Chapter 2 Attack of the Killer Drone

Ube felt the sunlight rays warm his face. He slowly opened his eyes seeing he was still wearing his clothes from before. He was still on the couch in his living room. He gazed down at his arm seeing that strange watch on his wrist.

He sat up and gently touched it. Softly chuckling to himself and held his arm in worry but felt a sense of curiosity take over. A gazed down at his hand wondering what he would do next.

"Well, I guess I'll give this bad boy another shot." He quickly darted his eye around the room seeing all the expensive, furniture and appliances across the space. Then lowered his head thinking about how to handle this better. He had never felt so different when in that form and yet he was himself; it was amazing. He clicked on the dial and turned it. He could see the silhouette of course the first was the slime form.

"Maybe I shouldn't do this in my house," Ube said out loud. He wondered where he could go, this city had eyes everywhere. He did know one thing, Ube needed a long hot shower.

Republic City Park

Chief Beifong walked into the park with hundreds of officers and the crime department was blocking off the press and public from getting in. As soon she stepped into the area two other men stepped by her side walking by her. Both of them wearing the detective informs. One was tall, with gray combed hair and a long, thin mustache, while the other short and tubby and bigger mustache having a black curl afro.

"Lu, Gang what do you have for me?" She asked in a strict tone of voice. The tall one Lu answered.

"Well it could have been a meteor crash, talk about a lucky day, I hear those things are worth a fortune," Lu said out loud. Gang twirled around with his thick mustache.

"Hey don't your sister have a huge collection of meteors, maybe she can help us with the case." Gang was quickly elbowed by Lu. He realized his poor choice of words as he was met with a swift angered glance at him, Lin. She reminds silent and kept walking. They walked towards the giant crater. Lin slid down and study the metal sphere.

Lin had never seen such a meteor like this. In fact, that idea became irrelevant when the metal was so shiny. It was made by something but not man-made. She felt an alien feeling about it, she couldn't think of a blacksmith that could even reach this level of craftsmanship. Lin's hand touched the metal feeling how pure the material was. Something felt off.

Lu wanted to break the tension and coughed to clear his voice.

"Anyway, you'll never gonna believe this, apparently some eyewitnesses said they saw a green spirit," Lu said in an amused voice. Gang laughed as well.

"Spirits! Ha, what are they smoking heh?"

The two started to jab and laugh at each other. Not once taking the situation seriously at all. Lin grumbled but her eyes soon looked at a pile of slime on the ground. She bent down to examine it. Her eyes looked up to see a trail of slime reaching into the grove of trees.

"Hm, spirits, you say," Lin said out loud.

Ube walked into the down parts of town. He carried a large basket on his back. He knew this outer part of the city, it would have had fewer officers there. It was where most non-benders lived, Ube knew one thing true about this city, non-benders had a social disadvantage in this society. The ones who had power were in control and if not, well you were down in the dumps.

The further he went into the city the more run-down buildings started to show. More garbage was on the streets, and the homeless lay on them. The grime, mold, and dirt spread on the corners of buildings. The smell of rotten trash and other undesirable smells would make anyone who wasn't familiar with the city want to throw up.

He couldn't take his mind off this watch. The thing was latched onto him. What it felt like to be something different yet himself; it was like wearing someone else's shoes. Ube eyes drifted up to see a group of homeless people blocking his path all giving a serious stare. Ube stopped in his tracks. Meeting their gazes. The main one of the group walked forward; he was an older man. Wearing ragged brown clothes and he had a scarcely gray beard and unkempt hair. He carried a stoic face. Ube stood his ground glancing over the group.

"Gommu, this is a bigger group than last time," Ube said. He walked towards Ube sticking out his gut while walking.

"While after what you did, they all wanted a piece of you," Gommu said. Ube laughed at them. He slowly grabbed the basket from his side and set it on the ground. He narrowed his eyes at the group seeing children, the elderly, and adults. All the homeless had nervous looks.

"Well then," He grabbed the top of the basket. He quickly opened it to reveal many small rice balls wrapped with seaweed, All of them had widened eyes at the food. Gommu laughed in joy and happily cheered.

"What did I tell you folks, good old Ube always comes through for us."

Ube happily shakes his head and gazes at the hungry coward.

