Hey guys, Striker777 here with the next chapter of Loki's Renard. Today is the day everyone receives their first alias, and I'm glad you guys have enjoyed reading this enough to stick around to this point. Anyway, be sure to favourite, follow and review.

Shen1412: Hey mate, thanks again. I haven't made any plans on other omakes or him joining other familia, but I'll be sure to think about it if I finish up the Freya one.

BrimazKing: Thanks man, I ain't stopping anytime soon.

NiebieskiLis: Their interactions are going to hit a whole new level of intense in a few chapters, and no problem answering your questions.

With all that being said, onto the story!

Akihide couldn't stop pacing his room, fidgeting with his hands as the minutes ticked by. Today was the day that he would receive his very own alias. He had been excited for this day for half a year, ever since the Denateus Day when he was at the guild with his party during the announcements of the aliases. As the adventurers who received them cheered or cried depending on if they got a good alias, Akihide stared at the paper, wishing his name was on it. And now the day had come, where he was finally recognised by the gods and a second name would be bestowed upon him.

"Can you not?" rhetorically asked Ryuu, who was sitting on the lounge in one of the Twilight Manor's guest rooms. "We get it, it's an exciting day for all of us, but you need to stop pacing around like that. You're only making me nervous." said the elf.

"Come on Ryuu~" sung Ardee, as she grabbed onto the elf from behind in a hug, startling Ryuu as she had no idea how Ardee was able to touch her. "We're all excited. We're getting our aliases after all. How about we all just take a step back and appreciate how wonderful that is?" she said with a warm smile on her face, settling Akihide down and brining a small amount of comfort to Airmid.

"Easy for you to say! The alias of your Captain isn't 'Silex et Chalybe'! Some of us have reason to be concerned!" said the elf, remembering well when Alice got her alias alongside Kaguya a few weeks after she joined. Astraea had come him in shame after receiving the first aliases of her children. Alice had been excited about getting a name to reflect how 'perfect' she was, but was left absolutely devastated after learning her alias mean 'Flint and Steel'. She had played it off as a cool sounding name for all of 3 minutes before giving up. There was no way of making that name sound good once you knew what it meant.

Ardee shuddered. "Look, sometimes the gods are merciful, and we've basically all set a new precedent for the Dungeon, being some of the youngest adventurers to rank up in recent history in the shortest timeframe. I'm sure the gods have taken that into consideration and are giving us names based on our accomplishments." said the cheerful and energetic girl, confident that her god would make sure to get her a great name.

"All in agreement?" asked Hermes, looking over the gods at Denateus, all of whom nodded in eager agreement, apart from one. Hermes smirked as he gave the final announcement. "Very well then. From this moment on, Ardee Varna's alias shall be Haatheepaanv!"

"Noooooooo!" cried out a distraught Ganesha, clutching his mask in what seemed to be physical pain. "Not my Ardee! I'm so sorry! Why did you bastards have to name her 'Elephant Foot'?! What did I ever do to you?! I AM GANESHA!" he finished with a masculine pose.

Astraea sank a little further into her seat, knowing the same was coming for Ryuu. "I'll do my best... to get her a decent name..."

"Well, all we can do is wait and see what happens." said Airmid, the ten year old girl laying back on the couch and resting.

"How can you be so calm about this?" asked Ryuu to the girl, who smirked in response.

"You do know who my god is, right? If someone crosses him at Denateus, he'll raise the price of potions for their Familia. It's cruel, but it works." said Airmid. She had confidence in her surrogate father, who had promised on his life to bring her an alias that was suitable for a member of his Familia.

"OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT!" chanted the gods around the seats of Denateus. Amongst them, Dian Cecht was turning an alarming shade of red as he clenched his fists. It did not dissuade the other gods as they continued chanting, "OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT! OUR SAINT!"

"Oi! Don't fuck with me you bastards! Do you want me to raise your prices beyond what you can afford?!" screamed out the god. "If you even think about naming my dear Airmid that, I'll put you all in so much debt you'll be paying it off for 100 generations!"

"SCARY!" cried out several gods.

"Now someone come up with a good name before I dry the market of potions up that the market price will triple!" yelled out the older looking god. Airmid was going to get a perfect name, or he would drive everyone into a financial hole. End. Of. Story.

The three other kids looked at their young friend with small glares. She sat there, all smug at how she was safer than them from getting a ridiculous alias. Not even Loki, one of the most powerful (politically speaking) gods in Orario, was immune from ridiculous aliases. Finn was the sole exception, and Loki had gotten the Familia into quite a bit of trouble to make his request happen. So the only one who had absolute immunity was Airmid, and the others were none too pleased with how she was flaunting it.

