Showdown Slowdown

...

Three grueling days of relentless running through the unforgiving terrains of Fire Country had taken a toll on their weary bodies. Sleep had become a fleeting luxury, stolen in short intervals during the night before they resumed their trek. Every step felt like an uphill battle, as fatigue settled deep within their bones.

With muscles strained and breaths labored, they pushed themselves beyond their limits. Naruto, driven by an unyielding determination to find Jiraiya, led the way, his willpower alone guiding their steps. At one point Naruto created clones to carry each of the girls as they faltered. In the end that proved too much as Naruto's chakra was drained to the breaking point at the end of the day, he landed face down dead asleep before he fully landed. Ino and Hinata, their own personal conflicts set aside for the time being, landed in the grass beside him, none moved for hours until with a grunt Naruto drawing upon an inner strength started them moving again.

As day turned into night and back into day, they traversed the treacherous landscapes, relentless in their pursuit. The terrain tested their endurance, with steep slopes and rugged paths challenging their every stride. The scorching sun beat down upon them, sapping their energy, while the chilling night air gnawed at their resilience.

Blistered feet and aching muscles became the norm, pain serving as a constant reminder to get going. They pushed through fatigue, blurring the lines between physical exhaustion and sheer willpower. Each stride forward was a testament to their training, their fear of a future lost propelling them forward. Each had a goal in mind, but sadly they all didn't align.

The landscapes changed before their eyes, from dense forests to barren grassland, from winding valleys to towering mountains. The surroundings blurred into a continuous stream of colors and shapes as they raced against time. They focused solely on the path ahead, leaving behind any personal conflicts or doubts, their minds consumed by the arduous journey, fear drove them far more than hope as they ran from the evil.

As they reached the border of Hot Water Country, a mix of exhaustion and triumph washed over them. They stood at the threshold, their bodies weary, their minds a blur. The road behind them ended in their lost past, the road ahead to a new future.

The dirt road stretched out before them, a winding trail leading to the heart of the Hot Water country down to the Chigiri Sea. The city of Hot Springs lay down this road, with a small mile marker pointing the way, 20 miles to go before the real work began. How to find the master of spies and self-proclaimed super pervert in a city known for its wild parties and glittering casinos, lining the streets with lost hope its gutters filled with the remains of shattered dreams.

Ino spotted a large rock by the roadside and plopped down, her fatigue weighing on her. "Can't we just take a damn break for an hour?" she grumbled, frustration evident in her voice.

Hinata, feeling the same exhaustion, joined Ino on the rock. She took a long swig from her water bottle, her breathing labored. Leaning back on her hands, she cast a worried glance at Naruto, her eyes silently watching him, she was always watching him.

Sakura, her muscles aching, settled on another rock and let out a sigh of relief. "We've been pushing ourselves so hard," she remarked, her voice tinged with a mix of exhaustion and concern. "But we can't afford to waste too much time. We have to find Jiraiya before it's too late."

Seeing Naruto still standing in the road Sakura said, "Come on, Naruto. You've been running for three days straight. You need to take a break too, or you'll end up collapsing again."

Naruto wearily settled on the opposite side of the road, his body exhausted. Deep down, he felt an overwhelming restlessness, unable to find a feeling of inner peace. His gaze shifted to Sakura, a mixture of admiration and longing flickering in his eyes, but he held back his words. Amidst the group, a growing web of unspoken resentments, concealed desires, and turbulent emotions entangled them all as exhaustion broke down any barriers they had. Hinata's intense glare reflected the simmering hatred the villagers harbored, Ino's unpredictable behavior swung between flirtation and coldness, and Sakura's strong and then fragile demeanor hinted at a hidden pain, he felt she would break down crying at any moment. It all left Naruto yearning for a simple bandit, someone he could direct his frustrations and pent-up emotions towards.

AFter an hour, maybe more, Hinata remarked, "That last sign said 20 miles, we should be there in a couple of hours,", rising to her feet. She discarded her long overcoat days ago, revealing her slender figure. With a stretch of her arms overhead and a satisfying crack of her back, she displayed her figure without reservation. Proud of all the hard work she put into training it showed and she had no qualms about flaunting it.

Two hours later, they stood on a cliff overlooking the bustling city of Hot Springs. The seaside town sprawled before them, its size dwarfing their home village. The main street, flanked by 5 to 6-story buildings, ran parallel to the sparkling sea. The sight of numerous people and boats overwhelmed their senses. Laughter and excitement filled the air as speedboats whizzed by, and kites soared above the water, pulling adventurous souls along. Kite surfing had been invented in Hot Springs and it was one of its main attractions.