"Alright, there's enough for everybody to get in line and get your grub," Ube called out. They got in line, and Ube gave one each to all of them. Each one was handed out with gentle care and great haste. Ube knew these people haven't eaten in days or worse months. The time of giving was slow but he didn't care. He would give as much as he could to help these people in need. All of these people were non-benders, this city only wanted the best, not the poor who held no value.

The faces that passed were filled with much dread and had gained a little hope with the kind meal given.

He kept passing them along. It pained him to see how each person looked malnourished. The children who were in line were shaking and cold. His eyes widen at a little boy who stepped up, dirty, tired, wet, and sad. He reached out his little hands.

Ube gently put one in his hand, he happily looked down at it, then limped away. Ube watched the last person leaving and could see there was another rice cake. The child was the last in line.

"Hey, kid!" Ube called out. The little boy turned around. He pulled the other one and tossed it to the kid.

"Careful I hear it's a cold out there," Ube said. The child had a soft smile and bowed to him.

"Thank you."

The child limped away happily. Ube took a long sigh and rubbed his face he had plans today thankfully one of them included meeting a fellow patron. He turned around to see Gommu sitting on the street eating his rice cake. Ube approached him and rose an eyebrow.

"I was hoping for a bigger crowd, Are you sure you got the word out?" Ube asked.

"Oh, you know how this works, not that many trust an open hand around here," Gommu said with a disappointed tone of voice. "Honestly it's hard for people to trust someone from the upper class, much less the police chief son."

Ube slapped his forehead, he would have thought no one would notice but it approved to be his downfall. All he wanted to do was help people. Gommu was the first person he really helped on the streets. It was only last year he gave him food every time he saw him. They would talk about their day and he would always give a helping word when needed. He would help the world as much as he could.

"Well, thanks for trying friend." He said. Taking a set by him. Gommu could see he was the only one eating and offered some to Ube.

"Naw it's yours, eat it," Ube said. Gommu had a sad look and then gazed down at his food.

"You feed everyone but who feeds you," Gommu said. Ube lowered his head knowing he had a point but he had a counteroffer to those wise words.

"I see it like this, there are people who don't need to eat and folk who do," Ube said with a confident smirk. Gommu let out a happy laugh that he had to wipe away a tear.

"That's what I love about you kid, always looking up instead of down." Ube shyly rubbed the back of his head.

"Yeah, thanks but I got to ask you a favor though." He asked. Gommu raised a brow at the favor but wasn't against the idea. It was strange how Ube wanted something, Gommu found it to be out of character.

"Well, what is it you want?" He asked. Ube took a heavy sigh and looked down at his wrist. "I just need to know from you personally any spots that are quiet and you won't be disturbed."

Gommus scratched his beard thinking of any spots but why would Ube want that? He quickly shrugged it off and decide to help his friend.

"Well I got one place in mind, I'll show you," Gommus said.

Ube rubbed his face in relief. "Oh thank the spirits."

Ube was happy to hear some good news. Gommu patted his back in a worried manner. Then he noticed a watch picking out of his right self.

"So anyway where is the place can we go right now?" Ube asked.

Gommu quickly stood up and offered a helping hand to Ube. There was a showmanship style to his stance and Ube was sold. He stretched and picked up his basket.

"Alright show me the place," He said in a happy voice. Gommu led the way the two walked into a dark alley and walked with great haste. They passed many dumpsters and dark corners, he passed more of the homeless seeing them in their makeshift shelters. The smell of filth entered his nose but he was familiar with the smell. The sound of coughs and grunts echoed through the poor areas. His black boots walked over bits of broken glass. The smog of pollution and stink stuck to the air, making it almost hard to breathe; this was a path of broken dreams and sadness. Ubes eyes noticed more of the equalist posters. He didn't care for this protest. He understood the divide between benders and nonbenders but violence was not the answer. They talked about equality but would force it on others.

"Their stories about that Amon fellow, the leader of the equalist, people saying he gonna usher in a new peace," Gommu said. Ube shook his head.

"Sounds like he's promising a lot." He said. "What do you think?"

Gommus scratched his chin.

"Well you know how hard it is here Ube, I don't agree with the man but a lot of folks here do." Gommu had made a good point and a lot of people here were desperate for something. Ube fist tightening in rage.

"He's taking advantage of these people," Ube argued. Gommus wanted no hate in his friend, they were all friends here. "Folk here don't have that many options."

"Yay I guess got me there."