Ryuu sighed. "I need to take my mind of this... mind having a practice spar with me, Ardee?" she asked the slightly older girl. Ardee nodded her head, grabbing her new sword from it's resting place against the wall. "Maybe you guys could watch us, make the time go faster until we find out about our aliases."

Akihide nodded, but grabbed his kunai belt from the rack. "I still need to practice throwing these things, so I should really try and get some more in." said the youngest member of the party. Airmid seemed fine, and just followed them without getting anything. She was just fine watching the three of them, since she didn't want to cause any damage to the home of another Familia.

Ryuu and Ardee faced off from each other, the two locked in their own little world, when they rushed at each other and their blades collided.

"Next on the agenda," said Hermes, looking down the list of Rank Up names that needed to be done, before smirking. "Oh my, our very own Astraea's youngest child, Ryuu Lion. Let's hear it, everyone!" he called out, getting a bunch of claps, snickers and laughs as Astraea sat upright, ready to fight with everything she had for a decent name for her darling daughter, Ryuu.

"Hey..." muttered one of the gods. "Astraea is pretty cute... and she is helping us all with those Evilus spoilsports..."

"Yeah... I guess you're right." said another, looking down at the brown haired goddess. "Not to mention... we were kinda cruel with her Captain and Vice Captain a year ago..."

"Maybe we could go a little easier on little Ryuu, for Astraea's sake." said one of the other goddesses. "It's only fair, right?"

At that moment, Astraea allowed a small shimmer of hope into her heart. The god were kind after all, and even they had a limit to how far they took their fun. For just the briefest moment, she felt at peace.

Then she remembered she lived in reality.

"Wait!" called out a god, a huge smile on his face. "Wouldn't it be even crueler to their Captain and Vice Captain if one of their underlings had a better alias then them?" he stated, before he began laughing.

"That's right!" called out another deity, joining in on the laughter. "That would be so cruel of us gods to her poor Captain and Vice Captain!"

A collective of gods stood up as one and sung out like a choir, "We need to think of something worse! It's only fair!"

Astraea collapsed onto the table in front of her and groaned in agony. "Please don't..." she muttered out, but was drowned out by the gods suggestions.

"How about Kyūtīerufu?" called out one from the Far East.

"Cutie Elf? No way! It's gotta be Lion Mane! Look at those golden locks!" recommended another.

"Forget her hair!" called out a third. "Have you seen her bust? Plana Pectus!"

"Flat Chest? No way! If we're doing that, we're doing it right! No boobs, Non Libris!" yelled out a fourth. Debate soon started between Plana Pectus and Non Libris, as Astraea was loosing her mind.

Astraea slammed her hands on the table and stood up in a righteous fury. "DON'T YOU DARE CALL MY CHILD THAT! I WON'T STAND FOR IT!" she yelled out, glaring at the gods.

"Uh oh! Astraea's pissed!" mocked a goddess to the right. Astraea looked over to see Ishtar smirking at her. "What's wrong, Astraea? It's just a hazing ritual we all go through. Do you think you're so much better than everyone else so you don't have to go through that?" asked the goddess of fertility, her smug smirk still present on her face. Astraea glared hard against Ishtar, who only seemed to smirk back. It seemed an argument was about to start between the two of them before a voice interrupted.

"Scalis Aurae."

Every god and goddess turned their head to where the voice came from, finding only Freya sitting comfortably and regally in her seat. "The child has done something not seen before since those two old gods left Orario 6 years ago, Rank Up in just over a year of having a Falna. Shouldn't we show our respect for that by giving them a respectable alias?" she said softly, but sternly. Her charisma had turned the room in her favour.

"Yeah!" cried out one of the gods originally planning on calling Ryuu Plana Pectus. "Freya is right! We need to give her a damn good alias, and Scalis Aurae would be perfect!"

"Scaled Breeze..." muttered a goddess. "Like the scales of justice and her wind magic? That makes perfect sense! That's a perfect alias!"

"As expected of Freya, perfect in every aspect! Scalis Aurae it is!"

The room was now filled with agreement and civility amongst the gods, Freya having put an end to their needless chatter. Astraea looked at Freya, and gave her an appreciative nod, which Freya waved off, like what she did for Ryuu was nothing.

Hermes smirked. "Now that Ryuu Lion's alias is set as Scalis Aurae, it's time to move on to the main attraction." he said, getting everyone's attention.

"Let us name Loki's new child, the Hero of Orario, Akihide Okami."

