"She talks about him?"

"Without my keycard, I can't get inside it!"

"Give or take."

"We found Mr. Mills."

"So you know he's in this time period, just not where?"

"The Big Man is here?"

"He's always been here. He wants the you-know-what."

"Right now? It's not…"

*Dilophosaurus is shown jumping on several men, mauling them*

"Helga! Jonathan! What happened?!"

*Backland II could be seen entering the time vortex*

"Someone just took the Backland!"

"Who in the hell took the Backland?"

~Would you like me to play, 'I'm a Barbie Girl' over the loudspeakers?~ Chu-As the new A.I. to the D-Lab asks it's master.

Reese, however, was less than pleased, evident by the continuous facepalm she was giving as she leaned back in her chair. "Ed, what have you done?" she asks the fat man.

"I figured I could be useful and make an A.I. for you since it was on your To-Do list." Ed replies with a sympathetic shrug.

"Wait, Ed, you know how to work computers?" Zoe asks the chubby man.

"Oh yeah. Computers have always been my friends. They never hurt me like people do." Ed replies in a distraught tone, bad memories of his childhood passing through his mind.

~By the way, Ed, here is what you were searching for earlier today.~

"Uuuh… Japanese girls exchanging bodily fluids please." says a male voice over the computer as it switched to an unseen porn video.

"Yeah, Ed, you're definitely not allowed here anymore." Reese tells the fat man in her same stoic tone.

"It was a typo! I swear!" Ed tried to defend himself.

"Which part?" Zoe asks, not convinced by the lie.

"Seriously guys. Can someone get me a pair of glasses? I can't see anything." Rex says, squinting as hard as he could due to his impaired vision from the last chapter. All of a sudden, Reese had thrown her old glasses off screen which landed perfectly in front of Rex's eyes and ears. "Oh, that's better."

"You look… Uh… Yeah." Max says to his friend, failing to come up with a comparison.

"Where's Dr. Z and the others?" Ed asks, wondering where his family went.

"Long story short, Dr. Z went blind in Costa Rica and someone incapacitated Jonathan and Helga and hijacked the Backland so now Reese is trying her best to find which time period the Backland… well landed in." Rex explains, his eyes big due to the glasses. "Oh wow. I can actually see."

"Because Ed was busy downloading and installing the new A.I. known as Chu-As, we really need to change that name by the way, it completely restricted my access to the Backland temporarily." Reese says as she continues to type into her computer. "I'm completely out of the system. I don't have access to the TPS, security system, cameras, all that. Jonathan even allowed me to remote control the Backland if anything like this ever happened but… I just can't seem to get through."

"No wonder! It's not the A.I. restricting your access, it's the Backland itself! Look!" Ed points out to the corner of the screen.

The group turned to the corner of the screen to see words: BACKLAND ADMIN: CONTROL ALPHA ZETA: RESTRICTED.

"What does that mean?" Max asks, not having a single clue at all.

"It means whoever took over the Backland completely changed the Admin controls up there." Reese replies, typing away on her computer. "Not even the Ancients or the androids have access to it as of this moment. The only one who has access to it is the person inside the Backland itself." Right at that moment, a beep was heard from the screen. "Wait a minute. I'm getting something… That's weird."

"What is it?" Zoe asks her big sister.

"Well, I'm not sure but…" Reese turned around to face the group momentarily. "this says that Backland is… coming back… to our… time period?"

As if on cue, a loud BOOM! was heard outside, at first scaring everyone as they all simultaneously turned to the windows. There, in the sky was the Backland itself, coming out of a time vortex before stationing idling up in the sky before cloaking to hide itself.

"It's back!" Max shouts as Zoe runs over to the window.

Zoe squinted her eyes at the sky, noticing two figures fly from seemingly out of nowhere and further into the sky. Realizing this was her only chance, Zoe placed her camera goggles on her head and began taking photos of the two figures in the sky. However, because they were so far away, Zoe managed to only get a few pixels of the figures, whom appeared to be wearing black clothing while the sun concealed their faces.

"Two guys just flew out of the Backland." Zoe shares to the group as she rejoined her group.

"Two guys? Are you sure?" Reese asks, still working on trying to get access back to the Backland.

"You said they flew? How is that possible?" Spike asks frantically.

"I don't know but they were flying. Maybe… Maybe jet packs."

"That's impossible. Jet packs weren't invented until 2099… at least, that's what my dad said." Rex says to the group.

"You don't think someone took the Backland, flew into the future, grabbed jet packs, and flew back here? All of that… just for jet packs?" Max asks, everything not making any sense to him or his friends.

"Who knows." Spike suddenly says. "The Backland is capable of going through time. Who knows, maybe they spent 20 years into the future and flew back to this very moment." the paleontologist theorizes.

"I can't confirm without access to the TPS inside the Backland." Another beep was let out on the screen. "Oh my gosh. Finally."

"Did you get access, Reese?" Ed asks the blonde.

"Just to the security cameras. I managed to get access to them but it'll take some time before it downloads onto my computer. I'm still trying to get into the rest of the Backland's mainframe." Reese announces, still typing into her computer.

"How long will getting back into the Backland take?" Max asks.

"Could be all day. I'm not sure." Reese answers, her eyes fixated on the screen.

"All day?! That's going to take forever!" Max shouts in grand impatience.

Reese continued to type away on the computer as the security camera download was almost complete, the same stoic and emotionless expression still on her face. "Sun Tzu once said, 'If you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of your enemies will float by.'" Reese quoted.

Finally, the download was complete, as the screen changed to the security camera showing Helga and Jonathan sitting by the controls. At that moment, a hooded figure in a black hoodie came up from behind the two androids and slammed a sort of taser stick into the back of both of their necks, short circuiting them. Everyone gasped up seeing this horrible sight, albeit Reese whom continued to have her same stoic expression as she watched the Backland get hijacked by an unknown intruder.

"But those were brutal times." she finishes in a grim tone, watching the brutal hijacking take place in front of their eyes.

Dinosaur King: Prehistoric Peril

While Reese was busy trying to repair both Jonathan and Helga, the Ancients, more specifically Dr. Cretacia, was busy with trying to regain control of the Backland once more. Meanwhile, Max could be seen struggling trying to place a sort of contact lens into Rex's eye, much to his annoyance.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Rex shouts as he struggles to get out of his friend's tight grip.

"Stand still, Rex! This contact lens isn't going to put itself in!" Max shouts as he literally shoves the contact lens into Rex's eye.

"Again, ow!"

Reese continued to fix the destroyed circuits or whatever inside Jonathan's head as Helga could be seen idling sitting by waiting to be repaired. "I think I managed to fix the circuits. Dr. Cretacia, how's the Backland coming along?" Reese asks the older woman.

"Huh, look at that. Says here the Nigerian prince ordered the complete devastation of Nigerian villages and plans to build factories that will no doubt spread toxic chemicals into the air and poison the citizens of any surrounding area around the factories… Can you sue a prince by the way?" Dr. Cretacia asks aloud, hoping someone would answer her.

"Dr. Cretacia." Reese repeats herself, albeit in a more "slightly" annoyed tone.

"Oh! That's right!" Dr. Cretacia says as she suddenly logs out of her email. "Well, the best I can do is change Chu-As' name but so far I can't seem to alter his personality. Because the download was interrupted, it appears his files have been corrupted and-"

"Dr. Cretacia, I was asking about the Backland." Reese clarifies with lidded eyes, continuing to work on Jonathan without even looking.

"Oh, right." the married woman jokingly chuckled as her husband face palmed himself. "So far, I managed to gain back control of the admin system of the Backland. TPS, security cameras, phones, are all online aside from the audio. We can see whoever is in the control room but we can't hear them." The screen suddenly changed to multiple security cameras displaying whatever room they were built in, aside from one camera which was constant static. "Huh. That's weird."

"What's wrong?" Zoe asks her older sister.

"Ow!" Rex shouts as Max placed another contact lens inside his eye. "Oh wow. I can see now."

"The control room security camera is shut down. Could be a circuit problem." Dr. Cretacia theorizes as her husband leaned in closer.

"Can we gain access to the Backland yet though, honey?" Dr. Ancient asks his wife.

"Oh, of course… Maybe." Dr. Cretacia says in an uncertain tone, resulting in her husband growing lidded eyes in annoyance. "You see, the teleportation device will only work if it's targeting someone. We can't just stand underneath the Backland and just hope it'll beam us up there Star Trek. Someone needs to be up there with the controls but… Well, since no one is up there, it's just a sitting duck."

"A very large, metallic sitting duck that is able to fly through time… Sounds like a knock off movie." Max comments aloud.

Zoe suddenly snapped her fingers, an idea popping into her head. "I GOT IT!" she shouts in confidence.

"What're you thinking Zoe?" her sister asked, only to realize she had already run out the door. "Oh… Rude much."

Zoe exited the D-Lab and pulled out her DinoShot as well as Paris' card.

"DINO SLASH! GO, PARASAUROLOPHUS! BLOOM!"

Paris suddenly transformed into her full size self, roaring into the air as leaves flew all around her.

"METAL WING! Please, fly us up to the Backland!"

At that moment, the three Pteranodons showed up and landed on the ground in front of Zoe as the rest of the D-Team, basically Max and Rex along with their dads, ran outside. "Good idea, Zoe! Those Pteranodons will get us up there in no time! Now let's hurry before someone sees that thing up there!" Rex impatiently announces, pointing up to the literal spaceship- timeship, whatever.

Right at that moment, Francis literally walked into the scene out of nowhere, busy looking up at the Backland up in the sky. "Hey, are we being invaded by aliens or something?" he asks the three teens. He suddenly turned towards them, now finally noticing the large green Parasaurolophus standing idling in the middle of the road as the two locked eyes for what seemed like an eternity of silence. "Welp. Forget it." Francis dismisses, not wanting to deal with the nonsense he had just witnessed.

"Hurry! Let's get up there! The sooner we get up there, the sooner we can find out who hijacked the Backland!" Rex exclaims, blinking rapidly as he squinted into the sky. "Okay, seriously. These contacts are wonderful. I can see so clearly now."

