*You wa SHOCK!*
A rock guitar starts playing as a robed figure is shown walking through the desert. As the song gets close to the first lyrics, Ranma is seen in the distance, waiting for the figure.

Scene cuts to Ranma getting into a battle stance. As the song continues, Ranma is shown throwing punches and kicks. He glares at the cloaked figure, who throws off his cloak to reveal Ryoga.

The scene shifts to Master Asia looking over a gathering of students being led by Ranma and Rainbow Dash. As the two continued to lead the mass gathering of students, Master Asia looked out into the distance, his smile fading into a scowl as he recalls a certain memory.

As the camera pans from Flash to Applejack to the rest of the gang, Luna can be seen looking at them with a sad face as a memory of a younger Celestia training comes to her mind.

The scene switches to a black screen with Celestia looking off into the distance with a sad look on her face. As tears fall down her cheeks, A strange, tall and muscular figure can be seen walking on her opposite side. His back was turned, but it was possible to make out a mess of wild red hair on his head. He turns around, his face concealed by shadows and his eyes glowing red.
As the last bit of the song plays, the scene changes back to Ranma and Ryoga's duel. As the last tunes play, Ranma and Ryoga jumped at each other with flying sidekicks.
Enter the Eternal Lost Rival: Ryoga
The scene enters on the home of Ranma and Master Asia as the two martial artists were training Ranma's three students, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Flash Sentry. Today, the two masters were focusing on helping the three young kids to generate ki blasts. Rainbow was having some luck, but Applejack and Flash seemed to be having difficulties.
Suddenly, a ball of bright blue ki materialized in-between Flashes hands.
"OH! I did it...I DID IT!" Flash was shouting in excitement. Sadly, it was short lived, because right at the height of his excitement, his ki blast exploded in his face and frightened the other two students back. As the smoke cleared, Flashes face was revealed to be covered in black soot.
Despite the seriousness of what just happened, Ranma couldn't help but to burst out laughing.
"HAHA! You did it alright! HAHAHAHA!" Ranma laughed. After a while Ranma got himself back under control. Flash just glared at his friend and sensei.
"Very funny sensei." He said as he tried to wipe the soot off of his face. Rainbow and Applejack tried their hardest not to laugh at their friend. Ranma brought himself back under control and put a comforting hand on Flashes shoulder.
"What did I do wrong?" Flash asked his friend and teacher. Ranma patted his sulking friends shoulder.
"It's ok bud. You just lost concentration when you got all excited." Ranma said to the blue haired boy. "You just need to focus more on maintaining control and not let your emotions get away from you." Ranma said with a smile. Seeing how his friend looked a little down, Ranma got an idea.
"Ok. Since you guys are getting better at forming ki, I think I'm going to show you just what you guys are aiming for." He said with a smirk. The others saw that smirk, and knew that he was up to something.
"Uh, Ranma?" Applejack asked nervously. "What are you up to?" She asked. Ranma smirked as he walked out in front of them.
"You'll see." He said. He walked a bit more until he was a few feet away from another boulder.
He got into a low sideways stance, left side facing the target, brought his hands to his right side, and charged up his ki.
"Hadouken!" He shouted and a ball of bright blue ki fired from his hands and sored right for the boulder. The ball of ki smashed into the boulder and caused it to explode into a million pieces.
"WHOA!" The three young people cried in surprise.
"That..." Rainbow started. "Was...AWESOME!" She finished in excitement. Applejack was so in shock by what she saw she couldn't form any words. Flash on the other hand, was just about as star struck as Rainbow Dash.
"And that," Ranma said turning around and pausing for dramatic effect. "Is the Hadouken." He finished.
"It's a step up from a basic ki blast. And it's also a stepping stone into learning more advanced ki blast techniques." He said like a professor lecturing his students. Rainbow Dash rushed over to Ranma with stars in her eyes.
"You mean you're gearing us up to learn something like THAT!?" She said in excitement. Ranma nodded his head.
"Yes" He said. And with that, Rainbow dashed back to her original spot and started focusing hard on forming a ball of ki like Ranma just did. Flash walked up to his mentor.
"So, Ranma..." He started to ask. "This attack, you can make it non-lethal, right?" Ranma chuckled and scratched the back of his head.
"Oh yeah. I guess after we get this down pat, I'll need to teach you guys how to tone down its power." Ranma said. "Oh. And I'll have to teach you guys the proper way to channel your ki so as to block powerful ki blasts like this one. And ones that pack more power."
"Hadouken!"
The boys and even Applejack turned their heads to see Rainbow Dash try to fire the Hadouken move that Ranma used a minute ago. She tried again. And again. And on the third try...she fired a near perfect Hadouken...that only managed to get a few inches in front her hands before it fizzled out.
Ranma chuckled to himself at Rainbow's attempts to speed up her training. It brought back so many fond memories of his own days training to learn this very same technique.
"Rainbow." Ranma called to his rainbow haired student. "Learn how to fire a regular ki blast first. Then you can start learning how to fire the more advanced technique." Ranma said to the young woman. Rainbow huffed, but nodded her head.
"Hai sensei." She said. Ranma nodded his head with his eyes closed. Suddenly, he, Flash and Rainbow heard a whining sound coming from the spot Applejack was sitting. They looked over to her spot, and saw that she was holding a near perfect ball of bright green ki in-between her hands. It was a little shaky and slightly unstable, but she was still able to hold it together.
"I..." she was in shock. "I did it." She said as she as she tried to keep her focus on maintaining her control over the sphere. She let go of her control and watched her ki sphere dissipate.
"Not bad." Ranma said clapping his hands. Rainbow was also happy for her friend but was also a bit envious.
"How come hers was more stable than mine?" She asked. Ranma walked over to her.
"Don't sweat it, Rainbow." Ranma said. "Like I said, you just tried to skip to many steps. I understand that you want to skip all the prep work and get to the good stuff, but believe me, you can't just jump into the deep end. Like the old saying goes, you've got to learn to walk before you can fly."
Rainbow smiled at Ranma and nodded. She helped Applejack up and gave her a hug.
"Good job AJ." She said. "But don't get too cocky, I'll be catching up to you before too long." She said. Applejack just smirked and chuckled.
"I'll take that bet, Dashy." She said as she and Rainbow shook hands and grinned at each other. Ranma smiled and shook his head. It was at this moment, that Master Asia came up to the group of friends.
"It's almost time to go kids." Master Asia said to the young group.
"Master," Ranma started as he walked up to his mentor. "Do you think we have enough time for me to explain about elemental ki real quick?"
Master Asia looked at his watch. They would have just enough time. He looked at Ranma nodded.
"I think if you keep it quick, you might have just enough time." He said. Ranma smiled and turned to his students.
"Alright, Now, I promised you guys a while ago that I would tell you about elemental ki, but after that whole thing with the Dazzlings I had to take a rain check on that. But now, I'm going to keep my word." He said as the others got ready to listen to their friend and teacher.
"Now, I'll try to keep this quick, I'll go into even more detail later. But long ago, masters of the martial arts found that it was possible to manipulate the elements of the world. But as they experimented with this concept, they found that certain people had an easier time with some elements more than others. In other words, affinities."
As Ranma stopped talking, he held both his hands out to his sides and his left hand burst into flames while his right hand became covered in wind. The others jumped back in surprise at this latest display of Ranma's abilities.
"Most people only have one affinity, but some people, like me, have two affinities. Mine are wind and fire." Ranma said as he deactivated his element covered hands. Flash and the girls looked at Ranma with stars in his eyes.
"Whoa..." Was all Flash could manage to say. As for Rainbow...
"AWESOME!" She cried in excitement. "You are the COOLEST, sensei!" She said jumping to her feet. Ranma scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
"Ah shucks. You're too kind." He said with his usual cocky smile. Applejack, however, had a contemplating look on her face.
"So, anybody can use this elemental affinity stuff?" She asked. To which, Ranma nodded.
"Pretty much. It's just about finding what your element is and learning how to focus and control it." Ranma said. It was then that Master Asia tapped him on the shoulder.
"I hate to interrupt while you're on a roll son, but you kids really should get going to school now." Ranma nodded sadly and turned to his friends.
"Alright guys, you heard him. Grab your bags and start jogging." He said. The others nodded and went to their respected weighted bags. But as they put them on Rainbow looked towards the pig-tailed boy.
"Sensei, when will we learn how to use our elements?" She asked. Ranma smiled as he pushed her to start jogging.
"As soon as you all can fire off a single Hadouken without it blowing up in your faces. Now march!" He said and she started jogging. Their jog was relatively peaceful. No random water splashes, no Kuno jumping out of nowhere, no trouble what-so-ever. And that alone was enough to make Ranma nervous.
Soon they came upon the school, and there were the rest of their group of friends to greet them as usual. As Rainbow, Applejack and Flash removed their backpacks, Twilgiht handed them their protein shakes and they all started to head for the front door. But as they were walking, Ranma heard a familiar voice.
"RANMA!"
He looked up and saw something falling from the sky. He pushed his friends out of the way and did a one-handed back handspring to avoid being crushed by the falling object. And as it crashed, it was revealed to be a young man around Ranma's age, wearing a yellow long-sleeve Chinese shirt, dark blackish-green kung fu pants, black kung fu slippers and a cheetah print head band.
The two boys jumped away from each other and looked at each other, locked in a stare down. As Ranma looked at the person who unceremoniously crash landed in front of him, he instantly recognized who it was.
"Ryoga?" He asked in surprise. It was his old rival from middle school, Ryoga Hibiki. At first, Ranma was shocked, but then a smile broke out on his face.
"Hey Ryoga! Long time no see buddy!" Ranma said in Japanese, like he was speaking to an old friend. But Ryoga was not as happy to see his old rival.
"Don't talk to me like we're friends you no good bastard!" Ryoga screamed at Ranma in Japanese. The two young men started exchanging words with each other in Japanese, causing a scene in front of the school. The girls and Flash watched the scene in front of them, completely baffled by what was going on. Who was this stranger that literally fell out of the sky and tried to flatten their friend?
