Quirks Not Required 22

All For One nor had Sensei requested Daiten for anything. So, Daiten did what he had always wanted to do, head home and generally spend time with his son.

Neji came by and picked him up, and with a generous tip…well more so than usual, the chauffeur helped Daiten to his flat. "Was the operation a success?"

Daiten paused "I…"

Neji snorted "Kato, please, we've been friends for a while now. I've been picking you up for slightly longer. So please, I've got an insight into how you operate."

Daiten nodded and he stood up "It worked. It's worked very well."

Neji grinned "I thought so. It was very much your fate to overcome the problems and obstructions that stand in your path."

Daiten smiled a tooth-filled smile "You've got me."

"What are you planning to do?"

"Oh you know, sow some seeds of my own, help the Heroic students become heroes. Maybe even become a villain to takedown Endeavour."

Neji nodded "I'll see you around, Kato. If you become a villain, you're doing it for the right reasons. I'll visit you in Tartarus."

Daiten couldn't help but grin at that "Neji, the four of us should get a meal together."

Neji nodded "I'll let you know when Tenten and I are free. That does mean I'm going to hire a babysitter."

"Or bring the baby here and I'll cook."

Neji nodded "That sounds good. You've boasted that you can make sushi to make our mouths organ…we'll take you up on that."

Daiten nodded and Neji made his departure. His mother and father were babysitting Kazuki. Asuma looked up "Kato! You're back early, everything okay?"

Daiten nodded "Everything's good. Father, I need to talk to you."

Asuma nodded and he followed his son into the kitchen "What happened?"

"I had to break Heat Viper out of Great Britain to demonstrate my quirks potency." Asuma turned pale.

"You broke the Viper OUT of prison?" Asuma hissed.

Daiten nodded, looking extraordinarily pale "It was to ensure my loyalty."

Asuma nodded "I understand. I've been investigating around and I've found some people of interest for you."

Daiten cocked his head "Of interest to me? Is this for my Project Patch or The Other One?"

"Project Patch, which I still don't understand."

Daiten snorted "Alright, I'll explain, imagine yourself as weak weedy and wracked with disease kid with either no quirk or a weak one. Then they put a patch on and suddenly they can rip a lamppost from the ground, then who's laughing."

Asuma snorted "So that's the plan…give the Quirkless temporary quirks."

Daiten sighed and pulled out two beers "No…Father…" he paused to open his can "My desire is not to give them temporary quirks, some of the things I've seen and participated in…I believe, I really believe that I can give or stimulate latent or recessive quirks in the genome. It happened to me…"

Asuma's hand tightened around his unopened can. Here he was chatting with his son about stuff that was well above his head. It sounded like something out of hold sci-fi. "Son, just because you can do something have you considered that you should do it?"

Daiten paused "I reversed paraplegia…I can theoretically reversed quadriplegia. Are you asking me not to do so, even though, I can do so?"

Asuma destroyed his unopened can "Do not try to play a fool with me. Yes, I'm not as intelligent or as smart as you; however, do you think you can outsmart heroes? Your lover? Think you can outsmart Eraserhead or even Nighteye."

Asuma smirked as his son's facade cracked "I know. Oh, I know how you don't like him."

"I don't dislike him. I dislike how he believes that his quirk allows him to bullshit, bully, and be so belligerent to those he deems inferior…and that's a lot of people. I really, really, fucking hate him for the moment I've been discovered lying in the fucking gutter he decides that's the perfect time to interrogate me. So father, I don't think I can outplay Nighteye…I'm certain that I can. As for Eraserhead…no chance. Mainly because he's Kazuki's Godfather."

Asuma's eyes narrowed "Just…what are you planning?"

Daiten snorted "Far too much. Do you want my long-term or short-term goals?"

Asuma paused, he was already involved in Villainous activity. Although, all he was doing was finding the members of the Quirkless population and offering them a chance to be part of a unique study. "I'm going to need something to give to the participants…"

"Leave that too me."

(Inko)

Inko's fingers danced across the keyboard as she filled in form after form.

She smiled to herself, it was about damn time. Now that her Izuku had his own Quirk, the quality of her life had drastically increased; it did however rankle her that her own progression in the firm had been stymied due to her lack of standing with a weak quirk herself and a child with no quirk of his own.

Now she was dealing with so many cases, and files, there was now a legitimate reason for her not to be seen during the day. There was a knock on the door, and with flick of her hand, it opened.

Shouta smirked beneath his scarf as he walked into his senpai's office "I bring tribute…"

"Of?"

"Sushi and Ramen with Strawberry Mochi and Coconut Water."

Inko grinned momentarily as she spotted a bottle "What's that?"

"Sake…you're going to need it."

Inko turned "What's going on?"

Aizawa sagged into a chair "Someone, walked into the Tower and broke out the Viper and then they annihilated Captain Britain and the Detachment of Armed Security."

Inko's eyes widened "My husband or ex-husband has been released! Where are they? How did they get away? Did they even get away?"

Aizawa paled "I don't know. All I know is during the confusion, the Breaker got into a dispute with someone but then they were pulled through fog or mist."

Inko's eyes widened "I've just been handed that case. That was linked to the USJ attack…the purple smoke man, the Nomu and whoever else."

Aizawa nodded "I need you to reach out to someone for me. Tell me senpai, have you ever been part of a flip?"

"As in…turn a villain into a hero or at least an informant? No, no I haven't."

Aizawa smirked "Well…I have someone that, provided, with a decent incentive; could be turned into an informant for us. His name is Kato Daiten."

Inko's eyes narrowed "You had better have really good evidence or enough circumstantial evidence to even justify me, using the company resources to even think about taking on his lawyers. His lawyers are ruthless to an extreme."

"Here's the thing…I'm not after him for his contributions to science and medicine. I'm after him because there are numerous shady and illegal operations occuring with him at the center of it all. There are at least five counts of murder and twenty-six manslaughter charges that can be levelled at him. Inko, you've not met him…he knows that I'm investigating him and as long as I as he calls it 'staying within regulations of criminal investigations' then he's got no issues with me. I wouldn't put Sir Nighteye or his Agency anywhere near him. Tsukauchi and I have had to physically intervene with their interviews meaning…"

"Nighteye's case against him can go from rock solid to incredibly shaky within seconds of Kato being put on the stand. All Kato has to do is say few phrases and Nighteye can be ruined. Although, Nighteye is targeting him from another angle entirely."

Inko grabbed the sake bottle from Aizawa before swigging from the bottle directly "Right. Take a seat, well have to eat and talk."

The Erasure Hero nodded "Your boy's improving, considerably, same with another pupil of mine."
