Professor Violet: Hello, Hello! A lot of you may not know me, but I am Violetthecutiegrimreaper, and I am not a Naruto person. Not even remotely. But my brother and well-known Naruto fanfic writer CaptainBluesoftheFleetingDream is. While he is starting to re-watch Naruto to reignite his love for the show and start his journey into writing again, I have been watching as well and I love it. So much so that I asked my brother for a favor. There was a fic of his, a long time ago called Blue-Eyed Avarice that meant the world to him. and after reading it, I realized that I liked it. So, I decided that I would take it off his hands, with his permission of course.

With that said, this is my introduction to Naruto fanfic world. One I feel has a lot of potential and one I don't think he should have stopped. I hope everyone enjoys because I have a lot of plans for Blue-Eyed Avarice. So sit back, relax and enjoy this new, and famialir tale.

Name Blue-Eyed Avarice

Summary: "I wish I had noble goals for wanting to become the Hokage but truthfully, the Power, Fortune, Fame, Adoration, and Respect the Hokage gets? As Savior of Konoha, I'm only claiming what is rightfully mine and I will have it." Because of the Kyūbi, Naruto was robbed of everything but with the help of the Kyūbi, Naruto the Avaricious will gain everything or die trying. Naruto/Harem

Pairings: Naruto/Harem and many other pairings outside of this harem.

Genre: Action, Adventure, Humor, Romance.

Rating: M for Mature

WARNING:

1. So right now, I did tweak the ages. Naruto and gang will enter the academy at twelve years old and leave the academy at age sixteen but the canon events (such as Wave for example) will not happen until Naruto he's out of the academy. While I do not usually mind the canon ages when Naruto becomes a Genin (Which is thirteen), with some of the things could happen in this fic, this would be somewhat best.

2. While I am unsure about Lemons for now, I am putting this warning up to let people know in case I do decided to do them but even if I don't, this story is a mature one all the same.

3. This will NOT be a story where the girls will be fawning over him. It will be the opposite really but that is the fun of it all.

4. This is NOT a crossover with FMA. I know the title might make it seem that way but putting this here just in case.

5. This is not an Evil!Naruto fic despite the premise. This is a more…Self-Centered, cocky and confident Naruto and that may be going against the grain when it comes normal harem fics where Naruto is the golden pure cinnamon bun but I think we can have a lot of fun with it.

6. Who will be in the harem? Hyūga Hinata, Yamanaki Ino, Ryūzetsu, Tenten, Haku, Shino, Uzuki Yūgao and a real slowburn with Fem!Kyūbi. And yes, you see that right.

7. This Naruto will be more fluid with his gender and will liberally use his both his normal look and his Naruko look for reasons that will be explained and he will be bisexual. Someone as greedy as him will want everything. Why should sex be any different?

Blue-Eyed Avarice
Setting the Stage

Outcast: A person who has been rejected by society or social group.

Naruto wished he did not know what that word meant.

He wished with everything in his heart that he also did not know the words neglect, pariah, isolation, loneliness, and emptiness. Unfortunately for Naruto, these words were the best way to describe who he was and what he felt.

He was Uzumaki Naruto, the blue-eyed phantom of Konohagakure no Sato. While he still drew breath, everyone in the village treated him as a spirit. The villagers did not go out of their way to attack him but in many ways, Naruto wished that they would.

It would at least acknowledge that he existed. That he was someone and not just…there.

And so, the ten-year-old Naruto sat at the riverbed in the forest with a homemade fishing pole in his hand, trying to catch some fish for dinner. He felt a tug on stick he held and began to pull hard until a fish popped out of the water.

Naruto smiled at his success before it dwindled into a sad frown as he watched it wiggle for dear life.

"At least you'll be free from this life…As I will never be…" Naruto whispered tearfully as the fish soon became still.

Naruto gently placed the dead fish in a small bowl then went back to fishing as he hummed a faint, melancholy tune, his only company being the fireflies and crickets around him, unable to stop the crushing thoughts that invaded his mind.

It was then he looked back at the bowl where the dead fish laid.

There was one other word that Naruto wished he did not know, and that word was death. He did not mean to learn about that word. When he ran away from the orphanage when he was a six-year old, the caretaker had yelled about how she wished he were dead.

At the time, he was focused on escaping but when he eventually learned what it meant, he was upset at the time.

But now?

He understood and, in a way, he wished it would come to him. He did not want to die but was else was there? He did not have any friends, family, or anyone to care about him and everyone treated him like a living ghost anyway.

What was the point anymore?

This was his life.

A few nights ago, he was told by the Hokage that "Compared to the vastness of the world, man's existence is very insignificant," and Naruto tried to use that to push away his problems but after today, he realized something.

Naruto realized that no matter how insignificant his life may be compared to the universe; his existence was this: He was born alone; he was going to live his life alone in a world that denied his existence and he was going to die the same way.

Naruto took a shuddered breath as he felt that his heart was breaking within his chest. He tried to ignore this feeling to continue catching his dinner but after five minutes, he could feel the tears fall from his eyes as he started to weep.

What had he done wrong?

He was just a kid and yet everyone hated him and for what?

For nothing!

Naruto's shoulder slumped, the brief rush of anger fading away to sadness once again. What was the point of getting angry?

Why bother getting angry over something that would never change? This was his life and it was not going to change. So, despite the hurt that clung to his heart, Naruto continued to fish.

Once he gathered two more fish, Naruto started a fire, skewered the fish, and allowed them to cook. As he sat there, his eyes locked on the flames, he heard someone sit beside him. Naruto turned his head and tried to offer a smile before he looked away.

"Hey Jiji," Naruto whispered softly.

"Good evening kiddo," The Sandaime Hokage said as he gingerly ruffled Naruto's head. He reached into his robes and pulled out a brown envelope. "You weren't at home, so I came to look for you. This is your monthly living expenses."

"Thanks Jiji…" Naruto murmured as the man placed the envelope in front of him.

It was quiet for a moment, just the sound of the fire filling the area."So um…I heard you painted the town red today," The Sandaime said with a chortle but Naruto did not join in. Instead, he continued to stare at the flames.

