Luz Clawthorne's Sidetrack: The Book of Marcy Wu

It was just another California day. Little Anne Boonchuy was at the beach, playing in the water. She was laughing as she made some splashes, her parents watching her nearby.

"Haha, I am the water master!" Little Anne declared. As she played, she saw another girl her age building a sand castle. Seeing her, she called out to her. "Hey, would you like to come play with the waves?"

"Huh?" asked the young girl who spotted Anne, "Sorry, I'd rather stay dry and work on my masterpiece!" she declared while building the biggest sand castle Anne had ever seen.

"Whoa…" Anne said while walking over. "You built that giant sand castle by yourself?"

"Yeah!" she replied, pointing at a drawing on the sand next to a stick. "I've drawn out the blueprints to show how it'll look."

Anne looked at the blueprint, amazed. "Whoa, it looks so detailed..."

"Of course!" she declared. "It's supposed to resemble the castle from one of my favorite fantasy-genre video games, Legends of Zelda. Specifically Ocarina of Time, where you-a blah-blah-blah!"

Anne was in awe of the large castle and this girl's passion for it, even as she wasn't really paying attention to what she was saying. This girl, who was the same age as Anne, was clearly super smart. She was like the most interesting person she had ever met. "Cool…"

"Oh no, the waves!" the girl pointed out, seeing the tide coming in. "If they grow closer, my castle will be ruined!"

Anne gave a determined look on her face. "Don't worry, I'll protect the castle!" she declared while making karate noises at the waves, kicking them. "Get back, waves! Stay away from my new friend's castle!"

"What are you doing?" the girl asked.

"Making sure your castle is safe!" Anne declared while grabbing her hand and looking at her in the eyes. "I promise that we will defend your castle till the bitter end!"

The girl looked in awe at Anne. "Wow… let's defend the castle!" she declared with her toy shovel. "For the castle!"

"For the castle!" Anne declared while also holding a toy shovel.

"Take that, wave!" the two young girls declared as they used their toy shovels to hold off the wave till the bitter end.

And that end was bitter, since, well, it was a losing battle.

The two ended up soaked. They saw the castle having been washed away along with its blueprints. Anne turned to the girl.

"Sorry about your castle." Anne told her. "You worked so hard on it and I wanted to defend it."

"Well, it's okay," she told Anne. "Besides, meeting you was really great!"

Anne smiled. "My name's Anne Boonchuy."

"And I'm Marcy Wu," Marcy responded, extending her hand. "It's nice to meet you, Anne."

Anne giggled. "You too, Marcy," she replied while shaking her newfound friend's hand.

And that was how Anne met Marcy.

A few years later, a young Anne and Marcy were both using the swings.

"Look, Marmar! I'm an eagle!" Young Anne shouted.

"Cool! Well, I'm a twin engine cemax amphibious aircraft!" Marcy declared, using big words for a girl her age.

The two were having a fun time… until a pair of older mean girls took the swings from them, causing the two young girls to fall to the ground.

"Aw, how cute," one spoke mockingly as she and her friend took the swings for themselves. "Now beat it, babies. These swings are ours!"

Anne and Marcy looked at the mean girls, the two were both teary eyed.

"Not so fast, evildoers!"

The two young girls turned around and saw another young girl around their age and with blonde hair standing on the slide.

"You leave those kids alone!" she declared as she slid down and jumped up. "Hiya!" she shouted while delivering a side kick.

"Whoa…" Anne and Marcy said in awe.

The two mean girls saw the blonde delivering the kick… and they just moved aside causing the blonde girl to pass them. "Oof!" she cried out, falling on her face. She quickly got back up with dirt on her forehead. "Hiyah!" she shouted while charging in to punch them. But the girls moved aside again, letting her run up and fall on the sandbox. She quickly recovered and faced the girls yet again. "I'm not done yet! I'll never give up! No matter what!"

She screamed as she's about to fight the mean girls again, only for her to trip and fall.

The two older girls looked at each other. "This is getting weird…"

"Yeah, we're outta here," the other agreed as they got off the swings. "Enjoy the swings, babies," she told the young three girls as they walked away.

The blonde girl got up and laughed. "Hehehe, the swings are all yours!" she told Anne and Marcy. She was about to walk away, but Anne stopped her.

"Hey," Anne said. "You wanna swing with us?"

The blonde girl was surprised by the offer. "I-I'd like that," she said with a smile.

"I'm Anne, by the way," Anne introduced. "And this is Marcy."

"Hiya!" Marcy waved.

The blonde smiled in response. "I'm Sasha. Sasha Waybright!"

And that's how Anne and Marcy meet Sasha.

Some time later, the trio of girls were at the park, digging around as part of their games.

"Why are we digging again?" young Anne asked.

"We're looking for buried treasure," young Sasha answered as she kept digging. "As pirates, we have to find what treasure lies within! Like that Long John Silver guy!"

"Ooh, I think I found a cicada shell," young Marcy said while holding up a cicada shell and placing it in her jar.

Young Anne continued to dig until she hit something. "Huh?" She saw something partially sticking out of the ground. She kept digging. "Hey guys, I think I found something!"

"What is it?" Sasha asked as she and Marcy walked up to her.

"Did you find a geode? Oh, maybe it's a fossil!" Marcy asked excitedly while Anne finished digging out something from the ground.

"It's… a box," Anne said, holding up a small box ornamented in gold and three gemstones being praised by the depiction of a frog.

"Ooh, is that real gold?" Sasha asked, walking over to see it.

"What's inside?" Marcy wanted to know, getting closer.

"Only one way to find out!" Anne said as she opened the box…

Little Marcy was in a panic.

One moment, she was with her friends as Anne was opening the box they found. The next moment, she had been teleported to a strange city with no idea where she was. And only being six years old, she did what could only be expected of a child her age… she started screaming.

"WAAH! Mommy! Daddy!" Marcy cried out, looking around for her parents. "Anne! Sasha! Can you hear me?!" She was terrified, sitting down and hugging her knees as she started wailing while in tears.

This caught the attention of the humanoid newts that populated the city. They found the crying child and were shocked, having never seen a creature like this before.

Two Newtopian guards see the crying human girl, neither of them knowing what to do. "What do we do, captain?"

"I don't know," the guard replied. "But we have to take her somewhere…"

Eventually, Marcy was taken to an orphanage, where she was still crying for her parents.

"Mommy… daddy…" Sasha cries out while in tears. She heard footsteps approaching.

"Alright, what's the problem here?" asked the aqua-marine newt woman with a lighter underbelly and long navy blue hair tied to a bun with a shell band. She wore a purple and yellow taffeta dress with scale-like designs stitched into a pattern. White gloves, a golden brooch with a purple transparent shawl, and mostly barefooted like the other Newts. "Captain, what's the situation?"

"Lady Olivia," the guard captain saluted. "We found this crying little creature at the center of Newtopia."

Olivia turned to Marcy, who was still crying. In all of Olivia's years, she had never seen a young creature like her. But her instincts tell her to go comfort the girl. Walking up to her, she knelt down and pulled a blanket to cover Marcy. "There, there, it's alright," she said gently.

Marcy sniffed while looking at Olivia. "W-Where am I? Are you aliens? I want my mommy!"

"You're in Newtopia, young one," Olivia explained calmly. "My name is Lady Olivia, what is your name?"

"M-Marcy Wu," Marcy responded while scared. "I… I'm from Los Angeles, California but if this is an alien planet, I'm from Earth." She sniffed, trying to calm down. "I… I was with my friends, and we were digging around until my friend, Anne, found this box and we thought it had treasure inside. But when Anne opened it, there was a bright flash and I could no longer see them or my parents around and waaaah…" She ended up crying her eyes out after explaining.

"Hey, hey it's going to be alright," Olivia reassured her. "Is there anything you want? Anything you need? Are you hungry?"

"I… I don't know what kind of food you have here," Marcy said. "Do you have, like, chicken nuggets or something I could eat?"

Olivia decided to take Marcy to a local food joint while being accompanied by the guards.

"Here you go," Olivia said as she handed Marcy a tray of food. Marcy looked at the food before her, a burger with some purplish meat, fries and a drink. "One beetle burger with some fresh cut, unsalted fries, and a cricket shake, also comes with a free toy."

"Ooh, I never had a beetle burger before," Marcy said as he grabbed the burger. "Imma try it!" She took a bite. "Why do they call it the beetle burger?"

"It's made from beetle meat," Olivia said honestly.

Marcy paused for a moment, realizing that she was eating bugs. She looked closer and saw the insides of the meat. "Bleh…" she said in disgust.

"Oh, is it not to your liking?" Olivia asked, only to see Marcy continuing to eat it. "Oh, so you do like it."

"My daddy said that I should always eat my meals and never waste food, no matter how gross they taste," Marcy said as she munched on the beetle burger. "He told me that if I don't finish my food, my stomach could eat me from the inside out, which I refuse to let happen!"

She continued to eat her food while Olivia just sat there keeping watch over her. Marcy looked up to Olivia. "So I got, like, a bunch of questions now about this place. First of all, where exactly am I?"

"Well, Marcy, Newtopia is part of a larger country called Amphibia," Olivia explained.

"Amphibia… oh, like the type of vertebrate that frogs, newts, toads, and salamanders fall under?" Marcy asked, realization hitting her. "Am I in a frog world?"

"You could say that," Olivia replied. "Where did you say you were from, Marcy?"

"Well, I am human, and I'm from a human world called Earth," Marcy explained before looking around. "So what is Newtopia supposed to be? It's so big…"

"Well, Newtopia is a kingdom that is the capital city of Amphibia, ruled by our benevolent King Andrias," she answered. "Like you guessed, our population is mostly made up of Frogs, Toads, and Newts, though there are other races like the Salamanders, the common Axolotls, and the underground-dwelling Olms…"

"Ooh," Marcy said, intrigued. "So I am in an alien world… do you think there's a chance you could send me home and maybe find my friends if they're here?"

