Ring Ring. Who's calling this late at night? Thought Yu as Dojima said "Who's calling at this hour?" he picked up the phone "Detective Dojima speaking... now?... yes, I'll be right there" "You're leaving?" Yu and Dojima turned to look at Nanako-chan's crestfallen expression. "They need me at work" he opened the door "Nanako It's pouring! What did you do with the laundry?" "I already brought it in!" Dojima nodded and shut the door behind him. Yu took a second to process some things, Nanako-chan does the laundry, Dojima is a detective, Nanako-chan hadn't looked surprised so this probably happened often, he was exhausted. Yu decided to watch TV with her before going to bed. "Every day's great at your Junes" Nanako finished the song and looked at Yu expectantly until he gave his rather weak attempt at singing the song. He knew that the song was marketing to children but it was kind of cute when she sung it and it seemed to cheer her up at least so Yu didn't protest "you memorized it already?!" She sounded impressed. At least his singing had escaped the brutal honesty of a small child. Suddenly, his head began pounding again. "You should probably go to bed" Yu nodded and she led him up the stairs "this is my room, this is dad's and here's yours" Yu looked around the landing and saw... nothing. Just like the rest of the house it felt, lived in and homey, yet devoid of personal touches, family photos and the like. "You're stuff should be in there" Nanako said as Yu realized he'd been standing there thinking without moving or speaking. "Sorry, I was lost in thought, um... Goodnight?" He said awkwardly, offering a handshake. He knew it made little sense but a hug felt weird given that she was basically a stranger, a kiss on the cheek or forehead or something would have been just wrong, and nothing seemed rude, so he decided that this was a best case scenario, walked into his new room and got onto the futon with the sheets the Dojimas had lent him.