"Everyone hates me…" Naruto told him softly, his voice barely going above the sound of the crackling fire in front of him. "Jiji…Why don't I have a mom or dad?"

The Hokage let out a soft sigh and replied "I thought I told when you asked this a year ago…Well. It happened some time ag-"

"That's not what I want to hear," Naruto interrupted as he looked to him, his ocean blue eyes sparkling with fresh tears. "You're talking about when the Kyūbi attacked and killed everyone. That's not what I want to know."

"Then what do you wish to know kiddo?" Sandaime asked him.

Naruto looked down and allowed the tears to fall freely once more. "I-I want to know…who were they? What kind of people were they? Did they love me? Did they even want me?"

Naruto heard the older man stand up with a sigh before he said "There's no use asking about that. It won't bring the dead back…"

"But Jiji!" Naruto exclaimed as he stood up only for the man to vanish in a swirl of leaves. Naruto's shoulders slumped before he sat back down and began to weep loudly.

Deep in gilded cell, a singular crimson eye opened as the echoes of Naruto's sobbing was heard before it narrowed in annoyance. "Again?" The voice questioned with a low, feminine voice.

This was the tenth time this week where she was awakened by this incessant crying.

"Enough of this foolishness…" She muttered. It was bad enough that she was sealed in this child with these bindings holding her back physically and spiritually, but she would be damned if she had to hear him cry again.

The figure took a deep breath before its eyes began to glow a bright crimson. The cries quickly ceased and moments later, a splash was heard outside of her prison.

Naruto did not know what happened.

One moment, he was in the forest and the next, he was in this…Where was this?

Naruto looked around until he found himself looking at the gilded cage where he saw the a single crimson eye glaring at him through the dark. "Um…Hi," Naruto said with a hesitant wave.

The figure narrowed their eyes. "It's bad enough I'm stuck in here, but your nonstop crying keeps waking me up. I'm trying to gather enough chakra"

"Oh, I'm sorry Nee-chan," Naruto apologized with a bow. "I didn't mean to, honest!"

The eye closed for a moment then reopened. "It's okay…" The hidden figure replied.

Naruto nodded before he approached the cage and as he did, he was treated to the sight of a dark-skinned woman who sat against the far end wall across from the gilded cell bars, with her left leg propped up while her right leg rested beneath it.

The woman herself had medium length hair that rested at the top of her back and spilled in front of her face, where the ends seemed to slightly braided. The color of her hair was primarily black in color, but the ending strands slowly faded into bright red.

From what Naruto could see, this woman had a tattered black cloak around her body but there was enough for Naruto to realize she was slim but muscular as well. What concerned him was that bright gold chains wrapped around her torso and two golden spears piercing through her right shoulder and left hip and through the wall, along with gold kunai embedded on various parts of her body.

He also noticed that while her bangs covered the left side of her face, he could see that she had tattered black wrapping around her left eye while her crimson colored eyes stared at him. Finally, Naruto glanced behind her and saw nine tails pinned high against the wall where nine golden katana stabbed into them.

The woman was exceptionally beautiful to Naruto's eyes, but he could sense the anger and bitterness flowing from her being. "Nee-chan…Are you okay? Do those hurt?" Naruto asked her.

"Does it look like I'm fine?" the woman growled out. Naruto stepped back in fear, which caused the woman to sigh. Naruto watched the eye soften slightly before it hardened once again before she answered with "Forgive my annoyance…I am just not used to these sorts of…accommodations…"

"Who are you?" Naruto asked.

"Who I am isn't important," the woman responded. "But I summoned you here because of your crying. Tell me, why do you cry?"

"I…I…" Naruto stammered before he shamefully looked down. "I'm tired of being alone…I was born alone…I've been alone…And I'm quite sure I'll die alone…But I don't even know why everyone hates me! They just do…And I'm sick and tired of it! I'm not a ghost! I'm a real person!"

The woman remained silent, but Naruto could sense that she was sympathetic to his feelings of abandonment and neglect. How he sensed this, he did not know but he could. "I asked Jiji…Um, he's the Hokage, who my parents were because after my prank, I saw a family and wanted to know something…anything but he just left me…"

"I can see why!" The woman barked suddenly. "Look at you! You are weak. You are crying every day about people who do not and will not care about you. Why waste your tears on them?"

Naruto remained silent.

"You know what people respect? Power. Not this simpering child bullshit," The woman continued. "You said you spoke to the Hokage right? Have you seen how people treat him?"

Naruto narrowed his eyes as he focused on his memories of anytime someone interacted with the Hokage while he was around him. He managed to find a lot of examples, where he noticed some key things. They bowed to him, they always deferred to him when he casted his judgement and most of all, everyone loved him.

Everyone respected him.

"Power and Respect," Naruto said softly.

"Let me tell you something. During my time before I got locked away in here, I had the Five Basics when it comes to life. Fortune, Power, Fame, Respect and Adoration of everyone. I had everything until it was ripped from me, but even though its all gone, I did not cry, nor did I give up in trying to seek it again. I will keep climbing and do all that I can until I can claim what is rightfully mine once again. You want to stop being alone? You need to do the same," The woman told him with a firm tone.

Naruto stared at her long and hard before he asked her "You said you had all of those things, right? Can you help me get that stuff too?"

The women gazed at him before she chuckled lowly, which then changed into a loud laugh all while Naruto looked on in confusion. "What make you think I'll help you when it was your kind that trapped me here?" She questioned.

"My kind?" Naruto asked softly.

"Yes. You humans…" She hissed out angrily.

"Humans…Aren't you a human?" Naruto asked.

"I am no human," The woman responded with malice seeping from her body. "I am the Mighty Kyūbi no-" Kyūbi let out a scream as platinum gold lightning shocked her body before her head slumped down, smoke rising from her body.

Naruto was horrified.

He had stood and talked the Kyūbi no Kitsune?!

But how was that possible? The Yondaime defeated the demon. "T-That can't be…" Naruto stammered out fearfully as Kyūbi panted softly and gazed up at Naruto, her eye weakened from the powerful attack that happened to her moments before.

