The screams from the birthing red head filled his ears even from meters outside of the cave she was inside. Even past the ridiculous barrier they believed to keep them safe. It's been over a month since Obito has truly resolved himself to the Infinite Tsukiyomi. He knows that the deed he must commit tonight is not one he would have ever thought about, however it will all be forgotten when he casts the genjutsu over the world. It was the only way he could think of bringing peace and becoming the Obito Rin once loved. He himself couldn't be like that once again, but under that genjutsu he didn't have to think about it. He would just ignorantly revert back to who he once was. He would be with his team, with Rin, with his parents, his grandmother, his clan, and with Asami.

Obito gathered his chakra into the center of his chest and crossed his fingers, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu." Five copies of Obito poofed into existence on both sides of the real Obito. "This is it, the first step to a new world," he whispered. Even though he believed he could do what needed to be done, something in him could hear the emptiness in his words. Something that longed to return.

The six Obitos' vanished behind the swirling vortex of Kamui, five of them materialized behind the five Anbu standing guard inside the barrier and punctured their hearts with a sharp wooden rod. Once the bodies hit the ground, the real Obito, who was walking calmly towards the entrance of the cave, released the jutsu.

Another agonizing scream was let loose. Obito's neutral face fell to a frown before he caught it. Now was not the time to fall victim to this world was again.

"I should have known you'd be here." The familiar voice of Black Zetsu stated.

Obito felt the sting of anger rise. Visions of Asami flashed before him, then the imagination of a dead Zetsu. Ignoring the need to completely dismantle him, Obito spoke keeping his voice as calm and monotoned as he could. "Why wouldn't I? This is the best time to retrieve the Kyubi."

"Ah. That is good, we were worried you still held some feelings for your old comrades." Obito couldn't see him, but he could here the smile with every word he spoke.

"I don't any feelings for these counterfeit people," Obito said through gritted teeth. He could try to attest this sudden change in mood to solely Zetsu, yet some of his anger was placed on him for a reason he didn't have the time to understand.

"Very well, we'll record what transpires her for your review later on. The world will begin to change after tonight. At that will be all thanks to you Obito."

Obito took a few moments before glancing behind him verifying that Zetsu was no longer behind him, he swiveled his he forward and continued his slow pace towards the cave's entrance. He reached the mouth of the cave, ignoring the continued yells coming from within. He slyly stole a peek inside.

Kushina had just delivered her baby. The Sandaime's wife was currently cleaning the child with the help of a woman he did not recognize. Minato-Sensei was asking his tired wife if she was okay. Obito glanced over the rest of the space not seeing or sensing anyone else inside.

Taking a few deep breaths, precious moments he needed to further convince himself he was doing the right thing, he bent his knees, building chakra through out his legs. With one last breath Obito took off towards the two older women. A wooden rod erupted from each of his hands pointing towards them. As his foot hit the ground right behind them, the sound of a thousand chirping birds reverberated throughout the entire cavern. Obito's sharingan quickly glimpsed Kakashi standing on the ceiling, bright chirping lightning shrouding his right hand. His eye moved onto a wide eyed Kushina and Minato-Sensei. Sensei's eyes narrowed and both he and Kushina vanished in a flash of yellow.

Obito cursed under his breath returning his attention to a Kakashi who sprang from the ceiling. His right arm outstretched, ready to kill Obito here and now. Obito pushed chakra into his right eye, feeling the familiar sensation of his mangekyo activating, he stood still as Kakashi flew through him. Obito twisted his body, raising his left leg, he spun coming to a halt when his kick connected with Kakashi's raised knee. He blocked it, Obito thought before Kakashi thrusted the Chidori forward.

Obito felt Kakashi go through him as his foot swiftly returned to the ground. The sound of chirping birds quieted down leaving an eerie silence among the two former friends. A flash of yellow took his attention away from the silver haired jonin. Minato-Sensei quickly placed a hand on the two older women before once again vanishing in the light.