"Who is that guy?" Flash asked no one in particular. Sunset narrowed her eyes at the strange young man who nearly crash landed on her and her friends.
"Twilight," She spoke to her purple and pink haired friend. "You're the only one of us who speaks Japanese, can you understand what they're saying?" She asked. Twilight fixed her glasses and smiled.
"No problem." She said as she listened in to the conversation between the two young martial artists.
"Hmmmm." She hummed to herself. "From what I can understand, that guy in yellow is named Ryoga and he and Ranma apparently have known each other for a long time." She explained to her friends.
"And while Ranma seems to be a little happy to see him, Ryoga seems to be mad at Ranma for some reason." Twilight said to her friends. As she listened in to some more of their conversation, Rainbow walked up to her.
"I think I remember Ranma mentioning something about having a rival once before, but I honestly never thought we'd get a chance to see him." She spoke. Twilights eyes widened suddenly.
"Well, apparently, Ryoga is saying something about Ranma skipping out on some duel they were supposed to have a sone time ago." That made the girls gasp and Flash gasp.
"Ok, now I know that guy has a screw loose." Flash spoke up. "I know we haven't known Ranma for very long, but he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to shy away from a fight."
"Yeah!" Pinkie chimed in. "Ranma isn't scared of anyone! Least of all some strange guy who flies out of nowhere to cause some trouble." Fluttershy nodded in agreement.
"Why would he think that Ranma would run away from a fight?" She asked.
"Why don't we ask them ourselves and find out?" Applejack said as she started marching up to the two bickering Japanese youths.
As Ranma was trying to pacify his old rival, he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Applejack was the one who tapped his shoulder.
"Mind if we cut in on this little overseas hoedown?" She asked. Ryoga looked confused as he saw his arch enemy turned from him to talk to this, admittedly pretty blond girl.
"DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON ME!" He shouted in Japanese. Ranma turned back to him.
"Cool down, dude." He said to his rival. "What's up AJ?" Applejack gave him a look that said, 'seriously'.
"Oh, just wondering why some Japanese guy is out here falling from the sky and wanting to pummel you for some reason." She said, matter-of-factly. Ranma scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
"Oh, well-"
"DON'T ACT LIKE I'M NOT EVEN HERE!" Ryoga cried as he tried to punch Ranma from behind. Ranma effortlessly dodged the blow and turned to the other Japanese boy.
"Dude! Can't I talk to my friend in peace?" He asked. Ryoga growled.
"NO!" But before he could strike at Ranma again, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"What!?" He screamed as he turned around, only to come face to face with the frightened face of Fluttershy. Upon seeing the cute girls face contort in fear, Ryoga freaked out and tried to apologize to her.
"Oh my god! I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He said in English. Pinkie jumped up from behind Fluttershy and glared at the yellow clad boy.
"HEY! How dare you make my Fluttershy cry!" She screamed at him. Now Ryoga was really starting to panic.
"NO! You don't understand! It was an accident." He tried to defend himself.
"Ah, so you can speak English." Another voice came from behind him. Ryoga turned around and saw a bunch of other cute girls accompanied by a boy around his age with spiky blue hair.
"Um, yeah?" He said pensively. Ranma turned back to look at his rival who was now surrounded by his new group of friends. As he did, Flash was the one to ask the question that was on everyone's mind.
"So, aren't you going to explain?"
Ranma smiled sheepishly again.
"Oh yeah." He cleared his throat. "Guys, this is Ryoga Hibiki, my old rival from my middle school in Japan." He spoke.
"And, why exactly does he seem to want to kill you?" Applejack asked.
"And what was he talking about, a duel that you skipped out on?" Twilight added in. At the mention of this, Ryoga finally spoke up.
"If that's all you want to know, this coward and I were supposed to have a final before he let for China. But he ran away before we could even fight!"
Ranma pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head.
"Ryoga, I waited for you at the spot we agreed on for three freaking days."
"Three days?!" The group of friends cried in unison.
"Yeah, and when I arrived on the fourth day, YOU WEREN'T THERE!" Ryoga cried in rage. The others looked at each other, then Ranma, then to Ryoga.
"Um, no offense," Applejack started to say. "But, if he waited for three days, I think it was okay for him to leave."
"Yeah, he probably thought that you weren't going to show up." Rainbow Dash added. Ranma looked to his rainbow headed friend.
"Actually, I wanted to stay and wait for the bone head, but on the third day my father knocked me out cold and dragged me off to China."
"A likely story." Ryoga said, not believing Ranma's story. But Fluttershy stepped in to defend her friend.
"Please, Mr. Ryoga, Ranma wouldn't lie. I've known him long enough to know that he says he was going to keep a promise, he would do anything to keep it."
Ryoga wanted to dispute that claim, but looking at that, too-cute-for-this-world face of Fluttershys made him feel like completely beaten. He didn't want to risk making her cry again, lest he incur the wrath of the dark pink haired girl and possibly the rest of the group that had him cornered.
"Um...well, ok. If you say so." Ryoga said, covering his face to hide his blush. Ranam gave his old rival a dirty look.
"Oh, so you won't believe me but you'll believe a pretty girl you've never met?" Ranma asked him. Ryoga freaked and turned on the pig-tailed boy.
"Mind your own business!" He screamed.
"What is going on out here?" Came a new voice. The group of young people turned and poor Ryoga nearly had a heart attack and lost a lot of blood from his nose at the sight he saw. BOING BOING BOING! At that moment, Principal Celestia had strutted out to the front gate to see why so many of her students had yet to report to their classes. Ranma chuckled at Ryoga's reaction and turned to his principal.
"Sorry PC. An old friend decided to drop in." Ranma said pointing his thumb at Ryoga. Celestia looked to the newcomer and recognized him from Ranma's file. The second biggest trouble maker from Ranma's old school, Ryoga Hibiki.
"I see." She said with a frown while thinking to herself "dear god not another kung-fu nutjob". If half of what she read was true about these two, leaving them alone was like lighting the fuse on a powder keg filled with the ingredients for an atomic bomb.
"In any case, I want you all, that includes all the students in this area, in that school in the next ten seconds or you'll all get detention." She said in a commanding voice.
"WHAT!?" Twilight said in horror as she dashed into the school at speeds that rivaled Rainbow Dash. All the other students followed suit, but as Ranma was about to follow, Ryoga grabbed him by the shoulder.
"We're not finished yet Ranma!" He spoke furiously in Japanese. Before Ranma could say anything, Celestia cut in.
"Yame!" She called out. Ranma and Ryoga looked to her with shock in her eyes.
"Hold up," Ranma said. "You speak Japanese?" Celestia crossed her arms under her breasts, unintentionally pushing them up.
"I'll have you know I'm fluent in several languages. And I figured speaking to you two hooligans in your native tongue would be the best way to get your attention." She said as she looks at the two young men, who were blushing from seeing her large breasts become more pronounced. She then looked to Ryoga, continuing to speak in Japanese.
"Look, Mr. Hibiki, while I'm sure you and Ranma have a lot of catching up to do, he does have classes to attend. So, whatever you plan on doing to this annoying little delinquent." Ranma stuck his tongue out at that comment, "it will have to wait till after 3:15." Says Principal Celestian in an authoritative tone.
"But," Ryoga tried to interject, only to be cut off by Celestia again.
"And if I find out that you two have caused any kind of kind of property damage on MY school, I will make your lives a living nightmare. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"
"Crystal." They both said. Celestia nodded her head.
"Good. Now off you go Ranma. And you, Mr. Hibiki, I suggest that you find a place to wait till school is out."
Ryoga nodded his head.
"Yes ma'am." He said as he rummaged through his backpack. Meanwhile, Sunset, the girls and a bunch of other students, and even certain members of the faculty where at the door, watching to see what happens outside. Except for Twilight, who was in her classroom wondering where the other students and the teacher where.
"What's going on?" Fluttershy asked. Sunset squinted her eyes.
"Ryoga's digging through his backpack. For what, I don't know. Wait," She said as she saw Ryoga pull something out. "He's pulling out...a rope?"
"Um...what's the rope for?" Celestia asked the wild looking boy.
"It's so he can tie himself to that tree." Ranma answered. Celestia looked at him wide-eyed.
"What?" And sure enough, that's what Ryoga did. He looked at the incredibly busty woman and answered for himself.
"I get lost easily." Celestia only grew more confounded. Ranma patted her shoulder as he led her back to the school.
"He's not kidding. One wrong turn and he might end up in Canada." As the two headed towards the door, Ryoga called back to Ranma.
"Don't try torun away Ranma!"
"Just don't get lost again, bonehead!" He called back. As Ranma and Celestia headed for the door, Sunset shooed the gathering of people off to wherever they were supposed to go before Celestia could catch them. As Ranma and Celestia walked into the school, she kept trying to ask Ranma for more information about what he said about Ryoga.
"What did you mean when you said, one wrong turn and he might end up in Canada?" Celestia asked the pig-tailed boy. Ranma took a deep breath.
"You see," He began. "Ryoga's family has a curse of their own. Everyone in his family, even the ones who marry into it, are all cursed with a bad sense of direction. They take a few wrong steps and they end up either halfway across the country or in an entirely different country all together."
Celestia gawked at the young boy.
"You're joking, right?" She asked him. Ranma gave her a look.
"PC, you've known me for almost half a year now, have you ever known me to joke about problems I've seen with other people?" He asked her. Celestia thought for a moment, and realized that no, Ranma never did lie about the problems that he sees with other people. He was far too blunt and honest to a fault for that.
"So, you mean, he really does get lost that easily?" She asked. Unbeknownst to her, Sunset and Rarity were listening to the two talks from the other side of the hall. Ranma nodded his head.
"I'm afraid so. I remembered this one time he got lost on the way to school..."
"And he ended up in Shinjuku?" Twilight asked as she listened to Sunset and Rarity tell her and the others what Ranma told Celestia. Rarity nodded.