"We will do as much as we can to help you get back to your people, Marcy Wu," Olivia reassured her. "Maybe King Andrias may have some answers."

"What's your king like?" Marcy asked her. "Is he like, a good kind or…?"

"King Andrias is the most kind and wisest king in all of Amphibia," Olivia answered. "He helps keep the peace. As long as I've remembered, he is a wonderful king that I am honored to serve just as my mother did before me."

"Oooh, can I meet him?" Marcy asked. "Especially if he could help me out in finding my friends!"

"Hmm, maybe I should take you back to the castle," Olivia said. "There we will help you in any way we can for you."

"Thank you, Ms. Olivia, for helping me," Marcy thanked her. "You're a really nice lady."

"Well I do what I can to help a little one," Olivia said while patting Marcy's hand. "Why don't you finish the rest of your food before we go?"

"Okay!" Marcy replied while drinking her shake and eating her fries "What's the shake made out of?"

"Behold, the castle of King Andrias!" Olivia said as she showed little Marcy around the castle.

"Oooh…" Marcy said while looking around.

"Yes, this castle has some history," Olivia explained. "For generations, this land has been ruled by King Andrias and his family. And I as his royal advisor was put in charge of keeping the land protected and cared for as my sacred vow," she continued while turning to where Marcy was. "So that I-"

She realized that Marcy had disappeared from the spot.

"Marcy? Marcy, where'd you go?" Olivia asked while looking around the castle for the young human girl, growing concerned. "Marcy!"

"Marcy, are you there?" Olivia asked while looking inside a large vase.

"Marcy?!" Olivia looked in the royal kitchen where the chefs took notice of her coming in.

"Marcy Wu, where are you?!" Olivia called out as she continued to look for Marcy around this big castle.

"Wow, tell me more!"

Hearing the young girl's voice, she ran down a corridor as she spotted little Marcy with an armored soldier. "There you are, Marcy!" Olivia said, catching Marcy's attention.

"Hi, Lady Olivia!" Marcy waved while Olivia ran up to her.

"Marcy, you shouldn't have wandered off like that," Olivia scolded.

"Sorry, it's just that this castle looks so super cool and interesting, just like in one of my video games, and I just couldn't help myself!" Marcy explained. "I've also met this soldier lady!"

"Um, yes, greetings Lady Olivia," spoke the tall pink newt with white-blonde hair that reached from the back of her head, yellow eyes, a lightly shaded underbelly, and a long tail with darker pink spots. She wore traditional Newtopian Army armor. "I spotted this chatty creature wandering around and she started asking me a bunch of questions. Is she yours?"

"Well, she is with me," Olivia said while grabbing Marcy's hand. "I thank you, um… what is your name, soldier?"

"Division Officer Yunan Longclaw, ma'am," Yunan saluted.

"Thank you, Officer Longclaw," Olivia said with a bow before taking Marcy. "Now come Marcy, let's get you ready to meet the king properly."

"Okay!" Marcy replied while looking back at Yunan and waving at her. "It was nice meeting you, Ms. Longclaw!"

"Uh, no problem," Yunan said, waving to the kid.

And so, Marcy was forced to dress properly to meet with the king. Olivia had her wear a purple dress with a green waistband and green shoes, while her hair was tied up.

"Do I have to wear this?" Marcy asked Olivia.

"You are meeting with a king, young Marcy," Olivia told her. "You have to look elegant to meet someone of his status."

Afterward, they walked up to the large doors to the king's throne. As they opened up, Marcy looked in awe, seeing not only the wide space throne room, but King Andrias himself. He was seated on his throne, wearing a pink robe while reading the Newtopian paper. He also sported a facial scar over his left eye and snout.

"Marcy Wu, I present to you King Andrias Leviathan," Olivia announced. "Lord of Amphibia, peacekeeper of a thousand years, and the first of his name!"

"Whoa…" Marcy said as her eyes shone at the king.

"King Andrias, I present to you this little creature known as Marcy Wu," Olivia introduced.

"You're huge!" Marcy said innocently, causing Olivia to look pale. "So you're the king of Newtopia? And your name's King Andrias Leviathan, like the mythological and theological sea serpent… can I call you 'Drias?"

Andrias looked down with a sadden expression. "Only… one person has ever called me that," he said, remembering a friend he once had.

"Oh, sorry, too personal then," Marcy understood. "But wow, I've never seen a Salamander of your size! You have to be about, at least, 9.144 meters tall!" Marcy ran up to Andrias. "I bet I can fit into your pocket!" she suggested while climbing up him.

"Marcy, don't…!" Olivia exclaimed nervously.

Andrias was confused when he saw the little human girl climbing up to his shoulder, then jumping into the pocket of his robe. She popped out. "Success!" she declared with her little arms up. "Oh, just thought of something!" She brought out a sticker pack and placed a sticker of a blue Pokemon on his robe. "There, a Wooper sticker! A gift for the king! I hope you like it!" she said while looking at the confused king.

Olivia gulped nervously while King Andrias just looked at this tiny human who had… climbed up on him and placed a sticker on him. The only reaction he could give to such an act… was laughter. Joyful laughter, much to Olivia's surprise.

Andrias the human girl climb out of his pocket so she could stand on the palm of his hand. "Indeed I do, little Master Marcy!" he declared.

"Whoa, Master?!" Marcy exclaimed in surprise. "I'm a Master! Ha, wait until Anne and Sasha hear about this!" she said as she almost fell, but Andrias caught her. "Thanks… speaking of my friends, have you seen them? I need to make sure that they're okay!"

"We haven't, but we are looking," Andrias replied kindly. "In the meantime, you are our honored guest here." He looked to his advisor. "Lady Olivia, I've assigned you to watching over and taking care of Marcy while we look for her friends."

"It would be my honor, sir," Olivia responded, relieved by how events had transpired. "Come now Marcy, let me show you to your quarters."

"This is where you'd be staying, Marcy," Olivia explained while showing her the guest room.

"Wow, it's way bigger than my room," Marcy commented as she yawned.

"Sounds like someone's in need to be in bed," Olivia said while picking up Marcy.

"Can I sleep with the pretty dress on?" Marcy asked her.

"I'll allow it," Olivia said while placing Marcy in bed, tucking her in. "Maybe if you sleep well, I could show you around the city tomorrow."

"Really? Wow, do you guys have an aquarium?" Marcy asked.

"We do," Olivia states while laying Marcy's head on her pillow. "Now then, goodnight, Marcy. If you need me, I will be in the room next to yours." She started to walk out.

"Goodnight, Lady Olivia," Marcy replied, yawning while shutting her eyes as she started to fall asleep for the night.

It was later during her first night here that Marcy started to shift and turn in her sleep. She rose up with a gasp, starting to hyperventilate. Tears streamed from her eyes as she began to cry.

Her crying caused Lady Olivia to rush into her room. "Marcy, are you alright? I heard you crying," she said while going over to her side and trying to comfort her.

"I… I had a bad dream," Marcy wailed, rubbing her eyes. "I… I miss my mommy and daddy."

Olivia's heart sank and she hugged the poor child. "Oh there, there, it's going to be alright," she said, patting Marcy's back. "You will see them again, Marcy, I promise."

"Can… can you stay here with me?" she asked Olivia. "I don't think I want to be alone right now."

"Of course," Olivia said while pulling up a chair, sitting by Marcy at her bedside. "Is there anything else you want me to do?"

Marcy had thought of one request. "Can you sing me to sleep?"

"Alright," Olivia accepted. "Here's one my mother used to sing to me when I had trouble sleeping." She started to hum in a harmonic tone before she began to sing. "Cold, palace walls… and endless empty halls. Haunted by echos of laughter…"

Little Marcy watched Olivia as she sang, which calmed the girl down. "You gave a pull, and suddenly they're full, you've thrown the gates open after you…" Olivia patted Marcy's head. "And swept in with a throng, comes this wonderful song~!"

"My little reason why, I'll never make you cry," she sang soothly, which made Marcy yawn peacefully. "Oh I have got the sweetest things to tell you every day~! My little reason why, you make me want to try… to care for you~!"

Marcy was soon sound asleep, Olivia deciding to keep watch over her for the night.

The next morning, Marcy was seated at a table where Olivia served her breakfast. Food that had been made specifically for her. It still had some bug meat in them, but Marcy didn't mind, she'd rather not go hungry.

"Enjoying your breakfast, Marcy?" Olivia asked while Marcy ate.

"Yeah, these blueberry pancakes you made can send me a one way trip to Deliciousville!" she declared.

"Not sure where that town is," Olivia replied, taking it literally, "But we should go over what we'll be doing today. For starters, the king has approved of me taking you around Newtopia to see the sights."

"Really?" Marcy asked. "I get a full tour? This is so awesome!"

"And we will be accompanied by one of the Newtopian soldiers during the trip as our escort," Olivia added.

"Ooh, can it be that nice soldier I met yesterday?" Marcy asked in excitement.

"Well, I don't see why not," Olivia said while turning to one guard. "Call in Division Officer Longclaw for an assignment."

Yunan walked towards Olivia and Marcy, giving them a salute. "Lady Olivia and Marcy Wu, I am here on your orders to escort you around the city," she announced.

"At ease, soldier," Olivia told her. "Now come Marcy, let us go look around the city," she said while extending her hand.

Marcy grabbed Olivia's hand, while turning to Yunan with her other hand out. Yunan wasn't sure how to react, so she looked to her superior. Olivia nodded and Yunan's hand grabbed Marcy's.

"Alright," Olivia said. "Let's go."

What followed was a day of Marcy being shown around Newtopia. One of their drops was Coral Park where Olivia explained to Marcy about the statue of Ezra Brackish, a newt who was shown to be looking through a telescope. Marcy was absolved by the explanation, while Yunan just remained on guard.

Next was a stop at the shopping district, where Marcy saw items that caught her eye. Butterfly models, toys, plants, and math books. She asked Olivia if she could have these and Olivia complied, having them delivered to the castle.