"Speak for yourself." Dr. Z says, suddenly appearing out of nowhere with sunglasses and a walking stick.

The three teens watched as Dr. Z just casually walked passed them, taking note of the sunglasses and walking stick. "Is he… Is he blind?" Zoe asks in a cautious tone.

"Temporarily." says a voice.

The three teens turned to the side to see Zander and Ursula walking towards them, very tired expressions on their faces. Following behind them were Rod and Laura, whom had more casual, carefree expressions rather than the tired ones the duo had. "The optometrist said he's going to be blind for a few days due to the poisonous venom or whatever that Dilophosaurus spat at him. It's prehistoric spit, we're pretty much lucky it's not deadly " Ursula tiredly explains.

"I still don't trust that doctor. He tried to prescribe grandpa with steroids." Rod reveals.

"That wasn't a doctor. That was a drug dealer with an office." Rex comments on the bizarre comment.

"That explains a lot." Laura commented.

"Anyway, what happened to you guys?" Zoe asks, noting Zander's and Ursula's disheveled clothes and unkempt hair.

"Would you believe us if I said they somehow got trapped in a car wash?" Rod teasingly asks with a sly smile.

"Actually, yes, I would."

"How did that happen you guys?" Rex asks the duo.

"Don't ask." Was all Ursula said, too tired to even explain what happened.

"Okay."

"Can we go-"

"GET 'EM, BOYOOOOOOOOOOS!" Max suddenly loudly shouts as he gets on top of a Pteranodon.

Rex and Zoe followed shortly as the three Pteranodons flew high up into the air, leaving the Alpha Duo to themselves as they tiredly watched the kids fly into the sky.

"That looks like fun." Zander tiredly says, watching the three up in the sky.

"Wait! I forgot! I hate flying! I'm gonna hurl!" Rex could be heard shouting.

"Whatever you do, aim it at Francis' house." Max was heard afterwards.

"You sure about that?" Ursula responds to Zander's previous statement.

"Guys! Guys!" Ed's voice was heard as he wheelchaired (yes, i'm coining that now) his way towards his two allies. "You're never going to believe this! Someone hijacked the Backland and disabled Jonathan and Helga and flew into the future but came back two minutes later!"

"Huh… Wonder how that Chinese Colonel is doing." Zander says as he and Ursula strut right passed Ed.

"Ah, who cares. He's probably wasted all his money on megaphones anyway." Ursula responds as Ed watches his two friends leave him.

"Wait. What Chinese Colonel?" Ed asks no one in particular as he was left all alone.

"Someone took the Backland?" Rod asks as he and his sister turned to the sky. "Doesn't look hijacked to me."

"He did say it came back two minutes later." Laura replies.

"Honestly, I'm just worried about grandpa. Twice today he tried to eat Viagra pills he thought were Skittles." Rod says as he and his sister begin to walk away.

"What's Viagra?" Laura asks as the two disappeared from Ed's earshot.

"Maybe I need Viagra pills." Ed comments to himself, seriously pondering on the potential decision.

One by one, the three Pteranodons landed on top of the Backland swiftly, except for Max, whom got crushed by his Pteranodon probably due to poor piloting skills. "Did you know that Pteranodons aren't technically dinosaurs so this is probably a huge middle finger to me." Max grumbles in pain.

"I'll show you a huge middle finger… Not now but like later." Zoe retorted.

"Thanks. I'm looking forward to it."

Rex meanwhile was busy trying to open up a secret hatch to the Backland, only to come to the stunning conclusion that, "It's locked!" he cried out.

"Well that sucks." Max says as he stands up while Zoe recalled her dinosaur… and reptiles.

"Actually, that's kind of good if you think about it. It means no one can break into the Back- Wait a minute."

"Hold on, I thought your mom said that in order for someone to get inside the Backland, they need to be beamed up from the control room?" Max asks, suddenly realizing a major hole in this entire situation.

"Yeah." Rex answers.

The two of them stared at each other for a few awkward seconds before Max spoke up again. "So?"

"So what?"

"So how did the hijacker get inside in the first place? Why would Jonathan beam up a total stranger into the Backland?"

Rex pondered for a moment, trying his hardest to come up with an answer. Though Max did raise a good point: why would his trusted android butler whom is deeply loyal to the Ancients beam up someone he didn't even know to begin with. It would go against everything he was programmed to do, and they knew for a fact that both androids were disabled after the hijacker came on board.

"That's something we need to ask him ourselves later but right now, our main concern is getting inside." Rex answers.

"Okay, how do we get inside the- OH MY! Chomp! Where'd you come from?!" Zoe screams as she suddenly turned around to see a fully sized Chomp behind her.

"What? You didn't hear me summon him?" Max asks, holding his DinoShot in his hand.

"NO!"

"Oh… Well I summoned-"

"I KNOW!"

"Good idea, Max! We can use Chomp to break down this hatch for us to-" *CRASH!* Rex's sentence was cut off when Chomp charged at the Backland's wall, creating a huge hole in it while leaving Rex completely dumbfounded while also extremely annoyed. "Or you could just make a huge hole in the wa- That costs money! You know that right?!"

"Oops. Sorry!" Max apologized, not really, with a sly smile.

With that, Max returned Chomp back to his chibi form as the D-Team looked down into the hole that Max (well mostly just Chomp) rudely made. No surprise, the inside was revealed to be the giant whirly engine that gave out rainbow colors right smack in the middle, currently running while also dividing the room with a 20 story drop.

"Yeah, I'm not jumping." Max says immediately upon looking down.

"Want to try the hatch again?" Zoe asks her two friends.

"No, wait, I think we can survive the jump." Rex says all of a sudden, pondering of a situation.

Max and Zoe shot Rex disturbed and terrified looks in response. "Are you serious?!" Max exclaims in utter disbelief.

"There's no way we can survive a jump that far down! We'll pass out before we hit the floor!" Zoe exclaims in equal disbelief.

"Not if we aim for that!" Rex exclaims as he points down.

His two friends glanced down at the direction where Rex was pointing, noting a very odd yet convenient haystack right below the trio.

"Does that actually work?" Max asks with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't know but I'm not risking my life for it. Rex, let's try to find another way. Preferably a way that doesn't end up getting us killed?" Zoe asks the blonde in a worried tone.

"Right. Right. Sorry. Let's try to find the elevator." Rex says as he walks away.

"You're telling me there was an elevator here the entire time and you let me smash a hole in your wall?" Max asks in disbelief as he and Zoe follow him.

"I just realized this now, Max! I'm sorry!"

However, unbeknownst to the trio, down below was a single dinosaur card lying on the floor carelessly, but because the back of the card was shown in front, we had absolutely no idea what kind of it. However, this card was unlike any other card the D-Team has ever seen before. In fact, this card has never been seen by anyone of this time period. It was black and had a gray space with the symbol of what appeared to be circle colored black and gray.

Reese was shown to still be working on Jonathan's systems as Dr. Cretacia was busy working on the supercomputer. Meanwhile, Dr. Ancient and Spike were striking up a conversation as Zander and Ursula tiredly laid on the couch while Dr. Z was strutting around in the dark, literally since he's temporarily blind. Rod and Laura could be seen watching their grandpa walk around blindly, chuckling every time he bumped into something. Back with Reese, she had finally repaired the last circuit, much to her relief.

"There." she says as she closes Jonathan's head hatch. "He should be good as new."

Right at that moment, Jonathan booted back up, having a blank "default" expression on his face as his eyes lit up, the sounds of Windows XP starting up being heard inside his metallic head. "Jonathan, are you alright?" Dr. Ancient asks as he and Spike approached the android.

Jonathan blinked a few times before finally opening his mouth. "HELGA! NO! GET AWAY FROM THE CONTROLS YOU TRAITOR!" Jonathan all of a sudden shouted as he shot up from his seat.

Spike and Dr. Ancient suddenly latched onto Jonathan before he could spring forward and harm Reese, whom yelped in surprise. Upon hearing his crush yelp in horror, Zander somehow miraculously gained back his energy as he zoomed away from the couch, leaving Ursula to herself.

"I'm coming, my angel!" Zander shouts as he charges towards the android.

Spike and Dr. Ancient were shown struggling to keep their grips on the android, whom was slowly slipping out of their grasps. That is until Zander came out of left field and tackled the two men and android to the ground, a large cloud of dust appearing as the four got into an all out brawl.

"Take that you horrible creature!" Zander shouts.

"Zander! That's me!" Dr. Ancient shouted back.

"Ow! Who kicked me in my shin?!" Spike asks.

"Traitor! We trusted you, you two face manipulative-"

Jonathan's eyes suddenly whitened as he shut down all of a sudden, falling to the ground, resulting in the cloud of dust disappearing. Zander was revealed to be in the middle of choking Dr. Ancient while Dr. Ancient had his legs wrapped around Spike's entire body, whom was crying while slamming his fist onto the ground. All of this and Jonathan's shut down body was underneath the three men, not going anywhere anytime soon.

"Uncle! Uncle!" Spike cried out as he begged for his life. The three men suddenly seized their nonsense once they realized they were no longer hidden in the cloud of dust and realized they weren't even fighting their designated targets. "Well… this is embarrassing."

"You can say that again." Reese replies as a sweat drop dripped down the back of her neck.

Zander turned to the person he was choking, whom he thought was Jonathan when in actuality it was his boss and employer, Dr. Ancient. Upon realizing he was choking the wrong person, he immediately pulled away and shot Dr. Ancient a nervous smile. Jonathan's eyes suddenly glowed once more as his pupils appeared right before the android blinked, fixing his vision modules or whatever sciency word there is for robots, I'm tired of trying to sound smart to be honest.

"Where am I?" he asked no one in particular as he took a look around his surroundings. "The D-Lab? Strange. I could've sworn I was in the Backland control room."

"You were." Reese answers, startling the android a bit. "But someone short circuited both you and Helga and then proceeded to hijack the Backland and go into time."

