Preface
New York City. Mid December 1982. Three paranormal professors at Columbia lose their grants due to the board of trustees's lack of faith in their research. However, they recently came across an old librarian ghost floating around in the New York City Public Library on Fifth Avenue. It was their first time all three had seen a specter in person. Seeing an opportunity, Dr. Peter Venkman employed his persuasive skills to convince his friends, Dr. Egon Spengler and Dr. Raymond Stantz, to open a supernatural elimination company in Manhattan, called the Ghostbusters.
Each scientist had their own specialty: Spengler- the theoretical physicist who made the gadgets, Stantz- the engineer who assisted and Venkman, a charming yet sardonic psychologist, who was not totally a believer in the paranormal. All three acknowledged the gigantic risks they were taking yet felt empowered in their actions.
All they needed now was the right secretary to answer the phones, schedule appointments and complete basic accounting. Who would accept the challenge of working with three highly eccentric scientists?