"That's what the man said. And honestly, from the way he looked while remembering it, I really don't think Ranma was making it up." Sunset nodded at her purple haired friend.
"Honestly, with all the stuff we've seen him do, I believe him."
The girls were all shocked. They were on their way to lunch when Sunset and Rarity brought the others over to tell them what they managed to overhear of Ranma and Celestia's conversation. To say they were shocked was an understatement. Suddenly, they saw Ranma and decided to get a confirmation straight from the wild horse's mouth.
"Ranma!" Pinkie cried out to the pig-tailed boy. Ranma turned to see his friends and waved over to them.
"Yo." He said to them. Pinkie rushed over to him.
"Hey Ranma, what's the story between you and that guy you said always gets lost?" Ranma gave them all a look.
"You girls were listening in on me and Celestia weren't you?" He said as Pinkie blushed.
"Um, uh...it was just Sunset and Rarity, not the rest of us." Pinkie said quickly. The two in question looked flabbergasted at how Pinkie had just thrown them under the bus like that. Ranma however just chuckled.
"Oh, I'm not mad. It's just that, if you wanted to know about me and Ryoga, you should have just asked me." He said to the young dark pinkett. Pinkie and the others jumped in front of the young martial artist with enthusiasm.
"THEN TELL US!" They all cried in unison. Ranma chuckled and scratched the back of his head. A few minutes later, Ranma and the others were all sitting at a table eating their lunch as Ranma began to tell them the story of him and Ryoga.
"Well, it all started back when me and pops were still on the road. When I was around 12 years old, pop was forced by a truancy officer to put me in school so he enrolled me in the first middle school he could find."
"The place was an all-boys school, and lunch time was a literal battlefield. With my skills, I managed to swipe all the best bread from the cafeteria. There was only one kid at the school that gave me any real trouble, and that was Ryoga Hibiki." Ranma thought back to his earlier years when he and Ryoga first met that day at the cafeteria.
"At first, he was no match for me. But over time, he managed to catch up to me in terms of skills. I actually had to start fighting him seriously."
In Ranma's mind, images of his and Ryogas battles flooded into his mind. How their fights went form one-sided beat downs to duels between two almost equally skilled young fighters.
"Ryoga didn't notice it at first, but he actually had a real talent for martial arts. As we fought, he got better. And as a result, I had to start getting better. In the end, we ended up pushing each other to improve. I even learned that he started checking out books on different martial arts to try and give himself an edge in our fights."
"Hold up." Twilight interrupted. "From the way you tell it, it almost sounds like this Ryoga guy learned martial arts on his own and not form an actual teacher."
"Yep. That's exactly what I'm saying." Ranma said as he took a sip of his drink. That shocked everyone.
"EH!?" They all cried. Ranma smiled genuinely.
"Yep, it's true. As far as I know, Ryoga is almost entirely self-taught in martial arts. The fact that he's self-taught and able to keep up with me speaks volumes of just how much talent he has. I'd go so far as to say that his talent for martial arts might be on par or even greater than my own."
That really shocked them all. Even Flash and his friends, who were sitting at the table next to them and overheard their conversations, nearly fell out of their seats from the revelation.
"WHAT!?" They all cried out.
"You're kidding, right sensei?" Rainbow Dash said in shock. "Surely, you're just flattering your rival, right?" Ranma shook his head.
"Sadly, no, I'm not." Ranma said. "If Ryoga had had a decent teacher to teach him, he might have beaten me a few times in our various fights." Ranma smiled as he looked back fondly over his memories of his and Ryoga's fights.
"Aw, those were the good old days." Ranma said to himself. Flash leaned over to Ranma to ask him a question.
"Say, Ranma, just why does that Ryoga guy hate you so much? What started this little feud between you too? Because I really doubt it was all over some scraps of food at lunch." Ranma looked over to his blue haired friend and smiled.
"Well, to be honest, I think what really made that guy mad at me was because, before I came along, he was the toughest guy at the school. When I came along and showed him up, I think all he really wanted was to take back his title." Ranma said with a slight laugh. Rarity just huffed at that.
"Honestly, why must boys be so quick with their fists? Can't you just talk out your problems light rational, civilized human beings?" She asked.
"Nope." Was all Ranma said. Fluttershy, however, wasn't smiling.
"Well, I agree with Rarity" she says. "Honestly, can't you try to settle things with Ryoga without fighting? I'm sure you guys would get along if you jst tried."
Ranma looked at the cute and stacked pink-haired girl. She was so innocent, too innocent for the world that she was born into. Ranma looked at her sadly.
"Look Fluttershy, I've tried to settle things peacefully with Ryoga and it never works. And besides, I actually like fighting with him. It gives me a good way to measure how far I've come in my training." He said with a smile.
"Hm, sounds like Rainbow Dash and Applejack almost." Twilight said. This caused the others to laugh but the two aforementioned girls to go slack-jawed.
"Ah! Wha-what are you talking about?" Rainbow said.
"Yeah, we ain't that bad." Applejack added in. Rarity grinned at her friends.
"Oh really? Then what do you call all of those little squabbles you two have had over the years? Hm?" She asked slyly. The two started blushing.
"Uh, those...those were just friendly little competitions. That's all." Rainbow tried to say. Ranma and the others smirked at her reaction.
"Oh really?" Sunset chimed in. "Then what about the yearbook competition?" The two paled.
"Or the covered in bees staring contest?" Pinkie added as they paled more.
"Or the foot race you turned into a vendetta?" Fluttershy added in. Again, they paled.
"Or the who can out preform who in the triathlon competition?" Twilight added. Even paler still.
"Or the who can become more popular with the boys contest?" Rarity added. At this point, Rainbow and Applejack could pass for ghosts. Ranma smirked and shook his head.
"Wow," he says. "All me and Ryoga fight about is our skills in martial arts. You guys are way worse than we are." The two girls lowered their heads in shame. As they sulked, Ranma gathered up what food he had left and headed for the door.
"Um, dude?" Flash asked to his retreating friend. "Where are you going with that food?" Ranma turned back to look at his friends who were wondering the same thing.
"I'm going to give Ryoga some food. I want him to be at full strength when we fight." Was all Ranma said as he headed for the spot under the tree where his rival was sitting. Only he wasn't sitting, he was practicing some katas. Ranma smiled at the sight.
'Heh, Ryoga's actually gotten better. I hope all that practicing isn't just for show.' Ranma thought as he headed to his frienemy.
"Hey Ryoga!" Ranma called out. Ryoga turned to see the object of his hatred.
"Ranma!" He called out as he ran at the pig-tailed boy, only to reach the end of his rope and fall to the ground. Ranma snickered at the scene, it reminded him of some scenes from a few old cartoons.
"Dude, we're not Foghorn Leghorn and that dumb dog he's always messing with." Ranma said as he snickered. Ryoga got up and glared at his enemy.
"So, are you ready to fight or what?" He said as he got back up.
"No." He said as he produced the tray full of food. "I just thought I'd bring you some food to eat while you wait for me to finish school for the day." He said with a smile. Ryoga glared even harder at his rival.
"I DON'T NEED YOU'RE CHARITY!" Ryoga shouted at Ranma. He then heard his stomach growl. He slumped down, then took the food and sat back down.
"But I'll take the food because I need my strenght." He said as he started eating. Ranma sat down next to Ryoga under the tree.
"So, how've ya been?" He asked nonchalantly.
"Because of you I've seen HELL!" Ryoga shouted at him. Ranma rubbed his ear.
"Sheesh. No need to shout dude. I'm right next to ya."
The two just sat there for a while. Ranma sighed. All he was trying to do was catch back up with an old acquaintance.
"So, it looks like you've been learning some new moves, judging from those katas I saw you practicing." He said with a smile. Ryoga just huffed.
"You bet I have," he says. "I've been training my butt off and learning form any martial artists that I've met on my travels." He added in with pride, puffing out his chest. Ranma smiled again.
"Good, I'm looking forward to our match after school lets out." Ranma said. Ryoga looked at him. Since when did Ranma care about school? In the past, he'd jump at the chance for a fight during school hours. Now he was actually avoiding them while school was going on? Since when?
"What's your angle?" Ryoga asked him. Ranma looked at the wild child.
"Huh?"
"Don't play dumb!" Ryoga said. "I mean, why are you suddenly all Mr. Following the rules at school?" Ranma sighed at his rival.
"Look dude. My master jumped through a lot of hoops to get me into school. And I've got enough trouble with a principle who is a former martial artist who for some reason hates martial arts and resents the fact that I have a few of her students training under me. And honestly, I would actually like to get through high school, just so I can say I'm not an uneducated bum."
Ryoga listened to Ranma talk as he continued eating. Then he thought about something Ranma said and did a spit take.
"Wait...you have STUDENTS!?" He exclaimed as he looked to the other boy. Ranma used his pinkie finger to clean out the ear that Ryoga screamed into.
"First off, don't scream in my EAR!" Ranma screamed back at Ryoga. Then he regained his composure.
"And second, yes, I have students of my own now. The rainbow haired girl, Rainbow Dash, the cowgirl Applejack and the blue haired guy, Flash Century." Ranma said. Ryoga was shocked. His rival had his own group of students now? Ryoga had met Ranma's father a few times and couldn't believe that he would allow Ranma to take students of his own so soon.
"So, your dad thinks your good enough for a few students of your own?" That's when Ranma turned on his rival with a glare that could freeze Hell.
"That creep is no longer my father Ryoga!" He screamed. Ryoga actually flinched back at that.
"I left that asshole in China when I found my new master." He said in a huff. Ryoga ogt a hold of himself and then started to wonder something. This was the second time that Ranma had mentioned a master.
"New master?" He asked. Ranma looked back at him sheepishly.
"Oh yeah. You'll never believe this, but I met THE Master Asia! And he took me as his apprentice!"
Ryoga blinked. Then blinked again. And again. He looked at Ranma dead in the eyes. He wasn't lying.
"EEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHH!?"
