Chapter 94: A visit from the dead
Back at the Midoriya mansion, Kouna went back to her room before lamenting about being a burden to not only to Hisashi, but to the famous Midoriya name. She then believed that maybe Team Randall is right about Hisashi having no love in his heart, causing her locket to start glowing until Kouna see some of the late U.A. League (including her grandma Inko) and a few late Peanut Gallery members in person, which also caused Kouna to be frightened as she fell to the floor. Inko then calmly float towards Kouna and told her not to be afraid because she and her comrades are here to help her. After mrs. Bakugo asked Kouna what is wrong, she explained what happened between her and Hisashi and how the villains try to convince her to become a villain, because of the way she was been treated, causing the spirits to understand until Fyumi told Kouna that there's definitely love in Hisashi's heart because when she and her comrades were alive, it wasn't easy living with someone like Izu because he can turn people into experiments without them knowing, shows lack of emotions, (especially when he's in trouble) and finally, he can be quite manipulative and a prankster. Kouna then became amazed as she put her hands on h her hips before asking how old her dad was back then, causing her grandma to say that he was just four years old, which also caused Shenji to compare how Izu was when he was from age four, to age fifteen. Just like Kouna, Izu used to be temperamental, hyperactive, short attention span depending on the subject, impulsive, reckless, and finally, very clever, which caused Kouna herself to see why she got ADHD from her dad. Zero then told Kouna that he and his comrades have been watching over Izu and his comrades ever since their death during the war against the former Warcraft of Doom, and what they saw is Hisashi developing emotions for the first time since he was four, causing Satsuki to get the tape that Kouna was watching so she will watch the entire clip of Hisashi's interview, which also caused Kouna to be fill with joy after hearing that Hisashi loved her no matter what she does in life, and he wouldn't mind if they join forces together to maintain peace and harmony.
After the interview, Fyumi told Kouna that she's so lucky to have siblings before revealing that long ago, she and her comrades used to envy Izu for being the only child, while he envied them for having actual siblings, causing Kouna to understand what they're saying before asking yes and no questions relating to siblings, which also caused the late Peanut Gallery to say yes to most of the questions as the late U.A. League smiled at each other. After laughing together, Inko told Kouna that she's going to show her something from the past, causing her to say ok before taking her hand.
Inko then teleport herself and Kouna into the past taking place on Father's Day, because that time of day fully revealed how different everyone is from each other, starting with a four-year-old Ochaco giving her dad some paintings that she made, and ending with Mei building her dad an invention to help him get to work faster. Soon, Kouna and her grandma watches four-year-old Izu looking solemnly at a family picture that his dad is in until Kouna gets impatient and ask what's the point in this, causing Inko to tell her to calm down before explaining that since Izu's dad was killed on his birthday, it was really hard for him to call All Might dad because he will then get emotional as he recalled memories of his dad. After Kouna understand, Izuku went to see another Inko, which caused Kouna herself to question this before Inko say that nobody will see or hear them. Soon, Izuku asks his mom if he really have to go to the Father's Day slumber party at a friend's house, causing All Might to come in and say yes before they set off to the dance. Inko then told her granddaughter that when her father was four years old, everyone at U.A. Apartments stuck together like glue even though they are completely different. So, when Izu became distraught after feeling different at the dance, Mezo was the first person to cheer him up before the rest of their comrades and their siblings comforted him. Kouna then starts tearing up before asking her grandma how she will know that Hisashi cares for him when he returned home, causing Inko herself to tell her that she will have to find out for herself before teleporting themselves back to the present. Soon, Satsuki told Kouna that before she and the other spirits leave, she has some advice for her that will work throughout the future of heroes.
