A/N: Yes, it is finally here. Or it's already here...? Anyway the results are in (more at the end of this chapter because spoilers...)

I do apologise for the chapter title. I came up with it, thought it was too much and then people said 'do it' and so I did... I just hope it's not against any TOS...

Harry looked over at Ginny. "Aren't you going to eat anything?" he asked.

She shook her head. "I can't. I am stressed."

He nodded and turned back to the pan and still prepared her a plate. He sat down beside her. "I am stressed too." He pushed her plate towards her and watched as her face broke out in a smile.

She looked at him wearing a touched smile. "My egg has a face."

"Yes, and it will be quite sad if you don't eat," he tried.

She took up the fork and took a small bite. "There."

"Good. Baby Nugget will be all the happier for it," he said.

"So is that the working title for the baby? We keep calling them 'nugget' but I don't know why?" Ginny asked, taking another bite.

He started on his breakfast too. "I think it's cute. I also don't know why we started that. That was half our relationship ago."

Ginny inhaled sharply. "That can't be right?" she said with a frown.

He shrugged. "Give or take a few days." He only managed to distract her that long but at least she continued with her breakfast.

She took her phone and put the sound on maximum. "This may be the most important phone call in my life. I don't want to miss that one."

"We're probably still a few hours off the call, though," he told her, though he was equally anxious.

She nodded and reached out to him, squeezing his knee. "I know but... I am not taking my chances. Not today."

Both of them were not quite focused as they studied. Yet they refused to give up on it because it was the only thing distracting them a little from the upcoming phone call. The day dragged on and they settled back on Ginny's bed after lunch, trying to revise.

"What do you have on chapter five? I feel like there's a gap here," Harry asked.

"Nothing." Ginny shook her head. "I compared all our notes up to chapter ten, if it's not in, then he probably didn't address it." She looked through her papers and handed him her notes. "Knock yourself out, though."

"Shouldn't he have mentioned it if he skipped chapter five?" Harry took the papers from her and leafed through them.

Ginny's phone rang at last. Both their eyes met as their heads shot up. Nervously, she grabbed her phone to answer the call. Harry dropped the notes beside him.

"Hello?" Ginny asked, her heart pounding.

"Am I speaking with Miss Weasley?" a woman asked on the other side.

"Yes, this is Ginny Weasley," she confirmed, putting her phone on speakerphone so Harry could listen along. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her heart.

"We are calling for the results of the NIPP and NIPT test. Are you available to go through them now? We will send you a copy through email later," the lady informed her.

"Yes, that's fine," Ginny said, wishing the lady would move on quickly.

"There were no abnormalities found," she told Ginny.

While Ginny was relieved to hear it, she did not really listen as the lady listed all the things for which they had tested. Her free hand absent-mindedly ran across her stomach. Harry sat beside her silently, listening intently.

"Do you want to know the sex of the baby?" the lady asked.

Ginny had been so focused on the paternity test; she had forgotten they were also finding that out today. "Yes, please."

"Congratulations, you are expecting a girl…"

Ginny smiled at Harry. They hadn't really talked about it because it didn't matter and there were more pressing matters to discuss, but she was happy to find out it was a girl.

"As for the paternity test…" the lady went on.

Ginny felt a sudden wave of nausea she tried to ignore, and she almost didn't dare to look at Harry for fear she would have to witness his disappointment but she locked eyes with him regardless.

"The results showed with certainty that Mr Potter is the father."

Her nausea made way for relief. Harry's eyes filled with joy at once, his face breaking out in a smile as he breathed out. Ginny was glad she had been looking at him because it had been worth it to see the happy and relieved emotions slip over Harry's face. It felt like finally something had gone right, and now they could start planning, just the two of them, for their baby.

The lady asked if she had any more questions, but she just thanked the lady and wrapped up the call quickly as Harry pulled her onto his lap. She threw her phone down and adjusted her position so she could face him. His arms wrapped around her, wrapping her in a tight hug. She hugged him back with equal force.

