Eda POV

Well, isn't this just great? The crazy warden just cut off my head and scared my human half to death!

" Eda! Are you okay?" Luz asks fearfully.

" Yeah. This just happens when you get older." I reply.

" Does it?" Luz asks, a slight hint of concern leaking into her voice.

" Finally. My guards could never catch you, but I knew if I took your pets toy, you'd come running." The warden says coldly. I watch in absolute horror as he crushes King's crown.

Luz POV

" NOOO! My power!" King cries. He backs up against my leg and buries his face into his hands, or are they paws? I glare at the warden, hoping that I look intimidating rather than pathetic.

" What do you want with me?" Eda demands angrily. " I've never actually broken any of your stupid laws! In front of you!" She adds.

Wait what? Did I hear her correctly? She hasn't broken any of his laws, in front of him. Oh my god. Why, Eda? Why are you like this?

" I want you to go out with me." The warden says, getting down on one knee with a bouquet of flowers that he pulled seemingly out of nowhere. Agh! Gross! Why would she ever go out with a guy like him?!

A few of guards in the background shout words of encouragement.

" You've always eluded our capture, always been the one who got away! I found that alluring." He says coldly. God, his voice is so gross!

" I hate everything you're saying right now." I spat.

" You stay out of this!" He shouts. I jump away from him as his arm stretches out towards me. I drop Eda's head as the wardens weird arm engulfs my torso. I am so screwed.

Eda POV

Shit! Luz! Please don't drop her, please don't drop her, please don't drop her!

The warden picks me up by the hair and dangles me in front of him like some sort of doll.

" So how about it? The most powerful with of the Boiling Isles and the feared Warden Wrath. We'd Be the strongest power-couple ever. I mean, it's not like you can say 'no' right now." He says coldly. I look up at Luz as she struggles to break free of the wardens grip, and then down at King, where he's being held by another guard. Dag nabbit, he's right. If I want to get the kids out of here safely, then I have to say yes.

" All right, Warden. You win. I'd just like to say something, first. Come closer." He moves his head in.

" No, just a little closer." I say again. He moves closer to me.

" Just a bit closer," I say one last time. He moves in again, and I tell him that's good before blowing a very spitty raspberry in his face.

" Agh! Impudent wench! Do you gave any idea how many germs are in your mouth?!" He shouts.

" Get over it! You had your guards stalk me, then you cut off my head! I am not going out with you." I snap.

The warden drops Luz as he wipes his face off from my saliva. I watch as she way to my staff, and while I don't know what she's doing, I know that she has this under control.

" If you don't accept then I have no choice but to destroy..." He's cut off by Luz hitting him over the head with Owlbert. Ha! Good girl, Luz!

" Nice." I tell her honestly.

She smiles and dodges two guards trying to grab her as my body grabs their hoods and pulls them over the eyeholes on their masks.

" Okay! We're going now!" Luz shouts.

She gets us on the staff and makes her best attempt to get us out of this hell hole.

" Gun it, Magic stick!" I shout. Just like that, we take off and get the heck outta here!

Luz POV

As we fly past the hundreds of cells, I realize that now I might be able to help the prisoners.

" Eda! Lend me a hand!" I call excitedly. I reach my right arm out and Eda places her hand in top of mine, and together we open up all the cells, effectively freeing the prisoners. As we fly away, I can't help but to look back at the people we freed. What will they do with their lives now that they're out of prison? Will they find happiness away from this horrible place?

A/N

So, what did you guys think? Took me long enough, and yes I am aware that I skipped the prison riot and all that, but it just wouldn't have added anything here, ya know? Next chapter, Luz is officially going to become Luz Noceda-Clawthorne. Yes, I am just hyphenating the last name. Luz's old family name meant so much to her still, so she kept it. Hope you liked this chapter, and the next one will be up soon!