"That idiot Yondaime and my previous container…Could not beat me…So he sealed me away again…" The Kyūbi panted out. "And guess where they sealed me? Inside of their precious little boy…"

Naruto stared at her in disbelief before he glanced down at the floor where he saw that his ankles were submerged in water, his mind putting together the pieces. The Kyūbi said that the Yondaime and her previous container could not defeat her, so she was sealed away into their son?

But if they sealed her away, how was he…

As if lightning struck his chest, Naruto realized the answer. "Me…They sealed you in me…." Naruto slowly said as he looked at her. "I…I'm the son of the Yondaime…And of your previous container?"

"And they say kids don't have a brain," She whispered harshly.

At first, Naruto wanted to deny this.

There was no way he was the Yondaime's son. The entire village would be treating him like a hero instead of like the ghost they made him be…right? But he could sense the truth from Kyūbi when she said these words and it only caused Naruto to shake in rage.

"I am the Yondaime's son…" Naruto repeated. "And yet I was treated like this?"

From the corner of his eye, he saw Kyūbi's head perk up slightly.

"The Yondaime sealed you in me. I should be a hero and yet I am treated like garbage. Like I'm nothing…" Naruto continued. "Hokage-Jiji…When I asked him, he said there was no point in bringing it up. He must know…So why didn't he tell me? Why did he let everyone treat me so terrible?"

"And how does that make you feel?" Kyūbi asked with curiosity.

"Mad…Madder than I've ever been in my life," Naruto answered as he started to breath faster, his fist clenched, and his teeth bared.

"Mad enough to destroy Konoha?" Kyūbi questioned.

Naruto wanted to say yes. He wanted to kill Konoha but then he stopped and recalled her previous words.

The five basics of life…

It was then he decided to calm down to an almost eerie degree.

"For as long as I can remember, Konoha has treated me like I'm less than nothing when the Yondaime…My father and my mother, sacrificed their lives to seal you into me…They saved Konoha and this is how they treat me?"

Naruto let out a low chuckle which then grew into a loud laugh, like the crazed one Kyūbi had given moments before, which caused Kyūbi to stare at him in surprise but there was a small grin on her face.

Naruto calmed down and let out a small sigh and a smirk. "It's like you said…Fortune, Power, Fame, Respect and Adoration. But while you earned them, these things are supposed to be mine…" Naruto told his prisoner as he looked to her with the widest grin. "I won't destroy Konoha because despite them deserving it, every single life in Konoha owes me a debt…" Naruto responded.

"It is time I stop crying and start claiming what is mine," Naruto said before he walked in front of the cage and said, "And that is everything in Konoha and the only way to get that…Is to become the very thing my father became and that is Hokage."

Kyūbi tilted her head thoughtfully as a small smirk began to form on her face. "So…That's your plan…" She uttered as she chuckled loudly. "This is quite interesting, but I doubt things will go well if you go out of here and claim you're the Yondaime's son. You could potentially get killed for treason…You should play it close to the chest."

"You're right. I need to keep this a secret…" Naruto said thoughtfully before he looked to Kyūbi. "And I know that I will need power, something you have in abundance…"

"That I do," Kyūbi confirmed as she leaned forward as best as she could, her smirk growing ever-so wider.

"Then help me. Give me the power I need to claim Konoha as my own!" Naruto shouted.

"Oh this is truly rich!" Kyūbi exclaimed with a laugh. "What could possible offer me other than freedom? And before you answer, what helped your mother's death was me being freed from her seal…"

"The way I see it," Naruto began. "You're sealed in me and it's because of you that I have this claim to Konoha which means Konoha is as much as yours as it is mine," Naruto countered.

Kyūbi eyed him carefully.

"You help me get the power I need; I'll do everything I can to grasp what is ours and if possible, we can even figure out find a way to free you without killing me," Naruto told her.

"How ambitious. Making a deal with a demon. If I accept, you better not back out of it," Kyūbi said.

"I am the savior of Konoha itself," Naruto said confidently. "My parents died to give me that title. I accept anything and everything you can throw me at. I need to claim what is rightfully ours. So what do you say? Partners?"

The Kyūbi eyed him down, as if she were weighing his words before she noted "Those blues eyes shine with deviousness and avarice…" She then grinned and added "The same thing that helped me grasp all that sought before that Uchiha ripped it all from me…Let us add one more thing."

Naruto narrowed his eyes thoughtfully, awaiting her condition.

"Your mother, Kushina, she was a kind woman and she was like a sister to me. Before I ripped from your mother, we were looking for a way to free me without killing her," Kyūbi explained, her voice taking a softer tone when referring to his mother before it returned to the low, rough tone that it had been since he arrived.

"But right when we were at the cusp, she went into labor and was soon attacked by an Uchiha who took me under control. I would not be in this position if not for the Uchiha that ripped me out from Kushina's body...I do not want Konoha. That is yours and yours alone. What I want is freedom and If we cannot find a way to free me from this seal without you dying then you hunt the Uchiha down and kill him in my stead. If you accept that, then I will gladly assist you in claiming Konoha," Kyūbi finished.

"I accept," Naruto said.

"Then I accept as well…Partner…" Kyūbi responded., "On my honor as a bijū, I will help you claim Konoha."

"And on my honor, I will help you become free and/or hunt down the bastard that put us in this position…" Naruto responded. "But…can I add one more thing?" Naruto asked, his tone become soft. "Well, it's more of request but um…Can you tell me more about my parents?"

Kyūbi's eyes softened as well and for a moment, Naruto watched a small smile appear on her face before she smirked.

"Help me get these blasted weapons out of my body and I will be happy too."

"So, how do I get those weapons and chains off of you?" Naruto asked the Kyūbi curiously before he asked "Come to think of it, how did you get those weapons in you anyways?"

"So the cell itself is the seal that traps me within you. These weapons however belong to your mother," Kyūbi told him.

"Whoa…My mom did this? How?" Naruto asked her.

"Every Uzumaki had that ability to access these chains. They are known as the Kongō Fūsa (Adamantine Sealing Chains). These chains are made out of their own chakra which can be produced anywhere the usuer's chakra resides. These chains are mostly used to wrap and contain a powerful opponent. These things are so durable that I couldn't/can't break out of them and in addition to binding me down, these things are binding my chakra as well, leaving me unable to use it" Kyūbi explained with a bitter sight. "But your mother was able to expand on this more than any Uzumaki I had been sealed in…She was able to create barrier with these chains, shields to protect her allies and even the weapons that are stabbed into me…"

"Whoa…Mom was pretty badass," Naruto breathed out before he said to the trapped woman. "So any Uzumaki could do this then? Which means I can as well…So maybe I can use this ability to free you of the weapons and chains that bind you?"

