I do not own Naruto, Kishimoto does

Rin bolted upright beads of sweat rolling down her body. Her heartbeat roared in her chest. She took in deep breaths trying to calm herself. It was just a nightmare. A nightmare, one that felt so real to her. She remembered it clearly, her running through a destroyed Konoha. Broken buildings, signs of jutsu that scarred the earth, and bodies littered everywhere. She ran with an urgency to reach the Hokage Tower. When she reached the now destroyed building, she had to swallow the fear of those closest to her being dead.

She ran trying to find anyone who was still alive, more worry began to plague her mind. Until she stopped in her tracks, she found Obito kneeling over two bodies. He was covered in blood; she couldn't tell if it was his or someone else's. His back was too her, but she could guess the look on his face. She slowly approached Obito stopping when he spoke in a pained voice, "if only I had listen to my instincts maybe things would be different."

"What are you saying Obito?" Rin desperately asked.

Obito still didn't look at her, his eyes still on the bodies in front of him. "I was such a fool," he whispered.

Rin could feel a realization hit her, Obito did this. He killed all these people, he destroyed her home. "Why did you do this?! You said you'd keep your light bright! We accepted you back! How could you do this Obito! I hate you!" Rin yelled.

Obito finally turned to her, his eyes wide and tears streaming down his face mixing in with the blood. Rin gasped at his eyes, they were the same amethyst rippled eyes that Nagato has. "You believe I did this?" he choked out. Before Rin could answer she woke up.

Rin sighed and stared at her reflection from the mirror that stood on a dresser in front of her bed. Her hair was a mess and sleep clear in her eyes. The dream left her confused, while Obito has managed to worm his way into her dreams, she's never had one of him destroying the village. Not even when she knew he was the man behind the mask.

She glanced out the window seeing the still dark sky, stars lightly beaming at the world below. With a look at the clock she let out a groan, 4:41. It was still over an hour before she was set to wake, but after that nightmare she knew that for today, her slumber was over. Deciding that a walk would be best to clear her mind, she quickly changed into her day clothes. A navy blue sleeveless top, same colored pants, black shinobi sandals, and a purple skirt. She settled on leaving her ninja gear, she was in Konoha so the likelihood of being attacked was near zero. And if she happened to be attacked, well it was a good thing that she is a weapon. A powerful one at that.

Rin was never one to feel superior due to how strong she was now. Her strength and skill now was on par with high level jonin, and that's before she even uses some of Isobu's chakra. Despite the growth of her strength, she still sometimes feels like that little girl who was constantly captured. That little girl who had to be protected by her teammates. Sure she was the medic in the team, but that didn't mean she didn't want to be fighting right next to them.

Now she had the strength to do so. Well to an extent. Kakashi is still a genius and despite the loss of his eye, he is still able to come out on top against incredibly strong opponents. And then there was Obito, he has enough strength now to be able to absolutely destroy his opponents without even breaking a sweat. He had to be around 14 when he fought her, Kakashi, Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Minato, and the Sandaime to a standstill and was able to take his sharingan back. His strength has only grown since. She truly believed that there may be no one in the ninja world who can defeat him, at least not on their own.

Rin walked out of her apartment and started a slow trek through Konoha. As she walked through the barren pathways, she began to think about all the things she has to do today. She still needed to do a report on a mission she completed weeks ago. Because of the Obito problem, she hadn't been taking many missions. She focused solely on getting stronger to help knock some sense into her teammate. She also has been studying medical ninjutsu, to a point that she was now one of the top healers in Konoha. Despite her enjoying practicing medicine, she truly loved being shinobi. She loved fighting and completing missions to help Konoha. She loved being a jonin.

She also realized that today was the day of Obito's surprise party. The buildings around her flashed to the destruction of her nightmare. Quickly she shook it away. There may have been a time Obito was capable of doing something like that, but she believed fully in her heart that Obito would never do so now. That's not him. It'll never be him. He is home now; he knows that there are many who care for him. And the party tonight will definitely remind him of that. The true Obito will never hurt his friends, and she doesn't think anyone will be able to manipulate him again.