Then by Yunan's suggestion, they went to the arcade. There Marcy played a lot of games and had Yunan play with her. This included the likes of 'Whack-A-Mag', 'Snail Race', and a Bug Ball game. Yunan helped Marcy get enough tickets to win a stuffed moth plushie. Marcy hugged it tightly, bringing a smile to Olivia and Yunan's faces.

Next they headed down to the Newtopia Aquarium, where Marcy looked at all kinds of different coral. She looked at one tank that showed stingrays swimming around, the little girl watching them in awe.

While they were heading to another location, a mugger confronted them, which scared Marcy while Olivia protected her. However, Yunan drop kicked the mugger and proceeded to beat the crap out of him, Marcy cheering for Yunan.

"There we go, danger averted," Yunan replied while her armor was stained with something red.

"Cool!" Marcy replied. "I didn't know the mugger had ketchup on him!"

"Ketchup?" Yunan asked in confusion, while Olivia gave a worried expression.

After Olivia ordered Yunan to wash her armor, they headed down to the Newtorpia Museum. There, they were greeted by the curator, a humanoid Laos warty newt with black skin, a gray underbelly, orange spots on her head and back, long blue hair with glasses, and a purple vest with a green shirt, and purple long skirt.

"Greetings, I'm Curator Lilipad," she greeted. "Welcome to the Newtopian Museum, a tribute to our history!"

Marcy looked around the museum, wanting to learn as much as she could. From the cave frog exhibit to the display of prehistoric animals that existed during the previous time period of Amphibia. Yunan took interest in the warrior history, while Olivia showed Marcy all the paintings up on display, showing the arts that Amphibia had to offer. But what got Marcy interested in was the flora section where she sees all kinds of flowers and plants.

"She does seem to be enjoying herself," Olivia commented, smiling.

"Yeah, I'll admit this little tadpole human is adorable," Yunan admitted. "Reminds me of my younger self… before middle school." An idea then came to mind. "Say, why don't we take her to the coliseum next? Let her see the Toads fight each other?"

"We are not taking her to see such excessive games," Olivia told her.

"Oh come on, it's all good for sport and stuff," Yunan assured her.

"We are not taking a child to see such displays of violence," Olivia argued.

"Then what else to show a six-year-old?" Yunan asked.

After the museum, Olivia took them to the Hemisphere Hotel. Marcy looked in awe at the ferris wheel inside it. She requests to ride it, which Olivia allowed as Marcy took both her and Yunan with her.

Once they were in their sears, the trio rode to the top and stopped, where Marcy saw the castle in the distance. Her eyes were shining with stars again as she held onto the hands of both Olivia and Yunana.

Little Marcy would remember this as one of the best days of her life.

A few months had passed and Marcy was busy studying her new plants. She heard Olivia speak up.

"Marcy, dear, we have some special guests that would wish to see you," Olivia explained.

"Guests? That want to see me?" Marcy asked.

"I think you'll want to see them too," Olivia said while Marcy followed her.

Once they made it to the throne room, Marcy was shocked to see who it was. "No way… Anne! Sasha!"

"Marcy!" Anne and Sasha cried as the three ran toward her and hugged, crying and screaming in joy as they were reunited. Also in the throne room was Hop Pop and Grime, who were chaperoning Anne and Sasha.

"Do humans scream like this all the time?" Grime asked while covering his ears.

"It's a good thing I have trouble hearing…" Hop Pop replied before he also covered his ears. "Okay, now I hear it!"

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe you're here!" Marcy declared.

"Same! We were so worried about where you are!" Anne replied.

"Now the three of us are reunited!" Sasha declared.

"How'd you guys find out I was here?" Marcy asked.

"Well, Grimesy here," Sasha said, pointing to Grime. "His Toad warriors came back from collecting the taxes from every town in Frog Valley and they reported a human child in Wartwood!"

"So they went over to investigate, which is when me and Sash reunited!" Anne added. "I was found by Hop Pop when I came here and he took me to Wartwood!"

"While I was found near Toad Tower!" Sasha explained. "But when Grime got word that King Andrias was searching for two humans, he decided to bring me, Anne. and her frog gramps here. So you've been hanging out around here at this castle all this time?"

"Yeah!" Marcy replied. "I can't wait to show you guys around- Oh, wait! I have to ask, do you have the box that sent us here?"

Anne and Sasha looked at each other, then turned to Marcy.

"We thought you had it," Anne admitted.

Marcy looked deflated. "Oh… so we're trapped here…"

"No box… no way home…" Sasha said while the three girls looked down sadly.

"Hey, hey don't worry girls," Andrias spoke up while kneeling down in front of them. "I promise to you three that we will find a way to take you girls home. No matter how long it takes…"

"You know what, he's right," Sasha said as she looked up at him. "And until a way home is found, we have each other now!"

"Yeah, I like that!" Marcy agreed as Anne nodded.

Time had passed and Marcy was summoned to King Andrias.

"Do you wish to see me, King Andrias?" Marcy asked.

"Marcy, I have been thinking lately and, well, you have been living in this castle for quite a while now," Andrias spoke to her. "I helped you look for your friends. and the search for your way home is still ongoing. But… lately, you've become more than a guest around here."

Marcy nodded. "Well, I do enjoy spending time here. Even though there aren't video games around, I still like the puzzle games we do, and playing Creatures and Taverns with the soldiers, and studying the fauna!"

Andrias chuckled. "Yes, and in that time I've grown so fond of you that I'm starting to consider you family, Marcy."

Marcy looked down. "I'm glad to hear that, sir," she said, feeling flattered.

"Which is why from this day forth, I'm making you Princess of Newtopia," Andrias declared, which shocked Marcy.

"M-Me? A princess?!" Marcy stammered. "Whaaa…!?"

"I know that it's sudden, but I do see you as the daughter I never had," Andrias explained. "And I also know that you have your real family on Earth, but as long as you are living with us, I want you to be treated like you deserve, unless you're comfortable as being a lady-in-waiting-" He suddenly felt Marcy hugging his boot, surprising the large blue salamander.

"I'd be honored… dad," Marcy replied happily, which made the king smile proudly. "Oh, um, sorry," Marcy said while stepping back bashfully. "I didn't… I mean, I do see you like a dad-"

"No worries, Marcy, I don't mind," Andrias assured her. "In fact, I am honored."

Days became months and then years as Marcy Wu grew up in Newtopia.

"Say King Andrias," Marcy, age seven, asked as she pointed up. "Who's that?"

Andrias looked up at the portrait. He sighed. It was a portrait of an older version of Andrias with his eyes shut and a dark green robe. "That portrait is of my father and the previous king of Amphibia before me, Aldrich Leviathan."

"Ooh, what's he like?" Marcy asked.

"Well… he was… stern and stubborn, but he did help make me the king I am today," Andrias said while trying to form the right words about his father. "Sometimes I can still hear him…"

"Oh, like if he's a ghost?" Marcy asked innocently.

"Well, you could say that," Andrias replied with a shrug.

"Do you think he would like me?" Marcy asked.

Andrias hesitated to answer. "N-no, I don't think he would," he admitted honestly. "He was from a different time, my father…"

At age eight, Marcy was with Olivia, who was teaching her about etiquette.

"Now Marcy, what do you say when meeting a duke?" Olivia asked.

"Um… greetings, your dukiness," Marcy replied as she giggled. "Sorry, I was thinking of what Anne joked about the other day."

Olivia sighed. "Alright, I think that's enough phrasing. Let's handle tea."

Marcy groaned. "Can't I just study the bugs?"

Yunan, now ranked lieutenant, helps train Marcy in combat. The two were shown to be fighting in hand-to-hand combat.

"You're showing good progress, Marcy," Yunan commented while blocking a chop from her.

"I've studied your movement, and learned all the angles," Marcy replied while Yunan's tail tripped her over. "Wah!" she screamed while falling on the mat. "Aw man, should've seen the tail coming!"

"Always remember, expect the unexpected!" Yunan declared.

"Honestly, Marcy should be focusing on etiquette," Olivia argued with Yunan while Marcy played with her friends. "Yesterday, she attempted to karate chop the table!"

"Oh relax, it's just reflexes." Yunan replied. "Though, I am thinking of taking her to target practice with crossbows…"

"Crossbows?!" Olivia cried out in shock. "She will not be holding a crossbow!"

Meanwhile Marcy looked at the scar on Sasha's elbow "Ooh, you got it from the giant mosquitoes?"

"Yeah, but I handled those blood suckers well," Sasha declared.

"Wow, Sash, that must be like, your first battle scar!" Anne pointed out.

"Yunan! Yunan!"

Yunan looked down at Marcy while she kept watch of her at the greenhouse. "Yes, Princess Marcy?"

"Come here!" Marcy said and Yunan knelt down, allowing the little human princess to place a flower in her hair.

"What- what is this?" Yunan asked.

"It's a gift for you!" Marcy told her. "For being the coolest mom I've ever had!" Marcy declared. "Maybe I should call you, Mama-Yuyu!"

"Heh, Mama-Yuyu," Yunan said as she patted Marcy's head. "I like that, kiddo."

Marcy was studying while Olivia came in to serve tea. "Enjoying your studies, Marcy dear?" she asked.

"Yeah, I've checked out the biology books about the wildlife around here, along with some spell books and strategy books that Andrias recommended I should read…" She started to yawn while Olivia handed her some tea. "Thanks, Motholivia."

"No problem, Marcy," Olivia replied. She was used to being called by that nickname… and she was used to seeing Marcy like a daughter.

"Congrats on becoming a general, Mama-Yuyu!" Princess Marcy went to hug Yunan in congratulations on her new rank.

"Well, my victories in the Sand Wars will be told for generations to come!" Yunan declared while hugging Marcy back. "And I couldn't have done it without your support, squirt." She then turned to Olivia, who smiled at her. "Or your support either, Lady Olivia."

"You're welcome, General Yunan." Olivia nodded, which made Yunan flustered while Marcy giggled.

When Marcy was twelve, she was told to go to the throne room.

