Summary/disclaimer Time for another chapter of Metallic Melody. Enjoy the 2300-word chapter. I do not own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi, and a few others do.
Hikaru watched the girl work, even without her goggles. She moved like a machine, fast, dedicated, robotic in her movements… She would be a lot more interested the more he had known about her. She acted a lot more studious than she could have been.
Yes, there was chaos enough in her movements but also that of a machine and something that could not be dealt with… Something that would carry far beyond now.
"Hmm…" Mei heard as she looked over to the side. "You are very good at your job… Self-taught, I suppose?" Hikaru questioned before he looked to the ground.
There were a lot of things he could not be done for now, he had more and more as he seemed to be ready for now. He had been ready to deal with it for now, he had been prepared for it well.
"You just want to keep pushing me, don't you? Just want to keep going more and more interested in it. Because I believe you know a lot more than you could know." He stated.
Mei only giggled, she knew he was drawn to her skill, all of them were drawn like moths to a flame. It was too amusing, too fascinating for now and that would not change, not when it could have come at a worse time.
The pain was to be willing to throw itself as she paused to look to the side, she had been too interested in what was coming next. She would not be willing to relax, she would keep thinking for the time at the end of the day. The chaos between them both was too much.
"You, ok?" Mei asked.
"Don't know," Hikaru questioned to which he paused. "I have a lot more on my brain than this, a lot more I do not know about… There was a LOT more on the mind, there was just too much on my brain to think, only to act." Hikaru said.
Mei moved towards him, pausing only to let her think, to act… For she was not stupid, she would not have acted… And there was too much chaos to have been gifted with it for now.
She was too chaotic to have been thrown for a loop, there was something else on their minds as she looked to be ready.
"You, ok?" Hikaru asked as he walked over to her, letting her hands reach over his.
"Yes, I have been prepared for the best… And I will not falter." Mei said as her friend looked at her. "I have a lot on my brain, silly. It is funny, you act a lot like I expected to have been ready to deal with for now." Mei stated.
She watched as he reached over her… For there was a lot more to be dealing with, a lot more at the end of the day. She giggled like an imp, like a gremlin as she knew he was drawn to the ability to do more… And she would not disappoint for now… Even with all of it crashing down.
It was an amusement. This was madness, it was a drum-like beat and she thrived within it for now, she would not let it all be done and dusted. She would not let their dance end so soon… Even then? She acted according to their pain, it would all come crashing down at the end of the day, but that would not mean anything at the end of their rope.
Mei had been too familiar for now as she paused. She looked over at him before she sighed to look downwards to the ground… There was a LOT more to his goals before he sighed, looking downwards.
Even he could not deny that Mei was a very skilled warrior and he saw no reason to try and deal with her skills, she had been too interested in what would come next… Such was life and she acted like it?
She had been too interested in whatever was going on before she seemed to be prepared for now. She had been too interested in what was going on.
"You, ok?" Mei asked as Hikaru rolled his eyes.
"Yes, I am and I know what was going on… There was something else before now." Hikaru stated before he rubbed at his chin. "There is a very large amount of time I have wasted on trying to fix things… But I believe you were right about it lacking certain parts of logic." He stated before he paused.
Hikaru was amused by Mei as she tried to wrap it all up. Such a thing was impossible the more he thought of it, but it was not like he could not find enjoyment in it.
"Well, someone just doesn't like making babies the same way I do so I had to figure it out," Hikaru stated before she paused.
He had not been able to deal with it to the top… He had been going on and he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
"What babies? Your inventions? You need more and more… Oh, I know what you mean… Sometimes I do not know at all what is going on in your brain… The more I try and think about it? The less sense I think it all makes." Hikaru stated before he seemed to be.
Mei seemed to be too amused as she looked to the side… Perhaps it was hard to stomach… But she knew him and she knew herself. Even the most amused inventors would need to be calmed down at the end of the day… He?
She wrapped her arms around the table, pausing only to think of what had been going on… She knew him and she knew more and more with each passing second what was going on… She would not falter. She would not fail. She could not have failed for that was worse.
She had a job to do. She let down a LOT more people than just her parents. She knew this and she knew what was going on and she knew him to the end of the day as of now… It was too much and it wouldn't be stopped for now and it would not stop a problem like this, not now? Not EVER again at the end of the day.
It was all coming to an end sooner or later, that much he could tell. There was only so much she could stop, that she could oppose at the end of the day. So blasted much had to happen to let it end that way.
