Chapter 95: The Grim Goblin Strikes!

"Everyone, run!" cried out a citizen. "He's back!"

Everyone screamed as a cloud of green mist spread throughout Bonesborough. Maniacal laughter was heard, which could belong to one villain.

"Tis I, the Grim Goblin!" he cackled while throwing his flaming pumpkins at one store, causing it to explode. "The Boiling Isles' days are numbered!"

He flew over to a coven precinct. Inside the coven scouts were quite busy with paperwork until the Grim Goblin burst through the door.

"It's him!"

"The Grim Goblin!"

"The one that ruined the Coven Day Parade and St. Epiderm!"

"Your days are numbered, Emperor's goons!" he declared while his gargoyle flew around avoiding spells. He threw more pumpkin bombs all over the precinct, creating explosions. "YAHAHAHAHA!"

"Get out of the way!" one guard declared while protecting his fellow scouts.

BOOM!

The coven precinct exploded, crumbling the building while the Grim Goblin escaped. His attack was caught and recorded by several civilians.

"From dusk til dawn, through the tides that bind! Where is your Titan now, thy whine?!" the Grim Goblin laughed as he flew off.

Members of the Healing Coven showed up to look for survivors. One helped up a surviving scout, who coughed while an injured Larry was also rescued..

"Are you alright?" asked a Healer.

"I'll survive…" Larry groaned as he looked up. "That Grim Goblin's become a true threat…"

"Yeah," spoke a coven scout. "Who can possibly stop that madman?"

At the Emperor's Castle, Emily was trying to sleep in her cot. But she was unable to because of all the commotion she was hearing from the other scouts.

"Hey, wake up!" Serventine said to Emily, who just opened her eyes. "Abel wants to see everyone!"

Once Emily was dressed, she along with her fellow scouts went into a large meeting hall where they saw Abel along with the Coven Heads.

"The Grim Goblin has just launched another attack, this time targeting a coven precinct," Abel announced. "Because of this, he has now been made public enemy number one!"

Adrian projected an image of the Grim Goblin's face above them as Abel continued. "Right now, our number one top priority is to take down this terrorist once and for all! He has stirred chaos at the Coven Day Parade in Bonesborough, was spotted in Metropelvis terrorizing teenagers, and attacked St. Epiderm during the recruitment drive, and now he's destroying precincts across the Isles. The Emperor wants him taken care of now! And whoever does so will be generously rewarded."

The scouts talked amongst themselves. While some shared their concerns over the terrorist, most were interested in the reward of taking down the Grim Goblin. Emily, however, was just frightened by the image of the Grim Goblin.

Once the scouts were dismissed, Emily tried to head out. However, she felt a hand grabbing her shoulder, pulling her away.

"Emily, just the girl I need to see," Adrian Graye told her. "This is a golden opportunity for us, you know? That Grim Goblin is the key to the Emperor's generosity!"

Emily looked hesitant. "I… Adrian, I'm not ready to face him again."

"Hang on, just hear me out," Adrian said. "This Goblin case is a perfect chance to push B.I.G.! Think of this, if we use B.I.G. as the team to take down the Grim Goblin, then eventually the Golden Guard will just be obsolete! You don't have to do a thing about the Grim Goblin, I earn favors from the Emperor, it's a win-win for us!"

Emily looked shocked. "So… that means I won't be the Golden Guard anymore?"

"Of course, after all you are replaceable," Adrian said which made Emily give him a look. "Oh, don't look at me like that. We both know that what the Golden Guard represented was always more important than whoever was wearing the mask. Just do your part, play your role, and things will work out for both of us…"

At the Owl House, Star was wearing a cloak while waiting for Raine with Amity and Camila present.

"Come on, what's taking them so long?" Star asked while holding a bag of supplies.

"Don't worry, I'm sure Raine's prepping up," Amity assured her.

"They should have been ready by now!" Star said before calming down. "Sorry, it's just… since Raine agreed to let me tag along with them, I am just so excited to go out to help fight against Belos, especially considering that before now I have been a rebel without a cause."

"Hey, have you guys seen mom?" Luz asked after coming downstairs with King. "She wasn't in her room."

"There's no way she's still at the orphanage, since she came home last night…" King said as they heard someone coming from the basement.

"Alright, I'm ready," Raine said as they came up… with Eda following them.

"I'm here!" Eda declared, her hair messier than usual as she readjusted her dress. "Just um… helping Raine pack up!" she said while she and Raine blushed at each other.

"R-Right! Pack up!" Raine said nervously while they adjusted their cloak.

An awkward pause followed before Acorn spoke up. "Oh… that's what the noises were! They were fu-"

"Okay, so um… I guess this is it!" Amity cut in while trying not to think about it.

"Yeah," Luz nodded while walking over to Raine. "Hey, Raine, um… now that you are leaving I regret that I didn't get to spend much time with you during your stay here. I'm sorry for that…"

"Hey, it's alright, Luz," Raine reassured her. "I understand that you have a lot going on in your life. Honestly, I wish you didn't have to worry about Belos and the Day of Unity and you could just live your life as a kid. Because you shouldn't have all of this on your plate, and it's unfair that it is."

Luz just shrugged. "That's how it is."

"Well it shouldn't." Raine frowned while patting Luz's shoulder. "It shouldn't be this way and I promise you that I'll do everything I can to make sure you're safe from Belos… while you can just keep on rocking."

Luz gave them a nod and a smile. "Thanks, Rainestorm."

"We'll be missing you two," Amity said while turning to Star. "Good luck out there in the Isles, and try not to draw too much attention to yourself."

"Hey, I was hiding around the Human Realm for quite some time before you met me. I'm good at keeping myself incognito," Star said. "Besides, I've already told you guys about the Exorcists, and I don't really like staying in the house all day, so I would much rather get out there and start doing something about this Belos guy. But I'll keep in touch."

"And I plan on seeing my parents first, let them know that I'm alright," Raine mentioned. "Then we're going to check a few safehouses that hopefully haven't been raided by the Emperor's Coven, and once we have a new base, start rebuilding the rebellion. It won't be easy, but I already have one rebel and that's a start." They pointed to Star, who grinned while nodding. "I will send messages, but please everyone, stay safe." They felt King hugging them in the leg.

"We're gonna miss you around," King said while Raine knelt down, hugging the demon.

"Be a brave soldier for me, King." Raine patted his skullcap head.

Star hugged Amity and then Luz, and then Camila. "I'll miss you guys."

"We'll miss you too, Star," Amity replied.

"Yeah, make your mark out there!" Luz told her as she hugged Raine.

"We hope to see you two again," Camila said while shaking Raine's hand. "Good luck out there."

"Thank you," Raine assured while turning to Eda. The two stepped towards each other, holding hands while their foreheads touched. "Hopefully I will be able to see you soon, Eda."

"Try not to get stage fright, Rainestorm," Eda replied while they locked eyes and hugged, before Eda whispered into their ear. "Think of me whenever you feel nervous."

Raine chuckled before Eda kissed their cheek. They blushed as the two let go. "R-right, I-I-We'll better get going. Come on, Star." They were about to head out, but Hooty wrapped them up in a hug.

"I didn't get a hug!" Hooty declared, causing everyone to chuckle.

And so, Raine and Star headed out the back door and walked towards the forest. The two looked back at the Owl House, giving a wave while everyone waved them back.

Once they vanished from view, Luz turned to Eda and gave a teasing smirk. "So… does that mean you and Raine are back together?"

Eda blushed while turning away, though Amity did notice a glowing aura around Eda…

At Eve's home, she contacted Teri on her crystal ball.

"It's good to hear that at least you're alright, Teri," Eve told him.

"Thanks," Teri responded with a sigh. "But it sucks, you know? Dad pulled me out of school all because of that damn Grim Goblin."

"Yeah, that Grim Goblin has ruined everything!" Eda complained. "Just recently, he attacked at that coven precinct-" She then saw the crystal ball had another call incoming. "Sorry, Teri, looks like I got another call."

"I'll catch up with you later, bye," Teri responded as he logged out while Eve answered the other call.

Appearing in the crystal ball was a shadowy figure with a distorted voice. "Hello, Eve…"

Eve looked at the figure in confusion. "Who… who are you?"

"You can call me… Dr. Rebus," they replied. "As I said in my earlier message, welcome back."

Eve realized what they meant and her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "That was you?"

"I have been watching you and your little friends for a long time," they said. "But don't fret about your friends going their separate ways… since it has all happened before and there is still time to stop history from repeating itself."

Eve took a guess. "The original Shadowy Secret Expozers, I assume?"

"Of course," Dr. Rebus confirmed. "Our friend, the Grim Goblin, is the result of sins past. But I must warn you to be careful, Slipknot. There are those who won't like it when you're digging into the past…"

Dr. Rebus continued, "Follow through in figuring out who the Grim Goblin is, since not only would it bring your friends back together, but it would also be the start of something much bigger."

"Do you know who the Goblin is?" Eve asked them.

"If I told you, then it wouldn't be a mystery, would it?" they asked. "Good luck, and here's some advice… be careful who you trust. Also, here's a little clue to help you out."

An image of a sword popped up, followed by a picture of a fish. "Sword… fish…"

"You, guys!" spoke up Smashermouth. "You wouldn't believe what I got!"

The Blood Waters were in one of their usual hangouts in Metropelvis when saw the swordfish biped hand a letter to Know Doubt, who opened it. "Well whadda ya know? It's an invite to a mystery-solving competition that will determine who the greatest mystery solving team in the Isles is!"

"Wow! Talk about a lucky break!" Potshot replied.

"You said it, Potsy!" June replied with a chuckle.

"We got this in the bag," Aqua said with her arms crossed confidently. "With our biggest rival out of the way, there's no way we'll get beaten."

"Says here that there's going to be fabulous prizes for the winner in addition to being declared the greatest mystery solvers in the Boiling Isles!" Know Doubt mentioned. "Yep, this is definitely going to be swell!"

At Hexside in the Bard class, Luz was shown painting on a canvas.

"Wow, that's an excellent masterpiece of yours, Luz… what do you call it?" Mrs. Mantis asked her.

"'My Endless Stress' would be its title," Luz replied, showing a painting of an abstract blue surface with black skulls around. "I think it captures all of my previous stress from the past two weeks."

"That's nice," Ms. Mantis replied. "By the way, some of your artwork is being put up in display as a prominent feature at the Bard Coven."

"At the Bard Coven?" Luz asked, curious. "Really?"

"Yes, student artwork tends to be picked and displayed there. If you're interested, you can check it out, along with seeing other fine works of other students from other schools."

"That is something I should check out, thank you, Ms. M!" Luz thanked the teacher as she turned to Skara. "Skara, notify our friends, cause I'm about to be the new Basquiat!"

"Alright!" Skara replied while pulling up her scroll. "Wait… who's Basquait?"

At the HAS club meeting, everyone was taking their seats, Gus sitting with Eve.

"Hey Eve, how are you doing?" Gus asked her.

Eve sighed. "Well, my friends are still doing their own things while another of my friends is busy being put under house arrest by his dad. But I'm still trying to keep myself busy with this club, along with cheer practice and trying to figure out what the Grim Goblin's deal is." She crossed her arms while giving a mad look. "This is all his fault…" She then turned to Gus. "How are you doing?"

"Well, I have been doing Flyer Derby now, so that's at least something…" Gus replied.

"Flyer Derby? Congrats!" Eve said.

"Hey, has anyone seen Matt around?" Elliot asked while looking around.

"Yeah, I didn't see him coming in," Simon responded.

"He's not answering his scroll," Bo said worriedly.

"Come on, we should look for him," Gus suggested.

He and Bo volunteered to look around for Matt in the hallways, calling out for him.

"Matt!/Where are you?" Gus and Bo called out, looking around until they spotted Matt in one of the school hallways, sitting against the wall holding up a poster. "Matt?"

"Huh, oh… hey guys," Matt responded sadly as the two walked up to him.

"Where have you been, man? Everyone's waiting…" Gus noticed the wanted poster in his hands, showing an image of Steve. "Oh… are you okay, man?"

"Yeah, I'm just… trying to keep it together," Matt responded with a sigh. "I'm really worried for my older brother, but I don't want the others to see their president like this."

Bo and Gus turned to each other, sharing a nod before they sat with Matt. Bo placed her hand over his, grasping it. "Do you want us to sit with you?"

"That… that'd be nice," Matt responded. "Thanks, it means so much to me."

"Do you want to talk about anything?" Gus asked him.

Matt sighed. "It's just… things have been crazy ever since Steve became a wild witch," he explained. "My family's nuts right now. Dad's been making angry rants, while my mom has been helping console Carol." He sighed again. "I'm just… this happened after he dropped me off home on my birthday. I knew that he wanted out of there, but…"

"Hey, hey it's okay, Matt." Bo hugged him, letting him rest his head on her shoulder. "We're sorry this happened…"

"And we are here for you if you need us," Gus told him sincerely.

"Thanks guys," Matt replied while wiping his eyes.

"Do you want to cancel the meeting and go talk to Ms. Traveler?" Gus asked him.

"No, I just… needed a moment," Matt assured them.