"Alright, Dadrias," Marcy said as she entered. "What did you-" She gasped when she saw Andrias, Yunan, and Olivia with Anne, Sasha, Hop Pop, Sprig, Polly, Grime, Braddock, and Percy.

"Happy birthday, Marcy!" they all declared, throwing a party with streamers and cake for Marcy.

"EEK! You guys are the best!" Marcy declared as she went to hug her friends.

During the party Anne, Marcy and Sasha talked among themselves while Hop Pop was trying to stop Sprig from hopping around while little Polly was watched over by Braddock and Percy. After Marcy blew out the candles of her cake, it was time for presents.

"Oh Marcy," Yunan said to her. "I got a special gift for the princess! You've said you always wanted a pet, right?"

"Yeah?" Marcy asked in excitement.

"Well then how about a pet bird!" Yunan clapped her hands and the Newtopian soldiers brought into the throne room a giant, wild sparrow. He screeched and kept pecking at the guards.

"Wow! A giant sparrow!" Marcy declared.

"Yunan, what makes you think a wild animal would make a good gift?!" Olivia asked in shock.

"But look at how happy Marcy is!" Yunan pointed out as Marcy looked at the sparrow in awe.

"I'm gonna call you… Joe Sparrow!" Marcy declared, hugging the bird.

Olivia wasn't too pleased. "Honestly, if we want to give Marcy a pet, we should've gotten her something simple." She snapped her fingers as she got an idea. "Like a grubhog!"

"NO!" Yunan shot it down. "Definitely not a grubhog!" she said dramatically.

Marcy rode on Joe Sparrow, now dressed in Newtopian armor, through the sky. Now donning her current outfit, Marcy shot at her targets using her crossbow. Her target practice has improved and when Joe Sparrow flew up high enough Marcy jumped off, spreading her cape like a glider to head down to the ground.

She landed and slid across the ground as she checked her measure on the field. "Eight feet, nice landing!" she declared.

She then saw a letter placed on the flag and she went to grab it. "Looks like Dadrias left me a message again!" she declared, opening it and reading the rebus. "Alright, what's the clues to look for this time…"

"I don't believe it…"

All of the royal subjects gasped when they witnessed Marcy beat Andrias in a game of Flipwart, which shocked even Andrias.

"I-I-It's phenomenal…" the referee declared. "Princess Marcy Wu… has defeated King Andrias in Flipwart!"

All turned to Andrias, who was silent for the moment. Then he bellowed in laughter.

"BAHAHAHAHA! I can't believe it!" he declared while wiping his tears. "After a thousand years, I've been finally bested by a true champion of Flipwart! Congrats, my daughter, you have made me proud!"

All clapped for Marcy, who smiled as she went to hug Andrias "Thanks, Dad!" she said as everyone chant Marcy's name.

"Marcy Wu! Marcy Wu! Marcy Wu!"

Drowning, she was drowning.

Marcy Wu was sinking, she didn't know why or how she was underwater. She tried to reach the surface, but she kept sinking. Tentacles burst from the darkness, grabbing her as she struggles to get them away. But they kept pulling her down.

She saw Anne, Sasha and Andrias above her. She tried to call for them to help but it only filled her lungs with water. She continued to sink down. She sank and she sank until she was met with six orange eyes in the darkness…

Marcy gasped as she woke up. "Oh my frog, oh my frog, oh my frog!" she hyperventilated, shocked by her nightmare.

"And that's how it ends," Marcy told Andrias, explaining to him about what she had just experienced. She was in tears as she started to hyperventilate again. "I don't know what it means-"

"There, there, Marcy, calm down," Andrias said while offering Marcy some tea. "Tea?"

"Thanks, Dadrias," Marcy replied as she drank her tea. "It felt so real… like, those eyes…"

"Marcy, it was only just a dream," Andrias reassured her.

"But that's just it," she admitted. "I've had this nightmare several times before. Is it, like, some kind of vision or a premonition?"

"Hey, hey don't worry about it," Andrias said, but he did sound concerned for his foster daughter. "You know, maybe you have been cooped up in this castle for too long, you hardly see anything beyond Newtopia."

"I guess that's true," Marcy admitted.

"Tell you what, why don't I send you to Wartwood to visit with Anne and the Plantars," Andrias suggested. "Spend some time with your close friends."

This made Marcy perk up. "Really? Spend time with Anne?" She stood up excitedly. "But, are you sure? I am a princess!"

"Don't worry, I trust you and your abilities," Andrias told her. "After all, you are trained by our best general in self-defense."

"That is true, I even learned how to knock out a person by cracking their necks from Mama-Yuyu," Marcy pointed out. "But what about you?"

"Hey, I just want you to be happy, Marcy," Andrias states, patting her back. "Besides, no matter where you go, you'll always be in my mind."

Marcy smiled as she hugged Andrias. "Thanks… Dad," she said while wiping away her tears. "Maybe… I can fly down to Wartwood with Joe Sparrow."

"I don't know…" Andrias said hesitantly.

"Oh relax, I've been getting pretty good at flying with him now, plus he's trained," Marcy said, which was followed by the distant cry of a soldier and Joe Sparrow's screech. "...Mostly."

Once Mary arrived in Wartwood with Joe Sparrow and her stuff, she was warmly greeted by Anne and the Plantars, along with the townsfolk.

"Marcy!" Anne shouted as she ran up to hug her friend.

"Anne!" Marcy replied as she hugged her back. "Ooh, this is going to be so much fun!"

"Yeah! So great to have you around!" Anne replied while Sprig hopped up.

"Welcome to Wartwood, Princess Marcy!" Sprig shouted while giving a bow to her.

"Man, isn't it cool to have the Princess to stay with us?" Polly asked.

"Now, she may be royalty, but she also wishes to be treated like everyone else," Hop Pop said while turning to Marcy. "It is great to have you living with us for the time being, Marcy."

"Yes, yes," spoke Mayor Toadstool as he walked up. "As mayor, I must say it is an honor to have you around Princess Marcy. And we'll keep you safe and comfortable, otherwise the general of Newtopia will have my head…"

"Hey, it's no sweat, everyone," Marcy told them. "It's good to take a break from the castle… I'd like to be just regular old Marcy."

"Well Mar-Mar," Anne said as she hung her arm around Marcy. "Here in Wartwood things will be anything but regular. It'll be like an adventure!"

"I love adventures!" Marcy cheered as Sprig joined in.

"Adventure!" Sprig declared.

"We can sleep here, Mar-Mar," Anne said as she showed Marcy her decorative basement room.

"Whoa, Anne, nice pad!" Marcy said in awe as she looked around, seeing all the posters on the wall, a desk with a candle, some books and old wheels on the wall. There was also a home-made pool table. "Whoa, is that a pool table? When did you make that?!"

"With some help from Loggle," Anne replied while holding a pool stick. "You game?"

Marcy smirked. "Oh Anne… you know how good I am with trajectory," she replied, holding a second pool stick.

"Cool, it also doubles as a ping-pong table," Anne said as they began their game.

At the Plantar's farm, Marcy in her farmer's outfit was trying to help them in the field.

"Alright Marcy, since you volunteered to help out with the farming, we're going to show you the ropes," Hop Pop explained.

"Yeah, I can show you how to plow the fields," Anne offered.

"Alright, Princess Marcy is now Farmer Marcy!" Marcy declared.

"All you need to do is use this plow to loosen up the top layer of the soil," Anne explained to her as she showed Marcy how to use the plow. "You just gotta get Bessie heading straight. Think you're up to it?"

"Ah, that sounds simple!" Marcy decided. "I think I can get this done by the end of lunch!"

By the end of lunch, the path made by the plow didn't look… straight. It was zigzagged all over, while the sound of Marcy screaming was as she plowed through the Plantar's garden and into the town.

"Bessie, Bessie calm down!" Marcy cried out while Anne and Sprig tried to chase them.

"Well that escalated quickly!" Sprig shouted.

"Hang on, Marcy!" Anne cried out for Marcy as they went to rescue her.

Later, Marcy helped out the Plantars with the town's annual pot luck competition.

"You don't have to help us find ingredients for the pot luck, Marcy," Anne told her as they picked out ingredients at the market.

"Hey, you guys have lost too many times," Marcy pointed out. "So with my help, you guys will beat your losing streak!"

But despite all of that, they still lost.

"Well, being in the cage of shame isn't too bad," Marcy said while joining the Plantars in the cage.

"Unless you like getting pelted by the food," Sprig replied.

"The what now?" Marcy asked as the townsies began throwing food at them. "Ah! How is this ethical?!"

"Some things never change," Hop Pop said with a sigh.

"Well, at least we have each other," Anne said, perking up while shielding Marcy from the food.

Anne, Marcy and Sprig were just playing in the forest until they heard the cry of a caterpillar. After rescuing the creature from danger they saw it was black, furry cat-like bug with white dots, yellow eyes, and a cat-like face.

"Whoa, it's a kill-a-pillar!" Marcy said in awe. "And he's so cute!"

"He looks like a domino," Anne said while holding up the cat. "I think I'll name him… Domino!"

"I don't know, Anne, keeping a kill-a-pillar may not be the best idea…" Marcy suggested.

"But Marcy, look how cute this little guy is, and we just rescued him!" Anne said while showing the kill-a-pillar in front of her.

"Well… we could keep him around," Marcy explained. "At least before he goes into his cocoon stage, then we have to leave him out."

"Well, I don't see how this could possibly go wrong," Sprig said at the moment.

"Anne, I thought you were keeping an eye on him!" Marcy cried out while she, Anne, Sprig, Hop Pop, and Polly dealt with the now fully grown Domino, who turned out to be a Coastal Kill-A-Moth as they battled outside. "You were supposed to leave him out of the wild!"

"I just couldn't leave him out of the wild yet!" Anne replied while holding up her rake. "I don't wanna hurt you, Domino!"

It was then that Joe Sparrow flew in and fought against Domino, leading them to a beast battle.

