Long time no write. I had some ambition to write. So, here we go. In this story, I am using the supernatural themed genre. Gibbs is an immortal fairy that can use magic. There are multiple others in this universe, and it is known in this universe that there are fairies. I have always loved the idea of fairies and magic and wanted to give it a go. So, let's jump right in.

Disclaimer: I own nothing of NCIS and its characters.

Gibbs rubbed his eyes as he woke up from a quiet night of sleep. His sleep powder finally did him in around midnight. He yawned and stretched as he turned to sit on the edge of the bed. The alarm clock next to his bed began to ring loudly. It's six o'clock, he thought as a quick snap of his fingers turned off the alarm. Gibbs arched his back forward and felt his silverish wings flap and stretch softly. Rolling his shoulders and standing, he shook a little and felt his wings retract back into his shoulder blades. He stood and walked to the bathroom to shower and get ready for his day. He looked in the mirror and studied his features. His bright blue eyes with silver rims shone in the low light and his skin was soft but had a little stubble along his jaw and chin. His hair, silver and getting long, began to cover his ears that had a slight point at the end. Nothing noticeable but noticeable enough if you stared long enough. Gibbs sighed and turned the shower water on and stripped off his pajama pants and boxers. As he was getting ready, he thought of the day ahead. There were no cases that were needing to be solved yet; his agents McGee and Dinozzo were probably still sleeping. He smiled softly at the thought of Tony. There was something different about him, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He thought maybe he was a fairy too, but he never gave any indication at work. McGee wasn't a fairy, but was trained in all things fairy; medical, physical, and emotional. He didn't know about Gibbs being a fairy, and Gibbs planned to keep it that way. He didn't want either member of his team to know, mostly because they were a near dying species. There was a group of humans that were hunting the fairies down and killing them while they were young. Only very few were immortal like Gibbs, and they were in hiding. They were tortured, sliced, and had their wings plucked, the first few that were found. Gibbs made sure to never reveal his identity about it. It would be painful as breaking a leg and an arm at the same time. The water in the shower got cold and Gibbs shivered. He flicked his finger and turned the water off as well as open the curtain. He summoned his towel and wrapped it around his waist as he stepped out. Time to get ready for work, he thought.

Gibbs walked into the bullpen of NCIS and saw that McGee was at his desk, but Tony was not. He furrowed his brow and looked to McGee who shrugged. Gibbs nodded and sat down at his computer. He phone began to ring and he grabbed it. "Gibbs," he replied.

"Hey, Gibbs, I am on my way in soon. My alarm went off late and I forgot to grab my keys, so I am headed back up to the apartment to grab them," Tony said on the other end frantically. Gibbs pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.

"Just hurry up, Dinozzo, get here ASAP." Gibbs closed his phone with a snap and stood up. "I'll be right back. Going to see Vance," Gibbs said as he passed by McGee. Up the stairs and towards the office, he smiled at the receptionist. She nodded and let Vance know that Gibbs was coming in. Vance stood in his office behind his desk and nodded at Gibbs.

"Special Agent Gibbs, good timing. Was just about to call you up here," Vance stated as he sat down. Gibbs pulled out a chair and sat down across from him. He took note of Vance's tense shoulders. He furrowed his brow softly.

"What's going on, Vance?" Gibbs asked as he leaned forward. Vance sighed softly and leaned against his desk.

"We have word that there is a serial killer on the loose killing fairies. Intel was from Fornell," Vance started off and Gibbs dropped his head into his hands and rubbed his face.

"Vance, I'm not going into hiding. You know this. Which one is it? There were two that hadn't been found last I checked. Verole and Gnash," Gibbs stiffly replied. Vance looked into Gibbs' eyes and nodded.

"They're working together, both of them. We haven't been able to track them but we know that they are in the area. Both of them have a long list of names they've murdered and want to murder. I'm not gonna lose my best agent," Vance stated. He stood slowly and walked around his desk to sit beside Gibbs and face. "Their most recent was an immortal. They pulled off her wings, sliced her skin." Gibbs felt a lump in his throat as Vance continued. He was nervous. "They just found her Gibbs, she's unconscious at the hospital. The doctors have her in a coma until the pain subsides and her wounds are healed. She'll be out for weeks." Gibbs sighed softly and rubbed his neck; a nervous tick of his. His magic and his wings were his life. He couldn't and wouldn't lose them.