"What?!" Jonathan exclaims as he stands up, sending all three men flying in different directions. "Who?! How?! And why?!"

"That's what we were hoping you would know." Reese admits.

"Huh?" the android questioned.

"Yeah, you went off a rampage, screaming, 'Traitor! Traitor!' and began to attack Reese for no reason." Rod explains to the android. "

"I thought better of your, Jonathan!" Zander shouts as he hung underwear first in the mouth of the T-Rex skeleton.

"Oh my! You have my deepest apologies, Reese! I was not in the right mindset when I attacked you!" Jonathan profusely apologized.

"It's no worries, Jonathan." Reese replies, waving a dismissive hand. "But might I ask, do you not remember who hijacked you guys in the first place? You were screaming as if you knew who the hijacker was. You were calling him a traitor."

"I did? Hmm…" Jonathan pondered for a while as he tried to recall earlier events. "Nope! Not a clue!"

"Are you serious right now, man?!" Zander shouts from on top of the T-Rex jaw.

"You're telling me you don't know who you remember seeing even though you clearly recognized him enough to call him a traitor?" Laura asks with a sweat drop sliding down the back of her head out of pure disappointment.

"I apologize but it appears my memory banks were damaged during my short circuit trip. But enough about me! Where's the Backland now?!" Reese answered this by pointing to the window, to which Jonathan saw the Backland idling floating in the air. "That doesn't look hijacked to me."

"That's what I said." Rod speaks up aloud.

"It came back, that's why." Dr. Ancient shouts as he hung out on a little ledge on the ceiling. "Truth be told, it only came back after a few minutes but who knows how long it was in the future. Zoe said that two men flew out of the Backland but other than that, we have no clue who did this. All we have is the security footage inside the control room of the moment the Backland got hijacked."

"What did the perpetrator look like?" the android asks.

"No clue." Spike's voice was heard, prompting the group to turn the other direction. There, they saw Spike dangling upside down as his ankle was tangled by his tongue lasso which was wrapped around a piece of the building. "The person on the camera was wearing a hoodie and his face was obscured. We have no idea who did this or why. We have absolutely no clues at all."

"That's not true." Dr. Cretacia suddenly spoke up from a distance. The group turned to see the paleontologist rapidly typing on the D-Lab's supercomputer, a sinister smile on her face. "We do know one thing. Someone had remote access to the Backland, otherwise neither Jonathan or Helga would've willingly beamed them up. Add this to Jonathan's 'traitor' outburst moments ago and we can conclude that the hijacker must be someone we know! And there's only one person we know who knows about the Backland: Seth!"

"Yeah but Seth is still in prison in the future… That and he's not even alive at this point in time." Laura plainly responds.

"Well, there goes my theory." Dr. Cretacia sadly replies.

"Seth isn't the only one we know." Dr. Z suddenly speaks up. "Remember, Mr. Mills is still an unsolved problem with even more unsolved answers. True, he's alive in this time period, but we do not know where. But, as we all know now, our main concern has nothing to do with Mr. Mills but who in fact stole the Backland. If Seth is out of the equation, who does that leave?"

"Mr. Mills!" Dr. Ancient exclaims in shock.

"I thought he had nothing to do with this." Rod questions his grandfather's earlier statement.

"Precisely, Danny!" Dr. Z responds triumphantly, pointing his finger in the air while facing the wrong direction.

"It's- It's just Dan." Dr. Ancient says in a deadpan tone.

"We all know neither Helga nor Jonathan would let a total stranger inside the ship, and there's no way in hell that he would let up Seth of all people! So this only leaves with the only answer with a logical explanation behind it: Dr. Danny Ancient's very own assistant, Mr. Mills!"

Dr. Z dramatically exclaims as he points at a random direction like it was a courtroom drama with wacky, zany characters. The camera rapidly panned towards the couch, where a passed out Ursula was shown sleeping with her butt in the air, a snot bubble popping out of her nose as she scratched her butt - her loud snoring could wake up an entire herd of elephants. "Eh… Wha?" she mumbles after waking up, squinting at her surroundings.

"Dr. Z, as sound as that is, I must argue with you." Dr. Ancient replies.

"Eeeeh?! Why's that?!"

"Well, one being Mr. Mills does not have remote access to the Backland. The other being… well it's Mr. Mills. You know? The quiet, timid bookworm you considered him to be?"

"No offense, Dan, but… I can't see any other way." Spike says aloud.

"Yeah, me too." Zander agrees.

"I'm not saying you guys are wrong. I'm saying it's highly unlikely, not impossible." Dr. Ancient clarified himself.

"Grandpa kind of makes sense." Rod says aloud. "But there's too many unanswered questions to decide whether or not Mr. Mills is related to this at all. For all we know, he could be a completely separate problem as of right now. Didn't you say that Zoe caught two men flying out of the Backland?"

"That's correct."

"But in the security footage, we only saw one person. Maybe the second person came from whatever time period the Backland came out of."

"We can figure out which year it landed in once we gain control of the Backland."

"How many times are you gonna keep saying that, Dan?" Dr. Z asks the paleontologist.

"Excuse me, doctor! But my Backland was stolen!"

"You mean MY ZETA POINT!"

"Can you boys argue later? Shouting at each other is not helping each other!" Dr. Cretacia shouted at the top of her lungs. "Though I have to agree, Dr. Z makes several points and so do you my dear sooooo… I'm neutral."

"You're always neutral though!" Dr. Ancient retorts.

"Because I can't choose between my two favorite boys, that's why! It's like asking me to choose between vanilla or chocolate! I want strawberry, damnit!" Dr. Cretacia shouts in anger.

An awkward silence filled the D-Lab for a brief moment before her husband spoke up, breaking the silence. "Cheryl, are you upset that Rex wasn't a girl?" he cautiously asks his wife.

"So let me get this straight," Max says to his friend as they rode the elevator down. "he turned himself into a pickle… so he could escape a family therapy session?"

"Pretty much." Rex replies, shrugging.

"Man, the future of television is looking really bleak.

"I wouldn't say that, Max. Some shows in the future are actually really entertaining and offers a great learning experience especially about history. Like there's this one movie based on Putin invading-" *DING!* "Oh, we're here."

"Wait, what was he invading?" Zoe asks the blonde, clearly disturbed by the sudden cut off sentence.

"You'll find out in like 10 years or so." Rex shrugs off as he walks out of the elevator, leaving Zoe and Max behind.

"He bothers me… He really does." Max says to Zoe with an annoyed expression.

Max and Zoe followed Rex out of the elevator and into an unknown room filled with many tubes filled with some sort of liquid inside. The room was overall dark, only leaking in sunlight from the curtains of the room, as many of the equipment inside lied still in time, no one knowing it's last use was or what it's intended purpose was. Max examined his surroundings, noticing a cage with bones inside, prompting him to cringe in horror as he sped up his pace to catch up with his friends. Blackness, despair, abandonment. A chamber of lost hopes and dreams of some kind. This is what the room felt like to the D-Team, an overall doom and gloom room.

"I don't remember seeing this room before." Zoe says as she glances at her surroundings in fear.

"That's because this room wasn't here before… Someone built it." Rex whispers, taking note of a huge broken test tube with glass everywhere.

The three chibi dinosaurs all ran forward, their excitement getting the best of them as they wanted to explore the unknown facility.. "Who could've built all this?" Zoe asks, taking the time to examine every spot of the new room.

"I don't know…" Rex says as he picks up a sort of device with a broken bulb on it. "But whoever did this… They had plenty of time to do so."

"What feels like ten minutes to us must've been like 10 years for whoever stole the Backland." Max says, glancing towards the sky hole up above.

"But why would they do all this?" Zoe asks out of curiosity.

Meanwhile, Chomp and Ace found a sort of ball-like instrument to which they immediately began playing with, all while Paris decided to lay in the warm spotlight from the sky hole. Rex crouched down and picked up a burnt piece of what appeared to be from a diary of some kind. He grew an extensive comprehending expression, deep in thought as he tried to piece this entire puzzle together, but to no avail.

"What's on your mind, Rex?" Zoe asks, noticing her friend's sudden silence.

Rex slightly shook his head, a perplexed expression painted on his face as he faced away from Zoe. "I don't get people." he states.

Chomp and Ace continued to play with the ball-like instrument, carelessly passing it around for each other to catch and roll back. However, upon Ace's turn, the Carnotaurus had accidentally bumped a small red switch on the purple ball-like object. Upon pushing the button, the ball began to shake and vibrate a bit before retracting itself as it "closed" itself into a solid ball. After a few seconds, the ball-like object began to shake as each of the holes vibrated on the object, indicating that something was supposed to be shot out of it, but ultimately, it was out of ammo. Seeing how the ball-like was just as much useless as it was in its previous form, both the Triceratops and Carnotaurus went back to playing with the instrument.

"This place looks like death." Max says as he picks up a random bit of machinery. "This place feels like lost hopes and dead dreams. It feels like this room is just filled with spirits of some kind. It's so dark and depressing. Not like the usual Backland I'm… semi used to."

Zoe sniffed the air, smelling a hint of something in it, before recoiling in disgust. "OH!" she yelps in revolt. "It smells like gasoline and… garbage?"

"Ugh!" Max recoils in revolt. "That's not garbage. That's something else. It smells worse than garbage."

Chomp suddenly stopped playing with the ball-like object with Ace when he suddenly sniffed the revolting sense in the air before following it. Chomp continued to follow the smell before reaching what appeared to be a tarp of some kind, afterwards "barking" at it as the Triceratops started to scratch the tarp, wanting to know what was inside that was causing the nauseating smell. Max picked up his chibi dinosaur and held him close to his chest before looking down at what his partner found, slowly growing wide eyes in pure horror, coming to the shocking conclusion on where the smell was originating from.

"Guys." he calls out in a terrified tone.

The other two, now hugging their respective dinosaurs, caught up with Max and examined what their friend was looking at, both of them growing terrified expressions upon laying eyes on it.