Glancing at the Hokage Monument, she figured that sitting up there would give her a great view of the sun rising. She slowly made her way up, thinking that now that the Obito mission was over she can focus on her career as a shinobi. Maybe even one day being an instructor and getting her own team of genin. She's seen Obito training Naruto and despite his new cold exterior she can see that he finds teaching the young boy enjoyable.

As she reached the top of the stone face of her sensei, she froze at the silhouette of a man sitting at the edge. Even in the darkness she could tell who the man is. Obito.

Without even turning to look at her he spoke, "am I being summoned?" Despite the tiredness of his voice, his demeanor seemed to be one of man constantly on guard.

"No, I just came up here to watch the sunrise," Rin answered. "What are you doing here?"

Obito shrugged, "I haven't been sleeping much the past few days. There has been many late nights formulating a plan for peace with Minato, Jiraiya, and the Sandaime."

Rin walked towards him, "I didn't know Jiraiya-sama was back in the village."

"He got in four days ago," he responded as she sat next to him.

She gave him a smile, "I guess your lack of sleep is because the plan for peace isn't going so smoothly."

Obito continued to stare at the village below, "you are correct. Those three have many great ideas, but those ideas can't be sustained in the long run. Many of the trade agreements they have proposed would help now for sure, but greed will always be a play inside the human heart. It wouldn't be long before some would want more." He shifted his legs to dangling of the monument's edge. "I still have spies positioned in all the nations, and from what I've been told I don't think that Kiri will be as agreeable to a trade agreement and a peace treaty with Konoha as I originally assumed." He turned to her with a defeated smile, "apparently they are still furious that we kept the Sanbi."

Rin frowned, "well they can be all the furious they want, but they aren't getting Isobu back. He is my friend."

Obito's smile grew for a second before falling completely, "I know. And we would never give you or him up to them. However, it does throw more complications to our plans. There is also Kumo, who are trying to increase their military strength, since they feel threatened that we have two jinchurikis as they do. Trying to bring them into a peace agreement was always going to prove difficult, they think that any improvement from a nation with more or similar military power is a threat to them.

And as long as Minato is Hokage, I can never see Iwa even opening communication to us. That Tsuchikage will never forgive him for killing his son along with a thousand of his soldiers." Obito let out a sigh, "which leaves Suna who we already have a peace treaty with. In order to keep that peace we've come up with a trade agreement that'll be more favorable for them. I do think that we could get many of the smaller nations to sign agreements, but going that route with them over the bigger nations would cause some to think that we are trying to grow our own military strength. It's a fine line that they must walk and despite my own doubts I am still putting my trust in Minato."

Rin smiles, "that is better than you trying to go at it alone. Sensei will find a way, he wants peace just as much as you do Obito." She took in a deep breath, "how are you doing?"

Obito tenses at her question. She can see his mind racing, "what's going on?"

Obito glances at her before returning his gaze to the now waking village below, "it has been years since anyone has asked how I am doing. I didn't know how to answer since I never know how I am doing. I never know if I am doing the right thing or not. I am regularly confused with my feelings. That is why it was easy to follow the flow of a path I set myself on. Only deviating when something diverts that path into a new one. I follow along because it's the only thing I can focus on. Left without a purpose leaves me alone with my mind, leaving me to never know how I am feeling. I haven't felt happiness in years I wouldn't even know how that would feel. The only feelings I know I understand is the sadness and anger that blankets me."

"Do you ever try to understand your feelings?" Rin asked.

Obito shook his head, "no. There is no point to do so, it keeps me from doing what needs to be done. Even know I am only forcing myself to reacclimate in order to help Minato bring peace."

"Do you ever think about our feelings, do you care?" Rin asked before she could stop herself.

"I do, more so than my own feelings," he answered.

"You don't really show it," she responded.