Ranma grinned like an idiot and just chuckled.
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!?" Ryoga shouted in shock. Ranma just took on a smug look.
"Nope." Was all he said.
"There is no freaking way that you met THE Master Asia and convinced him to be your sensei." Ryoga said in disbelief. Ranma just kept smirking.
"Jealous?" He said as he turned to give a mischievous grin to his rival. Ryoga growled.
"Well, even if you have had some training from Master Asia, that doesn't mean that you'll be able to beat me Ranma! Come 3:15, I'll finally take you down once and for all."
Ranma smiled a genuine smile at Ryoga. He never changed, and that was something he actually kind of liked about his rival. As long as he had that drive to challenge him, Ranma will always have someone to watch out for.
"Alright then." Ranma said as he got up and dusted himself off. "Lunch is almost over, so I've got to get back to class. I'll see ya later bud." Ranma said as he walked off.
Ryoga watched Ranma walk off. He still couldn't believe it, Master Asia? The man hasn't been seen in years! How on Earth could Ranma have been able to become his student? He tried to see if Ranma was lying, but Ryoga knew Ranma would never lie about anything that had to do with martial arts.
'Ranma really has been improving.' Ryoga thought to himself.
'I haven't exactly been sitting on my hands this whole time I was hunting him down. But if Ranma really has been training with THE Master Asia, then when our fight starts, I won't have the luxury of holding back. I'll have to use everything I learned while I was in Brazil to take him down.'
As the day went on, Celestia was in her office, nursing yet another headache, when her sister walked in.
"Celestia?" She asked. Celestia looked up.
"Yeah?" She said with a disinterested look on her face.
"Have you noticed that there is a young man tied to a tree outside the school?" She asked. Celestia looked up to her sister.
"Yeah, I've noticed. And apparently, that's Ranma's old sparring buddy, Ryoga." Luna still confused, tilted her head.
"Ok...why is he here and why is he tied to a tree?" She asked her sister. Celestia looked at her sister, her annoyed expression not leaving her face.
"Apparently, he wants to fight Ranma again. And he seems to have absolutely no sense of direction and if he's left alone, he'll apparently get lost and end up who knows where."
Luna looked at her sister wide eyed.
"You're joking," she said. Celestia kept glaring at her younger sister as she pulled out a bottle of aspirin.
"No, I'm not. I just got off the phone with his and Ranma's old school. Apparently, Ranma had to walk the boy not only to his classes, but to and from his own house." She said as she popped an aspirin in her mouth and took a big gulp of the tea she saved for when she had a headache.
Luna was speechless. Ranma was a big enough problem to deal with. Now they have another one to deal with.
"Sis," Luna said as she approached her stressed out sister. "Let me have some of that too." Celestia gave her sister an aspirin and some tea. And she gulped them both down in one shot.
The day went by until finally, 3:15 came around. No one at Canterlot High had ever seen Ranma move as fast as he did today. Even Rainbow Dash was shocked at the speed in which her friend and sensei dashed out the door.
"Wow..." Was all she said. All the others were equally speechless. Eventually however, they snapped out of it as Rainbow rushed to the door.
"Come on everybody!" She cried. "Ranma's about to fight some rival of his and I'm sure it's going to be a good one!" Pinkie decided to jump in.
"Yeah, come on! Now you'll get to see the guy who trained Flash how to fight in action!" As she said this, everybody in ear shot went running for the door.
"Hm, I haven't seen the students run that fast to anything since the time Celestia and Juna said that they were going to lead the swim class last year." Zecora said as she stuck her head out of her class room door.
"Yeah, that was a good day." Pinkie said in a dreamy daze. Rainbow grabbed Pinkie by the arm.
"Come on little miss horny pants." She said as she dragged her off. Fluttershy, however, was not as enthusiastic as the others.
"I still don't like this."
As Ranma got outside, he saw Ryoga finishing up his stretching. He looked over to see his rival coming and started to untie the rope from his waist.
"Are you finally ready Ranma?" He asked as he cracked his knuckles. Ranma cracked his own knuckles and the sides of his neck.
"I've been ready since you first showed up, Ryoga." Ranma replied. As the two rivals stared each other down, they soon gained as an audience of the entire school. Sunset, Flash and the rest of Ranma's friends were at the front of the gathered crowed.
"Man," Flash said. "You can just feel the energy from those two." Sunset couldn't help but agree. She and the others could see the two young man's battle auras flaring to life as they started to circle each other.
"Oh, I do hope Ranma and Ryoga don't hurt each other too badly." Fluttershy said as she kept rubbing her hands anxiously. Rarity was also worried for their pig-tailed friend. From what she saw this Ryoga boy do when he crashed into the concrete earlier and from what Ranma said about the yellow clad man, this did not sound like it was going to be an easy fight.
"Um, everyone, do you think Ranma will be ok?" She asked. Applejack looked between Rarity and the two warriors about to fight.
"I sure hope so."
Ranma and Ryoga stepped one foot at a time as they headed to the front gate of the school. They both agreed that as soon they stepped out of the gate, their fight would begin. They grinned as they neared the gate. And as soon as their feet exited the gate, they clashed!
Ranma and Ryoga threw a punch at each other and they each parried before they bashed their heads against each other. They grinned like Cheshier cats, their eyes sparkled as they struggled against one another.
They separated and dashed off. Ranma, not wanting to wait any longer, charged at Ryoga. He jumped and did a jump-spinning hook kick, sadly, Ryoga ducked under it and tried to retaliate with a low spinning sweep kick only for Ranma to flip and roll away from his rival's attack.
He turned in time to see Ryoga charging at him with a shoulder tackle. He rolled away to avoid the attack and cart-wheeled back to Ryoga and nailed him with a capoeira style mule kick to his solar-plexus. Ryoga stumbled back and saw Ranma continue his assault with a spinning handstand capoeira spin kick.
Ryoga grabbed the kick and tried to kick Ranma in the crotch. Ranma saw the kick coming and used his hands to block the kick. Ranma used his free leg to heel-kick Ryoga's hands and free his trapped leg.
He cart-wheeled away and dashed forward and attacked with a fast barrage of punches. Ryoga did his best to block and parry Ranma's attacks but it was proving hard due to his rival's speed advantage.
But Ryoga still had a few tricks up his sleeves. He managed to catch one of Ranma's fists and punched him in the gut before wrapping his arm behind Ranma's back and executed a Judo throw that caused Ranma to slam into the ground, hard.
Ryoga took this opportunity to try and put Ranma in an arm bar, but as soon as he tried to put pressure on his arm, Ranma managed to throw off the one of Ryoga's legs that was trying to pin him down and rolled over to try and attack Ryoga.
Ryoga managed to throw Ranma off and kicked him away so he could get back to his feet. The two rivals circled each other, looking for any kind of opening. Ryoga made the next move, attacking Ranma with a shuffling round-house kick and followed up with a one-two punch combo.
Ranma blocked the kick and blocked the first punch before parrying the second one before sneaking under Ryoga's arm and delivering a punch to his ribs that collapsed into an elbow strike, then dropped into a sweep kick that knocked Ryoga off his feet.
Ryoga rolled away as Ranma followed after him. Ranma did a flipping axe-kick to try and strike his enemy while he was down, but Ryoga managed to avoid it and get to his feet and did the same handstand pin kick that Ranma did earlier and smacked the pig-tailed youth in the face.
As Ranma fell away from the pain of the kick, Ryoga made a beeline to tackle him, only for Ranma to mule kick him back as he did a kick-up to get back on his feet. Ranma ran to Ryoga and did a jump-spinning back kick that pushed the lost boy back more.
As Ranma tried to go in for a side kick, Ryoga recovered enough to do a block that ended up turning into a leg catch. He grabbed Ranma's shoulder and did a leg sweep that knock him back down. Ranma kicked Ryoga off and rolled to Ryoga and did a crouching high side kick that nailed Ryoga in the chest.
As Ryoga back stepped from the blow, Ranma executed one of his favorite attacks.
"Shouryuken!" He cried as he did a jumping uppercut that hit Ryoga in the chin, sending him flying. All the students that were watching cheered as Ranma knocked his rival down. Ryoga shook the cobwebs out of his head as he flipped back to his feet.
"Nice shot, Ranma," says Ryoga. Ranma smiled at his rival.
"I told you I've learned some new tricks, Ryoga." Ryoga smiled an evil smile as he stared down his rival.
"Yeah, but so have I... Ko-Ou Ken!" He shouted as he fired a projectile of pure energy at Ranma.
"YIPE!" He cried out as he dive-rolled out of the way of the oncoming projectile. Before Ranma could breathe a sigh of relief, Ryoga was on him again, this time with a barrage of rapid jabs that struck the poor boy hard and fast.
"Zanrestuken!" He cried! To the onlookers, Ryoga's fist looked like a complete blur! Ranma was knocked back from the force of the last punch, but before he could recover, Ryoga jumpped at him with yet another attack.
"Hien Shippuu Kyaku!" He cried as he executed a flying kick. He followed it up with a spin kick that continued into another kick. Ranma hit the ground hard and rolled on the ground in pain. Ranma struggled to get back on his feet. Ryoga grinned as he charged at his downed enemy.
Fighting against the pain, Ranma rolled away from Ryoga and tried to sweep kick his legs out from under him. Ryoga jumped back to avoid the kick, but it gave Ranma enough time get back to his feet and prepare to clash with his rival again.
While Ranma prepared to continue the fight, the others looked on in sock of what they just saw Ryoga do.
"Ok, did you guys see that?" Flash said to the girls. They all nodded.
"Boy, that guy really is one tough customer." Spike said from behind Twilight's leg. Rainbow and Applejack stroked their chins in thought.
"Say," Rainbow Dash started to say, "Did you guys notice something about those techniques Ryoga used?" She asked. Applejack nodded.
"Yeah. They look an awful like the same techniques Ranma's been teaching us for the last two months, only a bit different." The others couldn't help but agree.