"Oh my God." Zoe mumbles in horror. Right in front of them was a body bag, no doubt with a body inside as flies buzzed around it - a truly horrifying sight. "You don't think that's…"

"One way to find out." Rex says as he sets Ace down.

He slowly approached the bag, his heart beating a mile a minute as his fingers inched closer and closer to the body bag, flies now colliding with his fingertips. Rex gulped before grabbing the zipper, carefully opening up the bag enough to show the top before physically recoiling away. "AAAH! Ah!" Rex groaned in disgust upon looking at the contents in the bag

"Oh my God." Zoe grumbles as she looks away, holding her mouth to prevent her from puking.

"Ooooh." was all Max could muster up as the three of them looked at the bag.

Sure enough, a dead, highly decomposed body was shown inside the bag, a bullet hole right in the throat of it as the body's once blonde hair was slowly falling apart. Maggots covered the entire body as they ate away at the dead, decomposed skin, a small pendant with a cross carefully laced around the body's neck. Each of the D-Team recoiled in disgust as the chibi dinosaurs all squirmed in their grips, no longer able to take the repulsive nature of the body.

"Is that?" Max asks, not wanting to finish the question as he looks away.

"No." Rex immediately answered, finding it hard to look away. "I've never seen this man before in my life… This isn't Mr. Mills."

"Then who is it?" Zoe asks, pinching her nose so she couldn't smell the body.

Rex shook his head, gulping down his puke as a grim expression took over his face while he peered down at the body. "I don't know." he answers.

"Alright. I've had enough exploring. Let's go tell your dad what we found." Max says, wanting to get far away from the body as possible.

"We can't go yet, Max." Rex halts his friend. "If we found a body in a room we've never seen before, then who knows what else we'll find. We need to clear the Backland before heading back down!"

"Why? Wouldn't more people mean less time to check and backup for potential ambushes?" Zoe asks her blonde friend, genuinely confused at his logic.

Rex opened his mouth and pointed his finger at Zoe, prepared to retort to her comment before having logic kick into his head. "Yeah, no. That makes more sense." he says casually. "Aright, let's head back to the elevator."

Right at that moment, the entire room went dark, again, as the sound of something powering down was heard, the sounds of the engine humming throughout the ship seized at that second. The trio looked up, all coming to the same conclusion that the Backland had ran out of power, although their calm expressions masked their true feelings.

"Rex," Max spoke up in a calm tone. "please tell me that wasn't the sound of the Backland running out of power."

"Oh no. No. No, it is." Rex confirms in an equally calm tone. "But don't worry. The backup generator should kick up soon."

As if on cue, the lights to the room momentarily blinked before the shutting down sound was heard once more as the entire room fell to darkness yet again.

"Was that the sound of the back up generator failing?" Max asks, still in a calm tone.

"Yep." Rex confirms, also in a calm tone despite the situation.

"And now we're just floating in the sky waiting for gravity to take over?"

"Uh-huh."

"And we should brace ourselves for a violent crash landing?"

"But of course."

"Bring it on."

The Backland suddenly began to fall right out of the sky as all three of the teenagers could be heard screaming as the time ship crashed right into the small mountain that surrounded Sanjo City. Trees, soil, grass, all kinds of nature's debris flew high into the sky, getting flung from the landing as the ground shook like that of a 7 magnitude earthquake. Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Francis could be seen sitting in a pigsty of a bedroom, playing on a gaming console - unmade bed, clothes scattered carelessly, room in complete darkness aside from the open window. Upon feeling the ground shake violently, the teen turned to the window to see the Backland crashing into the small mountain on the other side of the city.

"Daaaaaad. I think we're getting invaded again." he calls out.

"As long as they're not plants, I'm fine with it." his father's voice yelled from across the house.

Spike, Dr. Ancient, Zander and Ursula all ran out of the D-Lab and looked at the mountain side, noticing the large spacecraft stuck in the mountain. "MY BACKLAND!" Dr. Ancient shouts in horror.

"What happened to it?!" Spike questions out loud.

"What happened?! I wasn't looking! I missed it!" Ed exclaims as he wheelchaired himself out of nowhere.

"Where were you, Ed?! Anyway, how did you not see the Backland crash into the mountain?!" Ursula asks her idiot of an adoptive brother.

"I was looking at a flying giraffe." Ed simply answers.

"Flying giraffe? Those don't exist until 2058!"

"I know what I saw!"

"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BACKLAND?!" Dr. Ancient shouts in utter confusion.

Meanwhile, inside the backland in the back control room with that large rod thingy, everything was turned topside as the D-Team trio could be heard groaning in utter pain from the crash landing. "My leg… my leg." Zoe grumbles as she tries to reach for her leg. The black card from before could be seen lying right side up in the shadows of a toppled desk, obscuring what the actual image of the dinosaur on the card was.

"THAT COST SO MUCH MONEY TO BUILD! I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO REBUILD IT!" Dr. Ancient shouts in utter despair as Jonathan strolled out of the building.

"I thought you had future androids build the Backland for you?" Spike asks the paleontologist from the future.

"Yeah, we rented the androids. You think I built all this myself? I don't even know how to work the toaster!"

"It's funny because he can build anything else but nothing to take care of himself!" Dr. Cretacia could be heard yelling from a distance.

Back inside the main control room with the unknown dinosaur card, the sun's rays peered inside the Backland through the huge hole in the wall that Chomp created. The sunlight leaked inside the room and laid itself on top of the dinosaur card, momentarily showing the dinosaur on the card, which appeared to be a sort of raptor of some kind. As soon as the sunlight hit the card, the card shined for a moment, bringing the dull gray picture to color, revealing more of the dinosaur, which appeared to have dark colored skin ranging from black to purple. Right at that moment, a piece of equipment rolled off the table and knocked off another piece of equipment, causing it to fall forward and block the sunlight, creating a shadow over the card. Right at that moment, the card's light disappeared as it suddenly began to glow an ominous black surrounded by white as the card turned into a dinosaur. The dinosaur roared inside the shadows of the Backland room, a blood curdling screech echoing in the chambers of the abandoned, destroyed Backland.

"Ow… Ow… Ow-"

"We get it, Max." Zoe says, stopping her friend from going even more.

"Is everyone alright?" Rex asks, picking himself up as rubble and equipment fell off of his body.

"I'm fine." Zoe replies as a piece of equipment fell on her head. "Ow."

"I can't feel my legs… Ow! Nevermind." Max groaned as he slid down the wall.

"Ace? Chomp? Paris? Are you guys alright?" Rex asks as he searched for his partner. He suddenly bent down and picked up something behind a box, before standing back up again revealing Ace to be in his hands. "There you are, bud. Are you alright?"

Ace responded by licking his face and squirming in his hands as a form of excitement; meanwhile, Chomp came out from under a box and ran towards Max, immediately licking the tip of his nose before chomping down on it. "Ow! Hey, Chomp. Glad you're alright."

"Where's Paris?" Zoe wonders, glancing in every direction to find her partner. As if on cue, Paris had popped out from a pile of clothes, wearing a sunhat that covered her entire face. "Nevermind. I found her."

Right at that moment, each of the D-Team's DinoShots began beeping while it displayed a geographical map with a red blinking dot on it. "Guys! The DinoShots are going off!" Rex calls out as he grabbed his DinoShot.

Zoe glanced at her DinoShot before reaching it and grabbing it, taking a look at the map of where the dinosaur showed up. "You're right. A dinosaur appeared."

"Can we let the Alpha Gang take care of this one? I came down with a bad case of crash landing." Max asks his two friends, tired from being tossed around during the crash.

Zoe suddenly grew a terrified expression. "Uh, guys." she says. "The DinoShot says that there's a dinosaur here."

"What do you mean, 'here'?" Max asked the pinkette.

"As in here!"

"Like how 'here'? Like here 'here' or Japan 'here'? City 'here'? Which one are we talking about?"

"As in less than 100 meters away from our current location!"

"That's so far!" Max retorted aloud.

"Max, a hundred meters is literally down the hall for us." Rex clarified for his friend.

"That's so near!" Max retorted aloud in the same tone.

"What kind of element does the DinoShot say it is."

Zoe glanced back down at her DinoShot only to grow a perplexed expression. "It doesn't say!" she exclaims.

"What?!" Rex shouts as he looks at his DinoShot. Sure enough, on the screen were the words "UNIDENTIFIED ELEMENT DETECTED". "That's weird. Maybe the crash busted up our DinoShots?"

"Rex," Max begins, still facing upside down. "I accidentally put this thing in the washer AND dryer one time and it came out LITERALLY without a scratch. Trust me, dude, these things aren't busted."

*SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!*

Upon the blood curdling screech, the D-Team trio flinched as they snapped to the doors in the dark, where the horrifying sound originated from. "Found the dinosaur." Max mumbled in fear.

The three popped their heads out of the room and looked down the hallway, hearing things being tossed and turned in the dark room down the hall. A loud CLANG! was heard followed by the sound of some medium sized and metallic rolling down the floor. A disk-like object rolled out of the room before losing it's momentum, falling to the ground like a penny or a wheel or any other flat circular object losing momentum. The three felt a pinch of fear entering their systems as they peered down the hallway, hearing loud footsteps coming from the room down the hall.

No doubt, the silhouette of a theropod dinosaur exited the room, it's sickle claws tapping the ground as the theropod sniffed the air. Although it was hidden in the dark, it's blood red eyes glowed in the dark, emitting a curious aura from it as it sniffed the air, sensing a familiar yet different scent in the air. At that moment, the theropod dinosaur sniffed something different, something primal and instinctual to the dinosaur, something alive. Upon sensing potential prey or foe, the theropod quickly snapped it's head to the right, immediately spotting the D-Team, whom stood there in fear like deer in headlights.

"Reeeeeeeeex?" Zoe's distorted voice echoed through the theropod's head.