Even in the brightness of day, the city was adorned with lights. The casinos, with their constant flow of visitors, created a surreal atmosphere. Some establishments boasted magnificent water fountains, while others featured artificial volcanoes that spewed forth fiery balls. It was a spectacle that seemed beyond reality for the small group of travelers.

Naruto, his hand trembling with anger, pointed at the city below. "How are we going to find Jiraiya down there?"

Ino grinned mischievously. "I'm betting he'll be one of the judges at the bikini contest."

Hinata, sounding less assured than usual, remarked, "Even with the Byakugan, it will be challenging to locate him in such a massive crowd."

Sakura took charge, her frustration evident. "Let's not waste time. We won't find him if we stay up here." With that, she led the way down the winding road, towards the heart of the lively city.

As they stepped foot onto the bustling streets of Hot Springs, a wave of sensations washed over them, engulfing their senses in a whirlwind of sights, sounds, and emotions. The city unveiled itself in all its grandeur, leaving a lasting impression on their minds.

The first thing that struck them was the spectacle of lights. Everywhere they looked, neon signs adorned buildings, creating a dazzling display that illuminated the sky. The streets seemed to come alive with vibrant hues as if the city itself was an artist's canvas, splashed with an array of colors that danced in harmony.

The air was alive with excitement and anticipation. The sound of laughter, conversations, and music filled their ears, blending into a symphony of energy. The lively chatter of people from all walks of life intermingled with the occasional jingle of slot machines, screams of winners and losers alike, and the distant melody of street performers, creating a captivating cacophony unique to the city.

As they ventured further, they found themselves surrounded by architectural wonders. Magnificent hotels and casinos rose into the sky, each one competing for attention with its distinct design and lavish embellishments. The grandeur of the structures, with their intricate details and opulent facades, evoked a sense of awe and wonder.

The streets were a bustling thoroughfare, wider than any in their village, teeming with a diverse mix of people. Locals and tourists alike moved with purpose, their footsteps echoing against the pavement. Some were dressed in glamorous attire, ready to indulge in the city's vibrant nightlife, while others donned casual attire, simply soaking in the atmosphere. The air was thick with anticipation as if every passerby carried a secret desire, a hope for a taste of fortune, or an unforgettable experience.

Amidst the spectacle, they couldn't help but feel a mix of exhilaration and apprehension. The sheer scale and sensory overload of Hot Springs City overwhelmed their senses, leaving them in awe of the city's magnitude. It was a place where dreams were pursued, where fortunes were won and lost, and where the line between reality and fantasy blurred.

As they stood at the crossroad, uncertainty etched on their faces, Hinata's keen eyes caught sight of a simple sign that read 'Breach.' Without hesitation, she turned and briskly made her way down the street, a determination in her stride. The others, devoid of any better options, instinctively followed her lead, hoping she had discovered something significant.

Emerging from the narrow passage between two towering hotels, they were greeted by a breathtaking sight—a pristine white sand beach stretching as far as the eye could see in both directions. The sun's rays danced on the glistening sand, creating a shimmering spectacle. The beach was dotted with people, each lost in their little world, lounging on towels and blankets, seeking respite from the scorching sun.

Hinata gracefully moved forward, her chakra guiding her feet, allowing her to glide above the hot sand with ease. She weaved her way through the scattered beachgoers, her determination unwavering. As she reached the firmer, damp sand near the water's edge, she dropped her backpack, kicked off her sandals, and dashed towards the inviting waves, leaping into the water with a splash only to appear over a hundred feet from the beach bobbing in the waves.

Ino, bewildered by Hinata's sudden action, called out to her in disbelief. Her voice carried a mix of confusion and concern, cutting through the sounds of crashing waves and distant laughter.

"What are you doing?", yelled out Ino as Hinata floated in the waves.

In answer Hinata swam back to shore, as the waves gently rolled in, a figure emerged from the water with an ethereal grace, captivating the attention of all on the beach. With each step, she seemed to defy gravity, her movements fluid and mesmerizing. The sun-kissed her flawless white skin, illuminating her every contour with a radiant glow.

Her slender silhouette accentuated the curves that drew gazes of admiration from both men and women alike. She exuded confidence, a confidence born not only from her physical beauty but also from an inner strength that shone through her every stride. The delicate fabric of her clothes clung to her body, revealing just enough to ignite imaginations and leave an indelible impression.