"You should be able to being an Uzumaki…" Kyūbi answered.

Naruto nodded and frowned a bit. "But how I wonder?" He asked, more to himself than to the trapped woman in the cell. After ten minutes of thinking, Naruto said "Well, I can't think of anything so might as well try it the old fashioned way," before he walked to the cell but when he attempted to go through the bars, he was shocked with platinum-gold electricity.

"Ow! That hurt!" Naruto winced out.

"A defense mechanism to protect you," Kyūbi explained immediately with her eye shut closed. "Smart actually…For if we weren't on good terms, you would be easy to snatch and kill…."

"I see…" Naruto groaned out as he leaned up off the ground.

"Perhaps we should wait on freeing me from these bindings…" Kyūbi told him softly.

"No way, you're going to help me yeah? That means I need you to be free of the bindings at least," Naruto responded as he scowled and began to focus on the chain and weapons. "I am my mother's son and an Uzumaki. That should mean that I'm able to…"

Naruto gritted his teeth and held out his hand began to focus. For a moment, nothing happened and Naruto was quickly losing hope but he shook his head and began to focus more. The Kyūbi was his key to claiming what was rightfully his and there was no way he was going to allow the key to his kingdom to waste away in chains!

It was then he felt something deep in his chest. It was as if something was being pulled out of him. He looked down to see the edge of a platinum-gold chain-link. He smirked and looked up at Kyūbi, who looked up at him with her singular ruby red eye and he said "Brace yourself, I'm going to try and pull these off…But when I do, don't try to kill me, okay?"

Kyūbi snorted but remained silent.

Naruto nodded with a sharp growl, sixteen strands of chains flew from his chest and through the cell bars and attached itself to the weapons and chains that bound his new partner. The moment his chains touched the chains and weapons that were embedded in the Kyūbi, all of the weapons began to shine brightly.

"Snagged and now time to bag," Naruto taunted as he began to focus and with a sharp tug, the various weapons and chains that kept Kyūbi trapped was pulled out of her, which caused pale-gold electricity to shoot up her body as she screamed in agony.

The weapons and chains shot out through the cell bars and slipped into his chest at top speed, which caused a burst of platinum-gold lightning to streak across his chest as he was taken off his feet and onto his back.

Naruto slowly leaned up and rubbed his chest in discomfort before he looked at the prison cell Kyūbi was in and stood up and walked to the cage and said "Kyūbi, are you alright in there?"

It was silent for a moment as Kyūbi laid there, streaks of lightning going across her body at random intervals. She finally began to stand up only to feel on one knee, her breathing deep and shaky. "I'm okay," she panted out. "I need rest to recuperate. Being bound for all these years by Kushina's sealing weapons and chains have weakened me substantially…"

Naruto nodded with concern in his eyes.

The Kyūbi shrugged off his concern with a faint chuckle and said "Relax. The "Key" to your "Kingdom" is still okay. I just need a day or two."

Naruto smirked and asked "So, how do I get out of here so you can rest?"

Kyūbi stared at him for a moment and told him "This is your mindscape Naruto. You just need to focus on waking up."

"So that's what this is? Well fuck me, its hideous looking. Remind me to change this first chance I ge-" A pulse of pain in his chest halted Naruto's words.

"Naruto?" Kyūbi questioned.

"Yeah, I think I'm fi-" Naruto was cruelly interrupted when another pulse of pain stopped him from talking. It was then he saw black and gold electricity streak across his chest and a harder pulse caused him to fall onto his knees.

"What is?" Naruto barely got out as his vision began to blur.

"I sense my chakra within you battling against your own…" Kyūbi whispered before her eyes widened in realization. "Those weapons…They must have absorbed quite a bit of my chakra due to the many years they've been embedded into me."

"W-What does-" Naruto let out a scream of agony as more pain blossomed in his chest.

"Your body could be experiencing one of two things. One, it's fighting to absorb the demonic essence that those weapons held or because of my essence, you could be going through chakra poisoning which can be very fatal…" Kyūbi explained softly.

"I-It doesn't matter what it is," Naruto said through gritted teeth. "I'm not dying here…I have a king-AH!-dom to claim!" Naruto then let out a sharp scream as black and blue chakra began to ebb from his body before his vision went dark, with the last thing he heard being Kyūbi's alarmed gasp.

With a jolt, Naruto's body rose sharply out of the bed, his irises dilated and shaky. He looked around and found himself in a hospital bed.

'H-How did I get here?' Naruto thought as he looked around. The last thing he remembered was talking to the Kyūbi before the pain became too much.

"Ah, Uzumaki-san, you're finally awake," A female voice said. "I was concerned after I found you that day in the Forest of Death that you would perish from your fever or by…darker means. I am glad that is not the case."

Naruto looked around in confusion when he didn't see anyone. "Um…." Naruto began.

"Oh forgive me," the voice said and with a shimmer, an ANBU with purple hair and a cat mask stood in front of his bed. "Is this better?"

The scent of lavender filled the air as Naruto stared at the woman.

She smelled nice…

'Really nice...Her voice is nice as well…I wish I had a voice as soft as hers...' Naruto thought to himself. "Much better," Naruto answered with a wide smile. "I need to see you to be able to thank you after all."

The woman adjusted herself in her spot and murmured, "I will inform the Hokage that you are awake. He will be most pleased after this scare."

"I owe you one," Naruto sincerely told her .

"I'll hold you to that, Uzumaki-san," She replied before she disappeared in a flurry of leaves, leaving Naruto alone.

"What the hell was that thought?" Naruto asked out loud.

"You're finally awake," A familiar voice said within his mind.

"Damn right," Naruto said with a cheeky grin.

"Think your responses," The Kyūbi commanded. "Unless you want to look like a psychopath."