A couple of minutes passed, and soon they made it to a large abandoned warehouse, the walls were rusted, and trash was piled up on all sides. The concrete sidewalks by the building are stained with something black. There was a faded billboard outside, with faded red letters. Saying. 'M-r. smo- th.'

Ube had seen worse but was far from happy. Now the million-dollar question had to be asked.

"Do people come here?" Ube asked. Gommu sadly shook his head.

"No one does, it's a real shame this place use to be a smoothie place." He said. They walked to the front doors, the hinges on the door were rusted and falling off. The inside was nothing but open space. It was dark and the windows are covered with years of dust. Ube stepped into the building noticing the littered ground and glass bottles on the floor. Heavy machines abandoned and a lot of space, this place could have been a gym. Ube eyes scanned the place thinking this was perfect then he felt a foul smell enter his nose. It was rot and very pungent.

"Oh man what is that smell, that's worse than the dumpsters out there!" He yelled pinching his nose. "What is that?"

"You see Ube people took the money but left the food here, years worth of fruit all somewhere," He said with his showmanship smile, Gommu patted his back and gave him a nod.

"Well, I've got to go, see ya later friend." He walked away to start his nomad lifestyle.

"See ya at the next food drop off." He said. When Gommu finally left, Ube walked deeper into the building and exploder more into the building. He thought even with the horrible smell this place could be the perfect spot to hide. He turned around and slowly closed the door behind him. The sound of the rusted door echoed throughout the building. He slowly walked to the middle of the room. He gently put his wallet and set it on the ground.

Watching the device on his wrist sleep, he stares at it with nervous eyes, yet a flame of excitement was in him waiting to turn the dial. There were so many questions in his mind, wondering what would happen if he touched it again.

"Would I turn into that slime guy again?" He said out loud, then quickly thought that he needed names for these things when he transformed. He was him but his entire point of view felt different it wouldn't be fair to call himself Ube while in any other form. Then a light bulb went off in his mind. He clicked the button on the side and the dial pushed up. He turned the dial soon reaching a familiar silhouette. Ube reached for the dial but stopped himself before pushing it. He hesitated about his choice.

"What if something happens?" He questioned in his mind. Though he felt his curiosity start to burn within him. In great hast, he pushed down on the dial. A bright green flash of light engulfed the room. His body formed and changed into a new shape. In a matter of seconds, he stood in his slime form. He looked down at himself seeing he was okay. Ube realized he was alright nothing was wrong, it was all him. Marvling at himself Ube tightened his green fist. He could see a bottle across the room and had an idea.

Ube threw a punch across the room, his arm extending, and grabbed the bottle. His arm soon retracted back. He was in control and let out a happy laugh at what he did.

"It's me but goop, Uh goop," Ube said knowing the word. "Hmm yay, that's a good name for this guy, Goop!"

Ube got into a stance holding himself with pride and looking up at the ceiling.

"GOOP!" He shouted echoing off the rusted walls. Ube began to jump higher, move faster, and in a blast of energy he smashed his fist into an old machine denting and shooting across the room.

"Woah, I didn't know I was this strong." slowly gazing at his hand, he began to think of shaping it to be something else but it took great focus. Soon he formed a hammer, but it was not a perfect shape; he knew a lot of this would take practice and time.

"Ah, good thing I'm a fast learner." He thought.

He was acting so carefree and messed about. While running around the building he could always hear the little UFO above him. Ube narrowed his eyes at the device it was him and he had control over it. Though he felt his body was pulled by it feeling like it was keeping him together. Ube started to practice for minutes, and without a doubt he felt so happy to have power, to be able to do something.

"I could make a difference, I can finally help!" He said out loud to himself. All this raw excitement started to change something in his body. Ube started to hear the burning of stone, he could see fumes around him, he looked down to notice his legs were melting the floor, where he stood. Instead of panicking he slowly relaxed and the melting of the floor stopped.

"Uh better not get too crazy or else I'll melt the place." He said out loud. That doesn't mean he had to stop, only be more careful before he could move. The dial on his chest started to blink red and loud beeping noise went off. Soon a red light engulfed him changing him back to normal.

He was shocked as he was back to himself. Ube was flabbergasted at himself.

"What! That was like fifteen minutes, sixteen if I'm pushing it, I can only do this for that long," Ube said to himself finding it crazy there was a time limit on the watch.