On this instance. Freya wasted no time, and raised her hand up in the air. "This child has caught my eye, so I'd like to go first. Is that okay with everyone?" she asked the group. No god raised a single complain, despite Loki looking like she was fighting down several. That got everyone's attention, as it seemed the rumours that Freya and Loki were fighting over Akihide were true. Freya paid this no mind as she stood up. "This child, the youngest adventurer in Orario, has risked his life for us and our children countless times over the past year. He has done much for Orario, and it is only fair that a proper alias be given, especially so since he has broken every Rank Up record." she said, getting mourners of agreement from the gods.

"As the Hero of Orario, it is only fitting that he has a name that reflects that." she said, knowing that her actual desired name, Vanadis Odr, would never make it past Loki. She had to just settle for a name she thought of that reminded her of him. "That is why I recommend this as his name."

Every god and goddess leaned forward to try and listen closer to what was about to be said.

When the gods returned to the Twilight Manor, the overall mood was a mixed bag of treats. Dian Cecht was ecstatic at the alias Airmid had received, Dea Saint, or Saintess of the Battlefield. It made sense for her, seeing as she had both a powerful healing magic and was going to continue in exploring the Dungeon. That and he wouldn't have to go through the hassle of raising the prices of everything by drying up the market.

Astraea was completely relieved by the events of this Denateus. She had gone in hoping for a decent name for Ryuu, but expecting her child to be made out as a joke once more, like she had the rest of her level 2 children. Luckily for her, Freya had come to the rescue and given Ryuu a better name that she could have hoped for. Astraea had thanked Freya properly for it after the meeting, but Freya had simply said she respected Astraea as a goddess who was raising a beautiful and powerful child, and how proud of Ryuu she should be. The alias was only natural, and she was more than happy to be the one to recommend it.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Ganesha, the god of the masses, had been let down. It was a long standing tradition that ever few meetings where Ganesha had a fresh Rank Up, that the person was given an alias that related to some part of an elephant's body. He had been given multiple horrid aliases such as that, but one had not appeared in close to 10 years, so the god thought he was safe. 'Elephant Tail' had been the last one, when Ilta had made level 2. The old pervert, Zeus, had actually been the one to recommend it, having narrowly dodged another incident with Hera, since he once tried to give a child of his the alias 'Elephant Tits'. But now the clock had been set again, and Ardee was stuck with Haatheepaanv until her next Rank Up.

But the one who was suffering the most was Loki. Freya had gone an interfered with Akihide's life again, having chosen his new alias for him. It was infuriating. That cheating eyed, no good slut of a goddess had her eyes on Akihide! Oh, Loki was not going to stand for this. All she needed was for Akihide to make it to level 3, and then Freya's alias would be taken care of. That meant pushing him in training more, and getting some high-rank Excilia in order to Rank Up once more. Until then, he'd just be stuck with Freya's alias.

Speaking of the young boy, he and the rest of Kiddy Party were waiting for the four of them at the entrance to the Twilight Manor. Ardee was the first to notice them, pointing to the approaching group of deities to her friends, who collectively got up and ran over to them, either eager or apprehensive to learn about their new aliases. Ganesha flinched, looking away from Ardee's face, and the other three got to watch as the colour drained from her face, and she shook her head in disbelief. "No..." she muttered, unwilling to accept that she might not have a good alias. "Tell me it ain't so, Ganesha! What is it?!"

Ganesha flinched harder as he had to look his youngest follower in the eyes and tell her that the gods had decided to call her 'Elephant Foot'. The eldest member of Kiddy Party dropped to her knees in total defeat, cursing the gods for forsaking her prayers and giving her such a horrible and cursed name.

Ryuu got extremely anxious over Ardee's alias. Astraea was nowhere near as influential as Ganesha, so for Ganesha to come back with a horrible alias definitely meant that her alias was going to be abysmal. She couldn't look Astraea in the eyes out of fear for her sanity, but her goddess cupped her cheeks in her hands and lifted her head. Ryuu looked into the relieved eyes of Astraea, who was smiling at the girl in reassurance. "Are you reassuring me that my name will change if I hit level 3?" muttered Ryuu in worry, but Astraea shook her head.

"We owe Freya one... Scalia Aurae." said the goddess of justice. Ryuu's eyes shined brightly as her alias was announced, fear leaving her body, and the weight of the world disappearing from her shoulders. Scaled Wind, now that was an alias she could get behind, and one she could rub in Kaguya's face.

Airmid was proved correct with her original hypothesis that Dian Cecht would pull through for her and get a good alias, smiling as she heard the name Dea Saint for the first time. So all that was left was Akihide's alias. He looked at Loki, his young eyes full of curiosity and lacking in patience. Loki sighed as she sat down next to the boy. "When I took you in, I had no idea you would be this much trouble..." she sighed, looking down at the boy next to her, and ruffling his hair. "Aw, but you're growing on me more and more every day. No matter the trouble, I feel, deep in my heart, that it will all be worth it to have such a kind, strong and brave boy in my Familia. You truly are a blessing, Akihide." she said, before standing up.

