Chapter 7: The fairies inn

The incident with Fouquet was now over and a state of calmness was achieved for the Institute of Magic. After learning that Miss Longueville was actually Fouquet herself everyone else was quite shocked she was always a kind woman and a really hard worker too, how could she be so two faced steals from the place she worked, putting innocents in harm, and would have successfully gotten away with it, if not for the young band of spell casters.

Old Osmond explained that Louise, Kirche, and Tabitha along with the boy familiar captured the criminal, also returning the staff to destruction, but Louise stepped up telling everyone that her familiar who actually caught her, she really didn't do much. But as the students were about to agree Sora stepped up telling them that she did help. If she didn't pull out the staff of destruction things could have been worse.

Speaking of our young hero, he was sleeping on the grass, tired. "*Yawn*" Sora is now awake but still half asleep.

[Wow, you sleep for so long and so much, anyone ever tell you that you're like a cat.] The sword said.

Sora soon rubbed his eyes "Well everyone says I do sleep a lot."

[By the way, I got to ask something.]

"What is it?" Sora asked.

[Who or what's Kairi? You were muttering that in your sleep.] Derf said this caused Sora to blush out of pure embarrassment.

"W-Was I?"

[Yeah. You were, so?] The blade asked as Sora began to tell his weapon that she is one of his friends from childhood [But that don't explain why you'd mutter her name in your sleep.]

"We-Well I think about all my friends and I think about her a little more." Sora said with a flushed face scratching his face light

[Ah I understand now, you love this girl right?] Derf bluntly said, causing the keyblade wielder to turn beet red.

"Love! We grew up together! She's one of my best friends." Sora quickly denied as his companion continued to poke fun.

[Oh yeah then why are you blushing?]

"I'm telling you it's not like that!"

"Not like what?" A third voice, the spikey haired brunette turned and saw Siesta with a confused look "Sora, what are you talking about?"

"Nothing Siesta, nothing at all!" He told her as he was waving his hand back and forth which only made it more confusing, what was he so nervous about and why is his face so red?

"Um, alright? The raven haired girl merely shrugged off her confusion. Soon a group of students came by commenting as they saw both the keyblade wielder and the maid.

"Hey, look at those two together again."

"You know, Louise's familiar is one thing, but a maid using magic?"

"Yeah, I mean you saw it too, how she healed his injuries."

"Well she's not an elf, think she's a noble?"

"I doubt it, maybe she's a daughter of one, you know, love affair." They continue to spin theories. They still couldn't get that out of their memories of not one but two non-nobles with the ability to use magic, what was the reason for this.

Both of them could hear the students talking about them.

"People like to gossip don't they." Sora said as the raven haired girl agreed with him saying that they do have a right to say what they want but, after all, commoners with the ability to use magic is unheard of so they had a right.

The ground soon left as the maid turn face at the young spikey haired teen wondering what was on her mind. "So anyway, what were you doing?"

"Nothing really, Louise is in class so she had me stay out here, so I thought I would get some sleep.

She asked him if capturing the criminal was as difficult as they say, as Sora went over the details of their venture he said that she summoned a golem like that from the other day. He was glad that she didn't summon any heartless like the one that wrecked the stage during the exhibition, maybe she thought she wouldn't need to. But still he had an unsettled feeling in who is this mysterious character that gave her that rock troll heartless in the first place?

"This guy in black really worries you, doesn't he?" The maid asked

"Yeah, the Organization. All they ever did is use people as they saw fit, including me and my friends. We managed to stop them but..."

"But what?" She was not going to like what he was about to say

"Well we tried so hard to make sure they didn't succeed in their goals, we all fought with everything we got and we won. But it feels like all the fighting, all the sacrifices that we made... *Sigh, maybe it was all pointless." He said with depression in his voice and clouded eyes his sadness caused Siesta to look distraught. She didn't know what to say without striking a nerve, this must have been really important to him.

"Sorry about that. I don't mean to sound so-" Sora apologized with a fake smile on his face but was soon caught off guard when the raven haired maid was suddenly hugging him from the back wrapping her arms around his neck. "Huh, what're you-!?"

"Listen." She began as Sora was starting to listen, "I. I don't know what happened in your life and I possibly couldn't understand what you went through but, don't say it was pointless. Look at what you have done, you saved me from a life I didn't want at all, you also saved the students, the princess, and captured a criminal who would have hurt us all. You have done so much good for others that it can't be ignored." Sora couldn't reply as her hold was tightening.

"You know my grandfather used to tell me something, he said 'a person shouldn't always doubt themselves, your own doubts are like their own darkness, always blocking your views'. It's fine to worry about things whether it be big or small but don't let it take over. You need to find your way through it, and if you can't, someone will be the light that'll make sure you see it."

As Sora heard every bit of Siesta's words, the images of all his friends, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Kairi, and everyone else flooded his mind, and how they all could have nearly died during the keyblade war the first time. It was the lowest point for the young hero. His inability to save them was like a blade striking him. That kind of memory will forever be an edge.

(The keyblade graveyard)

"They're gone. Kairi, Donald... Goofy, the king... Gone forever. What do we do?" He said looking at his best friend with tears running down his face, Riku was absolutely speechless to see him like this, "Without them... I. All my strength came from them. They gave me all of it. Alone, I'm worthless. We lost. It's over..."

The young keybearer had given up all hope, the silver hair master wanted to comfort him but chose not to because his actions would prove it, not all is lost. "Sora, you don't believe that. I know you don't." Riku said as he began to walk to the heartless storm.

His memory stopped as he took Siesta's hand with a warm smile adorning his face, despite all the bad that happened that day, Riku gave him a small bit of hope from his sacrifice, the motivation to save his friends even if it cost him everything and you know what it was well worth it. "Thank you. I guess I needed to hear that, thanks Siesta." He said, now holding onto her hand.