'Ah, sorry…' Naruto thought. 'So, what happened to me? Seeing as I'm alive, I don't think the chakra poisoning happened.'

"You'd be correct but let's just say there was a little bit of a difference about you…" Kyūbi told him.

Naruto tilted his head curiously but leaned back on his pillow. 'Put a pin in that one for a sec. How long was I out?' he asked his "Key" with a thoughtful expression.

"Two weeks," she answered.

'TWO WEEKS?!' Naruto raged within his head. 'THAT MEANS I START AT THE ACADEMY TOMORROW! ARE YOU SURE?!'

"Yeah. That's what I overheard this morning from the doctors," Kyūbi told him.

'Fuck my life…' Naruto thought glumly. 'But…Despite my panic, I'm glad what happened wasn't a dream.'

"Are you?" Kyūbi questioned.

'Yeah. It means my claim to the Hokage's seat is still valid…My Kingdom needs their true leader and if it was a dream, how would I know that the claim would be legit?" Naruto answered.

"Very good point and with that point, I'm glad it was real as well. Those weapons were not kind to my body at all. I'm going to have scars," Kyūbi grumbled out.

'Oh please, those scars will only make you look hotter,' Naruto responded.

"The stones on you to say that to me of all beings," Kyūbi said with a haughty laugh.

'Doesn't make it less true,' Naruto told her as he twisted his body and stood up but to his surprise, his feet had nearly reached the floor. Normally, his legs would dangle above the floor and he would have to slide off the bed but now, he managed to get his tip-toes on it.

Weird…

Naruto stood up and stretched out his limbs with a lazy growl and walked to the bathroom but as he entered it, he caught a look at himself in the mirror and froze. The first thing he noticed was his hair, it was longer and shaggier than before, with his bangs barely hiding his eyes.

The whisker marks on his cheeks were more pronounced. The baby fat on his face had slimmed, there was a hint of muscle definition on his body and he was a little taller than before but his irises were now cobalt blue in color and if he could focus enough, he could see that his irises were slightly slitted.

"What happened to me?" Naruto asked himself. "I look...Good."

"The result of absorbing a lot of my essence," Kyūbi answered with a sigh. "It may not seem like a big difference but it did make a fair amount of difference. For example, did you ever wonder how I could speak to you like this?"

"Good point actually," Naruto said as he observed his looks. "I'm just kind of going with the flow of things. Besides, being a super short, slightly baby faced kid isn't a proper look for a future Hokage. This makes me feel a little more royal…."

Naruto then narrowed his eyes and asked, "So, what else changed, other than my looks slightly?"

"Your chakra coils have expanded to accommodate for the massive amount that you now have. There is traces of my own chaotic chakra in there as well. I wonder what that could cause…" Kyūbi answered, her tone turning thoughtful at the end.

Naruto was about to respond when he heard the Sandaime's voice from outside the bathroom door. "Naruto-kun. I have come to visit."

'Great…' Naruto thought with a small groan. 'Just who I want to talk to. The liar and usurper of my throne…I better play it cool though. No sense in getting in trouble by having a big mouth…' Naruto opened the bathroom door and said, "Hey Jiji!"

It took all of his will power to not sneer at that name.

This old betrayer didn't deserve that name…

"Ah Naruto-kun. I was so worried when Neko found you in the forest after I left…I'm sorry I left as rashly as I did."

"Water under the bridge," Naruto said with a smile while he inwardly thought 'The same bridge your body is going to hang under when I take what's naturally mine…'

"Hm…I think I also know what else my essence has influenced…" Kyūbi thoughtfully stated.

"So…Jiji, what the plan? Do I still start at the academy tomorrow?" Naruto asked, forcing that burst of anger down.

The Sandaime nodded his head and sat down in a chair while Naruto plopped down on his temporary bed. "That is still the plan unless you feel that you are not ready."

"I'm more than ready," Naruto said with a grin. "How can I become Hokage without attending the academy?"

"Hokage? Is that what you wish to be?" Sandaime questioned.

"Yeah. I mean you're super cool, super strong and everyone loves you," Naruto said before he gave the largest, cheesiest smile he could ever muster, despite his inner disgust.

"I think you'll have what it takes but there is a lot more to being the Hokage you know," The Hokage admonished slightly with a smile.

'Yeah…Like how to not like to your people, especially to me…' Naruto thought with a venomous tone but he nodded, his smile still in place.

"Well, if you're feeling better, let us get you out of this place and get some ramen before you start your first day," The Sandaime said.

And while Naruto despise the older man now, his smile did become genuine at hearing the word "Ramen."

It was the middle of the night and Naruto found himself sitting on the head of his father on the Hokage Monument, his eyes squinted in thought. He had just eaten some ramen with the old bastard and he was filled with thoughts.

Tomorrow was the day he would enter the academy and meet all the good little drones of Konoha. While most idiotic fools would try to rush success without a plan, Naruto knew what his plan tomorrow was.

There was no way in hell he could take on and then claim the head of Konoha. He had to be subtle with his desire for his rightful place. He also knew that he couldn't do it alone either. He had to have help and what better way to gain that help than try to sway his fellow shinobi hopefuls to his side?

"Thinking like a true ruler after all," Kyūbi stated with an impressed tone.

"Of course," Naruto drawled out. "I bet my father didn't become Hokage all alone. Why wouldn't I try and do the same?"

"Hm…Well you better get some rest then. You have a long day tomorrow," Kyūbi suggested as she yawned slightly.

Naruto nodded and patted the head beneath him and said "Night Dad. Do not fret, I will return this village to its rightful heir."

Naruto then eyed his clothes and said "But maybe I should do a change of clothing…A prince shouldn't show himself before others looking like mere pauper…"

"That is a good point. Tell me something Naruto…Wasn't there a rather high end clothing shop nearby your home that had a particularly harsh woman who refused you clothes? If so, why don't you go "borrow" some appropriate attire," Kyūbi "Innocently" asked.

Naruto let a large smirk appear on his face.

"The Kuwabara Elegant Attires. One of the top high-end clothing stores in Konoha. I hope the owner is ready to gaze upon my princely visage," Naruto whispered with a gleam in his eyes as he leapt off the roof and onto the ground.