The theropod's eyes shrunken to more lizard-like eyes before letting out a horrifying, gruesome roar that could dominate any apex predator. It was unnatural, as if mystical, and what's worse, was that it was alive and real and right in front of the D-Team as of this moment, The theropod stepped out of the darkness, slowly revealing itself to be a large, raptor like dinosaur with black skin lined with purple stripes and small gray diamonds connecting each of the stripes. This dinosaur was known as the Atrociraptor, and so far, it was like no other dinosaur the D-Team has ever faced before.

"What is that thing?!" Zoe shouts in utter fear.

"I don't know but I'm fighting it!" Max loudly proclaims.

"Forget that! Run!" Rex shouts as he runs away, followed by Zoe.

"Hey! You cowards!… At least wait for me!" Max shouts back as he runs after his friends.

"Hey, Max, by the way, I lost my contacts." Rex slipped in for absolutely no reason at all.

The Atrociraptor roared as it gave chase to the three kids, leaping off the walls and jumping over many obstacles as it chased it's prey. The three teenagers clung onto their dinosaur partners as hard as they could as he ran down the dark hallway, escaping from what appeared to be a demon dinosaur.

"Don't look back!" Rex shouts at his friends.

Max made the mistake of looking back, right when the Atrociraptor roared another blood curdling screech. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I LOOKED BACK!" Max cried out in fear.

Zoe grabbed a nearby pole to help her swing around the corner, as did Rex and Max while the Atrociraptor slid down the hall. It quickly regained itself as the trio turned the corner and ran down the hall while the theropod followed shortly afterwards, enraged that it was letting it's prey get away. Max quickly burst a door open as Rex and Zoe ran passed him before he slammed the door shut and immediately locked it. Right at that moment, Rex literally came out of nowhere, pushing a literal refrigerator towards the door, successfully barricading it. The door banged behind the refrigerator as the Atrociraptor roared out in anger, before loud footsteps could be heard slowly becoming silent.

"I think we lost it." Zoe says, blowing a sigh of relief. Right at that moment, a puff of hot air was blown directly above her, prompting her and the other two to turn around, coming face to face with the shadowy Atrociraptor. "How did it get inside?!"

"Well, I'm no scientist but that giant hole in the wall might be your answer." Max says, pointing to a literal hole in the wall beside the locked door.

"Yeeeeaaaaah, my dad's not gonna like this." Rex says in a depressed tone, staring sadly at the huge hole in the wall.

Once again, the Atrociraptor roared, it's saliva covering the D-Team's faces as they all screamed in terror. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" they all screamed in terror.

"CALL FOR HELP! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!" Zoe shouts at the top of her voice.

"I should be done with Helga any minute now." Reese announces as she continued to work on Helga's head.

"Take your time, Reese." Rod calls out as he was reading Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park.

"Yeah, we're in no rush to have her back." Laura adds as she ate some cheese balls as she too read Michael Crichton's The Lost World.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Alpha Gang were shown to be sitting idly by the couch while Dr. Cretacia continued to work on the super computer. "So you sure you can't remember anything else, Jonathan?" Spike asks the future android.

"Nope. Can't remember a thing." Jonathan replies. "And I know Helga didn't get a look at the intruder because she was struck first."

"How horrible." Dr. Ancient comments, repulsed at the violent actions his friends went through.

"Hey, Zander. Where's Dr. Z?" Ursula asks tiredly as she lied on the couch.

"How should I know? Ed was the last one to see him." Zander lazily dismisses, leaning his head over the couch.

"Ed, where's Dr. Z?"

"He's in the bathroom. Said something about an emergency… I hope he's okay." Ed says in a worried tone.

"For some reason, this bathroom smells similar to cleaning supplies." Dr. Z could be heard inside the janitor closet.

*toot*

"UGH! FINALLY!" Dr. Cretacia suddenly exclaims in relief.

"What happened? Did you order another package again?" Dr. Ancient asks his wife, anger in his tone.

"No!… Maybe- Yes- So what?!" Dr. Cretacia asks in a defensive tone. "Anyway, no it's not that. I finally fixed this stupid A.I. that Ed created."

"Words hurt you know." Ed said in the background.

"For now on, he's no longer named Chu-As. He is now… W.E.S.L.E.Y."

The whole room went silent, the only sound being a gust of wind that somehow got inside as it blew a single piece of paper in the air. "That is such a bitch name." Dr. Ancient says in a monotone voice. Spike chuckled in shock upon hearing what Dr. Ancient had just said, not expecting him to say that sort of language.

"That's what I said. But it was either between that or Muhammed." his wife replies.

"Why the FUCK would it between THAT and Muhammed?!" Ursula exclaims, the shock of such stupidity waking her up instantly.

"You mean the boxer?" Zander asks in a desultory tone.

"I don't know! This stupid A.I. Ed made has some sort of virus! Half the time I can't even make any sense of what it's talking about! It's like it's TRYING to be as annoying as ever!" Dr. Cretacia shouts in utter anger.

~hey bitchface.~

"wot?!" Dr. Cretacia asks in an offended tone, snapping a dramatic glare at the screen, where it showed W.E.S.L.E.Y. 's smiley face.

~i think your husband is cheating on you with that old hag ursula.~

"HEY!"

~LOLOL JK your husband is actually an anti-tank warrior missile sent from zaron to enslave humanity.~

"I tried deleting him but it just ended up deleting half of my photos saved on the computer." Reese states from afar.

*RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!* ~lol phone call lol phone call lol phone call lol phone call~

"Should I answer it? Dr. Cretacia asks the group.

~lol phone call~

"If it'll make him shut up. Go for it, queen." Ursula mumbles in anger as she pouts on the couch.

~lol phone call.~

Having enough of the annoying A.I. and curious as to who was calling, no doubt the D-Team duh, Dr. Cretacia quickly answered the phone, only to be met with screaming.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

"HELP! HEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!"

"THERE'S A DINOSAUR IN HERE!"

"Wait! What?! What's going on, Max?!" Dr. Cretacia frantically asks.

"*incoherent screaming* ER A IOUAR E ERE!" Max shouts in panic as he waved his face around.

"There's a what?" the female paleontologist asks with a raised brow. Max suddenly turned the camera to show the Atrociraptor roaring directly into the camera. "AH! THERE'S A DINOSAUR!" In the background, Laura could be seen spitting out her cheeseballs in surprise.

"What's wrong with it?! Why is it black?!" Ed asks as he frantically points at the screen.

Ursula shot him an odd look as she opened her mouth, before opting to not even deal with it. "Ah, forget it."

The Atrociraptor roared once more as it slashed the camera, ending the transmission and replacing it with static. "We have to get up there!" Dr. Ancient frantically shouts. "You three! Er, two. You two! Go up there and save our kids! I know they're strong enough to handle any dinosaur themselves but that dinosaur… It didn't look like any dinosaur I ever saw… It looked… demonic… So go up there and save my son!"

"Sir! Yes, sir!" Both Ursula and Zander announced as they saluted the paleontologist.

Both Zander and Ursula pulled out their Alpha Scanners from their pockets, raising them in the air dramatically before running off. "Hey! I want to go too!" Ed exclaims as he wheelchairs his way towards his adoptive siblings.

"No way, Ed! You're still crippled!" Ursula yells at the chubby man.

"Yeah! We don't need you getting hurt too!" Zander yells as well.

"But Rex is my friend! I want to save him!" Ed pleaded.

"I said no!" Ursula firmly proclaims. "Besides, if you get hurt then… then I don't know what I'll do." she shyly says as she looks away, blushing out of pure embarrassment that she showed her soft side and definitely not because she has feelings for him you fucken sick incest lovin weirdos.

Ed gasped in shock, not in a bad way but in a way that Ed has rarely seen this side of Ursula and whenever she does, she's always serious about what she says. "Alright." Ed shyly obliges.

"Thank you… And if you tell any of the brats this, I won't hesitate to have Terry break that other leg of yours. Got it?" Ursula threatened the fat man.

"Roger that!" Ed happily saluted, not wanting to get his other leg broken.

"Come on, Zander! Let's go!" Ursula told the tall man as they ran towards the crashed Backland.

Ed watched as his friends went off to save their former enemies, hoping they would all come out alright.

The D-Team trio were shown fleeing out of the hole in the wall and back into the dark hallway, followed by the Atrociraptor, which bounced off the wall as it chased it's prey. "Rex! We need to turn around and fight!" Max shouts in a panicked tone.

"Looks like we have no other choice." Rex says as he grabs his DinoShot. "You ready, Ace?"

Ace responded by his usual indescribable and incomparable sound (seriously wtf kind of sound are they making?) before his human partner turned him into a card with a push of a button.

"DINO SLASH! CARNOTAURUS, BLOW IT AWAY!"

Ace roared into the dark hallway, his sudden appearance being enough to finally stop the Atrociraptor from giving chase. Upon sighting a new opponent, the Atrociraptor hissed as it showed it's claws, preparing itself into a pouncing position. Like a cat, it wiggled it's butt before leaping at bullet speeds right onto Ace's face, clawing, scratching, biting, doing any sort of damage to harm his opponent. Ace roared into the air as he panicked, suddenly having flashbacks to the Dilophosaurus back in Costa Rica, randomly swinging his body to shake off the unwelcomed guest.

"Not again!" Rex shouts in annoyance, he too got annoyed by the same tactic.

However, unlike the Dilophosaurus, the Atrociraptor was far stronger and deadlier, and Ace knew this as soon as it landed on top of him. Deep down, Ace knew this was of no other enemy he had fought before, not since Brontikens, and even then the Atrociraptor would look like it could maul the giant Apatosaurus in seconds. The Atrociraptor bite down onto the top of Ace's neck, biting hard enough to pierce his skin and draw blood, causing Ace to roar in pain. This was enough for the Carnotaurus to go berserker as he slammed the Atrociraptor into the wall, momentarily trapping it before it released itself and leapt off of Ace.

Ace roared as the Atrociraptor hissed back before it lunged forward, only this time with Ace countering by swinging his tail, sending the raptor flying like a baseball. However, instead of crashing, the Atrociraptor managed to maneuver itself in the air as it landed on it's feet, sliding momentarily on the floor.