Her long, lustrous hair cascaded down her back, shimmering like spun silk in the sunlight. As she walked, it seemed as if time stood still, for all eyes were drawn to her. Whispers of awe and admiration rippled through the air, blending with the soft sound of the ocean's melody.

With every step, the sand yielded beneath her feet, leaving imprints that would soon be washed away by the incoming tide. She possessed an air of confidence that transcended societal expectations, a force to be reckoned with. Her presence was magnetic, drawing others to her, the beach was silent even if only for a fleeting moment.

Watching her emerge from the ocean onto the beach, everyone was captivated by her allure, momentarily transported to a world where beauty reigned supreme.

"Fuck, I think I'm in love.", said Ino as she stared open-mouthed at the heiress walking up to her.

With water droplets glistening in her hair, Hinata reached up and gathered her long locks, pulling them forward over her shoulder. The strands, still damp from the ocean, clung together before cascading down in a captivating display. As she twisted her hair to wring out the water, it framed her face, accentuating her features with a touch of wild elegance.

Her action revealed a glimpse into the practicality behind her beauty. The simple act of tossing her hair aside served as a reminder of the physical exertion she had endured in her life, training every day under the watchful eye of her father. Her words carried a sense of straightforwardness, devoid of pretense or vanity, "I needed a bath,", she bluntly stated to Ino before walking off.

With her bag slung effortlessly over her shoulder and her sandals delicately held by a single finger, Hinata walked away from the shore, her steps purposeful and determined. She made her way back towards the nearby hotels, leaving behind the allure of the beach and the curious gazes of onlookers.

"What just happened?" Naruto exclaimed, his eyes glued to the retreating form of Hinata as she entered one of the nearby hotels.

Ino, who had been observing the scene with a mix of surprise and curiosity, chimed in, "I have no idea, but it seems like Hinata has something on her mind. We should follow her and find out."

Sakura, the only one that seemed unaffected by Hinata, agreed with Ino's suggestion. "You're right, Ino. Let's go and see what she's up to."

Entering the hotel lobby, they found Hinata nose to nose with a man in a suit. She had pulled him over the desk, causing him to wave his arms in an attempt to regain his balance. Two security guards were making their way over to the commotion, their concern evident as they placed their hands on the weapon on their belts.

"I don't care if you're fully booked, find me a room," Hinata nissed, her voice firm and unwavering. She released her grip on the manager, allowing him to fall back into his chair, albeit a bit shaken.

The larger of the two guards approached, towering over Hinata, unaware of the formidable power she possessed. Oblivious to the danger he was in, he questioned, "Is there a problem?"

The manager, realizing the situation could escalate further, quickly intervened. "No, no, we're fine. It was just a little misunderstanding," he assured, glancing over Hinata's identification and confirming her status as a member of the Hyuga clan with an extensive account at the hotel.

"I am so sorry for questioning you. I can have one of our penthouse suites ready for you in approximately two hours," the manager apologized, returning her ID and promptly issuing orders to have the current occupants of the penthouse evicted, a minor merchant family with no connections.

Hinata graciously accepted his apology, expressing her gratitude. "Thank you. And these are my friends, as I mentioned earlier. They will be staying with me," she declared, gesturing to her companions who had walked up behind her as they talked.

"Yes, yes, good I will have the staff alerted.", said the Manager looking over at the young shinobi.

As they all gathered together away from the flow of people, Ino locked eyes with Hinata, a daring challenge in her gaze. "I see you're throwing your clan's name and money around," Ino remarked, crossing her arms and displaying her disapproval now that the spell from the beach was broken. She would have to ask Hinata if that was some type of Hyuga genjutsu.

Hinata stood her ground, her voice firm. "We are not on a secret mission," she clarified, emphasizing her point.

Sakura, keeping her eyes on the crowd of people moving in and out of the hotel, added. "I don't think we're on a sanctioned mission at all. So either this works, or we'll all have a long talk with the T&A department," she said, hoping Naruto's crazy luck was at work and they would spot Jiraiya and bring an end to this mission before it even began.

"Come on, Naruto. We have some time to kill before the room is ready. Let's find you some new clothes," Ino suggested, her grip firm as she pulled him into one of the shops that lined the lobby. Almost two hours later, with Naruto's arms full of shopping bags, most of them for Ino, they joined the others as the hotel manager handed over the keys to the top-floor penthouse suite.