With the speed acquired by years of being chased by Chūnin and Jōnin alike, Naruto darted across the street and slide against the brick wall.

"So far, so good. So tell me, my devious container. What do you have in mind?" Kyūbi questioned.

Naruto narrowed his eyes in thought before he glanced in the window and noticed that the store owner, Himura Yojimbo, slept peacefully on the couch in the backroom. 'The old bastard is sleeping per ususal…We could get do my favorite discount but I think It's time to think bigger….' Naruto thought with a toothy grin.

Naruto crept underneath the window and then to the back of the store. He narrowed his eyes and grinned. 'Old fool still doesn't have cameras. I thought he learned after the hot sauce incident.' Naruto crept up on the familiar slightly bent vent and tore it open before he crawled into it.

After navigating his way through the vent, Naruto fell into the main floor of the store. Thankfully, the old idiot was still old school and didn't bother to get any sort of security or alarms.

And Naruto almost felt terrible for what he was going to do but the man had been one of the ones to treat him unkind and since treating a kid like him as if he was a stray mutt was seen as a good deed, he would have to make sure that deed didn't go unpunished.

Naruto reached into his pocket and pulled out a lighter and began to light several articles of clothes on fire. Mostly the real gaudy clothing as there was a specific area that he wished to keep blemish free.

After five minutes of letting the fire grow, Naruto leapt back into the vent and quickly crawled out of the vent and back outside where he swiftly returned the vent's grating back on it. Naruto crept to the left of the building and ran through three backyards as quietly as possible before he walked calmly down the street until he saw the store.

"Oh no!" Naruto exclaimed in horror as he ran to the store. The fire was still going but small enough where people could easily stop it. Naruto ran to the back where the old jerk was sleeping and looked around before he tossed a rock into the window, breaking it.

The old, brown haired man looked up in alarm and saw Naruto on the outside but before he could speak, Naruto said "Old man Jimbo, there's a fire! You gotta get out!"

The man lifted his head and sniffed the air before a look of terror appeared on his face and he quickly ran out the room. Naruto tapped his foot on the grass beneath him waiting until the man came back, where he quickly resumed his worried face.

"Thank goodness I got in there in time," The old man said. "You saved my store and hell, my life. Even after how I treated you…"

"It was nothing," Naruto said, feigning his bashfulness. "I just didn't want you to get hurt…"

And that was true, Naruto did not want him to get hurt but he was a means to an end…

The man's eyes softened a bit before he said "Come into the store, I think I need to offer you a reward…"

'Jackpot…' Thought a victorious Naruto.

The following morning, Naruto woke up and leaned up out of his bed with a yawn and a stretch. He got out of bed and walked to his closet.

Normally, there would have been one outfit, a neon orange and blue jumpsuit but instead, there were rows of rows of suits.

Naruto pulled a white button down shirt off of a hanger, followed by a suit blood red suit vest, a blood red tie, black gloves and black slacks before he placed them on the bed. He then reached into the closet shelf and grabbed a pair of blood red dress shoes but it was then he saw it.

The red scarf.

The scarf that she had given him.

The only gift he had ever gotten in his life.

He missed her dearly…He offered the scarf a sad smile before he shut his closet door and sat the shoes beside the clothes and observed them for a moment.

The quality of these items would have set him back a large sum of money for the next thirty years but thankfully, his "Good deed" last night had nabbed him more than enough to sustain his growing body until sixteen.

While he himself wasn't big into suits, the Kyūbi noted that he would look very good and regal like wearing suits and with Naruto needing to make a rather glorious first impression, he acquiesced and followed her lead.

After he slipped on the outfit, Naruto walked out of his apartment while he tugged at his right glove to get it to fit snuggly around his hand before hoisted himself over the railing and landed onto the ground.

He slipped his hands into his pockets and began to walk, paying no mind to the slightly singed clothing store with the Yojimbo outside of it talking to the Police Force. He then paused briefly and waved to Naruto, who waved back with a smile before he continued on his way to the academy.

"I'm very impressed by your callousness and deviousness," Kyūbi commented with a laugh as Naruto shut his eyes and smirked to himself.

'He was so grateful that I saved him that he let me take all that I desired. That is one soul that will forever worship me…As should all in this ungrateful village,' Naruto thought to himself with a low chuckle.

Soon, the academy came into view and there he saw the dozens of kids his age there and if this was two weeks ago, he would have been nervous. Instead he walked confidently to the academy and sat on top of the picnic table, where a kid with a brown afro, a grey trench coat with a collar that hid the bottom of his face, stood beside it.

The two sat there for a moment before Naruto said "Look at all these kids. All lined up to be Konoha's defense."

"It is very admirable but I doubt this many will graduate," The boy whispered in reply.

"Got that right. They are all very noisy," Naruto said. "Not shinobi material."

The boy nodded.

"Name's Naruto. Future Hokage. Your name?" Naruto questioned.

"Aburame Shino," Shino replied as he adjusted his glasses. "My father says your evil. Is that truth?"

"Nope. Just a kid," Naruto replied with a smile while inwardly scowling. "I can take a lie detector if you want?"

"No need. You seem like a kid," Shino replied.

"How troublesome," another kid said before he sat down on the beneath with a groan. "What a drag, I'm so tired."

"Why so tired friend?" Naruto asked.

"That bossy blonde," the boy replied as he pointed to a loudmouth blonde girl, who was currently arguing with a pink haired girl.

'Hm…She's cute.' Naruto thought.

"The Pink or the Blonde?" Kyūbi questioned.

'The blonde hands down. Pink is cute but the blonde will be a bombshell when she's older…' Naruto said before smirk formed on his face. 'A bombshell I wish to handle.'

"Yeah, you absorbed a lot more of my personality than I imagined previously…" Kyūbi chuckled out in amusement.

"She is cute. Could she really be so bossy?" Shino questioned

"Very much so," The boy sighed out. "Nara Shikamaru is my name…"

"I'm Naruto and this is Shino," Naruto said.

"Naruto huh? My folks often call you troublesome but you seem alright," Shikamaru said with a yawn. "And nice to meet you Shino."

"Likewise," Shino replied curtly.