She leaned away after a moment to meet his eyes again. "We are having a baby," she said. She quickly kissed him, barely containing her emotions.

Tears started to spill from his eyes. He had to take his glasses off to prevent the tears from staining them. "Yeah," he said happily. His hand wiped at his tears but there really was no point.

This was the first time since they found out she was pregnant that she felt genuinely happy about it without reservations. Ginny felt her eyes brimming with tears while simultaneously feeling the urge to laugh. She led Harry's hand to her stomach again, placing his palm flat against it and then covered it with her own hand. "That's your daughter in there."

He breathed out intensely like he could hardly believe it. "Holy crap," he croaked, smiling through his tears. He cleared his throat. "This is like finding out you're pregnant all over again but better and this time I was ready."

Ginny pulled him close, and they hugged again, swaying softly as Harry's hands rubbed her back. She rested her chin on his shoulder, inhaling the lemon body wash he still insisted on using for her sake even though her morning sickness had pretty much subsided.

Ginny knew not knowing and it possibly being Dean's had weighed on him. She could only be relieved that it was Harry's. It was the better option and then they could become their happy little family.

Harry released her and they looked at each other again. "Wow, I thought I was mentally ready for this, but I really wasn't. We have a healthy baby girl on the way." He shook his head with a happy sigh.

"We do." Ginny wiped her eyes now she was done crying.

Harry put his glasses back on and ran his fingers through his hair. "Okay, you should text Dean. I am sure he is stressed too."

Ginny took up her phone and typed 'Not yours', she looked up at Harry. "Would a celebrating emoji be inappropriate?"

"I am sure he'll be happy with this news too, but let's not push it," Harry said.

Ginny added. 'Talk to you later' and clicked 'send'.

"I am really glad we can finally leave that behind us and then we can really start focusing and planning for this little baby nugget," Ginny said.

"Now we can start planning ahead," he agreed.

Ginny nodded. "Okay, let's get back to studying." She kissed him softly and then settled beside him, trying to focus on studying again.

Harry picked up the papers again and looked at them. "Where was I?"

"Finding the non-existent notes to chapter five," she responded, pulling her laptop closer to her again.

"Snarky!" he commented.

"Hey, you better be nice to me, seeing as I am carrying your child," she said with a smug smile, waiting for Harry's reaction.

He bit his lip. "You're going to use that all the time now, aren't you?"

"Yep." She nodded as she looked at her summary again.

"Honestly, I think that's hitting below the belt," he commented.

"If you hadn't hit below the belt this wouldn't have happened," she retorted. It was a joke she was now happy she could make.

Harry snorted with a laugh. "Fine, I guess you can use it against me." He kissed her cheek before looking back at the notes. "You're right, there's nothing from chapter five."

"I did tell you that," Ginny told him without looking up from her laptop.

"You have to forgive me for not trusting your focus today," Harry said.

"I suppose," she muttered.

A minute later, Harry looked back up. "I am not focused at all, maybe we should take the rest of the day off. We still have tomorrow."

Ginny smiled. "We could go for ice cream?" she suggested.

"No nausea for ice cream?" he asked.

"Thank god no," she responded, already standing up and looking for her wallet.

"We should drop by Dean perhaps on the way out, wrap that up properly," Harry spoke.

"I guess we should," she agreed.

They walked to Dean's dorm a few doors down. Dean had told them Seamus would likely be out for the day studying in the library, so they were okay to drop by.

Ginny knocked and popped her head in, when she saw it was just Dean, she walked in. Harry closed the door behind them.

"Got my text?" Ginny asked.

"Yes. This was the best-case scenario. I am happy for myself but also for you two. You're going to do great with a kid."

"Thanks," Harry said.

Dean looked between them. "So can I write my thesis about you?"

Ginny laughed. "That's still a no from me." She shook her head at him.

"It would be like free couple's therapy," he replied, half-joking.

"I don't think that works as well when the therapist has seen your girlfriend naked," Harry retorted.

"Just take your clothes off and make it even," Ginny suggested. She continued before he could respond. "This is the last time we mention that that ever happened and then I want to forget about it, okay?"