"Thatago, Ace! You sure threw him out of the field!" Rex cheered for his partner.

"Uh, Rex, you do realize that thing stuck the landing, right?" Max asks his friend.

"It did?! Huh? I guess I couldn't see."

"What do you mean you couldn't see? I thought you had your contacts."

"I told you I lost them."

"When?!"

"When we were running from that dinosaur."

"YOU CHOSE AT THAT TIME TO TELL YOU LOST YOUR CONTACTS?!"

"Guys." Zoe's voice interrupted the two, prompting them to turn to their (alliteration x5) female friend. "What is it doing?"

The two turned their attention back to the Atrociraptor, which was now glowing an ominous black and white glow as it screeched down the hallway. At that moment, it's claws were suddenly engulfed by dark ominous shadows, as was the tip of it's tail, as it got on all fours and roared at Ace. Suddenly, it leaped into the air and towards the Carnotaurus, slashing Ace's face twice with it's enlarged claws engulfed in shadows, before delivering a powerful swing from it's tail. The tail swing was potent enough to send Ace flying like a baseball, directly over the D-Team's heads, not even looking to see where Ace was going. They were too stunned by the sudden attack the Atrociraptor had just delivered, an attack they had never seen before. Ace crashed into a wall, roaring in great pain as he fell to the ground, his energy drained from the attack as he turned back into a card.

"Ace?" Rex calls out quietly in shock, in utter disbelief of what had just happened.

"What just happened?" Zoe asks in a shocked whisper.

Max was silent, too stunned, not from shock but from utter fear - scared at the Atrociraptor's deadly and brutal nature. It was almost too primal. "What in the hell are we dealing with here?" he asks in disbelief.

The Atrociraptor got on all fours once more, it's eyes thinning out as it locked onto it's prey, it's chittering echoing in the mid dark hallway. "RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!" Zoe screams at the top of her lungs. The three booked it as Max grabbed Ace's card along the way while the Atrociraptor pounced into the air, almost landing directly onto the kids before giving chase once more. "We can't outrun this thing! I'm summoning Paris!" Zoe loudly exclaims.

"GO! DINOOOOOOOOOO-"

*record scratch sound* "We don't have time for your dramatic summoning! Just summon the damn dinosaur NOOOOOOOOOW!" Max cries out in utter fear, startling Zoe as she falls from her dramatic position.

Obliging, Zoe slashed Paris' card and summoned her to full size, momentarily throwing the Atrociraptor off course yet again. Upon seeing another opponent, the Atrociraptor grew thrilled as it felt the joy of a new opponent to slaughter, with the kids being his reward. However, unlike before, Paris simply launched the three kids onto her back and ran off, going at a much faster pace than the kids. Realizing it wasn't going to fight but flee, the Atrociraptor, angered by its opponent's cowardness, gave chase once more, but this time going at a much faster pace.

"That thing was purposely going slow for us! That's not a dinosaur! That's a sadistic hunter!" Max cried out as he frantically pointed at the charging Atrociraptor.

"It's also giving off some sort of shadow mist." Zoe observed. "Like the Dark Pterosaur, remember? And those special dinosaurs Dr. Z made. Only this time it's not glowing rainbows, it's just consumed in shadows."

"Then this must be another special dinosaur!" Rex concurs. "A direct opposite to Dr. Z's rainbow ones! Whoever took the Backland must've created this thing! And by the looks of it, I'd say it's a… Deinonychus? No… It's a… I can't tell in the dark!"

"Yeah, definitely not cuz of your contracts going missing." Max commented under his breath.

"If that thing's main gimmick is shadows, then let's see how it'll deal with the light!" Zoe loudly proclaims as she steered Paris towards a wall.

"Uh, wouldn't heading outside just give it more power since shadows require a light source?" Rex asks regarding Zoe's statement.

"Wait a second. If that thing uses shadows as a sort of weapon… then where's the light source coming from?" Max asks in confusion.

"There is none." Rex replies in realization.

"THEN HOW CAN IT PRODUCE SHADOWS?!"

Right at that moment, Paris crashed into the wall, successfully creating a hole in it and finally escaping out into the outside world. "ALRIIIIGHT! We made it to the sun- Oh…" Zoe stopped mid sentence, realizing that it was actually night time rather than day time. "Oh yeah that's right. It was sunset when the Backland was stolen."

"Maybe this'll depower that dinosaur?" Max hopes. Right at that moment, the Atrociraptor pounced out of the Backland and landed directly behind Paris, causing her to flee at a distance. "Can't a boy have hopes and dreams?!" Max cries out.

"We have no choice, guys!" Rex exclaims. "We have to fight this thing now otherwise innocent people might get hurt! Try to contain the fight in this area! Ace is down, Paris is already out. Max! We need Chomp out here!"

"You read my mind." Max grinned as he leaped off of Paris. "Let's clobber this… Let's… Let's hurt this dinosaur."

"Nice one." Zoe teased, earning a blush from Max.

"DINO SLASH! STUN THEM TRICERATOPS!"

"Stun them? You trying a new thing now, Max?" Zoe asks her friend with a smile.

"Well, yeah, ya know…" Max shyly replies, blushing as he scratches the back of his head, looking away from his pinkette friend. "You all have some sort of elemental saying, even the Alpha Gang, so… I thought I'd try it to… Did you like it?"

"Nope." Zoe replies with a teasing smile.

"Awwww! Why do you do that?!" Max asks dramatically.

Yet another opponent appeared out of nowhere, giving thrill to the Atrociraptor, happy that it finally has more prey to maul. "Be careful, guys!" Zoe warns the two dinosaurs. "That thing is super powerful! Try to avoid it's attacks and close combat!"

The Atrociraptor suddenly glowed black and white once more as shadowy clouds engulfed it's entire body, it's roar echoing from the darkness. All of a sudden, the cloud of shadows suddenly began charging towards the two D-Team dinosaurs as claws viciously reached outside the cloud. The cloud of shadows collided with Chomp as the Atrociraptor unleashed a vicious and bloody assault of deadly scratches from it's claws. The shadow cloud migrated passed Chomp, revealing the Triceratops to be covered in scratches while the Atrociraptor appeared out of the shadows, roaring in triumph.

"AH! That thing used another move!" Max shouts in disbelief.

"Just who made this dinosaur anyway?!" Zoe asks no one in particular.

Paris roared in rage, angered that her best friend got viciously attacked, as she charged towards the raptor, whom was already prepared for the fight. The Atrociraptor leaped high into the air, dodging a tail swing attack from Paris, before landing directly onto her, biting hard onto her horn. Paris screamed in horrific pain afterwards. "Paris!" Zoe cried out for her partner. At that moment, Paris began bucking all of a sudden, hoping she could shake off the Atrociraptor, but to no avail as the raptor clung onto her horn as hard as it could. Paris suddenly thought of an idea, realizing that she was bigger and heavier than the raptor, she could use herself as a weapon. And so she did, as she fell to the side where the Atrociraptor was closer to the ground - too bad the raptor itself was faster as it pounced off of Paris.

"At least she tried." Max sympathetically says, before suddenly looking down. "Hey, a quarter." He bent down to pick up said quarter, a very large tree branch flying right over him.

Once again, the Atrociraptor glowed it's dark colors, as clouds of shadows formed in it's mouth as it snapped it's head towards Paris. The raptor turned around before firing the clouds of shadows from it's mouth as it flew towards the downed Parasaurolophus. The clouds surrounded Paris as she cried out, though her cries appeared to have been strained - sure enough, the dark clouds were slowly suffocating the Parasaurolophus somehow.

"PARIS!" Zoe cries out as she grabs a move card. "Nature's Blessing! Paris, heal Chomp before you turn back into a card!"

The Parasaurolophus obliged her partner's orders as she activated her move, firing a ball of green healing energy towards her companion before she no longer had any more strength. She turned back into a card as her Nature's Blessing began affecting Chomp, the Triceratops feeling energized all of a sudden a small field of flowers and grass grew around him.

"Zoe…" Max says in surprise. "You used Paris to heal Chomp and not herself?"

"Because I knew Chomp was already in bad shape and I knew Paris wasn't going to survive that fight, so I had her reenergize Chomp to give him a fair chance." Zoe explained with a toothy grin.

Max countered with his own smile. "Ahaha! Nice thinking!" he praises.

Chomp stomped on the ground as the Atrociraptor turned around, getting into a pouncing position as the two dinosaurs circled around each other. Neither one of them were making a move, both opting to circle each other and preparing themselves for a bloody battle. Chomp roared loudly while the Atrociraptor purred and hissed at the Triceratops, flicking it's claws as the moonlight shined off of them. Chomp was the first to attack and charged directly at the Atrociraptor, whom jumped out of the way on time, but Chomp thought quickly and swung his tail as a sneak attack. Unfortunately, the Atrociraptor was quicker and jumped out of the way once again before biting onto Chomp's tail, causing the ceratopsid to roar out in pain.

"That thing is starting to get on my nerves!" Max yells as he grabs a move card. "Come on, Chomp! You can do this! I know you can! Use Lightning Ax!"

Chomp's frills glowed the color of the rainbow as electricity sparked itself to life at the tip of his horns before a large ax made completely of electricity formed to life. Chomp swung the ax towards his opponent, but once again, the Atrociraptor leaped out of the way on time, resulting in parts of the ground getting damaged.

"It keeps dodging!" Max yells in anger.

"Whoever made this dinosaur made it to be super powerful and agile. Like the ultimate predator." Rex theorizes.

Chomp continued to swing his ax once more, missing every time as the Atrociraptor leaped out of the way every time. Chomp's Lightning Ax suddenly disappeared as the Atrociraptor glowed black and white once more, clouds of shadows forming all around it as it prepared for another attack.

"Max! Look out! It's using that move again!" Zoe warned.

"Chomp! Get out of there, now!" Max shouts at his partner.