We soon find Naruto, standing on the balcony, gazing down at the beach far below, his expression filled with awe. "Wow, I can't believe this," he exclaimed, his voice filled with wonder. Setting the bags down in the middle of the living room, he had hurried over to the open door to take in the breathtaking view. The sun slowly sinking into the ocean, the lively atmosphere with people and sailboats, and the distant sounds of laughter drifting up from the beach made it all feel surreal compared to their life in the village.

Sakura joined him, her arm naturally looping through his without a second thought. It was an old habit that she found hard to control.

"It is a wonderful view but we have to get moving if we want to find Jiraiya.", said Sakura bringing Naruto back inside.

Leaving the enchanting scene of the sunset behind, Naruto and Sakura stepped into the common room, only to find that all the bags had vanished, along with Ino. Their eyes turned to Hinata, who was seated on one of the overstuffed chairs, engrossed in a tourist book. She flipped through its pages, searching for something specific. With a determined expression on her face, Hinata located a map of the city and promptly tore it out from the book. Without missing a beat, she picked up another copy of the book and repeated the action.

Curiosity piqued, Naruto and Sakura approached Hinata, their gaze fixed on the torn map in her hands. They exchanged a glance, silently wondering what Hinata was up to.

"Where is Ino.", asked Sakura as she picked up the map and looked at it. It was for tourists so it mostly had the casinos and main shopping centers. It would be useful to find a super pervert as it had a red dot where each of the 'gentlemen's clubs' was located.

"She is in there.", said Hinata pointing with a nod of her head at one of the bedroom doors, "Something about cleaning up and changing into something appropriate."

Hearing the door open they all looked over and as Ino entered the room, all eyes were drawn to her, captivated by her mesmerizing presence. She donned a flowing dress that embraced her figure with elegance and style. The dress featured a floral halter top that showcased her shoulders and accentuated her feminine allure leaving her midriff bare. The matching skirt hung low on her hips was a work of art, skillfully designed to enhance her curves. It dared to reveal one of her long and slender legs up to the hip, creating a tantalizing contrast as the fabric gracefully swept the ground on the other side.

With each step, Ino exuded confidence and allure, exuding a magnetic charm that held everyone's attention. Her radiant smile brightened the room, illuminating her features and adding to her irresistible appeal. As she walked towards Naruto, she placed her hands on her hips and greeted him with a playful smile.

"Do you like my new outfit?" she asked, her voice carrying a hint of anticipation.

Naruto stood there, his mouth slightly agape, at a loss for words as he tried to process the scene unfolding before him. However, Sakura, ever quick-witted and perceptive, pushed her way between Naruto and Ino, sensing that something was amiss. With a decisive snap of her fingers, Sakura dispelled the mild genjutsu that Ino had cast, causing the illusion to shatter.

As the genjutsu dissipated, Ino's appearance remained striking, resembling that of a supermodel enjoying a vacation. However, the mesmerizing allure that had enchanted Naruto and others was no longer present. Reality settled back in, revealing Ino's true form, albeit still stunning and fashionable. Sakura glanced at Ino, her expression questioning, as she sought an explanation for the genjutsu and the purpose behind it.

Sakura crossed her arms, her brows furrowing as she confronted Ino. "What was that all about?"

Ino smirked mischievously, her eyes darting from Sakura to Naruto. "I couldn't just let Hinata have all the fun. Did you see her at the beach?"

Hinata interjected, her voice laced with condescension. "That wasn't a genjutsu. I don't need such tricks to get what I want." With those words, she picked up her travel bag and headed toward one of the other bedrooms.

Sakura glanced towards the closed door, a mix of curiosity and concern etched on her face. "We should all change into something more fitting for this city before we go after that pervert," she suggested, her tone filled with an air of urgency.

Naruto, still processing the situation, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we can't let him get away. Let's get ready and find him," he said, his determination shining through his words.

As they retreated to their individual rooms, an undercurrent of tension permeated the air, intensifying the inner struggles of each ninja. Naruto's mind was a whirlwind of confusion, the stark contrast between the vibrant city and his humble village leaving him disoriented. The dynamic between Ino and Sakura was a constant rollercoaster of mixed signals, vacillating between flirtation and avoidance. Amidst the chaos, one thing remained steadfast: Hinata's unwavering disdain for him. It felt more real than the fleeting interactions with the other two, resonating as a reality he could understand. Hate he knew, affection was a foreign concept best left untouched.

Sakura carefully unpacked the shopping bag Ino had left for her, curious to see what the fashion-savvy kunoichi had chosen. Inside, she found a stunning red bikini, its vibrant color capturing her attention. The bikini was stylish and flattering, a departure from her usual Sakura-themed attire.