Soon, Matt was ready as they headed back into the club room. Gus walked behind Bo and Matt, who were holding hands. It was then Gus got an update on his scroll and he saw a message from Skara.

'Luz's artwork is being displayed at the Bard Coven!' #TheNewBaskwait

The Bard Coven looked like a combination between a music hall and art museum. Inside were living instruments playing music while several St. Epiderm students were doing a charity drive for repairs of their school, Minerva playing her cello.

"Man, doesn't this take you back, Meg?" asked a blue skinned young man with dark mullet hair, nine eyes for his overly tall head-shape, and a soul patch under his lip. He wore a red tunic with black sleeves, black pants and blue boots while playing his guitar.

"You mean back when we were dating, Grip?" asked Meg, a red skinned demon girl with black horns, teal and black short hair, and blue eyes. She was wearing a black beret and spider-web patterned black dress with blue leggings and flat black shoes. "You know I'm not the dating type anymore…"

"Hey, I know, but our time as teenagers still wasn't that bad, right?" Grip responded. "You know, I never got to ask you before, but have you heard from Judd or Le'Belle recently?"

Meg sighed. "No, I cut myself off from Judd before his arrest. As for Le'Belle… I'm not sure if she wants to talk to me, not after what I did."

"I'm sure she'll come around," Grip said as he noticed some new faces showing up. "Hey, the girl of the hour is here."

Meg turned, spotting that Luz had shown up along with Amity, Gus, Willow, Cat, Dog, and some of their friends.

"Gonna help my brother with setting up his equipment, be right back!" Cat said as she went to help her brother.

"So this is the Bard Coven Hall," Luz commented while looking around, spotting her artwork on display. "Huh, looks like they used the good ones."

Amity, while wrapping her arms around Luz's, looked at her art. "Wow, these are amazing, Luz," she commented, seeing Luz's self-portraits, King's skull as an abstract, and a sketch of Eda in her harpy form holding King in her arms.

"Yeah, these are some of your best work," Gus responded, seeing a portrait of Camila.

"I agree," spoke Meg as she walked up to them. "Hi, Megan Brimstone, fellow artist of the Bard Coven. You must be Luz Clawthorne, love your work."

"Thanks," Luz nodded.

"Brimstone… you're that famous artist from Metropelvis, known for the spider-patterned baluster!" Gus pointed out.

"Looks like someone has done his homework," Megan replied with a smile. "I also have some of my artwork displayed over there." She pointed at her art displayed in another part of the coven.

"Never thought we'd get to meet a famous artist here, or that she would be a fan of Luz," Amity commented while looking at Meg's art with Luz, Gus and Willow.

"Yeah…" Gus responded as he looked at the gothic art on display, including one painting that resonated with him… a painting with moths fluttering around the helmet of a miner.

"Make that two famous artists," spoke Peter Bloomhog as he walked over. "Brimstone."

"Bloomhog," Megan responded.

Peter turned to Luz. "You must be Luz, I saw you before at the Coven Day Parade."

"Uh…" Luz trying to guess.

"St. Epiderm float, Danny Dilburn," he responded.

"Oh yeah, that weirdo," Luz said.

Amity realized something. "Wait, I've heard of you, you use Abominations for art, right?"

"Right," Peter responded. "I saw the potential in Abominations to make for perfect sculptures and other artwork, as my display over there shows." He pointed to some Abomination sculptures and paintings for all to see.

"Whoa, never knew you can use Abominations like that," Willow said..

"Yeah, surprised you're not in Bard," Luz noted.

"I wish to multi-track, but Danny is stubborn about that, being student council president and all," Peter said. "Me and Riley are considering putting up a vote about it, now that we're done with the whole Emperor's Coven recruitment drive."

Gus kept looking at the painting with the moths, which Meg noticed. "See anything you like? You've been staring at it for a while," she said to him.

"Oh, um sorry," Gus responded. "Just that… what does this painting mean?"

"Well, for me at least it is supposed to represent grief," Meg responded. "I think we all find different ways to express our grief in order to better process it, such as through music or dressing differently or in my case for me, through my art."

"Really?" Gus asked her. "So these paintings helped you process a lot of grief?"

Meg looked at the painting, focusing on the miner helmet. She sighed. "Yes," she admitted as she pulled another painting over. "Artwork has helped me through a lot of my own issues. Like this for example." She showed him a painting of a chained heart breaking free. "I used to have a lot of relationship troubles when I was in my teens. Had a lot of exes and a lot of regrets… but I ultimately learned to come to terms with it and love myself."

Gus nodded, giving a thoughtful look while looking at her painting.

"Grip! Meg!" spoke Napoli as he walked over with his keyboard. "It's so rad to see you guys here!"

"Napoli, hey, my old bandmate!" Grip waved to him. "How's being Bard Head doing for ya?"

"It's okay," Napoli replied with a shrug. "We've had a lot of meetings and they won't allow me to eat my pocket taters since it disrupts them."

"Same old Napoli," Meg commented with a smile while walking over to her old friend. "How's Mosquita doing?"

"Pretty good, she's quite proud that I'm Head of Bard now," Napoli replied proudly.

Luz and Amity looked at Napoli, Luz leaning over to whisper to Amity. "Man, Raine's time as a Head sure was short lived."

"Yeah," Amity replied.

"Clawthorne," Peter said as he handed her a ticket. "If you are interested, I have an arthouse event. You can bring a guest like your other half."

"Oh. Yeah, that'd be cool!" Luz replied while turning to Amity. "What do you say, my other half? Make a date out of it?"

"Of course, my good half," Amity replied as the two giggled.

Later on at the Park home, Willow prepared for her next date with Skara. Before she headed out, she walked over to Gus's room.

"Gus, I'm about to head over to Skara's," Willow called out as he walked up to his door…

"Yeah, today's HAS meeting went great!" he shouted from inside.

Willow paused, overhearing Gus talking to someone else. "Gus? Are you okay?" she asked while opening the door, seeing him on his bed with his Palisman.

"Oh, uh yeah, I'm fine!" Gus replied nervously.

"Who were you talking to?" she asked him.

"Emmiline, of course." Gus pointed to his chameleon Palisman.

"Oh, well that does make sense," Willow responded with a sigh. "Well, I'll see you later tonight!" she said as she left.

"Good luck on your date!" Gus waved to her as she closed the door. He gave a sigh when he heard her leave, then created a spell circle to bring his illusion back. "Okay, she's gone," he said to the illusion… of Vaggie.

Elsewhere in the Isles was a warehouse with a banner that read 'Bloomberg's Abominable Art Showcase'. Besides having art displayed by Peter Bloomberg, the showcase included food served by Abominations with cheese hats, an underground band playing in a soft, quiet vibe, and various performance models in weird clothing, including one wearing a coven scout mask in a black full bodysuit.

Luz and Amity, in their casual wear, were looking at the bizarre art. One was a pile of meat displayed with a rat eating it. Another was just an eyeball. One was an image of a wand and another was a foreground color of a can label of 'Campspells Soup.'

"What do you think?" Luz asked her.

"Minimalistic, yet weirdly meaningful," Amity replied while seeing an Abomination sculpture of a hand as the two pass under a spotlight covering them in colors.

"Scorch?" asked one server who was in an apron and wearing a spiky outfit as he held up a plate of flaming cheese slices.

"Thanks," Luz said as she and Amity grabbed some and put them in their mouths as they felt the spices kick in. "Mmm! Spicy!"

"Yeah!" Amity replied. "Just the way we like them!"

"Luz! Amity!"

The girls turned to see Gavin and Angmar coming over to them.

"Gavin, Angmar, you guys showed up too?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, we've met Peter Bloomhog before and we became part of his art!" Gavin shouted, pointing at the large pictures of the witches at the beach with Gavin and Angmar in it. Nearby were also Boscha and Ukla, who were accompanied by Kyle, Sarah, Minerva, and Andrew.

"Gotta admit, I may not understand it, but Gavin and Angmar do look good in black in white," Ukla said while glancing at Kyle, who was avoiding her gaze. "You alright?"

"Oh, yeah, I-I-I'm fine!" Kyle replied nervously while flustered.

"So you're top of Potions at St. Epiderm?" Boscha asked Sarah, getting to know a fellow potionist.

"Yeah, got in from my genius pops," Sarah responded.

"Atos… say, your dad wouldn't happen to have worked with… Nicole Hieron, right?" Boscha asked her.

"He did," she responded. "In fact, I remember her taking her daughter to work at his compound. You probably don't remember me…"

Boscha's eyes widened and she gasped. "No way… I-I completely forgot about you as a playdate."

"I didn't expect you to remember," Sarah admitted. "Also, I want to give you my condolences about your family…"

"Thanks," Boscha responded, rubbing her own arm. "My cousins and my friends have been a big help to me through it all."

"Boscha!" Luz and Amity walked over to her.

"Luz, Amity!" Boscha replied, smiling. "Surprised to see you two here."

"We got invited and we decided to come here as a date," Luz explained.

"Well, I am glad to see you two here!" Boscha replied as she introduced the St. Epiderm kids. "Meet Sarah, Minerva, Andrew, and Kyle. Some St. Epiderm kids that I met last weekend."

"Nice to meet you two, Donna has mentioned you both before," Sarah mentioned.

"Yeah, first time meeting you, but I know I've seen those guys at the parade," Luz said, pointing at the other three.

"Well, it is my first time meeting other St. Epiderm kids, so it is nice to meet you all," Amity said.

"Same for you," Minerva said with a polite nod.

"Yeah! And how do you guys like the gallery?" Andrew asked them. "It's all part of a campaign to raise snails for repairs at St. Epiderm!"

"Yeah, we heard about it," Luz replied. "Honestly, this is not that different from the art I've seen back in the Human Realm, just more macabre."

"So Peter Bloomhog is top of Abominations and an artist?" Amity asked.

"Yeah, Peter believes that anything can be an art form, no matter how random and nonsensical it is," Minerva explained while spotting Peter. "And there he is now… with Danny."

The two turned to see Peter talking with Danny, who was with Riley, Lindsay, and Tabrella.

"I must say, Peter, this looks to be a huge success," Danny told his fellow council member.

"It is nothing, Daniel," Peter responded. "I am just happy to share my art. I was already planning this showcase, but now it can be for a good cause."

"And that much so-" Danny then turned to spot Luz and Amity there. "Oh… no…"

"What's up, Dilburn?" Luz waved to him with a smirk.

"Clawthorne… and Goodfellow," Danny said with a grimace.

"Oh, you two have made it!" Peter shouted as he stepped up to Luz and Amity. "Tell me, how do you like the showcase?"

"It's very interesting," Amity replied.

"Yeah, and you should see the art back in the Human Realm," Luz commented. "I think you'll especially relate to the works of Andy Warhol."

"Oh? Is he good?" he asked her.

"The best!" Luz replied, while seeing Danny's stare. "Look Dilburn, I'm just here with my girlfriend on a date, so there's no need for any trouble, got it?"

"...Fine," Danny responded. "Try not to stir up any trouble, especially since we're expecting the Abomination Head to show up."

Luz and Amity's eyes widened. "You mean…?!" They turned to see some scouts coming in, accompanying… Alador Blight.

"Wonderful! With Head Witch Blight here, he could give a generous donation!" Danny declared.

Luz noticed Amity staring at her father and she tapped her shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah," Amity said with a nod. "Just… surprised to see him here."

"Do you wish to talk to him?" Luz asked her.

Amity gripped Luz's hand and took a deep breath. "Yes," she said while turning to Luz. "I'll be back."

"I'll be here waiting," Luz assured her with a smile, causing Amity to smile back to her before heading toward Alador.

"Everything alright?" Boscha asked.

"Yeah, Amity just… needed to talk to her dad," Luz replied.

Alador was looking at the Abomi-wheel up on display when he heard Amity speak. "Dad." she said, causing him to turn to Amity in surprise.

"Amity," Alador said, getting over his surprise. "I'm… so glad that you're here. Safe and sound!"

"Thanks, and… I'm glad to see you too," Amity responded.

"How have you been?" he asks her.

"Doing good, shaken but I've made a good recovery," Amity responded. She wanted to say so much more to him, so she took a deep breath. "Listen, about-"

"Alador!" spoke Gibson as he walked in between him and Amity. "So glad that you could make it!"

"Gibson," Alador responded. "I was just talking to Amity."

Gibson turned to Amity. "Ah yes, your youngest daughter. I will say that it is such a Titan's blessing that you are safe."

Amity nodded. "Um, thank you, Mr…?"

"Gibson Oscorne, CEO of S.C.O.R.N.," he said, handing Amity a card. "I used to work with your father once, before Odalia unfairly fired me and half of his research team. But now since Odalia's busy with her own stuff, I have taken the opportunity to catch up with my good old buddy Al, even working with him again now that he's Head Witch."

"Oh… nice to meet you, sir," Amity replied, looking at his card. She looked up and saw Gibson pulling Alador away "W-Wait a minute, I was-"

"I just want to have a word with Alador, just boring business that kids wouldn't understand and all," Gibson assured Amity while he pulled Alador somewhere else.