Obito nods, "I don't know how to do so without falling into the chaos of my mind. I need to focus on my path, even if I don't know where it may lead. I know that the care all of you have for me is important to me, and the path I am on now. However, I don't know how to fix things with you all." A deep frown sunk onto his face, "Minato and Kushina treat me with an unconditional love that I thought I never would have. It confuses me. I don't know how to show them my thanks, or how to make it up to them. I've only caused them pain and worry. I used to be able to know what others were feeling and even could do things to make someone feel better, but now everyone's feelings are confusing to me. I never know what someone is feeling, my mind immediately jumps to they are thinking whether or not to trust me or kill me. I no longer know how to reciprocate the feelings of others. I've tried to think of ways to make it up to all of you even Kakashi, but I am lost on how."

Taking a breath he continued, "It becomes even worse when I think of you. When trying to find a way to improve my relationships all I end up doing is just being here, a shell of my former self. I am here but I know I'm withdrawn still with you all. I don't know how to open up and let you in. That is why I gave you all my memories, you can see what I have done, but I can't show you how I feel." His eyes locked onto the sun peaking its way behind the horizon, "I do see how all of you look at me with some reservations, even though you all are nice enough not to say anything. I don't blame any of you for having such thoughts, I do deserve it."

Rin stared at him; furrowed brows were the only crack in his stoic expression. Now though learning from what he said, she realized that the stoic façade he has been portraying was like a wall holding back a storm of unexplored feelings. Yet she needed to know the answer to a question, "why is it worse when you think of me?"

His furrowed brows relaxed as he took in a deep breath, "because when it comes to you everything is more confusing. You were my world and then I thought I lost you. Then I fell unto a path that pitted me against you and I hurt you. And I hate myself for causing you pain. There are times when I want nothing more than to have things be the way they once were with her, but a majority of the time I don't think I deserve to have your light in my life. When it comes to you I am being torn with the thoughts of doing anything to get closer to you, or bury myself in my grief."

Rin stays silent for a few moments absorbing what he said. It is true she herself is confused by what he may feel for her adding to the confusion of her own feelings. The one thing she does know is that she has felt betrayed by him, but that feeling of betrayal hasn't destroyed her true feelings for him. Yet she doesn't know what that true feeling is.

"I know now you are lost on how to interact with them, but I know you can do it Obito. I now you aren't that same kid, and that now you are someone who is always stuck within himself but when you are training Naruto, that is where I see small glimpses of your former self. And I thank you for not keeping your thoughts and feelings from me again. What has hurt me the most isn't what you have become, or your actions when you were lost in the darkness, no what really hurt me was the darkness you experienced before that boulder fell on you. You didn't tell me the person who was closest to you. That is what hurt, I was your best friend and I didn't know what you were dealing with, you didn't show me the real you. Not the way you just did right now. That hurts me so much. But I will say that putting me in a genjutsu after I told you I loved you is definitely a close second." Rin said in a huff.

Obito turned to her and for the first time since that boulder fell, she could see exactly what he was feeling. Guilt and sadness. His eyes shimmered with pain as he looked at her, "I'm sorry Rin." His eyes where fully settled on hers, "I will find some way to atone for my past mistakes. I'll find a way to make things right with you. Even as much as I want to find peace, I want things to be okay between us as well. I'll work for your forgiveness, because the only thing that has remained constant in my life since I was five, is that you will always be the light of my life. And I'll never contribute to removing your light again. When you need me, I'll always be there. I'll be whoever you need me to be. I'll be someone you can always count on. I'll be in your life as long as you want me to be. I'll always try to bring you happiness, I'll never bring you sadness again. I promise you." Obito stood, "I'll make it up too you, but for now I need to get going." Obito began to walk away before turning to her once again, "thank you Rin for talking to me."

Rin nodded before saying, "we are having a team dinner at the BBQ place tonight at 7, don't be late."

Obito nods with a smile before disappearing in his usual swirling vortex. Rin sighed once he was gone. She continued to sit there going everything Obito has said, "you will always be the light of my life." Rin's cheeks flushed. She put a hand on her chest as her heart paced more rapidly. A feeling of warmth gripped her heart. She remembers this feeling all too well, she still loves him. Even though she doesn't know who his anymore she can't deny it, the true feeling she has for Obito is love. The memory of her nightmare that gave way to this circumstance has fallen away, that isn't Obito, not anymore.