"I thought Ranma said that Ryoga was mostly self-taught? How could he know techniques like that?" Fluttershy asked to no one in particular.
"Hmm." Sunset hummed to herself. "Ranma also said that Ryoga's got a knack for ending up in different places. Maybe he ended up somewhere where he could learn those moves. And now he's using them on Ranma." Sunset had no idea how right she was. Back at the fight, Ranma's mind raced through the last few seconds. Those moves Ryoga used, they were so similar to some of the ones he learned from Master Asia. So similar, yet some slight differences. Then, it clicked in his head.
"Kyokugen ryu." He said. "You're using Kyokugen ryu Karate aren't you, Ryoga?" The lost boy only grinned at his rival.
"I should have known you'd guess it, Ranma." He said confidently. "While traveling the world looking for you, I ended up in Brazil. There I met a master of Kyokugen ryu and he took me in as his disciple. I didn't stay long, but I stayed long enough to learn some of their special moves. And I've practiced them to perfection so that as soon as I found you, I could end you!"
He shouted as he charged at Ranma again. Ranma was ready this time though. As Ryoga came at him with another Zanretsuken, Ranma retaliated with his own rapid speed. Long ago, Master Asia taught him the secret to the super speed, the chestnut roasting on an open fire fist, the very speed technique that he's been teaching Flash and Applejack.
He used to use it as a special technique, but he's long since mastered how to use that speed without using it as a technique. And just in time too, because if he hadn't, Ryoga might actually have him beat in speed for once.
As he parried Ryoga's strikes, he noticed that Ryoga was making the same mistake of keeping one of his arms tucked to his body like Applejack was doing before. So, after parring the last of Ryoga's jabs, Ranma grabbed Ryoga's wrist and pulled him into a punch. Ryoga was quick enough to block it, but that's just want Ranma wanted.
"Not bad Ryoga, but..."
He slid his hand around Ryoga's block, grabbed the other wrist, pulled him into a headbutt and then proceeded to cross his arms and throw him over his hip. Ryoga fell and tried to get back up, but as soon as he did, Ranma headed right for him and nailed him with one of his own moves.
"Shoryuken!"
Ryoga took the hit right in the chin, lifting him up and sending him sailing a few feet. As he shook the stars from his vision eyes, he looked at a smirking Ranma.
"But those techniques are just pale imitations campared to the original Ansatuken techniques Master Asia taught me."
Ryoga growled at Ranma and charged again. Ranma side-step Ryoga's rushing punches and kicks, blocked a blind backfist, and struck Ryoga in the elbow before rolling it into an armbar that took him to the ground.
But Ryoga managed to turn just enough to relieve the pressure on his arm and catch himself on his shoulder and kicked Ranma's feet out from under him. Ranma rolled away as Ryoga attacked again.
"Kou-Ou Ken!" Ryoga cried as he threw out his left hand and fired another blast of ki. But Ranma was prepared for it this time. He brought his hands to his side and quickly threw them out in front of himself.
"Hadouken!" Cried Ranma, as he fired his own ki blast at Ryoga's. The two blasts clashed and cancelled each other out, as this happened, Ranma dashed toward his rival and attacked with a flying side kick.
Seeing this, Ryoga dodged to the right to avoid the kick, only to get hit by a combo of a front snap kick, uppercut, left-cross and a spinning hook-kick. Ryoga stumbled and rolled from the strikes. Ranma went for a grapple, but Ryoga saw him coming form over his shoulder and shot out a kick to keep Ranma back. Ranma back peddled and regained his composure as Ryoga got back on his feet.
Ryoga fired another Kou-Ou Ken, Ranma dodged but that was just what Ryoga wanted. As Ranma dodged, Ryoga jumped back at him with another Hien Shippu Kyaku. Ranma barely dodged in time, but as Ryoga flew past him, Ranma smirked and hit him with his own move.
"Tatsumaki Senpuu Kyaku!"
Ryoga looked back only to get hit by a continuously spinning kick. Ryoga fell down as Ranma jumped onto him and attempted to put him in an arm bar. Ryoga felt the pressure on his arm and screamed. Ranma kept the pressure on, hoping to put an end to this before they caused any real damage to their surondings.
"Give it up Ryoga!" Ranma said as he pushed his hips up and pulled down on Ryoga's arm. Ryoga cried in pain, but just like Ranma, he didn't know the meaning of defeat.
"Never!" He cried. Thinking quickly, he brought his opposite hand up Ranma's leg and fired a blast of ki at his leg.
"AAAHHHHH!" Ranma screamed as he felt the blast of ki burn his leg, causing him to lose his grip on Ryoga's arm and he managed to slip out and roll away. Ranma gripped his leg and as he felt pain course through him.
"Who should be giving up now Ranma?" Ryoga said with a smug grin. Ranma looked at him and glared as he got back to his feet, wincing from the pain but fighting through it.
"Cheap shot pal." Ranma channeled ki to his leg to numb out the pain and got back in his stance to prepare to keep fighting. Ryoga charged at his weakened enemy and shot out a jump kick, followed by a five-strike combo of punches and kicks, but even while he was waiting for adrenaline and his ki to numb out his pain, he still had enough tricks to keep Ryoga at bay.
As Ryoga attacked, Ranma parried the first kick and used his Jeet Kune DO and Wing Chun skills to counter Ryoga's follow up strikes. He then parried down one of Ryoga's arms, struck his bicep with his elbow, then struck out with a open palm strike to his temple, then in one quick movement, brought Ryoga down into a knee strike and then into a throw that put him in a goose-neck arm lock.
He would have broken Ryoga's arm, but Ryoga managed to slip out and roll over Ranma's legs to take him down. They wrestled for a brief time, but Ranma broke free of Ryoga's grip by hitting him in the head with another elbow and rolled away enough to shoot out backflip kick.
As the two kept fighting, the gathered crowd of students watching couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"Man," Flash said, to himself more than anybody. "They're evenly matched." Rainbow was also in awe at the show of their skills.
"I've never seen anyone give Ranma this much trouble except Master Asia." Applejack nodded.
"Sheesh. No wonder Ranma spoke so highly of this lost boy."
"I can't bear to watch this. It's too brutal." Fluttershy said as she hid her face with her hands. But she spread her fingers so she could still see.
"Come on Ranma!" Pinkie cried out to her friend. "You can take this guy!" Rarity was biting her lip and gripping her hair from the stress of watching her friend in what appeared to be the fight of his life.
"Um, Twilight?" Sunset asked. "You think Ranma will be, ok?" Twilight looked at her friend.
"What, of course! I have faith in him! Hahahahahaha. Why do you ask?"
"Because you're biting my finger nails off." Twilight looked down and saw that she was indeed biting Sunset's nails. She let go and scooted away.
"Heh heh. Sorry."
Back with the two martial artists, Ranma was feeling the pain in his leg lessen to the point that he could use it again. He did a shuffle side-kick that sent Ryoga back a bit and then did a spinning hook kick followed by a 360-tornado kick that pushed him back again. Ranma did a back spinning 360-hook kick that unfortunately, Ryoga dodged.
Ryoga sweep kicked Ranma on his way down from the kick and tried to do a falling axe kick on him. Ranma rolled away as they got up, Ranma shot at Ryoga with another Shoryuken. Ryoga stumbled again and Ranma to poor on the pressure again.
But Ryoga snapped out of it in time to block Ranma's punches and kicks. As Ranma tried to go for a high round house kick to the head, Ryoga turned his block into a grab and tried to go for another take down, but Ranma was quicker and did a perfect front flip-kick to Ryoga's chin.
Ryoga was sure that he was going to have multiple cracks on his chin at this rate, but that was the least of his worries. Ranma came at him again with a flurry of rapid punches that put his Zanretsuken to shame. Then he let loose a barrage of rapid-fire kicks that looked like they were a blur before ending his assault with a jump sinning hook kick that looked like it belonged in a tricking demonstration.
Ryoga went flying form the kick and looked like he was finally starting to tire. He struggled to get back up, but fell to the ground again, exhausted from the pummeling he received from Ranma.
"It's over Ryoga." Ranma said to the downed boy. "You might as well give up." But Ryoga was not having it. He balled up his fists and looked up at his rival.
"No." He said as he struggled to his feet. "I won't...give up..." Ranma shook his head at his stubborn rival.
"Look man, I know you're mad about me not being there for our final fight at that lot but..."
"THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS!" Ryoga screamed at Ranma in rage. Ranma was taken aback by that. Ryoga managed to get to his feet.
"What?" Ranma asked.
"That stupid fight has nothing to do with why I'm angry right now!" Ryoga shouted as he charged at Ranma again. Ranma did his to parry Ryoga's strikes as he tried to comprehend his rivals' words.
"Wait! Hold on!" He said as he dodged Ryoga's attacks. Ryoga didn't even bother to answer as he lashed out with another kick. Ranma managed to catch the attacking leg and executed a takedown sweep. Once Ryoga was on the ground, Ranma went down with him and put him in a very painful leg lock.
"Now, what in the world has got you so mad at me if it's not the fight we never had?" Ranma asked his enraged enemy. Ryoga howled in pain, but managed to calm down just enough to answer Ranma's question.
"Don't play dumb! Don't tell me you forgot about what happened in China!" He screamed at his rival. Ranma was so puzzled by what Ryoga said that he lost his grip on his leg. Ryoga used this opportunity to roll away from Ranma and get back to his feet. Ranma did the same, but instead of getting back in a fighting stance, he put his hands up.
"Whoa whoa whoa! Hold up! What are you talking about, what happened in China?" Ranma asked. Ryoga only seemed to get angrier.
"Don't play dumb with me Ranma!"
"I'm not." He said back to him. "I honestly don't know what you're talking about. I never even saw you in China." Ranma said in his defense.
"Oh, COME ON!" Ryoga shouted back. "You mean you really don't remember wat you did to me!?"
"No." Ranma said in all honesty. "Like I said before, I didn't even know you were in China while I was there. Where exactly did we supposedly bump into each other while in China?" He asked. Ryoga grew so mad his battle aura exploded in a deep green blast.