"Your welcome." She said having a smile on her face also, her heart began to flutter a little there was always something about Sora that kept causing this feeling to swell up, is this...what love feels like. Unfortunately this kind embrace was soon cut off by the sword.

[Hey don't look now, but it looks like you guys have an audience. ] The Sword said as the two saw some people watching them namely a few female student who shot glares at the maid for getting close, this caused the two to separate with a awkward smile along with a laugh, the dark haired maid was about to say sorry for acting out of feeling but Louise soon appeared with an angry scowl on her face.

"I see you are doing your usual animal antics!" She said, grabbing him by the ear.

"Ow! What!" He replied back rubbing his ear lobe.

"Don't "what" me, you know exactly what I'm talking about! Now come on!" She yelled as she now was dragging him off by his hood, after the dance he thought they finally found some ground but it looks like it was probably a work still in progress.

Siesta looked at the two going off in the distance with a vivid looked on her face, yeah she screams and yells at Sora regularly, but there was something in her eyes they tell differently. It was almost like she was trying to get him away from her, a single question ran through the dark haired maids mind as they were out of sight 'Does Miss Vallière. Like her familiar?' That was what she thought as she was still sitting in place that would explain why he was red. Maybe he likes her back, but Siesta wasn't going to give up that easily, her heart has decided.

(The castle)

"Thank you Louise, I'm sure that the capturing of Fouquet was not easy but you succeeded, on behalf of the kingdom, I heard by grant you, Louise Françoise, the title of Chevalier." The purple haired princess said.

"You're too kind Princess Henrietta. This is truly an honor to be bestowed with this title you have given." Louise said humbly, bowing in respect.

"And I want to thank you too, Sora, For protecting her."

"It's fine." He waved it off "You asked me once before to watch over her and I did."

"Even still. Such actions should be rewarded." The princess said with her hand extended.

Sora blinked a few times as he slowly tilted his head out of confusion about what she was talking about and why her hand was out. He didn't do it with a reward in mind, all that was going on was that she was in danger

"Princess, he's from a lowly familiar. Why are you honoring him with this?" Louise said as Sora scrunched his eyebrows slightly at Louise's blunt comment after all they've been through you think she turned over a new leaf, but no. Although she isn't as bad as she was before, she can still get violent though something about has changed.

"It's all right Louise." She said calmly to her pink haired friend "I know you contributed to the capturing of Fouquet. He deserves this much." Henrietta said, still having her hand out.

"Okay...So what am I supposed to do?" Sora asked as Louise pulled into his jacket roughly.

"Her Highness is asking you to take a vow to protect me. And to do that she is letting you kiss her, you should feel honored." She snarled at the brown haired familiar as Sora's mind slowly began to process what she just said.

"Wait...WHAT?!" Sora screamed "You want to Ki-Kiss her!" He stammered all the princess he met just to thank him or he and his friends would just bow to them, they never once asked for a kiss. Sora couldn't do it, it was too embarrassing; especially after Louise kissed him on the lips and Siesta on the cheek, even Kirche kissed him before.

He wanted Kairi to be his first kiss, but c'est la vie.

Louise looked at him telling him to do it, but Sora said no she soon growled at him telling him to do it or he would just be rude to the princess Sora didn't want to be rude to her so he just gave in, but doing it freely without a care, normally that's fine with your family or the girl you like do people in this world do you just give a kiss to anybody.

"Come on. Hurry up." Louise rushed as her familiar took the princesses hand and looked eyes with her, just where was he supposed to kiss her, the lips were obviously a no so maybe... he just closed his eyes took a deep breath and gave her a small peck on her left cheek, he quickly pulled away with a small flustered look upon his face.

He glanced up at Henrietta's face, only to see her eyes wide and her mouth dropped open. It caused him to panic a bit.

"What! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Louise yelled as she flailed her arms about.

Sora panic still red "Wha-What! You said to kiss her!" What she meant was he was allowed to kiss yes but just her 'hand' what fool would do that anyway, just kiss her on her cheek?

"Heh, well the princesses I've met never really asked me to do that, normally it would just be a greeting or me and my friends bowing." He said nervously scratching that back of his head.

Henrietta cleared her throat as a healthy blush dusted her cheeks. She gave a small, yet nervous smile. "It seems you are very unfamiliar with our customs."

"Yeah, kinda."

"Please forgive me Princess Henrietta!" Louise said prostrating herself, "My stupid familiar has shamed you, I take full responsibility for this action." But the princess just shook her head and giggled, telling her childhood friend that it was alright no harm was done. Sora looked at the purple haired girl with a smile she really is a real kind person isn't she.

"You apologize too moron!" Louise yelled

"You told me to do it! You've just said to kiss her hand." Sora said back, shen then rushed to him ready to discipline him but as she was about to make contact he did a reversal and picked her up by her ankle as he did once before. "You really need to work on your anger issues."

"PUT ME DOWN!" Louise screamed, this was the second time he's done this and it was just humiliating for a familiar to do this especially in front of her highness, who simply giggled at the interaction between her friend and familiar. But getting back to what was at the topic she need to discuss, Henrietta said to Sora to let go of Louise but not before the pink haired girl gave a glare to her familiar swearing to get him back.

"So Henrietta, is there something you need us to do?" Sora asked

"Whatever it is, I promise you, I will do my utmost to see it done." Louise said all dramatic things.

"Well, I would like you to do some investigation." She said as Louise and Sora questioned what she meant by investigation. "I've been hearing rumors about a few nobles that have been oppressing the common people. Earlier I asked, they all said the same thing 'The nobility are the examples of what we plebeians hope to become'."

"So you want us to spy on the town?" Louise said she also secretly hoped that Sora would change his temper. It's frightening to see him when he's mad.

"Yes, I'm starting to believe that these rumors aren't just rumors after all. So if it's alright with the two of you, I would like you to investigate this in secret. I know it's a very difficult thing to ask, but..."