Obito cautiously stared back at the big onyx eyes fixated on him. He found it unnerving how this boy can have such big eyes, worse big eyes that seem to be studying him. He glanced to the other smaller pair of onyx eyes, even though smaller they also seemed to be studying him. Both of these children were completely unnerving.

A loud yawn sounded to his right, Obito quickly looked at the young tag along who rubbed the sleep out of his own eyes. Obito returned his gaze to the two boys, "okay I'm sure Fugaku has told you that I'll be training you from now on. My name is Uchiha Obito, it's nice to meet you Itachi and Shisui." Obito finished with a smile that he was sure resembled Minato's when he first introduced himself as the sensei for team seven.

Itachi's hand shot up, Obito nodded at him to speak. "Why is your sharingan activated?" the young Uchiha asked.

"Because things were done to me that allow me to be able to keep my sharingan activated without any chakra drain," Obito answered.

"What things?" Shisui asked.

"It doesn't matter, it's not something you can train therefore I am not going to go into my life story." Obito answered. "Now Fugaku has told me where he thinks your skill level is at, but I need to see for myself that is why today we will start with a spar. You two will spar against me."

Itachi once again rose his hand, Obito nodded. "Are you sure you want to spar against the both of us? Looking at your chakra, I'd say you are about the same level as a average jonin."

Obito let out annoyed sigh, "I am matching my strength to where Fugaku says you two are at. Trust me if I was to go all out against the two of you, both of you would end up dead. I want both of you to come at me with your full strength without using your sharingans. Do not hold back."

The two boys gave each other a quick glance before nodding and rushing at Obito. Shisui threw a quick punch that Obito leaned away from directly in the path of Itachi's strike. Obito knocked the punch away with his arm, before slamming his elbow into Itachi's chest. Obito moved to kick Shisui who was now behind him, however his kick would never land. Shisui seemed to teleport away. Kawarimi, Obito thought impressed with how quick he could do it.

Obito slipped into the standard Uchiha taijutsu stance, watching the two boys intently. He took in a small breath as once again the two Uchiha's rushed him, this time however Itachi was the first to attempt a strike. Obito dodged it, and then pivoted away from Shisui's attack. Obito found himself quickly loosing ground as the boys' speed seemed to have increased. Every time Obito was about to hit Shisui he'd use Kawarimi to avoid the strike. Obito almost felt the way it felt when someone tried to hit him and he'd use his Kamui. Itachi, however, Obito was able to hit, but not as much as he expected to. It became clear that Itachi outshined Shisui with taijutsu in both attacking and defending.

Both boys were able to land a few strikes on Obito, they are strong. Obito allowed himself to fight at high jonin level, doing so allowed himself to start regaining ground against the two boys. Obito was able force Shisui to use kawarimi further away then what he has been doing, giving Obito the opportunity to attack Itachi with a furious flurry of strikes that the young boy couldn't defend. After being hit multiple times Itachi put distance between himself and Obito. He reached into his pouch and threw a kunai up in the air, as Obito tracked the kunai he threw a second one hitting the original and sending it straight to Obito.

Even though the speed would make a genin piss himself, Obito easily dodged it however, he found himself face to face with a smiling Shisui who quickly threw his arms up. Glancing at Itachi he saw him also throw his arms up. Another look around he saw ninja wire wrapping around him. Obito quickly activated his kamui and walked past the ninja wire. Both boys then stopped and stared at him with a perplexed look.

"Why didn't we get you?" Shisui asked.

"You almost did but I used the ability of my mangekyo," Obito activated his mangekyo.

"I've unlocked my mangekyo too," Shisui responded activating his own.

Obito would be more surprised if Fugaku hasn't already told him, "good then we will continue this time you will use your sharingans."