"YOU KICKED ME IN THE FACE WHILE AT JUSENKYO!"
That made Ranma stop dead in his tracks, his blood turning into ice water. Unknown to the two fighters, Flash and the girls managed to overhear what they were talking about.
"You-you followed me to Jusenkyo?" He asked.
"YES!" Ryoga shouted back to him. "I followed you to Jusenkyo and saw you and your father sparring. I saw you knock your father into one of those springs and come out a panda! And then I saw him knock you into one and you came out a girl! And while you were beating him up for that, YOU KICKED ME INTO ONE OF THOSE STUPID SPRINGS!"
Ranma thought back to that day. He honestly could not remember seeing Ryoga anywhere around the place. Then, he remembered feeling his foot make contact with something that felt like a face.
"Well, I do remember kicking something that felt like a face, but I thought it was just my imagination." Ranma said out loud. Ryoga charged at Ranma in another rage.
"DOSE MY FACE LOOK LIKE A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION!" He said as he attacked again. Ranma avoided the onslaught of blows but his resolve to fight was fading. Now that he knew why Ryoga was so mad, all he wanted to do was talk this out.
"Ryoga...hold on! I didn't... know... you... WAH!...Were...there!" Ranma tried to say as he dodged and parried his rival's punches and kicks. Ryoga wasn't listening however. What he did do though, was pull off his bandana and used it to tie his and Ranma's hands together.
"Huh!?" Ranma was so caught off guard that he couldn't avoid the punch that nailed him in the face and in the gut.
"OPH!" He cried as Ryoga attempted to pummel Ranma to the death. Recovering from his shock, Ranma blocked and struck out at Ryoga with his own attacks.
"Ryoga! Chill!" He said in between strikes. "It was an accident! I didn't mean to..."
"Shut up and fight!" Ryoga said as he tackled Ranma to the ground. Ranma, however was starting to get annoyed. As he fought off Ryoga, he channeled wind ki into his bound hand and created blade of wind that cut him free. He then kicked Ryoga up and over himself and rolled away back to his feet.
Ryoga turned and threw more bandanas at Ranma, only they were sailing through the air like shuriken! Ranma dodged on reflex and was glad he did. The bandanas all sunk into the ground as if they were made of steel.
"Yikes!" He said. He turned to Ryoga, only to see even more bandana shurikens coming at him! Ranma bobbed, weaved, and back flipped to avoid the oncoming projectiles.
"Whoa!" Twilight said. "First we find out that Ryoga followed Ranma to Jusenkyo, and now he's using bandanas like they were throwing knives!?"
"Just how much weirder can this fight get?" Applejack asked. As if in answer to her question, Ranma stopped his flipping and channeled wind ki into his hands again to turn them into blades.
"Tourouzan!" Ranma cried out as he swiped his hands at the bandana shurikens and knocked them all out of the way, leaving them to fall to pieces.
"HUH!?" Everyone said as they saw what Ranma just did. Ryoga was shocked but recovered as Ranma used his superior speed to close the distance between them.
"Shoryureppa!" He cried as he executed a Shoryuken, then another, then another, until he became a human drill that launched Ryoga high into the air on his spinning fist. Then he kicked Ryoga away and fired another variant of the Hadoken.
"Zanku Hadoken!" Ranma cried as he fired two one handed Hadokens at Ryoga. While this attack could allow him to fire more than one Hadoken at a time, they were only half as powerful as the original. But that was enough to blast Ryoga back even further.
As Ryoga hit the ground he got up in time to see Ranma descending on him in a flying side kick. Ryoga, however, still had a few tricks up his sleeve.
"Haoh Shoukou Ken!" Ryoga cried as he brought his hands together in front of himself and fired a giant blast of orange ki at Ranma. Ranma yelped as he braced himself, coating his body in ki to try and lessen the blow. The blast hit him dead on and threw him backwards. Ranma screamed in pain as he hit the ground from the blast.
Ryoga charged at the downed pig-tailed boy. Ranma was still struggling from the pain of the last blast, but as he saw Ryoga jump up into the air and try to crash land on him, Ranma forced himself into a roll to avoid having the other boy crash on his chest.
Ryoga turned to the spot where his rival rolled to, only to get hit in the face by a breakdancing style spinning kick from said pig-tailed boy. Ranma flipped back to his feet and readied himself to continue his fight. Ryoga growled as he got to his feet and fired one of his own variations of the Kyokugen ryu techniques.
"Ko-Ou Rendon!" Ryoga cried as he fired a rappid barrage of Ko-Ou Ken blasts at Ranma, but Ranma managed to dodge the attacks, running around Ryoga and slowly closing the distance between them. Before the wild looking even knew it, Ranma managed to ash into him, elbow first, right in his solar plexus.
"OOPH!" He said, before Ranma followed up with another Shoryuken followed by a Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku. Ryoga could feel the pain form all of the hits he's taken start to take their toll on him, but he was for sure that Ranma must be closing in on his own limit too.
"Ryoga! Listen to me!" Ranma tried to say to his rival. But Ryoga wouldn't listen. In a rage, Ryoga prepared to fire another Haoh Shoukou Ken, fully believing that Ranma had no counter for that technique. But that's where he was wrong.
"Haoh Shoukou Ken!" Ryoga cried.
"Shinku Hadoken!" Ranma cried as he fired a giant blast of blue energy at Ryoga's orange blast. The two attacks cancelled each other out in a spectacular flash of light that caught the onlookers and Ryoga by surprise.
"HUH!?" Ryoga said in shock. His strongest technique, and Ranma had a counter for even that!?
"NOW are you going to listen to me, dumbass?" Ranma asked the lost boy. Meanwhile, back at Canterlot High, Celestia and Luna were watching the flashes of light from the battle between the two superhuman martial artists as they moved further away as their fight went on.
"Looks just like old times to me, don't you think big sis?" Luna asked her sister with a cheeky grin. Celestia just buried her face in her hands.
"Shut. The hell up. Luna." Celestia said. Back at the fight, Ryoga overcame his shock and glared at Ranma again.
"Grrrrrr. I'm not going to calm down until I see you on the ground in defeat!" He said as he charged at Ranma. Ranma was really starting to get annoyed with his rival's stubbornness. He ran in one direction, hoping to lead Ryoga away from the rest of the student body that was still watching their fight.
"You're not getting away!" Ryoga shouted as he chased after Ranma. As Ranma tried to lead Ryoga from the main part of town, Ryoga managed to swipe his umbrella from the spot it he had thrown it earlier when he ditched his back pack when the fight first started. As Ryoga closed the distance between himself and Ranma, he started taking swipes at him.
Ranma managed to evade the strikes and after a few more evasions, Ranma did a quick duck and sweep kick to Ryoga's legs. The two rolled away from each other and as they got up, Ryoga charged at Ranma again. Ranma dodged the strikes coming from his left then right then left again. As Ryoga lunged in for another attack, Ranma grabbed his wrist and used a wrist lock throw and once Ryoga was on the ground, twisted his wrist to make him let go of his weapon.
In a rage, Ryoga kicked Ranma away and jumped to his feet, grabbed his umbrella and, in a fit of rage, hurled it at Ranma. Ranma managed to duck under the projectile, only for it to go flying into a nearby fire hydrant! Ryoga jumped back to avoid the spray of water as it came down on the unsuspecting Ranma. Ryoga could only grin and laugh at what he thought would be a very unpleasant turn of events for Ranma.
"Ha! Sucks to be you Ranma! I bet it sucks having to...have...your...curse..." Ryoga trailed off as he saw that Ranma, despite being drenched to the bone, had not switched into his cursed form.
"Huh!?"
Ranma smirked at his shocked rival. He grinned a devilish grin of his own as he strolled out of the cascade of falling water.
"Surprise!" He said as he held his arms out. Ryoga went slack jawed at what he had just seen, his left eye twitching.
"But! But...your curse!? How? Why?" Was all he could manage to say. Ranma chuckled at Ryoga and decided to spill the truth.
"Yeah, see the thing is, I was cursed for almost two years. But, after I came here, my friends over there (points to Sunset, Twilight and the others), have a friend who is REALLY skilled in magic who they managed to convince to cure me. Sooooo, ha ha!"
It was at this point, Ryoga went from being speechless and twitching, to just being straight up pissed off.
"WHAT!?" He screamed as his aura exploded outward. Ranma took a step back, thinking that maybe rubbing the fact that he was cured in his rival's face, wasn't the smartest move.
Ryoga charged in at blinding speed and attacked Ranma once again. Ranma managed to block and parry his strikes, but he could feel that Ryoga's strength had increased considerably. Ranma tried to lash out with some punches and kicks, but Ryoga seemed to be brushing them off, or at least be so mad that he was ignoring the pain the strikes were causing him.
"YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT WHILE I WAS SUFFERING AS AN ANIMAL THAT COULD'T DEFEND IT'S SELF, YOU WERE LIVING IT UP, ALL CURED AND SURROUNDED BY CUTE AND HOT GIRLS!?" Ryoua shouted at the top of his lunges as he amped up his attacks. While Ranma was stuck on the defensive, he noticed that while Ryoga's attacks were slightly faster and way stronger now, they were starting to get very sloppy.
As Ranma was evading his enraged rivals' attacks, Flash noticed one of his friends, Sandalwood, was trying to pick up Ryoga's umbrella. Key word, trying.
"Yo Sandal," He said to his struggling friend. "What's wrong? Can't pick up an umbrella?" The green haired boy looked up to his rocker friend.
"Not this one. It must weigh a ton!" Flash looked at him skeptically and tried to lift the umbrella n question, only to fall to his knees.
"What the!?" He cried. Sunset and the others looked over to the blue haired teen and wondered what happened.
"Flash? You ok?" Sunset asked her friend.
"Sandalwood was right, this umbrella is freaking heavy as heck!"
"What?" Sunset asked as she tried her luck, only to fall over from the weight.
"The Hell!?" She says as she looked over to Applejack.
