions among military service members. Especially towards senior officers like myself. "Well, she was quite insistent the more I tried to call her by the title alone. But it's nothing special. It's just something she prefers."
"Well, you know the rules when you're at work with her. Behind the scenes is fine though, I suppose."
"I guess…" I said while walking up the stairs to Stolas' front entrance. "Anyway, if there's anything else, best to tell me now. I'm going to have check up on Stolas if he needs any other assistance while I'm here."
"That'll do from here, Colonel. I'll let you get back to it."
"Roger. Have a good morning, Brigadier General." I said before hanging up.
Making my way to the door, the butler that was forcefully tossed out by Stella stood there and opened it for me. Feeling some sympathy for what he has to endure and what he just went through, I passed him a generous amount of money that I still had in my pocket and walked into the atrium. Stella was seen across the other side of the glass windows, walking around while talking on her phone loud enough to hear her muffling even from a distance. She noticed my glance and sharpened her eyes to a glare before I could practically hear her click her tongue at me distastefully. Turning her head away from me, I ignored her insults and focused on finding Stolas, where I could hear some activity and his humming coming from the kitchen. So, I went there and peeked in to confirm he was there near the corner while digging through one of his cabinets.
After waiting for a few seconds for him to close the cabinet he was looking through, I asked, "Prince Stolas? Was there anything else you need?"
"Err…do you mind staying here until Stella takes her leave?" He asked while biting his lip nervously. "The last thing I would want to deal with is a stubborn woman refusing to leave just because she's glued to her phone as always."
"Affirmative. No problems with that." I bowed.
"Oh dear!" Stolas came to a realization as soon as he opened a new cabinet. "Would you mind bringing over some breakfast upstairs for Octavia? I don't think my good for nothing ex-wife would have the consideration to feed her daughter early." He sighed as he saw Stella on the phone outside the kitchen window this time. "She much prefers oatmeal in the morning."
"Of course." I bowed and went over to him to grab hold of the packets of oats.
Stolas grabbed his phone and began to dial the number he had to contact. "You are free to grab some yourself too. Or do you prefer something else? It's the least I can do for summoning you over at my residence this early."
"I'll just grab some oatmeal too. I do need the fiber anyway. Thank you!"
"Whatever you do, do NOT add water instead of milk." He cringed at the thought rather harshly. "We're all civilized demons here. The milk is in the top level near the yogurt."
I couldn't help but chuckle at his strict rule of something that specific. "Got it, Sir."
Heading over to the fridge, I opened it and immediately began to look through the fridge, which was mostly filled with comfort food more than anything considerably expensive. Something I didn't expect from a Prince like Stolas. But I digress. I found the milk, which seemed to be the only carton left and grabbed hold of it. Curiously, I checked the expiration date and was rather a bit disturbed upon realizing something. No, it wasn't expired. And no, it wasn't soy milk.
It was… "Bovine Demon Girl Milk".
THEY SELL THIS DOWN HERE?!
And why does Stolas have this?!
Speaking of him, I heard Stolas' embarrassed chuckling as he was looking at what I discovered. "Hehe…sorry. That milk was actually my sweet imp's when he was visiting here…"
"Shit! My cowgirl milk!" I heard over the phone speaker.
"Now, don't worry, my little Blitzy." Stolas chortled and leaned against the counter. "I'll be sure to compensate for it by getting you a new one. IF you come over~!" He said seductively to negotiate with him.
"Ugh. Well, considering how fucking expensive that is compared to regular milk, I suppose."
"So, you'll come over~?!" He asked excitingly.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just keep your pants on, Stolas."
"Oh, I will. But I don't think they will be on once you arrive here~…"
Ignoring the supposedly two lovebirds, I grabbed two mugs and poured in the oatmeal and…the milk before setting them up in the microwave. "Oh well. It's still milk anyway, I guess." I assured myself.
After waiting ninety seconds for it to be finished, I grabbed the two mugs and placed a spoon into each of them before heading out the kitchen and making way to the bedrooms to find Princess Octavia's. The mansion was almost vacant and slightly messy, but I wasn't sure if that was because of Stolas not tidying the place up a bit, or because Stella passed by here earlier. But as soon as I saw one of the butlers down the hall, he took notice of the mess and intervened as he and I exchanged a small greeting before focusing on our tasks. Instead of asking where Octavia's room was, my question was answered as soon as I saw her labeled door to her bedroom. Trying to avoid getting the oatmeal cold, I knocked on her door slightly to try and get her attention. But there was no response nor did the door even slightly open. Maybe she didn't hear me due to the music blasting in her headset. So, I knocked again.