The two boys nodded, with Itachi activating his three tomoe sharingan, before they rushed him again. Obito found himself impressed by their increase in speed and strength. He was fighting them at the level of an above average jonin, a level that he would say was A class. Yet they were pushing him back again. Obito quickly switched to fighting them with taijutsu he learned from Madara, but still keeping it at the same level. Doing that enable him to stand his ground, he hit Itachi as much as Itachi hit him. Even though Shisui continued to use kawarimi he was still able to land a few hits.

Suddenly Obito felt himself being pulled into a genjutsu, he quickly identified that Shisui casted the genjutsu without Obito having to look into his eyes. With an impressed smile Obito broke the genjutsu before deciding to increase the level he was fighting at. Obito ducked under one of Shisui's punches before coming back up again hitting the big-eyed boy with a strong uppercut, Obito then kicked Shisui in the chest sending him into a tree knocking him unconscious. Obito then turned to face Itachi who came at him with what Obito knew was his full strength. However, Obito was now fighting at what he believed to be kage level, so evading Itachi's strikes wasn't much of an issue.

Obito spun away from one of Itachi's kicks, continuing his spin Obito raised his left leg and his foot connected against the side of Itachi's head immediately knocking the boy out. As Obito's foot returned to the ground, an angry Sasuke rushed at him. Obito easily evaded his attacks surprised at how skilled the boy was. Obito caught one of Sasuke's punches, and then one of his kicks. As Sasuke tried to free himself from Obito's grasp, Obito chuckled, "you are at an above average level for being so young. Would you like me to train you as well?"

Sasuke stopped his squirming before giving him a shy, "yes." Obito nodded and let him go. "Am I going to train with Nii-san?"

Obito shook his head, "no you will have a different training partner who is at your same level."

Sasuke gave him a pout, "okay."

Obito and Sasuke sat for a few minutes before Shisui and Itachi woke up with a stream of ow's and ouch's. "You two should be proud at your strength, both of you are definitely on par with high level jonins. However, Itachi your taijutsu is to textbook. It was easy to telegraph a majority of your strikes. You need to mix in movements of your own to be able to catch opponents off guard. As for you Shisui your taijutsu is good, and you do mix in your own movements and you are incredible with Kawarimi it almost had me believing you were teleporting. But you should start using that skill offensively with your taijutsu instead of defensivly. It'll be the best thing to do to land surprising hits and to help set up jutsu unexpectedly. Those are my notes for right now, beginning tomorrow we will start training on that. And afterwards we will work on ninjutsu."

Once Obito was finished with training Itachi and Shisui he kamui'd to a cave that acted as the new Akatsuki hide out. Once his vision cleared, he found Kisame sitting on an old wooden chair sharpening a kunai. "Have you learned anything new?" Obito asked.

"I have learned something you may find interesting, the Mizukage is going to be meeting with the Tsuchikage in the coming days. For what I do not know, but considering that the Tsuchikage met with the Raikage last week, then it's not something good." Kisame answered.

Obito nodded, "how are the Gobi and Shichibi?"

Kisame smiled, "they are currently planning our deaths."

"Hn." Obito responded.

Kisame opened his mouth about to say something else but whatever it was, was drowned out by a loud and annoying, "Obi-kun!" Akari ran in and immediately attempted to hug Obito who only allowed her to pass through him and fall on the floor. Akari sat up and pouted, "I deserve a hug Obi-kun I found out who all the jinchuriki are."

Obito frowned, "we aren't trying to collect bijuu anymore."

Akari smiled, "I know Obi-kun, but with war looming on the horizon it's never a bad idea to know who has a bijuu sealed inside them."

"How do you know war is coming?" Obito asked.

Akari's smile grew, "a little birdie told me. You can come in now!"

Obito turned to the opening of the cave as a young man with red hair walked in, with a suspicious Kakuzu right behind him. "My name is Sasori, a rogue shinobi from Suna," the young man said. "I wish to join your organization."

Obito ignoring Sasori turned to Akari, "why did you bring a stranger here, without asking me?"

"You're hardly around so couldn't ask for permission. Plus, we need more members after that bitch killed half of us. We still are a criminal organization, right?" Akari responded.