"Yes Princess! Your wish shall be granted." She approached the princess bowing in front of her. "Even though I only now received the title of Chevalier, My acquaintance and I are up to accomplish your request!" She said as she shot dagger's at Sora. "Bow, down you idiot!" Sora did what she said and bowed to the princess who gave a small grin.

"I knew I could trust you, both of you." She said that given a piece of paper, the brown haired keyblade wielder ask what it was, "These documents are proof of your noble status when words wouldn't do."

"So that's what it all mean?"

"Wait, you can read now?" Louise asked as Sora nodded

"I've also prepared funds for you use as well."

Louise kneeled "Thank you, I promise I wouldn't fail you." She soon made her way to the door, as Sora was still in place.

"Wait a minute Louise."

"What, we have an important mission!" She proclaims.

"I just need to ask the princess something." The princess had a looked on her face. What was it he wanted to ask her. "Well it's about Fouquet, did she tell you who gave her that heartless the other day?"

Henrietta shook her head "No, not yet. Right now we're currently in search of all the missing items that she had stolen, but we plan to ask the identity of her soon."

"You haven't asked yet?"

"No." There was a brief pause "But that is something we should look into soon, I've been hearing about people in my kingdom who have suddenly vanished from sight. I can't help but be cautious about this, but I can feel like there's darkness growing by the day." She looked down at the ground with a woeful look on her face.

Louise saw her childhood friend, she felt worried about her, and this heartless scourge must be dealt with soon. Sora look at her face he soon place his hand on her shoulder, he said to her that everything will be alright, no matter how much the darkness grows he vowed to protect her kingdom no matter what. She soon had a delightful smile across her face, his gentle smile and eyes set her soul at ease, but Louise however was unhappy at this how dare this idiot seduce the princess.

Without saying anything she immediately grabbed the back of his head pulling hard on his hair and dragging him out. Henrietta let a small giggle at her old friend who walk out with her familiar, it would seem that she's definitely developed a certain feeling for her familiar or maybe it was just her usual antics. Either way Louise is lucky to have someone like him by her side.

It was later that day Sora and Louise went into town but before they could, they had to do something about Louise's clothes, she stick out as they were walking by they saw shops bustling the two soon found the tailor. The two walked out with Louise wearing plain clothing with dissatisfied look at what she had on but for this mission to go as planned yet she wanted something a little more flashier as she walked down the stairs. Sora didn't get why she was hating her clothes he told her that she look great.

Louise turned away blushing slightly but acting like she doesn't care about his opinion. She was now concerning herself on what they needed.

"I can not believe this, one horse for 400 Écus, 200 Écus for just one night at that hotel!" She sighs, stomping through the street. "We just don't have enough."

"Couldn't you find a place that's cheaper?"

"Of course not! I am an aristocrat, I can't sleep in some old and run down room!" She fumed as Sora groaned at her usual complaining.

"Even if it's to accomplish the princesses mission?" He said as Louise came to an immediate halt "So, this job really is impossible for a girl of royal blood." He teased a bit.

Louise wouldn't have it she spun around and pointed at him "Fine then, I guess I'll have to find a way myself." She huffed and proceeded to walk away, Sora was a little worried about what she had planned for their money "Don't follow me!" She barked as she proceeded to walk away from her familiar.

"Why do I feel bad about this?"

(Sunset)

Sora was wondering around all over looking for Louise, he finally found her sitting on the edge of the water fountain she wore a displeasant facial expression. When he approached her he was shocked at what she had done.

"WHAT! YOU LOST IT ALL GAMBLING!?" Sora shouted sitting besides her as Louise gave a small nod.

"W-Well they said I could earn more money." She tried to find reason but was still embarrassed at her own blunder.

"Louise, do you have any experience playing cards?" She didn't even reply as the keybearer just hanged his head.

Sigh* "I see now why the princess asked me to keep an eye on you."

"Be quiet!" Louise snapped "I'm trying to think about what we should do right now?"

"Maybe the princess can get us more money?" Sora assumed

"This job was a personal request from her majesty herself, I'm sure it was difficult for her to require all we had." She said standing up crossing her arms.

"You say that, but you tried to buy a horse and you wanted us to sleep in that very expensive inn too. I don't get it, you seriously can't expect to have everything, you know that right?" Sora said also wishing he was managing the money given how he would buy weapons and accessories but he knew how to manage the money he and his friends had Louise on the other hand still had a lot to learn.

But the only thing she said was important to her and that he wouldn't understand. Sora could only raise his brow at what she just said but was soon thinking about what to do now they were both homeless and to add insult to injury, they're also broke. Maybe they could do some street performances and earn a little cash but as Sora continued to figure out a way he and Louise heard someone's voice.

"Très bien, what do we have here?" Sora and Louise looked and saw a man...Or at least he was a guy, who was wearing rather showy clothes. His arms were very hairy, along with his chest, but he was wearing very short shorts with a tank top that clung to his skin, showing off his ripped muscles.

"Gah, What?" That was all Sora could say feeling a little disturbed as was Louise.

"I see two young ones all alone, homeless and with no money, am I correct." The 'man' said.

"Ah yeah." Sora replied, still a little creeped out as Derflinger told him to be careful, it's when night falls the freaks come out.

"Well today is your lucky day. I happen to have a place for the two of you."

Sora stood up surprised to hear that. "What really!"

"Oui, down the road you two are more than likely to stay there for as long as you need." This person was actually generous offering them a place to stay even though how he talks and how he was dressed was a little weird. He didn't seem like he was that bad.

Sora, seeing him for his kindness, accepted his offer. "Thank you!" The keyblade wielder thanked

"Sora!" Louise exclaimed and was reluctant to accept the offer.