"Octavia? You in there, miss?" I called out slightly vocally this time.
I heard a small audible sigh from the other side of the door as a few seconds later, it opened with Octavia giving a rather annoyed look on her face. "Oh…you again. What did you need…?"
"Breakfast? Your father wanted me to give you this to make sure you ate something this morning." I handed over her mug, which had a much more generous amount of oatmeal and that questionable milk.
She slowly gazed down at the steaming mug and spiritlessly took it from me.
While she was doing this so…apathetically, my eyes slowly averted away from her and soon began to scan her room. If I had to characterize what her room was like, it was both mellow and yet melancholy due to the style and colors. But the detail that seemed to outshine those two was how many stars were placed in the ceiling just as much as her bed curtains had. It almost seemed like it was a mini planetarium at this point. Actually, I even recognized some constellations that you wouldn't see in the Hellish skies. Like Pegasus, Aquila, the two Ursas, Orion, and many others from the north and south hemisphere.
"It's illegal to look into my room…" Octavia interrupted with a glare at me for scanning her bedroom through her open door.
Illegal? That's a bit of a stretch. But, regardless, I snapped out of my prying eyes and bowed. "My apologies. It's just…aren't those constellations you would see from Earth?" I asked, noticing some more of the patterns and shapes I recognized. "Why do you have them in your room when you don't visit that world?"
"It's…a long story… I'm more familiar with the Plutonian Constellation and such. But ever since I went to Earth this one time, it peaked my interests…" She said while avoiding eye contact, but suddenly realized something before looking up at me. "Hold on, how do you know those stars are from Earth?"
I smiled a little bit and averted my gaze for a moment. "Well, that's where I was from before getting sent down here in Hell."
"So, you're a sinner. I didn't know." She realized and looked back at her starry decorations. "How long has it been since you left?"
"Five years." I answered. But in the back of my mind, I was hoping she wouldn't ask how I was sent here. It was a pretty uncomfortable subject.
"Huh. Interesting…" Octavia shrugged and took the first spoonful of her oatmeal, which she seemed to enjoy immensely. "Hmm~! What kind of milk is in this?" She asked.
I'm not sure if she was aware of it being in their fridge due to her absence. So. I just answered, "…just…you know, milk…"
"What do you mea-…"
Her question was suddenly interrupted as the ringtone and vibration from her phone went off in her pocket. Fortunately, I wouldn't have to explain about how she was eating oatmeal with some…demonic breast milk. I still can't fathom that such a thing exists down here…
Octavia swiftly took out her phone with one hand and answered with, "Hello?"
"Octavia! I just got word that you returned back to your father's house." A familiar female voice said on the line, which I could hear almost clearly. "Just wanted to check up on you."
With that, Octavia formed a small smile as she leaned against the door frame. "It's always much better getting back to my dad's mansion than my mum's. Especially when that one parent is actually paying attention to you." She rolled her eyes, which I assume she was talking badly about Stella's negligence. "Now that he's here with me this time, we might plan on going out to town after a while."
"That's good!" The voice said back delightfully. "It's always nice to hear you finally going out much more than before. I would accompany you, but I think you and your dad should spend some quality time together."
She smiled a little bit more widely and shrugged. "Sometime this week, we can go to Central Star again. If Vaggie wants to accompany you, she can come along too."
"Are you talking to Charlie…?" I asked to verify if my suspicions were true about the voice sounding familiar and the mentioning of Vaggie.
Octavia looked up at me and sheepishly looked away after a few seconds, embarrassed for smiling in front of me over a phone call. "Yeah. Sorry about that…"
"Wait, Colonel Adler?" Charlie's voice on the phone sounded completely surprised. "You're at Stolas' mansion again?!"
"I am." I replied back with Octavia putting her phone on speaker to let her hear my response. "He needed someone other than his Royal Guards to watch over him if Stella would go all out on him…"
Then, a small giggle was heard on the line before I was greeted with a much more energetic and familiar voice. "Hi, Colonel~! I'll have your lunch ready once you get back!"
Charlie, who was heard sighing and chuckling behind the voice, regained control of the call at her end. "Yeah, that's good. Just remember to tell Melodie about hers too." She told the culprit prying into the call.
"Was that Niffty?" I chuckled.
"Yeah. Sorry about that…" Charlie sighed followed by the same chuckle too.
"It's fine. Just let the little "shortcake" know I said, "Thank you"."
"Shortcake?" Charlie snickered.
"What? She's short, and she's sweet as a cake."
Nifty didn't seem to mind that nickname as I could hear her giggling before I could no longer hear because of a vacuum machine going off.