"The gods have given you a name based on your merits, being the youngest in Orario to Rank Up, in a record breaking time, and performed many admirable feats in protecting Orario from Evilus, fighting in the Dungeon and healing everyone." she said, looking down at him and smirking. "The gods themselves call you 'Hero', and that shall be your alias. You are now Akihide Okami, the Quick Hero, 'Kvikr Sigurd'."

Kvikr Sigurd. The name rang through Akihide's head, his alias rang through his head. Kvikr Sigurd. Kvikr Sigurd. Kvikr Sigurd. He smiled, more than happy with the name the gods have gifted him. "Kvikr Sigurd!" he called out with a smile, rushing into the Twilight Manor. "Kvikr Sigurd! Kvikr Sigurd! I am Kvikr Sigurd!" he called out to anyone listening.

A smile graced Loki's lips as she followed behind him, the others returning to their own homes after a tense day, some happier than others. But all of them would have a chance to work out their excitement or anger the next day, when they were to venture down further than the party ever had before.

Their destination? Floor 15. The group had decided it was time they tested their strength against stronger monsters, and were going to hunt some Minotaur.

"My lady?" asked the hulking figure of Ottar as he walked into the watch room of his beloved goddess, Freya, as she had summoned him. "What may this humble servant do for you?"

Freya turned to Ottar with a small frown on her face. "Ottar, I need someone to set up a 'chance encounter' between myself and Akihide. Loki is doing her best to keep me from interacting with him at all and it simply cannot do. I want him to know it was I who gave him that alias, not the other gods. I want him to thank me, and to view me as someone he can rely on in any scenario. That is how I will get him to join my Familia." said Freya, turning her attention back to the window. "I do not care how it is done, as long as it is done. Please, do not fail me."

"It shall be done, my lady." simply said Ottar, bowing to his goddess as he left. He turned the corner and began to descend down Babel's stairs, only one thought echoing in his mind.

'What the hell is a 'chance encounter' exactly?'

I hope you guys enjoyed, I know it's a bit shorter than usual, but I wanted to break up Denateus Day and the adventure to Floor 13 just so I can focus on them both as one individual chapter. I figured with Denateus going on, if Kiddy Party went down to Floor 13 to kill time and wait, it was going to be too much packed into one chapter, so I'm splitting them up. Anyway, after I wrote that last line, I thought about making the omake below. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Omake : Chance Encounter

Freya looked at the door to her room with a smile. "Ah Ottar. Are the preparations complete?" she asked her Captain.

"Yes, my lady." confirmed Ottar, reaching behind his back. "The preparations are all complete, but we must hurry if this is to work." he said, pulling out the necessary items from behind his back. "I implore you to hurry."

Freya stared at him for a moment, before he daze drifted to his left hand, and then to his right. After confirming the two items were exactly what she thought they were, she turned to her strongest member. "Ottar... please explain why you have bought me a schoolgirl uniform and a piece of jam on toast..." she ordered, slowly and quietly, not really sure if the words she just said were truly meant to go in this sentence.

"The store clerk was quite clear that a 'Chance Encounter' must have both the necessary 'Chance Encounter' uniform and the legendary 'Toast of Tardiness'." said Ottar, still uncertain as to why his goddess was upset. "He said that to ensure this encounter, one must be running late for something important, generally the first day of school but other options are available, wearing this uniform with the toast in the mouth. I have mapped out where Akihide meets up with his party before they head into the Dungeon, and have set up a meeting with the Guild in regards to the Familia's taxes, scheduled for 10 minutes from now. It is a 15 minute walk to the Guild, so the paths of you and Akihide should intercept at approximately the 6 minute mark. We must hurry if we are to complete this schedule." said Ottar, urging his goddess to get changed into the uniform.

Freya looked at him like he was crazy, which made Ottar quite uncomfortable. "Ottar..." she said in a sweet and soothing voice, before her eyes looked at him, glossed over. "You meathead..."

Yeah, I thought that'd be a funny little omake to do for this chapter. Next chapter will be entirely on Floors 13 to 15 of the Dungeon in preparation for the next mini-arc, The First Expedition Arc, where Akihide will go down with his Familia to Floor 18. He won't be joining the others in their descent past Floor 19 to Floor 50, but a few members of the Loki Familia will be staying behind with him so they can all grow stronger. Akihide will not be venturing below Floor 18, at least not yet. He might encounter some Floor 19 monsters who have wandered their way up, but that's about it.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed that, and for now, this is Striker777, over and out.