A sudden feeling of warmth tickled the back of his neck causing him to turn just in time to see a leg coming towards him. Obito shifted his weight ready to counter, the leg passed through him. He followed the leg up the attacker's body before he realized who it was. A moment of hesitation fell over him as he stared into the angry brown eyes. A sharp force of pain erupted on his left side, skidding him a few paces away.

He took in a sharp breath and turned to his two former teammates. Both in their own taijutsu stances. Anger and killing intent evident on their eyes. Obito settled into his own, well into Madara's. He narrowed his eye waiting for the moment they'd commence their attack. He knew that Kakashi would be the bigger problem, but his focus was more on the enraged brown eyes. He could feel himself be lost in them, they same way he felt every time she would look at him. His breath caught in his throat as they softened on him.

"Obito?" she lightly questioned.

Obito fought to keep his eye from widening, he forced it deeper into the glare. "No." Yes.

Her brow furrowed, "who are you?"

"Who I am is of no concern." I'm Obito. At that moment when she displayed a look of sadness towards him, he wanted nothing more than to go to her. He wanted nothing more than to cry into her arms and hear her soft voice tell him everything would be okay. Instead he felt his body continue to stay in his stance. Unmoving until the moment where he could strike.

"It is of concern. I want to know. I need to know if it's you, Obito!" Her voice started off reserved but by the end of her question the clear emotion had risen.

Obito felt a twinge in his heart at the emotional turmoil she let through. "I'm afraid I don't know who that is. However, if you do want an answer then I'd say that I am no one." Both her and Obito were shocked at his words. They weren't his, these words were of someone else. He wanted to tell her it was him, but it stopped before it spilled out of his mouth.

Her stance eased as the unnerving look of sadness heightened, "If you are no one, then that would be lonely. You are in a world surrounded by people some who know your name, yet you choose to be no one. That doesn't sit well with me."

Obito could feel his stern look soften with her words. He understood the true meaning of her statement. She was telling him that she is here. She is here for him; she wants to make sure he'd never be alone again. He felt the tears budding in the corners of his eye. His hands dropped an inch. He was frozen, the urge to run to her was starting to become overwhelming. But his feet did not move. They were plastered on the ground. His hands however did drop another couple inches. He could feel his body creating an opening.

"Sen'ei Jashu!" A new voice called from behind him. Several snakes wrapped around his body, as five clones of the Sandaime surrounded him, each of them quickly releasing a separate elemental jutsu.

"Oodama Rasengan!" Another voice yelled, as a large ball of swirling chakra came down on him. All six jutsu hit him at the same time. Obito's reflex activated Kamui in the nick of time.

Obito stood alone inside his dimension, his heart beating quickly from the near miss. He could feel the adrenaline rise. He no longer needed to return; he could go to where Sensei took Kushina. Yet as his chakra activated the vortex, he knew that even if it meant having to fight the former hokage and two of his students, he wanted to be close to her. He needed to be by her because he knew he never would again.

Even as his body disappeared a subconscious part of him hoped that they'd beat him badly enough to save him from himself. He knew in that thought, what he really wanted was to be with her. With his friends. But that hard pull from the seal on his heart wouldn't allow him to do so.

Rin's wide eyes wouldn't leave the area where the masked Uchiha once stood. She could see it before the Sandaime and two of the legendary Sannin attacked, she could see his shell cracking. At first she assumed it was because he knew she could sense his loneliness. But that moment right before the jutsus hit, his eye betrayed him. The look that flashed over the red and black was one of guilt, pain, sadness, and of wanting. The way he stared at her told her how much he wanted to go to her. She had her reservations of this man being Obito, but that one look made her sure. That was the boy she loved, the boy she lost. Rin's eyes narrowed in determination, she wanted nothing more than to rescue that boy from whatever darkness has grasped him.

"Looked like that did it, eh, Orochimaru?" The tall white haired sannin said nudging a very annoyed snake sannin.

"You truly are an idiot; it was apparent to everyone that he escaped before the attacks connected. Well everyone other than you," Orocohimaru jeered.

"Enough you two, keep on guard he may return." The Sandaime ordered.