Dean nodded. "I am fine with that."

"Okay, we are going to go. See you around," Ginny said, taking Harry's hand and dragging him back out.

After they got their ice cream, they settled down in a booth. It was calm in the ice cream parlour as most students who frequented the spot were too busy studying to sit down and enjoy an ice cream.

"So you plan on telling your parents on Sunday before dinner?" Harry asked.

She nodded. "I will let them know we're coming earlier. I plan to tell Ron before that, so he has a head's up."

"Ah damn, all your brothers. That's going to be great," Harry said, his brows furrowing slightly.

"I think with Ron, Fred and George you should be pretty okay and that's already half of them," she said happily.

He took a bite of his ice cream. "So comforting, really."

"It'll be fine." She patted his hand. "We got the ultrasound on Friday too, that'll be nice to see the little nuggie. See if I am managing to assemble it the right way around."

Harry chuckled. "Well, it's not like you have assembly instructions so…" He continued more seriously. "Do you worry about that, like genuinely?"

"Yes and no. I can't really do anything about it if it goes wrong but of course I want a healthy baby."

Harry touched a hand to her knee in comfort. "We're past most critical points so Friday we'll know more."

Ginny scooped some whipped cream and licked it off her spoon. "I know. We'll see."

They focused on their ice cream for a moment before it melted.

"How's your ice cream?" Harry asked her.

"Pretty good, want to taste?" she offered.

Harry nodded but before Ginny had the chance of offering him the spoon, he bent down to kiss her instead.

He leaned away and grinned. "Oh, look who is blushing."

She looked down at her ice cream, prodding into it with her spoon. "You took me by surprise."

"It's hard to make you blush these days, I am glad I can still manage," he said.

She pouted at him but too soon her face broke and she laughed. She leaned into him. "You're stupid."

She could feel Harry chuckle against her. "Let's hope that's not genetic."

Ginny was in his arms, it was late but there had been too much excitement during the day to fall asleep now. He could tell Ginny wasn't asleep yet either. She turned around in his arms to face him. Her eyes sparkled even in the low light.

"You would think we would sleep easier now," she commented.

"Yes but it's like the future came completely into focus, I find myself wondering about everything," he replied.

"I know. Before there were too many question marks to fill it in," she said. "You know what? We should burn the sex sheet."

He raised his brows. "Now? It's the middle of the night."

"Yeah. Do you think if we do it in the kitchen, the fire alarm will go off?"

"Definitely," he said. "Can only imagine it... Yes, officer. I was just burning my sex sheet. I just found out my boyfriend is in fact the father of my child, you see." He knew the slap he received against his arm was deserved. "There's a fireplace in the communal area. It's likely empty at this hour."

Ginny sat up and stretched. "Alright then. May as well." She pulled open the drawer and took out the sheet. She looked over it one last time, not feeling any of the anxiety she had felt when she first created it. She folded it.

"Lemme just find my trousers..." she said, looking around. All of a sudden, Harry was pulling his hoodie over her head. She spluttered an objection but then her head popped out and she tucked her arms into the sleeves. It was long enough to act as a dress. She looked down at herself. "I guess that works."

Harry chuckled and pulled on a shirt too. She picked up the paper and they made their way downstairs quietly.

The communal area was vacant, safe from one passed-out guy.

"Do you think he'll wake up?" Harry wondered.

Ginny shook her head. "He reeks of alcohol, so likely not."

"You can smell that?" he asked in surprise.

"Easily," she responded.

He pulled her along and they settled down in front of the fireplace. He took out the matches he had brought and gave them to Ginny. He took the sheet and placed it in the fire. "You can do the honours."

She took out a match. "Dear sex sheet. Thank you for the small comfort you could offer me. May you never be thought of again." She struck the match against the box and then held it against the paper until it caught fire.

"Nice eulogy, Gin."

She smiled and tucked against him as they watched the paper get engulfed by the flames. It didn't take very long for the paper to burn to a crisp completely.

Ginny crawled onto the bed and let herself drop onto Harry's chest so she was entirely on him. His hand landed on the small of her back.