"Anyway, you two know each other well?" I asked Octavia and Charlie on the phone.
"We do. I stay in close contact with the Ars Goetia Royals. Especially Octavia, who looks up to me for guidance ever since her parents divorced." Charlie answered.
Octavia nodded slightly and looked away shyly. "Sometimes it's good to talk to others like her when things get…hairy."
Charlie giggled. "A young Princess like you is going to need the proper help she needs to prepare for her duties in the future."
I looked down at Octavia and gave her a warm smile. "It's good to know you at least have some help with you besides your father. I doubt your mom contributed anything, based on what I've heard and recently experienced with her."
She frowned and let out a sigh. "I'm guessing she caused you some trouble too?"
"That's why I was here. Your dad was understandably cautious of handling this alone when you arrived back at the mansion. Hell, she almost went physical, but I stopped her in time." I scratched my head while explaining everything to her.
"Oh my God. She didn't hurt you, did she?!" Charlie asked, fully concerned.
"She didn't. But even if she did, it's going to take a lot more than that to put me down."
"Still, I feel like I should apologize for my mum acting like this towards you." Octavia said while looking away with shame.
"You shouldn't be the one apologizing, Ms. Octavia." I assured her, "And don't worry so much about me. I've had my share of dealing with people like her. Both when I was still human, and now as a demon."
"Now that you mention it," Charlie spoke, "I'm more worried about Octavia dealing with those people herself."
"Given my position, that's still something I'm going to have to go through. The moment it's my time to run my father's duties after he steps down with the grimoire, I'll just be put into an arranged marriage and potentially deal with a husband that is unwilling to take his part seriously like my mother while also dealing with other royal families…" Octavia shook her head and crossed her arms uncomfortably. "And maybe when I have the child they want, he/she will have to go through the same pain I went through…"
"Aww don't be like that." Charlie said to try and comfort her a little. "Judging by how your dad is, I'm sure he'll do whatever he can to make sure he finds the best options you prefer in your life. All that's important to Stolas is you and your happiness more than his own."
I stepped in to try and comfort the poor young Princess too. "I'm sure Stolas didn't have that much help in his life to begin with. But just be glad you have his support along with Charlie's too. Hell, as an Advisor, I fully support your decisions equally as those two."
This was enough for Octavia's frown to turn into a small smile as she turned away to hide it from me.
Charlie giggled over the line. "I know you're smiling, Octavia~."
"Sh-Shut up…" She modestly chuckled back.
I couldn't help but let out a chuckle too. "Well, anyway, I think I've bothered Octavia long enough. I'll just leave it to the both of you now."
"Are you heading back to the hotel now, Colonel?" Charlie asked.
"No. Just going to stay here a little bit longer until Stella leaves."
"Actually," Octavia shyly gave a quick glance at me and asked, "since there's no rush…can you tell me more about the constellations seen from Earth…?"
Charlie could be heard snickering. "Oh you~! I had a feeling you would bring that up to Colonel Adler one day when you find out he's a WarDog Sinner."
"I-It's just something I want to understand more!" She said defensively. "More knowledge is power, after all…"
"I…don't know too much, but I can tell you what I do know." I agreed while bowing my head to her. "And, no offense, but what is it with girls and their obsession with astrology?"
"It's a hobby too, okay?!" Octavia blushed.
Universe Trivia
The Pride Ring is the largest of the Rings of Hell, with the Wrath Ring being second and the Sloth Ring being third. Sinners sent down to Hell are automatically put into and restricted to staying in Pentagram City, where it is most subjected to the yearly Extermination from Heaven's Exorcists. There have been reports of sinners who have escaped Pentagram City illegally to avoid the overpopulated city and the wrath of Exorcists once a year. However, Exorcists have no limitations when it comes to cleaning the Pride Ring. Which means they will still be hunted down OUTSIDE of Pentagram City. The only advantage for the escapees is that the Pride Ring can keep them hidden temporarily because of its size.
Unfortunately, illegal escapees would also have to deal with Hell's Royal Armed Forces trying to enforce the law to either send them back to Pentagram City, put them on trial, or even execute them. Regarding the Extermination Event, the military is strictly forbidden from intervening under the orders of King Lucifer himself. If a service member is married, their spouse is safe from getting exterminated if it's been verified.
Note: MARRIED. NOT JUST PARTNERS.
(Fun Fact: The breast milk joke is based on something that happened to me one time where I unknowingly poured a leftover glass (which I thought was mine) on my oatmeal. Yeah… some may think I'm lucky, but it was kind of gross…lol)