"Come on, it probably won't be bad." The keyblade wielder said to his master who gave up. She sighed with Sora giving his gratitude "Thanks again for this, my name is Sora and this is Louise." He introduced himself.

"My name is Scarron. And it's nice too meet you both." The transvestite gave his name.

"It's nice to meet you too, Scarron and-."

"Up, up let me finish." Scarron said putting his index finger up stopping the keyblade wielder. "I'll let you both stay with no charge, however there is one condition~." Scarron told them as he was now pointing at Louise, who was confused why was he pointing at her and what is that he wants?

(Charming fairies inn)

"Good evening my darling fairies!" Scarron said posing in front of a bunch of girls, who were all wearing dresses that were revealing in certain areas all in different colors.

"Yes Mr.Scarron!" The girls said.

"NOOO~!" Scarron cried, flailing his body. "I've told you girls over and over again. When in the store you are to call me Mi-Mademoiselle."

The girls soon corrected themselves "Yes, Mi-Mademoiselle!" Scarron trembled in pleasure at the mere sounds of that but it didn't seem to bother them.

"Très bien! Now then, before we get started I would like you all to meet the youngest and newest member of our fairy family. Louise darling~ You can come out now." And just like that Louise came in front of everyone wearing the same kind of clothing as everyone else only difference is that her outfit was white she was also completely red with both anger and shyness this was the arrangement in order for them to stay rent-free they both had to work for him "Everyone, this is Louise, she's a young girl that ran away from with her younger brother just as her parents were about to sell them both off to cover a large debt." Scarron made a fake background

"Oh my." One girl said

"How sad." Another one said as well soon all the girls bought the lie Scarron made.

Louise tried to put on a smile and greeted "H-Hello my-my is Louise, nice to meet you." She greeted as she also seemed to be holding back her emotions. Even though everyone welcome her she was quite mad, a noble like her doing this kind of work was a disgrace.

In the back Sora was watching Louise try and keep control of herself otherwise she would have used her magic to blow up the store "Wow, she's upset." Sora observed with a nervous smile.

"Are you serious about this?" Sora looked as saw a girl with long black hair wearing a green dress that exposed a large portion of her chest. She was panicking with another girl beside her.

"Yeah, sorry." The other girl said

"*Sigh* what are we gonna do now?" The dark haired girl said this was getting the keybearer's attention.

"Hey." He asked "Is something up? The dark haired girl answered

"Our cook just quit, meaning we're down a chef for a while." The long haired girl said, having her hands on her hips, wondering what to do when Sora spoke up with an idea in mind.

"Why don't I cook?" He said as the two girls were a little bit surprised.

"You cook?"

"Yeah. I help out at my friend's bistro all the time, so I know a few recipes." He said putting himself in his usual pose. The long haired girl was a little reluctant but decided to let him be the chef.

"And with that, the problem is solved. Now I'm going to get to work." The other girl told them as she walked away leaving the two by themselves.

"Thanks again."

"Don't mention it, just helping a friend is really all it is." Sora said

That surprised the dark haired girl. "Really we're friends." She said as the keyblade wielder told her so, she couldn't help but whisper a small noise "I guess she was right about you being friendly." The long dark haired girl said which made Sora confused, who was she talking about. "Nevermind, I'm Jessica. And you are?" The girl named Jessica introduced herself.

"Sora." He greeted me with a kind smile.

"Sora? That's a funny name." She said to the brown haired teen puffed his cheek, his name isn't that weird is it?

"I know it sounds weird, but it's not. It means 'sky' where I'm from." He defended his name as Jessica smiled back.

"Alright then, Sora, feel free to ask me anything you want." She replied to the keyblade wielder who had a happy look on his face. Just a certain pink haired mage could see the two of them getting along quite well, although see was comically glaring at him first the maid, then the princess now this, this was just frustrating.

Scarron clapped "Alright, then it's time to get to business!" He said to his fairies except Louise who all replied.

"Yes! Mi-Mademoiselle!"

The tavern was bustling with people, Sora was whipping up dishes left and right and each looking delicious, Jessica watched him cook and she was rightly impressed when he said he could cook. As for Louise she was waiting and serving tables as best as she could but the customers kept commenting on her breasts calling her flat which only resulted in her pouring alcohol on their heads or violently attacking them not letting her noble pride be ruined.

Sora and Scarron rushed from what they were doing to calm down the fiery mage, both apologize for this Sora saying that his 'sister' is very prideful, he even bowed his head whereas the man in charge of the store asked the two to get back to work and to let him deal with this, his people skills were good.

The restaurant was closed and Sora and his master were currently in their room... Well really it was just the attic and that only added more fuel to Louise's temper.

"I can't believe this! Me a mage and daughter of the aristocrat having to-I!" Sora patted her shoulders to calm her down.

"Hey, hey, calm down, it's not so bad." Sora assured me.

"Not so bad?!" Louise exclaimed "Look at this place, it is nothing but a used shack!"

"I know it's not what you're used to but it's good, we got food, a place to sleep, and a way for us to make money. It's like killing three heartless with one keyblade so we have to keep it up." He replied with his usual attitude but for Louise she could only groan.

"Doesn't anything bother you?" Louise asked.

"It's called positive thinking you should try it sometime."

"Oh yeah, I bet you were really thinking about how much time you get to work with that girl." She growled slowly which made Sora tilt his head as she was talking about Jessica, what does she have to do with this "Forget it. But really you don't expect a duke's daughter to sleep here do you."

"I won't stop you from doing anything, whatever you decide it's your choice but I'm completely exhausted after today so I'm going to bed." Sora replied, getting ready to lay down.

"I don't get it, how do you adapt so easily?" She asked

But Sora only shrugged "I don't know, s'posed it just normal." Louise questions what he means. "Well I can be a fast learner sometimes, and when you're always traveling like me you pick up a few things and besides, it's not that different from my life here." That was all he said as he quickly fell asleep Louise knew that once he fell asleep it was pointless to try anything, she got under the covers only to not fall asleep she could only watch Sora slumbering without a care.