"But…" Amity tried to reach out, but Gibson had already pulled him far from her. She didn't know why, but she had a weird feeling about this man.

Hey, how'd it go?" Luz asked when Amity came back to her.

"Well, we talked a bit before Gibson Oscorne came and stole my dad away," Amity replied while looking down. "Gibson gave me this weird feeling…"

"Oscorne… oh I've heard of him," Andrew spoke up. "His son goes to our school and Gibson is part of the PCA of St. Epiderm."

"SCORN is one of the top businesses the Emperor's Coven makes deals with," Sarah mentioned, joining the conversation. "In fact, I hear that Gibson and Teri's family came literally from Hell."

This surprised Luz, Amity, Boscha and Ukla. "Hell? They're literally from Hell?" Luz asked.

"Their ancestors were said to be Hellborn demons that migrated to the Titan before the rule of Belos," Sarah explained. "Now Teri, the latest of the Oscornes, goes to our school and is one of our best poets in Bard."

"That explains his more devilish appearance," Boscha commented.

"Yeah," Luz agreed, making a note to ask Abigail if she had ever encountered Hellborns and if she knew that Hell exists…

Meanwhile, Danny felt a stomach pain again, which Riley noticed. "You alright?" Riley asked him.

"Yeah… just…" Danny held on to his stomach, while Riley helped him out of the gallery…

Luz and Amity continued with their date, with Luz staring at a certain display. "No way…"

Amity looked and saw the display… Corndog on a Plate.

"Wow," Amity commented. "Talk about a complete callback."

Luz gaped. "How is this… art?"

"The corndog represents how by serving him we are meant to please the Titan's stomach," spoke one onlooker.

"Uh no, clearly the corndog is about obedience while the plate represents the system!" spoke another.

"You must be at a certain level of genius to understand Bloomhog's work!" said another fan as they argued about the meaning behind the corndog on a plate.

"People really look too into art…" Amity noted.

"At least so far, this date's going great," Luz replied, too soon…

CRASH!

Everyone turned to see, making his entrance with maniacal laughter, the Grim Goblin. "The gallery of frauds! Of high-prestige class! I, the Grim Goblin, will blow your ass!" he declared while flying around as everyone screamed and shouted.

"Really?!" Luz shouted while she and Amity took cover. "We can't have a date without some shit happening!"

"The gods of the universe must be punishing us for something!" Amity cursed while seeing a pumpkin bomb thrown. "Look out!"

Luz and Amity ducked, but the pumpkin bomb didn't hit them nor blew up thanks to one potion crashing into it, trapping it into a gelatin-like substance mid-explosion. They turned to find Boscha being the one to throw the potion after being handed some from Sarah.

"You two alright?" Boscha asked them.

"Yeah, thanks for the save!" Luz responded while changing into her cambion form.

"Is that the Grim Goblin?" Amity asked, having heard about this villain.

"Yeah," Luz said before flying up to him. "Hey ugly! Don't you know you're in violation of copyright infringement from a comic book company? Sony isn't gonna like this!" she shouted while flashing light magic at him.

"Your tricks won't fool me, little bat!" he declared while throwing a punch at Luz, who blocked it with her scaled arms, launching her back. He then brought out his daggers in an attempt to throw them at her.

"Oh no you don't!" Amity shouted as she targeted his gargoyle with some abomi-goo, swinging him around until he was knocked off and landed on a display.

The Grim Goblin got back up, glaring at Amity. "That hurt, you know!"

"I'm not gonna let you hurt my girlfriend!" Amity declared.

The Grim Goblin grinned. "Then I guess you'll be sliced up!" he shouted as he jumped over towards Amity with his knives, but was then punched to the side by a large Abomi-hand that came from Alador's cylinder on his back.

"Stay away from my daughter!" Alador declared. "As Head Witch, you are under arrest for terrorism!"

"Oh how quaint, you must be the new Head!" The Grim Goblin said while covered in Abomi-goo. He boiled it up until it hardened, allowing him to break free of it. "I'd watch my head if I was you!"

"What?" Alador asked, not realizing the gargoyle flying toward his back with blades popping out.

"Look out!" Gavin shouted as he summoned his Abomination to push Alador aside before the gargoyle could hit him. Minerva stepped up to shoot lightning from her cello at the Goblin, who dodged the strike, as if on instinct. He then found vines grabbing him, summoned by Angmar while Ukla used her Construction magic to rise up spikes towards him. The Grim Goblin simply punched through those spikes, shattering them.

Elsewhere, Peter, Lindsay, and Tabrella were hiding out while everyone else ran.

"This is an outrage! That Goblin jerk is ruining the gallery!" Tabrella shouted.

"Don't worry, I'm sure the Golden Guard or LOWTH will handle him!" Lindsay said while turning to Peter. "But he is ruining your artwork, Peter. I'm sorry that happened."

"No, no," Peter said while observing the battle. "This… this might be art… I need my camera!"

The Grim Goblin grabbed his gargoyle as he hovered around, kicking the scouts trying to grab him. He flipped over, but had to dodge the ice shards shot at him by Luz.

"You better surrender or else you get turned into swizz!" Luz declared.

The Grim Goblin then felt the Abomi-hand grabbing him, courtesy of Alador. "You will not escape!"

"I will if you don't wish to be blown up!" the Grim Goblin declared, shocking everyone as he summoned pumpkin bombs from the ceiling and they began to fall down.

"Disarm them!" Luz shouted while flying over to grab the banner, using it to catch some of the bombs and stop them from hitting the ground. Boscha and Sarah threw potions to trap the bombs in gelatin. Amity, Gavin, and Alador work together to use their Abomination magic to contain some of the dropped bombs in a large Abomi-ball.

Gavin quickly used his Abomination magic to form a portal for all the bombs to be dumped into. He moved his hands as the abomination portal swirled through the ground.

"Where did you send them?" Luz asks him, only to hear explosions overhead.

"The sky," Gavin said, pointing up.

Amity looked around and saw no sight of the Grim Goblin. "He's gone."

"Just like before at St. Epiderm," Minerva said as she noticed Danny and Riley showing up.

"What was all of that commotion?!" Danny demanded, seeing Luz in her cambion form. "You!"

"Hey, don't pin this at me!" Luz shouted.

"I can vouch for her," Alador said. "The Grim Goblin attacked the gallery, but now he's gone."

"Grim Goblin?" Danny said, gritting his teeth. "Dang it… I am sorry about this, Head Witch…"

"It's no problem, just be glad that no one got hurt," Alador responded, while spotting Gibson coming over. "Gibson, are you alright?"

"Yeah, just… was out for a bit and when I saw the guests evacuating, I realized it must've been that Grim Goblin maniac," Gibson responded while Amity looked at him in confusion.

'Strange… Gibson wasn't with Alador by the time the Grim Goblin attacked,' Amity thought, narrowing her eyes at Gibson when he patted Alador on the back. "Hey, dad-"

Suddenly flooding into the building were members of the Emperor's Coven. "We're here for backup! Where's the Grim Goblin?!" spoke one coven scout as they surrounded Alador and Gibson.

"Better late than never…" Boscha commented sarcastically while Sarah looked at the pumpkins she had still trapped in gelatin.

Amity tried to go to Alador, but was prevented by the scout. "Sorry, no autographs, Head Witch Blight must head to the Emperor's Coven immediately for his recovery!"

"What? But I-" Before she could finish her sentence, Alador had been escorted out by the scouts.

Peter, meanwhile, came out of hiding with Lindsay and Tabrella, looking around at the damage caused to his gallery. "My work… ruined! But wait, the battle was here and I didn't have my camera!" He turned to Tabrella. "Quick! Grab some tweezers and pull a memory photo out of my ear!"

"What?! I shall not, Bloomhog!" Tabrella declared.

Meanwhile, at the Emperor's Castle, Adrian was filming a commercial for BIG. Cross was there in his Golden Guard outfit reading his script.

"Um… yes, my liege! No, that's not it," Cross muttered. He turned to Scarmaron, who was unmasked and wearing his Brown Hamster Scout uniform. "How's your script, Scarmaron?"

"Honestly, the Hamster Scout doesn't make the slightest sense," Scarmaron replied. "I am also confused why Adrian wants us to do this commercial when we haven't done any heroics lately."

"Oh don't doubt our good Head Witch, hamster boy," spoke Alburno in his Red Vulture Scout uniform as he did his stretches. "After all, messaging is just as important."

"Yeah, try not to screw up or else Adrian will chew us all out!" Venoma said in her Pink Viper Scout uniform. Behind her are the rest of the cast getting ready for the commercial. This included Thunder as the Tiger Scout, Joana as the Bear Scout, Skrap as the Shark Scout, and Le'Belle as the Cricket Scout. All doing exercises and reciting their lines.

"How is this going to help me become captain again?" Le'Belle asked while Adrian showed up.

"Like I said before, Ms. Case, do this commercial shoot and you'll soon be promoted," he told her. "Alright, places everyone! We'll begin to shoot the first commercial in five minutes! We've already got the sweet merch running, along with some promotion deals, so get ready!"

Cross looked around and noticed Emily, still dressed as a coven scout and still having some bandages on her face. He walked up to her. "Hey, are you alright?" he asked her.

"I'm fine," Emily responded sternly.

"Well… have you heard about the latest Grim Goblin attack this week?" Cross asked her, but Emily just shifted her eyes away.

"I don't want to talk about that asshole," Emily said.

"Okay, do you want to… talk about Graye instead?" Cross asked in a whisper while Adrian was distracted by putting the Hamster Helmet onto Scarmeron.

"I don't want to talk about him either," she responded, her fists tightening.

"Well, is there anything you want to talk about?" he asked her.

Emily thought about it before turning to Cross. "One of the St. Epiderm students… what was her name… pink hair with flowers that spotted you…?"

"Lindsay Shystream?" he asked her.

Emily gave him a nod. "What do you think of her?"

"Oh, um…" Cross rubbed the back of his head. "Well… she's a nice girl, top of her class. Sometimes she makes me nervous…"

"Nervous?" Emily asked him, raising her eyebrow. "How so?"

"She's um… pretty," Cross answered.

Emily nodded. "I've definitely noticed…" she admitted before she looked at the Golden Guard mask Cross was holding. She sighed. "It's… weird to wear the mask."

"Yeah?" Cross replied.

"Look, I'm no stranger at pretending to be someone else, but being the Golden Guard is very… different from being the Queen of Glandus," Emily admitted. "Back then, people feared me when I was Queen and they thought I wasn't just a 'lowly illusionist'. But as the Golden Guard… people actually admire me. Lindsay admires me. I was seen as a hero…" She looked down. "But in reality… I know that I'm anything but. However, it is still… comforting to hide behind a mask and become someone else. Just like I used to do."

Cross looked at Emily, thinking. "So you enjoyed pretending to be the Golden Guard and you enjoyed pretending to not be an illusionist at Glandus… but do you enjoy being yourself? Do you like being who you are behind the mask and the illusions?"

Emily was unable to answer. She was quiet for a moment before speaking. "Sometimes… even I'm not sure what is real and what's the illusion… not anymore."

"A St. Epiderm charity art gallery hosted by Peter Bloomhog was interrupted by another Grim Goblin attack. If not for the efforts of Head Witch Blight leading the charge of the students defending the place-"

Eve was watching from her crystal ball while writing down on her notepad. She tore out a page and then taped it on her conspiracy wall while using the red yawn to connect many of the Grim Goblin's hits.

"Second time he's hit somewhere relating to St. Epiderm," Eve commented while taking notes. "He attacked my team which led to them splitting up, and then at Bonesborough… he kept making marks at coven precincts… just what is his motive?"

"Eve! You got a guest coming up!"

"Tell them to knock!" Eve shouted to her mom while still looking at her board. "Titan, I wish I had some suspects…" She then focused on the clue Dr. Rebus sent. She knew what it was, but she wasn't sure what it meant…

She then heard a knock on the door and she walked over to open it. She was surprised to see who it was. "Gus?"

"Hey, Eve," Gus responded nervously. "Um, what's up?"

"Well, I am in the middle of trying to figure out a mystery but… you look like you need something," Eve told him.

"Yeah, I'm in need of some help," Gus confirmed. "Like um… fashion advice…"

After returning home, Amity was looking into Luz's comics while Luz came back talking with her moms.

"What are you looking for, Ams?" Luz asked her.

"One of your comics in this longbox," Amity responded while looking through the longbox. "Something about this Grim Goblin seems familiar, and I think I know what…"

"Well, I did notice that he looks similar to-"

"Bingo!" Amity pulled out the comic she was looking for, which was Issue #38 of The Amazing Spider-Man. "The Green Goblin, Spider-Man's greatest enemy," she said. "And I believe that Gibson Oscorne may be the Grim Goblin! I mean, look at this-" She turned to the page when the Green Goblin unmasked himself to a tied up Peter Parker, revealing himself as Norman Osborn. "The Green Goblin turned out to be businessman Norman Osborn! Osborn, Oscorne, their names are too similar, it all adds up!"

"Huh, well… it is weird how similar they are," Luz replied while looking at the comic. "But that's hardly proof that Gibson Oscorne is the Grim Goblin."