"Woo-hoo, go Joe Sparrow!" Polly cheered.

"Please, try not to hurt him much…" Anne winced as they watched the bird and bug fight against each other.

"Anne, Marcy, guess who dropped by!" Hop Pop announced.

The two human girls found Sasha by the Plantars' doorstep. "Sasha!" they called out while they ran up to their friend. "We heard that you were in a big battle and-" As Anne stopped herself, she and Marcy looking shocked to see the state of their friend. "Sasha…"

"Hey," Sasha said, a X-mark scar between her eyes. "I don't look too bad, am I?"

"Oh Sash," Marcy said sympathetically, while Anne looked just as saddened. They walked up to hug Sasha in comfort. "We're really sorry this happened to you…"

"We didn't know that it was this bad," Anne said.

"Hey, don't let this scar get to you, I'm fine," Sasha reassured them. "Since I'm here, why don't we have some girl time? Just the three of us?"

"Yeah, that does sound good," Anne agreed.

"Totally," Marcy nodded. "I'm always up to spend some time with my girls!"

"Yeah," Sasha said while noticing Polly. "Yo, Polly, you want in on this girl time with us?"

"Nah, I'm gonna practice my spitting range to break the town's record for that trophy!" Polly declared as she hopped around.

"The what…?" Sasha questioned.

"Eh, Polly's not into this kind of thing," Anne told her. "But us three can still hang!"

And so, the trio went to get the works: manicures, pedicures, facial, mud baths and even massages from the local bounty hunter Tuti, as well as getting their hair done by Fern. Finally they went to have tea at Felicia Sundew's tea shop.

The three girls laughed as they spent time together while Felicia served them tea. Sasha closely watched Anne and Marcy as they talked about some of the moments they had experienced together since Marcy came to stay in Wartwood. And as Sasha watched them, she noticed how they seemed much closer than before. The way they laughed together, the way they made each other light up, the way they touched each other…

So slammed her fist on the table, getting their attention. "Say, would you two like to see something badass?"

Outside of town, Marcy and Anne watched as Sasha stood in a field. Taking a deep breath, Sasha got in a stance as she makes a powerful yell. "Yaaaaaaaahhhh…!" Suddenly, a burst of pink energy formed around her, followed by her blonde hair turning into spiky pink as her blue eyes turned pink as well. Her ponytail was now surging with lightning.

"Whoa…!" Anne and Marcy said in awe.

"Sash, how are you doing that?!" Anne asked.

"Yeah!" Marcy stood up, pulling out her journal. "You're like something straight out of Dragon Claw!"

"It just happened during one of my battles!" Sasha explained as she burst with energy. "I think… I think I have super cool anime powers or something… but it could have something to do with that music box!"

"I really need to do some research on it," Marcy realized. "Wait… does that mean me and Anne also have super cool anime powers as well?"

"Perhaps, can you do this?" Sasha raised her fist up and threw it, which sent a powerful, violet air fist that landed in the field, leaving a large crater.

"Awesome!" Anne declared as she and Marcy were impressed. "You always find ways to wow us, Sash!"

"What can I say?" Sasha said as she pulled out her sunglasses, putting them on. "I'm just that good."

After their girl time, Sasha left for Toad Tower. Upon returning home, Anne and Marcy talked about having powers of their own.

"So you think we might get some kind of cool powers as well?" Anne asked Marcy.

"Who knows, it could be the same as Sasha's, or perhaps there's a theme to it," Marcy said while writing in her journal, showing a sketch of Sasha. "Sasha's power level is on par with the strength of ten Toad warriors! If we can figure out what our powers are, then we'll be known as, I don't know, the Power-Frog Girls?"

"Or the Totally Butterflies," Anne replied, striking a pose. "Maybe if we yell super loud like Sasha, that's when we activate our powers!"

"Let's give it a shot!" Marcy said as the two took on the same stance while doing a super yell. "YAAAAAHHH!"

"AAAAAHHH!" Anne yelled as well.

Polly, who had come home with a trophy after breaking the record, saw Anne and Marcy.

"What are you girls doing?" she asked.

"We're trying to get powers through yelling! AAAHHH!" Anne answered before she continued.

"Cool, let me try," Polly replied as she began to yell. "BWAAAAAHHH!"

But that only attracted bats, which caused the three to return inside.

Around this time, Anne and Marcy had been trying to get Sprig and Ivy together during the Firefly Festival, with some help from Hop Pop and Felicia. However, things got complicated with Sprig and Ivy straying off from the festival, followed by a pair of Love Doves almost eating them…

And so, after they were rescued by Sprig and Ivy, they all headed back to the festival where Anne and Marcy looked awkwardly at each other. While Hop Pop and Felicia apologized to their kids, the two girls ended up alone.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" they asked each other at the same time, which made them chuckle.

"You first," Marcy said.

Anne rubbed her own arm. "Well, Sprivy may not have happened, but surviving those love doves did put some things in perspective…"

"Yeah," Marcy agreed. "Life can be too short."

Anne nodded as she took a deep breath. "You ever… think about dating?"

"Oh, funny enough, I was gonna ask you the same thing," Marcy admitted as both blushed and looked away from each other. "It's kinda hard, since we and Sasha are the only human teenagers in this world."

"Yeah," Anne replied. "It's hard and awkward, especially when you have to be-"

"No Anne, not here," Marcy said with a shiver. "Receiving the birds and bees from our guardians was hard enough."

"Ugh, don't remind me," Anne grimaced. "After Hop Pop's version of the 'talk', I had to go to Felicia Sundew and stay with her for a few days to get over it."

"Yeah, puberty sucks. Remember when we both tried out the goth phase last year?" Marcy asked. "I remember Olivia fainting when I spray painted all the dresses black."

"Yeah, good thing that didn't last long," Anne commented as the two laughed. The two then looked at each other in silence for a while. Perhaps it was because of the atmosphere of the festival, but right now this moment felt… romantic. "Marcy… I'm glad that you decided to stay with us, because I really like you being here."

Marcy blushed. "Oh Anne, I really like being here with you too…"

Anne nodded and worked up the courage to say what she wanted to say. "Marcy Wu-Leviathan… would you go out with me?"

Marcy's eyes shone. "Yes! Yes I will, Anne Boonchuy-Plantar!" she said as her hand reached for Anne's. Their pinkies touched. "Oooh my frog, what is this feeling?"

"It feels… right," Anne said while they looked at each other in the eyes, music playing in the background. "Would you care for this dance, princess?"

"I'd be honored," Marcy replied as they continued to hold hands while they began to waltz. "So what do you think we should call ourselves?"

"How about… Marcanne," Anne suggested as they danced.

"Marcanne… I like it," Marcy replied as they looked at each other while they danced. Well, until Marcy tripped due to having two left feet.

Days later, Sasha and a trio of Toads known as Bog, Fens, and Mire came to Wartwood to collect their taxes. At the center of town, Sasha met with Anne and Marcy.

"Sash!" the two girls shouted as they waved at her, Sasha spotting them holding hands.

"Whoa…" Sasha said in surprise. "Are you two…?"

"Yeah, we recently became a couple," Anne said while bashfully rubbing the back of her head.

"We've realized that life was too short so we decided that, well, maybe just go with the feeling and…" Marcy built it up.

"We're dating!" they declared as they looked at Sasha, waiting for her response.

"Wow, I can't believe you guys…" she said in a low tone as she took off her sunglasses. "You guys… must be the cutest couple in town!" she declared as she went to hug them. "I so knew you two would make a great couple!"

"Aw, thanks Sash!" Anne replied.

"Glad that you understand!" Marcy replied.

"Why wouldn't I?" Sasha said before looking down at her own reflection at a puddle. "I'm proud of you girls," she said with a saddened smile.

Later, while the Toad soldiers were collecting the belongings of Frogs who did not pay their taxes, Sasha found it suspicious that so many names were on the list. She decided to look into it and when she found out that the mayor was embezzling those taxes, to say she wasn't happy was an understatement.

She pinned him to the ground as she held her sword in front of his face. Toadstool looked scared while Toadie was held back by Bogs and Fens.

"Mayor, no! Please, don't hurt him!" Toadie cried out.

"P-Please, Sasha," Toadstool begged. "I-I'm sorry for trying to cheat you!"

Sasha sighed. "Oh Toadstool, you know that there has to be consequences," she said as she raised her sword up. "But I guess, in the end, you couldn't help but play the role of the corrupt politician!" She brought down her sword, only for it to be blocked by another sword. "Huh?"

To her shock, it was Anne who stopped Sasha from delivering the killing blow. "Sasha, stop!" she shouted as she pushed the blond away from Toadstool, who ran off.

"Thank you, Anne!" he declared as he ran off.

"Hey!" Sasha shouted while turning to Anne. "What's your deal, Anne?!"

"My deal? I know Toadstool's a charlatan of a mayor, but that ain't mean that you could just go and off him like that!" she shouted.

"He's the one that took the town's taxes!" Sasha pointed out. "If I didn't learn sooner, these guys would've repossessed all of your stuff!" she said while pointing at the three Toad soldiers.

"Still, don't you think you are going a little too far?!" Anne asked, the whole town watching the two stare down at each other, neither one of them lowering their swords. "Nobody has to die!"

"Stand down, Plantar," Sasha told Anne, gripping her sword. "That's an order."

"I can't do that, Sasha," Anne said as she stood her ground.

"Guys, guys stop!" Marcy ran in between them. "Anne, Sasha, we're supposed to be friends. Just stop before it escalates any further!"

Sasha lifted her head up, her face hard to read. Marcy gave a worried expression while Anne looked stern. Sasha sighed and turned around. "Fine, your majesty," she said while returning to the toad soldiers. "Come on, we got our taxes."

"But what about Toadstool?" Bog asked her.

"Forget about him," Sasha said as they headed to their beetle cart. She looked back at Anne. "You made a big mistake, Plantar. Making me look bad in front of my men and the town. I won't forget this."

