The day had finally come. Amiya and her companions had a tough task before them, but they were prepared. Their objective: Infiltrate the Mt. San Antonio Complex.

"Ok, we'll arrive in 15 minutes." Announced Alfred from the cockpit. The team was currently sitting in the back of a trailer, which Alfred had rented to a random driver. There was some tension in the air, some held their weapons tightly as a mean of calming their nerves. Outside, it was late evening, the outline of Mount San Antonio could be seen in the horizon. It was truly the calm before the storm...

"Alright..." Sighed Ch'en as she threw a look at the rest. "We're almost there... You know what to do once the time comes."

"Yeah" Replied Kal'tsit. "Once we're inside, our actions must go smoothly. Our window of opportunity here is very narrow..."

"We have the surprise factor with us." Said Hoshiguma. "I bet that they won't see this coming."

"Please, don't say it..." Matt let out. "Last time someone said something like that we got chased down by a dozen of Abrams!"

"Ok, I get it..."

Matt didn't press the matter. He instead turned to his friend, Will, who was sitting right besides him.

"Will, you there?" He whispered.

"Yes." Answered the boy. "Tell me, what do you want? I'm all ears."

"Well..." Matt made a pause. "Do you think that the agent that killed Edward will be there?"

"Most probably yes..." Will put a hand in over his friend's shoulder. "Don't worry. We'll avenge Edd, I swear."

Matt replied with a smile. His friend was about to add something, but at that moment he felt something rest against his shoulder.

"Tal, may I know what are you doing?"

"Well, I wanted a pillow, so..." The draco replied with a smirk. "Perhaps can I use you as substitute?"

He simply chuckled and patted her head. "No problem, my fiery dragon~..."

Matt looked at the couple with bewilderment, not knowing what was happening. However, soon the gears inside his mind clicked.

"Wait, don't tell me that... Are you two together?"He suddenly let out a laugh. "Oh my God, Willy! You've f*cking managed to get yourself a girlfriend!"

At that moment W, who was listening to all of this, decided to burst into the conversation.

"Is that true Willy~?" She teased. "So you've managed to conquer the Leader's heart, you're surely a lucky guy." A devilish smile appeared on her lips. "Ah! It also explains last night's noises..."

A shiver ran down her spine as the two glanced at her with murderous looks.

"Don't dare to say one more word, W..." Said Talulah, in a dark tone. "Else the ass I'm going to kick won't be DiAngelo's... It will be yours."

The sarkaz let out a nervous laugh, and then went silent. The mercenary may be crazy, but she still was sane enough to know that being on the receiving end of Talulah's anger probably wasn't the brightest of ideas. Nonetheless, that became irrelevant when Alfred shouted from the cockpit.

"Guys! Hide in the boxes, we've arrived!"

The trailer entered a secondary road, headed straight towards Mt. San Antonio, and a couple of meters ahead, they saw the tunnel dug into the mountainside, the entrance to the Complex.

A squad of soldiers stepped into the road and stopped the trailer.

"HALT!" Yelled one of them. "Identification!"

Alfred stuck his head out of the window, and giving him his documents he replied.

"I'm Doctor Alfred Livingstone, head of Project Twilight."

"Oh, it's you, Alfie." Said the soldier in a softer tone. He threw a look at the trailer. "Why're you driving a trailer, if may I ask?"

He tried to suppress his nerves.

"Hehehe... Well, there were some last-minute changes. I have there some parts for the machine, nothing more."

The soldier's companion suddenly stepped in.

"Dr. Alfred, we're going to have to inspect the cargo. Please, open the back." A shiver went down Alfred's spine.

"Sorry, but I don't have time for that. You see, these parts must be installed before the test... and it will be in 15 minutes." He took a deep breath, the success of this operation was at stake. "You can go ahead and inspect the cargo, but in that case I won't be able to install them... And I'm not going to be the one explaining DiAngelo why his multi-million machine exploded..."

"But..." His fellow soldier put a hand over his shoulder.

"I don't you, Billy... but I surely don't want to get into trouble with the boss." He then looked at Alfred. "You're clear. Go and unload in Platform 12."

"Thanks." And with that, the trailer entered the depths of the mountain...

Alfred drove the trailer to the Cargo Area and parked in a discrete corner. He got out and walked to the rear, opening the doors.

"Ok guys, come out. We're inside."

The group came out from the boxes and got off the trailer. The first part of their plan was complete.

"Everyone, listen!" Exclaimed Kal'tsit. "You know the plan, slit up and go to your designated objectives! There's no time to lose!"

"Aye!"

They divided into two groups. One had the task of securing the armory, where all weapons and explosives were located. They would use those same explosives to blow up the base. As for the second group, their task was tougher. Their mission was to take down DiAngelo for good. After that, they would reunite with their companions where the machine was located... and with some luck they would be back at their world by the end of this.

Now, this needed to be done quickly, so the two groups didn't lose more time and headed towards their respective objectives. Before leaving, Will cried out.

"Good luck, and Godspeed!"

The sound footsteps filled the entangled halls as the first group made their way through the base. It was integrated by W, Jessica, the crazy lupo Lappland, Liskarm, Matt and Will.

Sneaking around proved to be hard, there were many patrols around and very few ways to evade them. Nonetheless, they were approaching their objective. At one moment, W, who was at the forefront, suddenly came to a halt. Matt was thrown aback by this move.

"Hey, what the f*ck are you...?"

"Shh..." She pointed ahead of them. "There's a checkpoint, and I don't see any detour..."