"I can only help others for fifteen minutes." He said gazing down at his wrist. Ube took a deep breath finding it to be a little silly he could only be in another form for that long. Trying to make it work, the dail was locked, the green now a dull red.

"Come on work, wow! I guess you need to recharge or something." He said out loud. He sat down seeing the damage he did. Though a question did appear in his mind.

"What am I going to do with this? I know I want to help people but how can I do it with this time limit?" He asked himself.

The day was slowly setting into a purple sky, and while the sun set on the horizon, many top detectives walked through the park studying the sense of destruction. All of them got more questions than answers. Lin was in a white-pitched tent, that was not too far from the crash site, she was reading her notes. There was a handful of people she interviewed about this so-called spirit, and all of them had the same story of seeing a green spirit running past them.

She found it to be silly but the green slime couldn't be identified. She hated when a question like this couldn't be answered, she possibly thought it was an equalist attack but it made no sense for this kind of harm. Gang walked into the tent with Lu following behind.

"Chief it's a lost cause, everybody saying they saw a green spirit."

"Why don't we call the avatar or something to take care of this, it sounds like an avatar thing to me," Gang said. Lu nudges his back.

"Hey, genius the avatar is somewhere in the world, and the only people who can meet this avatar are the white lotus," Lu said.

"Both of you shut your traps and get back with an answer!" Lin snapped, The two quickly ran off to avoid her wrath. After they left Lin held her head in a stressful manner. She was working herself to find answers. She thought of possibly calling her old friend if this was a spirit and what was worse is she was on an empty stomach. She thought of her dear son, she had taken him in after he stuffed the loss of his mother. When Ube was very young Lin would always arrive home before dinner or was to try to make herself anything so her son learned how to cook so she could always come. She always acted against it but he always made her food to at some point he would make her all her meals.

Then an idea popped into her head.

"Ube was in the" Before Lin could finish her words. An officer came running in with panic in his eyes.

"Cheif you need to take a look at this!" He yelled. She quickly ran out of the tent and could see all of her officers looking at the sky. Lifting her head only for her eyes to widen seeing a ball of fire heading right towards them. Her cop instinct activated and shouted commands.

"Everyone take cover!' She yelled. All of the men were snapped out of their daze. Many of the earth benders formed an earth shield around them. Lin did the same as the fireball crashed into the ground, Engulfing the area and trees in a tidal wave of flame. The trees around the area were destroyed leaving only sad black husk behind.

Chief Beifong could feel the area was no longer covered in flame and uncovered herself, soon many of the officers did the same. All of them could see a giant red pill object sticking out of the ground. It was massive standing at forty feet tall.

"What is that?" Lin asked out loud. All of them began to walk forward, the earth bender police started to form an area around it. Making stone dividers from the ground. Lin took a step forward glaring at the object. The large object's sides popped out letting a large amount of steam into the air. It began to shape itself as two red lights peered out of the fog.

A large thud hit the ground shaking the area around them. Lin narrowed her eyes as the steam cleared. Now roughly stood fifty feet tall with more humanoid features and three insectoid legs. Its large three-fingered metal hands were razor sharp. The giant automaton scanned the area. None of the officers didn't know what to do in this situation and a moment of silence settled. The drone switched its head to them spooking the officers. Lin cracked her neck, she could see this was a machine.

She got into a stance to try and bend the metal only for nothing to happen.

"Don't tell me this thing is made of platinum." She thought. Lin did the next thing. "She looked to her fellow officer next to her.

"Subdue this machine right now!" Lin ordered and launched her metal ropes from her sides pulling trying to pull down its arm, she earth bends the ground under her to plant herself. Many other metal benders did the same wrapping their metal cables around its arm. All of them anchored themself down. The drone pulled its arm back though felt much force from the benders. Its computer system found a problem with its path so it would be dealt with. Lin watched as the drone's shoulder pop up as sliver cannon popped out and pointed at the officers.

A red laser shot at the officers but Lin quickly threw a giant plate of earth from the ground. The laser blew up the rock wall, and the force of the blast pushed many away, thankful they landed softly on the ground, thanks to years of earth-bending training. The drone's claws ripped the metal cables off with ease, The drone slowly walked toward the city shooting at

"We're gonna need backup," Lin said.

