It's Up to Me
Chapter 08
_
Harry Potter stepped into the quaint shop called "Bunbōgu-ya," The Quill and Scroll, tucked away in a narrow alley. The scent of parchment and ink filled the air as he strolled to the counter.
The shopkeeper, a middle-aged wizard, greeted Harry with a bow.
"Welcome, young wizard. My name is Kenji Ito. How may I assist you today?"
Harry returned the bow with a smile and glanced around, his eyes lighting up at the sight of the Shelves lined with various quills, scrolls, and notebooks.
"Hello, My name is Harrison Potter-Black. Keisuke told me about a Japanese parchment that has an ink painting..?" Harry furrowed his brow.
"We do have them." Kenji Ito nodded.
"Well… I'm famous in my country. So I have to reply to my fan letters." Kenji blinked at him for a moment.
"Ah… You are Harry Potter."
"I am." Harry sighed.
"Until recently, he had a ward on him," Keisuke added.
"Do you intend to reply to previous letters, Mr.Potter?"
"I don't want to… But everyone tells me to do it." Harry crossed his arms and sco ed.
"Very well… Let me help you with it." Kenji Ito grinned. oh, you poor child… Having to write so many letters will make you insane…
"Stay here Mr.Potter, Master Keisuke. I'll be right back." Kenji Ito conjured two chairs near them and gestured for them to sit as he launched deeper into the store.
Harry sighed and jumped onto the long-legged chair. Keisuke Sat while smirking at him. Harry hu ed. You have a lanky body… Not something I wish for even if I wish to be tall.
A moment later Harry broke the silence.
"I Have a question." Harry frowned.
"Mmm?" Keisuke Titled his head.
"How come everyone understands English?"
"Not everyone… They have translation charms in the shop or an object in them."
"Oh…"
Translation chams… Another thing to add to his research list. He should create a study plan and stay in ROR for a year or two… He pressed his lips together. He has to study family magic too… While he still might be too young to understand everything without a mentor, his mind vibrates with pleasure to think that he still has his family magic. Ragnarok's warnings might be forever stuck in his head.
"Be careful Harrison. Your family magic was blocked for a decade. You could have lost your family magic."
Something he will not wish upon even for his worst enemy.
A few moments later, Kenji Ito came back with a box. He put it on the counter and pulled a few parchment rolls from it. Harry took one of them and observed it. Fading orange ink painting of blossoms decorated it at the bottom of the parchment. This is stunning… and the parchment has some magic on it… hmmm…
"Are these parchments never-ending?" Harry asked.
"They are." Harry nodded.
"Mr.Potter…"
"It's Lord Potter…" Keisuke interrupted. Kenji Ito's eyes widened a little as he bowed.
"I apologise, Lord Potter. I didn't see your rings." Harry blushed. Arr… I have to get used to it…
"It's alright."
"Thank you, Lord Potter. I selected a few things for you. This envelope has protection charms. No outsider can read it. Waterproof. It came with a box and the envelope is never-ending as well." Harry hummed. Useful…
"And this notebook can reply to mails. If you want to reply to a marriage proposal, you can write the reply and update it in the notebook. After that, you can copy that reply and put it in the letter. You can also remove and add sentences. The manual will show how to do everything." Harry fixed his gaze on the notebook and frowned. I hope it's not like the diary.
"This calligraphy pen set can write what you think or speak. You also can change the writing style to your handwriting or another style." Definitely buying it…
"The last one is the ink eraser. As you can guess, it erases the ink."
"I'll buy all of them. I need five or more designs for the parchment. 3 calligraphy pen sets and erasers." Harry leaned back and stroked his chin.
"And we need 50 notebooks and quills," Keisuke added. Harry narrowed his eyes on the man.
"You will need it." Keisuke shrugged.
Ah... Fans again...
"Very well my lord." Kenji Ito crinkled his eyes and nose.