"At the start you were worried about your head getting too heavy for me but look at you now getting comfy," he commented. "And it's not like you've gotten lighter since."

"Well, I wasn't going to sleep here, was just forcing you into a cuddle," she said, her eyes meeting his.

"Yes, how terrible that I must cuddle with you," Harry responded.

"Precisely what I thought. I know you're not a cuddler," she said with a wink because Harry loved nothing more than to cuddle her close. She observed his face for a moment. Ginny looked at him again. "Now that we know and we know it's a girl… I have been wondering what she'll look like. Will she have black hair or red… your lovely green eyes or mine… or maybe blue…" She trailed off, imagining every possible combination.

"I hope she has your cute little nose," Harry added. "I think between your family and my mum, we have a slightly higher chance than average of red-headed kids."

"Only slightly," Ginny added with a smile. "I think I only have redhead genes to pass on so, if it's any other colour, that's going to have to come from your side."

"Yes, I thought so." He ruffled his own hair. "I think it's likely black then."

"Maybe we should put our pictures into one of those merge apps that tell you what your kids will look like," Ginny thought out loud, already reaching for her phone. She picked the first link she found and put their photos in.

"And?" Harry asked.

Ginny shook her head. "This is so bad, I think our kid is going to steal some other kid's lunch money… or summon a demon, maybe both." She showed him.

He grimaced. "That's no good."

Ginny went back, looked for a better option, and put their photos in. "Ah, damn," Ginny said when she saw the result.

"Also not good?" he asked.

"I wish. They rendered four options and they're all equally cute. We must have more kids, Harry," she told him seriously.

Harry took the phone out of her hands as she planted her face against his chest.

"Those are cute kids indeed. The second one is my favourite though," he said as he looked over them.

Ginny's head shot back up. "You can't have favourites, they're our kids!"

"Yes, our very computer-rendered non-existing kids. I am sure the one cooking right now will look just fine." He shot her a pointed look.

Ginny smiled at him. "Soon I won't be able to lie like this anymore, I mean the bump is already coming in."

"Yeah, if you know you can see it," Harry replied, looking at her.

She looked at him. "You think it's cute, don't you?"

He shrugged. "It's you. And you're growing a tiny little human. Of course I'll think that's cute."

Ginny sat up and lifted her shirt and looked down at herself. She was getting a tiny bump and she had stopped wearing tight shirts because she was worried someone would be able to tell. "Now more so when you know it's yours?" she asked honestly.

He took a moment to reply. "Kind of? It's only been a day; I am sorting through a lot of new emotions."

"Me too," Ginny admitted; it was something she hadn't expected. She glanced at the clock. "Okay, our study break is almost over. We do have an exam tomorrow."

Harry sighed as she stood up. He got out of bed too and followed her to the table. They settled down and Harry opened his laptop again. "Three more hours and we should be good."

Neville walked in, carrying a coffee.

"Are you studying with us today?" Ginny asked.

Neville looked between them. "Are you two fighting?"

Harry's eyebrows raised. "No. Why?"

Neville shrugged. "I caught a vibe. Fine, I'll join. If this time it doesn't involve aggressively chanting the definitions..."

Ginny smiled. "Promise. I did ace that part so, it worked. And we appreciate your patience."

Neville smiled and then went to get his books from his room and settled down at the table too. They all fell silent as they focused on their study material.

More A/N: I didn't leave many hints concerning the paternity but here it is:

- The title of the story literally says so (Progeny meaning descendant or offspring). If you had any doubt that Harry was a Peverell in this AU, this is confirmed when Harry talks about Fleamont Peverell. This is the only real hint I put in. It is right there. I thought initially it was too obvious but considering how many of you were grasping at straws, I would say not.

- The sex sheet reflected a statistical likeliness but of course, that doesn't mean anything

- a small hint I put in last minute was the Tomato lemonade. Ginny likes the flavour but then throws up. Harry then also disliking it kind of implies the baby has his taste buds. Scientifically that's probably not very sound...