"We are but I am the one who decides who has the opportunity to join. And at the moment we are mercenaries and bounty hunters." Obito turned to Sasori, "what can you offer the Akatsuki. Unfortunately for you if what you offer isn't good enough, I'll have to kill you."

Sasori nodded, "what I offer is information. I have a large network of spies that spans across every nation."

"What is the information you wish to offer the Akatsuki for your induction or death." Obito responded.

"The information I offer is the fact that the Tsuchikage is attempting to create a force with Kiri and Kumo in order to destroy Konoha." Sasori said.

Obito's frown deepened, "why would he choose now?"

"Because he is being backed by a kunoichi with what the Tsuchikage says 'strength that could rival Uchiha Madara,'" Sasori answered.

Mirah. "Why do you want to join the Akatsuki?"

"With a war coming, an organization like yours is the best way I can think of to improve my art and showcase it to the world." Sasori responded.

Obito nods, "welcome to the Akatsuki, Sasori of the Red Sand."

Sasori smiled, "so you did know how I was?"

"Of course, I always have my eye on S class rogues," Obito turned to the others, "I'll be back. I'm going to verify Sasori's information." Obito quickly kamui'd away.

The shadows always were and seem to continue being important. They can hold secrets and hide those who wish not to be seen. Inside the shadows Obito felt he had more control than any other time. No one would know he was there unless he chose to reveal himself. And he was an expert at learning the secrets all shadows hold. It is surprising the things people say and do when they believe they are alone. Even in the shadows of a blinding sun.

Such a case presented itself in front of him as he hid in the shadow of the Tsuchikage's building's large arching roof. Two members of Iwa's anbu leaned against a beam, the one to the left speaking of a sexual encounter with a resisting orphaned prisoner, while his comrade standing to his right chuckled. The glee in which the two anbu held during the conversation proved as a further reminder of how cruel this world is. A fact Obito has never forgotten. How easy that prisoner could have been Asami. Yes, this world was cruel especially to those born in situations where they only have themselves.

Of course, the only true way to counter this darkness is to present it with a darkness that can drown into its own shadows. An unrelenting darkness that targets the type of darkness that only performs actions for the sake of itself, whether it be for their future or their own entertainment. Obito has found the latter to be the cruelest of them all. But Obito knew he fell in the first category, because wanting peace was for his own future as much as the future of others. The difference is Obito's darkness is that unrelenting darkness that destroys the darkness of others, a fact these two were about to experience.

Obito moved in the shadows until he was within arm reach of the anbu on the right. With a quick thrust of his arm Obito struck the man in his throat, immediately crushing his esophagus. A quick look at the anbu on the left, left the cruel shinobi in a genjutsu. A quick and powerful elbow to the right anbu's temple instantly killed him. Obito smiled as the left anbu's face contorted in terror. The genjutsu placed on him was one where he experiences everything done to that prisoner, only this time he is the prisoner, and the actions are more severe.

Obito removed the clothing off the right anbu and put them on. Studying his face Obito used a transformation jutsu to become the anbu. Obito then placed his hand on the left anbu's shoulder implanting multiple mokuton seeds that will grow into branches that'll protrude from his body giving him an agonizing death. Obito set the seeds to kill him whenever he gets aroused. A cruel death for a cruel man. Well after he spends a few days in his genjutsu horror.

Returning to the task at hand, Obito phased through the window and slid into the shadow's of the hallway. Four windows, two on each side of the long hallway, were the only source of light. Leaving enough shadows to not be seen. The jutsu Obito uses to hide in the shadows is one where he uses both kamui and yin release to hide parts of his body and conform the shadows over the exposed parts of his body. It works best at night, but unless someone is actively looking it works fine during the day. It's the closest Obito ever comes to being invisible.

Obito extended his senses, scanning every chakra signature he came across. A frown scrawled unto his face, while they'll never be a match for Obito many of the shinobi in the building were strong. Stronger than any Iwa shinobi they faced during the third war. Sensing deep in them he found that each have a deeper hidden darker chakra that amplifies their own. Obito cursed himself for not noticing this on the two anbu he killed, their chakra was similar.