'*Sigh* I'm wearing something so degenerative and you're not even a little…' Her moment was soon interpreted when she heard the sound of squeaking, she found a group of bats that were hanging from the ceiling and without warning they swarmed all over her causing Louise to fall out of her bed. Not wanting to have some bats attacking her again she crawled to familiar and was lying next to him with a bright red expression.

This is so embarrassing she thought but at the same time she felt calm and relieved. He had this warmth that reminded her of her older sister but it was different.

(Second day)

"H-Here is your o-order." Louise uttered dropping the place of food on the customer's who angrily shouted at her; this only made her retaliate with her knocking him down, she wouldn't take being yelled at by a commoner her pride won't be mocked but Scarron came and put a stop to her temper asking her to serve another table as he apologized to the customer saying that she is new and doesn't know how this works.

Soon Louise was at another table with a slightly overweight customer who had a pervert smile on his face, he said to the pink-haired girl in white who was creeped out by this by saying that she is his type especially in the chest area, that comment was met with a hard and strong slap across the face. Scarron rushed to deescalate the situation but not before scolding Louise for this.

Meanwhile Sora was watching Louise getting lectured by the store owner. "Wow. Scarron is good at dealing with people." Sora comment taking a plate out of the oven

"Well, that's just how my papa is." Jessica said.

"Oh really." Sora soon realized what she said just now "What, papa?! You mean..."

"Yeah I'm his daughter." She told the keyblade wielder looked shell shocked at this revelation Jessica is Scarron's daughter?! "Haha-I bet you're thinking 'how can someone like me be related to someone like him' right?" She said with a little teasing manner. Sora told the showy-looking girl that wasn't it. He was just surprised by the fact that he was a father. "Yeah well after my mom died he said to me 'Jessica I'll always be there, both as your father and mother."

"I didn't know, sorry."

She shook it off "It's okay. I know he can be a little weird some days but he is a good father." She happily said as Sora soon started to think about his own parents how they must be worried sick but he turned to the long haired girl who was preparing plates. She was happy to have one parent and even if the other one wasn't there they were still with you in your heart.

"Well I can say that you have a very good dad. Slash mom." He told Jessica as she thanked him, and the two soon began to laugh together, as for Louise she saw the two of them laughing together she didn't know why but something about this infuriated her.

"Do you have to get so chummy with everyone you meet!?" She grabbed a bottle from an empty table. Sora saw something out of the corner of his eye he turned around and saw a bottle being hurdles towards him he quickly evaded as it flew past Jessica, finally crashing into a few boxes making a loud noise. Sora facepalm, Jessica casually grabbed a broom and dustpan while Scarron was apologizing for the noise, meanwhile Louise turned red for her foolishness why did she do that?

Louise was upstairs sitting on the bed completely down, she made a fool out of her again. Her depression continued as Sora came upstairs.

"Hey." He greeted her.

"Go away." She said she didn't want to see him.

"Come on don't be that, I brought you something to eat."

She still refuses "I said leave me, and I don't want any food from the common-." She stopped her ranting and took a few whiff "That smell, what is it?" She wondered as Sora was now up stairs completely with a plate in his hand.

"I made some Sole meunière, they had all the ingredients I needed." He said presenting the plate of fish to his master she took one bite and she was instantaneously amazed by how well it tasted.

"Th-This is-?!" Louise stopped her sentence and took another bite, her familiar was an amazing chef as well just what can't he do. Sora looked happy, smiling brightly, seeing her enjoy his food plus he was wanting her to cheer up for what happened today, although why did she throw a bottle?

"You like it?" Sora asked.

"It-It's delectable." Louise replied trying to hide back the fact she actually is enjoying it. He said to her, he wanted her to feel better so soon he decided to whip up something for her. He didn't know her favorite dish but it was the idea that counts right. Louise was surprised when he said that he made it for her, even after throwing a bottle at him, he still treats her nicely, does he not know how to hold a grudge or hate a person?

"Well, I'm gonna head back downstairs to help clean. Be back in a sec." He said as he left Louise with her plate. She stopped and saw him leave before turning back to her meal. He is always so kind to everyone including her despite how she treats him. Maybe just once she can do something for him but what, wait a minute why was she thinking about that?

As for Sora he made it downstairs as saw Jessica holding her hand. "Hey Jessica, you alright?" Sora asked

"Yeah, just nicked my hand a little bit after cleaning up the glass that your sister broke." She replied showing the small cut on her hand she said that she was going to clean it up but Sora looked at it wasn't really that bad just a small cure would do the trick.

"Here let me, Cure." He casted his healing spell to close the injury but for some reason it didn't. Now that was weird it should be close so why. Jessica soon smirked as Sora lowered his hand.

"So you really can do magic." She confirmed as she grabbed a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped it off when really it was just sauce that was on her hand.

Sora was tricked and what was even worse he forgot he was supposed to be undercover. "What me using magic-no, uh…you see.

He was panicking trying to think of an excuse, to try and explain what just happened but she only laughed at the face he was making. "Relax, I knew who you were alright. Sie-Sie talks about you all the time, but I had to see for myself." Jessica replied to the boy who calmed down tad. But he was surprised she already knew him and who is this 'Sie-Sie'.

"Sie-Sie?"

(Jessica's room)

"Siesta's your cousin!?" Sora sitting on her bed was shocked by this revelation. But getting a better look at her the two actually look alike.

"Yeah." Jessica agreed also sitting "She comes by every so often, and lately when she does, you're the first person she talks about."

"Really?" He wondered what she said to her cousin about him. "Well, what did she say about me?"

