Big Sis,

I can't say much, just in case. That's why you won't get many letters from me. But I want you to know I'm happy. They're all idiots, but I'm happy.

I'm sure you remember everyone. We're all doing well. I was afraid the tree wouldn't last long, especially in this volatile climate, but it's managing. We picked up two new friends since you last saw us. It's nice to have another girl around, but I'm not sure how long she'll stay. The other one is just adorable. He's also smart but naive.

The blond idiot is not just like that when he's drunk. It's all the time. It can be annoying, but he's harmless. It's actually kind of nice sometimes to be pampered. I forgot what it was like to be taken care of.

The cutting board/knife sharpener spends his days working out or sleeping, and I've never known anyone who gets lost as easily as he does, but he's strong. Well, you already knew that. But he can be kind, too. He's an idiot who would stupidly sacrifice himself for others, so of course I'm going to have to watch him to make sure he doesn't get himself killed. It's a pain, but the rest of them are just as stupid.

Do you remember the singer and liar? It turns out he's an inventor, too. He made me a weapon. Well, he made it sound better than it actually worked. I can't believe I was surprised by that. I can usually spot his lies and tall tales a mile away. But the weapon did work eventually.

The one with the big appetite. He's the same. He's overly loud and more of an idiot than the rest, but it's nice to hear laughter so often, that really genuine, joyful laughter, so I guess I can overlook the idiocy sometimes.

It's scary sometimes and the weather can be a challenge, but I'm happy. For the first time in a long time, you don't have to worry about me. Be free. Be happy. I am.