She decided to try it on, slipping into the bikini and admiring herself in the mirror. The fit was perfect, accentuating her curves in all the right places. Sakura felt a surge of confidence as she imagined herself walking along the beach or enjoying a night at the casino with Naruto. The bikini made her feel beautiful and empowered, ready to embrace the allure of the city.

Alongside the bikini, Sakura discovered a yellow sundress that drew her interest. She slipped into the dress, the fabric caressing her skin. The dress was elegant and sophisticated, a testament to Ino's impeccable taste. Sakura appreciated the fact that it was both fashionable and practical, allowing her to move freely without worrying about any wardrobe mishaps if she had to kick someone in the face tonight. The thought of laying out that old pervert made her smile.

As she twirled in front of the mirror, Sakura felt a sense of excitement and anticipation for the night ahead. The dress hugged her figure in all the right places, now let's see if she could get the same reaction out of Naruto that Ino pulled off but she wouldn't be using any genjutsu.

Sakura stepped into the common room, clad in her new outfit, and Ino couldn't help but compliment her. "Wow, Sakura, looking good," Ino exclaimed, her eyes scanning Sakura's transformed appearance.

Curiosity got the better of Sakura, and she immediately inquired about Naruto's whereabouts. She expected him to be the first one to finish his shower and change into his signature orange tracksuit. However, Ino's response caught her off guard.

"Oh, I took his clothes while he was in the shower," Ino admitted with a mischievous grin, pointing toward the pile of dirty garments in the corner of the room. Sakura's worry began to intensify as she contemplated what Ino had planned for Naruto.

"Don't worry that pink little head of yours," Ino reassured Sakura, her voice dripping with confidence, "I left him an outfit."

As Naruto stepped out of the bedroom, both girls looked over at him as the soft glow of the setting sun illuminated his sun-kissed skin, highlighting his rugged features. His presence exuded a mix of confidence and youthful boyish charm, capturing their attention effortlessly. Dressed for a night out, he wore an open shirt that danced with the gentle breeze, revealing glimpses of his well-defined chest and sculpted physique. The fabric, a blend of silk and linen, clung to him in all the right places, accentuating his sense of style.

Complementing the shirt, he sported tailored shorts that showcased his muscular legs. Crafted from a light and breathable fabric, the shorts provided both comfort and a touch of sophistication. The hemline fell just above the knee, teasing a glimpse of his sun-bronzed skin and adding to his overall appeal.

As Naruto approached them, a smile adorning his face, Sakura and Ino's hearts fluttered in their chests, a shared feeling of being the center of his attention. They couldn't help but be captivated by his presence, his charm, and the undeniable aura of someone who had worked tirelessly to become stronger. He would be Hokage someday, a Hokage everyone would follow to the ends of the earth if asked. They each hoped to capture his heart if not now then soon, very soon.

"Is this the outfit you wanted me to wear?", asked Naruto having never had clothes like this before.

Ino's mischievous grin turned into a knowing smirk as Naruto questioned the outfit she had chosen for him. The moment he opened his shirt to look down, revealing a glimpse of his well-defined physique, Sakura and Ino couldn't help but be momentarily breathless. The dedication and effort he had poured into his training were evident.

At that moment, Sakura and Ino couldn't deny the attraction they felt toward Naruto. It was as if time stood still, and they were captivated by his presence, his strength, and the undeniable connection that seemed to form between them. However, amidst their own emotions and desires, they knew that the path to Naruto's heart was a complex and uncertain one, filled with obstacles and unspoken feelings. This was and wasn't the man they married all these years ago in their own timeline, this Naruto had already started to change before their eyes.

Suppressing their inner turmoil, Sakura and Ino exchanged a knowing glance, silently acknowledging the unspoken rivalry between them.

"Yes, you picked the right one, you look very handsome," Ino complimented, her eyes scanning Naruto's attire appreciatively. Sakura joined in, examining him with a mix of admiration and curiosity. As they observed him closely, their ninja instincts kicked in, and they noticed the weapon pouch discreetly fastened to the back of his shorts, cleverly concealed beneath his shirt. It was a practical and smart addition, one that they hadn't thought of incorporating into their own outfits.

"Are we all ready to go now.", said Hinata as she joined them.

Hinata's outfit for the night out on the town was sleek and edgy. She wore a fitted black leather jacket that added a touch of rebellion and strength. Underneath, she chose a bold crimson-colored, form-fitting, sleeveless top that accentuated her figure. For the bottoms, she opted for high-waisted black leather leggings that accentuated her silhouette. Completing the look, she wore ankle boots with chunky heels and accessorized with a sleek cuff bracelet. Hinata was ready for whatever the night had in store for her—whether it be dancing or engaging in a fierce fight.