Jessica began "That you're the most selfless person she's ever known, you have a smile that brightens up a whole room, and honestly how care for the well-being of everyone around you. You practically are the most kind human out there in the world." Jessica finished. Sora was a little bit surprised that she would say all that, actually he was slightly flustered scratching his head nervously as the long haired girl laughed a little "But man, I thought Louise was the only magic user here guess not."

Sora stiffen "What?"

"She's a noble isn't she?" Jessica guessed as Sora denied saying that there is no way a girl like her is upper class, but Jessica could see it written on his face as she began to list all the possibilities of why Louise is a noble. "You don't have to play dumb. She doesn't know how to carry a plate properly, she's got a lot of pride, and that high handedness she's got, of course she has to be an aristocrat."

"That obvious?" Sora said as Jessica nodded.

"Also, anyone can tell you guys aren't brother and sister. But don't look like you're dating either, so are you her servant or what?" She was so smart it's scary. Sora couldn't believe she figured all that out knowing he couldn't figure out how to get out of this since she was right about everything he started to explain.

"No, I'm not her servant. I'm actually her familiar." Jessica was stunned, a human familiar. How is that possible? "And we're also on a mission."

"Oh~ is it dangerous, come on tell me! She asked in excitement.

"Sorry I can't." Sora said "Listen, you can't tell anyone about me and Louise, please you can't." The keyblade wielder pleaded, hopefully agreeing to his request.

"Alright." She said leaving Sora a little bit surprised "I'll keep your secret, after all that's what friends are for right."

Sora said in glee "Thank you."

"But."

"But what?" Sora asked as she moved closer to him with a meaningful smile with a gentle look in her eyes, next thing he knew she pounced on to him, pinning him down from his shoulder

"There's something I want-from-you." She is leaned down pressing her body against his and whispered in his ear blowing in before staring at him with a gentle look in her eye . Although Sora wasn't sure what she wanted, he wasn't gonna like it.

"What do you want!?" He said in a shaky voice. Jessica hovered over him as she smile hoping he would say yes to her request.

Scarron clapped, getting the girl's attention. "Alright everyone, it's time to announce that this week's tip race is here."

"Yes, Mi-Mademoiselle!" The girls said in enthusiasm clapping and cheering ran throughout the store, as for Louise she was only confused.

"Tip race?" She said as Scarron continued his speech in an absorbed manner.

"Yes, the competition to see who earns the most tips by the end of the week. The winner will receive a bonus and not only that...They also had a chance to wear this." Scarron unveiled a pure black bustier "The very pride of the charming fairies inn, the enchanted fairy bustier." The girls look at it with a dreamy expression but Louise look a little intrigued about what was so special about it. Scarron continued his speech while posing "This outfit is a family heirloom, not only that but it has a spell on it to charm people. So on the day you wear this bustier, you can make money with no limits."

"Make money with no limits!" Louise gasps.

"The last person who wore this was about to make enough to afford a trip back to her home, So everyone work hard for the chance to win this bustier." Scarron finished

"Yes, we will, Mi-Mademoiselle!"

"Très bien~. Alright time to get to work, you too Louise."

"Right!" Louise said in confidence that if she could win that she would have to worry about money "This is my chance!" Determined to win with her fist in the air.

(One week later)

"*Sigh*" Louise was sulking "Today's the last day for this race, and so far I haven't made anything." She was right this whole week. She tried her best but couldn't handle it. She is a mage and she was forced to serve ordinary people, not to mention how everyone kept calling her 'small', and 'flat' non-stop are boobs all these people cared about. As the girls continued to earn tips the door opened; who entered was an overweight middle-aged man with a cat-fish like mustache, more than likely he seems to be a noble. The air went silent as Scarron rushed to his side.

"My, Lord Turenne. W-Welcome to the fairy inn." He greeted although slightly there was tremble in his voice.

The noble name Turenne smirks "Well now Scarron, I see this place is doing quite well today."

Scarron shook his head "No, no, no, we're just having one of those busy days is all. Usually the place is so dead even crickets don't make noises."

"Right now, I'm here as a customer. I don't need your excuses."

Scarron continued in a sorry manner. "Pardon me, but as you can see we're currently over capacity so we don't have a seat for you."

"Oh, really. Because from where I'm standing there is plenty of room." Turenne exaggerated as he snapped his fingers, the nobles behind him raised their wands. The customers all bolted out the door in fear, the store was now empty and the fat noble took a seat at an empty table laughing heartily "I see you were right when you said this place is always dead. Now then, who will serve her majesty's tax collector?"

Sora looked at the man with a glare as was Jessica. "Who is this guy?" Sora asked as Jessica answered

"That's Turenne, the tax collector who's in charge of the area. Anyone who is crazy enough to stand against or disobey him will get taxed heavily, so we have no choice but to listen to him." She said angrily Turenne shouted for someone to serve him wine "He touches us all he wants and doesn't even tip. Honestly, no one will serve him."

What is with everyone in this world, this abuse of power they have it just doesn't seem fair in the least, and they like to treat everyone else their bottom of the barrel, just because you can do something not that many people can do, it doesn't give you the right to treat them however you want. Sora was about to give him a piece of his mind until he saw Louise carrying a bottle of wine to him.

"Louise!" Jessica shouted, and Sora couldn't believe it, oh this is gonna go south fast.

Louise approached the tax collector, who was confused as he never saw this girl before "Who are you?" Suspicious he was.

Louise didn't reply as poured him his drink with a face smile "Have a n-nice day." She said although he didn't seem interested in Louise.

"Wow, this store must be really in trouble if they're using children." Louise's eyes twitched from that comment "Go away, I don't want a child in my presence." He said as Louise was trying hard to keep up the act her face was twitching and she was holding onto her uniform tightly, Sora hoped she would just walk away from him.

"Just walk away Louise. Just walk away."

"Oh, now I see you're not some kid, just a girl with small breasts." Turenne observed with a perverted look on his face. Louise started to shake in disgust as his hand slowly reached out to her "Let me see if they're bigger than they look." That was the last straw, at that moment... His face met the bottom of Louise's shoe. Everyone was scared straight at what she had done as Turenne toppled over.