"Yeah, but when the Grim Goblin attacked, Gibson wasn't around," Amity pointed out. "And once the Goblin vanished, Gibson returned and pulled Alador away…" She looked concerned, which Luz noticed.

"Are you worried about Alador?" Luz asked her.

Amity nodded. "Since Odalia mentioned that Arthur and Destiny are now involved in his life again, hurting him, what if this Gibson Oscorne guy is doing the same? He used to work with my dad but he got fired, I don't know!"

"Hey, look," Luz said to Amity, who looked at her. "I get it. Maybe Gibson is the Goblin, maybe he isn't. Either way, we should probably look into it. Because whether he's Gibson or not, that Goblin bastard needs to go down!"

Amity gave her a nod. "You're right. And we should find some leads, I'm going to start researching about Gibson some more, I still have this… feeling about him."

"You think of talking to Dalia?" Luz suggested. "She may know more about him."

Amity looked hesitant, but if she was determined that Gibson truly was the Grim Goblin, then it might be her only lead…

The next day, before going to school, Luz and Amity stood in front of Blight Manor. Amity looked anxious while Luz held her hand.

"You okay?" Luz asked her.

"I'm just… anxious," Amity responded. "This is… the first time I've set foot here since before everything with the petrification ceremony…" She closed her eyes before opening them and looking at Luz. "But, this is an emergency visit, and you're here with me."

Amity rang the doorbell. Opening it was Odalia, who was surprised to see them. "Amity? Luz?"

"Hey, Dalia," Luz greeted her.

"Hey, um… Dalia," Amity responded awkwardly. "We were just in the neighborhood and… there's something I need to ask you."

"Alright, come in," Odalia responded as the two went in with Ghost following them. The cat looked up to Odalia, tilting her head as she followed Amity to the living room, where both girls sat on a couch.

Odalia sat across from them. "Okay, this is… a surprise that you're here. I was just talking with Ms. Regal about the trial."

"Yeah, Lilith once mentioned it," Amity responded. "But what we're actually here for is… information."

"Last night we were at the art gallery when the Grim Goblin suddenly attacked," Luz mentioned, shocking Odalia.

"What?! Are you two alright?" she asked them.

"We are, no one got hurt luckily," Amity reassured her. "But I did see dad there too."

"You did?" Odalia asked her.

"Yeah, we talked briefly but then Gibson Oscorne showed up and cut me off," Amity mentioned. "He said he was an old friend of yours and dad, and the CEO of SCORN."

"Gibson… yes, I did know him a long time ago," Odalia confirmed.

"What can you tell us about him?" Luz asked.

"Well, he is part of the Abominations Coven, and due to his recommendations I once hired him as part of Alador's research team," Odalia explained. "His family were geniuses in many ways, from his grandfather in potions to his great-grandfather in plants, a demon man like him was perfectly suited to work at Blight Industries. We even tried to have his son be friends with the twins, but we all know how that turned out."

"Yeah…" Amity said, knowing full well.

"But despite that, Gibson was one of Alador's entrusted research partners," Odalia said with a look of regret. "But then there's the Abomatonium Project…"

"Abomatonium?" Amity asked.

"A new magical element that Alador made by accident with his experiments, but it had a lot of potential," she explained. "It was high-energy-yielding but it was also unpredictable. I was determined to tap into its potential and even then your father had the fire flu I… made him work through it." She winced at herself when bringing it up.

"I have got to work harder to introduce the concept of unions around here…" Luz mentioned.

"Me and Gibson were equally as determined to harness the Abomatonium by testing it out with an Abomination summoned by Alador. But the testing result was… unfavorable," Odalia continued. "How the Abomation reacted to it… it got bigger and bigger until it exploded in the testing lab, which blew up a part of the compound. We had to evacuate from the premises… after that, I blamed Gibson for the failure and fired him along with half of the research team, even though they were only doing their jobs." Guilt was shown on her face. "Not one of my finest moments. After that, we shut down the Abomatonium Project and considered it a failure. Gibson then went to use his earnings to found his own start-up company at Metropelvis. We haven't heard or talked to him ever since… until recently when Calypso contacted me about seeing Alador with Gibson at Scooter Crane's funeral."

"From what I've heard, the Grim Goblin first popped up around the same time," Amity said suspiciously. "And during the attack, Gibson vanished only to reappear afterward… is there a connection?"

Odalia confirmed it. "Honestly, I don't believe Gibson would be the Grim Goblin," Odalia admitted. "I do think you are right to be suspicious of him, but I can't see him dressing up as a costumed terrorist and going around causing mayhem. Like, what does he have to gain from it? And while he never apologizes, which is one of the reasons we had trouble getting along, he had nothing against the Emperor's Coven. So I find the idea of him being the Grim Goblin to be… unlikely."

"I guess I'm just worried about dad and the people he is keeping around him now…" Amity admitted.

"Me too," Odalia admitted. "You know, he hasn't been back here since becoming Coven Head."

"Really?" Amity asked in surprise. "So has it been… just you here?"

Odalia looked around the house and sighed. "Yes, just me and the Abominations. This house has felt… lifeless and empty lately," she admitted. "Because I suppose I deserve nothing less."

They were silent for a moment, Luz looking from Amity to Odalia. She cleared her throat. "Um… you know, I don't think we had an energy bar before we left, and school doesn't start in an hour, so…"

"Oh, you two didn't eat on the way?" Odalia asked.

"We decided to wake up early and stop by here," Amity responded.

"Okay, I'll fix something. There's still some food in the fridge so you two can wait here until it's ready," Odalia said as she got up.

"Actually," Amity said. "I was thinking of looking around here some more and… checking out my old room."

"Oh," Odalia responded with a sigh. "Well, it's been left untouched since you left."

Walking upstairs, Amity was accompanied by Luz as they entered the room that had once belonged to Amity Blight…

Amity looked around, seeing how the room was actually left mostly untouched, with only some of her belongings moved out so it could be brought to the Owl House. Besides that, it was how Amity had left it before leaving with Puck. The memories Amity had in this room flooded her, from her spending time with Willow to her friendship break-up with Willow to sitting in her room alone with her Azura books to Emira and Edric's talk to Puck's visits to when Luz sang to her and slept over after Grom to her being disillusioned with the Emperor's Coven to the point of burning Lilith's poster to her and Alador's talk…

"How are you feeling?" Luz asked her.

Amity looked stoic as she responded. "It… doesn't feel like it's my room anymore," she admitted. "This place… doesn't feel like home anymore." She turned to Luz, holding her hand. "My home is with you now, Luz."

The two smiled and they stayed in the room a moment longer before Odalia called them for breakfast.

"Here you go," Odalia said as she handed them plates of food she unfroze.

"Pizza bagels…" Luz commented while Amity held up one.

"Yes, I found some still there in the fridge. They're Ed's favorites," Odalia replied nervously. "I um… hope it's to your liking…?"

Amity took one pizza bagel and ate it. She smiled. "It's pretty great," she said. "You know… maybe we should do something like this again sometime."

"That… that would be nice," Odalia said, her voice hopeful.

Luz smiled, recognizing that Amity and Odalia were starting to rebuild their relationship. It would still take time, but at least they were healing…

After breakfast at Blight Manor, the two girls made it to Hexside. Down the hall, they met up with Willow.

"Hi, guys," Willow said, waving to them.

"Hey, we got your text," Luz replied.

"Is everything alright?" Amity asked her.

"Everything's fine… it's just," Willow sounded awkward as she led them to the Illusion Track homeroom. "Take a look…"

The two looked and their jaws dropped. Over there by the desks was Gus Porter… now with a gothic look. His hair was twisted up in drop fade-style hair locks with light blue and purple tips. He had a dark eye-liner that had lines drop to his face. He had a skull earring and his uniform was dyed black with his white sleeves and leggings having black stripes. He now wore black skull boots and black fingerless gloves, and a black belt with a silver moth emblem.

"Oh my Titan…" Luz said while backing away, trying to process this. "What happened to our Gus?!"

"He came home like this," Willow responded. "I think he's… going through things."

"Okay, maybe it's nothing to worry about," Amity suggested. "He could be trying out new things, but he's still the same old Gus we know and love… right?"

Willow turned to Luz. "Luz, you went through a goth phase at his age, what can you tell us about it?"

"Honestly, it's nothing compared to this," Luz replied while looking concerned. "But I know that he's going through some stuff, so we need to tread this carefully."

"Hey guys," Gus said as he walked towards them. "I see you noticed that I got a new look."

"Oh yeah, you look great!" Luz said immediately.

"Yeah, especially the eyeliner and… adding stripes to your sleeves," Amity added, the two being supportive.

"So um… what made you want to try out the goth look?" Luz asked him.

"Well, I've been thinking a lot and after visiting the Bard Coven, I've decided to try out goth. I even had Eve give me some pointers."

"Eve… helped you?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, she showed me all kinds of goth styles like industrial and Deadwardian, but in the end I decided to go urban with a mix of metal," Gus explained.

"That's terrific!" Luz declared.

And then Boscha showed up. "Hey guys, how's-" She paused, noticing Gus's gothic look. "Gus… what the fuck happened to you?!"

Later in the Abominations Track, Amity was talking to Snope.

"Gibson Oscorne?" Snope asked her.

"Yes, I was wondering if you know something about him?" she inquired. "Since you used to work at Blight Industries and you are a member of the Abomination Coven."

"Well, I never knew him personally," Snope replied. "But I do know of Gibson and he has a… reputation."

Amity looked concerned. "What… kind?"

"Well, he can be ruthless," Snope responded. "There are rumors that he profits off the ideas of others and makes them a part of SCORN's product line without giving the original creators credit. I also haven't been able to reach out to Alador ever since Gibson entered the picture, we haven't even been able to work on our… project together."

"I don't think this Oscorne has my dad's best interests at heart," Amity responded with a suspicious look.

After she finished her talk with Snoke, she walked back to her table and sat next to Jerbo, who spoke up. "Hey Amity, everything alright? Gavin mentioned what happened at that art gallery last night."

"I'm fine, but I can't stop thinking about the Grim Goblin," Amity responded. "And I have a suspicion who it could be."

"Really? Who?" Jerbo asked her.

"I believe it might be Gibson Oscorne," Amity told him. "I don't have evidence yet, but I do intend to expose his terrorism and make him stay away from my dad."

"That does sound serious," Jerbo admitted. "Is there anything I can help?"

Amity gave a thoughtful look. "Yeah… I think it's time we get the old Monster Fighting Club back in business…"

"Are wild witches and maniac goblins terrorizing the Isles?!"

A cartoon showing the chibi Grim Goblin flying around scaring civilians.

"What you need is to go… B.I.G.!"

Appearing in front of him was the chibi Golden Guard along with the seven colorful members of the Boiling Isles Guardians. They shoot the Grim Goblin with their magic beams, causing the Grim Goblin to scream and turn into a golden statue. The heroes stand over him in victory, followed by an explosion.

"The Boiling Isles Guardians… recruited by the Emperor himself, they are here to protect the Boiling Isles as its… Guardians!"

Standing on a stage in Bonesborough were the members of B.I.G. along with the Golden Guard. Felicity was shown covering them.

"I'm Felicity Fox reporting to you live as the Emperor's Coven has unveiled the Boiling Isles Guardians, aka BIG! An appropriate name, since they are looking to be the biggest heroes the Boiling Isles has ever seen!"

Standing in front of B.I.G. and the Golden Guard was Abel, Emily and Adrian standing off to the side as he answered questions from the reporters.

"Tell us, what does B.I.G. provide for the Boiling Isles?" Felicity questioned.

"B.I.G. is an initiative the Emperor's Coven has made to help assist the Golden Guard in taking down the villainy around the Boiling Isles," Abel explained. "Whether it be the Grim Goblin, wild witches, or other wanted criminals who are still at large in the Isles. With their help, we will make the Boiling Isles a better, safer place."

"B.I.G.?" Eve asked while hanging out at the juice bar and chatting with Ollie.

"Oh yeah, I've heard about them from some other scouts," he replied. "They're supposed to create good morale for the public. But if you ask me, I think they're just sell outs."

"You think so?" Eve asked while sipping her drink.

"Yeah, but let's see how they fight giant monsters while piloting giant combined robots," Ollie replied. "I do wonder what my friends would think of this…"

"...What?" Eve asked, confused.

Eda saw the news while watching over the kids at the orphanage.

"The fuck is this?" Jak questioned.

"Yeah, that's what I want to know," Eda responded while narrowing her eyes at these so-called guardians.

"Ooh, can we have the toys? I want the blue one!" Beans replied while jumping up and down in front of the CB. "Mama Eda, can we have BIG toys?!"

"Um… I'll check in with Ms. Hicky," Eda replied.

At the Clawthorne home, Hunter along with Gwen and Dell saw the news about B.I.G.

"What is even going on here…?" Hunter questioned.

"Looks like some sort of publicity stunt," Gwen said while Dell nodded in agreement.

"Hunter, how are you feeling about this?" Dell asked him.

"I don't know…" Hunter admitted while looking at the news.

Holding up a scroll and watching the coverage was a cloaked figure navigating the streets of Bonesborough with a shorter cloaked figure.