Leaving The Quill and Scroll, Harry and Keisuke continued to explore the market. Trying street food, and buying some items.
"This shop is 'Maho no Tsuya' the Wand Emporium." Keisuke showed him a shop.
"I have a wand." Harry pressed his lips together.
"You do... But not talking about a wand, A magical foci."
"A magical foci?" Harry raised his eyebrow. Foci... Never heard of it...
"Yes... Let's go inside."
Harry nodded. He stepped inside the shop with Keisuke strolling behind him. As he approached the counter, an old man with a long white beard titled his head to greet him.
"Greetings, Lord Potter. I am Kazuki, the wandmaker."
I hope every wandmaker is not going to be like this...
"Greetings, Master Kazuki." Harry greeted back.
"Lord Potter here for a foci," Keisuke said while leaning over the counter.
"Ah, Master Keisuke... I hope you are well...?"
"I am Master Kazuki... You?"
"Just feeling old age," Kazuki replied.
"Well... Lord Potter... Your magic will decide what you need. All focies have di erent styles, Lord Potter." Master Kazuki bent over, took a few items from the counter drawer and put them on the counter.
"This is a Sceptre. A common magical foci. A bit longer than wands." Harry licked his dry lips. Small test items?
"A sword. Less common. Powerful based on your core." Damn… If a sword can be foci… Maybe Gry ndor's sword can become one of my foci… Is it even possible…?
"A Dagger. A sword and a dagger have similar styles."
"A Chakram has two styles and is uncommon." I don't think a Chakram is my style. I can't even imagine it. Harry rolled his eyes.
"A bow. Very di erent but similar to sword-style energy." Never mind…
"A Slingshot. Unusual…" Nope…
"Whip is uncommon but is quite versatile." Harry's eyes widened a little.
"A fan… popular and useful…"
"These three are Mace, Flail and Hammer. Powerful Focies and based on stronger elements." Stronger elements… Is Ice an even stronger element?
"Cards are powerful and versatile. There are many uses." Ah…
"A ring… Powerful and most suitable for focusing on wandless magic."
"Spear, while not powerful like others, is more useful for combat. Popular in the past."
"Axe… These foci are usually chosen by dwarfs…" Dwarfs…? They are real…
"Now, Lord Potter… I want to touch every one of those."
Harry nodded as he traced the smooth skin of Sceptre. He felt nothing. Thank Merlin… When his finger touched the sword next, it shocked him. Harry choked.
"Ah… You already have a bonded sword, Lord Potter. A powerful and ancient one. Continue please." Master Kazuki said while clapping his hands. Harry nodded. Gry ndor sword… I have to search for a master to teach me.
He felt nothing until he touched the ring. He closed his eyes, trying to stop the leaking of his magic from him.
"Don't stop, Lord Potter. Let the magic do what it wants." The soothing voice of Master Kazuki said into his mind.
Harry frowned but did release the magic that struggled to escape. My magic is searching for something… A sudden heaviness settled in his mind as he opened his eyes. Master Kazuki's eyes widened as the small box appeared in front of Harry.
"Night-Blooming Cereus Ring…" Master Kazuki gasped.
"Okay… Is it important?" Harry fixed his gaze on the dark green ring box. A white flower was carved on it.
"Important he asks… Huh…" Keisuke muttered.
"Open it, Lord Potter." Master Kazuki ordered.
With a tight-lipped smile, Harry opened it. A golden ring with the same flower on it captures his attention. White Petals end blended with purple and light green. He stared at the beauty of the ring, unable to move. And then the magic of the ring reached Harry's magic and danced together, Bonding… For a moment he stops breathing.
"Congratulations, Lord Potter." Master Keisuke said with a laugh. His eyes twinkled.
"Congratulations My Lord." Keisuke hummed.
"Thank you…?" Harry tilted his head while taking the ring to his hand and putting it on his finger.
"Night-Blooming Cereus Flower has few names. Kadupul, Queen of the night but to us it is beauty under the moon. This ring belonged to Emperor Yōkō and was given to him by Lady Magic. He was blessed by magic and he changed after the blessing. He did many good things for Lord Potter. It seems you are destined to do the same." Harry's jaws slacked. Bloody hell… Why is it always me…

A small wooden sign illuminated with tea leaves and a teapot caught his attention: "Chawan no Ie," The House of the Tea Bowl.
Harry stepped into the cosy shop. The air was filled with the soothing aroma of freshly brewed tea, inviting him to embark on a sensory journey.
Shelves of intricately designed tea sets, delicate porcelain teacups, and a vast array of tea leaves and herbs stood inside the shop. As Harry perused the selection, a man dressed in a traditional kimono, approached him.
"Greetings, My Lord," the tea master greeted him with a bow.
"I am Akiko, the tea master of Chawan no Ie. Welcome to our humble sanctuary of tea and potions. How may I assist you today?"
"I just saw the wooden sign and thought about exploring." Harry blushed.
Master Akiko smiled and guided him through the shop, sharing the stories and properties of di erent tea leaves and potion ingredients.
Master Akiko explained the unique healing properties of green tea, the calming e ects of chamomile, and the invigorating qualities of ginseng. They explored potions such as the Essence of Tranquility, the Elixir of Energy, and the Draught of Dreams, each crafted with precision and care.
After their informative discussion, Akiko invited Harry to experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. In a serene corner of the shop, a low table embellished with a beautiful tea set awaited them. they settled onto the floor cushions.
Akiko performed each step of the tea ceremony, gracefully pouring hot water over the tea leaves and whisking them into a frothy concoction. Harry observed the intricate movements, appreciating the artistry and precision that went into every gesture.
With a gentle smile, Akiko handed Harry a cup of steaming matcha tea. The vibrant green liquid seemed to hold the essence of nature itself. Harry took a sip, savouring the rich flavour that danced on his tongue, feeling a sense of peace and balance wash over him.
As they enjoyed their tea, Akiko shared stories of the magical properties infused in certain tea blends, and how they could enhance concentration, boost energy, or even aid in spell casting. The ancient wisdom of tea intertwined with the world of magic, o ering Harry a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of the two practices.

As the day drew to a close, Harry realised that his time in the Japanese Wizarding Market was coming to an end. They reached the Apparition pot.
"Your job is over… Now you can call me Harrison." Harry tilted his head and smiled.
"Of course Harrison. Have a safe trip. I'll write to you." Keisuke smiled.
"Thank you, Keisuke…" Harry reaches Keisuke with hesitation. Keisuke hugged him as he breathed deeply, the scent of Peppermint rushed through his nose.
_See You Next Time _
Sorry for not updating. I got an order to write and page settings for 3 books.
So the shopping is over. I thought of shortening the part of "Chawan no Ie," The House of the Tea Bowl. Do you like to see Keisuke in the future?
And I'm removing the Bilbo/Thorin relationship and Time Travel tag. I'm going to write another story for them.
