They slowly pulled away while looking into each other's eyes, Shadow licked his lips. "You make me the luckiest man," he whispered.

Silver giggled nervously. "I'm so happy when I'm around you," they whispered back. Shadow lifted them up from the counter and set them back on their feet while some mushrooms dropped to the ground. "Whoops," Silver quickly bent over to pick up the mushrooms. At this moment it was Shadow's time to blush as Silver accidentally pressed their behind against Shadow while picking up the mushrooms. Shadow stroked it and Silver quickly stood up feeling startled.

"Maybe w-we should finish cooking dinner," Silver said nervously.

Shadow pressed Silver against his body. "I'm so going to pounce on you when you are ready," he whispered.

"I-I just need a-a bit more time, to get used to the idea" Silver said with a red face.

"Of course," Shadow whispered and leaned in to give Silver another kiss.

Silver continued singing and moving on the music while they made dinner together. Shadow just enjoyed watching Silver's movements and hearing their voice. It was so special to see how someone who was living on the streets could have so much fun. You would think that someone in Silver's situation would just be sad and miserable all the time, but they were still just an innocent who tries to make the best of it and see the bright side of life. That was something Shadow really admired about Silver.

"How's this?" Shadow asked holding out a spoon with some of the risotto for them to taste.

Silver tasted it and smiled, "It's perfect!"

Shadow took two plates and started to scoop the risotto onto them. "There is still some left, incase you want to have seconds," he said as he placed the plate in front of Silver who was sitting on the floor.

"I probably will," Silver said with a smile.

Shadow turned off the music, "Would you like to watch a movie?" he asked, Silver nodded, "What would you like to see?"

Silver thought for a moment, "Toy Story," they said with a smile.

"Isn't that a children's movie?" Shadow asked.

"Just because something is animated doesn't mean it is a children's movie," Silver replied.

"Okay, if you say so," Shadow looked up the film on his laptop and pressed play. Together they sat on the floor watching the film and enjoying their meal. "You were right, this risotto is really good." Shadow said.

Silver smiled, "I know what I like," they said, "I think mushrooms are my favourite ingredient."

"Good to know," Shadow said.

When they had finished their dinner, Shadow paused the movie and took the plates to the kitchen.

"Tea?" Shadow asked.

"Yes please."

Silver took the covers from the bed and snuggled underneath it on the floor while Shadow poured a cup of tea for them and a coffee for himself. He walked towards Silver and smiled at how cozy Silver looked, "Is there still some room for me?" Silver lifted the covers for Shadow to take his place, Silver leaned against Shadow under the covers and together they snuggled as they continued watching the movie.

As the end credits rolled Shadow asked "You want to watch part two now?" but Silver didn't respond. "Silver?" He looked down at them and saw Silver had fallen asleep against him, he smiled softly. Without moving too much Shadow carefully pulled Silver's backpack closer, took out Bunny Bun and placed it into Silver's arms. They immediately hugged it tight and a soft smile appeared on their face. Shadow started another film and wrapped an arm around Silver who snuggled some more against Shadow without waking up.

Silver slowly opened their eyes as they woke up. They were sitting on the ground and felt Shadow's arm around them. They looked up and saw Shadow had fallen asleep as well. It was very dark in Shadow's room. "Shadow?" Silver whispered softly. Shadow didn't respond. They softly poked him in his side, "Shadow?" He mumbled something unintelligible, "Do you want to go lay in the bed?" Shadow slowly nodded and let go of Silver. "Come," Silver said as they helped Shadow to stand up, who still wasn't completely awake.

Slowly Shadow laid down on the bed. Silver picked the covers from the ground and laid them over Shadow. They also went under the covers. Shadow turned to lay on his side and wrapped an arm around Silver. They started to blush a little as Shadow pulled Silver closer and snuggled his face into Silver's fur.

"Hmmm soft," Shadow whispered.

Silver smiled softly as it felt nice to be held like that. "Good night Shadow," Silver whispered.

Shadow held Silver tightly, "Love you," he mumbled in his sleep.

Silver suppressed a shy smile, "Love you too," they whispered softly back. They held Shadow's hand under the covers and closed their eyes to fall back asleep.