Anne, Sasha, and Sprig watched them leave Wartwood, the former two giving worried expressions.

"Geez, I never realized how blood thirsty Sasha could be," Sprig commented.

"Yeah, she seems… different," Anne said while looking down until Marcy held her hand.

"I'm sure that she just needs to cool off," Marcy suggested hopefully. "I mean, Sash can't stay mad over this forever, right?"

Anne smiled at Marcy. "Yeah, I'm sure she'll get over it."

Later, the town had their election and thanks to Marcy's help with the campaign and her political savviness, Hop-Pop ended up getting the most votes from the whole valley.

"Congrats to Hopediah Plantar, the new Mayor of Wartwood!" Albus Duckweed declared while raising Hopediah's hand up.

"I won?!" Hop Pop asked as his eyes shone. "I can't believe I won!"

"Way to go, Hop Pop!" Marcy declared as she, Anne, Sprig, and Polly clapped along with the townsfolk.

"Wow, things are gonna surely change with Hop Pop in charge," Anne said proudly.

"Yeah, let's just hope he doesn't go mad with power," Sprig replied.

"Ditto," Polly nodded.

Among the crowd, Wally gave a thoughtful look as he clapped. "Say, you think that there'd be some consequences with a frog being mayor, right?"

"Ah I see no problem with that," shrugged the town's baker, Mr. Flour.

"Yeah, what could possibly go wrong?" Loggle asked.

Marcy found herself in a cage while Hop Pop was being dangled over a giant carnivorous plant. They along with the rest of the Plantars and all the townsfolk of Wartwood were surrounded on the rooftop of Toad Tower as Anne ended up facing Sasha in a sword to sword duel.

"Sasha, why are you doing this?!" Anne demanded, while holding her sword. "I thought we were friends!"

"Things have changed, Anne," Sasha said. "While you became a simple life farm girl and Marcy became a princess, I ended up getting the short end of the stick and being raised as a soldier. But also put me in a position to realize how much disrespect the Toads got from the Frogs and the Newts, despite everything they do for both classes!" She glared at her two friends. "You two are just the same, disrespecting me as well!"

"What are you talking about?!" Anne asked.

"It was supposed to be the three of us, but now it feels like it's more just the two of you!" Sasha shouted while rushing in with her sword, which Anne had to block with hers. The two clashed with their swords, Anne being forced on the defensive. "Why do you look so scared to see an old friend, Anne?" she asked, pink static surrounding her hair.

"Sasha, stop this now! I don't want to fight you!" Anne declared while sweating, her hair starting to spark blue electricity. Her sword was knocked away by Sasha's sword, who kicked her down.

"Face it, Anne, you've been bested!" Sasha declared "This is the Era of the Toads, but you and Marcy can still have a place with us if you swear your allegiance!" She pointed her sword at Anne. "Say it!"

"Anne!" Sprig and Polly shouted in worry.

Anne was hyperventilating, seeing her friend glaring down at her with her sword aiming at her. Anne shut her eyes, trying to think of a way to save everyone, including her girlfriend and her family…

"Let… them… go…!" Anne's eyes turned blue and her hair started to change.

"What…?" Sasha asked in shock, seeing Anne's hair turning blue.

"LET THEM GO!" Anne shouted, which caused Sasha to withdraw her sword when she saw Anne standing up, her hair turning blue with the twigs and leaves appearing in it. Her appearance shocked everyone from the Wartwood townsfolk to the Toad soldiers.

Sasha looked just as surprised, but then she gave a dangerous smirk. "So it looks like I'm not the only one with power after all," she said as her hair burst with pink energy from her Calamity powers. She dropped her sword. "But I'm still stronger!" she declared as she and Anne clashed their fist together, sending a shockwave.

Their fight began to cause more shockwaves, more than Toad Tower could handle. Sasha swung a kick at Anne who dodged it and Anne punched her side. Sasha flew up as Anne jumped up as well, the two delivering hard blows at each other rapidly. Anne looked at Sasha in pure rage, while Sasha was beginning to sweat. Anne instantly teleported behind Sasha, delivering a swinging kick to send her crashing down on the floor. Sasha rolled onto her back and saw Anne coming down at her, causing Sasha to roll away as Anne created a crater where she had been seconds before.

This in turn caused a chain reaction. Toad Tower started to crumble. Marcy felt her cage shaking as she saw everyone endangered. She also saw Anne and Sasha looking exhausted from the fight, their powers starting to wear off.

"Guys! The tower's crumbling down!" Marcy shouted as everyone felt the tower about to fall.

"Quick everyone, down here!" Sprig opened the door to the exit from the roof, which everyone, townsfolk and soldiers alike, ran for.

Anne shook her head while Sasha got up as they felt the roof crumbling.

"Sasha!" Grime shouted before he fell. "AAHH!"

'Grimes!" Sasha cried out, only to feel the roof beneath her cave in. "AAHH!"

"Sash!" Anne and Marcy cried out. Anne went to stop Sasha from falling.

Sprig and Polly went to help Hop Pop out of his bonds before they went to help Anne and Sasha. However, the Tower continued to crumble around them, while the two girls were unable to activate their Calamity powers. Marcy saw this while still in her cage and the sight of her friends in this desperate situation caused something to awaken within her. Something that caused her hair to form green static as her eyes glowed green.

"Wait… I can…." She looked around, running the formulas in her head. She knew how to save them. She made an epic yell as she exploded out of her cage, "Hang on, everyone!" she declared as she went to stop the Plantars and Sasha from falling.

The group did fall as the roof collapsed, causing them to start to yell. However, Marcy jumped from falling stone to falling stone, managing to grab Polly, then Sprig, then Hop Pop, then Anne, and finally Sasha. They managed to land on the ground just as Toad Tower completely collapsed.

Everyone evacuated, Anne looked up to see Marcy having activated her own Calamity powers. "Whoa… Marcy you're… whoa…" she said in awe.

"Anne, are you and your family okay?" Marcy asked her.

Anne looked around. "Yeah, we should be fine," she said with a nod,

"What about Sasha?" Sprig asked after he and Polly helped Hop Pop up.

They turned to see Sasha was already gone. They spotted the rest of the Toad Army retreating in the distance, Sasha in Grime's arms. "Sasha, wait!" Marcy cried out as she tried to run after her, but Anne stopped her. "Sasha!"

Sasha could only look at her now former friends one last time before turning away while Grime held her solemnly.

The following morning, everyone had managed to return to Wartwood. Anne and Marcy sat by their usual hangout at the fountain. They wanted to be alone for a bit as they thought over the events that had happened.

"I can't believe that Sasha…" Marcy looked down. "This is my fault."

"Marcy, don't say that," Anne said, patting her hand.

"But it is my fault," Marcy said, pulling her hand away and bringing her knees up to her chest. "I am supposed to be a Newtopian ambassador and last night was nothing short of a diplomatic nightmare. I had no idea that the Toads felt that way… or that Sasha felt that way. Which I guess means that I failed as a friend too…"

"No, you didn't." Anne assured her. "Sasha made her choice… I just hope that she isn't too far gone."

"I don't want to believe that she is gone," Marcy said before she intertwined her hand with Anne's. "Sasha can't be beyond redemption… cause if she is…" Tears leaked from Marcy's face, causing Anne to immediately hug her. "I don't know what to do, Anne."

"Hey, you can't hold the whole world in your shoulders, Mar-Mar," Anne replied as she looked Marcy in the eyes. "We can figure this out together! No matter how long it takes, we'll reach out to Sasha, and we'll talk things out with each other, just like we always do!"

Marcy sniffed as Anne helped wipe her tears off. "You're right, Anne," she said as she placed her hand on Anne's face, "You always know what to say."

The two looked at each other for a moment, their feelings growing stronger. Eventually, the two leaned closer… and shared their first kiss.

Some time later, Marcy met up with Maddie Flour, who wanted Marcy to meet her witchcraft teacher. Said teacher lived in a cart with a centipede connected through the door.

"Hey Marcy, I'd like for you to meet my current mentor," Maddie explained as she introduced Marcy to a tall, humanoid Laos warty newt with wild, unkempt gray hair, yellow eyes, a dirty red dress, a wooden staff, and a ladybug with owl-like features on her shoulder. She looked honestly quite awful. "They call her Liza the Witch Newt."

"Hi, I'm Princess Marcy!" Marcy introduced herself to Maggie's teacher, who just looked at her dismissively.

"Yeah, whatever, kid." Liza waved her off while turning to Maddie. "Did you get the snake oil I need?"

"Yeah, here you go!" Maddie handed her the jar of snake oil. "So when will you give me my next lesson?"

"Soon, I just need to make a sale first," Liza said while not even looking at her. "Anyway, find me some stink weed and dead moss and we'll make abominations or something."

"Alright! Come on, Marcy!" Maddie said as she led a concerned Marcy away.

"I don't know about your teacher, Maddie, she seems so… dismissive," Marcy pointed out.

"Oh that's just the way she is," Maddie said casually. "She's like a cool aunt that acts all cold-hearted, but she secretly cares," she explained with a surprising amount of enthusiasm.

Marcy looked back at Liza, who was drinking a bottle of wine. Liza gave a disgusted look and threw it over her shoulder, shattering it.

"Say Liza," said the centipede connected to her door. Surprisingly, it could talk. "Do you ever get the feeling that we exist simultaneously in multiple parallel universes, completely unaware of the others' very existence?"

"Have you been eating from my mushroom stash again, Scooty?" Liza asked.

"I can still see the colors…" Scooty said while his eyes looked more pinkish.

Sometime later, Anne and Marcy were in the woods together when they were approached by someone… Sasha.

"Sasha?!" Anne and Marcy exclaimed as Anne made Marcy get behind her. "Get back, Marcy, who knows what she's planning!"

"Wait!" Sasha shouted, her hair's shorten now. "I didn't come here to fight, in fact I came here alone," she said while Anne and Marcy looked around in caution.

"How do we know this isn't an ambush?" Anne demanded.