"Where was she found?" Gibbs asked softly. Vance leaned over and grabbed the file from his desk. He handed it to Gibbs. "This everything on her?" Vance nodded. "Alright, my team and I will try to find them."

"You will be in protective custody, Agent Gibbs. You won't be working this case," Vance ordered. Gibbs threw the file down on the desk and stood up angrily.

"How can you bring this case to my attention and then order me to stay away from it?! I can't just hide and sit back knowing these bastards are on the loose! If you didn't want me handling the case then why the hell did you tell me about it?!" Gibbs yelled. Vance looked down at the file and handed it back to Gibbs.

"I don't want you working it, because I want you to be the bait to find these bastards," Vance explained. Gibbs stood back in shock and sat down after a minute. He looked into Vance's face in disbelief.

"As bait?" Gibbs asked calmly. Vance nodded. "You got some explaining to do." Gibbs voice was soft and low.

"Gnash and Verole took the last immortal fairy when she was in her home, cleaning. She didn't know what was happening until it was too late. They snatched her, drugged her, and took her. She was found near the docks at Wharf Marina. Her wings were gone, her face and arms were cut up. She was barely breathing, but she was still alive due to her immortality," Vance explained. Gibbs nodded and looked through the file on her. Her name was MaryEllen Destin. She was older, in her 50's but had stopped aging. She was a fire fairy. She was able to spit and throw fire when she wanted. She kept the homeless warm at night and lit the way for others in the dark, especially women at night. Gibbs continued to read the file and got as much as he could before he felt sick looking at her wounds. There was silence in the office for a few minutes as he read. Vance cleared his throat softly. "We want to use you as bait because of your survival skills, military skills, and fairy magic. We need to know why these men have been taking fairies and cutting their wings off, draining them of their magic and abilities. We believe that these traits of yours will help us take them down. We want to have agents at your house 24/7, but that is a red flag, which is why we know they will attack you with the guards there," Vance explained. Gibbs set the file on Vance's desk once more and stood up. "I know, you don't want your agents to know about your magic, but this is now or never. Gnash and Verole are in the area. They are the ones that we need to take down to keep your kind safe again, Gibbs."

"I know," Gibbs muttered. He paced the office a few times, thinking about this situation. What was he to do? Was he supposed to let his agents know? Would he say no and let these two bastards on the loose more? Gibbs groaned softly and turned to Vance. "Okay. I'll do it, but you need to give me time with my team to discuss this," Gibbs ordered. Vance nodded.

"Take the day, talk to Dr. Mallard and Ms. Scuito as well. They will be read in," Vance replied as he sat at his desk. Gibbs nodded and left the office quickly. He nodded to the receptionist and walked towards the stairs with a halt. He saw Tony was at his desk finally and McGee was coming back from the bathroom. He watched his agents with a soft smile and followed the stairs down to the bullpen.

"McGee, Dinozzo, meet me down in autopsy, we have something to discuss," Gibbs said as he went to his desk. he grabbed his phone, gun, and badge. A mutual 'Okay' was heard as he walked towards the back stairs to get to Abby's lab. He took the steps two at a time and groaned quietly as he heard the goth's music from down the hall. As he walked to the doors of the lab, his ears were assaulted with the loud guitar and drum notes from her song. He stepped over to the stereo and turned off the music. Abby turned around with a pout.

"Hey! I was listening to that!" Abby exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around Gibbs' shoulders. Gibbs sighed softly and rolled his eyes. She pulled away from their hug and smiled. "So, whatcha need, Gibbs?" Abby asked.

"I need you to come with me to autopsy. We have something to discuss with Ducky and the other two," Gibbs replied. Abby crossed her arms and studied Gibbs.

"Is someone in trouble? Is it Tony? McGee?" Abby gasped softly. "Are you dying? Are you leaving NCIS?" Abby anxiously paced. Gibbs grabbed her shoulders to steady her.

"Relax, c'mon." Gibbs pulled her arm lightly to the elevator and waited for the steel doors to open. Abby pouted softly.

"You're not leaving right?" Abby mumbled softly. Gibbs shook his head no. Abby physically relaxed and crossed her arms once more as the doors opened. Both took a quiet ride down to autopsy. The doors opened once more, and both stepped out towards the next set of doors. Ducky was sitting at his desk filling out paperwork, while McGee and Tony quietly tossed a ball back and forth. Ducky turned around and smiled at Gibbs and Abby.