Without warning, Naruto heard a shout of "Stop being such a fatass and let me get a chip!" followed swiftly by "I am not a fatass!" and then a unruly looking brunette in a hood crash landed in front of the picnic table.

"Did you learn your lesson Kiba?" Shikamaru asked the boy with a dry tone.

"Never call Chōji a fatass…Got it…" Kiba groaned as he lifted his arm to give Shikamaru a thumbs up while Naruto looked ahead to see a rather plump kid glaring at Kiba with a deadly epression.

"A Nara, an Aburame, An Akimichi and an Inuzuka….Quite the group so far. And looking at the blonde girl, she has the characteristics of a Yamanaka…I wonder who else will be here," Kyūbi questioned.

"If this is all Konoha has to offer when it comes to shinobi, they might as well drop out now," A voice said from behind them. Naruto turned around and the first thing he saw were her eyes.

They were the same as they were back then.

Lavender/pearl in color.

But instead of the warmth, there was arrogance that shined within them and yet, he was drawn to those eyes…

Those alluring, lavender eyes.

Naruto stood up to face her and as he leaned on one knee, he said, "Well, well, well…Hello Hinata-chan,"

Hyūga Hinata sat on the table with a grin on her face, her eyes locked on his as her open lavender jacket swayed in the wind, revealing a tight black blue thong leotard, black tights, lavender colored gauntlets and black knee-high boots. She also had her hair is styled into a bun at the back, with long, thick bangs at the front.

On the right sleeve of her jacket was a black armband with the Hyūga clan insignia on it. "You're quite the sight for sore eyes Uzumaki-kun," Hinata said, her voice coming out haughty, like the princess she was. "And you should address me by my full name and title….The chain that will unite the Hyūga clan. The Lavender-eyed Heiress and your superior: Hyūga Hinata."

"Oh…I think I like her…" Kyūbi said with grin.

"Your arrogance is as bright as the sun and just as bold. You've really changed," Naruto noted with a chuckle. "Then you should address me by my full title."

"Your full title?" Hinata questioned with a humoring tone.

"Oh yes…I am The Prince of Konoha and future holder of the Hokage's Throne. The blue-eyed ruler: Uzumaki Naruto," Naruto proclaimed.

Hinata placed the back of her left hand to her mouth and began to laugh that royal laugh. "How adorable. The only thing you'll be ruling over is the mutts, my dear stray," Hinata cooed as she pinched his right cheek. "But by all means…Try to prove me wrong."

"With pleasure," Naruto hissed out.

Hinata tapped his cheek before she jumped back into the arms of her bodyguard, Hyūga Kō, and declared,"I no longer wish to be around this riff-raff. Please take me to the head of the group." He nodded and carried her off while Naruto watched with squinted eyes.

"Wow," Shikamaru said. "And I thought Ino was bad…"

"Hm, it seems this year will prove interesting," Shino said as he adjusted his glasses.

Naruto watched the man carry off Hinata and despite his anger, he felt a possessive feeling come over him. 'I don't care how long it takes, I'm going to claim her and make her submit to me…'

"Hmm And what about that masked woman? Didn't you make the same bold statement?" Kyūbi asked him.

'Her, Hinata, it doesn't matter, I'll have them both,' Naruto responded. 'Because as far as I see it, anyone that has lived here since you were sealed inside of me belongs to me. That woman, Hinata or any other woman I see, I'm only claiming what it is mine.'

"The Blue-Eyed Ruler you called yourself and yet all I see is anyouth with an insatiable appetite," Kyūbi said to him.

And that's when the grin grew wider.

'Then call me Naruto the Avaricious because I will claim everything I see…' Naruto vowed. 'And what better way to start my conquest over Konoha by taking the Heiress herself?'

The first day at the academy was a bore if you were to ask Uzumaki Naruto.

They primarily spent the day introducing themselves to their classmates and while that was amusing, Naruto just wanted to get some sort of work done and learn techniques. How was he supposed to rule Konoha as the rightful heir when they weren't learning anything?

'I feel like it was a total bust,' Naruto glumly thought .

"It's only the first day. No need to get your shinobi brand underwear in twist, human," Kyubi admonished before she let out a wistful sigh. "Just like your mother…"

Naruto couldn't help but let a gentle smile appear on his face at the comparison. 'But still, I can't help but feel disappointment at the fact that I received no training.'

"You must crawl before you walk. Hell, I didn't become as strong as I am at birth. I had to work towards it," Kyubi told him.

Naruto nodded, albeit with annoyance.

"But if you are so hard pressed for knowledge to begin your pilgrimage to King of Konoha, then I shall help you get started," Kyubi told him.

'Wait, do you know shinobi stuff? I mean, considering you're a demon and all…' Naruto questioned.

"A royal demon I am. However, I have been sealed in two Uzumaki before you, both of which were very skilled Kunoichi and while Mito and I never really saw eye-to-eye, I did managed to map out her abilities whenever she used Jutsu. And Kushina…Well…Her arsenal when it comes to jutsu is expansive," Kyubi explained. "So while I have no need for Jutsu, I do know a handful."

"Cool…" Naruto said out loud.

"With all of that said, let's find someplace quieter."

After trekking on through the village, Naruto stood in the familiar spot within the Forest of Death. Normally, he would be fishing for food or trying to train his aim but with this area being so far out from the village, he wouldn't be disturb by whatever Kyubi had planned.

"Okay…So two weeks ago you were able to pull out the weapons within me using those chains. Do you think you can summon them again?" Kyubi questioned.

Naruto frowned. 'I don't really remember how I did it the first time. I just thought about I wanted to get those weapons out of you…' Naruto explained as he crossed his arms.

"Hmm so when I was sealed in both Mito and Kushina, the way that they summoned the chains were to think of them as an extension of themselves and their chakra. Surprisingly, you were able to draw the chains because at the time, you did the same thing they did without the pure knowledge and control of your own expansive amount of chakra," Kyubi explained. "So…we are going to recreate that."

"How?" Naruto asked.

"Simple…Come to me," Kyubi commanded and without warning, Naruto's vision went dark.

When Naruto came to, he was back in front of the gilded cage where Kyubi sat but unlike last time, she now sat on a throne with crimson wisps of chakra floating from it. "Welcome back," Kyubi greeted.