But it was too late, the Atrociraptor started it's attack as it got completely consumed by the shadows, before charging head first towards the Triceratops. Just like last time, Chomp got completely overwhelmed when the Atrociraptor unleashed a vicious assault of deadly, razor sharp scratches. Max's DinoShot suddenly began to blink red, meaning that Chomp was close to losing all of his energy.

"Oh no. Chomp!" Max cries out. The Atrociraptor's attack ended as it landed a few feet away from Chomp, roaring out in triumph as the Triceratops fell to the ground, his energy almost all gone. "No… Chomp…" Max silently cried out, tears forming in his eyes.

The Atrociraptor took it's time approaching the downed Triceratops - Chomp however was shown to be trying his best to get up, but to no avail. The raptor's jaws were coated with saliva and drool, as it's bloodthirsty eyes were fixated on it's prey, licking it's front fangs with it's tongue. Chomp made one last attempt to get up but failed to do so - he just didn't have that much energy left, while the Atrociraptor creeped it's way forward inch by inch.

"I can't watch." Zoe says as she leans into Max's shoulder, startling him a bit.

The Atrociraptor purred and hissed as it creeped it's way towards Chomp, whom now had completely given up on the fight, and just laid there waiting for the inevitable to happen. The raptor snarled and hissed once more before leaping towards Chomp…

"CHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMP!" Max cries out in horror as tears spilled out of his eyes.

The Atrociraptor was mere millimeters away from Chomp when suddenly it was captured in the jaws of the tyrant king of the prehistoric ages. The clouds of shadows that completely engulfed the Atrociraptor were gone in a split second, revealing the Atrociraptor in the jaws of Terry, crying out in pain and horror upon being picked up by the strongest jaws that ever walked the earth. The D-Team all looked up in awe, not expecting Terry to appear out of nowhere, saving them nonetheless. The Atrociraptor, now realizing the situation it was in, began to claw and bite at Terry's snout, doing anything it can do to escape out of his jaws. Alas, it was to no avail.

Terry suddenly flung the Atrociraptor high into the air as it roared out in terror before gravity took control as it came back down. However, this time, not only did Terry catch the raptor by it's tail, but out of nowhere, Spiny had caught the same raptor by it's claws with his jaws. Now the Atrociraptor was trapped in the jaws of the two biggest carnivores that had ever existed - the D-Team couldn't take their eyes off the sight, what looked to be a lost battle had suddenly changed in a split second. Right at that moment, both Terry and Spiny began to literally pull the Atrociraptor apart like it was a wishbone, resulting in horrific cries of agonizing pain and no doubt pleading for mercy in their language. Although they were domesticated dinosaurs, (never thought i'd ever type that before) they were still dinosaurs nonetheless, and dinosaurs are full of primal energy.

The Atrociraptor continued to cry out in pain until suddenly it's skin began to literally crack, black and white lights leaking out into the darkness. Finally, the Atrociraptor's entire body glowed black and white, having been literally a second till death, the dinosaur card's emergency transition had kicked in, causing the Atrociraptor to turn into a card to prevent it from being killed. Terry and Spiny both roared in triumph into the air as the Atrociraptor's card floated to the ground, it's reign of horror finally ending. With the Atrociraptor out of commission, Chomp smiled not only in triumph, but to Terry and Spiny, grateful that they weren't all evil as he thought they were. With no reason to keep struggling to keep his energy up, Chomp let go of everything and finally had a moment to relax before finally turning into a card.

"Terry? Spiny? How did…" Max asks in disbelief.

"Hahahahaha!" laughs a familiar laugh. "Once again, the elegant and oh so beautiful, Ursula-"

"Oh, hey, old lady." Zoe casually says, interrupting Ursula.

In response, Ursula's face disappeared as her head made a literal complete 180, the sounds of bones cracking and snapping heard as Ursula's faceless head faced directly at Zoe. Even with no expressions, it was still creepy nonetheless, especially when Ursula's faceless face suddenly grew a horrifically crude face with razor sharp teeth.

"You… bitch…" Ursula says in a demonic tone.

"Geez. Dramatic much?" Zoe sarcastically retorts, rolling her eyes.

Ursula simply stuck her tongue out and blew a raspberry while Zander innocently held his Alpha Scanner in his hands. All of a sudden, Max ran towards Ursula and gave her a gigantic bear hug, tears escaping from his eyes as he hugged her tight. "Thank you." he mumbles to her.

Ursula was thrown away by the sudden act of gratitude, coming from her former enemy nonetheless, as a small blush formed on her face, prompting her to look away. "Yeah, whatever. Just don't make this a habit, alright you brat?" Ursula replies, albeit letting Max hug her for a while.

"Aww, that's nice. How come you don't let me hug you, Ursula?" Zander asks his adoptive sister.

"Don't get any ideas." Ursula growls back.

Right at that moment, the Atrociraptor card floated down from the sky and gently landed directly onto Zander's head, prompting him to grab the card. "Eugh." he says in disgust. "Even in it's card form, this thing still gives me the creeps."

"Let me see that." Ursula says as she swipes the card from the tall man's hands. "Hmm… I don't remember Dr. Z making this card."

"That's because he didn't make it." Rex says, prompting the duo to turn to him.

"What do you mean?" the tall man asks.

Rex merely gave a grim look before turning to the crashed Backland, most notably the huge hole in the wall caused by Paris. "I guess these are brutal times too." he simply says, turning back to his colleagues.

Reese was shown to still be continuing fixing Helga, evident by the mini welder in her hands as she fixed the circuits or whatever science shit is involved with- I said I was I done with this science nonsense mumbo jumbo. "Finally!" she exclaims, wiping some sweat from her forehead. "It took almost an hour but I managed to fix Helga. Dr. Ancient, if you do not mind me asking, but why is Helga built differently than Jonathan?"

"I don't know. Ask Dr. Z. He's the one who bought her set." Dr. Ancient replies.

"I got her at half price." Dr. Z chimed in from the corner.

"Ah." was all Reese said.

Helga's eyes suddenly glowed white as her pupils appeared once more, the Windows XP start up sound effect being heard emitting from her head. "Oh?" she suddenly says. "Vere am I? Did I get-"

"No, you did not get taken by the Easter Bunny- What made you obsessed with the Easter Bunny anyway?" Dr. Z asks his maid android.

"I vonce saw an Irishmen dressed in an Easter Bunny outfit shouting, 'ME HEAD!' vile hitting people vis a golf club." Helga replies.

"…I- What?" Dr. Z replies in utter confusion.

lol phone call lol phone call lol phone call lol phone call

"Is this it's way of saying that someone's calling us… because I don't like it." Reese asks as she presses a button on the screen, revealing Zoe. "Zoe! You're alright! Are you hurt?! What happened?!"

"We're fine, Reese." Zoe replies, albeit in a solemn tone. "Just… It was a lot… Chomp almost…"

"Oh…"

"But the old lady saved us, don't worry."

"Really?! Really? That was necessary?!" Ursula could be heard shouting in the background.

"But that's not all." Max suddenly says as he enters the screen. "You guys have to check out the Backland. Every one of you… and… I'd bring some nose plugs if I were you guys."

Every single person in the room glanced at each other, hoping someone would know what Max was talking about.

They immediately figured out what Max was talking about, as everyone was shown displaying shocked expressions while some were outright in disgust… aside from Dr. Z. "He was in here?" Dr. Ancient asks, staring down at the dead body in the bag.

"Yeah." Max quietly replies as Rex held a flashlight.

Dr. Ancient crouched down, taking a closer look at the deceased man's face, his mouth open as maggots crawled out of his decomposing jaw. The paleontologist felt sick to the stomach as he looked away while his wife turned around and hurled to the floor.

"Dan… Do you know him?" Spike asks his friend.

Dr. Ancient shook his head, not taking his eyes away from the corpse. "No… But his pendant… I don't know. I feel like I've seen his pendant somewhere before… Just don't know where."

Meanwhile, Jonathan had just finished running a heat signature scan around the room before turning back to his master. "There are no other signs of life besides us in the Backland. It's all clear." he announces.

"Jonathan," Dr. Ancient called out. "run a facial scan on this man and try to see who he is. You are still connected to the police database, right?"

"Ever since I helped nab that donut burglar, the police just allowed me access to their database. And their Wi-Fi too. Did you know their Wi-Fi password is webreakthelaw1234. It's apparently some sort of inside joke in the department." Jonathan tells his master as he runs a facial scan on the dead body.

"Oh, no kidding? Has uh… Has the name Dave Shoebaucher popped up? I heard something about him getting murdered by the Russian Mafia and I just wanted to be sure."

"Nope, but your grandmother was arrested for grand larceny."

"Gramma Joyce?!"

"Facial scan complete. Unknown male. I'm sorry, Dr. Ancient, but it appears he's a clean man."

"Well it was worth a shot… Can you do a DNA test?"

"Hey, I'm not THAT deep with the police department."

"So what're we gonna do with… him?" Zander asks, pointing to the body.

Everyone remained silent as this was the first time dealing with something as serious as this, and considering there were major factors into this equation, choosing whether to call the police or dump it legitimately became a debate. "We can give it to one of the dinosaurs. They eat dead bodies, right?" Ursula suggests.

"I don't think they eat dead dead bodies." Rex replies.

"Wait, we're dealing with a dead body?" Dr. Z asks aloud. "Why didn't anyone tell me?! I would've had this thing out of here ten minutes ago! Ursula! Zander! Ed! Put this thing in a bedsheet and fly over the Pacific and dump it with an anchor like we did last time!"

"Wait! What?!"

"There was a last time?!"

"Hold oooooooon!"

"Grandpa!"

"Whaaaaaaat?" Dr. Z sarcastically asks. "No seriously, what?"

"Dr. Z," Ursula says in a whiny tone. "do we have to? I mean last time Ed nearly passed out and Zander almost barfed in my hair."

"Yeah, and Ursula was sobbing the entire time." Zander added on.

"We may have been dinosaur poachers but we don't want to be actual criminals dealing with dead bodies and all that… plus I'm still in a wheelchair." Ed finishes.

