To have freedom we must first have choice.

Chapter 7 Stuck in My Shell Part 2

Ube has had many bad days but this had to be one of the worse yet. Now stuck in his new Terraspin form, sneaking in the alleyways, to not be seen by the public eye, he didn't want to fly through the air because of two important reasons. Number one he was still new to flying in this form and number two the sky was being watched with police blimps. Thanks to a very proactive mom, He had to make it to one place he knew, he would be safe at. Thankful he reached the spot with a happy smile.

The Happy Dragon restaurant was in his sites. Terraspin war relief to see how he was here. Mr. Shi would always friend and he needed his help more than ever. Slowly he noticed how the road was empty and jolted across with his stumpy legs. Soon on the other side of the road waiting by the back door to the Happy Dragon; being obscured by the alley shadows.

Terraspin quickly used his fin to gently knock on the door. Being very gentle, making sure he wouldn't knock off the door. If there was one thing all his forms taught him, it was all of them had a very enhanced strength, the only exception was four arms where he was extremely strong and had to walk around town like a bull in a China shop.

Though he knocked on the door again seeing no one had an answer. Terraspin felt alarmed and knocked on the door again.

"Come on, come on please, open up!" He said wanting to get out of there very quickly. The door handle twisted open, and Ube felt so relieved knowing that Mr. Shi would be the one to greet him. Though instead of an old face greeting him, it was much more gorgeous with piercing green eyes that would make Terraspin's knees weak.

"Hello, can I-" Asami said though she was cut off seeing who was at the door.

"Asami!" Terraspin said in shock. As the two were staring at each other in complete surprise. The other is too shy to say a word. Inside Terraspin was in complete disarray and a tad bit of a lovestruck feeling.

"Uh hey, can you give me a ride," Terraspin said in a shy voice. Asami took a nervous gulp and relaxed her hand. They seemed to be a lot of spiritual moments in her life now. She let out a soft chuckle.

"Let me ask my boss," Asami said.

Shin was sitting in the chair that was originally Zolt. Now he was the leader of the triple triads or was he? You see Jin had been the one calling the shots. While Shin was just the frontman a scapegoat. He questions if he should stay in the city anymore. Jin was the one to throw out Zolt's body into the docs. He wanted to make a statement that someone new is in charge and the other gangs. He heard the sound calling behind him. Shin shifted around to see Jin in the room.

Shin quickly straightened up and got out of the chair.

"I'm sorry I didn't see—" Shin was cut off by Jin.

"Relax boss," He said mockingly. Jin was now wearing more nice clothes, yet it was more of a middle-class style, showing he was always working. Black pants and a long gray-sleeved shirt.

"You're the boss, remember and I stay behind and run things," Jin explained. He grabbed the pillow from Zolt's throne, fluffing a pillow and throwing it back.

"So tell me about the shaken down that went wrong," Jin said. Shin felt his blood go cold and felt a bit uncomfortable at how Jin could know that. He took a nervous gulp afraid he was going to get a gangster beatdown.

"So how did you know about that," Shin asked, trying to keep his cool. Jin clicked his teeth and smiled.

"It's is my job to know, I'm not the boss but hey I'm not upset, in fact, how could I be, what's a person to do when faced with a mutant frog?" Jin said, making a reasonable statement. "All I just want you to do is learn from your mistake,"

Shin could see where he was coming from and nodded his head. Jin smiled seeing Shin understood what he meant. Shin took the seat and let out a relaxed whiff. Thinking he was in all the clear and was surprised when he felt a firm hand on his shoulder. Then a bright white flame appears on the open palm of Jin.

"Bone turns to ash at one-Thousands five hundred degrees, this white flame burns twice as hot, your smart guy, remember that," Jin said in a calm tone of voice. Then that white flame vanished leaving a scared Shin. "But relax I'll handle the big choices,"

While Jin walked out the door, Shin stayed in his seat and tried to act cool but was failing miserably. "All I have to do is keep it cool, don't screw up this time,"

Jin was in the other room, looking at a city map that hung in the back room. He wondered what would be next, The red typhoons were selling in their territory, while the non-bender ghettos were out of the question, not when those freaks were protecting it. even those equal lists have taken territory, setting up their bases. He needed to make a move and take the city but he also needed the manpower to do it, what was he going to do? He looked at the table and gripped his fist it was time for him to make a move. Jin would work in the shadows and control this city, he then remembered how lacking they were in equipment.

"Maybe it's time for this gang to be brought into the modern age," Thankful new technology was in the hand of Mr. Sato. Jin smiled at the idea he had. A simple break into a rich man's factory. If he was going to conduct his plan he might need other hands.

"I'll have to give Rojo a call, it's time for some young blood to take over!" Jin said with a wicked smile.