A flash of yellow flickered next to Kakashi, revealing a now visible Minato-Sensei, "did you get him? Was it Obito?" he asked.

Rin gelt a tightness in her chest at the mention of his name. The way her sensei said was with sadness and anger. She couldn't blame him if he was angry. The fact that he showed up her tonight was proof that he was willing to extract the Kyubi, effectively ending the new mother's life.

"No, and I'm not sure Hokage-Sama." Kakashi answered, he still had his headband up. Signaling to those around him that he was sure the Uchiha would return.

Jiraiya walked over to Minato-Sensei and slapped him on the shoulder, "Stop worrying about that guy. He sure didn't seem strong enough to handle us. He probably ran away at the sight of the legendary Toad Sage!" Jiraiya boasted with a loud laugh. A moment later his face went serious, "more importantly Minato how is Kushina?"

"She is fine, so is Naruto. She is a little shaken up considering that it could be Obito who attacked. Bikawo is making sure she rests." Sensei answered.

"Maybe we can try to set up traps just in case he comes back," Kakashi mused.

"It's a bit late for that." The voice of 'Obito' declared.

All six shinobi turned to see the masked Uchiha standing at the same ceiling spot where Kakashi began his original attack. A chain hung connected to both his wrists. His red eye glared at them, even her. His eye then changed into something similar to Kakashi's eye smile.

Long roots tore from ceiling quickly advancing towards them. The six shinobi strung together hand signs releasing a jutsu strong enough to tear the roots apart. A cloud of dust settled over them, her searched for where 'Obito' went. A loud thud made her bring her attention to in front of her. Orochimaru was flying through air before crashing into the wall. 'Obito' stood where he was, the same eye smile could be seen through the small hole of his mask.

'Obito' then vanished in a vortex, reappearing behind Sandaime wrapping his chains around his neck. The same vortex began to pull the old Hokage into his eye. Rin moved to use a jutsu to grab him, but her sensei was faster between a series of yellow flashes Sensei retrieved his elder settling next to Jiraiya.

The sound of chirping birds sounded through out as Kakashi once again tried to impale 'Obito'. Rin expected the Chidori to go through him, however 'Obito' smacked the hand away dispersing the lightning jutsu. He quickly struck Kakashi with a punch that landed on his throat. 'Obito' set both his hands on Kakashi's shoulders using the choking jonin to flip himself over kicking Jiraiya away before landing on his feet. He then twisted his body kicking Kakashi into Sensei.

Snakes struck towards him, this time they did go through him. 'Obito' turned towards Orochimaru going through hand signs faster than Rin could comprehend, "Katon: Bakufu Ranbu!" Flames carried by a vortex stream of wind rushed towards Orochimaru at incredible speeds. It took less than a second before the Snake Sannin was engulfed in flames. The flames dissipated and Orochimaru seemed to crawl out of his body's mouth.

'Obito' easily avoiding a punch from Jiraiya aimed at his back. The Sandaime threw large shuriken that passed through 'Obito.' He grabbed Jiraiya's right arm and with four quick strikes that sounded like lightning striking the ground he made the great Toad Sage fall to a knee, blood trinkling out his sure to be broken nose. He lifted Jiraiya swinging him into an attacking Minato, both powerful shinobis hit the wall with a loud crack.

Rin watched with a hint of pride, if this was Obito then he has become strong like he always said he would. Even if only a minute has passed, to hold your own against this caliber of shinobi was a feat in its own. One thing that poked into her mind was he hasn't even attacked her yet. That thought went from a low rumble into a roaring inferno of anger. He didn't deem her even worthy of attacking, to him she was weakest therefore not a problem. She loved him but she was going to teach him that she is also a force not to be reckon with, 'Isobu.' She called within her mind. She was answered with a heavy chuckle and power that soured through her.