Seeing the look on everyone's faces she said, "You are not the only one that can go shopping."

"I have a map for everyone," Hinata stated, her voice steady and determined. She handed each of them a map she had meticulously marked from the tourist guides, dividing the city into four distinct sections.

Sakura studied the map, her brows furrowing slightly. The clustering of nightclubs and more provocative establishments caught her attention. "Do you think it's wise for us to separate?" she asked, her tone laced with caution.

Hinata's response was direct and unwavering. "I don't see why not."

Ino said with a hint of concern. "I believe it's safer if we pair up, just in case we encounter any trouble."

Naruto glanced between the three girls, his mind echoing their thoughts. "We've trained in teamwork, and going alone feels like we're inviting trouble," he remarked, his words reflecting a shared belief.

"I will go with Hinata, we can do the night clubs and she can look into the strip clubs from outside.", his voice filled with confidence, he had a feeling that the pervert would be in one of the clubs. He turned to face Hinata, who took a step back, her gaze fixed on him with a mix of surprise and animosity. The history between them was fraught with conflict, including Hinata's previous attempts to kill him in the minds of all.

Sakura and Ino exchanged concerned glances, aware of the tension between Naruto and Hinata. Sakura spoke up, her voice tinged with worry. "Are you sure it's a good idea?"

Hinata's response was curt and cold. "I don't need your protection, Naruto. I can handle myself," she stated, her voice laced with menace.

Naruto's eyes gleamed with a mischievous glint. "But Hinata," he insisted, a determined tone in his voice. "We'll keep an eye on each other, and if things get out of hand, we'll regroup immediately."

Hinata's initial resistance softened slightly, her gaze meeting Naruto's. "Fine," she conceded, her voice tinged with caution. "Just don't slow me down."

Sakura interjected, trying to bring some structure to their plan. "Okay, but let's establish a meeting point in four hours at the center of town," she suggested, pointing to a spot on the map. "That way, we can share what we've learned and continue our search."

Nodding in agreement, Naruto and Hinata acknowledged Sakura's proposal, albeit with a lingering tension between them.

…...

Ino's frustration bubbled up, causing her to let out an exasperated yell. The passersby turned their heads, giving the pair a curious glance. "I can't believe he picked her. What is he thinking?" Ino's voice carried, her words laced with disbelief and anger, uncaring about who might overhear.

Sakura, equally seething inside, tried to maintain a semblance of composure. "Will you please calm down?" she urged, her voice carrying a hint of irritation. "It's not the end of the world... yet." Deep down, Sakura shared Ino's concerns, but she knew they needed to keep their emotions in check and focus on their mission.

Sakura took a moment to unfold the map and glanced around, realizing they had veered off course. They found themselves at a crossroads and quickly determined the next street that would lead them to the beach area, where late-night parties were known to take place. This mission was unlike any Sakura had experienced before, venturing into the vibrant nightlife rather than her usual hospital duties. She couldn't help but wonder how different her life might have been if she had pursued missions like this from the start.

Trying to lighten the mood, Sakura turned to Ino and asked, "Have you ever been here?" Hoping to engage her friend in conversation.

Ino chuckled and gestured at her beach-appropriate outfit. "What do you think? I've been here a few times, mostly tracking down smugglers."

As they reached the beach, they purposefully let their feet sink into the soft white sand, opting to blend in with the civilians rather than using chakra to walk on the surface. The atmosphere was electric, with large crowds of young people in their twenties, reveling in the night. Drinks flowed, bodies swayed to the music, and the beach was dotted with lively fires.

As Sakura and Ino continued their mission, their eyes scanned the crowded beach, searching for any signs of Jiraiya's distinctive white hair or any suspicious individuals. They were not only focused on their target but also had to contend with persistent advances from intoxicated men.

"Ugh, these guys won't give up," Ino grumbled, swatting away an overly persistent admirer.

Sakura gritted her teeth, feeling her patience wear thin. "We can't let them distract us. Stay focused."

They navigated through the sea of people, dodging flirtatious gazes and unwelcome advances. The loud music and laughter mingled with the crashing waves, creating a chaotic ambiance that made their search more challenging. Despite the distractions, Sakura and Ino remained determined, scanning the area for any familiar faces or suspicious activity.