Terrapin was setting in the alleyway waiting for Asami to come back. He was waiting for a couple of minutes but it seemed hours to him. He wanted to meet Tenzin to figure out how to control his wind.

"Wait I need to word that better!" Terrapin said out loud. Though the more important issue was at hand. How was he supposed to get out of this form? He tried to think anytime this watch acted strange, Then like a ton of brick hit him, Ube's mind flashed back to a certain memory.

Ube looked at the watch on his shoulder and gave interest in the watch and soon twisted the dial.

Then he slapped the dail only to hear a voice spooked him.

"Omnitrix locked activated!" Ube heard his voice coming from the watch. Ube was freaked out and poked the watch.

"Um, hello are you alive," Ube asked. He then twisted the watch again. Ube raised a brow a the watch. "So you called the Omnitrix, are you alive?"

"Omnitirix unlocked." Ube could tell something was, he thought maybe it was a pre-recorded message.

Ube was confused but found some sense of peace a least knowing the machine on his wrist.

Terraspin stood up with great haste and smiled with his turtle face. "That's it, when I was falling I must have achieved some sort of form lock on the Omnitrix, I bet all I have to do is turn the dial!"

Terraspin was happy he used his fin to reach down and grab the dail, oh wait not hands but fins that couldn't grip that much. Terraspin gazed at green fins, that could tear down sailboats in horror.

"OH NO!" He said in shock. "I can't twist it with my turtle hands!"

The door to the back opened with Mr. Shi walking out, followed by the pleading Asami from behind not to look back.

"Wait Mr. Shi don't call the cops!" Asami said running out to block his path. She didn't want to cause any suspension to her but somehow that man figured out something was wrong. Terraspin took a nervous gulp and fiddled with his fins. Mr. Shi raised an eyebrow at the alien knowing very well this was Ube, the dial on his chest was a dead giveaway. Not to mention that uneasy stare in Terraspin's eyes belonged to an awkward teenager.

"So what does the spirit need this time?" He asked. Noticing the distress in Ube. Terraspin looked behind Mr. Shi and saw Asami gazing at them. He cleared his throat and gently pulled Mr. Shi to the side and pulled his fin up, obstructing Asami from hearing them speak.

"I'm stuck in this form, The good news is I figured out how to get out of it, Bad news is I have to meet Tenzin for air bender training," Ube said quickly in a harsh whisper. Mr. Shi slapped his forehead and gave a tired sigh.

"And I also need a ride to the docs, I can't fly that good," Terraspin said in an awkward tone of voice. Mr. Shi had a pondering look on his face.

"Well, I can't close the restaurant for today, so I got a plan," He said. Giving some needed relief to Terraspin.

"Great, what is it?" Terraspin asked. Slowly putting his fin down.

"Hey, Asami you want to drive this spirit to the docs, I give you double time!" Mr. Shi yelled at Asami who stood by and watched the two speak in silence. Her face lit up with excitement and took over with joy to adventure. Not to mention understanding these spirits, she had a couple of questions to ask.

"Absolutely!" She said. Terraspin's green eyes widen at the news. He gulped what had just happened. Though one thing did come to his mind, double time. He's worked for Mr. Shi for years and he never got double pay. Ube assumed that his boss never could afford it.

"Wait how can you afford that? Arnt you short on cash!" Terraspin said. Mr. Shi had a cheeky smile.

"Not unless I don't pay my other worker Ube, whos late today," Mr. Shi in a happy way trying to let Terraspin how he was getting the money. Terraspin had a slacked jaw and wide eyes.

"Mr. Shi please I'll do this for free besides I have a debt to pay to you guys!" Asami said. She then made eye contact with Terraspin who looked away with a green blush on his face. Mr. Shi nodded and gave Asami the keys to the company car.

"If that's your choice then so be it," Mr. Shi said with a smile. Terraspin was glad to hear the news now they could get out of there. Asami quickly walked away to bring the car around. Before he could say anything he felt a soft elbow jab his abdomen, looking down he could Mr. Shi getting his attention.

"Enjoy for first date kiddo!" Mr. Shi joked quickly jolting back into the restaurant door.

"It's not a date it's just she driving me somewhere because I can't get there, Oh gosh that sounded sad out loud," Terraspin said. Before he could protest anything else, he heard the honking of a horn calling at him. Terraspin turned around to the other side of the alleyway, Asami waving toward him to the small automobile. Terraspin walked towards her and noticed something that would be soon a problem. The car was too small. Asami realized this as well and rubbed her chin in a thinking manner.

"Okay this might be a problem," She said trying to figure out a solution. The problem was that the alien's body was so wide. Terraspin had an idea pop into his head.