"So that's B.I.G.," said the taller cloaked figure.

"B.I.G.?" the shorter cloaked figure asked.

"I'll explain later," Steve said to Hikari as they kept moving.

After leaving the juice bar, Eve found herself staring at the roster of B.I.G. on the poster, noticing their themes.

"Huh, so they go by some kind of animal theme…" She then spotted the Blue Shark Scout, which gave her a thought. "Wait a minute… sword… fish… shark… of course!"

She pulled up her scroll and dialed a number as she waited for the answer. "Come on, come on," she said to herself.

"Yo, Blood Water Gang, this is Aqua."

"Hey, Aqua, it's me, Eve!" Eve replied.

"Eve? Surprised to hear from ya, how ya been?"

"Pretty good," Eve responded. "Um… how's your team?"

"Doing well, we got invited to a mystery solver contest that is later today, and sorry but it looks like we're in a shoe-in to win now that your gang's splitsville."

"Yeah…" Eve replied with a low tone. "But hey, does your gang mind if I join you guys?"

"Really? Are you planning to switch teams?"

"No, no, I just thought it would be fun to go," Eve responded.

"Hang on, let me talk to Know Doubt," Aqua said as she went to talk to her leader while Eve waited then to hear back. "Alright, he said it's all cool school for you to come with us."

Eve smiled. "Great! Thank you, Aqua."

"S'no big, the least we could do after you go missing and all that," Aqua responded. "The Blood Water Gang's always welcome to treat ya."

Meanwhile at LOWTH HQ, Riley was being interrogated by Beocrow, Veronica, Tina, Sioux, and Minerva.

"Alright, Strange," Veronica said. "Please explain why you and Danny keep disappearing right before the Grim Goblin shows up."

"I had a feeling that this would be brought up," Riley replied with a sigh. "Neither of us are the Grim Goblin if that's what you think. Actually, it's a lot more coincidental… and embarrassing."

"Embarrassing how?" Beocrow asked.

Riley began. "Okay, so… Danny has this… issue that I help him with," they explained. "Don't tell him I said this, but Danny has… stomach problems."

"Oh…" Minerva said. "So he's just constipa-"

"Yes," Riley interjected. "Before the Grim Goblin showed up during the parade, I had to take him to a public outhouse. But then the panic started and well… the outhouse was knocked over. I had to keep him invisible to spare the embarrassment."

"Gross…" Veronica winced.

"So the incidents when the Grim Goblin appeared, the school and the art show…" Tina listed off.

"Bathroom breaks," Riley confirmed.

"Guess that crosses out Danny and you as suspects," Sioux declared while making notes. "Plus you and Danny were seen nowhere near Bonesborough when the Grim Goblin attacked the Emperor's Coven precinct."

"Guess that checks out," Veronica said after Riley was dismissed. She looked down, which Sioux took notice of.

"Hey, are you okay?" Sioux asked her.

"Hmm? Oh yeah, just… this whole Grim Goblin thing going on makes me worry…" Veronica admitted.

"Yeah, I think I get the feeling," Sioux replied. "I didn't want to get Eve involved in this, since she just came back and I don't want her to put herself in a dangerous situation with a maniac like the Goblin."

"Is that why you didn't tell her about LOWTH?" Veronica asked.

Sioux nodded. "Yeah, I may not want Eve involved in this, but I also didn't want to give that guy the satisfaction that he split up my team for good and leave this mystery unsolved, even if it means jumping into another team just to make sure my friends are safe."

"I understand the sentiment," Veronica admitted. "You know, sometimes I worry for Donna's safety. I know she loves helping people and as her friend, I want to support her. And I mainly joined LOWTH so I could be there to pull her out if she ever got in over her head."

"Guess we worry for our friends a lot, do we?" Sioux asked.

"Yeah, we sure do…" Veronica said before they were interrupted by an announcement.

"Guys, I got a lead!" Sarah announced as she along with Roxy and Kyle came down the elevator.

The LOWTH members went to the crystal ball computer as Sarah inserted a fleshdrive, typing on the keyboard to show them what they found.

"After acquiring the evidence from the last attack during Peter's art show, I decided to do a little analysis," Sarah states while showing them images of the pumpkin bombs that she managed to contain during the attack. "Those pumpkin bombs contain these potion flasks that have a small label upon close-up."

Beocrow read the label. "Property of S-C-O…"

"SCORN?" Tina asked in shock. "Wait… wouldn't that mean-"

"That the Grim Goblin is someone who works for or is associated with SCORN…" Roxy suggested.

Sioux looked at the clue on the label while thinking it over. "So what's our next step?"

"Tyrone's leading a patrol team to search around and stake-out," Beocrow replied.

"But we are one step closer to solving this case, right?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah," Sioux said while turning to look at the Grim Goblin's wanted poster. "One step closer…"

Elsewhere in Metropelvis, Luz, Amity, Jerbo, and Barcus had made it to the Oscorne estate. They were all wearing all black.

"Okay, here's the plan," Amity said. "I'll use an invisibility spell on us. But once we split up and start looking around, I won't be in range,"

"Which is why you guys will slap the invisible glyphs on yourselves once we avoid detection," Luz said as she handed Jerbo and Barcus the invisible glyphs. "Remember that once we go in, there's no going back… and there could be a good chance we end up going to jail."

"Too bad Viney had to miss out on this," Jerbo said while putting on his mask.

"Ruff(Too busy with Emira, obviously)!" Barcus responded.

Once Amity performed her invisibility spell, Luz flew up carrying them to the roof, where Amity's shadow unlocked the window and slowly lifted it up for them to enter. Amity, Luz, Jerbo, and Barcus entered as they began their search through the mansion for anything incriminating.

Luz walked down the hall while looking at the mask collection, taking note that this Oscorne guy really liked to collect masks.

Amity, while invisible, flew through another hall looking around. She then heard footsteps, causing her to pause as she saw Teri coming out of his room while reading a book. Teri lifted his head, as he thought he heard a noise. He then shrugged and continued reading his book while Amity resumed flying around the house.

Jerbo and Barcus, meanwhile, found themselves in a lobby. There, they looked through the books while Barcus sniffed around.

"There's gotta be like a secret door behind this shelf, right?" Jerbo whispered as Barcus pulled out a book with his jaws. "What's this?" Jerbo asked while grabbing the book from Barcus's mouth. "History's Top 10 Plot Holes? This book has a bookmark in it," he noted as he opened the book to the page marked… revealing a section about the Grim Goblin. "Okay, we gotta show this to Luz and Amity."

"Hmm(But we can't take it)," Barcus whimpered.

"I know," Jerbo said as he pulled up a scroll, snapping pictures of the pages.

Meanwhile, Luz and Amity met up. "Did you find anything?" Amity asked.

"No, but it appears that Gibson has a thing for masks," Luz commented. "Which isn't proof, but it is creepy…"

Amity noticed her shadow coming back and they pointed upstairs. "Sam wants us to go upstairs."

The two headed up and were led to a large bedroom with a black bed with drapes around. Everything was crimson red with a couch to the side, a table, coffee maker, and a mirror. They also saw a large portrait of Gibson's wife, Stacy La Fette-Oscorne.

"So what are we doing here in Gibson's bedroom?" Luz asked.

"Sam said that she found something while scouting around," Amity said while Sam pointed to a closet. The two headed to the closet while Sam opened the door slowly, Luz using a light glyph to see a trunk inside with 'Do Not Open' taped onto it. There was also a lock. "It's locked."

"Don't worry, mom taught me everything about picking locks," Luz replied while pulling out her claw. She dug her claw into the lock and after tinkering it she managed to unlock it.

Opening the trunk, Luz and Amity saw its contents. "It's… filled with a bunch of articles, journals, and old photos," Amity said as they went through the trunks.

"Yeah, about some group of teens from Hexside," Luz replied while reading the names of some of the articles. "Witchling Sleuths busts the so-called Floundering Fae…"

"The Moon People busted by Bobby Bone's mystery team…" Amity looked at the names. "No way… these guys are the original Shadowy Secret Exposers, but with an S."

Luz looked at one photo. "Say, this girl, Vanny Pierce," she said, pointing to the photo. "Kinda looks like that actress Vanessa Pierce…"

"Yeah, and Stacy appears to be the woman from the portrait," Amity replied while noticing Walter Wildes… looked familiar. "Does this guy look familiar to you?"

Luz looked at Walter Wildes. "Huh… I do feel like I've seen him somewhere before…"

It was then they heard someone marching up to the room. Luz and Amity panicked. "Hide!" they said before Amity turned herself and Luz invisible.

They watched as Gibson came in, suspicious that the door was left open. He looked around and spotted the trunk still open, which caused him to panic and rush over, quickly slamming it shut and relocking it. He then decided to walk back into the wall and head downstairs. Sighing in relief, Luz texted Jerbo and Barcus to turn invisible and head out while the two followed Gibson.

They spotted him heading down to the basement, where he looked around before accessing a secret room. The secret room had been mostly cleared out, with only some blueprints left. He looked at the blueprints, which showed models of the gargoyle glider, the pumpkin bombs… and the Grim Goblin suit.

He stared at them in silence before he took them off the wall and placed them in a box. But then he heard a noise behind him.

"We got you now," Amity said as she turned visible while wearing her Abomi-Suit. Luz was in her cambion form while wearing her mask over her mouth.

"Who… what are you doing here?!" Gibson demanded to know while Amity pointed to his blueprints.

"Turning you in!" Amity declared while shooting abomi-goo at Gibson, trapping his hand on a table.

Gibson then drew a spell circle, summoning his Abomination with blue eyes and spots. The Abomination tried to go after them, but Luz flew up to freeze it with her ice spell.

"Ice to meet you!" Luz said while Amity spotted Gibson managing to free himself.

He ran from them, but Luz flew over to block his way. "It's over, Oscorne! We know it's you!"

"Please, you don't understand!" Gibson said while summoning another Abomination to fight her. Luz wrestled against the Abomination while Gibson narrowly squeezed past them.

Amity shot her Abomi-webs to stick to Gibson, who had to take off his suit jacket to escape from her. He shot his own abomi-goo at her, which Amity dodged. "Come back here!"

Gibson continued to dodge while running for the exit. He slammed a button to open a door… only to get hit in the head by something blunt.

Amity and Luz managed to catch up to the knocked out Gibson and they saw who it was that knocked him out… Teri Oscorne. Teri looked up to them and gave a sigh of relief.

"We stopped him…" Teri said.

"Thank you for stopping your father," Amity said when they finished tying up the unconscious Gibson.

"Yeah, even though it must be hard…" Luz said as she looked at the unconscious man.

"I know," Teri told them. "When I heard the commotion from downstairs, I knew that I had to check to see what was going on and that I had to stop my father before he went back to hurting people again…"

Luz and Amity looked at him for a moment before Amity spoke. "How long have you known?"

"I've known for a while," Teri responded, while shifting his eyes to the packed up boxes in the room. "My dad has this… vendetta against Blight Industries and the Emperor's Coven. When he started up his company, S.C.O.R.N. was doing well in making deals for the Emperor's Coven under contract, but then there was an experiment gone wrong, resulting in the Emperor's Coven cutting those deals…"

"What kind of an experiment?" Luz asked in concern.

"He had this… formula created," Teri explained. "His grandfather was a potionist who worked on this formula that granted the user super strength. My dad tries to do the same with Abomination chemicals… on himself." Teri went to flick the light switch off, showing Luz and Amity what it did to his father. "Look…"

The two turned and were shocked to see Gibson's skeleton glowing, seeing it through from his body. Once Teri flicked the lights back on, Luz turned to him. "How the hell can he do that?!"

"That's the effects of the formula," Teri responded. "It not only changes your body, but also your mind. It granted him super strength and with the Grim Goblin suit, he became an unstoppable force."

Amity opened the box and looked at the blueprints. "Why did he make all of this?"

"Well, they're meant for coven scouts," Teri explained. "The suit was made like this to spread fear to wild witches. The gargoyle glider serves as a staff-substitute with the bombs meant to attack enemies." He looked down in guilt. "I know that I should have done something, but my mom… she was killed when I was little and my dad, he… he didn't know how to grieve properly, so it took a toll on him, and…" He wiped some tears away. "I'm… I'm sorry, but this is too much…"

"Hey, don't worry about it," Luz reassured him. "We will get your father the help he needs."

"You… you will?" Teri asked them.

"Of course," Amity told him. "You said that formula warped his mind, so we want to help him."

"Yeah, all of that drugs has been messing with his head," Luz noted while Teri looked at the two girls.

"Thank you," Teri said with a nod. "Eve is so lucky to have friends like you two."

"You know Eve?" Luz asked him.

"Yeah, she's an old friend of mine," Teri replied. "Come on, let's head back up and figure something out."

"Well, glad this whole thing's resolved," Luz said as she and Amity headed upstairs.

"Yeah," Amity responded as she nudged Luz. "And I guess that comic was proof."

"Yeah, the parallels are pretty weird," Luz responded as they went upstairs… and found Jerbo and Barcus knocked out on the floor. "Jerbo? Barcus?!"

"Guys?!" Amity said as the two ran over. "What happened to them?!"