Ube had spent hours timing himself for how long he could transform, He had sat down writing in a notebook trying to figure out an answer for this watch. In all he was amazed at what he could do as Goop, he was stronger, faster, and more agile. Ube looked at his watch and turned the dial. There were ten other silhouettes, including Goop. The best part was there was no downside to transformation. He figured that any injury her had in his human form was healed when he went to creature form.

Ube wanted to see what the other creatures looked like but he was running out of time today. He walked out of the building taking a deep breath. Packing up he opened the door to the outside. The street was quiet and Ube had smiled as he gazed up at the stars.

"Thank you for giving him this, who's ever up there," Ube said gratefully for this chance. He wonder what was to come next in his life. Things looked like they would be different but he would see them though.

He walked up the street only, to hear many loud voices ahead of his path. He wonder what it was only to hear many foot steeps echo through the street, a coward of panicked people ran past, and Ube quickly moved to the side to avoid being trampled by the people. A loud explosion could be heard from afar. Ube turned his head to see the downtown echoing with a police siren. He had a nervous gulp and looked down at the watch on his wrist and slowly locked his eyes on the city.

"Time to find out what I can do," Ube said out loud. He ran towards the danger with great haste. He did have good enough mussels to run past blocks. His lungs were getting worked but he was far from tired.

After running block after block he was soon in the downtown district. When his eyes latched onto the street, seeing giant holes in the roads, and broken glass littering the ground. it was empty, the buildings, the cars and the small stores abandoned for people left them. His eyes widened in horror seeing a giant automaton monstrosity terrorize the city. He watched to see it rip apart buildings looking like it was searching for something.

Ube swiftly ran behind a corner so no one would see him and looked down at his watch, he gulped knowing this would be the first time he would go into a fight, sure he was in a penalty of city scuffles, but it always end up with him losing. it's not that he wasn't weak. He just didn't know how to fight. He took a deep breath and looked down at his watch.

"It's now or never."

He twisted the dial and slammed down the face. He felt his body change in a matter of seconds. Now standing in his place was Goop, Ube felt he could do anything now, there was so much energy in himself, he had to let it out.

"GOOP!" He shouted into the air. Ube let out a chuckle. "Ah, that felt good."

He quickly ran out into the open his green fist ready to bash this robot. The giant picked up a nearby bystander and bought to it's face. The red light on its head flashed red.

"Hey pick on someone your own size!" He yelled, the robot turned its head at Goop. The light on its head turned green after staring at him for a while. It dropped the person Goop rushed over to catch the person his UFO flying at a rapid speed pulling his green slime body and catching the man before he hit the ground.

He looked down seeing the person.

"I got you." He said. Instead of grand thanks, the man screamed and ran like a bat out of hell. Goop was happy at least thinking he was safe.

"Looks like the day is sav-" He was cut off when the drone smashed its arm above Goop, digging him into the ground and squishing him into a puddle.

"Ah, I forgot, well it's a good thing I can't feel pain." He thought, only seeing darkness.

It slowly pulled its arm out of the ground to see the green puddle gazing. The drone reached out with its claws, it was programmed with only one thing, obtain the watch. Ube stayed still until the claw was just in reach. When the drone's hand reached into the pit. Ube narrowed his green eyes.

"Now!" He thought. The UFO leaped out of the pit blanketing over its hand with his green slime. The Drone blasted a beam of orange light out of its hand. Only to be a vain attempt as the laser only blasted a hole in Goop.

"Nice try but I always come back together," Ube said. "Now let's see how durable you really are."

The arm that Goop covered started to burn as his acid body was slowly melting the drone arm off. The machine tries to pull him off, with its other arm but as soon its metal fingers touched the green slime, only to be dissolved. The drone stumbled around trying to pry it off.

"I can't believe it, this is working, I can fight, I can win." Ube thought. In a cold calculated decision, it Quickly shot off its arm, making it fall to the ground. Goop reformed himself while the little UFO kept him together. He began to think of other ways to bring it down. Running toward it, he dragged his fist onto the ground collating rumble and rock.

He lept into the air and shaped his fist using almost all of his mass to form a hammer. He swung with great force knocking the drone back. Goop landed on the ground and watched as the drone stumbled back.

"What's the matter, trashcan can't handle any slime on you." He said. The machine found its balance and turned its head toward Goop. raising its other arm, preparing to shoot a laser.