"Allow me," His fin let open the door. Asami was about to ask Terraspin to stop but any argument she was about to make died in the back of her throat seeing how careful, Terraspin's limbs that were outside the car and retracted inside his shell. While the other fin pulled into the back seats. His head turned at Asami with a smile.

"TA-DA!" Terraspin said. Asami had a surprised reaction platted on her face.

"Well I guess that solves that," Asami said. She quickly walked into her vehicle and entered the driver's side and started the engine. Terraspin felt the car moving and passing people by the road. All though if an outside person were to look in their car, they would see a young lady driving a car and carrying a giant shell in the back seat. Asami felt a silence start to build up in the car it would take a couple of minutes to get to the ship docs.

Terraspin wanted to speak but couldn't find the right answers to start up a conversation. The car reached a red light and stopped. As they waited for the light to turn green, Terraspin looked out the window seeing an equalist rally, protesting on the sidewalk. It appeared that more people were here today. Asami glanced at the back mirror to see Terraspin looking at the equalist people.

"Does that bother you?" She asked. Terraspin was taken out of a trance and gazed at Asami. Her green eyes were looking right at him. Well, he wanted to talk to her why not start now?

"Well I don't like all the negative messages but I understand where they're coming from, The benders have all the power, while they get pushed around, " Terraspin answered. Asami understood that but the way Terraspin sounded, didn't sit well with her.

"I understand that too, Do you hate non-benders then?" Asami asked.

"No, but I hate what the equalist do to gain more of a following, I protect the non-bender ghettos, they use people's hate and fear, to bring them to their side. A cause like that can get people hurt and I don't like when people get hurt," Terraspin said in a stoic voice. Asami was taken aback by his answer seeing at the end of the day all these spirits wanted to do was help people. She found it to be inspiring, though she did have questions to ask these spirits, in truth she wasn't as kind, as Terraspin she had one deep hatred for one style of bending and it was fire bending. She loathed it with a passion, it was what took her mother away from her family.

"Do you hate bending?" Terraspin asked. Asami's hands tightened on the wheel.

"I don't mind the rest but fire isn't my favorite, I don't hate it but it brings back some bad memories, I've been working on it actually," She said. Terraspin was curious why just one and not all of them. Was it reasonable or simply petty?

"Why do you fire benders, make you uncomfortable?" He asked innocently. Her eyes slowly watered up and Terraspin regretted asking a question. Though she was still in very much control of the car, still had a stoic face, like she had done this before.

"When I was young my mother was killed by a fire bender," She simply stated. Terraspin felt horrible at how that happened to her.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to bring up any scars," Terraspin said.

"It's fine you were just asking, it still hurts but I know she still loved me," Asami said whipping her tears away. "Can I ask you if, maybe you saw her in the spirit world, Her name was Yasuko Sato," She asked with much hope in her voice. Terraspin wanted to say see and put her pain away but he knew better than that, to lie to a grieving person.

"I'm sorry but no, I haven't," Terraspin could see the disappointment in her eyes. She felt a wave of sadness in her. Terraspin let one of his fins gently out of his shell and laid it on her shoulder, in a comforting manner. She turned her head to see the fin trying to bring her ease. Feeling a warm bubbling comfort seeing how this turtle was trying his best.

"Thanks," Asami muttered.

"Hey, I may not have met her but I'm sure she would be proud of who you are, A young, beautiful, smart, and brave person. Who cares for others, I'm sure she is happy knowing that," Terraspin said. Asami smiled at his words, it was too kind of him to say.

"You have a way with words, thanks," Asami said with a happy smile. "So I have another question why did you come for the happy dragon for help?"

Terraspin panicked and tried to think of an answer that wouldn't bring any suspension to him or Mr. Shi. so don't tell a lie twist the truth.

"I wanted to see your boss, to see if that Ube guy was there," Terraspin said. Asami was surprised by the answer.

"Ube why him? you weren't gonna hurt him?" She asked her tone of voice boarding on anger. She wasn't afraid to pull this car around and whoop this spirit if she had to. The light finally turned green as she moved the car.

"Of course not, I heard he is a good guy and helps people," Terraspin said. Asami was shocked if anything she thought this spirit would at least go to the avatar first. Not some random guy in the city, even though she did find him to be cool.

"Well he's helped a lot of people, he tries to supply people in the non-bender ghettos, food drives, clothes, and try to bring some life to those streets," Terraspin said. "He's a good guy is all I'm trying to say."

"Woah he does all that," Asami asked. "You know when I first meet him, he seemed so awkward, just a guy who was always in the back but I guess there, was more to him under the surface."

Terraspin gently smiled at what she said. Making surprised was feeling Ube would love to keep giving her. Though this sweet moment was cut short as they finally made it to their destination. Quickly pulled the car around a building corner, out of prying eyes. Terraspin could see it out of the front window. Air Temple Island was just on the horizon he made it just in time, maybe not at dawn but he was going to go. Asami quickly got out of the car and opened the door letting Terraspin out. He rolled himself out and landed on his feet.