"They're unconscious," Luz responded as she and Amity turned around… to see a pumpkin bomb being thrown at them. Luz quickly turned into her cambion form and got between her friends and the bomb as it went off…

Later, outside of a rec center, Eve had met up with the Blood Waters Gang.

"Eve, you made it!" Aqua waved to her.

"Hey… guys," Eve said, waving to them. "Thank you for letting me come with you."

"It's no sweat, Everscence," Smashermouth replied. "You wouldn't believe the week we had! I was thrown across the beach while stopping that scarfish, and I ain't got no credit for it! No respect, I tell ya."

"Come on, let's all meet and greet," Know Doubt said he led them inside and Eve saw the other mystery solvers.

"Yo-yo-yo, the Chariot Gang demands refreshments, yo!" spoke the Living Chariot along with his gang of a rapper-like bug witches consisting of a black beetle biped with shades, cap, gold chains and a drip jacket, a spider biped girl with long red hair, blue eyes, and a blue tracksuit, and a stick bug biped in a green jacket, baggy jeans, and goggles.

"It's the Living Chariot and his gang: Piddy Smalls, Missy Doja, and Emaskem," June called out.

"And there's Major Cavewitch and the Farming She-Devil Sisters, Taylor, Carrie and Reba," Potshot said, pointing at one table.

Over at the table was a hairy witch man in a tribal loincloth, wearing a cowboy hat with a sheriff badge. With him were demon girls consisting of Taylor, a pale skinned demon with long hair, yellow eyes and a black top and jean shorts with bat wings, Carrie, a dark-skinned girl with a blue afro, blue short overalls with red and white striped shirt, and Reba, a red skinned girl with pink curly hair, a black romper, and cowgirl boots.

Eve then noticed the Surreal Serial Killer Specter along with his gang. "I'm surprised that those guys showed up."

"I know, to think after the Glandus fell they would be still allowed to show their faces here," Smashermouth replied as the ghost flew up.

"Eve! Hey, long time no see," the Specter responded. "Listen, why don't we put the whole incident with the school war thing behind us and be friends?"

Eve gave him a nod. "Yeah, burying the hatchet sounds nice."

And so, each mystery solver meet and greeted one another.

"Girl, it's so good to see you doing okay," Missy said to Eve. "Are you doing okay?"

"I'm fine, Missy, took some for myself, but now I am back to Hexside and the cheer squad," Eve replied.

"Well that's good!" Carrie responded.

"Cavewitch glad that Everscence is doing good!" Major Cavewitch agreed

"So how's the rest of the SSE doing?" Grittney asked.

"Yeah, I heard they broke up," Emaskem mentioned.

Eve sighed. "Yeah, while we did try to make time to hang out, lately we've been… drifting away and I think they still feel affected by that Grim Goblin attack. And yeah, I'm upset that my friends decided to just… quit." She wished that she could tell her team about her being in the Human Realm and what she knew about Belos… but she knew she couldn't.

It was a secret that she was gonna have to keep to herself.

"Attention, all mystery-solving witches, we're all about to begin!"

Everyone gathered at their tables. Eve sat with the Blood Waters Gang as they saw a spotlight on the stage of the rec center. "And now for the honored host of the first annual Mystery-Solvers Awards, give it up for Blogi M. Ring!"

Showing up with his back turned to the teens was the host, who was wearing an oversize purple coat with a top hat as everyone clapped.

"Blogi M. Ring… has anyone ever heard of him?" Eve asked.

"Nope!" June replied.

"First time hearing that name," Potshot replied.

"Thank you, thank you!" Blogi responded while turning around and holding up the microphone. "Now let this be a time to celebrate all of your hard work in busting crooks in costumes, solving the unsolvable mysteries, and the meddling, oh the good ol' meddling!" He hid his face with his top hat. "You are all good mystery solvers… but I wonder, can you solve the spelling of my name?"

The mystery solvers were confused but then they saw his name pop up in an illusion. Blogi continued. "Now if you mix the letters of my name, it becomes another name! Can you guess?"

"Um… Ogi Blimrg?" Taylor asked.

"Bloin! His name is spelled Bloin!" the Living Chariot guessed.

Eve tried to make sense of the spelling as she narrowed her eyes at the letters… and then she gasped in realization. "The Grim Goblin…"

"That's right!" Blogi shouted as he pointed to the Blood Waters Gang's table, gave a snickering laugh, and pulled his hat off. "And now the real show's about to begin!"

Everyone gasped, seeing that the Grim Goblin was the host. They tried to run to the exits, but they were sealed shut. The Grim Goblin got up on his glider, laughing at them while circling above their heads.

"We're trapped!" Smashermouth cried out while Cavewitch used his club to try to break down the door.

"It's no use!" Emaskem cried out.

"We're doomed!" Potshot and Gusher cried while hugging each other.

"Indeed you are, cowards!" the Grim Goblin laughed while flying over them. He stepped down from his glider, everyone steering clear from him. "You meddlesome witchlings have snooped around where your noses don't belong. I thought what happened to the Shadowy Secret Expozers would've given you a lesson in meddling with adult affairs… but apparently it didn't!"

"Let us go, now!" Aqua shouted at him.

"My dear, I didn't say you'd be let go!" he declared while bringing out his wrist blades. "Each and every one of you dies tonight! One by one! Once the Emperor's Coven finds your bodies, all of the Isles will despair over the 'Mystery-Solvers Slaughter' incident!"

All looked in fear as the Grim Goblin searched for his first victim.

"Hey, don't look at me, I'm already dead!" Specter pointed out.

Then the Grim Goblin grabbed Gusher. "W-W-Wait!" Gusher cried out.

"You Emo-Teens are from Glandus!" he declared while raising his blades. "A good start…"

"Stop!"

He stopped and he turned to see Eve stepping up.

"Let him go!" she told him.

"Oh? Wanting to play hero, do you?" The Grim Goblin asked while shoving Gusher aside, but when he got a closer look at Eve he paused. "I know you… the previously missing Everscence Slipknot. You just came back and already you have a death wish associating with these thrill-seeking teenagers!" He gave a grin as he came closer to her. "I enjoyed terrorizing your little teammates…"

Eve glared at him. "Let us all go, there's no need for bloodshed."

"My, how brave you are!" he commented in amusement. "Alright, none of you will die by my blade, you're all spared!" he declared while grabbing Eve by the arm. "But I'm taking her with me! Is that a problem?"

Eve began to struggle, but she realized that going with him would get him to spare everyone else, so she just looked at him silently.

"Good," he declared as he stepped on his gargoyle glider while holding Eve. He then flew them out the window, throwing a flask behind them that exploded into a purple goo substance that covered the window.

"Why did you cover the window?!" Eve asked while turning to the Grim Goblin.

"I said I would spare their lives," he declared while giving a grim. "But the bomb that I've planted inside hasn't agreed to anything!"

"What?!" Eve shouted as she tried to jump, but the Grim Goblin got a hold of her and gagged her.

"Try not to fall!" he told her with a laugh.

"The doors are still sealed!" Justine shouted while trying to break the door.

"It's no use, that creep sealed the doors!" Specter shouted as he phased back inside. "Apparently, he's got some Abomi-goo stuck to the doors and exits outside!"

"Wait… do you guys hear that?" Emaskems asked as he heard something.

"Sounded like… ticking!" Taylor declared as she flew onto the stage, where she found that underneath the podium was a bomb. "He rigged a time bomb on us!"

"Want me to get it?" Specter asked.

"Hold up, we can't be sure if this bomb will set off if we move it!" Piddy declared. "Alright, what we need are the smartest ones of our groups to help disarm this bomb." He stepped up along with Carrie, Gusher and June.

"Anyone here a potionist? Maybe they can help with the bomb," June suggested.

"I'm gonna need some constructionists to help break down the doors," Justine said while Reba and Smashermouth came up.

"I can help with that!" Reba replied.

"My nose is not just a sword," Shashermouth said as some tools popped out of his nose. "It also doubles like a pocket knife!"

"Cavewitch can't take this high pressure!" Cavewitch declared while Reba tried to calm him down.

"Easy there, Major. We'll get out once we figure out-"

"Cavewitch wants out now!" he shouted while feeling overwhelmed. The neanderthal witch kept knocking down tables as he picked up the Living Chariot and threw him across the room.

"YAAAH!" he cried.

Major Cavewitch used his club to try to smash the doors, but it was no use. Everyone tried to calm him down, but when he looked at the others working at the bomb, he roared. He ran down to the bomb, grabbing a chunk of the podium connected to it.

"Sheriff, no!" Taylor cried out, but it was too late as the Cavewitch… engulfed the bomb in his mouth.

Everyone looked in shock to see him perform this action. Major Cavewitch then burped out a large fireball that burnt through the walls.

"…Well, at least we're out," Grittney said.

Aqua quickly rushed out and looked up at the sky. "We need to contact Eve's friends…"

In the now damaged Oscorne mansion, Amity opened her eyes to find herself trapped under rubble while abomi-goo poured all over her.

"Crap…" Amity said while trying to get out of the rubble. "LUZ! JERBO! BARCUS! TERI!" she cried while trying to get out. She managed to slip her arm out before she felt it grabbed by someone else. "Luz?"

"Maya," she replied while using her wings to move the rubble. "Hang on, I'm getting you out!"

Maya pushed the rubble off of Amity as Amity managed to crawl out. "Where's… where's Jerbo and Barcus?"

"Got them out," Maya said. "That pumpkin bomb knocked Luz out when she stood in the way while you were shooting that purple gunk to protect us. I took over and got those two out and while I was looking for you, Sam popped up and led me to where you're shouting."

Amity sighed. "Thanks… I think Gibson freed himself and got the jump on us… Teri!" she realized while going back to the rubble. "He's still in there, help me out!"

Both Maya and Amity worked together to move debris while Sam helped search, eventually calling out to Amity.

"I think I found him!" Sam shouted while pointing at a red hand sticking out of the rubble. Quickly Maya and Amity rushed over and began to dig him free…

Somewhere in an old SCORN compound, the Grim Goblin had arrived with Eve in his grip.

"Let me go!" Eve cried out while hitting his back and using her knee to hit him in the face.

"Ow!" He let go and Eve rolled the floor. She looked up and saw the Grim Goblin approaching her, but she grabbed a wooden plank and swung it at him.

"AH!" she shouts but the Grim Goblin blocked her attack, which resulted in the plank shattering.

"There's no use in trying to escape," he said while Eve drew a spell circle to shoot a blue flame at him. He dodged while grabbing her by the wrists.

"Let me go, you sicko!" she shouted while kicking him.

"Stop resisting, Eve!" he shouted at her. "I'm not going to hurt you!"

"What?!" Eve asked as rope wrapped around her. "Hey!"

"There, now you can stop," he declared after restraining her with a spell.

"What's going on? Why are you doing all this?!" Eve shouted, glaring at him. "If you're gonna kill me…"

"No, I was never going to hurt you, Eve, like I said," the Goblin declared while walking towards her. "And let me show you why…" He then grabbed his mask and started removing it…

"Oh my Titan…" Luz said, having awoken.

"Yeah, didn't see this coming," Maya agreed.

"It… it can't be him…" Amity replied as they saw who they had brought out of the rubble…

"Ugh… what just… hit me?" asked Gibson Oscorne, holding up his head while one of his horns was chipped. He looked up at the two girls. "You… you two attacked me earlier…"

Eve's eyes widened in shock. "No… nonononono, it can't be you…"

"Oh but it is," spoke Teri Oscorne, speaking to her without the mask. "I'm the Goblin," he said while Eve fell back. He walked over to her and knelt down. "You see, Eve, I'm doing all of this for Terrorance…"

"What?" Eve asked, trying to process this. "But… you're Teri."

"No, I'm the Goblin. His other half," Teri responded with a grin. "You see, you're special to Teri. He cares about you and while soon all of the Isles will be judged… but you'll be spared from that," he explained. "You are the reason for everything, Eve. My attacks were because the Emperor's Coven and your friends failed to protect you, failed to keep you from going missing." He held his hand over her face, which scared her. "And attacked the art show to go after Gibson, who tried to separate me and Teri, along with the other sins he has to answer for…" One of his fists tightened, but he continued. "And I tried to kill all of those other meddling teens because they wouldn't listen, because they kept going down the same path that Teri's mother did and there is only one end to that path… death." He smiled at her as he said.

Eve was shaken as she looked at Teri. This was not him, not her Teri. "Teri… please, you need help…"

He looked down at her. "He does need help… which is what I am doing. The only thing that Teri needs is me… and you."

"You two alright?" Luz asked after making an ice pack with her ice magic and a large leaf Jerbo summoned.

"Yeah, me and Barcus are good," Jerbo replied while holding the makeshift ice pack over his head.

"Alright, can you explain everything about this, Mr. Oscorne?" Amity demanded after getting Gibson out of the rubble.

Gibson sighed. "I supposed that there's no point in keeping this a secret any longer… my son, Teri, is the Grim Goblin," he revealed.

"So he was the one that threw the bomb at us," Luz realized.

"And knocked us out!" Jerbo pointed out.