"Hey, ambush them!" Sasha called out, prompting Anne and Marcy to flinch, only for no Toad to pop up. Sasha turned back to them. "See? I told you we're alone." She saw neither girl lowering her guard, causing her to sigh and take her sunglasses off. "Look, I'm not here to fight or have revenge… I came here with a peace offering."

"A peace offering?" Marcy asked as Sasha brought out something to show them. The two gasped, seeing the object in front of them. "Is that…"

"It… can't be…" Anne said in shock, seeing the very object that had brought the three of them here… the music box.

"But it is," Sasha confirmed. "When me, Grimes, and his men were branded traitors, we were forced into hiding. But someone who owed a… debt to us offered the music box as repayment. Thanks to that, we have a way home!"

"That's… that's great, Sasha!" Marcy shouted in excitement.

"Yeah," Anne said in agreement.

"But there's one problem," Sasha told them as she opened the box. "It doesn't work. I don't know how it would, but I figured that your pops could help us, Marcy. He could have the resources to help find out. But what I need is an audience."

Anne and Marcy turned to each other, looking unsure.

"I don't know about this, Marcy…" Anne said.

Sasha looked at them, then looked down. "Look, I understand why you're reluctant to trust me." she admitted. "But what choice do you guys have? This is our ticket way home, and even if it did work now, I don't want to leave you guys behind, and I know that you guys don't want to leave me behind either… maybe, once we get back, you two don't have to talk to me anymore. And well…" She rubbed her scarred arm. "I'm sorry for what I did, what I pulled and… how I've been acting. I should have never taken it out on you."

The couple looked at Sasha and walked towards her. Anne spoke. "Sasha, listen. Me and Marcy have talked about it and well, thanks to some advice from some witch friends…"

"We are willing to give you another chance if you are willing to change," Marcy finished as she patted Sasha's hand while Anne did the same.

This caused Sasha to feel flustered, which she hid. "W-Wait, you do?" she asked nervously.

"We believe that we can fix this, Sasha," Anne said. "And we'll find our way back home, together."

"Yeah, just think of all the stuff waiting for us after seven years," Marcy pointed out. "Like catching up on some anime, binging the new movies, just doing regular human stuff!"

"Yeah, that sounds fun," Sasha nodded with a laugh as the trio of friends continued to talk about what they would do back in the human world. "Wait, witch friends?"

"WAH!" Sasha cried out, having been turned into a Flipward piece as she, Anne, Sprig and Polly ended up being played in a dangerous game of Flipwart. "I HATE THIS GAME!"

"Speak for yourself!" Polly declared as she knocked over a large piece with her sword. "Yeah!"

After going through the first two temples, the trio made it to the third temple. Sasha has been using her powers to get past the obstacles of the fire-based temple, which included defeating the stone golem Toad despite the heavy gravity. However, Marcy and Anne realized that Sasha had been overextending herself.

"Sash, are you alright?" Anne asked in concern.

"I'm…. fine!" she claimed while catching her breath as her hair was still electric pink. She ended up coughing up blood.

"Oh no, I was afraid of this!" Marcy knelt over Sasha. "You've been relying too much on your powers, Sasha, so much it's draining your life! It's why your eye colors are fading!"

"I said I'm… fine!" Sasha shouted. "Let's get... this crystal gem... recharged so... we can go... home…" She suddenly collapsed, which alarmed the two girls.

"SASHA!" Anne and Marcy grabbed her and brought her to the charging station as Marcy quickly brought out the gray gemstone from the box to place it in the station. "Hang on, Sasha, you're going to be okay!"

"Just need to get these powers out of you!" Anne declared as they placed the gem in the charging station. The powers were soon taken out from the blonde, who looked paler than ever.

Once the gemstone was fully charged, Sasha still couldn't move. Anne and Marcy assumed the worst.

"No… Sasha…" Marcy said in tears as she started to cry.

"We're sorry for making you feel like you were being left out," Anne admitted as the two hugged their friend. "It is just that you inspired us to look out for ourselves. We didn't need you to stand up for us anymore… but we still wanted you to be our friend."

"Ugh, would you two stop?"

The dry complaint surprised the two girls as they saw Sasha opening her eyes. "I'm hungry…"

"Sasha!" the two girls cried out as they hugged their best friend, glad that she was alive.

At the Plantar home at night, Sasha was there sleeping on the couch. She still felt drained, but was indeed recovering from the Third Temple. She was staring up at the ceiling with her tired eyes when she heard Marcy's voice.

"Sasha?" Marcy spoke which caused the blonde to turn to her. "You okay? I just wanted to check up on you."

"Hurt… could use another ice bath for these muscles," Sasha commented.

"Hey, we'll make sure to get all the ice we can for them," Marcy said while patting Sasha's head.

"Hey Marcy," Sasha said. "What do you expect will happen when we get back home? Do you really think that we'll be able to stay together and adjust to a normal life, or do you think we'll end up going our separate ways?"

Marcy was quiet for a moment as she thought about her answer. "I… I don't know. We've been gone for so long and we have gotten so used to life here… well, besides almost getting eaten. I'm not used to that."

Sasha chuckled, then fell silent while looking at Marcy, thinking about her and Anne. "Marcy, I have a confession. I was… jealous of you and Anne."

"Jealous? Really?" Marcy asked her.

"You two always had each other no matter what," Sasha explained. "You were friends long before you met me. I was just lucky enough to be accepted as the third wheel in your friendship. And I was… afraid that you two might try to cut me out entirely someday. Because Anne is right. You two don't need me to stand up for you anymore."

"Oh Sash, I didn't know you felt that way," Marcy said as she held onto Sasha's hand, which made the blonde blush hard. "But maybe next time just talk to us instead of trying to use me as a hostage, okay?"

"O-okay," Sasha said as she turned her head. "So do you um… miss your folks?"

"Yeah, all the time," Marcy admitted. "I miss my mom and I expect my dad to say 'Where have you been, young lady' and all that junk." She sighed. "But sometimes… it feels like the more I think about them, the more I… forget what they are really like." She looked at Sasha. "Do you have that feeling too?"

Sasha nodded. "Honestly, I expect my folks to still be split up. But I do barely remember what they're like now and I have no idea how they will react to seeing me looking like I've been through a war. I'll probably be known as the most scarred kid in town." She had a distant look. "I don't know what's going to happen when we get back."

"Hey, I may not know what the future has in store for us either, but I like to think that I'll still have both you and Anne in my life no matter what," Marcy said while holding Sasha's hand close to her. "Because I can't imagine what my life would be without you guys and I refuse to give up on a future with the both of you in it."

Sasha turned to Marcy, a smile forming. "Yeah, me too…"

Things had escalated quickly, as Grime and Sasha's Toad army had staged a coup against the Newtopia Kingdom. Grimes had succeeded in apprehending Andrias while Olivia, Hop Pop, Sprig, and Polly were apprehended as well and Anne and Marcy were surrounded by Toad soldiers. Sasha sat on the throne.

"Sasha, what the hell?!" Anne called out. "Why are you doing this?"

"We thought you wanted to go home!" Marcy shouted with a hurt expression.

"Don't you know, Sasha doesn't want to go back to your backwater human realm!" Grime declared.

"He's right," Sasha said as she stood up. "I have no intention of ever going back."

"But… why?" Anne questioned.

Sasha looked at the Calamity Box as she explained. "Because there is nothing waiting for me back there. Especially after everything I've done, everything I've been through!" Her hands shook briefly. "I am a soldier! I will always be a soldier! Which is why even if I go back, there is no way I would be able to live a normal life…" She turned to the two. "In fact, none of us would."

"What?!" the two exclaimed in shock while Sasha stepped down in front of them.

"We have all grown up and changed a lot these past seven years," Sasha explained. "We are completely different people now and I doubt your parents would be able to recognize you two when they saw you again. In fact, our parents probably have even moved on, considering us dead! We have everything we need here in Amphibia, because that's where we belong… this is our home." She looked at the two, who were still in shock at what she was saying. "Which is why I have an offer, a proposal for you two…"

And that's when Sasha knelt before them, holding their hands.

"What?" Anne looked shocked.

"What?!" Marcy looked flustered.

"Huh?" Sprig was confused.

"I love you two," Sasha confessed, shocking everyone. "I know that we don't have a place in the human world, but we can still have a place here together! We can live here, just the three of us!" she said while facing them. "We can continue to grow up here, start a new life together! We can rule Amphibia together, just the three of us! I'll even spare your surrogate families for you two!" She turned to Marcy. "Marcy, you're a princess, you can make this work for us!"

"I… Sasha…" Marcy didn't know what to say.

"What are you…?" Anne asked in confusion. She and Marcy glanced at each other in shock. "Sasha, we just want to go home…"

"But this is our home!" Sasha declared, sounding desperate. "With us three, we'll be the most unstoppable Three Queens of Amphibia ever! Just think what we can accomplish together!"

"...Are you mad?" Anne called her out to it, "You expect us to give up our chance to go home?! And you think that confessing to us is going to automatically get us by your side?! I've been missing my parents for years, Sasha!"

"Forget about them!" Sasha growled, turning to Marcy "You can be by my side, right Marcy?"

"No… no, I don't!" Marcy backed away. "Sasha, this plan it's… I don't know what to think of you now…" She looked at Sasha sadly. "I thought that you changed, I wanted to give you a second chance and after the talk we had… I wanted you and Anne to be part of my life but now… I don't even know you anymore!"

"And after everything, we wanted to give you a second chance… but you blew it!" Anne declared angrily. "You've changed for the worse, Sasha. You have become a warmonger! A-A tyrant supervillain! When we get home, we are done with you! I never want to see you near us again!" she declared, while Sasha looks hurt from Anne's words.

"Well, that hurts," Polly commented awkwardly.

"And this is why I don't date," Andrias commented.

Sasha looked at Anne, and then at Marcy who just turned away. "Very well," she said coolly, turning to the Toad soldiers. "Throw them all to the dungeon! One way or another, Anne and Marcy, I will not let you two go…"

"You won't get away with this, Sasha, you hear me?!" Anne cried out as she was dragged away along with everyone else.