"AJ, see if you can lift this thing up."
"OK?" Applejack said with a shrug. She tried to lift the umbrella, and had as little luck as they did.
"What in the name of...?" It got to the point that she had to use her magic to lift the umbrella up at all!
"This thing really does weigh a ton! I have to use my magic just to pick it up." As she said that, the others thought about how, just a moment ago, Ryoga was swinging that very same umbrella as if it weighed nothing.
"Crap..." Rainbow said with a gasp. Fluttershy turned to the fight and shouted to Ranma at the top of her lungs.
"Ranma! Don't let Ryoga hit you! He's a monster!" She shouted, trying to warn Ranma of Ryoga's monstrous strength. But Ranma knew all too well what Ryoga was capable of, having known the crazy training Kyokugen ryu practitioners have been known to go through.
Ranma evaded another of Ryoga's wild swings and, seeing an opening, did a quick 360 tornado kick, nailing Ryoga in the chest. As Ryoga tried to turn on Ranma, our pig-tailed hero smashed his rival in the face with an inverted left-elbow strike, followed by a right-side elbow to the nose, which he followed up by grabbing the back of Ryoga's head and brought him into a knee strike. After another knee strike, Ranma threw his rival over his shoulder.
As Ryoga rolled with his landing, he looked back to his rival, only to see Ranma's fist engulfed in flames coming at him.
"Shinryuken!" Ranma cried as he tried to take Ryoga's head off. Ryoga, however, managed to avoid the flaming punch and retaliated with a spinning back-kick. Ranma doubled over and was hit by Ryoga's follow up round house kick to the temple. Ranma went flying from the kick and was seeing stars. But through the haze of stars, he could see Ryoga charging up all of his ki into another blast. Ranma was about to dodge, when he looked behind him and noticed that all the kids from the school had followed them to this spot!
Ranma knew that if he tried to dodge this blast, not everyone behind him would be able to avoid the blast. Rarity could make one of her shields, but he wasn't sure that her barriers would be able to handle a blast as strong as the one Ryoga was about to fire. So, he only had one choice, he brought his hands together and charged up his own attack, while at the same time, thinking up a strategy to bring this fight to an end.
"Haoh Shoukou Ken!"
"Shinku Hadoken!"
And with that, two blasts of blue and orange light fired at each other, covering the surrounding area in a bright flash of light that could be seen as far as the Apple family farm. As the blinding light faded from his field of vision, Ryoga rubbed his eyes, hoping to see what had become of his pig-tailed rival. But all he saw, was a foot infused with an aura of blue ki heading straight for him!
"Ryusei Kyaku!" Came Ranma's voice as his foot crashed into Ryoga's abdomen. Ryoga coughed up a bit of blood from the pain of the attack and was sent flying backwards from the sheer force of the blow. As Ranma landed from the kick, he looked over to see Ryoga flying straight for the geyser of water that was created when Ryoga smashed the fire hydrant earlier.
"RYOGA!" Ranma creid, but it was too late, as his rival screamed at the top of his lungs when his body hit the fountain of water. Ranma ran around to other side of the fountain of water, only to see his Rivals clothes on the ground, soaked all the way through. But no body. No Ryoga. And no animals around that he could have turned into.
Then Ranma remembered that Ryoga mentioned that he was transformed into something that could not defend itself. He panicked, and started looking around.
"Ryoga?" He said as he hurriedly looked around. "RYOGA!?" He called out again. Still nothing. As he looked around, Sunset and the others jogged up to their battered friend.
"Ranma" Sunset said as she got closer to him. "What's wrong? Where's Ryoga?" Ranma looked to his gathered group of friends.
"Guys! You've got to help me find Ryoga! He followed me to Jusenkyo!" And that got the others to gasp.
"So that's what he and you were talking about when he shouted something about Jusenkyo?" Twilight asked her friend. Ranma nodded.
"So then, he's cursed like you were?" Flash asked his mentor.
"Yes." Ranma said. "And he said something about turning into something that can't defend itself and now I can't find him!" He said in a slightly scared tone of voice.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Pinkie said as she jumped into action. "Let's find him!" Before she could fun off however, Rainbow grabbed her by the collar.
"Hold on!" She said, "Why should we look for that guy? Not only did he try to kill you (She said pointing at Ranma), but he also nearly blew half of our schools' student body to smithereens. Why should we bother looking for that creep?" Ranma took a breath.
"Look, I agree the guy is unstable and has a few screws loose, but apparently, it is somewhat my fault that he got cursed to turn into, something. Plus, despite our differences, he's the closest thing I ever had to a friend before I met you guys. So come on, please. I'm begging." Fluttershy, being the kind person she is, was the first to step up.
"I'll help you, Ranma." She said as she laid a hand on Ranma's shoulder. He smiled at her.
"Thanks, Fluttershy." She smiled at his thanks. Pinkie jumped up to her two friends.
"I'll help too! But only because you're my friend Ranma-kun." She said, making Ranma smile at her too. Rarity huffed and walked over to them.
"I'll help to. But as Pinkie said, I'm only doing this for you, Ranma-darling." Rainbow Dash gave a long sigh.
"Count me in too. But I'm pounding the guy the second I find him," she said. Flash and the others joined in.
"I guess it's unanimous," he said. Twilight adjusted her glasses as she stepped to the middle of the group.
"Alright guys! Pair up. Let's split up and look for any animals that look like they're acting strange," she said.
"Either that or a naked Japanese boy in a leopard printed bandana." Said Sunset.
The group of friends split up and looked all over town for Ryoga, or for whatever he had turned into. They looked high and low, but even with Fluttershy's ability to talk to animals, they still had no luck in their search.
Later that night, Ranma was sitting at his house, his head in his hands, a look of utter defeat on his face. No sign of Ryoga anywhere. He sighed heavily as master Asia walked up to his young ward.
"Ranma," He began. "I know you feel bad for what happened to your friend, but there's no need for you to be this depressed. If what he said to you was true, and he managed to survive this long with this curse of his, then I'm sure he'll be alright." Ranma looked up to his master.
"Yeah, I'm sure you're right master." He said. "But that still doesn't stop me from feeling guilty."
As time went on, the others came in to report, and still nothing. That is, until Fluttershy came in.
"Hey everyone, look what I found wondering around town!" She said, presenting to the group of friends a small black piglet. The others looked at her like she was nuts.
"Um, Fluttershy," Applejack said first. "That ain't exactly who we were supposed to be looking for," she said. Fluttershy hugged the little piglet to her ample bosom.
"I know. But I saw him wondering through the streets while we were looking for Ryoga. He looked so lost and when I asked him where he came from, he acted like he didn't know." She said as she rocked the piglet in her arms. As she did, Ranma couldn't help but notice that it looked like the piglet was blushing. It even had a small trickle of blood coming from its nose.
Sunset walked over to her pink haired friend and took a closer look at the little piglet. When she did, she noticed that the piglet had a bandana wrapped around its neck.
"Fluttershy, it looks like this little guy may belong to someone." Fluttershy looked at the bundle in her arms.
"That's what I thought too. But every time I try to ask him, he starts to stutter and act all bashful. It's like he's too embarrassed to tell me. Which is very strange." She said as she scratched the little piglet's head. "I've never had this kind of trouble with an animal before."
The piglet seemed to blush again and tried to snuggle further into Fluttershy's breasts. But as he did, Fluttershy noticed even more blood leaking from his nose.
"Not again." She said as she pulled him free of her bosom and wiped the blood from his snout.
"That keeps happening a lot." She said as she doctored the pig. Pinkie crossed her arms in a huff.
"My nose would be bleeding like that too if I was snuggled up to Fluttershy's big boobies. Lucky little pig."
Ranma giggled at Pinkie's reaction to the little pig who was still snuggling with Fluttershy. Then he noticed the bandana around his neck. It was leopard printed. And it looked a lot like the one Ryoga was wearing during their fight.
"Let me see him." Ranma said as he tried to get closer to the piglet, only for it to oink loudly at him and give him a mean death glare. It even looked like it was trying to attack him, that is, until Fluttershy pulled him back and tried to sooth the little creature.
"That's strange. He hasn't done that before." She said as she tried to pacify the little piglet. Ranma stared at the little creature. It acted like it wanted to tear him apart. But how could one little creature, one that couldn't even defend itself...
Then, Ryoga's words came back to him. He said that he was cursed to turn into something that couldn't defend itself. And this little piglet, one that truly seemed to hate him, who was wearing a bandana that was just like Ryogas, had just showed up out of nowhere, and seemed to be as shy around girls as Ryoga himself was.
'No,' Ranma thought to himself. 'It couldn't be. Could it?'
Ranma adopted a thoughtful look as he stared at the little black piglet, who was still nuzzling himself into Fluttershy's bosom. Only one way to know for sure if his hunch was correct.
"You know, Fluttershy," Ranma started to say to his light-pink haired friend. "That little piggie looks awfully dirty. I think he needs a nice, hot, bath."
His words had the desired effect. The little piglet's eyes shot open and he started to look fearful.
"I think that's a good idea Ranma." Fluttershy said. That one did it.
The pigglet jumped from Fluttershy's grasp and ran for its life, only to be stopped by Ranma.
"And where do you think you're going, P-Chan?" Ranma said to the piglet. Said piglet screamed and tried to break free, only to feel Fluttershy patting and stroking its head.
"There, there, little one." She said in a soothing tone. "We're just going to get you all nice and cleaned up."
The piglet screamed in its own language, 'No bath, no bath!' But the more it struggled, the more Ranma grinned. Sunset noticed that grin, and it put her on edge.
"Ranma?" She asked. "Why are you helping Fluttershy with a pet pig?" She asked.
"And why are you dragging us in to help?" Rarity asked. Ranma grinned even more as they entered the bath room where a bath tube filled with steaming hot water was waiting for them.
"THIS, is why." He said as he dunked the little black piglet into the water. They all gasped, Fluttershy more so than the others.