"Please, don't take this against him, my son's a good young demon. A better demon than I am," Gibson admitted while looking down. "I don't think he's even aware that he is the Goblin. This all started when I learned that some of the equipment from my company went missing. When the Grim Goblin first attacked, I recognized my stolen equipment and so I attempted to cover up its connections to me. I eventually learned that Teri was the Grim Goblin, but I wanted to keep it a secret since I didn't want my boy to get in trouble with the Emperor's Coven. When I learned of his attack at St. Epiderm, I attempted to keep him closer and get rid of his equipment, but the Goblin… he didn't respond too kindly to that, which was why he tried to kill me during the art show."

"So your disappearance at the time…?" Amity pointed out.

"I left when I thought I saw Teri there, but then the Grim Goblin showed up. I kept myself hidden, knowing that he was after me," he explained. "I've also been trying to find the other lairs where his equipment is stashed, letting Teri go out as the Goblin so I can follow him to those lairs."

"Teri also mentioned that you were drinking some kind of abomi-formula that made your bones glow in the dark," Luz pointed out, which confused Gibson. "He said it was something your grandfather created."

"What formula?" he asked while taking out a broken flask of liquid. "You mean this? This is nothing but ecto-ghouler, a promotional special flavor brand that the Ghoul-Aid brand made twenty years ago. It was discontinued due to the side-effects making you glow in the dark. I have my own personal stockpile of it, since I'm rich."

Jerbo looked it up on his scroll. "It's true, his story checks out," he said, showing Luz and Amity the article on the drink. "Ever since they learned that it contains ninety percent more ectoplasm rather than the usual nineteen percent, the health department ended the promotion."

"And besides, my grandfather created a formula that only affects ratworms," Gibson pointed out.

"So… if you're not the Grim Goblin, but your son is…" Amity replied while looking unhappy. "You knew that your son is mentally hurt, and you let the Grim Goblin get away hurting people rather than give him the proper help he needs!"

"Father of the year," Luz sarcastically said.

"Please, you have to understand-"

"I understand too well, Gibson," Amity cut him off. "You're responsible for releasing that maniac! There were other ways you could have gone about to find his lairs, you could've immediately pulled your son out of school and placed him in the Healing Coven or the Oracle Wards, they would have helped your son with this whole Goblin thing!" she shouted at him.

"I've only been doing my best to protect him, I'm not going to apologize for that…" Gibson said as he glared at Amity.

"Arf-Arf!" Barcus barked as Jerbo looked at his scroll.

"Oh man, guys, Eve has been kidnapped by the Grim Goblin!" Jerbo revealed. "According to his girlfriends, they just got in contact with one of their rival mystery-solvers and learned that the Goblin took Eve!"

"Come on, we have to-" Gibson was then gooed down to the floor by Amity. "What do you think you're doing?"

"I still don't trust you," Amity told him. "So you're staying here while we go look for your son. And stay away from my dad, okay?"

"Jerbo, Barcus, keep an eye on him," Luz told the two.

"You got it, boss/Arf!" Jerbo and Barcus saluted.

"Hold on, at least let me help! I don't want my son hurt, and I don't want Eve hurt as well!" he told them. "I think I may know where his lairs are…"

"Teri, please… this isn't you!" Eve begged.

"And like I've said before, my dear, Teri's out… I'm in," the Goblin told her.

It was then Eve decided to try something by reciting a poem. "The brim of my soul, shall set til the moon bleeds…"

The Goblin tilted his head when she said this, his facial expression changing. "'To bond two mates together at times of need,'" he recited while looking at Eve. "E-Eve? What… what's going on? Why are you tied up?"

Eve realized that her friend was back. "Teri! Thank Titan you're alright! Listen, you have to untie me and we'll get this sort out-"

"Why… am I in this?" Teri asked himself while looking at the costume he was wearing and spotting the mask on the floor. "No… nonono, I- I'm the Grim Goblin, am I?"

"Teri, I know it's a lot to process, but-" She then heard him laugh… creepily.

"Ehehehhehe… ohohohoh... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Teri laughed darkly while his expression changed back to the Goblin. "Oh, you had me going there, glad that I regained control as quickly as I did!" He grabbed Eve by the collar of her shirt, lifting her up. "Listen up, Slippy, things are coming for the Isles… terrible things…"

"What… what do you mean?" Eve asked her.

"The Day of Unity will never come…" he declared, causing Eve to gasp.

CRASH!

The two turned and saw the doors had been busted open. Coming in were Luz and Amity. "Hey, creeper, leave that witch alone!" Luz declared.

"It's over, Teri, you need to be stopped!" Amity shot abomi-goo to grab Eve, pulling her away from him.

"You think you've won?" the Grim Goblin asked while walking towards them.

Luz took the first punch as she flew over to hit him, but the Grim Goblin blocked her punch and headbutted her causing her to be launched back. Amity with her abomi-gauntlets went to punch him down, but he threw her across the room.

When Luz got back up, she swung her leg to hit him in the face, but he grabbed her leg, swung her around, and sent her into several crates. "You gotta do better than that!" he declared before Amity kicked him in the back, knocking him to the floor. But he quickly got back up and shot flames at the two.

Luz and Amity dodged the flames while Amity sent out a large abomi-fist at the Grim Goblin, who threw out some bombs at her, which exploded in a flash, blinding her. She backed away before feeling a punch to the stomach by the Grim Goblin.

"Amity!" Luz ran to her girlfriend's aid as she and Maya worked together to fight against the Grim Goblin. He turned around and was met with a fist to his face. Luz sent out another punch, but he grabbed her fist and then twisted her arm. "AUGH!"

"Squirm, you little worm…" the Goblin told her.

"Get away from her, you bitch!" Amity shouted while throwing a crate from behind using her abomi-arm. He let go of Luz to duck under the crate, allowing Luz to sweep him off his feet. He flipped back to his feet while activating his blades in an attempt to stab Luz, but his arms were covered in abomi-goo as Amity slung his gauntlets off from his wrists, leaving only black sleeves.

"Fine, I don't need them," the Goblin said while grabbing Luz's arm and hitting her across her back, then kicking her in the stomach. He then threw her towards Amity, causing both girls to crash into each other. "You are more fun than that Emily Tricks girl!" he declared while marching up to them.

Luz and Amity got back up and Luz's cambion scales turned white while her wings were now more softer than angular as she shot ice shards to stop the Grim Goblin at his tracks. He responded by drawing fire spells to counter. "Did you forget that I can do spells?"

"...Fuck, I think I did," Luz replied while Amity shot her Abomi-goo at him in an attempt to trap him.

The Goblin sidestepped to avoid the purple slime before he sent bats towards them, making them cover themselves from the swarm.

"Wait," Amity said while not feeling the bats. "This is an illusion trick!"

"Bingo!" he declared, punching Amity in her side. Luz tried to fight back, but he punched her in the face. He then kicked both girls down while they were still under the swarm of imaginary bats before kicking them while they were down. "Pathetic! Both of you!" he declared while he grabbed Luz, punching her some more before Amity swung her foot at his head. The Goblin saw her swing another kick, but he blocked it and kicked her to the chest. Luz grabbed him from behind, but he elbowed her in the stomach, then flipped her away from him while Amity did another kick. He blocked it as he blocked Luz's punch, twisting both girl's limbs to make them fall down. Luz used her wings to swipe at him, but then he drew a fire spell on her, burning her in the back.

"YAH!" Luz cried out while the Goblin kicked her back.

The Goblin then turned to see Amity's fist launching at him, which he grabbed. He then sucker punched her across the face and in the stomach. He hit her arm, which made her scream.

"AAAH!" she shouted while he punched her in the side repeatedly before throwing her away

"You two think you can stop me like all your enemies!?" The Goblin declared.

Meanwhile, Eve had managed to free herself, since it wasn't her first time tied up. She then summoned her crystal ball, shooting blue lightning at his back.

"AAH!" the Goblin shouted while turning to see Eve being the one that took the shot. "You!"

"Leave them alone!" Eve declared while holding her crystal ball, her eyes starting to glow white. "I summon thee, oh spirits!" she called out while a purple aura surrounded her and coming out from her crystal ball… was a large spirit with an ax.

"From harvest day, the corn is a-common," spoke the large familiar ghost with a flaming beard and an ax. "From the spirit realm, I have been summoned!" Archibald Corduroy declared, while looking around. "Wait, why was I summoned?"

Eve looked up at the ghost, her eyes widened as Archibald noticed her. "YOU!"

"Out of all the spirits… I summoned you?!" Eve exclaimed in shock.

"I'm just as shocked as you are!" Archibald responded in confusion.

The Goblin backed away. "What… what is this?"

Eve turned to him, then to Archibald. "I don't know how this happened, but think you can scare him?"

"Scare? That I can do!" Archibald declared while floating towards the Grim Goblin.

"Stay back!" the Goblin shouted as he shot flames at him while picking up one pumpkin bomb to throw at the ghost. But Archibald just levitated the bomb and threw it behind him as it exploded out the window.

"Do you wish to be judged for your actions, worm?" Archibald asked while levitating the crates around him. "Let me judge upon you, so you can squirm!" He launched the crates down towards the Grim Goblin.

"Screw this!" the Goblin shouted while running away, the crates crashing down around him. He tapped his belt, the gargoyle glider flying up towards him as he jumped on it. He escaped through the window. "I'm out of here!"

However, as he tried to fly away, he was almost hit by a boulder. "AAH!" he shouted while hanging onto his glider while another bolder launched at him making him dodge it. "What in Titan's-?!" Then a large lightning bolt shaped like a music note struck his glider, causing the Grim Goblin to fall onto the streets. "Oof! Ah! Eek!" He rolled over, but before he could get up he was suddenly wrapped up by large vines. As he struggled, he found himself in front of a certain group. "You've got to be kidding me!"

"We got him," Linkin said as he, along with Korn, Sioux, and the Cerberus stood over him.

"Guys!" shouted Eve as she, along with the injured Luz and Amity, who were helped up by Archibald, ran up to her friends. "I can't believe… the trap, you've… you've all showed up!"

"When Aqua texted us that you got kidnapped, we knew we had to do something," Sioux said.

"Yeah Eve, we… may have split up and tried to leave mystery solving behind," Linkin admitted.

"But when we heard that you were in trouble, we weren't gonna do nothing," Korn added.

"Even if it means facing this Goblin jerk," Patty responded.

"Say," Cyndi said, noting his unmasked appearance. "Doesn't this guy kinda look like…?"

"It is," Eve confirmed sadly. "Guys, this is Teri Oscorne, an old friend of mine that I've mentioned before. I think he needs help."

Sioux noticed Luz and Amity. "Are you two alright?"

"Yeah, we'll live," Luz replied while feeling sore as Archibald placed them down.

Amity was about to say something, but then she noticed a black ball hit the ground and her eyes widened. "Take cover!"

The ball opened up and spread black smoke around. Luz and Amity, with their remaining strength, along with Archibald, helped the SSE members clear the area. Once the smoke dispersed, they saw Teri was gone.

"Teri!" Eve cried out, rubbing the ground. "Where… where did he go?!"

"I don't think he escaped," Sioux admitted. "I think someone took him."

Later, the Emperor's Coven had made it to the Goblin's lair, where they confiscated all of his weapons found stashed and hidden. Luz, Amity, and the SSE all met up privately, away from the Emperor's Coven. Sam also rejoined Amity, having been scouting.

"So… you're able to summon that crazy ghost now?" Luz asked Eve while pointing to Archibald.

"Is it really alright?" Amity asked in concern. "I mean, what happened last time…"

"Nah, I think I got all of my decades of anger out of my system," Archibald reassured the girls.

"I think I know why I summoned him," Eve explained. "Since I caught and released him by accident, I guess he's one of the spirits that I'm able to summon now… I don't think I've ever summoned a spirit from another realm before, or if it's been done. I guess we're bonded!"

"I guess… I am at your service when you need me," he said before disappearing into the crystal ball. "But until then, I will return to my rest…"

After that, Linkin walked up to Eve. "Eve, for what we… know about how Oracle Magic works, I don't think Oracles can summon human spirits."

Eve looked nervous while turning to Luz, who gave her a nod. Eve sighed. "Guys, there's… one thing you should know," she said while whispering to them. "When I went missing… I was in the Human Realm."

This shocked them. "You were?!" Korn asked.

"I was stranded there," she explained to them, still whispering. "A Fae came to my room and kidnapped me before stranding me in the Human Realm to test out a portal door he made. Luckily, I eventually met up with Amity and Gus who were also trapped. Then Luz showed up along with her family and then after the universe almost ended and we met up with Willow, we made it back. We had to use the Tarot Guild as a scapegoat because it's really important that the Emperor's Coven doesn't know about it."

"Don't hold it against her," Luz told the SSE. "It's very important that the Emperor's Coven doesn't know where Eve really was, so not even your other friends and family can know."

"That does explain Eve's interest at the Humans Appreciation Society," Sioux pointed out.

"Who else knows where you guys really were?" Blondie asked.

"Our friends, my siblings, the Parks, and… my mother knows," Amity explained. "But you guys have to promise not to tell anyone else."