As they moved closer to the heart of the beach party, the atmosphere grew more energetic, with people dancing, laughing, and enjoying themselves. Sakura's eyes darted from group to group, trying to catch a glimpse of their target amidst the sea of revelers. Ino, ever the expert at reading people, kept a watchful eye on anyone who seemed out of place or displayed suspicious behavior.

As the night grew wilder and the crowd more boisterous, a particularly bold man approached Ino, scooping her up in his arms and carrying her over to a blazing fire. His friends followed, hooting and cheering, reveling in the spectacle. Ino's eyes widened with surprise and annoyance as she struggled to free herself from his grasp.

"Put me down!" she demanded, her voice laced with a mixture of anger and frustration.

The man, fueled by liquid courage, laughed heartily, refusing to release his grip. He held a drink in his hand and attempted to coerce Ino into joining him.

"Come on, gorgeous! Have a drink with me!" he urged, his tone dripping with overconfidence.

Ino's annoyance turned into anger as she forcefully pushed against his chest, breaking free from his hold. "I said, put me down!" she repeated, her voice now tinged with a warning.

Sakura, witnessing the scene unfold, immediately stepped forward, her green eyes flashing with determination. "Back off, buddy," she warned, her voice firm and resolute.

The man's friends, sensing the shift in the atmosphere, cheered louder chanting, "Kiss, Kiss Kiss" as Sakura glared at them. Ino and Sakura stood together, radiating a powerful aura that should have warned them away but being too drunk to notice the man pulled Ino in close and tried to kiss her.

That was the last straw as she kneed him between the legs and dropped him to the ground with a blow to the back of the head. Sakura was ready to lend a hand when she felt a pair of hands grab her ass and squeeze with another drunk saying in her ear, "Come with my sweet cheeks I got something for you."

Sakura's eyes narrowed as she swiftly turned to face the man who dared to touch her. Without hesitation, she unleashed her impressive strength, delivering a powerful punch to the man's face, sending him sprawling to the ground. The crowd around them fell silent, momentarily shocked by Sakura's display of force as the man now on the ground was easy twice her size.

Ino, recognizing the need to control the situation, stepped into the light of the fire. Drawing upon her shinobi training, she focused her chakra and projected her commanding presence. "Back off, all of you!" she shouted, her voice carrying a distinct authority that demanded obedience.

The rowdy troublemakers, fueled by alcohol and arrogance, lunged at Sakura and Ino with reckless abandon. Sakura swiftly dodged a wild swing, her instincts honed by countless battles. She retaliated with a swift, precise punch to her assailant's jaw, sending him crashing to the ground.

Ino, with her keen observational skills, assessed the situation. She quickly analyzed the movement patterns of their opponents, identifying weaknesses and exploiting openings. She swiftly maneuvered, sidestepping an incoming kick and delivering a powerful roundhouse kick of her own, knocking her attacker off balance.

The troublemakers, undeterred by the initial setbacks, regrouped and intensified their assault. Sakura seamlessly weaved through the chaos, her movements a dance of precision and power. She skillfully blocked punches and countered with lightning-fast strikes, each blow landing with bone-jarring impact.

Ino, relying on her agility, utilized evasive maneuvers to avoid the barrage of attacks. With lightning-quick reflexes, she evaded a charging foe, leaving him off balance. In a swift motion, she grabbed his arm, using his momentum against him, and sent him crashing into his companions.

The fight raged on, punches and kicks exchanged with increasing ferocity. Sakura and Ino demonstrated their skill, drawing strength from their years of training. They fought with a combination of calculated precision and sheer force, their movements fluid and brutal.

As the battle reached its end, Sakura and Ino delivered the last decisive blows, incapacitating their remaining opponents. The once boisterous troublemakers lay defeated and humbled, groaning in pain and nursing their wounds.

With the immediate threat diffused, Sakura and Ino exchanged a brief nod, their eyes scanning the crowd for any more attackers. Seeing none, they discreetly moved away from the scene, blending back into the lively atmosphere of the beach parties. Their mission to find information about Jiraiya remained paramount, and they knew the importance of maintaining their covert identities as ninjas. Lucky for them they hadn't needed to use any jutsu on their attaches.

Rejoining the flow of the crowd, Sakura and Ino paused and had a laugh at what just happened before moving on in their search, their senses heightened and alert to any signs or hints that they were being followed. They navigated the bustling breach with caution.

"Ino, hold on, let me fix that," Sakura said, concern evident in her voice as she gently adjusted Ino's face, tending to the cut on her lip. With her healing abilities, Sakura ensured the injury wouldn't become too noticeable.