"Why you, you little!" The tax collector angrily shouted as he flipped the table.

"Wait!" Scarron came to try to reason with him "Please forgive her, she's still new here." Unfortunately his plea went from one in and out the other.

"To kick a noble in the face...How dare you!" He forcefully grabbed onto Louise's shoulders ready to reprimand her but just before anything could happen Sora came out of nowhere and grabbed the fat nobleman wrist off of Louise.

"That's enough." Sora said as he shot a glare

"Unhand at once boy, do you know who I am!" Turenne shouted

"Yeah. A big bully who likes to pick on everyone around him. And another thing, she brought you a drink and all you want to do is complain." Sora told the overweight man who got even madder "And you should know, as long as I'm around, I won't let anyone lay so much as one finger on her!" That took Louise breath away the way this scene looked to be something out of a novel where the protagonist stands up to an evil noble who was ready to punish the girl he loved, wait where was her mind going.

Jessica saw with a grin on her face, not to mention the light in his eyes. Siesta was right about him brave and always standing up for others if only there were more people like him, meanwhile Turenne wasn't even a little intimidated by him,

"Ha, what can you do exactly, you're just a plebeian." He laughed at Sora as Turenne took his other hand off of Louise and pointed his other finger at him still laughing but Sora only said this to him.

"Well, check this out." He twisted his body while still holding onto the nobleman's arm and in one swift motion, threw him across the restaurant like it was nothing. Scarron witnessed what happened as he shook to the ground in fear and not from Sora more so it was the fact that he is going out of business for this. As for Turenne he soon recovered his look and turned to fear, just, how does a child have this much strength!

"Wha- monster. You're a monster!" He screamed.

"Now that's plain rude." Sora commented with a dead expression as well as crossing his arms.

"What are you waiting for!" Turenne ordered his men "Arrest these two, I want them both hanged!" He shouted as his men surrounded Sora who had his back at Louise in a protective manner but as they took another step.

"Blizzard." One of Turenne men was encased in ice. "Hey. This is pretty cool!" Jessica joked as her hand was out "Now how about this. Water." She summoned a ball of water, sending it directly at mages sending them back, everyone in the store, except for Sora, was speechless at what they were witnessing, Jessica... Was using magic. "Hey Sora, how's that!" She said the spikey haired brunette.

"You're definitely cousins alright." Sora commented as Louise was confused. She thought Siesta and Sora were the only non-nobles in this world who are able to use magic...?

"Sora what's going on?" Louise asked.

"I'll explain, but for right now..." Sora said, summoning his Grand Chef keyblade, getting into a fighting position "... We're gonna rumble!"

The moment he said that the runes on his hand activated.

Turenne and his men couldn't believe their eyes, a girl using ice and water magic, and a boy who summoned a sword out of thin air. The only thing that came to mind was that they were nobles but why? Nevermind that he still had a vendetta to settle. As the rest of this soldiers drew their sword and wands Sora and Jessica were standing together side-by-side ready to face them, the ones with sword came charging at Sora who countered by blocking each strike with his own, just now he quickly did a upward slash following with a horizontal slash; Two diagonal spinning slashes came soon after that finally to end his combo he did a horizontal lash following with a slight vertical cut ending with a overhead downward slash.

Jessica and the mages were in their own battle casting spells left and right while Sora was dealing with the swordsmen. Everyone outsider the fairy inn was curious as to what is going on inside, but inside the building the fighting was seaming to die down a little Jessica shot a fire ball at two of Turenne men sending them back as Sora dash forward doing a flipping slash sending them tumbling backwards to the fat nobleman everyone was speechless they were winning. "So, do you give up?" Sora teased pointing his shooting slasher at him as electricity surged through Jessica's arms. His men asked in fear.

"S-Sir, what are we going to do?" One soldier said

"These two are powerful!" Another exclaimed but Turenne was not in the mood for excuses.

"They're just children, and even if they can use magic they must be fallen nobles!" Turenne shouted

"Actually. We're an exception to that kind of rule." Jessica corrected "To tell the truth we are just your run of the mill plebeians, but we know how to use magic." Now that had him flabbergasted non-nobles who can wield magic, that's unheard of, no it had to have been a lie. There is no way simple commoners can be mages.

"D-Don't take me for a fool, a couple of plebeians can use magic!" He barked at the two "I swear, I will have this place shut down and all you dead. Namely this brat and that washboard girl!" Suddenly an explosion came out of nowhere sending Turenne and his men back, Sora opened his eyes and saw Louise standing in front of them with her wand pointing at the tax collector.

"Washboard. That's a little much, don't you think." She said in a calm yet angry tone in her voice "I went out of my way to serve and give me attitude, why must I be subjugated to such harsh words."

"Where were you keeping that?" Sora questioned.

"I could ask where you store your keyblades, but unlike you it didn't appear in my hand." Louise replied raising her leg "I kept it strapped to my thigh if we ever ran into trouble." Turenne couldn't believe it three, there are three nobles in present "Now then, if you value your life, you will leave immediately never show your face again."

"Please you all are ruined aristocrats. Who do you take me for!"

Sora spoke up "We told you, me and her we aren't nobles." The keyblade wielder smirked knowing how this might play out "Louise on the other hand, is one." He told him as his master reached into her back pocket; revealing the documents that were printed by her Highness. Turenne, now trembling, bowing his whale sized body in front of Louise.

"...Who do you think you're calling a ruined mage?" All three watched him shake in fear

Turenne rummaged through his pocket pulling out his wallet; the other nobles did the same as him as he begged to forget about this "W-Wait take this and let's all forget the whole thing, please... I beg of you!"