"Okay, so before we continue…What the hell is this place?" Naruto asked.

"This is your subconscious or mindscape," Kyubi answered. "The reason it looks like this is because it is a reflection of you and everything you've experienced up until this point. It was actually worse up until you hit seven years old. It resembled a burnt out orphanage."

Naruto scowled but remained silent.

"But now that you are able to enter into this, you can control this realm as it is a reflection of you,"Kyubi finished.

"Are you able to control it?" Naruto asked.

"To a certain extent since I am sealed within you. However because I am also separate entity from you, I don't have the full control that you would," Kyubi answered.

"Cool. Let's change this all up because sitting in this deep, dank place depresses and as my partner, there is no fucking way you'll be in this shithole. So, how do change this?" Naruto asked.

"This realm is yours to mold and command. All you have to do is see the image you want it be and then focus on creating it," Kyubi explained.

"What about the cage?" Naruto asked.

"This cage is the seal that protects me from you. Because this cage is within your mindscape as well, it should follow the same rules and bend to your commands. If I can make a suggestion, I'd like the seal to be a choker," Kyubi responded.

"Oh, I know what that is. I've see some of the women in the village wearing that," Naruto said with a nod before he clapped his hands together and said "Well…Let's hope this works."

Naruto crossed his arms and took on a thoughtful expression and after a few seconds, the world began to warp around them and with a flash of white light, Naruto found himself in a new area.

The area was set at night during a full moon. It had a large, broken down castle that was far away in the backdrop along with some trees and a lot of plants with white, fuzzy leaves surrounding the area along with a long rock.

Behind him, the cage was morphed into a golden light which shot out to the Kyubi and wrapped around her neck before it solidified into a gilded choker with a seal etched into it.

"This is…" Kyubi murmured, her voice taking on a soft, almost sad tone. "How did you find out about this place?"

"I dream about this place from time to time…Why?" Naruto asked.

Kyubi shook her head and took a breath.

Naruto didn't understand why but he could feel emotions warring within Kyubi before she said, "We can talk about that later…For now, let's focus on why I bought you here."

Naruto wanted to comment on her sudden shiftiness but he shrugged it off and said "Right. The chains…"

"Yes. Now I want you to create three targets in the distance,"Kyubi told him.

Naruto nodded formed three trees that each had one branch were a target was hanging off of it. "Good boy," Kyubi cooed with a grin before she held lifted her right arm from out of her cloak and launched three ruby colored orbs at the targets, which then solidified and took the shape of three small kunai.

"I want you to use the chains to pull them out but don't absorb them. Just remove them," Kyubi told him.

Naruto nodded and eyed the chains. 'The chains were to be thought of as an extension of one's self and their chakra. Just focus and concentrate…' Naruto thought as he narrowed his eyes, focusing on trying to summon the chain and after a minute, that familiar feeling of something being pulled from out of him appeared and when he glanced down, the edge of a chain was sticking out.

Naruto smiled at his success and forced the chain shoot out into the air but unlike last time where they were gold, his chains were black with cobalt blue chakra flowing around them.

As it flew, the singular chain separated into sixteen rows of chains, with three of them colliding against the ruby red kunai and the remaining thirteen falling to the ground around the trees.

Kyubi narrowed her eyes. "Sixteen…That was the same amount as last time…" she commented curiously, more to herself than to her blond container. "Naruto. I want you to try to make less than that."

"I tried," Naruto told her. "I tried to make three but that number came out…"

Without a word, Kyubi held out her hand, causing the trio of ruby colored kunai to morph back into three small orbs and returned to her palm where they formed into a single ruby katana. She then launched it at the middle target, where it stuck to it.

She then looked to Naruto and said "Focus on creating 1-3 of those chains."

Naruto nodded and took a deep breath and began to focus and nearly a minute later, six chains exploded from his chest towards the ruby katana but only one grabbed it.

Kyubi sighed.

She hoped that this wasn't the case.

"That is what I figured…Because the large amount of chakra you hold, your control of it is hopeless but no worries. Kushina and Mito had the same issue," Kyubi told him. "One more test."

Naruto looked at her then nodded before he withdrew the chains back into his chest.

"Before this last test. I want you to understand something. When dealing with the Kongō Fūsa, the more chakra you have, the more chains you can create. I want you to create as many chains as you can."

"As many as I can?" Naruto questioned.

At Kyubi's nod, Naruto focused up and began to focus and without warning, dozens of chains exploded from his chest and shot up into the air. There were so many rows of chains that it blotted out the moon above them, casting a long shadow.

Kyubi was surprised. She hadn't seen Kushina nor Mito output the amount of chains Naruto had. And seeing it, it made Kyubi's mind race with the possibilities. If she could get him to be able to control the chains like Kushina, he could be a huge threat.

Yes…She knew exactly how to train him now.

"That is enough. Withdraw them…" Kyubi told him.

Naruto nodded and withdrew the large amount of chains back into his chest but the minute he did, he slumped forward and began to fall but Kyubi caught him with an arm to his chest, ruby chakra flowing from her body due to her appearing before him.

Kyubi gingerly placed him to the ground and sat beside him and observed his unconscious form.

While his visage matched the man she despised for taking Kushina from her, his attitude reminded her of the woman she had longed to claim and it made her miss Kushina but enough of that thought.

She had a protégé now.

The son of the woman she desired and the man she loathed. A protégé that wished to be the heir and ruler of Konoha.

The Blue-Eyed Prince of Avarice…

And with her, the most noble, most splendid, venerated, immortal, and supremely powerful Bijū, the Ruby-eyed Queen of Avarice, The Kyubi no Kitsune taking him under her wing, Konoha will quake in terror for what their lauded Yondaime has done.

Kyubi almost shivered in delight at the thought.

Kyubi reached out and ran a hand through his blond hair and whispered, "Sleep well little prince for tomorrow your training beneath me begins. Until then, let your dreams take wing." Kyubi let a small grin form on her face as malice shined in her eyes as she said "One day, when you're big and strong…You will be a king."

Yes, this partnership will be sublime.

Professor Violet: And that is the end of this chapter. Quite a bit to set the scene but the next chapter will come pretty soon. Until then, Class is dismissed