"Alright here we are, do you need anything else?" Asami asked in a joking manner. Terraspin smiled and gave a polite bow. Asami did the same while thinking about how crazy her day was. The smell of salt water entered his nose while seeing no boats were out, due to how calm the winds were. The ocean waves are small and the sky is open and clear. This was a fishing port thankful not a transport shipyard. An old ship house was there as well, with gray wore down walls and fish nack items decorating the front.

"Thank you, now comes the hard part," He said looking at the island knowing he had to fly there. It was gonna be a bumpy ride.

"So why did you want to come to the docs?" Asami asked.

"I'll be honest, I'm an air spirit, but I don't know how to control my wind so I'm going to a master to help me aka…" Terraspin trailed off so Asami could answer.

"You need help from Master Tenzin," Asami said putting the piece together. She nodded but laughed at something that Terraspin said. Holding her hand over her mouth to not draw attention. Terraspin noticed and wonder why the laughing.

"What so funny?" He asked.

"You might wanna word 'control my wind' better or people will start calling you a gassy spirit," She gently laughed making, the turtle blush in embarrassment. Though he quickly shook it off.

"Well I got to go, it was nice to meet you-" He said but was caught off by Asami.

"Wait you didn't tell me your name," She said. He smiled and did a heroic pose pointing them into the air, looking up high in the sky.

"I'm Terraspin!" He shouted and quickly left running towards the wooden docs. Asami had to hold in her laugh but still smiled. The spirit acted more like a child than a wise being of the afterlife.

"Dork," She joked gently. Now finally alone and could go back to work. There was an odd familiarity with all these spirits she would see, finding them all to be kind. "I wonder where Ube is,"

Terraspin was running toward the end of the docs, he took a deep breath flying wasn't the issue but the tornadoes that came out of his chest and could level bundling were. He kept his head out and let his fins out and his fins quickly spin around his body. Then he took off into the sky with great force. Now the hard part was coming and that was landing.

"I hope my mom's Ex doesn't mind flashy entries," Ube thought.

Tenzin was in his studies reading scroll after scroll trying to figure out a solution to this spirit's problems. Though each time he was met with a wall, the scrolls talked about spirits but never, showed how to teach them. In fruition, he rubbed his bald head trying to get rid of his mental block. Tenzin questioned himself if would he teach some mundane air-bending techniques. It seemed so easy for a spirit to learn on its own. He hoped he could help these spirits and solve the non-bender ghettos.

The door opened to reveal his wife Pema, with a smile on her face, entering the room with humble grace.

"Honey it's breakfast, why don't you eat with us," She said, wanting her husband to lay off the stress. Tenzin smiled and looked at his clock it was still some time before dawn hit. A quick meal with his family couldn't have hurt.

"Of course dear," Tenzin said, following his wife to the dining area. The closer he got the more he could hear his three kids arguing with each other. The brown square table was on the floor, and what lay on top of the table was an assortment of vegetarian meals. Airbenders were known to never take a life, this would even apply to even their meals. Tenzin walked to his seat, there were no chairs only floor cushions. On the left were three children ranging between ten, seven, and five. They all wore Air nomad clothes, the same as their father. The eldest had brown hair, that reached past her ears, and she had a side bun. Having brown eyes and cal outward appearance. Jinora was known to be calm and a bookworm.

The middle child, was a bit shorter than Jinora, being three feet tall. She had silver eyes and a smile on her face. She had two hair buns on each side of her head. Right, she was playing with her chopsticks and having a giggling fit. This hyper child was Ikki, a bright young lady full of joy. On the far end was the youngest being only three, he had a shaved head. He had big black eyebrows and missing one of his front teeth. This was Meelo, a young reckless child, with a heart of gold and a very active imagination. Pema walked and sat on the other side of the table. They all began to dig into their meals. Tenzin looked around the table and was happy to have a nice moment.

"So honey what's got you all worked up?" Pema asked seeing this was not a council problem she could tell because her husband would be in an hour rant. Something personal was chipping at him. Tenzin knew he had to tell them and hoped for the best. His children weren't paying attention.

"Pema I talked to a spirit today and I have invited this soul to the air temple at dawn," Tenzin said. The whole table was quiet and his rowdy kids forced on him. Pema had her mouth dropped.

"What!" Pema said in shock. A spirit was here in the city.

"Realy Dad!" Jinora said being pulled out of her book.

"Was it a pretty spirit like a fairy or giant platypus bear? Did it throw up rainbows!" Ikki said in pure joy.

"Did you fight it?" Meelo asked.