Not caring about the money Louise said too them was to forget the event that happened here today, because next time she won't let him off so easily. Sora and Jessica followed up saying to never come back here again, otherwise Louise wouldn't be the only one dealing out punishment. Jessica with a large fireball in her palm and Sora with his sword over his shoulder glaring at him with rage in his eyes. Like a scared cat Turenne agreed to their condition and quickly be and his men bolted out the door with lightning speed.

Louise's sense of reason returned to her as the sound of applause was happening. "Way to go Louise!"

"You sure showed that pervert!"

"You're amazing!" Louise was getting showered by compliments as Sora gave her a light pat on the back.

"You did great Louise. Be proud of yourself." She turned her face to the side muttering a small 'thank you' but not before putting her familiar in a choke hold.

"Did you tell her you're an idiot!" She yelled at Sora squeezing the life out of him.

"Wait, listen... Jessica already knew who we were!" He said but the pinked haired girl called him out for lying to her.

"Actually, he's telling the truth. I already knew about you two beforehand." The dark haired girl said, having her hands on her hips.

Louise was surprised how she knew "But how did..." She said letting go of Sora who answered her question

"She's Siesta's cousin. That's how she knows about us." The aristocrat was taken back by this revelation, they're related. Louise gazed at her and thought about the physical features that Siesta had the two of them do look similar to one another

"She said she would keep our secret, in exchange she wanted me to teach her magic."

"You knew too, didn't you, Scarron. About us?"

The store owner nodded "Yes, I knew about you two the second I saw you."

Louise didn't understand if he knew then why he would help them out. "Then why...?"

"Listen I make it a rule to always help those in need, plus here, we never ask a person's background here. So as far as it matters we heard nothing and saw nothing, right ladies."

"Right. We didn't hear or see anything!" They said together. Louise couldn't believe it. They know who she is now and they're choosing to accept her why? Sora said that it's just how it is: you earn people's trust and they accept you no matter what, that's what making friends is about and right now she has made plenty of friends today.

'I...Made friends?'

"That's not all she's made." Jessica pointed out with all the bags of money "Look at all these tips. I think we know who's number one."

"But they all left that here?"

"They left it behind, so it's a tip." Jessica said, turning to her father. "Right, papa?

"Oui." The owner agreed before announcing Louise as the winner of this week's tip race everyone clapped for her achievement.

(The attic)

"Well I'm happy we were able to help. Too bad we have to leave though." Sora whined as he walked up the stairs after the whole mess that happened down stairs Sora stayed behind to clean up after the fight he had with that noble earlier. After he finished he went upstairs to see if Louise had gotten everything ready Sora knocked on the door and announced that he was coming in, but Louise said not to come in yet actually she more than likely ordered it.

'What's she doing?' He wondered as Louise called out to him saying he can come in now.

Sora opened the door and he was surprised at what he saw. He witnessed a small table with exquisite entrees present in front of him but what really surprised him was what she was wearing. It was the fairy bustier.

"What is all this?" He asked

Louise fidget a bit "I wanted to say thanks, so I made supper?"

"You cooked?" Sora said as he was taken back.

"I asked Jessica for help. Anyone come sit down before it gets cold." She said to Sora as he pulled out the chair and sat in front of the food she prepared, he asked her what it was and told him the she made a quiche. Soon he took his fork and cut apart a small piece and ate it. The taste was great.

"W-Well…How is it?" She said unsure if it turned out alright.

"It's…good. Really good." He replied.

She was a bit ecstatic "Really!?"

"Yeah it's great." He told her again as she smiled, Louise wasn't sure if it was alright. "Oh, and by the way, why exactly are you wearing that?"

Sora questioned why she would wear that outfit, "Well it's only for a day, so I thought I would make some use out of it." She replied, wrapping her finger through her hair and twisting it, "So what do you think?"

Sora looked at her and the face she was making he didn't know why but it was great on her. But all he did was scratch his face and told her that it looked alright, as he turned his head to the side trying to hide his blushing face. Yet for some reason Louise took it personally she yelled at him saying that he would think differently if someone else was wearing this.

"What? No! What do you take me-" Sora stopped his speech when suddenly an image of Kairi appeared in his mind wearing the black fairy dress with a delightful smile. Sora was lost in his own world; blushing profusely as well with his face blank from any emotions. Louise got off her chair and called him out saying he was thinking about someone, he soon snapped back to reality with his face heated up saying that he wasn't thinking about anybody although why was he thinking about Kairi wearing that.

Night fell and Fouquet was sitting in the corner of her prison cell. She couldn't believe it, the staff of destruction was right in her hands and she lost it to that boy. She was the most renowned criminal and she was defeated by a child and to make matters worse the staff of destruction was gone too. 'I swear. He will pay!' As she was thinking about how to get her revenge a familiar black portal appeared and who stepped through it was the last person she wanted to meet.

"Now stop me if you heard this one before: there were two people, one in jail, the other outside of their cell; one said to the other..."

"Are you just here to mock me Xigbar?" Fouquet growled

"You call that a punch-line!"

"I'm not in the mood for humor."

Underneath his hood Xigbar regains his dark smile before continuing "No I guess not. But I did warn ya about underestimating the kid, now look at you." He continued to poke fun "You. Lost. Big time." He finished with a laugh much to her annoyance already.

"What do you want?" The green-haired woman barked.

"It's not me who wants something from you... it's him." He pointed to the dark corridor as a mysterious figure came out of it as he opened the once locked cell.

"Who are you? What business do you have this late?" She asked about being on guard.

The mysterious figure could only say this "I'm here to pick up our valuable comrades. Fouquet of the crumbling dirt. Or rather... Matilda of Sachsen-Gotha." Fouquet started to sweat. Only one person knew that name.

"Are you..." Xigbar's grin grew darker; knowing now that the strings of fate were being pulled. The question is: will it continue as it should be, or will a misstep happen throwing everything off course.

End.