"Don't worry, we know how to keep secrets," Linkin reassured them.

"But hey, now that the whole thing's… kinda over with the Grim Goblin thing… does this mean the team's back together again?" Eve asked them.

The goth teens looked at one another, then looked down as Linkin spoke. "We… we're not so sure."

"I mean, we can still be friends and hang out," Korn suggested.

Sioux sighed. "I have been hanging out with other people and, well… I don't think that it will stop. Plus the Goblin is still out there."

"Yeah, we have our own lives with our own things going on," Blondie said.

"For us, it's graduation." Cyndi pointed out.

"Oh… right," Eve responded while looking down.

Luz and Amity looked at them in pity, but then a realization hit them. "Wait!" Luz grunted. "Me and Ams… we discovered something you guys might be interested in."

"There was this trunk when we were… investigating the Oscorne estate," Amity responded. "Gibson kept a trunk full of photos, newspaper articles, and journals about the original SSE that he was keeping hidden."

"Gibson had that?" Eve asked before remembering something else and turning to her gang. "Listen, I also got in contact with someone named Mr. Rebus. They somehow knew the Goblin was going to target the other mystery solvers… and he said it all leads back to the original SSE."

"Then… it looks like this mystery isn't close to being over, is it?" Linkin asked.

"Looks that way," Korn responded with a gulp.

"And it is connected to our predecessors," Sioux responded, while turning to the others. "I think this is something we should look into, because I get the feeling we are going to get involved one way or another."

"One more mystery?" Blondie asked.

"For old time's sake?" Cyndi asked.

"Let's get the gang back together again!" Pat finished. "With Eve as our leader!"

"Wait… me?" Eve asked, shocked.

The others looked at each other and nodded.

"Yeah, I think that is probably for the best," Linkin said. "Eve, you are like the abomi-goo that sticks us together. We are not a team without you and for now… we would like to follow your lead on this, especially since this is what you want, to bring us back together."

"Sounds good to me!" Korn agreed.

"Whatta ya say?" Sioux asked her.

"I… I feel so… honored," Eve replied while tearing up. "Oh you guys are the best!" she cried while going to hug them, but then she tripped and hit the ground. "Ow…"

"So um… I texted Jerbo and he and Barcus got the trunk," Amity spoke up. "Where would you guys like for it to be dropped?"

"We know a place where you can tell him where to send it," Sioux suggested, while Eve picked herself up and looked toward the sky. She frowned, knowing that while her friends had her back, there was still one friend of hers who was out there and needed help…

And with the help of her team, that was what Eve intended to do.

In Lokitown, Jerbo knocked on a door and opening it was Vanessa Pierce.

"Hi, we're friends with the SSE," Jerbo announced while he and Barcus held up a trunk "They said you should have this."

Vanessa looked at the trunk and brought it up, opening it to see its contents. She gasped. "Oh my Titan…" she said while holding up an old photo. "The original gang… Bobby, Stacy, Cuddlebuns…" Her expression changed into a glare as her eyes landed on a turquoise haired teenage boy with a tail that had a tuft at the end. "Vernworth."

Jerbo and Barcus looked at the photo. "Um… it says here his name is Walter Wildes…" he pointed out.

"That was his stage name," Vanessa told him. "We were all drama kids back then." She sighed. "But now Stacy is dead, Bobby and Cuddlebuns are missing, and Vernworth?" She scowled and shook her head. "Adrian is a Coven Head now…"

Adrian Graye Vernworth sat behind his desk in his office, looking over some paperwork when he heard the door open. He looked up and saw who it was that came in.

"You wanted to see me, Head Witch?" Emily asked as she removed her coven scout mask.

"Ah, apprentice," Adrian said as he stood up and walked around his desk. "I just got some new decorations for the office and I wanted your thoughts on them." He gestured toward a tarp covering some large objects that were in the room.

"Um, okay…" Emily said, sounding uncertain as she turned toward the tarped objects. "They are certainly… big. What are they?"

"Examples," Adrian said as he pulled off the tarp, revealing that underneath were the statues of two adult witches. He heard Emily gasp and he smiled. "Do they look… familiar to you?"

Emily's eyes widened, her body shaking as she recognized the statues. "T-t-they're-"

Margo and Hamilskin Tricks. Her parents.

"Just two petrified wild witches," Adrian said as he walked behind Emily and placed his hand on her shoulder. "I asked Warden Wrath to have them brought here from the Conformatorium."

Emily looked up at him. "W-why?"

"Because I thought you could use some incentive," Adrian told her as he leaned closer. "Cross has been doing such a good job playing the part of the Golden Guard this week. If you aren't careful, he might overshadow you. And I don't think we want that, do we?" He squeezed her shoulder. "Never forget, Tricks. You are replaceable. Do as you are told and don't let me down and you will be fine. But disobey or fail me too many times… and you will be joining your parents." He released her shoulder. "Don't let me be wrong about you, apprentice. Now go. You are dismissed."

Emily quickly left the room while Adrian returned to his place behind the desk. He looked briefly at the two statues, then shook his head and cast a spell to lift the tarps back over them.

In the hallway outside, Emily was breathing quickly as she put her mask back on, tears rolling down her face. She needed to go. And right now, there was only one person she could think of seeing.

Meanwhile, Sarah Atos arrived home to see Jane sipping tea.

"Jane," Sarah said, recognizing the Hexside teaching assistant. "Is Professor Redback here?"

Jane nodded. "Oh you know him, he and your father love sharing their theories," Jane replied.

Sarah nodded and walked into the lobby, where she saw Redback, who signed to her. "Hello to you too, Redback."

"How was your day, Sarah?" her father asked.

Sarah turned to him. "Doing good. And thank you for your help with the investigation into that pumpkin bomb, dad."

"It's no problem, my prodigal apple," spoke a mechanical voice as robot-like arms moves a chess piece to the board. Redback did the same. "By the way, have you come across… the Clawthorne's daughter again?"

"Not today," Sarah responded.

"Well, next time you see her, let her know that I wish for her to… relay a message…" he said. The robotic arms were connected to a jar with a speaker and inside the jar… was a large, glowing brain in a cooler.

Over him was a portrait… of former Potions Head, Staggetarius Atos.

A coven scout knocked on a door. Answering it was Glinda Stella Northstar.

"Hello? Can I help you?" Glinda asked the scout.

"I hope so," the scout said as she removed her mask, revealing herself to be… Emily.

Glinda gasped. "You…!" she said in fear, backing away. "What… what are you doing here, Emily?!" she demanded in a whisper.

"I just… wanted to see you," Emily responded, trying to reach for her face but Glinda backed further away.

"No… no that is not a good idea, Emily," Glinda said, shaking.

Emily looked desperate. "Please, listen-"

"No! You listen to me!" Glinda shouted at her, surprising Emily. "I-I've been doing a lot of thinking, and quite honestly what we had wasn't healthy at all! We weren't good together and we weren't for each other! Especially since you started to hurt me and everyone around you! Including those we once considered our friends!"

"It was their fault!" Emily shouted, making Glinda cringe. Emily noticed this and her tone softened. "Stella, listen… I can change…"

"No, I don't believe you will," Glinda told her. "I'm sorry, but we're done."

Angered, Emily began to shout. "You can't do this to me!" She was then met with the door slamming in front of her. "Stella? Stella! STELLA!" she shouted while banging on the door. Then she noticed an onlooker who had pulled out their crow to report the disturbance she was giving. Not wanting to stay longer, Emily turned and ran.

She didn't want anyone to see her like this.

After flying back to the Owl House, Luz and Amity went inside. Everyone, including Ghost, turned to them and were shocked to see their state.

"What the hell happened to you two?!" Eda exclaimed, seeing them covered in bruises.

"Oh, Dios mío, ustedes dos deberían sentarse y descansar!" Camila said in Spanish while escorting Luz and Amity to the couch. "What were you two doing?!"

"We faced the Grim Goblin…" Luz said while laying back.

"Guy's tough," Amity responded with a wince as Hooty stretched over with the medical kit.

"Well, I don't know how to tell you this, but Luz's recklessness has officially spread to Amity!" Hooty declared.

"Yeah, I think we got that, Hooty," King responded.

"Was there a lesson out of this?" Eda asked while she and Camila helped patch the girls up.

"Yeah… comic books are kinda closer to reality than we thought," Amity said while lying on her pillow. "Someone bring Kay over."

"I'll do it!" King volunteered while Acorn flew up to them.

"Geez, you guys sure took a beating," she commented while Amity shrugged.

"Say Ams, this isn't the only case where an inhabitant of the Boiling Isles is similar to a fictional character from human media," Luz pointed out. "I mean, Eve and her friends remind me of the cast of Scooby-Doo, which Dusty is very reminiscent of Ash from Pokemon. What gives?"

"I… I don't know," Amity admitted. "But I think it's best if we don't think too much about it."

"Yeah, that is probably one mystery best left unsolved," Luz replied while King came up to give Kay to Amity.

In an unknown location, Teri Oscorne woke up.

"Huh…? Where… where am I?" Teri asked as he found himself still in the Grim Goblin suit. He looked around and saw a mirror in front of him.

All he could do… was stare at the mirror and his reflection… grinning at him. "Looks like it's just us..."

Pizza bagels are a fae's favorite food.

So some trivia on the mystery solvers:

The Chariot Gang: Speed Buggy, named after hip-hop artists like P-Diddy/Biggie Smalls(Piddy Smalls), Missy Elliot and Doja Cat(Missy Doja), and Eminem(Emaskem).

Major Cavewitch and the Farming She-Devil Sisters: Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels who are named after country music artists: Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Reba McTrire.

Meg Brimstone and Grip are expies of Gwen and Trent from Total Drama, as shown by Meg's over-complicated relationship problems she had in the show, especially with the Courtney expy. The mention of Mosquita would be a nod to Lashawna, so yeah Napoli would still be dating her.

You can tell that there's a lot of homages to Mystery Incorporated in this chapter. Such as "Mystery Solvers Club States Final", "The Night The Clown Cried" and "The Art of Darkness".

Yeah, we pulled another red herring in making you all think that Gibson is the Grim Goblin, while it turns out to be his son, Teri, as the Goblin! That's right, we got you all once again that it was his son who was the Grim Goblin. While it's true that in Spider-Man where Norman had been the Green Goblin, old-school Spidey fans would also be familiar that in times, Harry Osborn was the Green Goblin through his schizophrenia and after Norman was killed. Harry's been the Goblin up to his death… and then revival.

We also bring in Archibald Coderoy as a ghost Eve summons. Guess while Eve doubles as a expy of the Hex Maniac trainer from Pokemon, Archibald could potentially be like, the Gangar as her summoned ghost. Man, this makes me want to write an Owl House/Pokemon crossover someday…

Also to mentioned about Adrian Graye, who turns out in his backstory he was the Shaggy of the old Shadowy Secret Exposurers, under the stage name Walter Wildes. And who is the Dr. Rebus you ask? Well, that's still one mystery to solve…

And the B.I.G. members are now revealed to be the TD expies we've met previously. Alburno, Venoma, Scarmaron, Skrap, Joana, Thunder, and Le'Belle are formed as a reference to the Villainous Vultures, which is fitting for a team of sell outs.

And it has always been planned to have Raine and Star to leave together, considering Star is a rebel without a cause. But now that the two have left the Owl House to rebuild their rebellion.

And another break up has happened, this time between Emily and Glinda. It was planned for the two to have meet up again, and show just how far Glinda has gone to realized how toxic her relationship with Emily really was.

The scene with Adrian showing Emily the petrified statue of her parents was originally going to appear earlier like in "The Gold Hexperience" chapter, but we forgot. But this is a good place to place them in.

That's all we have to say, so here are the reviews:

Matteso585: 1) Well this fic does take some cues from Hercules. 2) Well, not yet. We did considered but forgot. 3) Okay. 4) Nina had cheer practice so it would be after school. 5) It's not like they could've known that it could do that, nor knowing how it works.

Crosshot: Well, me and Buck have conclude that Donna may be slightly autistic. In all honesty, I have took the inspiration in making Beocrow and Felix half-brothers after Matt and TK from Digimon, which at the time when I was a kid I didn't know what it meant until years later, which even back when the show was dubbed(poorly these days when taking out the nostalgia goggles) I really appreciated the series to tackle that subject. And are you really that surprised that Felicia is a sellout? She and Louie would out-class each other in a sell-out competition.

Guest 1: We're aware of TV Tropes/

RJWritingInk's Review one: Thanks. We all have Sugar, and we don't know if we'll ever used Leonard, nor don't know how to use him in a sense…

OMAC001: We'll tread our main cast list like most tv shows do, cycle them out.

Franco Almiron: Hope you like.

Ultimate-drax: Thanks

Shuffollower: Yes to Draco's meet up with Lupe. Stay tuned to where Donna's brother is at, Felicia is like Louie in a sense, this chapter answers your question about GG in the commercial, no, Cross doesn't have a coven sigil, Terra always knew, and gonna throw it out there...the SNES.

RJWritingInk: Well now that is some philosophical stuff you've wrote there, man.

Next chapter will be the trial of the century, with drama, trauma, and truth bombs...