The familiar feeling of the biju's chakra surrounded her, all shinobi rogue or not turned to her. All with a surprise look on their eyes. Sensei however looked worried, she blamed herself for it she was keeping this training a secret. She looked to 'Obito' his eye once again betrayed the sadness within him. She jumped forward and swiped at the masked Uchiha in the fraction of a second. Her clawed hand slashed his chest. She twirled around and hit him with the chakra tail that usually waved behind her. Everyone including her were surprised she landed two hits when no one else has been able to lay a finger on him.

The masked man hit the wall letting out a small cough. His eye was situated only at her, but there was no anger, only understanding. She could feel he knew why she attacked, she wanted him to look at her as an equal not some little girl who needed to be protected.

The man vanished within his vortex once again. When he reappeared, nobody expected there to be six of him. All six landed a few hits. She was hit in the stomach, then a kick to the side of her left thigh, finished with an uppercut that smashed her teeth together.

She stumbled backwards, ignoring the pain she whacked the man in front of her with a left strike. When the hit connected his head was torn off, with the sound of a groaning tree. A wood clone? Rin asked herself in surprise. She was never told the masked Uchiha could use Mokuton. And she knew that Obito couldn't use it. Seriously, what happened to you Obito?

She looked around seeing that they all dispatched their cloned opponents into broken piles of disappearing wood. She couldn't help but be bewildered that there was another Mokuton user. A thunderous smash returned her attention to what was going on. Kakashi was bounced off the ceiling from what she assumed was a hit from the masked Uchiha.

She quickly scanned the area trying to find sight of him. He reappeared from his vortex in front of Sensei hitting him with another thunderous hit in his stomach. Spit and bile spewed out of her Sensei's mouth. As soon as he landed the hit, he once again vanished.

She ran towards her sensei when another loud hit reverberated in her ears. This time it was Orochimaru. She stopped and settled into her taijutsu stance. He appeared again kicking the Sandaime in the head with a loud smash.

His next appearance was in front of her, as soon as she saw him, she threw a punch. Her fist went through him as he sent his own into her stomach. The air escaped out of her as did the power that surrounded her. As she fell to her knees he vanished once again. Her eyes were forced closed as wave after wave of pain traversed from her stomach. She could hear him hitting her comrades.

She lightly opened her eyes stopping when all she could see with her left eye was a spinning red and black one. Her body froze from the genjutsu, "You've gotten stronger Rin. I'm proud of you." A familiar voice said to her. The genjutsu faded just as quick as it came. Her eyes snapped open, "Obito," she whispered seeing her five comrades clutching at their injuries.

"How do you fight someone you can't hit?" Jiraiya asked spitting out a glob of blood.

"By being faster." Minato-Sensei replied with a wink.

Rin then looked around her surroundings littered within the debris were many of her Sensei's special kunai. She watched as Minato-Sensei placed a hand on his sensei's shoulder. 'Obito' appeared in the center of the six shinobi his sharingan going over them. When his line of sight passed by her sensei both him and Jiraiya vanished in a flash of yellow.

'Obito' was able to only turn his head when the two Konoha shinobi reappeared sending a rasengan into the Uchiha. Minato-Sensei landed his on 'Obito's' back while Jiraiya hit him in the face with his rasengan. 'Obito' fell over himself. Smoke streamed from his back, and she assumed his face as well.

She then gasped when she notices the pieces of his broken mask.

"Hurry put the chakra sealing tags on him," the Sandaime ordered. Kakashi pulled out one of the tags they all carried and hurriedly moved to set it on 'Obito.' Kakashi's tag was an inch away from him, when turned around and grabbed Kakashi's arm. 'Obito' twisted Kakashi's arm behind his body while he wrapped his free arm around Kakashi's neck. Minato-Sensei made a small movement to save his student when a loud crack stopped him. Kakashi hollered in pain.

"Another movement from you Yondaime, and your student suffers another injury." The chilling voice hissed.

Rin looked from her teammate's painful expression to the sharingan that stared from the right side of the silver hair. She could see scars that went up underneath his long black hair. The rest of his face was hidden.

"Show us your face, Obito!" Minato-Sensei ordered.

'Obito' released his grasp on Kakashi's arm and punched him in his bottom right ribs. A loud crunch made Rin squirm. "I said no movement, that includes talking Yondaime."