Continuing his probing Obito found two large chakra signatures, one was more than double the size of the other. The largest he recognized, Mirah. Obito silently moved towards the chakra signatures, leading him into a large office where the Tsuchikage sat behind a desk that was comically large. Mirah stood in front of the desk, her arms crossed, and her posture signifying she was annoyed. Obito decided that where he was close enough. He molded some of his chakra and pumped it into his ears, amplifying his hearing.

Onoki leaned forward placing his hands on his desk, "the Raikage has already agreed to the terms. When we destroy Konoha they will be given the Kyuubi, and we will be able to freely capture any remaining bijuu. We are also to have Konoha become a puppet state controlled by the Kage. As for the Mizukage, I'm sure he will agree as long as we can promise them the Sanbi."

"I don't care what you offer to any of those fools, I only want to see Konoha burn to the ground," Mirah snarled.

"I understand, I want nothing more as well. However, Konoha is formidable we've never been able to beat them. That is why gathering a force strong enough to overwhelm them and destroy them is going to be the most important part of our plan. They have two jinchuriki's, while with the Raikage's and Mizukage's help we will have three. You know well that the two jinchurikis we had have been captured by the Akatsuki." Onoki calmly responded.

Mirah dropped her hands to her side, "yes, I know that the Akatsuki is the Hokage's assassin's organization. They only answer to him or the Hokage. A force with Kiri and Suna will be enough, especially after we give every member of our combined army a curse mark. Don't worry about the Hokage and his assassin, I can kill the both of them."

Obito clenched his teeth as an overwhelming murderous feeling over came him. It'll be so easy to kill Onoki. He may not get Mirah with a surprise attack, but he was sure he can kill her. Obito activated his mangekyo, all he needs is to focus on her head and it'll disappear in a vortex. But he couldn't, he promised Minato that he would follow his lead, therefore Minato needs to know what they are planning. Obito will only act on Minato's orders. He snuck in once, he can do it again.

Obito activated Kamui letting it take him back to the Akatsuki's hideout. Looking at the four members, "Sasori's information has been verified, prepare yourselves war is more than likely going to tear these lands apart once again."

Obito returned to Konoha after spending a couple hours warning Nagato and Konan. Looking at the setting sun, he realized it was almost time for him to meet his teammates at the BBQ. He knew since it was a team dinner, then Minato would be there as well. However, the dilemma he faced was letting his friends enjoy this night or darkening it with the prospect of war.

He slowly walked to the restaurant looking around at the many people going on with their business. People living their lives, which may soon be lost. Obito's frown has steadily grew as he walked. All he could think about was about all these people happy that war was over, are about to be thrown into another. How many orphans will be created, how many will be engulfed by the darkness? Reaching the restaurant Obito sensed many chakra signatures. Those of his team, Kushina, Might Gai, Kurenai, Asuma, Anko, and Ebisu.

Obito sighed, this wasn't a team dinner, it was a surprise party. More than likely planned by Rin. Somewhere inside he was happy that Rin was finally throwing him his own party, but it was quickly overshadowed by the war that was coming.

As soon as he walked through the door he was bombarded by the many yells of surprise and the welcome backs. He frowned at all the smiling faces staring back at him. How many of them will die? His eyes found Rin's breaming with excitement and happiness. She could die, like hell I would let that happen again.

He decided that he would give them this night before telling them what he has found out. One last night of happiness, one last night without worries. Starting tomorrow their world will be thrown into the chaos of war once again. Obito forced his frown to turn into a smile, "thank you, it is great to see all of you once again."

Here is the new chapter, thankfully I am able to post this a lot faster than my last few lol. Sorry once again. I hope you enjoyed the long needed talk between Obito and Rin, it is important to their growth because Obito is finally more and more opening up fully to Rin. Also this is an ObiRin story so I need to start pushing that along as well.

Any ways I hope ya'll enjoyed the new chapter, please let me know what you think. Thank you for your continued support!