"RANMA!" She screamed in a panic. "What are you doing!?"
"A magic trick." He said, and then brought up his hand to reveal, not a little black piglet, but the very boy that they had been looking for all day.
"TADA!" He said, dramaticly. The gathered crowd of girls gasped again as Ryoga coughed up the water he had accidentally swallowed.
"What are ya trying to do? DROWN ME!?" He shouted at the pig-tailed boy. Ranma just grinned at him.
"Don't you think you should stay down enough to cover your lower half? I mean, there are girl present after all."
That sentence struck Ryoga hard. He looked back and saw the seven girls from before all staring at him. And he suddenly became aware of the fact that he was totally...naked.
"AHH!" He screamed as he sunk back into the water. Poor Fluttershy looked like a tomato at this point.
"You-you mean...all this time...I was...cuddeling...a...a...A BOY!?" She screamed as she fainted dead on the spot. Pinkie on the other hand, just looked straight up mad.
"You mean to tell me, that this CREEP has been using his curse to cuddle Fluttershy's boobies all night!?" She screamed at the young lost boy.
"NO NO NO NO!" Ryoga tried to defend himself. "It's not what you think! I-I tried to get away but she wouldn't let go of me!" He said. But Ranma decided to have some fun at his rival's expense.
"Oh yeah. It looked like you were really uncomfortable as you snuggled into her breasts." He said. Ryoga looked at Ranma with a look of shocked fear. But what he said snapped the other girls out of their stupors.
"Wait, how long were you and Fluttershy snuggling for, huh?" Rainbow Dash asked as she stalked closer to the boy trapped in the tube. Despite the heat of the water, he began to pale.
"Uh, well, uh..." He tried to answer. But the looks of righteous anger on the girls faces tied up his tongue.
"So, while Ranma was so worried about you so much that he talked us into looking for you, you just spent your leisurely time, spooning our friend!?" Said Applejack as she cracked her knuckles. Ryoga gulped hard.
"Why you- you- you perverted CHARLATAN!" Rarity said as electricity started to arc around her and she summoned her diamond shields.
"And to think, we were actually worried about you, you CREEP!" Twilight said as a purple aura of magic appeared around her.
Ranma just smiled as the girls came closer to Ryoga, only to snap himself out of it and step in front of them.
"Um, guys?" He said. "As much as I'm sure Ryoga has this beat down coming to him, I'd like to point out that he is kind of...naked." Ranma said to them.
"You think that'll stop me!" Pinkie said. She pushed Ranma out of the way and jumped at Ryoga, only to hit a diamond shaped sheild.
"Pinkie, Ranma's right." She said in a forced calm voice. "Let's let this, pervert, get dressed. THEN we'll give him what's coming to him." She said with fire in her eyes. Ranma threw Ryoga his clothes from this morning.
"Get dressed dude." He said. "I'll try to talk them out of killing you." He said as he and the others walked out, dragging the unconscious Fluttershy with them.
"Ranma," Sunset said to Ranma as they walked out. "Was that, really necessary?" Ranma looked thoughtful for a moment.
"Necessary, no. Funny as heck...Yes."
After Ryoga got dressed, Ranma had to fight to keep the girls from killing him. After they calmed down, Ranma decided to try and pacify Ryoga with a peace offering.
"You can WHAT!?" HE asked his longtime rival.
"You heard me." Ranma said. "I think me and the others can try to convince their friend who cured me to cure you of your curse too."
"WHAT!?" Pinkie shouted. "Why should we help this creep? Especially after he took advantage of our little Fluttershy." She said as she pulled a still blushing Fluttersy into a tight bear hug.
"NO!" Ryoga said waving his hands. "I swear, I wasn't trying to take advantage of anybody! It was all a big misunderstanding!" He tried to defend himself. The others just looked at him with glares that said they didn't believe him.
"Look, this is all HIS fault!" He said pointing at Ranma.
"YO! How was this my fault exactly?" Ranma said defensively.
"It's your fault I was cursed in the first place!" Ryoga shouted back.
"Hey!" Rainbow Dash butted in. "You're the one that went chasing after him! How was he to know that you were on his tail?"
"Or for that matter, that you were at Jusenkyo at the same time he was?" Twilight added. "Especially if you didn't shout out that you were their or anything."
Ryoga had the decency to blush at this. How was it that these girls were making him out to be the bad guy.
"Look!" Ranma said, getting everyone's attention. "Regardless, it is kind of my fault and I do feel somewhat bad for the guy, so, do you think you could at least try to call Queen Twilight?" He asked. Ryoga looked confused.
"Queen Twilight?" He asked. It was at this point that Ranma and the others told Ryoga all about the girls and their adventures. To say Ryoga was shocked was an understatement.
"Whoa..." Was all he could say. Ranma nodded his head.
"Yep. That's how I felt too." He looke dat his group of friends. "Now, do you think you could help me help this guy out?" He pleaded. The girls looked at each other, debating amongst themselves whether or not to help Ryoga. I mean, he didn't really do much to earn it. Out of all of them, Fluttershy was the one to speak up.
"Guys," she said. "I think we should help him." They all looked at her with shock.
"Fluttershy, are you kidding me!? After that guy took advantage of your kindness while in his curse form?" Rainbow said in disbelief.
"I'm with Rainbow on this one sugar cube." Applejack chimed in. "Why should we help this guy? I mean, what has he done to even deserve our help?"
"Yeah! I say let him be bacon!" Pinkie added in. Fluttershy shook her head.
"Look, I know what he did may not have been the nicest thing. But, think about all the trouble Ranma went through with his curse. Maybe if we help Ryoga with his like we did Ranma, he might become a better person."
Hearing this sweet and kind girl speak up for him, Ryoga bowed with his hands on the floor.
"Please, I don't deserve such kindness. But I promise, if you help me, I'll never do ANYTHING like this ever again!" He said. Sunset looked at the boy, sighed, and took out her magic notebook. After writing her message, a reply came back.
"Queen Twilight says she's busy, but she said her apprentice, Starlight Glimmer, can comeover and help us out." She said. Ryoga looked at Ranma.
"The people around here have some really strange names." He said to his rival. Ranma nodded.
"You're right about that."
The next day, Ranma, Ryoga and the girls were waiting bay the statue for Starlight to appear.
"Sooooo, how long are we going to wait for this pony girl to show up?" Ryoga asked. Sunset shrugged.
"Who knows. It could be a few minutes or..." At that moment, a light shone from the mirror on the statue and out came a very pretty looking girl.
"Never mind." Sunset said as she helped Starlight to her feet. "Hey Starlight." She said as she helped her friend to her feet.
"Sunset!" The new girl cried as she hugged the blond streaked red head. "It's so good to see you again."
She then let go of her and started walking on all fours, looking left to right.
"So where's this guy you wanted me to help?" She kept walking until she came to a pair of legs.
"Heal. Stay. Good girl." Came a voice.
"Hey! I'm not a dooooooggggg..." She trailed off as she looked up and saw, in her opinion, the handsomest man she had seen on two legs.
'Oh my gosh. Queen Twilight wasn't kidding when she said this Ranma guy was cute.' She thought to herself. She blushed and then realized that she was still on all fours.
"Uh...Right." She said as she stood up on her two legs. Ranma could only smile at the girls' antics.
"You must be Starlight. I'm Ranma." He said as he held out his and. She took it and gave it a shake.
"Yeah, nice to meet you Ranma." She said. "So, where's this friend of yours at?"
"Um, that would be me." Came a voice from behind Ranma. She looked behind him and blushed again.
'WOW! This guy's just as cute as Ranma. All be it, a bit more muscular.' Starlight thought to herself.
"I'm Ryoga Hibiki. And I'm sorry to call you away from your home to help me." He said, trying to be as nice as possible. Starlight giggled.
"Oh, it's no problem. In all honesty, I was trying to find an excuse to come back to this world, so, you know." She said with a shrug. She then reaches into her bag and pulls out the same book Queen Twilight used to help Ranma.
"Ok, Sunset, you know the drill. Let's do this." After a little bit of chanting, a blast of magical energy hit Ryoga dead on.
"AAAAAGGGGHHHHHHH!" He cried as he was blasted with energy. After a few seconds, the energy faded and he was on the ground, looking like he had been hit by lightning. Pinkie walked up to the downed young man and splashed him with a cup of water. Just like with Ranma, Ryoga didn't change.
"Whelp, he's cured." She said. Sunset walked up to him.
"Well, you're cured now, so..." She was cut off as Ryoga jumped to his feet and hugged the girl.
"I'M CURED! I'M CURED!" He kept chanting. He ran over to Ranma.
"Ok Ranma, I guess I can forgive you for the whole Jusenkyo thing." He said. "But don't think this means that I'll stop coming after you. I won't stop until I've proven that I'm better than you." Ranma smirked at his rival.
"Honestly, I would have been disappointed if you did stop coming after me. After all, a rival like you only comes along once in a man's life time." The two smiled at each other and clasped hands. A silent vow that they would meet again on the battle field. As Ryoga turned from his rival, he walked over to Fluttershy and took her hand in his.
"Ms. Fluttershy, I'm really sorry for what happened. I never wanted to take advantage of a kind person like you. Can you ever forgive me?" He asked her. Fluttershy just smiled at the lost boy.
"Of course I can. And I hope this means we can be friends Ryoga." She said. Ryoga smiled as he let her hand go.
"Yeah, I'd like that."
And with that, Ryoga picked up his back pack and headed off into the sunset. Starlight walked up to Ranma.
"Um, are you sure you want him to walk off like that." Ranma smiled at the girl.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine." Ranma turned to the others. "So, now that that's settled, who's up for some chow?"
All the girls smiled at that and agreed.
"Want to join us, Starlight?" Pinkie asked as she slung an arm around the dimension displaced girl.
"Sounds like fun to me." She said as they all walked off to get some much-needed food.
Rarity: Hey darlings, it's your favorite fashion forward trend setter Rarity here. After that business with Ryoga, we're all looking forward to some much needed down time.