"We'll have to sneak through, then." He whispered.

The team bent and slowly started to crawl on the ground. Tension began to mount as they came closer to the checkpoint, avoiding making any kind of sound, even suppressing the sound of their breaths. Meanwhile, the soldier sitting at the checkpoint had his attention focused on the TV besides him, not even noticing the mild sound of scratching under his window.

The group was now right under the checkpoint's window. Their nerves were on the surface, even the slightest error could screw everything; but the good thing was that it seemed like the guard still wasn't aware of their presence. It was all good, but then...

Cling! – A coin fell from Jessica's pocket onto the floor, making noise. Everyone's blood froze.

"Wait, what was that noise?" Asked himself the guard as he stood up.

"Fuck...", cursed mentally the sarkaz as she reached for her knife. They waited for the soldier to appear... but he didn't come.

"Bah, it must be the goddam rats again..." Muttered the guy as he sat back to and refocused on the TV.

Everyone let out a mental sigh of relief. It had been a very close call... Anyways, they hurried up and left the area as quick as possible. They continued their way through the halls, and then, ten minutes later, they finally found the armory... but standing just in front of the doors, another group of soldiers were guarding the facility, holding their rifles tightly.

"My God, ..." muttered W. "Looks like we can't avoid direct confrontation..."

"Move out of the way." The group saw as Lappland casually walked towards the armed soldiers. "Hey boys~!"

If she intended to catch their attention, then she got what she wanted, as the soldiers shot glares of nervousness and pointed at her.

"YOU! Lay down your weapons!"

The lupo gave them a very creepy look, but it paled in comparison with the smile on her face.

"Oh, so you're scared of me~?" She let out a laugh. "Don not worry, I only want to... Tear you apart!"

Before the soldiers could even react, Lappland threw herself at them. She swung her swords... and before they knew it, two of them fell to the floor with their throats sliced. Only four remained.

"HAHAHAHAAA!" She was laughing like a psychopath. "THIS IS SO FUN!"

The remaining four fired at her, desperately trying to take her down... but this devil's movements were too quick. Soon, Lappland went on the attack and slayed another two soldiers, their organs splattered on the floor. The survivors shot with everything they had: M4s, Pistols... and by pure chance one of them landed his shot on Lappland.

"Agh!" She glared at them like a crazed beast. "You... I'LL SLICE YOU INTO PIECES!"

The lupo threw her swords at them with all of her strength. The soldiers watched helplessly as the blades approached them... and then they were pierced by them in the chest, instantly killing them.

W and the rest left their hiding spot and watched how Lappland had left the hallway, all was splattered with blood and organs. The sarkaz smirked.

"Well, I must say you've got taste..." She said. "Although I'm more keen on blowing up people, slicing them is just way too boring."

"WTF... These two have come straight out from the psych ward.", the two boys thought.

The group now stood in front of the Armory's door. W extended her hand and pushed it open, revealing what was inside. The sarkaz drooled upon laying her eyes on all the weapons and explosives stored inside: MGs, grenade launchers, lots of C4, Javelins... it was her wet dream.

"Ok, grab whatever you want! If we need to quick some ass, then we'll do it with real weapons, not sticks!" Exclaimed the expert in demolitions as she grabbed the explosives. "This is nice stuff...! Guys, today we're blowing up this underground base!"

X-X

The other group didn't have as much problems to reach their objective. With Alfred's help and guidance, the group integrated by Hoshiguma, Talulah and her sister, Amiya, Nearl, Skadi, Franka, Kal'tsit and the Doc were able to sneak through the hallways.

"Stop... Now they're gone. Keep moving." Said Alfred as the guards walked away.

Without making any noise, the group silently walked down the corridor, until they sighted the entrance to the Main Hangar. Alfred signaled them to stop.

"Ok, hide behind those boxes. I'm going to open the door with my keycard."

The man walked to the door and took out his card, passing it through the reader. The device made a beep and the gates opened. However, before he could go and enter with his friends...

"Hello there, Dr. Livingstone." Alfred froze in place and looked in the direction of the voice. He was met by the cold gaze of Mülhausen.

"Oh, Mülhausen..." The boy tried to feign normalcy. "I was looking for Mr. Highstew. Do you know where he is?"

"Oh, yes. He and the boss are at the control room." The agent replied. "Come with me, I'll accompany you there."

Alfred threw a quick look at the boxes and mentally apologized for leaving them, and then he let out a sigh and followed Mülhausen.

Ch'en, who had taken a peek of the encounter, turned to her companions with a tired expression.

"I guess we're on our own now..."

"Sis, let's get going." Said Talulah. "Before the gates close."

With that said, the team sneaked inside the Main Hangar. What was inside left them without words. Hundreds of soldiers, vehicles, tanks, and even helicopters were congregated there, a massive force indeed... and in the very center of the hangar, a machine stood, its many cables littered around.

"That must be the "Traveller"..." Whispered Kal'tsit. "Wait... I hear footsteps. Hide behind those crates!"

The team ran and got behind the crates... but upon getting there they stumbled with a group of soldiers who was using the spot to play poker. The two sides exchanged confused looks, but then one of the soldiers yelled.

"INTRUDERS!"

They dispatched the riflemen, but it was too late. The alarms sounded, and soon hordes of enemies began to converge in their position. Kal'tist exclaimed.

"Get ready, we're giving them battle!"

"ROOAAARRR!" Roared Monst3r as he materialized.