"Stop it Obito!" Rin pleaded.

"What is your obsession with trying to make me into this Obito? That is not who I am." 'Obito' replied staring at her with his sharingan.

"What do you want?" Sandaime questioned.

"The two jinchuriki." 'Obito' simply replied.

"I'm sure you see why won't allow that." Sandaime returned.

The rising crinkle of the scars under his eye let them know he was smiling. "I'm sure you can see you don't have a choice." In fast movements 'Obito' sent the bottom of his foot into Kakashi's left leg snapping the bone. His left arm that was around Kakashi's throat quickly moved sending his fingers into Kakashi's left eye pulling out the gifted sharingan. Another scream erupted from Kakashi's throat before the pain forced him unconscious. Before the silver haired jonin fell, 'Obito' began to vanish when a yellow flash behind him forced him to stop.

Minato had stabbed him with one of his kunai, right in the middle of 'Obito's' back. Everyone stayed frozen as the man's face was revealed. He looked similar to Obito, but he was clearly someone else. He did appear to be around her age, but his features were sharper to where Obito's were rounder.

"Madara." Sandaime gaped, "how are you alive?"

Madara jumped into the air away from sensei, but he used Hiraishin no Jutsu to kick the Uchiha back towards the ground where Jiraiya hit him in the midsection with another rasengan. Madara keeled over blood spurting from his mouth. Snakes flew from underneath Orochimaru's sleeve each snake biting into Madara.

"That should immobilize him." Orochimaru calmly stated.

Madara coughed as his right arm began to slide off his body. Instead of blood being attached to the end that was connected to his shoulder it was a white claylike substance. Despite his situation Madara smiled at her, "I'll be back for you, jinchuriki." Madara then vanished into his vortex.

"Ah so it is an ability from his sharingan, oh well my mistake." Orochimaru said as he walked away.

"Kakashi!" Minato-Sensei yelled attempting to wake up his student.

"Minato can you reach him?" Jiraiya asked.

"No, I can no longer feel his chakra. But there's no need to worry at the moment. The time I feel his chakra I'll end this." Sensei answered.

Rin wanted to go to her teammate, but she couldn't move. That smile Madara had on his face reminded her of the smile Obito would give her after loosing another sparring match against Kakashi. It was a tired smile that attempted to hide his disappointment of losing. That was the smile Madara gave her. When he said he'd be back for her, it didn't sound sinister to her. It sounded like a promise between two close people who were forced to spend some time separated from each other.

She knew that face was a lie. She was now sure that he was Obito and she was going to save him.

Hope ya'll like the new chapter! I know it's shorter than the last few chapters, but it was almost meant to be this fight. I always planned that once Rin came face to face with Obito she'd 100% know. That's how strong her connection is with him. I had trouble with this fight, because I knew the only way to stop Obito from killing Kushina and Minato like in canon was having some extra help. I also didn't want Minato to win they way he did in canon, but I also knew that he would be the key to beating Obito since Kakashi doesn't know about the mangekyo yet. I used the fight he had against the Kiri anbu as a basis for this one. What I got from that fight was that he hits hard and you can't hit him unless you can literally teleport lol. I know I'm not great at writing fighting scenes but I hope you guys enjoyed it despite its flaws. I made Obito use Mokuton more in this fight because I felt like he didn't use that often except for the wooden rods. I also liked the idea of him using Kamui the way Minato uses the Hiraishin. I'm assuming the hiraishin is faster than Kamui since that's what Minato used to escape in canon, so in this fic it'll also be faster. Either way I'm rambling.

I also have an idea of another ObiRin fanfic. It's a modern AU, but its just a seedling right now don't know if it will bloom into anything or not, but let me know if you'd want me to do it or not.

Anyways thank you for the support for this story, all the comments continue to motivate me to keep writing.

Oh yeah what do you guys think about Obito getting his eye back, I didn't even plan that when I wrote the outline for this chapter. I was just writing and it felt right lol. Obito will be complete! Lol.