Shadow slowly woke up as bright sunlight lit up his room, apparently he forgot to close the curtains last night. Shadow opened his eyes when he noticed he was holding something tight and there was an itching at his nose. He had buried his face into Silver's neck and their fur was tickling his nose. He slowly breathed in Silver's sweet scent and hugged them tighter.

Silver slowly opened their eyes as they woke up and squinted their eyes a little because of the bright light. Silver turned their head to look over at Shadow who was also awake.

"Good morning," Shadow said with a smile.

Silver turned their body under the covers to snuggle up against Shadow. "Morning Shadow." They whispered. Shadow pulled Silver closer.

"It feels good to wake up next to you," Shadow whispered.

Silver blushed slightly and looked into Shadow's ruby eyes. "I like it too," they whispered.

Shadow slowly stroked Silver's cheek. He looked how Silver's white fur shone and reflected the bright sunlight, making it look like they were glowing, "You look like an angel."

Silver smiled shyly at Shadow with a slight colour on their cheeks.

Shadow pressed a soft kiss against their lips. Shadow pulled back and just looked over at Silver who was doing the same towards Shadow. They laid like that for a while, just looking at each other and taking in every detail of their faces. Silver moved a finger over the scar on Shadow's cheek, who closed his eyes as they did.

"How did you get this one?" Silver asked curious, as they remembered Shadow in the classroom with this fresh cut a few weeks ago.

"Scourge," Shadow answered.

"I don't like that guy," Silver commented. Shadow nodded, "How could you ever have been friends with him?" Silver asked.

Shadow moved Silver's hand away and looked in their eyes, "I just didn't know better," he responded.

Silver thought about their first day and the conversation they had heard between them. "I heard you two talk on our first day of school," Silver confessed.

"What are you talking about?" Shadow asked a little unsettled.

Silver looked away. "On the picnic bench, after our first school day." they replied as they thought about what Shadow had said. 'I call dibs on this one, at least for the first time. You can have her afterwards.'

"What did you hear?"

"I just heard you guys talk about me."

Shadow turned pale, "Silver, I didn't mean it."

Silver looked over at Shadow, "You didn't mean it then or now?" they asked.

"I was stupid then," Shadow said, "I would never let Scourge touch you."

"Thank you," Silver whispered, "I know you're different now, you were a real ass," they joked.

Shadow chuckled, "Yeah I know, I'm so sorry," he said and stroked Silver's cheek. "I really don't like the person I was before I met you."

"I'm glad you are, who you are now," Silver stroked the scar again and pressed a soft kiss against it. "I'm sorry Scourge hurt you."

"I don't deserve you."

"Yes you do," Silver said and smiled bright. "Some people deserve a second chance."

"How lucky I am," Shadow took Silver's hand and gave it a kiss, suddenly he moved on top of Silver who had a slight pink colour on their cheeks. He bent down and kissed their lips.

"Are you hungry?" Shadow asked. Silver's tummy started to rumbled to answer his question and they smiled a little awkwardly. "Ow I believe you are," Shadow said with a grin and tickled Silver's sides.

Silver laughed out loud, "Come on, hahaha, s-s-top it! T-that tickles." Shadow continued tickling Silver who shifted underneath him. "S-s-stop it!" Silver yelped trying to push Shadow away.

"Why? This is just so much fun for me," Shadow looked down at Silver who's cheeks had turned red. He stopped tickling and moved in to kiss Silver. Their tummy rumbled again, "Come on I'll make you some breakfast." Shadow stood up from Silver, "What would you like?"

"Just some toast and tea will be fine."

"Coming up," Shadow said with a wink and went to the small kitchen to boil some water and pop some bread into the toaster.

Silver sat up straight in the bed and stretched. Shadow looked as they did, "Did you sleep well tonight?"

"Yeah I really did," Silver said surprised, "It's been a while since I had."

"Yeah I noticed."

"What do you mean?" Silver asked confused.

Shadow went quiet for a bit, "I-I mean, I could see you had nightmares Wednesday, you were shifting and mumbling in your sleep," he quickly responded.

"It happens quite often to be honest."

"What is it you dream about?" Shadow asked concerned.

"I can never remember really," Silver lied.

Shadow poured Silver's tea and went over to them, "Here you go." He passed the mug which Silver took with both hands and Shadow kissed their forehead.

Silver smiled at Shadow, "Thank you."