"Ah, Jethro. Anthony and Timothy filled me in a little. So what are we discussing?" He rolled over towards the group next to the autopsy table. McGee, Dinozzo and Abby sat on top of the table. Gibbs blew out a breath and pulled a chair over from next to Ducky's office door. He sat down on it backwards and crossed his arms over the back of it.

"Nervous?" Abby asked quietly. Gibbs nodded. Abby bit her lip and leaned her head against McGee's shoulder.

"Vance has been notified that Gnash and Verole are in town. There is no known location yet, however there was a recent victim." Abby gasped softly and Gibbs sighed as he watched her face become more upset. She has never done well with cases about fairies, because her parents were fairies but she was not. Gibbs continued on, "Vance needs an immortal fairy, just like the latest victim, to become bait and this team is going to be protecting him." Gibbs saw the confusion in Tony and McGee's eyes. He slipped his gray suit jacket off and rolled his shoulders. He felt his shirt tear and his wings break free with a beautiful silver shimmer. His wings were lined with blue and green streaks as well as silver. His eyes became more silver, and his fingers began to glow softly. The room filled with gasps and a squeal from Abby.

"Oh my God! You're an immortal fairy?!" Abby squealed as she hopped down from the table and squeezed Gibbs with a big hug. Gibbs chuckled softly and stood up with a nod.

"I kept this secret from all of you, because I didn't want you to be in danger. But now, I am being used as the bait from Gnash and Verole. They are searching for more fairies and it won't be long before they find me once they see the guards posted outside my house," Gibbs explained. He flapped his wings lightly and Abby watched in amusement as glitter fell from his wings.

"So, we are protecting you?" McGee asked. Gibbs nodded. Tony was oddly quiet and had a worried look on his face. Ducky cleared his throat and spoke up.

"So, what is everyone's role in this mission, Jethro?" There was a hint of worry in the old doctor's voice.

"Ducky, I want you to research and find out what reasons these two bastards could want with fairies. Old autopsies from different agencies and cases, see what happens after death. Abby is going to help you with that, as well as what happens with immortal fairies when our wings are snipped," Gibbs explained. Abby and Ducky both nodded and immediately got to work on the computer. Gibbs waved goodbye to Abby and Ducky and motioned for his two agents to follow.

"What about me, boss?" McGee asked. Gibbs pat his back as they continued their path to the bullpen.

"You are going to be on surveillance and digging into these two bastards' lives. I want to know everything from what their childhood dog was to now. I need BOLOs out for these two. I want their banks notified, doctors, even their mothers if need be. We are not losing these two again. Fornell knows a lot more about these two so you will be teaming up with FBI for this case, McGee," Gibbs replied. He quickly retracted his wings before they got back to the bullpen. Tony had been quiet the entire conversation, which was unusual for him. Gibbs nodded for McGee to continue to the bullpen while he pulled Tony aside next to the wall of the most wanted. "You're quiet," Gibbs pointed out. Tony nodded. "Well?"

"Well what? What do you want me to say? 'Oh my God, Gibbs, you're gonna get yourself killed,' or 'Wow you're a fairy?' because I am too and you know what? It's a little bit of a shock to me because I never would've guessed that you were and-"

"Wait, you're a fairy too?" Gibbs interrupted. Tony covered his mouth and cursed himself internally. Tony sighed softly and nodded.

"Yeah. I'm a shapeshifting fairy," Tony muttered as he leaned against the wall. "McGee and everyone else already knew," Tony explained quietly. Gibbs crossed his arms.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Gibbs asked, hurt. Tony was his best friend, and he never told him. Tony sighed and ran a shaky hand through his hair.

"I didn't want you to know because I thought you'd think faires are dumb or something, I don't know." Tony looked down to the floor and avoided looking into the beautiful blue eyes he had fantasized about multiple times. He bit his lip to avoid the soft moan slipping from his lips as he felt Gibbs' presence come closer. Gibbs gave a small smile and patted his shoulder.

"Never," Gibbs mumbled softly. "Now, you want to know your position in this mess?" Gibbs asked and Tony stood up straight. With a nod, Gibbs continued and walked towards the bullpen. "You will be my right hand man, and staying with me at all times. You're the sharpest field agent when it comes to protection, and McGee is the best with technology and digging up dirt for scumbags like these two. Vance says we have the day to prepare and get ready, so let's get set up and ready to go," Gibbs explained as he gathered the rest of his personal belongings from his desk. Tony nodded.

Here we go with Chapter 1. I think this is gonna be a good story.