He ran toward the drone this time knowing where to go next. When it fired it was a laser. It wasn't aiming for his body but the silver, UFO hovering above his head. When the device was launched away, Goop's body was pulled with it. The small device crashed into a brick wall, embedding itself, while following suit with a Group splattering all over it. Goop let out a tired sigh. He was nowhere near in pain, but the action sure did annoy him.

"Aw! Note to self wherever the saucer goes, I go."

He slowly got up only to hear a familiar beeping noise.

"Oh no!" he said out loud in alarm. Then within milliseconds, he was back to normal. Ube glanced to see the machine was slowly getting up.

"Got to think fast!" He thought quickly and ran into a narrow alleyway to try and avoid him, and possibly get some time back to transform. Unfortunately, he was met with a dead end.

"Damn it." He cursed. Ube felt nervous as the sound of loud footsteps was marching his way. Ube fidget with his watch trying to get it to work, he quickly hid behind a dumpster bin.

"Come on work you watch!" The alleyway was soon illuminated by a red light. Ube watched as the drone was already at the entrance of the alley, but due to how narrow it was the drone could only get its single arm in the alley. Reaching for Ube only to be stopped by the two buildings holding it back. Ube ran back towards the wall avoiding its attempt to grab him.

"Come on work!"

The drone slowly pointed its arm at Ube. A yellow glow started to blind him. It was reading another shot at Ube. He started to fidget with the watch more trying to make it work.

Its hand was ready for the shot, to Obliterate its target and retrieve what its master desired.

Crash!

A giant rock smashed into the side of the drone forcing it away from the alleyway. The Drone turned its head to see Police Chief Befiong, with a squad of her own all taking a stance. She had seen how much damage it took and was thankful she could use that to her advantage.

"Aim for the legs!" She ordered her fellow metal benders. The squad lept in the air and shot their metal cables warping around the street lights. They swung in the air holding onto their cables. The drone fired a shot at the group but couldn't find a steady target to shoot at. The squad landed downward and landed on the ground, they surrounded the drone and bended the earth under the machine, digging its legs into the ground. Lin ran forward and bended a giant boulder at the drone head. The rock smashed against its head and shattered into million pieces, though the attack was in vain for no damage was done to it.

Lin dogged a laser heading her away but the explosion from behind, pushed her back sending her across the street.

Ube watch from the alley in horror, we wanted to get in and help. Though he didn't want to be in the way he was now. He turned to the watch again trying to force it. Each time he tried to turn the dial only heard low beeb and the face was still red.

"Come on you stupid watch work already."

The dail turned green and the face popped up.

"It's hero time!" He shouted. Without thinking he slammed down on the face unaware he picked a different form. He felt his body change in a matter of seconds. He felt like a surge of energy ran through him. When he opened his eyes he felt completely different from last time he transformed. Ube looked down, seeing his hand was not slime but yellow hair, while his forearms had black fur on them. He was taller now six feet tall, he wore a pair of black shorts while the Omnitirx latched on his abdomen, he had a more ape appearance, and he was more muscular. He had metallic gray circular bolts on the back of his hands and on his lower jaw. While three horns like lightning bolts sticking out of his head.

"Woah Eh!" He said in a thick Canadian accent. He gazes down. This was not Goop and but out of all those lessons practicing with Goop, it was that instinct of his own body, telling him what to do and right now he felt like he could run a marathon. He took a deep breath and brought his fist into his palm.

"Let's do this eh."

Lin had narrowly avoided another swipe from the drone. The metal benders tried to bury the drone in earth but it would break out every time. The boulders, plates of rock, and what was worse was that the metal that this drone was made of was pure. Even though she was a pro metal bender, if the material was too pure without rock within it, it was unbendable.

Lin took a deep breath and used her seismic sense, a family skill. This skill enables Earth benders to detect vibrations in the ground to perceive objects, people, and other aspects of their environment. Lin steady her stance and raised her fist out. The Drone swatted away many of the officers that swung in the air. It turned its head to see Lin holding her ground. It raised its dissolved arm. An orange light charged and pointed right at her.

Standing off against the drone made for war, a beam was blasted at her. Lin reacted and stomped on the ground sending a sharp spike made of stone through one of the drone's legs slicing it clean off. Lin's eyes could only see the laser heading her way, without hesitation she realized this was the end. Her past hardship flashed before her eyes but soon all the sweet moments of rising her son did as well.