Tenzin could see there were so many questions but he took a deep sigh and thought calmly. Pema wanted to ask the one question that loomed in her mind.

"Is it dangerous?" Pema asked. She heard the destruction of these spirits and it scared her.

"No, well actually yes, he's quite a nice spirit he just seemed like he was lost, I read so many of my books and I couldn't find a name of Terraspin anywhere," Tenzin said. He wanted to tell them everything was alright but couldn't be sure. So he would not risk their safety. Even though Terraspin showed no hostility, he couldn't be too careful. Pema could tell under her husband's cool face was a storm of panic, this was the biggest moment in his life. To connect to a spirit. She smiled there was still time before this Terraspin arrived. Jinora thought this was like one of her books.

"This evening I want you all to go to the far end of the island," Tenzin said. "I've called Lin about this and she coming, so in case something goes wrong,"

The room went silent but Pema would look on the bright side of this situation. She moved her chopstick to pick her favorite dish. "Well let's get something in our stomach before then alright family," She said.

"I couldn't agree more," Tenzin said. The room was filled with happy energy as they ate together. Before Tenzin could take a bite of his sticky rice bun. A loud crash shocked the room. Tenzin quickly ran out of the room and opened the paper screen door that lead to the stone courtyard. A brown dust cloud settled as the white lotus guards surrounded the area. When the dust was gone, Tenzin could see a green shell deep within the stone floor.

All the guards held their bending stance, waiting for Master Tenzin's command.

"Ah, that was a bad landing," Terraspin spoke. Tenzin recognized the voice and raised his hand at the guards.

"Stand down it's the spirit don't engage," Tenzin ordered. Some followed the order without question but many still hesitate but slowly backed away. Tenzin saw the turtle slowly get up and rubbed his back shell. Terraspin noticed his surroundings and gave an awkward cough trying to break the tension.

"Uh take me to your leader," Terraspin said, though he could see Tenzin standing with a concerned look. "Oh never mind he's right there, hey Mr. Tenzin or should I call you Master Tenzin?"

Tenzin could see no hostile anger in his eyes and calmly walked over to Terraspin.

"You have called me Tenzin but may I ask you a favor before I train you," He asked with a stoic voice. Terraspin simply nodded relaxed and nonchalantly.

"May I perhaps eat breakfast with my family before we start?" Tenzin asked. In truth, he wanted to stall for time, For Lin to show up. He only hoped that this spirit was merciful and patient. After reading so much about spirits he learned that many of them didn't care for humans, Tenzin knew it was a long shot but had to give it a try.

"Sorry I didn't know I was cutting into family time, I'll just sit out here, you let me know when you're ready," Terraspin said, he took a seat on the ground by the hole he made, Terraspin quickly pushed some ruble into the hole, failing miserably. "Sorry, I'll fix that later."

Tenzin just wanted Lin to show here in case of the worse and yet each time he meets this spirit, the more he could tell he was a gentle soul. He waved his hand letting the guards quickly move away and back to guard their post.

"Thank you, I promise I won't take too long," Tenzin said.

"Hey take your time, I don't mind," He said sitting on the ground, looking up in the sky. He gazed down at his fins and gave a worried gaze. Thankful he knew how to get back but twisting the dial was important. Tenzin walked back to the door seeing all his family staring at the turtle that sat in their yard. All of them had a look of wonder seeing this so-called spirit for the first time. Tenzin took a deep sigh and walked inside.

"It's alright, let's go back to dinner, our guest is going to wait," Tenzin said, taking his seat and going back to his meal. Meelo smiled with childish glee.

"Hi Mr. Turtle, do you eat people!" Meelo said, though his mother quickly pulled him back to the table. Terraspin thought Meelo was a bit weird and quickly had a puzzled look.

"Meelo don't be rude, go back to the table," Pema said. Though she quickly poked her head out the door.

"Sorry he's young, you know kids," She said trying to keep the peace. Terraspin waved his fin.

"Oh it's alright, It's nice to meet you," Terraspin said. Pema gave a nervous smile back and rush to her husband's side.

"Well… he seems Uh… nice," Pema said trying to figure out the right words for the situation. Tenzin nodded and truly could say these were strange times.

"He is, Pema you can leave with the kids right now but I'll try and hold him here while I finish breakfast," Tenzin said. Pema peaked out the door again, and Terraspin gave waved at her.

"Alright I'll stay, I'm sure he's not a bad guy," Pema said. After a good solid hour they finished their meals all the while, Terraspin sat and waited for him to be done. Terraspin during his wait couldn't help but think what this air-bending training would be like. Though right now he had to keep an open mind, that was the first step to learning. The sliding door shut and closed gained his attention. Master Tenzin walking calm to Terraspin. The young teen's eyes widened right now this was his master and knowing most bending masters would want respect, He quickly moved to his knees and bowed to Tenzin.