"All fixed," Sakura declared, removing her glowing hand from Ino's lips.

"Thanks. Some guy got lucky with a kick, back there," Ino explained, using it as an excuse for her injury.

Leaving the chaotic crowd behind, they surveyed the beach, spotting a large fire farther down with a mesmerizing display of over a hundred people dancing in a circle.

"We should check it out. It would be a shame if he's there, and we miss the chance," Ino suggested, using her chakra to float above the sand. The exhausting battle against the shifting grains had taken its toll, and she was more than ready to avoid the struggle with each step.

Sakura nodded in agreement, with a shared understanding, they made their way toward the distant fire, their senses on high alert, ready to uncover any clues or secrets that awaited them. The night held many mysteries, and they were prepared to navigate the shadows.

As they approached the roaring flames and pulsating music, the atmosphere shifted. The energy was electrifying, a mix of excitement and tension that set their nerves on edge. They discreetly observed the crowd, searching for any signs of their target amidst the sea of dancing bodies. It was then they notices the dance's feet never sank into the sand, this was a party of shinobi's.

Ino's eyes narrowed, her sharp gaze scanning the revelers, while Sakura blended seamlessly with the crowd, randomly dancing as she observed the crowd. Her keen senses picked up snippets of conversations, fragments of information that hinted at a deeper conspiracy lurking beneath the surface. The word Race and a Fix being in place. A plan to win at all costs and words that told of large bets placed at the casinos.

Ino leaned closer to Sakura, her voice barely audible over the music. "I have a feeling something big is happening at the race tomorrow. Let's stay alert and gather as much information as we can."

Sakura nodded, her focus unwavering as they weaved through the crowd, eavesdropping on conversations, and studying the body language of suspicious individuals. The pieces of the puzzle began to fall into place, leading them down a treacherous path of secrets and hidden agendas. Ino spotted many Genin from the first round of the chunin exams in the crowd. They were all drinking heavily as if wanting to forget their failures.

As the night unfolded, Sakura and Ino discovered a web of deception, as they danced with the shadows in the darkness, doing their best to conceal the truth of where they were from.

Their hearts pounded with adrenaline as they ventured further into the heart of the gathering, gradually unraveling the sinister alliances and covert operations that lay hidden beneath the surface. It became evident that the local crime lord had formed dangerous partnerships with disgraced shinobi, creating a formidable network. In this gathering, there were no ordinary civilians; everyone present seemed to be involved in illicit affairs. Fortunately, their decision to approach using chakra had allowed them to blend in unnoticed, avoiding the risk of being exposed or worse, confronted.

"You girls look like you need a drink.", said the bartender as they found the bar and decided to lean against it for a rest. Placing two beers in front of them he just smiled expecting them to take them without asking.

"If you like I can add a little boost,", he said pulling out a handful of pills of many colors and shapes. "I got your uppers, downers, your soldier piles, and chakra pills if you are running low. This one, this is my favorite.", holding out a pink pill with blue dots he did his best to drop them in the drinks.

"No No we are OK.", said Sakura pulling the beer away before he had a chance to add anything to it.

Ino had done the same and even took a sip as she was really thirsty after all this dancing.

"What is wrong with you two? Everyone is doing it. Don't you want to have fun before the big race?" said the part-time bartender and full-time drug pusher, blocking their path as they tried to leave.

Fed up with the situation, Sakura took hold of his shirt and pulled him down to her eye level. "Listen here, you jerk. That's Beradonna mixed with Rishin. If I'm lucky, I may wake up in the morning. As for your soldier pills, the brown dots tell me you're mixing in thyme as a filler. So leave us alone, or I'll expose your worthless merchandise to everyone."

"Okay, okay, I got it," the pusher stammered, quickly retreating and leaving them alone.

As the guy faded into the crowd, Ino examined her drink with suspicion. "Is this beer safe?" she asked, glancing over at Sakura. Sensing her friend's concern, Sakura leaned forward and sniffed the drink before cautiously touching her tongue to its surface.

"Yeah, it's fine, just cheap Takara beer," Sakura reassured her, taking a long drink from her own glass. The night was turning into a marathon, and they needed some liquid courage to keep going.

My dear reader, do we want this to be a slow-burn story or should I focus on the plot more. so far I have been having fun with world-building but with no feedback, I am not sure, if am I going too slow, too fast, or if you want me to just get to the end already ;-) I get the feeling I am going over the top with some of the scenes with a little too much detail. You tell me. Still trying to get the feeling from everyone if I should add a lemon or not.