"If their one thing I did right it was raising you Ube."

Then before she could get hit by the light beam something pushed her out of the way. Her eye caught a glimpse of a large figure that tackled her out of the way. The laser missed and hit a building behind them, exploding the building a block away from them, Lin was on the ground daze and slowly turned her head up to see a hulking yeti figure, looking at her. All the police training and past had not ready her for what she was seeing. It looked down at her and showed its teeth. Lin thought of only one thing: a monster.

"Nice job Eh, but I got the rest from here, You can tell your men to get out of here." The creature said. Lin was baffled at this thing, then realized it wasn't bearing its teeth at her, it was smiling. Ube turned towards the drone and cracked his knuckles. He was angry and could feel a thunderstorm within rage out of control.

"Alright, you hunk of junk you can mess with me but nobody messy with my mom!"

The Drone switched its attention towards Ube who stood strong. It raised its arm to fire a beam of energy at him. He ran out of the way and bolted towards the robot. He saw a manhole cover and reached out to grab it. With great force he threw the metal disc at the machine, stabbing in its left glass visor. The machine was knocked back as Ube landed back on the ground. When he landed on the ground he noticed his whole body sparked energy.

He quickly figured out what this form was cable off. He remembered the time that Jin shot a bolt of lightning. He smirked at this information and knew that emotion was key to his forms. The Drone was slowly getting back up, its hand reaching for a nearby building to help itself up.

"Hey!" Ube yelled.

The Drone reached out one more time to blast him one more time. He narrowed his eyes, he gripped his fist, the energy inside of him was making his fur puff up. The rising of yellow energy sparks around him. The tiny rock around him floats up in the air. His eyes glowed yellow so bright it was as if a lighthouse was standing in front of it.

He let out a mighty roar! a mix of man and ape. A gazer of yellow lightning shot out his mouth blasting the Drone straight into its core. A giant flash could have been seen across the city. The lightning was massive and uncontrolled as the energy completely destroyed the drone while also making giant holes in the ground and destroying the building behind the Drone. A giant could of dust and debris covered the area. Lin covered herself in an earth shield. While many of the other officers did the same.

Lin was at a loss of breath unsure of what to do, she was chief police yet giant mechs were falling out of the sky, Now spirits are walking around her city. All she was doing was trying to subdue the machine and wait until untied forces arrived. Now she was taking cover from the craziest battle she had seen. Lin let down the earth around her and quickly got into a fighting stance. The gray dust obscures the area.

She walks into the unknown, waiting for anything to move.

"Is anybody out there, sound off?" She called out.

"We're fine."

"All good chief."

"I'm here."

As the dust obscured the area, Lin stomped her bare foot on the ground to sense if it was still around and found no trace of it. She was tired of all this dust and slammed her hands down in the air, forcing the dust to the ground, making the area clear as day.

She was baffled seeing the destroyed drone laying in a pile of metal. Its front was torn open; gutted like a fish.

Lin looked around the empty streets, it was then two giant blims floated above the area shining down two spotlights at the area. Only one question was on her mind, where did that thing go? Though she did know she was gonna have a mountain of paperwork to fill. She switched her attention toward an officer who was making blockades for the roads.

"You, call Councilmen Tenzin I need him here right now for his opinion."

The officer nodded and ran off to follow shit with orders, she turned her head toward the others.

"The rest of you find that spirit!"

Ube ran as fast as he could from running on all fours, he felt his blood rushing through his veins, and the feeling to overcome anything followed in his mind. He lept over a building and stuck the landing.

He stopped to admire what he did.

"This is amazing Eh, I can do it, I can save lives, make a difference." Ube faced the city in front of him. Seeing the lights and the many lives that lived within grand buildings, while the sun rises to mark a new day. Ube stood with pride. "I can help change the world Eh."

Ube smirked at the idea that there were eight more forms in here. Then a sudden thought hit his brain.

"Oh no Eh, I'm gonna be out before curfew!"

Ube quickly leaped into the air to the next rooftop, he was Ube and is gonna change the world. Ube ran across the roof leaping into the air and reached his hand on a ledge, unfortunately when his fingers gripped the stone it crumbled. He fell into an alleyway and landed on a dumpster crushing it as he lay on the ground in pain.

"I'm okay Eh." He said in a grumble.

Though in the end, he has a lot to learn if he wants to change anything.