"Thank you, Master Tenzin, I hope to learn from your great teaching and will do my best," Terraspin said sounding like a student.

Tenzin was shocked to see such humble nature, he was honored but quickly figured that the problem with Terraspin wind was a personal matter. Down to follow orders without question, a trait not favored among air benders. Tenzin in a gentle manner lifted one of Terraspin's fins, helping him to his feet. Terraspin was welcomed with a warm smile.

"Terraspin, I'm not your master, I'm here to help you now follow me," Tenzin said walking down a stone path. Terraspin trailed behind Tenzin wanting to not lose him. This island had a lush full forest and a lovely site.

"Okay be sturdy and listen, don't make a mistake!" Terraspin thought. The path leads into a groove of trees. Terraspin found the idea of this place to be beautiful. Though following Master Tenzin seemed to be proving more difficult. This path had many twisted turns and dead ends. They kept walking finding this place to be a maze. After a couple of minutes, Terraspin wondered when the training was going to begin.

"Tenzin when does the training start?" He asked unsure what was happing here. Tenzin's pace moved faster and he glanced over his shoulder.

"It's already begun," Tenzin said. "The first lesson is this, when you are lost, the wind can guide you without destruction, then you'll understand the choice,"

Tenzin hovered across the stone path, air benders were known to be legendary fast, using the wind to run like the wind.

So Terraspin sped up his pace, this form was not fast and he could see Tenzin was already gone. He tried to track his path but the man left no trace. Terraspin found a fork in the road, he used his logic and went right but was met with a dead end.

"Okay, not this way!" Terraspin thought, deciding to go the other way. Though that path leads to another dead end. Hapinging again and again with no effort of hope.

"Aw what the heck, Is this a mase," He thought in frustration. Trying to find a new path he ran back but couldn't remember what path he took, and soon faced with another dead end. Terraspin felt panicky and ran more into the woods, the sky was shrouded in branches, while the bamboo was making it hard for him to move. He kept running until he stopped seeing this was leading nowhere. He was trapped but didn't want to be destroyed.

Terraspin was trapped in Forrest surrounded by walls and the hard stone ground he could see no light at the end. In a moment of terror, His mind flashed to that moment of pain. The alleyway to where he lost his mother. That cold feeling of nothing while being trapped. All this power yet he did not want to destroy. His fin gripped his head in panic.

"What do I do?," He thought holding his head. It was confusing he wouldn't use his wind, which could destroy the whole island. Terraspin needed to calm down and sat on the stone path. He thought of what Master Tenzin said. Remembering the words he bestowed upon him.

"Let the wind guide you, okay should be easier than that," He closed his and felt the breeze. Though that was all he could feel. He thought he was doing it wrong and that he was already failing. Terraspin didn't give up though and took a deep breath.

"Follow the wind," He said, nothing happened. Slowing down his perception only focusing on one thing. The wind was the key, Then he could feel something different as the wind passed through the holes in his chest. Having hope he took another deep breath.

"Follow the wind," He said one more time. In that moment he could feel the different winds hitting him. Some of the breezes were stronger and others weaker, though for now, he let the stronger wind take the lead. Terraspin carefully opened his eyes, still having that feeling. He calmly walked and realized there was no one exit but multiple as he started to feel more winds hit him. This feeling of knowing he could go anywhere was gratifying.

There were no cages only paths that lead to different ways. The wind was giving him endless choices and he had to make them. Slowly walked on a stone path he has never seen and at the end, it led to an open area where Master Tenzin, behind him elevated by stone, were hundreds of giant fans that stood in the ground. They all had the bright blue air-benders symbol on them but these giant fans were very worn down.

Tenzin smiled seeing how Terraspin found his way through the forest so quickly. "I'm glad you found your way and it appears your natural," Tenzin said with a hint of pride. That exercise took him years to master but it shouldn't be a problem for a spirit.

"What's that?" Terraspin asked. Tenzin smiled and stood in front of it.

"This is how I will teach you your next lesson, Air is the element of freedom, you must detach yourself from world concern, I have noticed you act more like earth bender when we first meet, You are strong and enduring but you lack detachment," Tenzin said.

"Detachment, like being an airhead," Terraspin said. Though quickly covered his fin realizing how rude that sounded. Tenzin laughed it was an innocent comment.

"This ancient relic shall teach you, to detach your worry," Tenzin said. He could see the worry in Terraspin's eye and gave a calm gaze. "You'll float like a leaf,"

He pushed a giant gush of air that made the fans spin rapidly making it an area of fast winds. Tenzin threw the leaf into the fans. Terraspin watched as the leaf was thrown around by the fans, but still remind on its path landing on the other side. Terraspin's mouth dropped at what he had to do, not to mention he didn't think his body could fit past the fans.