Later that same day, the coup was prevented, Sasha and Grime were defeated and placed in Yunan and Olivia's custody. Anne handed Andrias the Calamity Box.

"Alright, King Andrias," Anne said. "Let's head back home."

"In good time, my dear, but first… I'm gonna let you all in on a little secret," Andrias said as he held the Calamity Box. "There was a time when Newtopia was truly great, but that greatness was stolen from us." He looked in the distance, nostalgia rising inside of him. "Centuries of prosperity brought to an end because of me… I was weak," he admitted. "Trusting those who said they were my friends and because of that, the music box was taken under my watch. It cost us everything and after a thousand years, no one even remembers our legacy…" He smiled, a more maddened smile. "But now, at long last, the box is back! And with its power, Newtopia will be returned to glory!"

"Oh, well that's nice," Hop Pop said naively, but Sprig and Polly sensed something was not right with his tone.

"Something's wrong here…" Anne notes.

"For you see, my ancestors weren't frail explorers, they were glorious conquerors!" Andrias declared, stepping up to a pedestal and placing the Calamity Box on it, which activated a power throughout his castle.

The castle suddenly began to rise, which caused a lot of panic to all the citizens of Newtopia as they watched the castle lifting up. Several robot factories were also reactivated, robot frogs quickly being produced on the assembly line.

"Oh we are way high up," Sprig commented while looking out the window before robot frogs flew into the castle, surrounding everyone.

"I'm sorry Anne, Marcy, and Sasha," King Andrias told the three girls. "But it looks like you won't be going home yet. Wouldn't want you three telling anyone about the coming invasion."

"What?!" Anne exclaimed.

"Yes, I've been meaning to take over your world, though not just Earth." He felt the scar across his face. "The Boiling Isles as well. Got an old score to settle. And now that I have the music box, I can finish the work my ancestors started. From this castle, I'll not only rule over this world, but all worlds!" he declared while laughing evilly.

"Andrias… this… this isn't what any of us agreed to!" Olivia shouted.

"I can't believe that I've been serving a mad king!" Yunan realized.

"You won't get away with this!" Anne declared.

"Anne's right," Sasha told him. "We'll stop you!"

"Stop me? I can see a demonstration of my power is in order," Andrias said. "Behold!"

All were forced to watch as a laser cannon on top of the castle targeted the North Toad Tower, shooting a massive energy beam that easily destroyed the tower in a single shot.

"NO!" Sasha and Grimes cried out in shock. Sasha turns to the girls. "Anne, Marcy, we have to stop him, he's crazy!"

"I don't believe this," Anne said, rustling her own hair. "We were so focused on each other, we couldn't see right in front of us!"

"Focus Anne!" Hop Pop advised. "If we can get that music box away from him, maybe we'll stand a fighting chance!"

"Right, Pops!" Anne declared, just as Marcy stepped up to Andrias.

"Andrias, this isn't right!" Marcy declared. "You have to stop this now, this is going too far!"

"Marcy," Andrias said as he looked down at Marcy with a softened expression. "I actually would like nothing more than for you to join me as we can conquer worlds. Together, we could rule entire universes together as father and daughter…" He shut his eyes and sighed. "But I already know what your answer would be if I asked you." His face hardened as he looked at Marcy's frightened features. "I know you're afraid, my child. You were like a daughter to me… but this is my glorious destiny and it won't be denied by anyone… not even you."

Marcy took a step back, looking devastated as she teared up. "I… I trusted you… I loved you!" She fell on her knees, her heart breaking. "Everything I've known about you… it was all a lie, is it?! How could I have been a fool…?!"

Yunan and Olivia saw Marcy breaking down, causing them to turn to glare at Andrias. Olivia was the one who spoke. "You broke that girl's heart, Andrias… I hope you're proud of yourself." Andrias didn't look at Olivia, instead looking away.

Anne walked up to Marcy, helped her up. She tried to calm Marcy down while glaring at Andrias, who was unable to look her in the eyes. Anne turned to Marcy. "Don't worry, Marcy, powers or no powers, we will stop Andrias."

Yunan nodded at Sasha and Grime as she quickly freed them. "You two will be pardoned if you help stop him!"

"We are with you guys till the end!" Sprig declared as he pulled out his slingshot while Polly and Hop Pop stepped up with him.

Marcy was still crying while feeling Olivia patting her shoulder, along with Yunan's hand on her head. "Don't worry, Marcy, we have your back," Olivia reassured her.

"Thanks moms," Marcy replied while looking at everyone as she calmed down and straightened herself up, wiping away her tears. "Alright everyone, let's stop King Andrias!"

"You guys are serious," Andrias said as he looked at the group of resistance before him. "Okay." He pulled out a sword hilt and ignited its fiery blade. "Let's have some fun."

And that brings us to now, when Marcy's life had finished flashing before her eyes.

Marcy looked down. In her arms was the music box and through her chest was the top of a flaming sword. She had been impaled… by King Andrias.

"MARCY!" Anne and Sasha cried out in shock and horror as they stood in the portal with Sprig and Polly.

"AAAAAAHHH!" Olivia screamed, even though Marcy was unable to see her at the moment.

"Now look what you've made me do," came Andrias's voice from behind Marcy.

"D-Dad…?" Marcy managed to say as she thought she could taste blood in her mouth. Her eyes rolled back and her body fell forward, off the sword and onto the ground. The music box flew out of her arms and in a bright flash of light, the portal she had managed to open closed. Anne, Sasha, Sprig, and Polly were gone.

And just like in her nightmares, darkness took Marcy Wu. Though seconds before she was embraced by the darkness, Marcy heard a voice speaking to her:

"Now you are ours."

After that, everything went black and Marcy could see or hear nothing else…

Whew, now that was hard to narrate.

Oh, you must be wondering about that. Well, allow me to introduce myself.

I am The Guardian. That's right, the ultra-cosmic deity that is the guardian of the three crystal gems and in charge of watching all of the multiverse. I have seen countless worlds, branches of timelines that differs-

Oh, wait, you're not interested in that part, are you? You want to know about the sidetrack?

Well, it's just that we have decided to take a break from the Clawthorne drama to show the adventures of some other mortals whose lives we've followed. You're curious about a lot of things going on about the characters, mainly about Sasha. Boy that girl has some issues, you know? To clarify, Sasha Waybright who had not the three had founded the Calamity Box at such a young age, she wouldn't have been such a harden child soldier. In fact, there's been a lot of blond child soldiers in this universe…

Sasha has grew more harsher and more insecure. In fact, she's a lot more in common with the Canon-Marcy from the Primes. That being that this Sasha doesn't want to go back to Earth, as she wants to stay in Amphibia with her friends. But we all know how that turned out. Yeesh, it's always hard to watch.

So what has happened to Anne and Sasha? Well that's going to be explored on a later date. But for this special, we wanted to focus on the life and relationships of Marcy Wu. What we've been journeying was her life flashing before her eyes. How she met Anne and Sasha, how they ended up in Amphibia, her meeting with Olivia, Yunan and Andrias, who she sees as substitute parental figures. Her feelings with Anne, and her friendship with Maggie, along with meeting a familiar witch lady, who may or may not be based off from the universe where Luz Noceda ends up in Amphibia along with the trio.

And yes, I am the same narrator that Hooty heard and Belos can see me… I'm still questioning about that.

And now, a teaser for what's next to come:

Alight, thanks to the Guardian to fill the chapter's notes, here's some trivia:

-The beginning where Anne first meets Marcy is straight out adapted from Marcy's Journal, where Anne wrote an entry of the journal about how the two met and found each other. It's a great read.

-The song Lady Olivia sang to little Marcy is "My Little Reason Why" from Steven Universe Future.

-That "Deliciousville" line is from the obscure but mediocre Cartoon Network show Squirrel Boy, which gonna be honest, I'm surprised no one has memed that line cause that's the best line that really sticks to me for some reason.

-We've also met counterparts of Eda and Lilith's Newtsonas. Curator Lilipad who pose as a Lilith expy, and Liza the Witch Newt, Eda's counterpart. Are they sisters? Yes, yes they are. And Scooty's an obvious Hooty reference...

-Took a bit of influence from "For the Future" with Sasha's confession to Anne and Marcy.

Ultimate-drax: Well, at least you know.

BlueKnight-X2: Yeah, it wasn't fair, but what can you do? The law's the law. And yeah, there's a lot of Guses around…

Crosshot: Oh you should definitely give the Gorillaz a listen to, especially their current albums. They're the only animated characters that do age! How Helga's alive will be explored soon in a later time. As for the Gordons, obviously they'll be around Gravity Falls for the time being. I mean, their home town is under control of those Archangels guys. As for Randy, well as one certain Immortal I know once said, his greatest battle is just around the bend…

Matteso585: 1) ...Geez, you really want Faust to be killed off, do you? Well, it's not like school's more important than reuniting with their families. There's a lot more at stake here than grades, man. 2) No Spoilers. 3) Yes. 4) Meh, she probably already guessed it nor doesn't really care much about it. 5) Well you got that right.

Franco Almiron: Pretty much a sidetrack.

Shuffollower: Tink will find Puck once she looks around for him.

Alamout: 1) There will be. 2) Well, no, since the Orphanage is run by Scooter Crane, it automatically belongs to the Bard Coven, and to an extension, the Emperor's Coven. So they really can't do much about it. 3) Obviously, Philip created the portal door that Eda had. 4) Perhaps.

GuestMccarry: That's not how guardianship works, dude. Stanley isn't really a "legal guardian" as he was technically posing as his brother. So sorry, Ford's Dipper's guardian whether you like it or not. I don't make the laws here, and it's supposed to shake the status quo of things. So Ford will have to take Stan's place. Stan would've remained free if no one has a Memory Gun with them.

Remember to fav, follow and review, submit your OCs if they could be of use. Until next time, see ya!