"Hmm. You do make a good point." Dr. Z replies, placing his finger under his chin. "In that case, just Ursula and Zander then."

"Didn't you hear what we just said?!" Zander shouts.

"How could you make us do this, you old fart?!" Ursula whines loudly.

"It's just a dead body. It's not like we knew the guy." Dr. Z counters.

"How could you be so casual with all this in the first place?!" Ed asks out loud.

"You serious?" Dr. Z asks out of genuine confusion. "Do you guys not know that I used to bury bodies for the Yakuza in my early days?"

"YOU USED TO WORK FOR THE YAKUZA?!"

"I thought I told you. Anyway, quit yappin' and get smackin' those butts of yours into fifth gear and dump that body! Seriously, it's starting to stink. THAT'S AN ORDER!"

Zander and Ursula groaned in defeat as they hung their heads low. "Yes, sir." they weakly reply with an equally weak salute as they trudged their way to the body. "Can't believe he's making us do this again." Ursula grumbles.

"At least you don't have to write a fake note to the wife as a mislead." Zander comments.

"Well," Dr. Ancient speaks up all of a sudden. "while the Alpha Gang deal with… actual… gang related… crime activities… I want to see the rest of the ship. Mainly where we keep the cards. I already processed the Calamosaurus card but I haven't processed the others and those are what I'm afraid of."

"Problem." Rex says all of a sudden.

"What's the problem, kiddo?"

"There's no more power."

"Did you try the backup generator?"

"Uh-huh."

"And it didn't work?"

"Nope."

"Well that's obvious. A tiny generator can't power up the entire Backland. Unfortunately with the amount of damage done BOTH from the inside and outside, I'm afraid we're not going anywhere anytime soon." Dr. Ancient announces.

"So how do we explain to the city that a giant ship crashed right smack into this small mountain? We can't lie, obviously." Dr. Cretacia ponders.

"Oh, don't worry. The people in this town get used to things really easily. I'm sure by the end of this week, everyone will be acting as if this has always been there." Zoe responds.

"Wow. Accepting town. You don't see much of those these days."

"Alright, enough wasting time. Let's head to the card room as soon as possible!" Dr. Ancient loudly exclaims.

"Isn't it down the hall though?" Rex asks his father, pointing to the door.

Down the hall…

"Jonathan! Open the door!" Dr. Ancient could be heard from outside the room.

"ok :)"

CRASH!

The automatic doors were suddenly thrown forward, revealing Jonathan at the end of a kicking pose while Dr. Ancient and the D-Team were behind him. "I said open the door, not break it." Dr. Ancient clarifies.

"Apologies."

Without wasting a second, Rex quickly ran over to the dinosaur card case but upon reaching it, he instantly realized that they were too late. The keycard scanner was jammed with a forced kind of card in it, the keypad was busted and as was the eye scanner as the display case window was shattered. Rex opened the cabinet, which fell off it's hinges, before looking inside, only to come to the horrifying conclusion.

"They're gone." he announces.

"What?!" Dr. Ancient asks as he looks inside. "My God, you're right. The cards that you kids got are gone. They must've been stolen!"

"What cards are missing?" Max frantically asks.

"Looks like Calamosaurus, Irritator, Scolosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Corythosaurus, Chasmosaurus, and the recently acquired Dilophosaurus. Every dinosaur that you've collected so far."

"Actually Dr. Z has the Calamosaurus card. He used it to save us back in Costa Rica." Zoe speaks up.

"He did?" Dr. Ancient asks in response, genuinely surprised to hear this. "Huh… I guess the old doctor does have a heart… Ironic considering he used to bury bodies for the Yakuza. Still disturbed on that part."

"What about the other cards? The cards we first captured two years ago?" Max asks.

Dr. Ancient turned to a second cabinet, noticing that while the keypad and eye scanner were broken, the keycard scanner was undisturbed. Although this didn't mean the cabinet was unlocked, evident that it was slightly opened, the display case window still intact. The doctor approached the cabinet and looked inside, noticing all his former cards still in their places.

"No. No, they're still here." he replies.

Max suddenly turned Rex and shot him a muddled look. "Why the hell would they take the other cards then?" he asks aloud.

"This is bad." Dr. Ancient says as he falls back into a chair. "This is really bad… This is really, really bad."

"Don't worry, dad." Rex says as he comforts his father. "We'll get those cards back, no matter what. You can count on us. You don't need to worry."

"No, you don't understand, Rex! This is much worse than you think!" Dr. Ancient exclaims as he stands up. "These new cards that we've been making for the past two years are much different than the regular cards. More powerful, destructive, more primal dinosaurs are in there. We always gave each of our dinosaurs their own unique personality so they wouldn't be mindless killing machines as they are thought of. But these cards were under a new project of ours. A project given to us for a large sum of money. To see untrained, undomesticated dinosaurs exist like how it was in the prehistoric ages for research. But since the crash, all those cards have been scattered and with the Backland being hijacked and these cards being stolen… It just confirms my worst fear."

"What… What is it." Zoe cautiously asks.

Dr. Ancient turned to Zoe, an utterly defeated expression on his face. "Someone out there wants these cards for some reason and if they're willing to steal my Backland, my cards, and destroy everything I owned and pervert it in their own sick, twisted vision… and quite possibly murder… then we are dealing with someone far more evil than Seth, than the Space Pirates… This is no longer a search party… this is a race."

The D-Team fell silent, realizing how serious and how big this problem was, yet they had no idea who was behind this. Absolutely no clues whatsoever - but that didn't stop Max from growing a grin brimming full of confidence.

"Well whoever is behind all this, I guarantee you," Max says confidently. "they will regret the day they messed with the D-Team! We'll get those cards back and we'll save those dinosaurs! No matter what!" Max loudly exclaims as he pumps his fist into the air.

"YEAH!" Rex and Zoe shout at the same time, also raising their fists in the air.

Lightning struck from the sky as thunder clapped over the area, as rain fell heavily onto the town below, winds blowing all sorts of paper in the air as a warehouse was shown upon lightning being struck. Inside said warehouse, the six dinosaur cards that were taken from the Backland - the Irritator, Scolosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Corythosaurus, Chasmosaurus, and the Dilophosaurus - were shown to be laid out on top of a table in the middle of a dark room. The only light in the room was the moonlight slipping in through the windows, as two shadows from the moonlight loomed over the cards, both appear to be the same height.

"We have the cards. Now what?" says a voice… a very familiar voice.

"Leave the rest to me." says another, slightly familiar voice. "I've waited so long for this moment and I'm not letting anything or anyone stop me from pursuing my dream. From now on we work in the shadows - we draw no attention to ourselves. Hit them by surprise… and then kill 'em all."

An Alpha Helicopter could be seen over the ocean, with Zander piloting and Ursula in the back, struggling to pick up the body bag and hang on at the same time. "Zander! Quit moving this thing! I'm going to fall!" she shouts as she tightens her grip on the safety bar.

"It's not me! It's the wind! I can't control this thing in the wind! Then again this is a Dr. Z invention so maybe it's not totally ours or nature's fault. But for the sake of continuing my villainous character, I'll just blame it on nature."

"Zander! Stop talking to yourself and jus steady the- Woah! WOAAAAAAH!"

With that, Ursula had suddenly lost her grip as she fell into the ocean with the body bag that was anchored with at least five cement bricks. "Ursula? You alright?" Zander calls out from above.

"If you don't get me out of this ocean in five seconds I'm gonna drown you!" Ursula threatened from below. At that moment, a familiar Spielberg horror jingle began playing out of thin air. "Wait a minute." The greenette suddenly turned around, immediately spotting a fin swimming towards her, prompting her to panic. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! ZANDER PICK ME UP NOW! THERE'S A SHARK IN THE WATER!"

"Why did Ed randomly text me a video of a guy freaking out over a double rainbow?" Zander asked to himself as he stared at his phone, clearly not hearing Ursula down below, whom continued screaming in the water.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- Wait a minute. I have Spiny. What am I thinking?" Ursula asks as she casually summons Spiny.

The shark continued to swim towards it's prey until a blue glow blinded it before it was suddenly caught in the jaws of the Spinosaurus. Spiny, now having a full blown great white shark in his mouth, decided that now it was a good time for a midnight snack and proceeded to eat the shark by clawing off chunks of it to make it easier to consume.

"Huh. Look at that." Ursula said to herself in an intrigued tone. "Spinosaurus actually used it's claws as a sort of utensil to eat. Gee, I never knew Spiny of all dinos was civilized." Right at that moment, her waterproof phone from the future vibrated in her pocket, prompting her to open it. "Why did Zander send me a video of some moron getting too excited over a double rainbow?"

(WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAH! [yankee with no brim] What's this?! A secret dinosaur like the ones in the show?! OHMAGAUD!

Yeah I know lol

I wanted to include secret dinosaurs into this story cuz I see this story as a combination of both season 1 and season 2 of the anime… kind of. Anyway, I wanted to include my own type and at first I thought, "HYBRID DINOSAURS!" but then I realized that was dumb so I opted to go with the opposite of the secret dinosaurs in the shows, whose main powers were light. So I thought of doing the same thing except making them the darker version, like the Dark Pterosaur. The only problem was choosing the dinosaur, ya know?

Also, I want to ask you guys personally: How do you guys feel about the more realistic dinosaur fights that you typically see in Jurassic Park instead of the kung fu/pokemon like fights in the anime. Personally, I changed it to more primal fights because, well, they're dinosaurs. It's their nature. Domesticated or not lol If you don't like it, don't be afraid to tell me. I'm open to shared thoughts so please, don't be afraid and give me your honest opinion.

Anyway, if you're all wondering what the name of the attacks the Atrociraptor used, I'll list them in order of appearance:

Shadow Attack

Shadow Claw

Suffocating Shadows

I'm just kidding, those aren't the official names cuz I'm not clever enough to think of any Shadow type moves. Which sucks for me cuz that means I'm FUCKED when writing these Shadow Dinos... yes that's their official name and I'm sure of it this time.