"The goal is to weave through to the other side, learning a key fact to air bending," Tenzin said. The air-bending master could see how intimidated, Tenzin put a comforting hand on the turtle's shoulder.

"I don't know about this, I'm slow, uh what are the steps to this?" He asked almost trying to give himself a reason not to go in. Tenzin shook his head the Terraspin.

"Even if you were giant you could still get through this, don't focus on the negative, focus on what is inside," Tenzin said. Terraspin gave a nod and slowly walked forward at the spinning fans. He began to study the space in between the fans. He thought moving fast, would be the key. Taking his chance he quickly ran, but stopped seeing that path was gone. Terraspin looked around trying to figure out a path.

"Maybe that way, No it's blocked maybe uh this way no it's blocked," Terraspin thought but before he could move into the fans. They slowed down as the wind they carried was gone. His chance is gone.

"Aw, man!" Terraspin said.

"That's alright let's try it again," Tenzin said forcing the pam of air to make the fans spin again. Terraspin took a nervous gulp. Tenzin wanted to say something but knew at this point, the spirit had to make its own choice. A helped answer is not a free one.

"How do you do it?" Terraspin asked. Tenzin was surprised by the question.

"Do what?" Tenzin asked.

"How do you control this inner tornado, how do you not fear destroying a building just with a

sneeze or waving your hand destroying a forest, So how are you not afraid?" Terraspin asked with a hint of self rage in his voice. Tenzin shook his head at the answer but before he could answer another spoke up.

"Every element has a darker side," Terraspin recognized that voice and his heart skipped a beat slowly turning around. On the other side of the stone courtyard stood Lin, Ube's mother who held a strict tone of voice. Tenzin was glad to see his friend was here and thankful not backed up by the police force. Her gaze was locked onto Terraspin with a studying gaze and gave a soft scoff.

"Relax greeny, I can't arrest a spirit no matter how hard I try, I have to talk with Tenzin here," Lin said. Terraspin felt a bit nervous to speak. Seeing Lin walk by Tenzin's side having her arms crossed.

"I can't believe you're training one, especially one so tubby, So what's this one crazy name?" Lin asked. Tenzin smacked his forehead at the comment. In truth, he wanted to bring Lin here for extra protection or damage control in case this spirit turned rouge. He tried to reach out to lord Zuko but failed due to how busy he was.

"Hey, It's Terraspin and I'm big-boned!" Terraspin answer back but quickly winced talking back to his mom. He knew fully well that his identity was safe but still wasn't a fan of talking back, though he did like going against rules slightly. Lin shook her head a the comment. "This spirit was new, it seems more were always popping up in this city, The spirits were not in any real trouble but this vigilante behavior made her work more troublesome," Lin thought. Tenzin wanted to answer Terraspin's question.

"Lin here has a point with elements, Though all of them can be used for good, others can be used for destruction at the end of the day it's up to you to choose what path," Tenzin said. Lin gave nodded she had witnessed hundreds of benders who have amazing gifts turn to crime. If she was going to be able to teach one of these spirits to be careful she could do it now.

"Hey Terraspin, Water can drown, the earth can be buried, the air can suffocate, and fire burns. Only your hand can change that," Lin said.

Terraspin closed his eyes and put his fins together. There was no stance or no steps he had to take, to complete this task. In the light of truth, it was up to him to make that choice.

"Let that freedom flow, you are not a tornado, you are a calm gentle breeze," Terraspin thought. He took a step forward and allowed that freedom to kick in. Terraspin would use his discipline to make a choice. Falling into the wind he took his first step into fans. Terraspin calmly dodged the first fan and the other feeling the wind push and guide his large body through this narrow path. It was strange on the outside it looked to be very tight, but to Terraspin he felt as if he dwelled in a great space. Where there were no walls or floors only the wind that passed inside him. Having no fear in his movements Terraspin discovered how light he could make himself and leaped up past the fan doing a majestic back flip. The following of his body began to make his hole shoot wind but instead of panic, that entered his mind it came to a halt.

"I'm am steady gentle wind~," Terraspin thought as he walked to the other side of the fans, finally reaching his destination. He looked down at the ground and picked up the leaf Tenzin threw on the other side.

Tenzin eyes widen as Terraspin danced so easily into the fans and was now finally done. Tenzin was at a loss for words never had he seen such a display of pure air. It took him months to get it right in his younger years to perfect the fans, now this humble being only did it in a day. Though he could truly say he saw a master air bender.

Lin was stunned at the movements seeing a mixture of power and calm. A balance of emotions. Terraspin gently put the leaf down and walked to the center of the courtyard, he turned to face the two.