To be entirely fair? He was not thrown off, was not stricken, was not unable to have been dealt with now, he had known what had been done and what he could not do, he had zero reason to have thought of that in his way.
Hikaru was simply silent, he could not have allowed her an advantage there lest it all come crashing down, he had been many things but a coward would not have been one.
He sighed, knowing he would not have allowed it to have happened. He clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth, knowing what was coming down the road for now.
To be entirely fair? He had not been willing to let it ride, not when there was so much to try and deal with… To be entirely fair? He could not have been more prepared for now. He had not been able to relax for now as he clicked his fingers before looking to the side.
Hikaru felt her lean over him only for him to sigh, to think of something odd and understand what was going on in his mind before he thought of what he could relax once more.
He had not been able to try and think as she leaned over him, her hands like slimy tendrils from a squid than those of a brilliant inventor.
There was a part of his brain that almost made him question if this girl was just insane or not, he had not been able to relax, to let it go and grow, for there was little to nothing to try and manage.
"If you are not going to help? I am not going to let you help… Because I need to try." He stated before he sighed and then looked to the ground, knowing what was growing on the brain when it came down to it.
He had been able to relax, not when he could have allowed it to have been greeted with it at the end of the day, knowing what would become at the end of the day.
Mei simply smiled at him, knowing what the next move would be at the end of the day. She had been unfamiliar with it now before she looked to the side.
She thought it all come to a head sooner or later but not now of all things.
She sighed and seemed to back off for a second before suddenly throwing herself back into the depths of the place as he rolled his eyes, knowing what had been going on as push came to shove.
She was amusing to him and he could not deny that, not even a little, it felt a lot more amusing to him than before and perhaps it was being at the time.
There were a lot of things which required them now to be done and dusted… There was a lot more to try and figure out something there… There was a lot more to try and figure it out… There were a lot of things that required his attention.
This? This was not going to be a deal at all. He would never bow. He would never submit and he would continue to try and figure it all out.
What he did do next? Whatever he had been eager to figure it all out once again… He would not be able to deal with it once again, there was a lot more to this as she looked over at him.
"You good?" Mei heard as she hummed.
"Kinda… Why?" Mei stated before she sighed.
There was more to this… A far more amusing little thing before she seemed to think of it as she raised herself upwards and onto her feet as she paused to think, she looked at him as he glanced to the side.
There were only a few seconds of silence before she looked to the side. She tapped him on the shoulder, amused more than anything as he poked at her, eager to figure it all out.
He did not know more if he feared her arrival or something else. He could not admit there was more to it m not yet, not out now before he seemed to be dealing with for now as he seemed to be dealt with for now as he clicked it into place.
There was a lot more to their game and she looked at him, too interested in what was growing on his mind.
"See what I am doing?" Mei questioned.
"No, I do not… But I am too tired to care. Continue, I will interject when I can." Mei heard.
She had been familiar with it, knowing what was to come next, knowing that he could only pretend at it once more.
There was a desire to do better, a desire to surprise him, and a smirk that showed her that he had been unable to do more than relax.
He smirked at her, guessing that he was able to do more than relax… He was in pain; he was in a bloody corner and he knew that she was messing with her.
"I want you to know just how much I trust you… But you are crazy when it comes down to it… I do not see how this works." Mei stated to which she looked over at him.
There were a lot of things that he needed to be done with it as he clicked his fingers and paused to look downwards. He seemed to relax and knew just how much he had messed up, there was something which had been done to fix it, to understand…. And to grow… He had zero idea what was going on, zero clue what was going through the brain.
He snorted and simply decided to try to lean over her…. As awkwardly as he could while trying to preserve whatever dignity he had as a soldier, granted? He had been too unable to deal with it for now and for good reason.
He sighed as he realized this girl was also basically holding him hostage so he could look at such a thing, look at it once again… For there was nothing to be as he finally seemed to think, to ponder the best idea, and to know what was going on in their way.
All of it bothered him but this woman was… Different, maybe insane… But differently and he knew it, he knew it very well at the end of it all.
"The circuit was not working right if you look at it here… The plasma cuff was not sending energy through the rest of it." She stated as Hikaru hummed and frowned.
He paused and then looked to the side, he knew very well what was growing through her mind, she did not know what was going on and she paused to try and figure it out.
She had been silent, very silent, and very unable to deal with it now. Her eyes beamed with amusement and with power with it once more.
He had been able to think, he had been able to try and figure it out.