"You two might wanna back up, This might get a little out of hand," Terraspin warned. The two did as they were told. Though Lin held a steady gaze in confusion. Terraspin gazed at Tenzin with a kind smile.

"Thank you," Terraspin said.

Terraspin let the lessons that were taught to him, sink into his mind. To him, this was it to control the wind. Terraspin's body limps stood still like blades. Then before he could fall the fin started to move fast as they picked up great wind lifting him off the ground as strong winds shoot out of his holes. Now hovering with ease he smiled and let all that air move faster.

"Time for the big one," Terraspin thought. His fins started to move faster and stronger. Tenzin and Lin watched as the cloud above moved. Then in seconds, a giant green tornado appeared before them, dwarfing the island in height. Tenzin feard for worse only to see the great force of nature not move an inch. The winds quickly died down and the tornado vanish. Terraspin could be seen flying away into the clouds out of site. Tenzin and Lin were both lost for words.

They stood in awe but Lin broke the silence.

"You know that turtle just ditched you, right?" Lin said nonchalantly. She was here to ask some questions but these spirits had been avoiding her like the plague. In all honesty, she had bigger things to worry about with a new crime boss. Making moves in the city. Tenzin stared at the clouds thinking how he helped another find their wind. He wonder what his father would think of him now, helping a spirit, find their freedom again. Though in truth if he really wanted to help, he was gonna have to help those non-bender ghettos it appeared that they may be connected by the spirits.

"Lin, the only clue I have is about those non-bender ghettos, these spirits just want those people to have a better life," Tenzin said.

"That's gonna be pretty hard when the army is on its way,' Lin commented. Tenzin nodded and walked back to his house.

"Yes, yes it is," Even though trails were ahead, Tenzin could see he had the right tools to bring the avatar here to the republic city. After her fire bending test, when he would visit, then he would bring her along to mater air bending. He could feel times were changing it was time for planning.

Terraspin flew high above the sky, knowing to dodge the blimp's path but fast enough to stay out of eyes. He felt so happy to understand his wind. To fly and be free, thinking it was wonderful. Ube was always down on the ground now high in the air. Living life the best he could. He could see his apartment bundling down below. Terraspin calmly landed on the top of the roof being gentle like a feather, not even making a thud as his feet touched the ground.

Terraspin had one final thing to take care of, He gently used both his fins, instead of one and carefully turned the dial of Omnitrix as he heard a click. The Omnitrix beeped and great relief fell upon his shoulders after hearing the next words.

"DNA lock disengaged." The Omnitirx said.

Ube was enveloped in a red light. As he opened his eyes again to see he was in his original form. His human one to be exact. Ube slapped his hands together in excitement. He was back to his normal state. He grabbed his chest and smiled.

"Back to my normal self," He said. Though after everything that happened today, sleeping in his bed sounded to be the perfect way to end it. Without a care in the world letting that inner teen take over, he opened the door to the roof and ran downstairs to the apartment. Seeing heaven right in front of him, he pulled the key from his pocket and unlocked the door. His walking now truing into slow shambling to the couch collapsed on his new bed for the next hours. He was exhausted from today, honing his instinct. Later though Ube thought he would apply all he learned to today with his aliens. The right thing to do but right now it was time for rest.

"I'm not getting off this for no reason," Ube mumbled. In his moment of great bliss, it was cut short by the sound of a knocking at the door. His eyes snapped open with irritation. Slowly he got up but the knocking became frantic.

"I'm coming," Ube said hoping his voice reached the other person at the door. The knocking turned into loud banging. Ube let out a frustrated growl and opened the door. Ube thought this was a salesman trying to show his wacky gadget, that cost a fortune.

"I swear I'm not buying a…" Ube trailed off into silence seeing not a salesman but a girl, wearing a dark green tunic that cut off to her waist, dark green nomadic rope under her first tunic, and a silver outline on the collar, it looked to be real metal. She wore large silver bracelets on both her wrist. She had sunkissed skin and was Earth nation. Her light green eyes reminded him of someone. Her dark hair reached to her ears and the ends were a bit messy. By her side was a suitcase and she had a worried expression on her face, seeing Ube like he was the wrong person.

"Sorry I must have the wrong address, I'm looking for a woman named Lin Beifong, do you know if she is in this building," She asked in a kind tone of voice. The way she spoke she seemed so fresh off the boat, she clearly was a visitor from out of town. Ube raised an eyebrow at the young lady.

"What do you want with my mom?" Ube asked.

The young girl's eyes widen and a gentle smile appeared on her face, she cleared her throat and stood straight. She extended her hand outward.

"Hi I'm Opal Beifong, I'm your cousin!" She said with enthusiasm. Ube eyes widened as his world was blown away at this very moment.
